20 Best Dead Skin Remover For Feet (Jan 2023 Update)

I like this product. It does a good job of helping remove dry skin. A nice summer goto to help feet stay sandal ready. My only concern is the warning on this. ⚠️ P65 warning. I don't believe I have seen this before need to learn more. Edit. From what I have read a law passed in California to warn residents of cancer /or birth defects by chemicals. These warnings are put out on products that could have very little chemicals of very low risk or opposite …high amounts of high risk. I recommend you DO NOT use while pregnant maybe wear gloves when applying this product.ann.h

First off, this is a very small bottle which felt empty upon receipt. The bottle is hard to squeeze when trying to get the contents out. The lotion itself is really thin. Felt like I was rubbing water on my feet and then scrubbing to get it off. I didn’t find it did much for my feet.MsMel

As the youngest of 4 women in my house I don't think this was ever missing from it's spot in the bathroom. Winter just sucks the moisture out of the skin on my feet and a pumice stone is just a little too agressive for me. This lotion comes out of the bottle almost as thin as water so be careful with that first squeeze. You really only need a little bit to rub on your foot. You may want a bit more as the dead skin melts from your feet. It's just so amazing to see and feel soft feet in the middle of winter! I will be using Pretty Hands and Feet until I can no !onger reach my feet. I'm sure you will be bappy finally finding something that actually works just as promised.renotx

Prepare thyself! This mask will have your feet peeling like a lizard is July. It’s amazing! TBH, my feet are nasty; and I haven’t been able to chill their Gollum vibes. However, this peel did wonders! I’ve only used it once so far, but my feet mummified in about 3 days, then sloughed off to reveal beautiful soft skin underneath. I think a second use would make them super soft. The peel broke down the rough, thick skin, but could only do so well on the really rough spots. I got this product from Amazon. I paid a good chunk of money. I was super skeptical at first to be honest. My husband has some serious cracked and flakey feet and I was willing to try anything to help. I bought the 4 pack because I wanted one for myself. After using the first treatment on my husbands feet it was pretty nasty (pic included) it too about 3 days for peeling to start on him. After a week they was really peeling. The peeling is over after about 2 weeks. I will say for my feet I only needed one treatment for baby soft feet! My husband required 3 to catch up with my feet. I believe in this product and his feet are heeled! Definitely recommend to everyone!josie.m

I do not understand how this product received such high reviews. I own a battery operated one and thought I would switch to a cordless filer for convenience. This was expensive and not worth the money. The filer automatically shuts off at the slightest amount of pressure…which means it is constantly shutting off and incapable of filing. You're not allowed to press down AT ALL before the machine stops filing. I guess it's some sort of safety measure, but it makes this awful product ( can't even call it a filer) incapable of doing its job. I highly regret this purchase. I am disappointed that reviews cannot be trusted nowadays due to marketing scams, which this felt like. Save your money and do it manually with other products or get the battery operated one which works %100 better. Waste of money!melinda

I am always barefoot in my house because we have a carpet. I can admit I am not the type of person to exfoliate my feet every week because I rarely leave my house. I came across this electric pedicure that is waterproof. I read all the reviews and did some more research.I figured I would give it a try. It came out to $25 because target had a sale plus I had an extra 10% off because of my red card anniversary and an extra 5% off if I used my red card. Talk about a steal so I went for it. I am a man who gets serious heal callouses and all the little battery operated callous removers are wimpy and nearly useless. This one really works and that's what I wanted. The “socks” containing the active ingredients are very easy to use and fits a male foot perfectly. I left on for 90 minutes, and as recommended, I actually also took a 15 minutes foot bath the three following days. The peeling started after three days; very effective! I was dubious about this file when I purchased it, but thought "what the heck" and bought it anyway. The glass file surface is incredibly sharp but at a very fine level; I haven't had a file before that sanded my calluses down as well as this did, and some of those microplane graters with other pedicure tools can shave too deep and cause cuts if you work them too hard. This is definitely a file and not a grater, but it works much better than sandpaper pads.Mike C.

But the next day I took my socks off after a sweaty game of tennis and couldn't believe the peeling. Gross as can be, but really exactly what you want from a product like this. I've done several of these types of peels in the past so I can speak from experience that you really do need to have a period of moisture for them to really peel. Expect it to take about a week from start to finish and because the skin peels differently depending on the area of your foot, you have to put some work in to get your feet looking back to normal. I used a glycolic acid lotion to hasten the peeling of the drier, flakier areas and a file for the more calloused areas. Mine feet feel really soft right now and I think that I will purchase this brand from now on over the more gentle one I've purchased from Ulta in the past. Do not use moisturizer at all until all the shedding is complete. The first two days it won’t seem like anything is happening, but every night make sure to soak your feet until they’re prune-y and then give them a gentle massage to activate the mask. Once the shedding starts it’s total disgusting madness. You won’t feel anything, so make sure to wear socks to bed to contain the shedding. It did take until day 8 for it to begin doing anything, which was minimal in appearance, but ultimately, I could see it working on days 10-14. Big picture: I love this thing. It really does seem to speedily sheer through dry skin, and leave the healthy skin shiny without piercing it (causing bleeding, etc.). Additionally, this item cleans like a dream. The problem with the pumice stones I'm used to encountering is that they're slow to work, can easily hurt you if you aren't paying attention, wear out, and don't clean easily. This thing seems to be holding up perfectly though. I gave 4 stars mostly because of the thing's shape (which may be necessary, considering it's glass). I wish it were rounded, because the flat design makes it difficult to reach certain angles, and sees you cleaning the item more routinely than I'm used to. Again, however, this is an amazing choice at a great price. I won't be going back to pumice stones; that much I'm sure of. Give it a try!Shane W.

