This is a fantastic deep conditioner! If you don't like thick deep conditioners or hair masks, this is not the product for you. What I loved most about this product was the fact that I could apply generously, but didn't use a lot. I have type 4, dry, low porosity hair, and needed a thick mask to use occasionally when my hair feels dry. After applying the product, I let it sit in my hair for about 30-45 minutes with a plastic cap and it did its thing. My hair was left moisturized and the mask was easy to wash out. The scent of the product is light when you open the jar, but once applying it, it does increase a bit. For some reason, it had a very masculine scent to me, but it wasn't too offputting. If your hair can tolerate coconut and thick masks, this is the product for you. My only recommendation is to avoid ordering it online and try to find the product in stores because the price is nearly double the amount than it should be.Sunny

The DevaCurl website claims that Heaven in Hair is one of the products that was just repackaged, not reformulated, during the 2021 rebrand. That cannot be true, though I can't fathom why they lied since they changed every nearly other product. There is definitely new fragrance – it smells like matrix hairspray from the 80s now, and it used to just smell clean and fresh. When I first pumped it out of the container, my nose and eyes were stinging, it's that bad. The smell doesn't dissipate either – it stayed in my strands until the next day and also did not go away when I decided to crack off the lid of the container to let it air out for a while. (The new packaging SUCKS btw. Once the lid is off, the pump doesn't work.) There is definitely more "slip" to this product than before. They must have upped the castor oil content. I used to use this primarily as a styling product, and it worked well when used sparingly and hit with some heat via diffuser. Now, I don't know what to do with it. Heat makes it stink even more and causes frizz. Tried it as conditioner, but it still stinks even after rinsing and frankly doesn't condition that well. I however don’t think the price and the amount you get is justifiable since other products of this same size go for $8-10. If it was $10 cheaper than I’d give 5 stars. if it makes your hair feel like straw. you have protein overload, a buildup of protein on your hair. Adding this protein rich product, which works great on hair like mine that needs it, will make your hair feel dry, dull and brittle. if this happens to you, look up how to treat it but basically, cut all protein containing products from your routine and focus on clarifying and moisture for a few months and then keep it balanced. (I think the blue hydro creme one might be protein free but check first, I know its more focused on moisture and has hyaluronic acid in it.) I've got fine, wavy/mildly curly hair.. I have lived in hard water areas for most of my life and my hair likes hard water. I moved to a soft water area just over a year ago and my hair has been horrible ever since. It was much curlier and healthier when I lived in London which has hard water. Don't ask why! I love the way my hair feels with this. I would definitely recommend this product. It also smells very nice. I wash my hair or use a co wash usually every 2-3 days. I find that I get greasy and feel like I smell dirty if I leave it longer. I think this deep conditioner is not for my curls at the moment. My hair is very dry, damaged from bleach, high porosity, very fine 3b curls. After shampooing I applied the deep conditioner and my hair instantly felt tangled and knotted. Had to brush for ages to get my hair untangled. This conditioner is amazing for my hair. I have avoided buying this product for a while because of the price. However, it is a quality deep conditioner and I don't think there is anything else like it on the market. I usually have to keep my deep conditioner in for 20-30 minutes on wash day, but I only kept this one in for 10 minutes and it penetrated so quickly. When I tell you this deep conditioner made my hair feel like butter…. My hair is curly and thick, and was very dry. I had tried different hair products that helped but didn't fix the problem. I didn't have to use a lot of the product (which is usually not the case). It is very thick and creamy with a light pleasant smell. It is not cheap, $38, but I can definitely see you get more than 6 treatments out of it. That's $6 for a treatment that feels like you got it done professionally. I tried this deep conditioner out and was pleased. The consistency is super thick and absorbs very well. It was like a thick body cream consistency. My hair was super soft and was easy to de-tangle. