20 Best Deep Conditioner For Colored Hair (Jan 2023 Update)

I decided to give this product a try when it was on sale at Ulta. With my first use or two, I was impressed with how my hair looked. I could tell it toned down the brassiness and gave me a just left the salon look. But by the third or fourth use, my blonde hair my ends in particular were looking straight purplish grey. Despite only washing my hair a couple times a week, I figured maybe I was using it too much and should not be using it for every wash. So, I started alternating between this shampoo and a regular nourishing shampoo. However, it seems that doing this has given me such uneven tones throughout my hair some areas are brassy, some parts look platinum and some look grey a problem Ive never had before. This shampoo also stains my nails, cuticles, and scalp. Even though I had freshly washed hair, one day I had to put it up into a pony tail simply because when my hair was down you could see my part which was bright purple. It looked awful. Even rinsing my hair until the water runs clear still leaves me with purple in my scalp. Aside from the results of this shampoo, Im not a fan of how thin and runny the consistency is, because every time I dispense some, it seems to come with a fair amount of drippingwasted product which is a bummer, considering the price. Maybe a pump instead of a flip cap could prevent some of this Overall, whether I used this shampoo consistently or sparingly, the results were not good. All I have to say is, this conditioner is worth every penny (pricey) About my hair type, I have long, wavy, thick, course and frizz prone due to living in a hot and humid climate state, this is amazingly good on my hair. With this conditioner, it makes my hair so shiny, hydrated and smooth. I only use a little bit because it really does go on my hair due to how creamy this formulation is. I find that after washing it off all the way in the shower, I rinse my hair with very cold water until I don't feel any warmth from my hot shower. The cold water helps seal and smooth down the hair follicle. I then let hair air dry in a loose twisted bun with a large and soft velvet scruchie on top of my head. When it's completely dry, my hair falls with soft, bouncy, shiny and smooth waves that I don't need to style my hair with any hot tools. In comparison to naturally air drying my hair, I have used my flat iron and also curling iron, my hair looks like I had just gotten an amazing hair result from a hair salon. Highly recommend.maria.d

I bought this shampoo based on reviews. I have a foil done about 56 times a yr. I used this shampoo for the first time brightened my hair right away. Im a natural strawberry blonde had some issues with my last foil, I used this shampoo 4 times in one week which is alot. While this did brighten up my hair was a quick fix to what the stylist did to me my reg lady wasnt in I went to a diff stylist learned a few things. The new stylist fixed the issues that the inexperienced one messed up. First off I would like to tell you that what the last girl did to my hair was not knowing how to mix colors very well ended up with more red than blonde, I didnt want red but the Redken Blondage did help with that problem until I could get it done right. My new stylist explained to me about over using this type of shampoo because it can cause your hair to turn blue but Ive never had those issues. Purple is actually a color added to a shampoo to neutralize warm colors, warm colors being orange, yellow, red, purple shampoo turning your brassy warm tones into cooler tones more natural looking, the darker the purple, the better the shampoo. Purple shampoo does nothing for brunettes but if you have highlights its a must, also a must for silver hair to turn gray into a beautiful silver. If your hair is over processed or colored alot it can take on purple tones quickly. If you start to notice your blonde hair getting a silvery color its because your hair is very porous, then you want to back off of the purple shampoo bc it will start turning blue. I use purple about once a week. You shouldnt use purple shampoo but every 3rd wash because its very drying. Another way to keep your color fresh is to shampoo with clarifying shampoo to wash all oil residue buildup from other products, hairspray, gel, mousse, etc…rinse then use purple shampoo and let it sit for about 10 min. Since most of the brightening work is done with the shampoo you can really use any conditioner. I love Redken all soft conditioner. So far I like most all of Redken products they have great a sale going on this month sales and nobody can beat the sale of one liter size products this month better than Ulta.Anonymous

