I have been using the For Hers shampoo and hair conditioner plus the biotin gummies for two years and it has made my hair feel the best it has in years. Due to hormonal changes my hair started getting thinner, so I thought I’d try this to add to my collection. Tried it today and first off couldn’t comb my hair wet, and secondly it felt so matted and brittle that it pulled my hair from the root when trying to dry it. This mask made my hair feel dirty and tangled. Very hard to brush through and got tangled up all day. I thought maybe I was supposed to condition afterwards so tried it again a week later and it was the same. Felt like it left a residue and made my ends look fried and brittle. I’ve been trying to repair my hair after damaging it a couple of years ago and this treatment set me way back. I don’t know how they can sell this as a repair mask when all it did was damage my hair. So I want to start by saying I live in the desert and have super thin dry hair, so I was SUPER excited to try this product (I used all four products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave in condition together). I used all four products for this account: At first I was only going to give this a 3 because on day one of hair being washed, I feel like my hair still ends of feeling and looking really dry (especially the tips – see photos). BUT day two my hair looked/felt better, and day three my EVEN better! I showered all three days, it only used the products the first day, so you can see the progress of how my hair softened, my curls came out, AND I LOVED how my hair felt day 3/4. Normally with silicone products day 3 I HAVE to wash my hair again because the product is so heavy at my roots, whereas I LOVED how these products made my hair feel several days later. I still took off a star because of how dry my hair feels on day one. I have to suffer through one day of my hair bit feeling so great to get to better hair days, and I don’t really love that aspect. I was super excited about this Vox Box! I have extremely dry and damaged hair from a few too many bleaches too close together to go from magenta to bright turquoise colored hair in a short period of time! The ingredients are ingredients. I'm not one who is super concerned with ingredients; I'm more of a "does it work?" kind of person. The smell of the treatment is similar to the conditioner but not as strong with floral perfume notes. The consistency is exactly what I expected it to be and was like a slightly thicker conditioner. I would do my hair first so that the deep treatment would have as much time as possible. I am so glad I am not the only one who has noticed a change in the quality and value of this conditioner. I've been strictly using Humectress conditioner for 20 years, it's been the only conditioner I've found that works perfectly for my thin curly hair. The "Ultimate Moisture" formula is thin, grainy, and leaves my hair feeling dry and brittle. I'm still trying to find a replacement conditioner, but haven't found one yet. This is a classic bait and switch tactic, use the picture of the bottle that all Nexxus Humectress lovers search for, and then send the new formula version instead. I don’t recall the warning “packing may differ” on this product when I ordered, but I now see why it is said on so many sites. Nexxus Humectress’ formula changed and since then people search high and low for the version that comes in THIS bottle. The one with the white lid is nothing like the original and sad to say I got duped by Bed Bath and Beyond. This is a subpar product being passed off as the product pictured. I received a deluxe sample of this and the Briogeo Copy of Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo from Sephora. The scrub I loved and I bought a full size one. The mask I put away because I had cut my hair real short at the beginning of the pandemic, and then forgot about it until I saw good reviews for it on influenster. Now that my hair is longer I decided to give it a try. It was really liquidy. At first I thought it was because it was old, but I looked online and I guess they changed the formula and now it's thinner than my conditioner. I put a lot on my hair because it was hard to know if it was working because I'm used to a thicker hairmask, when I saw it has rose hip oil in it which I'm allergic to so I rinsed it out well before the recommended 10 minutes. My hair looks nice after using. But even if I wasn't allergic to an ingredient the thin texture I don't like and it makes me feel like I have to use a lot, given the price I just think there are better hairmasks for a better price out there. Yes my hair looks nice even after using just a few minutes, but not nice enough to justify the price.