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the smell is super light but not very good smelling. The smell didn’t linger at all but I could smell it before rinsing it out and was not a fan. I like this conditioner. Leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth. I don’t have extremely curly hair but it does define my waves to make them appear more curlier. I however don’t think the price and the amount you get is justifiable since other products of this same size go for $8-10. If it was $10 cheaper than I’d give 5 stars. But $20 for both shampoo and conditioner adds up and almost seems a bit steep for something that doesn’t exactly do anything differently than other products I’ve used. Thankfully I’ve got shorter hair so I don’t ever feel like I’m using a lot of this product. I have funny curls – my hair grows in almost straight, but then waves, and once a year I get an all over perm. I've tried almost literally everything. My experience using Ouidad’s Coil Infusion Triple Treat Deep Conditioner was so great. The packaging is beautiful, purple is one of my favorite colors. I used this conditioner after shampooing my hair, I kept it in for a full ten minutes. This conditioner is infused with Black Castor Oil to strengthen strands, Avocado and Grape-seed Oils for ultimate moisture and Apple Cider Vinegar and Peppermint to relieve dry skin on your scalp. The conditioner smelled good, felt like yogurt in my hands but was thick enough to spread and stay in my hair. I like to detangle my hair while I have conditioner in and I didn’t have any difficulty combing my hair through with this conditioner. I tried this Quidad coil infusion triple treat conditioner 3 times in one week. I have long natural thick curly hair in which I use hair gel and hairspray every day to keep my curls in tact. I definitely needed a deep conditioning treatment to wash out all the build up. The product itself works great in that it did wonders for my hair and washed out all the build up. Also I did not need to use any detangler as my brush easily glided through my hair. The thing I can't get past is the smell. This product has a medicinal like smell. It's not often i find something for my curly hair that just works and i need to review to hopefully help others in their curly hair journey. I have a mixture of tight and loose curls and ringlets but my hair is prone to frizz. It doesn't matter what i put on my hair and i have tried everything, 2 days later i have a halo of frizz. This cream is amazing, definitely a holy grail for me. I use it as a curl cream (leave in) and 6 days later i still have no frizz. This is unheard of. I love the creamy texture, don't be put off by the oil in the name as it's not greasy at all. It leaves my hair soft, bouncy, defined and shiny. Yes shiny, something curly girls know is hard to achieve. I follow up with either the souffle or gel and hover over with my diffuser so as not to break the cast. Then finally use the serum to scrunch in. My hair has never looked or smelled so good. Curlsmith gifted me a free sample of this conditioner in exchange for my honest opinion. This cream is rather rich, but you need very little product, so it doesn't weigh down the hair. I'd start with a dime-sized amount and add more as needed. I tried it on two different textures, 3C and 4C, both shoulder length. I got the best results using a nickel-sized and quarter-sized amount, respectively. It makes both curls and coils look healthy, shiny, and hydrated. It doesn't weigh hair down, and I love, most of all, that it doesn't leave hair feeling soft, not crunchy. It looks fabulous and actually feels like hair! I have to note that following the directions is crucial for my desired results, especially on coily hair. I comb it out completely before washing, and constantly rake my fingers through it while washing and conditioning to keep it detangled Once the Oil-In Cream is raked through soaking wet hair, I use the recommended praying hands method to cover the strands as best I can, but I also gently tug as I go to elongate the coils. I find this helps immensely with shrinkage. Tie it up and fluff it in the morning and it's good for 2-3 days without reapplication, unless you feel like a little additional moisture. If you wash weekly, it doesn't leave hair a sticky, greasy mess, either. Overall, while using this cream takes a few extra minutes of care, the results are well worth the effort. Also, considering the amount needed even on thick hair, this jar holds a good amount of product. This is my first experience with the Curlsmith brand, and I'm delighted that it does what it says. I have heard great things about this product on media platforms that I decided to give it a go. I purchased the smaller tub for my first purchase incase it did not agree with my hair. I have tried many products over the years and many products claim to do wonders for curly hair and these many products have ended up being a let down. This product without question does exactly what is says on the tin. From my first use I could see the difference and feel the difference it made to my curls. I have 2c/3a curls. This cream is thick and a little goes a long way. It did not way my hair down at all. My curls were tighter and so much shine to them. There is no cast or crunch. My curls are so soft. I have low porosity 2B with fine strands, but a lot of hair. I typically leave this on for 30 min under a cap. Pros: made hair feel incredibly soft and manageable after rinsing out. Seemed to help with brittleness and strengthening the hair. Scent is delicious, exactly like a vanilla-mint cake batter. Cons: Not as moisturizing as I expected, still needed to add a lot of leave in after rinsing out. I would guess it’s maybe more moisturizing for high porosity. This is the first Camille Rose product that I have tried that I didn't like. All of the others so far have been amazing, but for whatever reason this deep conditioner left my 4a high porosity hair feeling drier and more like straw than before I used it. It is a very thick consistency, which I usually like. It seemed like it never fully sank into/was absorbed by my hair and after leaving it to sit for about an hour I could still see it sitting on top of my hair. It is also quite expensive so unfortunately I can't recommend this one.

