Have used the body scrub for a few months now and prefer it to regular shower gels. Keeps my skin blemish free and soft without drying my skin out. Lathers up really fast and saves me time spent in the shower. Definitely compliments the other Carbon Theory products. Simple effective and Definitely makes a difference to my skin. I've been dealing with acne since the age of 12 and so far this bar soap has been an absolute life saver. Its a bit drying and a little goes a long way. More of an every other day wash especially if you have sensitive skin, which is good since you'll avoid wearing out your skin with chemicals. The soap itself is great but the exfoliating bits embedded in the soap are WAY too harsh & scratched up my skin. It's never a good idea to use a physical exfoliator that causes tears or any kind of damage to the skin. This is ESPECIALLY true for ACNE PRONE skin. You run the risk of irritating your acne even more & even spreading acne bacteria. Really wish it was just the bar soap with no physical exfoliator. The search continues.Halloween Candy

Another amazing product from ELF and this product is definitely perfect for every eye, lip, and face 😉😉. It is a gentle exfoliating peel that works great for all skin types, it isn’t to harsh on the skin and leaves skin with a nice natural healthy glow. It has a consistency similar to a gommage peel, the only difference is once you apply water to your face the contents dissolve into the skin making it easier to remove the product. I have used gommage peels in the past and honestly wasn’t really a fan. I felt like they were a bit messy and constantly got stuck to my peach fuzz and even at times my baby hair. This peeling exfoliant does not have that problem and actually provides physical results even after the first use. I was fairly surprised the first time I used this product because of the glow my skin had afterwards. My skin looked bright, radiant, healthy, and had a nice shine to it. This peeling exfoliant is gentle enough for everyday use and from my experience caused absolutely no irritation what so ever. It smells very nice and contains some pretty fantastic ingredients. The packaging at times can be a little faulty. Don’t get me wrong I love the pump aspect but sometimes it gets jammed and I end up having to unscrew the top to get the product out because the pump isn’t working properly. All in all that isn’t a deal breaker for me so I continue to buy this product but just be aware that the pump can be difficult at times. Considering all the great ingredients in this exfoliant and the results provided the price seems insane to me. This peeling exfoliant only costs 10$ on elf’s website. I know I’m not the only beauty lover and skincare enthusiast that loves a good bargain on some good quality skincare. So in my opinion the price is definitely worth a mention. Moving on some of the key ingredients that stood out for me was tangerine, papaya extract, and licorice root. Tangerine contains high levels of vitamin A and is great for those who have acne, pimples, and other minor skin issues. Tangerine works great as a peel and can help speed up the healing process for minor wounds and scrapes. Papaya extract has skin lightening properties that help clear blemishes and dark spots. The enzyme papain, along with with the alpha-hydroxy acids, acts as a powerful exfoliator and dissolves inactive proteins and dead skin cells. Working as a great exfoliant to help improve skin’s complexion and provide a softer base. Licorice root is known for helping to soothe and calm irritated skin. Licorice root is very beneficial in helping those with atopic dermatitis and other skin conditions that involve redness and irritation. Elf cosmetics gentle peeling exfoliant has ingredients that exfoliate skin but also balance skin in the process. Helping to prevent the skin from looking inflamed and irritated. I wouldn’t necessarily say I have super sensitive skin but I do often get irritation from using exfoliating skincare products especially depending on the strength and ingredients in each product. So it’s great to know that their is a product I can rely on to help exfoliate my skin but isn’t to overwhelming in strength. If you are looking for a gentle peeling exfoliant and have sensitive/reactive skin than I highly recommend trying this product out. It might work really well for you.mary.f

you're just using too much. It works best a tiny bit at a time. I use it regularly but also to remove the dead skin around a healing blemish that I played with too much. Anyone who says this doesn't work, or that it's just the product balling up is just plain wrong. It's the only type of exfoliant I've ever used that actually visibly removes dead skin. I've tried many different brands of peeling gel but this is my favorite. I do hate the bottle though, about halfway through you're gonna need a tiny spatula. Thank me later.Sweetrin

I love this product for a chemical exfoliant. It's a unique product in that when you rub it on to dry skin, you can actually feel the dead skin pilling up on your face. It's kind of gross at first but also cool to know that it's definitely working at getting the dead skin removed. This gentle peeling exfoliate is just that, gentle. I have sensitive skin that tends to get irritated sometimes when I exfoliate with other products, but this one does a really good job without irritation. My only caveat to this product is that the pump broke on it, so I have to remove the lid and get the product out that way, but I can overlook that for the amazing product.alyssa.s

I like this scrub a lot! A great seasonal addition to my body care. It smells great and makes my skin so smooth. Best results are if you use consistently but of course don’t use everyday. Normally I love Tree Hut and I love pumpkin spice anything. The company's new Velvet Coffee scrub smells wonderful, but this Pumpkin Spice Latte scrub smells nothing like either pumpkin, spice, or latte. Our store had a big display and the tester only smelled like sugar and weird chemicals. Another one was exactly the same, so I didn't buy it. Maybe my store got a bad batch, but there is no way I'd bathe or shower with this stuff. Please test it in person before you buy, if you can.Sue