This stuff works great on my daughters tex-laxed 4C hair. I tried it on my 4C hair and it didn't do anything and I almost threw it out but I'm so glad I tried it on her hair instead, because everyone's hair is different. It really does smooth the hair cuticle, therefore softening the hair almost instantly! Not many products work for my daughters hair. Her hair is very, very dry and breaks easily. It does not tolerate any type of tension. I've been searching for the very best conditioners for her hair type. So far this is the 4th rinse-out conditioner that I have found that works great on her hair and Im so excited. The other 3 are: Pantene Smooth & Sleek conditioner, Pantene Nutrient Blends Miracle Moisture Boost w/ Rose Water, Suave Keratin Infusion Smoothing Conditioner. I tried this product in two ways. I tried it as it was recommended, which was to use heat for deeper penetration and the other was leaving the deep conditioner on for 30-40 minutes. I feel like doing it these ways got me the samw result which is great for people who dont like using heat at all. Using this helped me detangle my hair because it gave enough slip from how moisturizing it is. Also, my half of my hair has been bleached twice and the color immediately after. That side of my hair had been limp for so long until i started using this for weeks. I want to add emphasis on weeks because its not a fast process and it took multiple uses to start seeing my curl pattern get stronger. My only complaint is that spreading it can be a little bit hard and you might have to use alot to fully saturate the hair if you long hair. This is also not buttery enough for curlier hair, like 3c to 4c hair. (in the picture i did finger coil my hair but everything i said still is relevant. In all my years I have never found a Deep conditioner that actually deep conditions. BUT THIS RIGHT HERE HONEST TO GOD, on all that I love has been absolutely and GEM find. I picked it up by chance at Target and was blown away. But of course my luck they were no longer selling in stores. I found only one other store the sells this and I pray they never stop selling. I love using this product it smells and feels amazing from the moment you start applying it to your hair. My once Frizzy and damaged hair started to look and feel perfect and I haven’t stopped using it since. Oh wow. I see now why this is always sold out on Ipsy points lol! I’ve had this for a while but used it once and forgot about it. I’ve been on a strict finishing my products and it’s now this guys turn… I shampoo, condition my hair, apply this on my damp hair and put a hair towel on to let the product sink in. After a few minutes I use a hair dryer and then I use a Soleil round blow drying brush. I SWEAR I feel like I went to the salon and it’s all because of this product!!!!!!! I bought the 2oz bottle, not a gallon but there's no option for it. So I used the sample sachet of the unscented version and I thought it was good sulfate-free shampoo. I wanted to try a scented one so I bought the 2oz Island Fantasy and I don’t know what went wrong. I had to use way more of the shampoo this time around to even get enough to work through to my scalp. When I rinsed it out this time it felt like my hair was stripped and squeaky and my roots felt tangled. When I used the unscented sample it was soft and felt smooth in my hair when rinsing out. I followed this up with my usual go-to Dove intense moisture conditioner and my hair is not drying the same. It looks dry, feels dry, and the frizz has been real. I’ve been trying to tame it by twisting and clipping it up in a bun all day because of how bad my hair has been looking. Is there a difference between the unscented and Island Fantasy? Really sucks because I’ve been wanting to find a good sulfate-free shampoo to use in between normal sulfate washes, but it seems like none of Jessicurl products work for me.julia.s

