20 Best Deep Conditioner For Damaged Curly Hair (Jan 2023 Update)

I ordered this after previously ordering the bold Uniq purple shampoo, which was amazing and worked so much better than other shampoos I'd tried. So, because this company appears to have high-quality products, I decided to try the treatment. It arrived quickly, and the pot was a good size. The usage instructions were very clear, simple, and helpful. And in writing large enough to read without a magnifying glass, as most people do. The scent of the product is lovely. It has a very thick consistency and you didn't need much of it. My hair felt instantly better and was easier to comb through. Initially, I left it on for 20 minutes. It was very simple to rinse out. I blew dry my hair, and after only one treatment, it feels beautiful and soft. My hair is in much better condition after just one use. My hair is blond with highlights that is prone to dryness. This product has absolutely changed the look of my hair! When I first purchased the product, I hoped that it would provide some TLC to my hair, which had become extremely dry and damaged as a result of the winter and keeping me away from my hairdresser. I wasn't expecting how drastically it altered my hair. My hair is naturally curly, thick, and sometimes unmanageable. I noticed an immediate difference after the first use. My split ends were less visible, my curls looked fluffy and healthy, and most crucially, the frizz was GONE. I love the scent of the product, and it was just the right thickness to distribute easily throughout my hair. I now use this product once a week as a hair mask and will continue to use it as a deep conditioning treatment in the future. I recently went through the process of lightening my natural dark brown hair to a very light ash blonde. Despite the fact that my hairstylist was very careful and we did it gradually, I suffered a lot of damage. I had been using Olaplex, and while it did help, I really needed something to replenish the moisture in my hair. I decided to give it a try because the reviews were positive, and I'M SO GLAD I DID. This is fantastic! I applied it after shampooing and left it on for 2 hours before rinsing it. I've done this twice since receiving it, and I can't tell you how impressed I am with the results. My hair has been damaged and it hasn’t been growing like how it use to and I don’t trust anyone anymore but my grandma to cut it but she lives hours away and has work at a salon so she hasn’t really been able to come down to cut my hair. So I decided to use products to help my hair since I’m desperate to grow my hair back to how it use to be but nothing has been working until my dad came across this product and had me try it out, and I only used it two times a week for 2 weeks and I already notice a different in my hair and that my hair is growing, I also have curly hair and my hair would get frizzy a lot so I’d always put it in fishtail braids but when I didn’t have a chance to I noticed my hair wasn’t so frizzy and it was silky. This is a fantastic deep conditioner! If you don't like thick deep conditioners or hair masks, this is not the product for you. What I loved most about this product was the fact that I could apply generously, but didn't use a lot. I have type 4, dry, low porosity hair, and needed a thick mask to use occasionally when my hair feels dry. After applying the product, I let it sit in my hair for about 30-45 minutes with a plastic cap and it did its thing. My hair was left moisturized and the mask was easy to wash out. The scent of the product is light when you open the jar, but once applying it, it does increase a bit. For some reason, it had a very masculine scent to me, but it wasn't too offputting. If your hair can tolerate coconut and thick masks, this is the product for you. My only recommendation is to avoid ordering it online and try to find the product in stores because the price is nearly double the amount than it should be.Sunny

This curl cream would be great for you if you’re not looking to have too much hold in your hair. It’s thick, but it doesn’t create a very strong cast for me. As you can see, my hair is already frizzing at the roots and it’s not completely dry yet. There’s no cast to scrunch out. The pump is also really hard to use and only dispenses like a dime size of product with each pump, which means I need to pump twice just to get enough for one section of hair. It is very hydrating, so I can’t knock it down too much, but it is probably my least favorite ouidad product, which is saying a lot because I LOVE ouidad. I’m giving curl quencher gel four stars because it’s definitely an improvement over the heat and humidity climate control gel which used to be my all time favorite go-to product until the formula was changed and it became a huge disappointment. Since I’m wearing my hair longer than ever before my curls need a strong gel that will keep them from getting frizzy. Curl quencher gel works pretty well, but it doesn’t give me that wet look or crunch that some gels create when they dry. (I actually liked that crunch because it held my curls in complete control.) My curls stay defined throughout the day and even the next day with the use of a satin sleep cap. I’m grateful for this product since my 17 year love affair with heat and humidity gel had to end when the formula changed.Pamela D.