I love the way Tree Hut scrubs feel on my skin, and I use them regularly in my shower routine. I bought this scrub because I love fall scents, but it absolutely does not smell like pumpkin spice. I don't even mean that it smells too much like cinnamon or cloves or whatever. I mean that it smells very strongly of something entirely different. I used this scrub along with Tend Skin after my Brazilians and OMG, truly a game/life changer. This scrub is amazing for above the lady bits. A little goes a LONG way. I literally just tap my finger into the scrub (it's kinda like a gel) and the little bit I pick up on my finger can cover my whole upper bikini area and even my happy trail lol. The consistency of this is strange, but I love the fact I only need a dime size amount for what I use it for. This small container should last me for months! I don't really know how I feel about this one! I've been using it now for awhile after getting it on sale at ULTA. The description/instructions basically say it's for like pre hair removal or pre wax. It says to use it at least 24 -48 hours BEFORE hair removal. I've experimented with it. I've used it just as the instructions say, I've used it immediately before. The thing is..well there's a few things 1. The scent is terrible..in fact there's no scent at all. It's just a weird soapy but chemical scent, so it's not your normal tree hut smell good scrub. Not at all. 2. There really isn't much exfoliation in it. When I use it I don't feel like it's necessarily doing much for me. I was really looking for an exfoliating scrub like as mentioned Tree hut or the Dove body scrubs, but I thought I would try this as it was called "no bumps" but I think this is more for just one specific thing and that's using it if you are going to be waxed. Unfortunately I can't confirm or deny what it does if you are using it in that exact way and how the instructions advise because I'm not getting waxed so I haven't ever tested it, but I think maybe the beads in this and the formula might be made for that sort of thing specifically. Axe body wash has always been one of my favorite body washes. From their exciting commercials to the variety of scents and gimmicks they use to sell their soap, I am a hot customer. Axe snake peel first debuted a few years back and I was hooked on it immediately. The insane color of this soap is the first thing you will notice, a sickening yellow color with what appears to be some metallic swirls. This coupled with the blue exfoliating beads makes for an intense color combination. The scent is a delicious combination of different citrus flavors with some additional kick and is a must smell for those who are satisfactorily inclined. The combination of the scent and the supreme cleaning power of the Axe brand makes the snakepeel version of their body wash one of my favorite soaps of all time. I don't usually buy body scrubs. Axe Snake Peel Body Wash looked like a new, different shower experience, so I bought it and wasn't disappointed. It lasted a long time, basically because it took me awhile to get used to the texture and strong smell, and I had the feeling that it did not wash off very easily. It seemed to leave a slight residue. Not sure if that was actually the case, but as body scrubs go, I would try it again. Effectiveness I am usually concerned mostly with how a product like Axe Snake Peel Shower Gel feels on my skin and makes me feel after showering, as opposed to clinical proof that it cleans better than other products. I didn't feel that it could have been any better or worse than other body scrubs. It was a different experience. So I would try it again. This is my favorite men's body wash that I like to use. It exfoliates really well and smells good. It has multi sized exfoliating beads. Leave skin fresh and smooth, does not dry the skin. I originally bought it for my husband years ago, then ended up using it myself and got hooked on it. It is hard to find now, which is sad. I have been using this for around 4 months now. I'm on my third bottle. I use it with the body balancing spray. My backne is pretty much gone. It actually works. I have combination skin. T-zone always oil with black/white heads. I tried strong peeling facial products before. They are very effective but pricy (US$100 a bottle). They also make your skin red and feel burned. This one is not strong and price is ok. I see the result after the 5th times used. Tips: Follow the instructions on the package, only apply one sections & massage at a time, not the entire face. Remember to put the sun screen if going out during the daytime after the application. One of the best peels I've used. You're supposed to use this on damp, steamed skin, so I use this when I shower or take a bath. They come in little packets, so you tear open and put a small amount of the contents onto you fingers to apply to a section of your face. The product is very runny, so use caution if it's your first time. I then gentle rub my fingers back and forth or in small circular motions on the area until the peel begins to clump. Once I'm done with that section, I move onto the next until I covered all the areas I wanted to. There is no discernible scent that I pick up, and I notice no burning on my skin. Because this is a peel that is meant as a strong skin exfoliant, there might be sensitivity for some. I haven't personally experienced any, but I am not someone with extremely sensitive skin. After I am done, I rinse my face and follow with my usual skincare routine. This peel is very effective, and does a great job of clearing off the dead skin cells, leaving my complexion smoother, softer, and more ready to absorb the skincare products I use. This is a really great addition to your every day body care. I think this has a lot of scent to it, so if you rather use it as your base smell, I recommend using lightly scented or non scented items with it. Overall, this will be perfect for those with less soft skin. It is very soft and not too oily on the skin. It’s best used after you soap up and rinse off I think. I absolutely LOVE this body scrub, everything about it! First of all, it smells amazing, secondly, it’s not a body scrub that is just sitting in oil, or that you have to dig out of a bag. I tend to stay away from body scrubs such as described because they are soooo messy, and I end up wasting so much product because it drops. This, it’s thick, creamy, like a heavy balm and you don’t need a lot. I’m really sad because it seems like they don’t carry this one anymore 😭. I have never written a review about any product before but I just HAD to write one for this. I have had kp bad on my arms and legs for as long as I can remember. I didn’t even know what it was til I started to realize that other people had smooth skin. I felt so insecure about people touching my skin and always thinking I was cold from goose bumps lol. About a month ago, I bought this scrub, the matching lotion and the matching soothing pad wipes. I was skeptical but also desperately looking for a product that could relieve my constant very dry, non-shedding skin. I have never been one of those girls to shave their legs and after have legs that feel silky smooth. I always have rough patches, areas that constantly have ingrown hairs, specifically where my legs touch when I cross my legs (above my left knee and on the outside of my right calf), and my thighs all around, especially the bikini area. No matter what exfoliate I have used, moisturizers, oils, nothing has been able to losen the top layer of skin enough for healthy shedding. Until I found this line!!! I’ve been using it for about a month, the scrub every other day, the lotion daily, and the wipes as needed if I get a rash. Results are that my legs are finally feeling so much smoother after shaves, if I get razor burn, it goes away really quickly thanks to the wipes. The constant itchiness that I always have when my hair grows back is gone. My legs looks healthier and not so inflamed and blotchy. I still get ingrown hairs but their are very superficial and come out easily/clear up quickly. Before, the ingrown hairs would be really deep and stubborn. I will definitely continue to purchase, definitely worth it. My only wish is for them to add add a leg mask/peeling solution to the line.jmckinney84