One of the things about gels that I run into is it not being being 100% compatible with very season. Some gels are good for all year round, while some gels work their magic best in certain seasons, but this gel right here work’s it’s magic no matter the season or whatever may come up, where your hair needs strong hold and ultimate frizz protection that you can count on truly all day long. This gel is glycerin free, for those who may be interested in such. It does contain alcohol listed as its last ingredient, but alcohol is actually a component t of one of the polyquat’s used in this product. So, alcohol isn’t added separately to this product, for those that may have been wondering. It is on 7/10ths of this product. Also, you do not smell any traces of such when you smell this product at all. The fragrance free version comes completely fragrance free, and this gel has a lightweight consistency (but is not runny), it dries clear, it doesn’t flake, and it gives y hair hold fit more than one day, which for me is a miracle, because with most stylers that I use, I have to refresh my hair with more styling product ASAP every morning. Because, after I sleep on my hair, even with a satin bonnet on, my hair typically be needing some extra help in the mornings, for sure. But, the hold on this product is fantastic. I can use this product on both wet and dry hair without any problems, but I do choose to use Jessicurl’s hairspray (which is alcohol free) to give my hair a quick pick me up or to take flyaways that may pop up in between my hair wash day. They do have a curl refresher within the Jessicurl line, but it just isn’t best suited for my hair unfortunately. But, their hair spray on the other hand works so much better at reviving my hair, whenever needed. This is a very universal gel that was created for all curltypes, all hair textures, and definitely for all races. So, if you haven’t given Jessicurl a try yet, I’d highly recommend checking out all that they have to offer and what products may suit your wavy, curly, or coily hair best for sure!sybil.w

Maybe I just have the worst luck with hair products or something because it’s such a struggle to find anything that actually works. I purchased a small 2oz bottle of this deep conditioner and I don’t understand what’s deep conditioning about it. It’s super-duper thick and hard to get out of the bottle which seemed like a good thing if it was moisturizing at all. The smell was nice and light but had a hint of a weird crayon smell that the other unscented Jessicurl products have. It had no slip and I was already kind of worried that it would not be moisturizing. I left it on and put a cap on for 30 ish minutes with a towel wrapped around my head to trap heat in. I also periodically used the blow dryer to heat it up inside the towel. I rinsed it all out and then put some argan oil and OGX Moroccan oil and wrapped my hair with a Tshirt. When I was letting it air dry after that, I could tell things were going south with how crispy and frayed my ends were looking. I JUST trimmed my ends a week before as well so this shouldn’t have happened if I deep conditioned my hair. During the drying process, my hair frizzed up a lot and looked super dry and crispy. My ends felt crispy and my ends were a tangled mess. I tried to smooth out my frizzy waves but it was still a terrible mess (photo on the right).julia.s