Why would I buy this over priced, salon product, when the ingredients aren't any better or more natural? if it makes your hair feel like straw. you have protein overload, a buildup of protein on your hair. Adding this protein rich product, which works great on hair like mine that needs it, will make your hair feel dry, dull and brittle. if this happens to you, look up how to treat it but basically, cut all protein containing products from your routine and focus on clarifying and moisture for a few months and then keep it balanced. (I think the blue hydro creme one might be protein free but check first, I know its more focused on moisture and has hyaluronic acid in it.) I absolutely love this and the hydro creme. they work great for me and my wavy with ringlets, fine bleached blonde and coarse grey, high porosity, dry, damaged hair. my hair needs protein and the bond repair salve, these deep conditioners and the hold me softly balm have saved my hair, can't wait to try more products.snikic

I have a mix of 3c and 4a high porosity hair. This is the first time i used a curlsmith product, but from the first use i could tell that this is a really good deep conditioner. The scent is light and pretty and the moisture that it gave my hair was amazing. It left my hair feeling very soft which was surprising. it is thick, but it still offers some slip. Once i rinsed the product out my hair, it was still soft and didn't leave a film feeling. I Gave only 4 stars because i haven't used it for long, but i will definitely keep using it.Rachel

I love love love this product and I have only used it once. It defines my curls and leaves my hair soft without the crunch. I have used other Styling custards and curl refiners that have left that icky feeling and hard crunch in my hair. This product smells fantastic even before you open it. It has a jellie like consistency. A little bit goes a long way. I would definitely recommend applying this on damp to slightly wet hair, not dry hair for best results. If I could add a photo I would. I have a twa- teeny weeny Afro. I would definitely recommend. I also love how their products have natural ingredients not a lot of junk or additives or ingredients that you can't pronounce and have to google to know what you are putting on you hair. I have low porosity 2B with fine strands, but a lot of hair. I typically leave this on for 30 min under a cap. Pros: made hair feel incredibly soft and manageable after rinsing out. Seemed to help with brittleness and strengthening the hair. Scent is delicious, exactly like a vanilla-mint cake batter. Cons: Not as moisturizing as I expected, still needed to add a lot of leave in after rinsing out. I would guess it’s maybe more moisturizing for high porosity. I would probably still buy it again but the Raw Sugar curl mask is my holy grail, and half the price.Jo