I need a haircut right now, so my 3b curls are looser than usual. Usually, I have a fairly tight spiral curl throughout, but my hair is overall fine. I need something to hold my curls together without frizz to keep the curls intact. I keep my hair long, but I need the dead ends trimmed. I don't regularly use a hair masking product, but I got this in an Allure box for this February. After one use, my hair was shiny, and my curls were tighter than they've been in months. It felt like I had a trim at the salon. My hair was very soft and bouncy, even with my usual styling products. My curls still held well despite how soft this product made my hair. I am very happy with the results and will use it again. The smell is pleasant but doesn't linger over my other styling products as well. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review from Briogeo and Octoly. I was excited to try Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair deep conditioning hair mask. I have blonde highlighted hair that is very long and heat styled and I also have some hair extensions currently so moisturizing products as well as sulfate products with no sulfate in them are important to me. I have used Briogeo products before and been pleased with the results. Overall I would say my results were average. I used the product twice, so maybe since it was you need to use it three times before you get two times stronger hair I would need to get one more use to get there? I liked that it felt thick going on my hair, not too watered down. But I did not care or the smell, it was actually slightly unpleasant to me, I could not put my finger on it. I normally use Olaplex as my conditioner and I like a conditioner that does not weigh my hair down and allows my hair to hold a style this one did that not as well as olaplex but better than most products do. I will continue to use it and see if my hair improves. Overall I think it’s a good product but it may be just a bit heavy for someone with flat thinner hair.lisa.z

I have low porosity 2B with fine strands, but a lot of hair. I typically leave this on for 30 min under a cap. Pros: made hair feel incredibly soft and manageable after rinsing out. Seemed to help with brittleness and strengthening the hair. Scent is delicious, exactly like a vanilla-mint cake batter. Cons: Not as moisturizing as I expected, still needed to add a lot of leave in after rinsing out. I would guess it’s maybe more moisturizing for high porosity. This hair care product is now one of my must have! I cut off using conditioner part of my hair care routine and decided to use on deep conditioners now that the harsh winter days are coming in. This is the first Camille Rose product that I have tried that I didn't like. All of the others so far have been amazing, but for whatever reason this deep conditioner left my 4a high porosity hair feeling drier and more like straw than before I used it. It is a very thick consistency, which I usually like. It seemed like it never fully sank into/was absorbed by my hair and after leaving it to sit for about an hour I could still see it sitting on top of my hair. It is also quite expensive so unfortunately I can't recommend this one.

Oh wow. I see now why this is always sold out on Ipsy points lol! I’ve had this for a while but used it once and forgot about it. I’ve been on a strict finishing my products and it’s now this guys turn… I shampoo, condition my hair, apply this on my damp hair and put a hair towel on to let the product sink in. After a few minutes I use a hair dryer and then I use a Soleil round blow drying brush. I SWEAR I feel like I went to the salon and it’s all because of this product!!!!!!! I am truly #OribeObsessed. I love many of their product lines but this masque is magical. While so many others are turning to the latest and greatest claim of the other “O” product that comes in the minimalist 3.3 oz packaging, I am sticking with Oribe! I have naturally red, loose curly hair (between a 2c/3a) and I use this mask once a week to keep my hair nourished so that my curls and waves will hold in place and not dry out. While I am sure many will look at the price and flinch, don’t let that move you. I have hair past my shoulder blades and all I need to use is less than a teaspoon of product from roots to ends. Many other products will require you to use much more product in order to get the moisture and results that Oribe provides in one small dollop. This jar of masque will last me for months, even while using once a week. The pic I posted is what my hair looks like on day 3! Yes honey, even after pulling it up at night while asleep all I have to do is unclip my hair and refresh it with a few spritzes of Oribe refresher, or even a light mist of water and boom, out the door. This is NOT just a wonderful masque to provide moisture in your locks. I have found various alternative uses not mentioned on the Oribe website for this product. I have very long, red, naturally curly hair. I use about a tablespoon amount when I am using it as a deep conditioner in the shower. However, I keep this product on my vanity and use it every day for other uses. I dab my pointer finger in the product and