I have been looking for something to tone down my brassiness in between coloring. I was thinking I might have to resort to additional treatments (i.e. semi-permanent or a rinse in between permanent color). I wasn't even sure if that would work, plus a hassle for yet another process. Amazingly with the Visibly Deeper product line, I can now "cure" my brassiness ridiculously easily as I wash my hair! I'm thrilled! I saw instant results! Plus the products are gentle on my hair. I've colored my hair for about 8 years now because of the gray that has infiltrated my warm medium brown hair. My hair gets brassy after about 2 weeks from coloring and continues to increase brassiness until my next color. Looks horrible. This product line completely fixes the problem because it contains tint. It also "covers" my gray roots too. I'm not sure if it's actually depositing color on the gray or if the overall "color refresh" camouflages the gray roots. All I know is I have FINALLY found the solution to my brassiness woes with the added benefit of diminishing the appearance of gray roots between coloring! I purchased this because of great reviews online. I was so skeptical and scared trying any products on my scalp due to psoriasis. My grey hair started to show up but because of my scalp disease, was so hesitant coloring or even using harsh shampoo. But because of such great reviews, I tried it and oh boy! First impression, it made my hair soft, silky and smells really really good! It darkens my grey to white hairs. I was really excited to receive this vox box from influenster for free to review as I’ve always wanted to try Pureology but was put off by the $91 price for the shampoo/conditioner combo. I have really thick, fine, mostly straight hair and usually wash my hair every 2nd or 3rd day, depending on if I got rained on/worked out/got sweaty etc. Any more often and my hair frizzes like crazy. Using that time table for washing and air drying 75% and then blow drying my hair is usually sleek and shiny and straight, even without using a flat iron. I had it trimmed about 3 weeks ago and had an olaplex treatment just to keep the hot weather/humidity frizz to a minimum, so my hair is very healthy, even though it runs on the dry side since it’s so thick. The first time I used this shampoo conditioner I noticed my hair seemed to hold onto water, I couldn’t get it as dry with my microfiber towel and it took twice as long to air dry to 75% than normal. Then, when using my blow dryer to finish off, it still took double the time and I felt like I just couldn’t get it 100% dry. Not only that, I had flyaways like crazy and my hair looked so dull, and I had a constant kink in the back. My usually smooth, thick ponytail was frizzy around my hairline and the tail itself looked stringy and separated and dry. I figured maybe it was a fluke- my hair getting used to new shampoo. Nope. I’ve used this shampoo and conditioner 5 times now over the course of 2 weeks and my hair looks just as horrible and takes longer to dry every single time. I couldn’t stomach the thought of using this shampoo again, so I gave it to my fiancé who loves pricy shampoo and he was happy with it. Hence 2 stars instead of 1. I will keep the conditioner for myself and use it once a week or so as a hair mask when I’m soaking in the tub, as I feel like it’s the shampoo, rather than the conditioner that is making my hair look so terrible. If I had paid $91 for this I would have been livid. I’m incredibly grateful to influenster for this box and giving me a chance to try this shampoo without having to purchase it myself. After using L'Oreal's Ever Pure for about 6 months, I bought sample size bottles of the Nanoworks Gold shampoo and conditioner to try first before making the investment in full-size bottles. I have fine textured, straight and on the thin side, naturally gray hair with dry ends that tends to be a bit frizzy and fly away right after I wash it. Oh, and my scalp is normal. I was concerned that this shampoo and conditioner would weigh my hair down too much, and make my scalp become too oily too soon after washing, but that didn't happen. Instead, it improved my dry ends and pretty much did away with the frizzies and fly aways. BUT it's very expensive so I decided to go back to using the less expensive Pureology Hydration Sheer that I used before trying the L'Oreal Ever Pure. What I plan to do is alternate the Nanoworks Gold and Hydration Sheer because I really like them both. I only wash my hair about 3 or 4 times a week and it definitely only takes a very small amount of the Nanoworks Gold to get a great lather which was something I had to get used to, so I didn't waste it. It also has a very delicate, not overpowering scent for those who care. Pureology is definitely a quality product and worth the extra money it you care about your hair, and I do.JJ in Indiana

This is expensive but it's also concentrated so you only need a small amount and it lasts a long time. 1st shampoo: clarifying..either PM or redken 2nd shampoo: nanoworks gold shampoo conditioner: nanoworks gold conditioner & I leave it in for 10-15min then rinse *clarify 1st to remove buildup *when you use the shampoo, apply a small amount in your hands, add a bit of water and emulsify it(aka rub your hands together until it's sudsy), then apply it to your scalp only and let it sit for 5 minutes to work properly *always shampoo twice. You don't need to use a clarifying shampoo every time you wash your hair but it should be used about once a week to get rid of buildup/products and helps the shampoo work effectively *the first shampoo won't get sudsy and foam up but the second shampoo will. This is normal. The first shampoo removed the dirt and oil the second shampoo is actually cleaning your scalp. *use a scalp massage brush when you shampoo to thoroughly clean your hair If you use all my tips then you'll love this product. I've used it for years and prefer it over the hydrate and strength lines. Also prefer this smell and it leaves my hair soft and hydrated. Nothing else compares and it's worth it to have beautiful healthy shiny hair. Now buy it.Beautyful1

I need a haircut right now, so my 3b curls are looser than usual. Usually, I have a fairly tight spiral curl throughout, but my hair is overall fine. I need something to hold my curls together without frizz to keep the curls intact. I keep my hair long, but I need the dead ends trimmed. I don't regularly use a hair masking product, but I got this in an Allure box for this February. After one use, my hair was shiny, and my curls were tighter than they've been in months. It felt like I had a trim at the salon. My hair was very soft and bouncy, even with my usual styling products. My curls still held well despite how soft this product made my hair. I am very happy with the results and will use it again. The smell is pleasant but doesn't linger over my other styling products as well. I'll look into other hair repair masks too, since I have some other samples to try. I will compare them to this one since it did so well.abby.r