I tried this product in two ways. I tried it as it was recommended, which was to use heat for deeper penetration and the other was leaving the deep conditioner on for 30-40 minutes. I feel like doing it these ways got me the samw result which is great for people who dont like using heat at all. Using this helped me detangle my hair because it gave enough slip from how moisturizing it is. Also, my half of my hair has been bleached twice and the color immediately after. That side of my hair had been limp for so long until i started using this for weeks. I want to add emphasis on weeks because its not a fast process and it took multiple uses to start seeing my curl pattern get stronger. My only complaint is that spreading it can be a little bit hard and you might have to use alot to fully saturate the hair if you long hair. This is also not buttery enough for curlier hair, like 3c to 4c hair. (in the picture i did finger coil my hair but everything i said still is relevant. I have natural/4a hair. I used this product after taking down a 6 week protective. I started off by shampooing with the TGIN Rosewater hydrating shampoo ( Which I LOVE). After that, I applied this protein treatment for about 10-15 mins. I immediately followed up with the TGIN Moisture Deep Conditioning Mask.. it left my hair feeling amazingly healthy.My hair went from feeling limp and brown to shedding and breakage, to strong and resilient to shedding & breakage. For anyone who doesn't know- protein treatments HAVE TO BE USED WITH A HYDRATING/ MOISTURIZING conditioner as the second step. I am wearing my hair curly and it's hard to tell if my hair is stronger. It did leave my hair feeling dry and I left it in without heat for thirty minutes under a shower cap wrapped in a bath towel. I have been experiencing a lot of split ends, breakage along the shaft and just overall not happy with my hair journey so I am praying for good results. Use this in my 1 yr old’s fine, curly hair as a daily moisturizer along with aloe vera juice and essential oils. I also use it to style her hair, either method keeps her curls soft, moisturized and detangled, while helping to hold her style in place. My texture is thick and curly and my hair has the same results. I do not use it to hold my styles as my texture is too thick and requires more hold. I purchased a couple packets of this after loving their Keratin mask. I haven’t noticed much improvement in how my hair feels after using it. Usually after using any kind of conditioning hair mask, my hair is super smooth and easy to detangle… nope. Even using my tangle teezer after using this, my hair was very tangled and not very soft. Hask brand has become a staple in my hair care regimen! My hair is sensitive, thin, bleached for blonde, and very fine. Argan oil was something I always swore by for treating damaged and frizzy hair, so when this line came out I immediately tried it! I combine this with the entire repair line shown in the photo! When I use conditioners I always let them soak in my hair for a while before brushing/rinsing out with a brush! I've noticed some reviewers say that their hair felt drier. My guess is that this is because this product contains more protein than your average deep conditioner. If your hair is already overloaded with protein or low porosity, this mask may not give you the best results. Try the shea butter mask or tea tree mask from this brand instead (if I'm remembering correctly both have heavier moisturizing ingredients and less protein). For my hair, this product has been excellent. My hair is 2B, color treated, and high porosity. It needs A LOT of protein. I've tried every mask from this brand and this is the one I reach for most often. It gives me a nice moisture boost without being so heavy that my hair is weighed down after. I love love love this deep conditioning hair mask. I have really frizzy, rough feeling hair and this made my hair feel so smooth and added a nice scent as a bonus! It's not heavy or sticky, and it keeps my hair soft and shiny throughout the day. Even in weather that can easily make my hair frizzy, this stuff keeps my curls perfect! Made my hair and curls so soft and also had great curl definition. This helps with tangles and keeps hair shiny and strong. It has definitely helped repair my hair as well as bring it back to life when it's dry. I find that little is needed to get good results and my hair is way more shiny and manageable when I use it. I would highly recommend this product.