I’ve had moderate kp on my upper arms since I was about 10 years old (so 24 years now.) At this point I really don’t expect any product to be able to fully cure it, so my expectations are relatively low in that regard. That being said, I’ve now repurchased this a few times and plan on continuing to use it until I find something better. Like most kp scrubs, it doesn’t do much in the way of diminishing the redness or pigmentation of the dots, but it does a great job smoothing out the bumps and removing that layer of dead skin. I usually put it on in the shower, let it sit for a minute or two, and then scrub each side for about 30-60 seconds. Immediately after rinsing you can feel a difference— super smooth arms. It’s not the cheapest, and although it is easy to get carried away and use a ton of product I’ve found that a little really does go a long way if you’re deliberate about usage. (For reference: I have light to light-medium olive skin that sometimes burns initially but mostly just tans super easily. I tend towards having dry skin on my body, and don’t have sensitive skin overall.)jillian .s

The first few time I’ve used this scrub I was not impressed. The granules felt very tiny, barely there, so it did not seem like it had any exfoliating quality to it. However, after continued use I really do see amazing results, and started feeling the granules doing their job. Quite well, I might add. Unlike many other scrubs that I’ve tried in the past, this one foams a little bit. It has a faint fragrance. I can’t really describe the scent, but it smells like ‘cleanliness’. I was given this as part of a body pampering set (tonic one) i brought for myself during the end of my second trimester, needing something which helps sagging skin. All my life i have been using body scrubs, polishes etc from other cheaper brands- but found that they usually dried the skin out, contained more oil or cream than beads/grit, contained larger than life beads for refining the skin on the body and i just used them simply because i had bought them out of good faith. So what i would do is use a facial scrub/exfoliator on my body- which was very very costly. The reason for this was because the gritty particles are actually gritty well some brands anyways. BUT THIS!!! my goodness i applied perhaps far too much (so you only need a little and maybe apply before dampening the skin) however the joy i experienced when i felt the microbeads which were actually micro giving a thorough exfoliating feel. I was highly impressed. I was able to try this as part of a .15oz sample collection. I went on to try the extreme before I tried the original. This drew my attention due to this was made by master perfumer Alberto Morillas. He made another exquisite scent in the woody aromatic category. From the descriptions that I’ve seen describing the scents there’s something I’ve never heard or seen before and that would be cactus juice. I may not have a keen nose to detect every note involved in this cologne but this a manly and very masculine scent. I can say this is a cologne that can knockout a top ten in my rotation. This can be used for a date night or around the office. Sadly this is now discontinued. If you can get your hands on this, try it. I tend to have dry skin, especially in the winter, but having used this product in the shower 2x a week for a few months now, my skin has not been dry the least bit. I noticed that now my skin doesn't need nearly as much lotion after showering as I used to use, and no longer experience any ingrown hairs or itchy skin patches on my legs. The price point is extremely affordable, and this product can be found pretty much at any store. I purchased the Dove Exfoliating Body Polish: Crushed Macadamia & Rice Milk out of pure curiosity. After reviewing the products claims and benefits, I decided to try this product. I have dry skin and exfoliating helps my skin remain soft and less likely to dry out. I have used this product for exactly one month and the results are phenomenal! My skin is smooth, soft, and moisturized. The dry spots I usually have on my lower legs are gone and the dark areas on my elbows are fading. The razor bumps and ingrown hairs I usually experience after shaving (armpits and legs) is minimal, if any. Plus, the scent is very light and inviting. Dove nailed this body polish formulation.