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review from Briogeo and Octoly. I was excited to try Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair deep conditioning hair mask. I have blonde highlighted hair that is very long and heat styled and I also have some hair extensions currently so moisturizing products as well as sulfate products with no sulfate in them are important to me. I have used Briogeo products before and been pleased with the results. Overall I would say my results were average. I used the product twice, so maybe since it was you need to use it three times before you get two times stronger hair I would need to get one more use to get there? I liked that it felt thick going on my hair, not too watered down. But I did not care or the smell, it was actually slightly unpleasant to me, I could not put my finger on it. I normally use Olaplex as my conditioner and I like a conditioner that does not weigh my hair down and allows my hair to hold a style this one did that not as well as olaplex but better than most products do. I will continue to use it and see if my hair improves. Overall I think it’s a good product but it may be just a bit heavy for someone with flat thinner hair.lisa.z

My hair is curly and gets frizzy when it drys. I have frizzy split ends too. I love this hair mask! It really does moisturize and reduce the frizz. I leave the mask in my hair for the full 10 minutes, sometimes I'll go a little longer before I rinse, and I am always satisfied with the results. I've been using Moroccan Oil hair products for many years. Because my go-to "smoothing" conditioner was out of stock, I decided to try the "repair" conditioner. It's absolutely terrible. When rinsing my hair in the shower, it isn't silky and smooth; it feels like I didn't use conditioner at all. When combing through towel-dried hair, I have to use twice as much of my leave-in conditioner spray just to get a comb through it. This was a very expensive purchase with terrible results. I sent an email to Moroccan Oil within 30 days of purchase, in accordance with their return policy. I never received a response. Now I'm stuck with a $65 bottle of useless conditioner.Jennifer G.

I purchased this along with the Moroccanoil Moisuture & Shine shampoo. I will say that this conditioner is much better than the shampoo, however I still wasn’t overly impressed – especially for the price. If you have thick hair like myself and go through a large amount of conditioner, this bottle is not going to last you long. The first time I used this conditioner, my hair was extremely greasy, although it wasn’t greasy the second time I tried it – I am not sure why. I didn’t find that my hair felt any better than it does after using a drugstore conditioner and I can’t bring myself to purchase this 1-2 times per month for the same results as a $10 conditioner. Purchased the set with the detangler in it. I had to use quite a bit of shampoo and the consistency was really watery therefore used far more product as most of it ran thru your finger before you applied it to your head. I did like how my hair looked and felt when using it and my processed colored hair looked great. I'm going to try another bottle to see if i had a dud. 🙂PBW

The Volume Therapy Shampoo was okay but did not care for the Volume Creme Rinse. The Rinse did not seem to do much for my hair and did not make it easier to comb. I found myself having to use a detangler or a spray conditioner to be able to comb through my hair and that is why I bought the product originally. I couldn't disagree more with these other reviews. This shampoo and conditioner is absolutely amazing. I cannot fathom how they came up with a formula that both enriches with conditioning without leaving any kind of heavy weight behind. I have curly, oily hair and have to wash every day. I've used this product for years, but they seem to have changed the formulation. I purchased two 1L bottles sometime ago. I just ran out of the old formula and opened the new bottle, and (as many have said) it does not clean. It leaves a waxy/greasy residue on my hair no matter how much I rinse, regardless of whether or not I follow with conditioner. I tried emailing the company a month ago, but have heard no reply.PJ