This hair care product is now one of my must have! I cut off using conditioner part of my hair care routine and decided to use on deep conditioners now that the harsh winter days are coming in. I used all kinds of conditioners from top name brands to even baby products! I just used this last night and my hair is beautiful! It's so soft, it smells soooo good that I can even smell myself! *I received these products for free from Influenster and Carol's Daughter in exchange for my honest review, and WOW this product is GREAT! It smells SO GOOD, and is very easy to spread throughout the hair. It has protein in it which allows your hair to build up strength. This is amazing considering I have lifeless bleached natural hair that soaks up a lot of water and products but still ends up dry and breaking. Another thing I LOVE about this product is that it is free of coconut derivatives which is AMAZING because I have a coconut allergy and finding anything without coconut is almost nonexistent. This mask is really good, and I definitely recommend it. I’m not sure how often I will use it because it is a protein treatment and you have to be careful with those so that you don’t have protein overload and have the opposite affect of what you want. But, I will use this when I need a protein treatment to help my hair feel healthier and build strength against things like sun damage, heat damage, and overall just lack of care. I listed the ingredients below for reference as to why I don’t like this product and refused to put this in my hair. All of the beneficial ingredients are soo far down on the ingredient list. I love hair mask for my curly hair type (3c – 4a). I used many hair mask before where I fell I love with how soft and hydrated my hair felt and it can down to the ingredients and formulation of the products. This hair mask contains preservatives, silicone, alcohol and fragrance which are are drying and not very beneficial to hair at all. For curly hair types it’s highly important to keep it hydrated and this will not do that. I’ve also read up on review how there was residue left over and flaking from this product. I will refused to used this solely based off the ingredients and not wanting to risk drying out my hair. Olaplex hair care is turning my hair goals into success. I struggled with my hair care up until now. I saw my friend using it and I immediately wanted to try it because it made her hair look so nice and healthy. I use their shampoos and conditioners, their bonding oil, and their hair mask. They have numbers for certain hair goals and it didn't take me long to find the right one for me. On the website they have description on their products and what numbers do the best for you. This can lead you do find the type of hair care your hair needs. I'm a bright blonde so it is tricky to find the right products to keep that color. Olaplex doesn't make my color last any less. So for people who have colored hair and worry about it this is for you. Before the using this line my hair color only lasted about 3 weeks. This is such a fast fade. After using the products my hair has kept up with the color and had lasted longer than 3 weeks. I consistently use their purple shampoo once a week.Other shampoos and conditioners fade my bright blonde hair. This was so frustrating because then I would have to go back for so many more appointments then I needed. Olaplex keeps my hair bright blonde and maintains it. Although they are expensive and come in medium sized bottles I think they are still worth it. The shampoo and conditioner are 30 dollars each. This isn't so bad because you get away with using just little blobs that goes a long way. The shampoo is number 4 and the conditioner is number 5. The next product I use is the number 8 bond intense moisture mask. This mask sits in my damp hair for 10 mins. After that I go back in with my shampoo and conditioner. This makes my hair styleable and has more body. This keeps my hair shiny, smooth, and healthy. This product is also 30 dollars. I think this price might be a little much because it comes in a smaller bottle. But in the end process it is giving you what you are looking for. I usually use this hair mask once a week. I try to use it at the beginning of the week to get it prepped for the week full of styling. The next product I use is the bonding oil. This product is made for dry or wet hair. It is a heat protectant, detangler, enhances shine, and reduces frizz. For me this product met all the criteria. The bonding oil number is 7. The smell of this product is great. I mainly use this product when I get out of the shower to help detangle my hair and keep the frizz away for the morning. This keeps me waking up with my hair staying shiny. I also use it when I'm about to style my hair when it is dry. I only put it on my ends and then I continue to style my hair and apply heat. Now this product is also 30 dollars. I think this one is way overpriced because it is a super tiny container. Especially if you use it every single night. My hair before has been rough. Split ends after split ends, dry hair, and washing it constantly. My hair has always had terrible split ends and it was so hard for me to figure out why. After trying so many different products I finally feel like I found what helps me the most. Since I get my hair dyed and style it so often it does go through a lot of damage. Continuing sports as well makes it hard for me to not wash it as much so it doesn't get as dry. Bur after finding what I needed this is perfect. But overall I think the brand is perfect for people who need this type of hair care. I bought this for my wife and she use this with the No.0, No.3 and the No.4 I must say the combo of these products together is amazing. Her hair was pretty much destroyed frome excessive styling, blow drying and box dyes. We could totally tell a difference after just one use of these products. Her hair looks healthier, has more shine and manageability, doesn't look as damaged, she isn't yanking out knots when she wakes up and brushes her hair plus it has so much softness and looks smooth not frizzy. It seems like the texture, strength, and even the way her hair is laying is totally changing. The smells not over powering which is something we both love because sometimes hair fragrances clash with perfumes but not Olaplex it's perfectly balanced. Unlike a lot of conditioners it doesn't take a lot to cover your hair and even though the bottles aren't the biggest which was kind of a let down the magic that comes out of those bottles can't be beat and it's so worth it! I’ve been having issues with thinning and breakage for a couple of years now and it really does seem like I’ve tried almost everything. I kept my expectations low but since a lot of friends have used and liked Olaplex I decided that it would be worth it to try and so far it has been. Obviously it can’t cure thinning due to stress/genetics but the texture of my hair has approved tenfold since I started using the No 0, 3,4,and5. Since my hair is quite fine and thin I use the bond building treatment and hair perfecter 1-2 times a week for the past month. Honestly I am stunned at the results. Since it’s not a permanent fix but a treatment, you do have to continue using it. I did read somewhere that there’s no way for it to permanently fix your already damaged hair but it can definitely treat it while the damage grows out. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, there’s no apparent residue, and it felt healthier and looked healthier after only the first try and has consistently improved since. I’ve tried so many products that just seem to sit on top of my hair and reflect light instead of actually improving anything texturally. I was also stunned at the quality of the product, not just in effect but a little really does go a long way in each one of my products. It smells and feels amazing. I could clearly go on. I’m just so pleasantly stunned! I had read some very negative reviews and was prepared to just take a chance and I’m thrilled and impressed with the results. It’s made me finally feel like I can get my hair back to something I love again. The ONLY two things I love about this conditioner are the scent and softness of how my hair becomes after. That’s why I only gave it 2 stars. If you have carpal tunnel or arthritis, skip this product and go for something else. This bottle was horribly invented for this amazing conditioner. It’s EXTREMELY hard to squeeze the conditioner out and you can’t even take the cover off to make it easier. Also, you have to hold the bottle then swing it hard in order for the conditioner to get off the bottom to the top, then squeeze it real hard. To me, it’s not worth it. i LOVED THIS!! i have (well had! not anymore) dry, frizzy hair that gets tangled easily, especially in the shower. used this on my scalp (yes my hair is THAT dry.) and ends in the shower, and it was so nice and luxurious. i didnt even need to use a hand brush/detangling brush because my hair immediately straightened up in the shower just using my fingers for a few seconds. my hair also felt SO moisturized afterwards, literally so soft. i loved this so much, it didnt make my hair oily, it locked in enough moisture to give me the hair i actually desired from a hair product. will never use any other conditioners unless they can give me a whole new head of hair like this one does!!! i definitely recommend, never used a better product. and no, this review is not automatic, bcz this is THAT good!!!!!!!janis