I love this Spa Sciences Nano Glass Foot File! It's the best foot file I've ever had. I've gone through several metal foot files in the last few years. They're usually small and the base made of cheap plastic that breaks after using for awhile. Not gonna happen with this one. It's solid, extra large and heavy. I was very surprised by the size and weight but I'm pretty sure this one isn't going to break any time soon. I've been using a glass nail file for the past year and I love it so when I saw that this was a glass file, I had to try it. The glass file works efficiently and you can cover more skin at one time because it's large. It comes in a nice box suitable for gifting and it would make a great addition to a personal care or spa day gift basket. This foot file works very well on dry or wet feet, and it's super sturdy and well made, but be careful! Firstly, it removes the calloused skin faster than expected, and if you remove to much skin your feet become very raw and tender. Secondly, it is majorly sharp! Be careful around tops of feet and fingers! I had one little slip accident the first time I used it, and accidentally gouged a chunk out of my knuckle. The first time I used this product, I used it with a gel callus remover. I won't even say how much dead skin I was able to remove. I hate wearing shoes, live on a lake, and my summertime foot wear consists of sandals or barefeet. I'm in my early 60s so these feet have seen a lot of miles. I really wish I had a before and after picture but didn’t really think about it. My heels and gotten so bad from going to get pedicures and then stopping because of Covid. I pretty much just started doing my own nails even though I could go back. It got to the point I thought I might have to go get a pedicure just to make it better. I’ve purchased this before and just love how well it works. It’s really easy to use – just pop the boots on and leave for 90 minutes. Then take off and wait. It takes about a week for my feet to begin peeling – it’s a bit grim when they’re peeling but you end up with very smooth feet afterwards. I do continue to have baths/showers and get product on my feet after using the boots, which the instructions advise against, but it doesn’t seem to affect how they work for me. Very pleased!Joanna

I bought this and used it exactly as instructed on the packet and it didn't do any of the things that it advertised. It did not peel any skin at all over the course of the 7 days. I thought that it may not work on calluses despite the name of the item but it didn't peel any single bit of skin at all. Superdrug customer service just say to contact the brand about it not working, so there's no redress for me spending £7.95 on something that didn't do any of the things it said it would, and personally I think it's a really bad look for such a big company to not deal with complaints about products it chooses to sell just because they're not their own brand. I bought something similar about 4 years ago and it didn't do a thing. Thought I'd give these a go but I changed a couple of things, after reading up. So, day 3 and I have a gross but satisfying peeling thing going on and I'm loving it, can't wait until it's done! It says up to 10 days before peeling. My skin underneath is so soft! Two things that I have done differently this time; 1- I gave my feet a hot 10 minute soak beforehand.. which is always nice anyway! 2- The instructions say not to use product and to only use water when washing , for the first seven days. I'm pretty sure that I didn't know about this rule last time and definitely went against it. Maybe that's why it didn't work with the last product! Does exactly what you’d expect it to. Removes all hard skin and leaves your skin feeling brand new like a baby. I used this for my feet and have super soft and smooth feet now as if the hard skin never developed in the first place. AND I even managed to get rid of the hard skin on my hands from gym training which I was very surprised with as didn’t think this would fit with my hands; super soft and smooth hands now too! About once a year I have a problem with rubbing toes and the subsequent corn issue. If I keep the pads (two, sticky sides back to back) between toes in the area where this occurs, it takes care of the problem. If I am lazy and do not use them, I will have a reissue. I would be careful with the liquid which works for me with two applications usually. The liquid can burn areas where the skin is normal. Read the warnings. I do not know of another product which works like Dr. Scholl's.Quebein

Yes, this liquid does work but be very careful applying it. If you get it on skin that isn't calloused or a corn, or if the skin is cut, it does hurt because it eats away at the skin to remove it. Dissolves it, is the better way to say it I guess. I had a cut on a callous and it got in there and really hurt for days, I've kept bandaids on it else it hurt to walk on it. So be very careful where you apply it. And the pads, or the moleskin they also sell, seriously sticks. You can't take it right back off like a bandaid; it's there for at least a day or two.laura

Word of caution, the rotating file can be hazardous, avoid getting it near your more sensitive skin like the upper foot area or your hands as it can scrape it even for a short duration of contact. I had lost a bit of control of the device for a few seconds and it grazed my upper foot. It was red for a few days and stung a bit. Other than that minor mishap this a great device to have!Tosh