I've been a fan of this brand for years and although I no longer have colored hair, my hair is still quite thick, dry, and terribly unruly, so I was super stoked to try out this conditioner and its accompanying shampoo. My first impression is that this conditioner smells FREAKING AMAZING. I swear Nexxus always does such a fantastic job in the scent department. If they made this scent into a perfume I'd totally be all over it. So onto the actual review: Again, since I don't color my hair anymore, I can't personally speak for its color protection benefits. However, I can say that this product does a great job conditioning my hair while being extremely nourishing and moisturizing. My hair always feels amazingly healthy and smooth coming out of the shower after using this conditioner. I apply this conditioner to the ends of my hair immediately after rinsing out my shampoo. I like to keep my conditioner in for as long as possible before washing it out, so I'll usually clip up my hair and carry on with the rest of my shower routine before rinsing out the conditioner at the very end. Tips: This conditioner is extremely moisturizing and has a tendency to cling onto hair so make sure to rinse it out COMPLETELY before leaving the shower. The first time I used this conditioner I did not take care to wash it out completely and my hair came out sticky and weighed down. If your hair is very dry and frizzy, mix a little bit of coconut oil into your conditioner for an extra boost. Remember though that with coconut oil, a little goes a looong way! Overall, this is a wonderful conditioner that is suitable for dry and/or damaged hair. I absolutely love this product! I use it in between getting my hair professionally colored and it tones down the brassiness and livens up my dull hair. I have naturally medium brown hair that I get highlighted and colored occasionally. I used to get my hair professionally colored more often but after finding this product I do this instead when I don’t need highlights and I just want to refresh the brunette color. This product deepens my brunette hair while still showing dimension from my highlights. My hair comes out shiny and looking much more healthy. For me this is a life saver product! I have dark brown brown hair with red highlights, and I bought the mask to refresh my highlights since they faded to orange. I put the mask all over my hair after I showered and towel dried and I took a while applying so in total I probably had it on for 20 minutes. My orange highlights are now a nice cherry red and although I didn’t expect it to some areas of my dark hair have a tint to it! I also have a platinum blonde birthmark in my hair which I tried my best to separate from the mask in fear of staining it, I couldn’t get it 100% out so those hairs turned pink so beware if you’re naturally a very light blonde. Also I wouldn’t even be mad if it didn’t color because my hair feels and smells incredible! I’m hoping I can build it to a deeper red or mix it with the cocoa mask for a darker red in the fall. Also it was a bit messy to wash out and I wore gloves to avoid staining my nails but in the end everything came out with waterMirandaVila

I have used platinum and blue. I expected the platinum one to turn my hair silver, but it barely does anything. It more just tones brass out of your blonde hair and darkens it a little. My hair is a bleached medium blonde to pale blonde, and the pale blonde areas looked much more silver toned, the darker blonde hairs it basically did nothing, got a little darker. I have also tried mixing the blue into the platinum to get a more steel blue silver tone, and that works well. The blue was very nice, not green at all. And gave my silver hair a much deeper silver stainless steel color. Using the blue undiluted would be much more blue. The colors are good if you want something temporary or wanna experiment. But the best part was that it made my hair feel pretty soft and healthier. I hope they come out with more colors, and more concentration color options. I was going to try lilac but I saw some people saying it faded into a green, so now I'm afraid to try it. The only issue for me was when i applied the platinum to my shoulder length dry hair, I had to use the WHOLE FULL SIZE BOTTLE. My hair is thick and dry, and I literally used the whole thing. So if you want the bottle to last then do not apply to dry hair, make sure your hair is DAMP first. The directions say towel dried,. I have also applied it while IN the shower and mixed with my conditioner, and I got good color touch-up results from that too.3lll3