This is the best product for my crazy hair. I have frizzy hair, a little wavy and thin at the scalp. It is color treated and dry at the ends. I normally use ogx Brazilian conditioner but not crazy for the scent. I was just attracted to Maui smell and color. It wasnt very expensive, so decided to try. So glad I did. My hair has truly transformed into a healthy, soft, shiny and bouncy texture. I absolutely love it! I use Royal oils H&s for shampoo because I had dandruff, that helped and it’s been over a year I’ve used and got rid of it. This conditioner is amazing. Seriously, the price is affordable. This is the first deep conditioner I've ever used that I actually feel has produced an appreciable result. I use it exactly as directed twice a week (15-30 minutes with a shower cap on) and I can honestly say it's made my hair softer with more moisture. The DevaCurl website claims that Heaven in Hair is one of the products that was just repackaged, not reformulated, during the 2021 rebrand. That cannot be true, though I can't fathom why they lied since they changed every nearly other product. There is definitely new fragrance – it smells like matrix hairspray from the 80s now, and it used to just smell clean and fresh. When I first pumped it out of the container, my nose and eyes were stinging, it's that bad. The smell doesn't dissipate either – it stayed in my strands until the next day and also did not go away when I decided to crack off the lid of the container to let it air out for a while. (The new packaging SUCKS btw. Once the lid is off, the pump doesn't work.) There is definitely more "slip" to this product than before. They must have upped the castor oil content. I used to use this primarily as a styling product, and it worked well when used sparingly and hit with some heat via diffuser. Now, I don't know what to do with it. Heat makes it stink even more and causes frizz. Tried it as conditioner, but it still stinks even after rinsing and frankly doesn't condition that well. It just kinda sits on the hair surface (that much hasn't changed). I have 3C curls, long hair, and sensitive skin. I was hopeful about this because it is one of the few products they didn't add coconut to in the rebrand. If there is a small company out there that could buy the old Deva formulas, they would have my support and my money. Just sayin.FormerDeva