Soft waves or curls with literally no other work or products if you want to leave that out, or a great addition to your curl care and style routine! This product is so smooth and loving to my hair!! Yes if you put too much of anything in your fine or thin hair it will get a little greasy, but just be mindful of what your hair type is and how many pumps you need from the bottle, you'll see your curls and luminous moisture come back to life (and dry shampoo can fix an overuse of it)! My trial and error showed me I use about 7-10 pumps but my hair is considered pretty long and wavy natural but not tight curls, thin/fine. It is amazing for styling alone or with other leave-in conditioners and heat protectives ! I also added as a leave-in overnight hair mask after a night shower and hair wash or rinse and my hair is so much softer and the curls air dry so much smoother now. I really like this conditioning styling cream and I would consider buying other products in this line of hair care.

*I received these products for free from Influenster and Carol's Daughter in exchange for my honest review, and WOW this product is GREAT! It smells SO GOOD, and is very easy to spread throughout the hair. It has protein in it which allows your hair to build up strength. This is amazing considering I have lifeless bleached natural hair that soaks up a lot of water and products but still ends up dry and breaking. Another thing I LOVE about this product is that it is free of coconut derivatives which is AMAZING because I have a coconut allergy and finding anything without coconut is almost nonexistent. This mask is really good, and I definitely recommend it. I’m not sure how often I will use it because it is a protein treatment and you have to be careful with those so that you don’t have protein overload and have the opposite affect of what you want. But, I will use this when I need a protein treatment to help my hair feel healthier and build strength against things like sun damage, heat damage, and overall just lack of care. Overall, even though I received this for my review, I plan on purchasing this product forever as well as the rest of the Goddess Strength line. I listed the ingredients below for reference as to why I don’t like this product and refused to put this in my hair. All of the beneficial ingredients are soo far down on the ingredient list. I love hair mask for my curly hair type (3c – 4a). I used many hair mask before where I fell I love with how soft and hydrated my hair felt and it can down to the ingredients and formulation of the products. This hair mask contains preservatives, silicone, alcohol and fragrance which are are drying and not very beneficial to hair at all. For curly hair types it’s highly important to keep it hydrated and this will not do that. I’ve also read up on review how there was residue left over and flaking from this product. I will refused to used this solely based off the ingredients and not wanting to risk drying out my hair. This product works as step one of my product routine. Does it give the best coverage or moisturizing power? No, but remember it is designed to also be a co-wash. You can tell by the slight astringency and bubbles post-rinse that it has mild cleansing action. You do need a fair amount to coat the hair enough to brush detangle, but it wins best all-around for curls. It smells amazing, and gives good curl definition, shine and frizz control. I wash it out, then use Alba cocoa butter as a scalp moisturizer/leave-in, and finish with a humidity hold gel, and get a beautiful cast that lasts about a week. I did prefer the previous formulation when it was called custom conditioner, (I think they were cutting costs with the change), as you didn't need to use as much, but still like it enough to keep using.dartarro21
I’ve been using this duo for a while and gathering my thoughts! Overall, I really like the shampoo and conditioner duo. I have pretty wavy hair that curls on the bottom layers, and it needs a lot of moisture to avoid frizz and stay shiny. This shampoo and conditioner really deliver! I love that the conditioner is multi-use, so works as a conditioner, leave-in treatment or as a co-wash. My hair stays nice and shiny and my waves and curls are defined and moisturizer when I use this. It smells great but isn’t overpowering, and I’m really enjoying it!Mzanelly
Bumble and bumble has the key to luxurious curly hair! I was ecstatic when this generous sample came in the mail because I am always on the hunt for great hair products for my curly hair. Bumble and bumble’s Bb Curl product line made my hair soft, feeling hydrated and my curls controlled. I got a great lather and a fresh feeling from the Moisturizing Shampoo. The 3-In-1 Conditioner was very creamy and hydrating whether I rinsed it out or left it in. Not to mention the fact that my hair smelled great! Bb Curl’s Anti-Humidity Gel-Oil left me with nice, loose curls and kept my hair from getting frizzy even when the humidity was high. I also used this product right before bedtime because it felt nice and light, leaving my hair not sticky to the touch. It was nice to not wake up with crazy bed-head for a change! I used the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil heat/UV protective primer before using my straight iron and found that it worked