It really brings out the natural curl in my hair. I prefer using clarifying shampoo and then leaving this on for 15 minutes. My hair feels noticeably soft and healthy. I never knew how curly my hair naturally was until I started using this. I would say I would have identified my hair as 2A before using this mask and a 2C after. I basically look like Taylor Swift on her debut album now. I do think it is expensive but for what it does I am happy with the price for it. I find that I do not use much at all each time I use it so it lasts a long time. I have experienced hair loss with it but nothing that would worry me. I would say normally I would lose 5-10 hairs in the shower but now it is more like 10-15. This conditioner left my hair silky and soft. It claims to detangle the hair and that’s true. Other than that I didn’t notice anything special about this. I think it does the job for softening and detangling and that’s about it. The other claims I don’t know about. It’s also overpriced for something that’s not special. I can get something cheaper that does the same thing. The reason why it only has 3 stars is because of the smell. It doesn’t smell that good. It reminds me of a more masculine scent. I smell musk or a woody note. I know many people like that and for me, it’s OK. I rather have a more feminine scent for my hair products. After just one use, this product has become a staple in my weekly wash routine. I used it as a deep conditioner, leaving it in for 3.5 hours under a plastic cap following my protein treatment. This deep conditioner is amazing. It provides hydration, makes the hair feel healthier and smoother, clumps curls, gets rid of frizz, and makes hair feel stronger. I’ve used it twice so far and it will be my new go-to protein treatment. This mask does contain protein and is very strengthening so beware if you’re protein sensitive or just use less often. Also this mask is more hydrating than moisturizing. So think plumping and juicy not buttery and emollient. This mask does exactly what it says it’s going to do on the container. Wow!!! All I can say is wow!!💫😭. It smells lemony❤️ I put this product on a medium to small sized section on my hair to test it out, my hair immediately became soft. Though I used it on a small section, I know my hair will love it on wash day. It is worth the price. After washing it out, it was soft, plump, and hydrated. A lot of deep conditioners are moisturizing when you put it on but when you wash it afterwards, it doesn't feel moisturizing and soft. This plumping deep conditioner did not feel that way!!!! I was looking for some reviews for this but couldn’t find any that were satisfactory enough for me. So here is mine… The scent is strong of citrus. Almost like lemon and I think that’s because it has lemongrass in it. I like to leave reviews after multiple uses but I know this will help someone. This left my hair moisturized. I washed it and slightly towel dried it then applied this thoroughly from roots to end. It’s thick but not as dense as the elongating twisting cream. I then used the multi use oil to seal it then put it up and placed a plastic cap over it for 30 minutes. When I took the cap off it was very soft and moisturized. I rinsed it thoroughly and felt it after and it felt moisturized. I’m repeating that word because that is what the product did for me. Some softness but it really didn’t impart softness like that albeit I did have some softness but nothing extra ordinarily noticeable or feel-able. If you have dry hair I believe this will work well for you. It rinsed well in the shower as well. I used the leave in after rinsing this out well and plated my hair down in sections. That’s the best way it retains moisture imo if it’s either plated or braided down. After I’ve used this 3+ times I’ll leave another review. Hope this helps someone…. The DevaCurl website claims that Heaven in Hair is one of the products that was just repackaged, not reformulated, during the 2021 rebrand. That cannot be true, though I can't fathom why they lied since they changed every nearly other product. There is definitely new fragrance – it smells like matrix hairspray from the 80s now, and it used to just smell clean and fresh. When I first pumped it out of the container, my nose and eyes were stinging, it's that bad. The smell doesn't dissipate either – it stayed in my strands until the next day and also did not go away when I decided to crack off the lid of the container to let it air out for a while. (The new packaging SUCKS btw. Once the lid is off, the pump doesn't work.) There is definitely more "slip" to this product than before. They must have upped the castor oil content. I used to use this primarily as a styling product, and it worked well when used sparingly and hit with some heat via diffuser. Now, I don't know what to do with it. Heat makes it stink even more and causes frizz. Tried it as conditioner, but it still stinks even after rinsing and frankly doesn't condition that well. It just kinda sits on the hair surface (that much hasn't changed). I have 3C curls, long hair, and sensitive skin. I was hopeful about this because it is one of the few products they didn't add coconut to in the rebrand. This and olaplex literally saved my hair. I got married two weeks ago and my hair was wrecked. The stylist who colored it slightly over bleached it the week before – no big deal, just made it a little drier. THEN we went swimming at