I like this conditioner. Leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth. I don’t have extremely curly hair but it does define my waves to make them appear more curlier. I however don’t think the price and the amount you get is justifiable since other products of this same size go for $8-10. If it was $10 cheaper than I’d give 5 stars. But $20 for both shampoo and conditioner adds up and almost seems a bit steep for something that doesn’t exactly do anything differently than other products I’ve used. Thankfully I’ve got shorter hair so I don’t ever feel like I’m using a lot of this product. I have funny curls – my hair grows in almost straight, but then waves, and once a year I get an all over perm. I've tried almost literally everything. It seems I no sooner find a product line I like, and my hair no longer likes it. However, I noticed from the get-go that my hair felt amazing with all of the Rizo's products. The conditioner is a DREAM, the shampoo so far is not stripping or drying out my hair (others say they won't – but they do), it's not messing with my color (I also color my hair about every 5-7 weeks), and the leave in conditioner just keeps the softness in all day without weighing my hair down or letting it frizz. I just tried this for the first time today and loved it! I usually have to keep my deep conditioner in for 20-30 minutes on wash day, but I only kept this one in for 10 minutes and it penetrated so quickly. When I tell you this deep conditioner made my hair feel like butter…. My hair is curly and thick, and was very dry. I had tried different hair products that helped but didn't fix the problem. I didn't have to use a lot of the product (which is usually not the case). It is very thick and creamy with a light pleasant smell. It is not cheap, $38, but I can definitely see you get more than 6 treatments out of it. That's $6 for a treatment that feels like you got it done professionally. I have had treatments like this cost me $25 per application. Super worth it, and will be purchasing again and again. And telling everyone about it!!lark.s

I tried this deep conditioner out and was pleased. The consistency is super thick and absorbs very well. It was like a thick body cream consistency. My hair was super soft and was easy to de-tangle. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the smell is super light but not very good smelling. The smell didn’t linger at all but I could smell it before rinsing it out and was not a fan. My experience using Ouidad’s Coil Infusion Triple Treat Deep Conditioner was so great. The packaging is beautiful, purple is one of my favorite colors. I used this conditioner after shampooing my hair, I kept it in for a full ten minutes. This conditioner is infused with Black Castor Oil to strengthen strands, Avocado and Grape-seed Oils for ultimate moisture and Apple Cider Vinegar and Peppermint to relieve dry skin on your scalp. The conditioner smelled good, felt like yogurt in my hands but was thick enough to spread and stay in my hair. I like to detangle my hair while I have conditioner in and I didn’t have any difficulty combing my hair through with this conditioner. After ten minutes I washed the product out with warm water and my hair felt silky smooth.Chocgoddess

I tried this Quidad coil infusion triple treat conditioner 3 times in one week. I have long natural thick curly hair in which I use hair gel and hairspray every day to keep my curls in tact. I definitely needed a deep conditioning treatment to wash out all the build up. The product itself works great in that it did wonders for my hair and washed out all the build up. Also I did not need to use any detangler as my brush easily glided through my hair. The thing I can't get past is the smell. This product has a medicinal like smell. This and olaplex literally saved my hair. I got married two weeks ago and my hair was wrecked. The stylist who colored it slightly over bleached it the week before – no big deal, just made it a little drier. THEN we went swimming at the Rehearsal dinner, and my dad didn’t mention he had shocked to pool. The next day my hair was straw. I had breakage, couldn’t get a brush through it, it looked like an absolute rats nest. My husband had to lend his beard oil to myself and several bridesmaids just to untangle massive knots, and several of us ended up cutting them out. Add in heat damage from the styling for the wedding, and then sun/sand/saltwater from the beach and I thought I was going to have to completely chop it off. I have my staple haircare now, it took me YEARS to find the right brand and way of doing it. This is not one I will be adding to my routine. Glad I got the travel sized one! This is a really decent option for those that want a silicone-free, medium to slightly heavier moisture, and plan to use it frequently. When I did use it, I found that for my hair it reacted more like my conditioner than a hair mask. Now this is MY personal experience! Some probably find this to be a really heavy moisturizing product. My hair did not seem to agree. It was frizzier than it is when I use certain other hair masks. I can’t personally recommend this product simply because I didn’t love it the first time, and won’t use it again. Just didn’t work so well for my hair, but I am sure it can work for others just wonderfully! My suggestion is go into your local sephora and ask them for a sample of this! I need a haircut right now, so my 3b curls are looser than usual. Usually, I have a fairly tight spiral curl throughout, but my hair is overall fine. I need something to hold my curls together without frizz to keep the curls intact. I keep my hair long, but I need the dead ends trimmed. I don't regularly use a hair masking product, but I got this in an Allure box for this February. After one use, my hair was shiny, and my curls were tighter than they've been in months. It felt like I had a trim at the salon. My hair was very soft and bouncy, even with my usual styling products. My curls still held well despite how soft this product made my hair. I am very happy with the results and will use it again. The smell is pleasant but doesn't linger over my other styling products as well. I'll look into other hair repair masks too, since I have some other samples to try. I will compare them to this one since it did so well.hopefulrays00