Have been using this shampoo for years but it seems to have been reformulated. The name of the shampoo ‘miraculous recovery’ is the same, but the bottle now has a golden swirl on it. I thought it was just packaging redesign but the product itself is very different. Smells totally different, and leaves hair flat and lifeless. I bought the large size as it’s the shampoo I usually use. Straight in the bin and won’t repurchase. I love the Brazilian Blowout product line including the shampoo and conditioner. I had my first Brazilian blowout done in a salon and paid a decent penny for the treatment. After receiving a couple more treatments, I asked what products were being used and decided to buy them online. It's really easy to straighten your hair, just make sure the room is well ventilated. To maintain the soft, silky hair I use the Brazilian Blowout Shampoo and Conditioner on a daily basis. It's more expensive than the typical shampoo and conditioner, but a little goes a long way and I haven't been able to get the results from any other product line. Using the Brazilian shampoo and conditioner daily, extends the time between straightening treatments. From two to three months, I can wait four or more months. This stuff is pricey for me, yes, so I researched other reviews before landing here. I researched other dot coms (even making sure they were honest reviews by checking fakespot, etc.). I was using a harsh toning shampoo that I knew was going to do my hair in so I needed a SERIOUS treatment afterward I knew going in. I ordered this and – taking no chances – left it in for the directed time (after the predicted straw feeling due to the toning shampoo). My hair was so incredibly and unbelievably soft EVEN after heat drying I could hardly believe it. I did not wash my hair for THREE days I enjoyed the softness so much. The second time I used the toning shampoo I – was in a hurry – and only left it in a few (maybe 3 ) minutes. Once again, I 'needed' no oil afterward (but did use 5 drops of jojoba just in case as opposed to my usual 20) and AGAIN I was happily surprised. I normally don't go crazy enough for a product to review it with such vigor but this one is the solution to straw hair – hands down. (OH and the smell is delightful and clean.) I was hoping a product dedicated to curly hair would be some what decent but apparently not. I'd say my hair is healthy takes in moisture very easy never extremely dry BUT when i used this deep conditioner it was definitely not Heaven in my Hair. I noticed as soon as i put it on it wasn't melting in i pilled globs of it on my ends i let it sit for almost 10 minutes I couldn't even get my brush through my hair! I received this product to review through a cashback program. I have curly hair and have tried a devacurl product in the past but overall don't have much experience with devacurl products. In general, I thought the scent of this product was a bit strong and perfume-y which I wasn't a big fan of. I like subtle scents more so this was a little overpowering for me. I will say that my hair was very thirsty, dry, and not very soft. I feel that this product worked well to hydrate my hair and give it some new life. I've been primarily using Heave in hair to do a "quick" deep conditioner in the shower, as it's more moisturizing than regular conditioner. I usually leave it in for a minute, then rinse it out right there. It works really well in that use case. One extra star for that. Well, last Saturday, I finally decided to use this as intended. I lathered it on after conditioning and then left it in for twenty minutes. When I tell you that was a mistake… I rinsed it out and my hair had gone straight to wet frizz town. My clumps were also really messy. Not even brushing my hair with my denman brush helped. I style and dry and my curls have no definition and are really, really dry. They're crackly to the touch. Look at the pic! It's pure chaos. No deep conditioning treatment has ever left my hair like this. What an embarrassment! If you'd like to stay with the Deva brand, try the sea repair mask instead. If you're willing to venture outside, then do the Briogeo don't despair, repair mask. If you'd like to keep using this product, use it only for a short time and in the shower. Don't leave it in.Ev

I have been coloring/bleaching/highlighting my hair for as long as I can remember. Although I take good care of my hair, it has definitely suffered over the years from general maintenance and treatments. I use deep conditioners at different intervals for different purposes. These can get really expensive really quickly. I was excited to try BondFix as I had heard really good things about them but for whatever reason had not yet gotten a chance to try their products. I decided to put this on my hair dry. This is unconventional, and I know that most people usually use conditioner on wet hair, but I like to do this so I can take a shower afterward and really get a good amount of processing time. I went through my routine and blow-dry after. My hair looked wonderful. The conditioner had sealed my split ends hence the bonding effect, and it was as soft as silk. I used 1/2 a packet because I don't like over conditioning as it tends to weigh my hair down. I think it was the perfect amount. Great buy! It feels lite in my hair and does not weight it down. I use it right after a shower by towel drying my hair first, then rubbing it through the length of my hair and styling it like normal. My hair's length hits the middle of my back and it only takes about a quarter sized amount to reach the ends. It feels softer and looks so much healthier after using!