the Rehearsal dinner, and my dad didn’t mention he had shocked to pool. The next day my hair was straw. I have my staple haircare now, it took me YEARS to find the right brand and way of doing it. This is not one I will be adding to my routine. Glad I got the travel sized one! This is a really decent option for those that want a silicone-free, medium to slightly heavier moisture, and plan to use it frequently. When I did use it, I found that for my hair it reacted more like my conditioner than a hair mask. Now this is MY personal experience! Some probably find this to be a really heavy moisturizing product. My hair did not seem to agree. It was frizzier than it is when I use certain other hair masks. I can’t personally recommend this product simply because I didn’t love it the first time, and won’t use it again. I need a haircut right now, so my 3b curls are looser than usual. Usually, I have a fairly tight spiral curl throughout, but my hair is overall fine. I need something to hold my curls together without frizz to keep the curls intact. I keep my hair long, but I need the dead ends trimmed. I don't regularly use a hair masking product, but I got this in an Allure box for this February. After one use, my hair was shiny, and my curls were tighter than they've been in months. It felt like I had a trim at the salon. My hair was very soft and bouncy, even with my usual styling products. My curls still held well despite how soft this product made my hair. I’ve always wanted to try this brand since I have heard a lot about it from friends and coworkers, but since my hair is naturally curly, I am very particular about the brands/products I use in my hair. I can confidentially say Pureology might just be one of my go to brands now. I love that this brand uses no sulfates, parabens, formaldehyde or mineral oils to name a few. The smell is divine, which is mainly of the Camelina Oil, the Olive oil gives my hair such a shine, and the coconut oil leaves my hair feeling soft and frizz free and so much more healthier looking than before. After each use, my hair has maintained a soft, detangled texture for several days. It was quite easy to dry and style. With other color-fanatic product my hair has a beautiful and healthy shine. Pantene Miracle Rescue is a replacement for the Pantene 3 Minute Miracle, which was an excellent conditioner that sold for only four bucks. Sadly it was discontinued and replaced with this conditioner. Miracle Rescue is not quite as good as the 3 Minute Miracle, but it still works well. It starts to work as soon as you put it on and washes out well. The scent is fine, but not a favorite of mine. The big problem with it is that it gets heavy on your hair past the day mark, and can eventually make your hair feel a bit waxy. It also costs over twice the price of the 3 Minute Miracle. I tried this product and received a full rebate in exchange for my honest opinion. I tried the Pantene Miracle Rescue last week thanks to Shopper Army. With the temperatures soaring, the heat really had taken a toll on my hair, so the Pantene deep conditioning treatment was a welcome change to my hair care routine. I used it three times in the last week as I loved the result the first time. I used my regular shampoo for my hair and then applied the conditioning treatment to the tips of my hair and towards the roots as directed. I gently massaged product into my hair and left it on for 2 mins and then rinsed it off with lukewarm water. I have long hair below shoulder length and it's colored as well so this product worked well even with my long hair. I usually like to use a little shampoo to wash my hair again so the product doesn't turn my hair greasy but this step was not required as the Pantene Miracle Rescue is so lightweight and leaves hair feeling silky, easy to comb and dry. I love this about the product so I thought let me try it two more times before actually giving a review worked even better the next time and left my hair looking shiny and hydrated so I am happy to recommend this product to anyone who has dry, frizzy hair which needs some care and treatment.Antonia1977

Not only do I have colour treated hair, I have to wash my hair every day for my profession and naturally really curly! I used a good amount for my first try and worked it threw my hair down to the ends. I could tell by the texture and the feel of my hair under the water after 3 plus minutes, that it already felt silky smooth, hydrated and not "scratchy, brittle etc". I've tried some deep conditioning treatments and they feel great until everything rinses right out of your hair! Not, Pantene Pro V Miracle Rescue Deep Conditioning Treatment! It maintained its "just quenched look" with no weigh down when it dried. If I were to compare this to a skin product it would be more like a mask to ultimately hydrate. I can't believe I found this here!!! You have no clue how long I've been looking for this. I've recently gone natural, meaning that I stopped relaxing my hair and let my relaxer grow out. So I'm rediscovering my hair and it's texture. My parents are mixed. My dad was Black and Powhatan and my mom is Black, Cherokee and German so I've always had a very odd texture. My hair is silky and wavy in the center but the edges and tips are like corkscrew curls. My strange texture made it hard for me to manage and by the time I was a teen and started doing my own hair I was just like, I'm not doing this and slapped a