I really messed my hair up something awful when I dyed my hair a crazy color then used hair remover "out of a box." I'm in my 40s, and my hair can't "bounce back" like it used to. I tried everything to repair it; salon and drugstore brands. Treatments, conditioners, and masks. Even though Kiehl's isn't traditionally known as a hair care company, I like their other products, and this wasn't super expensive, so I figured I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did! Now, the product doesn't smell great- it smells like olive oil. Like you'd cook with. That's a good sign, I figured: means it actually has olive fruit oil in it like the jar says! (Don't worry, once you put your after-wash product[s] in it, and blow it out, there's no trace of smell.) And you certainly get a generous sized jar for what you pay for. Well, boy, this stuff is awesome. I put a gunk in my hair and waited a few minutes, then ran my fingers through it to detangle it- it detangled so easily, it was ready for the comb! Unfortunately, there are no instructions on the jar, so I left it on in the shower for about 5 minutes (luckily, there are instructions here on the website below). The next time I used it, I could run my comb through it immediately (!) then tied it up to process for ~5 minutes before rinsing. I've used it weekly 2x so far and have noticed a HUGE difference in the resilience and breakage of my hair. I still shed like a buffalo, but I doubt any product in the world can help with that.DarlaDRK

Listen. I’m a first time mommy trying to figure out life and got no time for hair masks even though it has been bleached and thinning from postpartum. BUT THIS MASK. I bought it on a whim bc I was desperate and boyyyyyy do I make time to use this. I don’t care that I inconveniently have to go back and rinse it after washing my hair already (I liked the Olaplex no. 3 bc you just put it in 10 minutes before you shower) but it’s sooooo so good. Highly recommend – the consistency is thick and it smells aMAzing. This hair mask has made my hair feel voluminous, thick and SO silky. Absolutely going to buy this mask on repeat. I can never go back. I have long fine hair that gets extremely knotted any time I go out in the wind. In an effort to avoid breaking when I brush it, I finger detangle in the shower. I used to just use conditioner for that, but there were still a bunch of stubborn knots. This product makes it easy!! And it leaves my hair silky and extremely soft. I recommended it to a friend who had very dry hair from bleaching and hers looks noticeably better now too. This product is like magic! The one drawback is that while avocado oil (which is in the product) is great for my hair, it does make me break out, so I have to be careful not to get it on my face and wash my back after use. But my skin is really sensitive – so if you can use avocado oil, this shouldn’t be an issue for you. I still think it’s worth it for amazingly healthy hair.whitphi94

I like this conditioner. Leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth. I don’t have extremely curly hair but it does define my waves to make them appear more curlier. I however don’t think the price and the amount you get is justifiable since other products of this same size go for $8-10. If it was $10 cheaper than I’d give 5 stars. But $20 for both shampoo and conditioner adds up and almost seems a bit steep for something that doesn’t exactly do anything differently than other products I’ve used. Thankfully I’ve got shorter hair so I don’t ever feel like I’m using a lot of this product. But I’d recommend it to someone who isn’t worried about spending an extra $10 for something that does what Shea Moisture does.Cindy R