well without leaving my hair greasy or gunky. It also did not leave any residue on my iron. The Defining cream gave my curls definition without the usual crunchy, sticky texture we all dislike so much. My curls still bounced while I walked and I could even pick my hair without ruining the hold. It didn’t flake off either. The package is great, the pump makes it really easy to use on the scalp and since it's a big size it will last for months although it's not travel friendly at all. I received this as a sample and I am finding myself wanting to purchase a full bottle! For starters my hair is wavy at the roots and completely straight on the ends due to using a relaxer about 6 months ago. I know this product is for curly hair but HOWEVER I noticed as I put in a perm rod (with no additional curling products) my hair curled almost instantly. I bought the 2oz bottle, not a gallon but there's no option for it. So I used the sample sachet of the unscented version and I thought it was good sulfate-free shampoo. I wanted to try a scented one so I bought the 2oz Island Fantasy and I don’t know what went wrong. I had to use way more of the shampoo this time around to even get enough to work through to my scalp. When I rinsed it out this time it felt like my hair was stripped and squeaky and my roots felt tangled. When I used the unscented sample it was soft and felt smooth in my hair when rinsing out. I followed this up with my usual go-to Dove intense moisture conditioner and my hair is not drying the same. It looks dry, feels dry, and the frizz has been real. I’ve been trying to tame it by twisting and clipping it up in a bun all day because of how bad my hair has been looking. Is there a difference between the unscented and Island Fantasy? Really sucks because I’ve been wanting to find a good sulfate-free shampoo to use in between normal sulfate washes, but it seems like none of Jessicurl products work for me.julia.s
One of the things about gels that I run into is it not being being 100% compatible with very season. Some gels are good for all year round, while some gels work their magic best in certain seasons, but this gel right here work’s it’s magic no matter the season or whatever may come up, where your hair needs strong hold and ultimate frizz protection that you can count on truly all day long. This gel is glycerin free, for those who may be interested in such. It does contain alcohol listed as its last ingredient, but alcohol is actually a component t of one of the polyquat’s used in this product. So, alcohol isn’t added separately to this product, for those that may have been wondering. It is on 7/10ths of this product. Also, you do not smell any traces of such when you smell this product at all. The fragrance free version comes completely fragrance free, and this gel has a lightweight consistency (but is not runny), it dries clear, it doesn’t flake, and it gives y hair hold fit more than one day, which for me is a miracle, because with most stylers that I use, I have to refresh my hair with more styling product ASAP every morning. Because, after I sleep on my hair, even with a satin bonnet on, my hair typically be needing some extra help in the mornings, for sure. But, the hold on this product is fantastic. I can use this product on both wet and dry hair without any problems, but I do choose to use Jessicurl’s hairspray (which is alcohol free) to give my hair a quick pick me up or to take flyaways that may pop up in between my hair wash day. They do have a curl refresher within the Jessicurl line, but it just isn’t best suited for my hair unfortunately. But, their hair spray on the other hand works so much better at reviving my hair, whenever needed. This is a very universal gel that was created for all curltypes, all hair textures, and definitely for all races. So, if you haven’t given Jessicurl a try yet, I’d highly recommend checking out all that they have to offer and what products may suit your wavy, curly, or coily hair best for sure!sybil.w
Maybe I just have the worst luck with hair products or something because it’s such a struggle to find anything that actually works. I purchased a small 2oz bottle of this deep conditioner and I don’t understand what’s deep conditioning about it. It’s super-duper thick and hard to get out of the bottle which seemed like a good thing if it was moisturizing at all. The smell was nice and light but had a hint of a weird crayon smell that the other unscented Jessicurl products have. It had no slip and I was already kind of worried that it would not be moisturizing. I left it on and put a cap on for 30 ish minutes with a towel wrapped around my head to trap heat in. I also periodically used the blow dryer to heat it up inside the towel. I rinsed it all out and then put some argan oil and OGX Moroccan oil and wrapped my hair with a Tshirt. When I was letting it air dry after that, I could tell things were going south with how crispy and frayed my ends were looking. I JUST trimmed my ends a week before as well so this shouldn’t have happened if I deep conditioned my hair. During the drying process, my hair frizzed up a lot and looked super dry and crispy. My ends felt crispy and my ends were a tangled mess. I tried to smooth out my frizzy waves but it was still a terrible mess (photo on the right).julia.s