relaxer in my hair. Huge regret! Now that I'm natural I'm very, very excited. I grew up using Mane N Tail because it made my hair manageable. But after a while my mom couldn't find it in the stores anymore. I've not been able to find it in any of my local stores even now. I can't believe I found this and the shampoo here at this price, it is expensive everywhere else (Amazon, Walgreens, etc). They are in my cart for purchase today. I can't wait to wash my hair with this! I love it. Also, if you buy this, use a little Dax Tar grease in your hair. The tar grease has a strong smell but I swear your hair will grow like crazy. I don’t care what kind of conditioner it is: rinse out conditioner, leave in conditioner, or deep conditioner… If it does not have slip, if it doesn’t make detangling easy, and if it doesn’t reduce breakage I don’t want to use it ever again. This is a 27.05 fluid ounce bottle, and I have used 2/3 of the bottle already. This product does help nourish the hair for a while, but I do not believe that it strengthens the hair. The reason why I say that is because I have more breakage with this deep conditioner than I have with most regular rinse out conditioners. Also, this is not a deep conditioner that you can leave-in your hair; it leaves a white cast on your hair if you let it dry into your hair. I don’t have a problem with that… Just saying. The instructions do advise to use after the deep moisturizing shampoo… Which I have not done. Maybe I’ll purchase that shampoo, and see if that makes any difference regarding the strengthening factor of this product. Right now, I’m not all that excited about this product; therefore, unless it reacts differently combined with the deep moisturizing shampoo, I will not be re-purchasing it again. I tried this product in two ways. I tried it as it was recommended, which was to use heat for deeper penetration and the other was leaving the deep conditioner on for 30-40 minutes. I feel like doing it these ways got me the samw result which is great for people who dont like using heat at all. Using this helped me detangle my hair because it gave enough slip from how moisturizing it is. Also, my half of my hair has been bleached twice and the color immediately after. That side of my hair had been limp for so long until i started using this for weeks. I want to add emphasis on weeks because its not a fast process and it took multiple uses to start seeing my curl pattern get stronger. My only complaint is that spreading it can be a little bit hard and you might have to use alot to fully saturate the hair if you long hair. This is also not buttery enough for curlier hair, like 3c to 4c hair. (in the picture i did finger coil my hair but everything i said still is relevant. In all my years I have never found a Deep conditioner that actually deep conditions. BUT THIS RIGHT HERE HONEST TO GOD, on all that I love has been absolutely and GEM find. I picked it up by chance at Target and was blown away. But of course my luck they were no longer selling in stores. I found only one other store the sells this and I pray they never stop selling. I love using this product it smells and feels amazing from the moment you start applying it to your hair. My once Frizzy and damaged hair started to look and feel perfect and I haven’t stopped using it since. Oh wow. I see now why this is always sold out on Ipsy points lol! I’ve had this for a while but used it once and forgot about it. I’ve been on a strict finishing my products and it’s now this guys turn… I shampoo, condition my hair, apply this on my damp hair and put a hair towel on to let the product sink in. After a few minutes I use a hair dryer and then I use a Soleil round blow drying brush. I SWEAR I feel like I went to the salon and it’s all because of this product!!!!!!! I received this from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. So I received this along with the AgeBeautiful shampoo and conditioner and although this was definitely heavier and more moisturizing than the conditioner, I'm still not really sure about it as a treatment. First I want to say that my hair is not damaged so I can't attest to that, but I have had blonde, damaged hair before and I don't think that it would be enough for it. This just seems like a really heavy conditioner not a treatment. It also weighed my hair down a lot. I usually wash every 4 or 5 days and I had to wash again after two using this, but again that might be different for somebody with really dry, overprocessed hair. But being that I have been on both sides of the hair scale, I would say that sure this is a great conditioner, but not so much a treatment. I also don't care for the scent much at all. I will probably use it until it's gone, but would not repurchase.Sarah

I've been using Moroccan Oil hair products for many years. Because my go-to "smoothing" conditioner was out of stock, I decided to try the "repair" conditioner. It's absolutely terrible. When rinsing my hair in the shower, it isn't silky and smooth; it feels like I didn't use conditioner at all. When combing through towel-dried hair, I have to use twice as much of my leave-in conditioner spray just to get a comb through it. This was a very expensive purchase with terrible results. I sent an email to Moroccan Oil within 30 days of purchase, in accordance with their return policy. I never received a response. Now I'm stuck with a $65 bottle of useless conditioner.Jennifer G.