I have funny curls – my hair grows in almost straight, but then waves, and once a year I get an all over perm. I've tried almost literally everything. It seems I no sooner find a product line I like, and my hair no longer likes it. However, I noticed from the get-go that my hair felt amazing with all of the Rizo's products. The conditioner is a DREAM, the shampoo so far is not stripping or drying out my hair (others say they won't – but they do), it's not messing with my color (I also color my hair about every 5-7 weeks), and the leave in conditioner just keeps the softness in all day without weighing my hair down or letting it frizz. Started using these products almost two years ago, thought I found my holy grail products my hair was thriving. Started losing my hair blamed it on my stressful job & bad diet. Went to the dermatologist who told me to check into the products I was using. Saw reviews of other people complaining or hair loss from using Rizos finally felt relived. I purchased a couple packets of this after loving their Keratin mask. I haven’t noticed much improvement in how my hair feels after using it. Usually after using any kind of conditioning hair mask, my hair is super smooth and easy to detangle… nope. Even using my tangle teezer after using this, my hair was very tangled and not very soft. I also don’t like how this one smells. I was pretty disappointed considering how much I like the keratin mask.ashley .s

Hask brand has become a staple in my hair care regimen! My hair is sensitive, thin, bleached for blonde, and very fine. Argan oil was something I always swore by for treating damaged and frizzy hair, so when this line came out I immediately tried it! I combine this with the entire repair line shown in the photo! When I use conditioners I always let them soak in my hair for a while before brushing/rinsing out with a brush! This product didn’t seem to weigh my hair down at all, nor did it make it greasy after rinsing and drying! **Pro Tip, always brush from the ends up while conditioner is soaking in the shower**samantha.r

I've noticed some reviewers say that their hair felt drier. My guess is that this is because this product contains more protein than your average deep conditioner. If your hair is already overloaded with protein or low porosity, this mask may not give you the best results. Try the shea butter mask or tea tree mask from this brand instead (if I'm remembering correctly both have heavier moisturizing ingredients and less protein). For my hair, this product has been excellent. My hair is 2B, color treated, and high porosity. It needs A LOT of protein. I've tried every mask from this brand and this is the one I reach for most often. It gives me a nice moisture boost without being so heavy that my hair is weighed down after. I've used more expensive deep conditioners as well, but tbh like the ones from this brand just as much.Claire

I have natural/4a hair. I used this product after taking down a 6 week protective. I started off by shampooing with the TGIN Rosewater hydrating shampoo ( Which I LOVE). After that, I applied this protein treatment for about 10-15 mins. I immediately followed up with the TGIN Moisture Deep Conditioning Mask.. it left my hair feeling amazingly healthy.My hair went from feeling limp and brown to shedding and breakage, to strong and resilient to shedding & breakage. I'm not sure if I would have gotten these same great results if I didn't follow up with the deep conditioner as suggested on the bottle. Will definitely buy again! 🙂Taylor D

For anyone who doesn't know- protein treatments HAVE TO BE USED WITH A HYDRATING/ MOISTURIZING conditioner as the second step. I am wearing my hair curly and it's hard to tell if my hair is stronger. It did leave my hair feeling dry and I left it in without heat for thirty minutes under a shower cap wrapped in a bath towel. I have been experiencing a lot of split ends, breakage along the shaft and just overall not happy with my hair journey so I am praying for good results. At this price point I recommend trying this product just make sure you follow the directions do you don't end up with more damage.Product Junky

Use this in my 1 yr old’s fine, curly hair as a daily moisturizer along with aloe vera juice and essential oils. I also use it to style her hair, either method keeps her curls soft, moisturized and detangled, while helping to hold her style in place. My texture is thick and curly and my hair has the same results. I do not use it to hold my styles as my texture is too thick and requires more hold. The moisturizer itself it creamy, smells good and a little amount goes a long way. Not greasy or heavy, allowing for every day use.Angie D.

I've got fine, wavy/mildly curly hair.. I have lived in hard water areas for most of my life and my hair likes hard water. I moved to a soft water area just over a year ago and my hair has been horrible ever since. It was much curlier and healthier when I lived in London which has hard water. Don't ask why! I have tried SO many different products since moving to Glasgow (which has soft water) and my hair has been horrible since I moved here. It isn't as curly, it has become dry and almost feels like the wiry fur on a dog instead of the smooth, moisturised curls and waves I am used to. It has become really tangled and dry and I hate it! Finally I have found something that makes my hair feel nice and soft and smooth and helps to detangle without weighing my fine hair down and making it feel greasy and flat. I have been using the quenching co wash for the last month, it's fine but my hair still felt wiry until I tried this a few days ago. I actually purchased this from another online retailer as they were having a sale in the small size and will definitely be ordering another large bottle from here soon. I love the way my hair feels with this. I would definitely recommend this product. It also smells very nice. I wash my hair or use a co wash usually every 2-3 days. I find that I get greasy and feel like I smell dirty if I leave it longer. I'm sure this isn't the case for people with much thicker coily hair but with my fine hair, I will always need to wash it every few days and massage/scrub my scalp to avoid any build up or flakiness. I expect I will be using this product approx. 3 times per week.Rachey

I think this deep conditioner is not for my curls at the moment. My hair is very dry, damaged from bleach, high porosity, very fine 3b curls. After shampooing I applied the deep conditioner and my hair instantly felt tangled and knotted. Had to brush for ages to get my hair untangled. Also I felt it may have been a bit too heavy for my hair and it did not feel moisturised afterwards. I think I need to try the protein line instead. I think this deep conditioner would be great for healthy hair though and I just need to repair my hair first before using this again.Cyanda

I have been MORE than pleasantly surprised at just how much this TGIN Miracle RepaiRx protective leave-in has left my thick but fine, bleached and colored hair EVERY TIME I've used it!! Silky soft hair that detangles easily and DOES NOT WEIGH MY HAIR DOWN!! The ingredient deck on these TGIN products is phenomenal! I am a licensed professional so I have access to nearly every prestige professional hair brands everyday and I truly love some of my HG favorites….BUT…TGIN MIRACLE REPAIRX PROTECTIVE LEAVE IN LEAVES MY HAIR SMOOTH, SOFT, SHINY, EASILY DETANGLED (my fine hair sisters out there know the struggle is real after shampooing and conditioning to get pretty long thick but fine hair strands to detangle can get us twisted and angry.) My solution would be to use half as much product atarting from midshaft to the ends. I used to have dry, frizzy unmanageable curly hair (3b). I've tried nearly every product for curly hair and *nothing* has worked like this leave-in. My hair is now shiny and smooth, but retains my curls too. I can actually brush through my hair on no-wash days and my curls maintain their shape. With other products, my curls would fall and get frizzy by mid-day. I know everyone responds uniquely to products, but I am so happy to to find my holy grail! Other reviews mentioned to use it sparingly; I use it very, very liberally. My hair soaks up leave-in conditioner so I probably use 10 pumps, concentrating on the crown and ends. I do t understand some of these reviews, like it not being thick? This is a very thick leave in and you really need to use sparingly. I feel like if you actually put enough in to coat the majority of your hair to reap the benefits you would have a greasy head full of hair. I got this because I was a bit on protein overload and while my hair has felt softer it's not done anything to repeat or seal split ends like it claims. Doing a bunch of research after this issue I've found that although coconut oil is a big fad it is actually not good for a lot of hair types. ESPECIALLY if your dealing with excess protein in your hair, it will make the problem worse since coconut oil causes protein buildup. Wish I had know that before purchasing. Seeing as how so many products have coconut oil in them that's probably how I wound up in the mess to begin with. Just a FYI for anyone else that may be having the same issue. Now I do like TGIN repair mask, although I don't like the smell necessarily, I also don't get the amazing smell others claim regarding this leave in?! Maybe I got a bad bottle but mine has very slight of any scent and it certainly isn't amazing.. I had also purchased curlsmith double cream quencher mask, now that is a product you need to try for moisture!! That stuff is amazing!Jessie

I love using this product it smells and feels amazing from the moment you start applying it to your hair. My once Frizzy and damaged hair started to look and feel perfect and I haven’t stopped using it since. Oh wow. I see now why this is always sold out on Ipsy points lol! I’ve had this for a while but used it once and forgot about it. I’ve been on a strict finishing my products and it’s now this guys turn… I shampoo, condition my hair, apply this on my damp hair and put a hair towel on to let the product sink in. After a few minutes I use a hair dryer and then I use a Soleil round blow drying brush. I SWEAR I feel like I went to the salon and it’s all because of this product!!!!!!! It’s seriously good, I’ve been using my sample size, I have one more use and then I’m definitely ordering a full size. Omg, hair products are hard to impress me, I am suuuuuper impressed!