I purchased this along with the Moroccanoil Moisuture & Shine shampoo. I will say that this conditioner is much better than the shampoo, however I still wasn’t overly impressed – especially for the price. If you have thick hair like myself and go through a large amount of conditioner, this bottle is not going to last you long. The first time I used this conditioner, my hair was extremely greasy, although it wasn’t greasy the second time I tried it – I am not sure why. I didn’t find that my hair felt any better than it does after using a drugstore conditioner and I can’t bring myself to purchase this 1-2 times per month for the same results as a $10 conditioner. One benefit of this conditioner is that it does smell pretty nice, though I still I returned it.Teighan

I love John freida and have many of their products in my bathroom, for anyone who hasn’t tried this brand I recommend you do, it’s a great brand for controlling frizz. I have thick hair and like to use this mask one a week for hydration. It contains avocado oil to feed and nourish my hair and leaves my hair really shiny and soft. It’s a great price and lasts for ages. It’s so simple to use, I keep it in the shower and after shampooing and rinsing I apply this to my hair and concentrate on the ends then leave for five minutes. It makes my hair really easy to style and free of frizz, my hair is sleek and smooth and hydrated when iv used this. It smells great and has a creamy consistency though when it’s all rinsed out it never weights my hair down, my hair is bouncy and looks like it’s been professionally done. I can’t live without using this once a week to keep my hair in great condition and I will keep buying it

Have been using this shampoo for years but it seems to have been reformulated. The name of the shampoo ‘miraculous recovery’ is the same, but the bottle now has a golden swirl on it. I thought it was just packaging redesign but the product itself is very different. Smells totally different, and leaves hair flat and lifeless. I bought the large size as it’s the shampoo I usually use. Straight in the bin and won’t repurchase. Very annoyed as thought I was buying the usual product… really think there should be clear label to indicate new fragrance and new formulation.MrsB

It says reconstructing but I didn’t notice less split ends in my hair or less frizz after using the whole bottle. Did it prevent more breakage, probably but not completely. Please look into to the quality of your travel sized packaging. I know things are always a chance with travel but I was so excited to get this travel sized treatment for my work trip and no joke it completely ruined ALL of my cosmetics. Literally in tears so much money worth of products need to be replaced. In all honesty my fault for not putting it in a separate bag but I literally received this the day of my work trip so I tossed it straight from the package to my travel bag not giving it a second thought. Devastated to find when I arrived it had exploded all over my cosmetics in my bag. ALL of my toiletries got ruined. Like if this trip wasn't stressful enough, i work in wine sales, I was gut wrenched. The entire top seal of the bottle popped open and ruined all of my makeup. My advice is to put it in its own separate ziploc. The product itself I cannot stress enough is a game changer for hair and has been my miracle. But the warnings need to be seen and heard for the travel sized packaging, they're weak. Take your tubs ladies.. they're more secure 😢😢 will take my full sized tub everytime from now moving forward. This product works well as both a conditioner and as a hair mask, but it took me a few tries to figure it out. Here are some things I wish I was told. First off, for new customers, use this product for the first time when you don't have important events coming up. You need to experiment at least once and feel confident that you will get your desired result, or you will be disappointed. That said, there are instructions provided with the product, but only use the instructions as a guide. You re the only one who knows your hair, so trust your gut. I used the product as an overnight hair mask the first time (as recommended in the guide), and it did not go well for my hair, despite what some other customers experienced. My hair used to be very dry (due to heat damage & dyes), but this product put me at the other end of the spectrum and made my hair very greasy and oily. Took me a couple washes to get the product out, and then I tried again leaving the hair mask in for 30 min instead. Still made my hair too greasy. I repeated the process for 20 minutes, 10 minutes, & 8 minutes until I realized the last option worked for me, and it worked really well. I also experimented using the product as I would any other conditioner and only keeping it in for only a couple minutes in the shower. I had no problems with this route either. I will say though, that I achieved the absolute best result *for my hair* by using it as a hair mask for 8-10 minutes and following my shower with a separate leave-in conditioner (no particular brand). This route has given my hair shine (not grease) and softness that is visible to people around me (& even over Zoom!). However, one thing to note is that using the product (even on its own without the additional leave-in conditioner) has made me wash my hair more often. I used to wash my hair once a week, and now I wash it 2 times a week (may wash a third time in the week if I straighten/curl/style my hair) to keep it fresh, oil-free, & smelling great. But good news is that my hair had an instant transformation and has been getting better ever since I started using this product and is definitely feeling softer and more nourished. Would definitely recommend! 🙂
I was SO excited to try this masque after reading reviews and seeing before/after photos. My fine, straight hair was actually REALLY healthy (I rarely use heat styling, and I have worked up to being able to go 7 days between washes, so my hair has been great) until I had it balyaged about two months back and now I'm dealing with constant frizz and dryness from the bleaching process. I hoped this masque would help restore some moisture and at least cut down on the frizz – if not entirely eliminate it – but I have used this masque twice now and it has literally done absolutely nothing. I've tried sleeping in it AND using it after washing, just rinsing it out, but neither method has made any difference or improvement; if anything, it leaves a residue on my hair and has actually made it almost sticky once it's dry. It smells absolutely amazing, which is the only reason I've given it two stars, but to be as pricey as it is (I would have been better off to buy more Olaplex than spend $60 on two of these that are now nothing other than a conditioner I'll use for the smell), it has been disappointing to say the least. I would have been okay with minor improvements but absolutely nothing … I'm wondering how many of the reviews are edited or completely fake and written by Coco&Eve now – there is no possible way I am the only one who has had such a disappointing experience with this product.Amanda L.