use it to “piece” my bangs and to smooth flyaways. It holds my bangs in place beautifully with a little hairspray after styling my bangs. I also use this as a moisturizer for my hands before putting on my rings and heading out the door. Lastly, and this was the most shocking for me to experience….. I use it around my elbows and ankles just before I spray on my self-tanner!!! Yes, you read that correctly! It helps blend smoothly around those always tricky areas. The key when using this as a moisturizer is to blend into skin thoroughly. My skin isn’t sticky as you would think it would be by using a hair conditioner as a moisturizer. I have used this as a conditioner for my long hair several times and daily for styling my hair and moisturizer for my hands and you can barely see the product has been used. In essence, a little goes a LONG way when using quality products so don’t be fooled by the price. It’s worth every penny!!! I really wanted to like this. I always heard such great things about Oribe as a company. I'm a curly girl , with fine coils but a ton of hair strands. I think it's important to add that I'm a white girl but most have more of an "ethnic"…hate that word but just for context…texture, other than being SLIGHTLY softer. The products that work best for me are always targeted toward coarser hair types. Also important to add, I am well educated in professional hair care and am constantly trying new products for my naturally (and also chemical induced) dry hair. In fact, most showers I use heavier conditioners or masques. This masque didn't impress me and won't be in my product rotation. I felt that it didn't seem to be moisturizing or "heavy" enough for curls like mine. Honestly, the smell was ok but that wasn't even appealing enough for me to note it as a positive. As another reference I used it more than once and kept it on longer subsequent times to see if that would make a difference in my experience. There was no difference. I feel bad about writing a negative review but I read these when I'm making purchases so I hope this helps someone. I tried this product in two ways. I tried it as it was recommended, which was to use heat for deeper penetration and the other was leaving the deep conditioner on for 30-40 minutes. I feel like doing it these ways got me the samw result which is great for people who dont like using heat at all. Using this helped me detangle my hair because it gave enough slip from how moisturizing it is. Also, my half of my hair has been bleached twice and the color immediately after. That side of my hair had been limp for so long until i started using this for weeks. I want to add emphasis on weeks because its not a fast process and it took multiple uses to start seeing my curl pattern get stronger. My only complaint is that spreading it can be a little bit hard and you might have to use alot to fully saturate the hair if you long hair. This is also not buttery enough for curlier hair, like 3c to 4c hair. (in the picture i did finger coil my hair but everything i said still is relevant. In all my years I have never found a Deep conditioner that actually deep conditions. BUT THIS RIGHT HERE HONEST TO GOD, on all that I love has been absolutely and GEM find. I picked it up by chance at Target and was blown away. But of course my luck they were no longer selling in stores. I found only one other store the sells this and I pray they never stop selling. The DevaCurl website claims that Heaven in Hair is one of the products that was just repackaged, not reformulated, during the 2021 rebrand. That cannot be true, though I can't fathom why they lied since they changed every nearly other product. There is definitely new fragrance – it smells like matrix hairspray from the 80s now, and it used to just smell clean and fresh. When I first pumped it out of the container, my nose and eyes were stinging, it's that bad. The smell doesn't dissipate either – it stayed in my strands until the next day and also did not go away when I decided to crack off the lid of the container to let it air out for a while. (The new packaging SUCKS btw. Once the lid is off, the pump doesn't work.) There is definitely more "slip" to this product than before. They must have upped the castor oil content. I used to use this primarily as a styling product, and it worked well when used sparingly and hit with some heat via diffuser. Now, I don't know what to do with it. Heat makes it stink even more and causes frizz. Tried it as conditioner, but it still stinks even after rinsing and frankly doesn't condition that well. It just kinda sits on the hair surface (that much hasn't changed). I have 3C curls, long hair, and sensitive skin. I was hopeful about this because it is one of the few products they didn't add coconut to in the rebrand. A below average hair mask that smells bad. The hair mask itself is thick white cream, works very averagely if not worse, doesn't hydrate nor moisturise hair specifically, in fact, I found it makes my hair dry by the end of the day. Finally a deep conditioning treatment that's easy to use and works! It is literally set it and forget it. You put it on your dry hair at night and rinse it off in the morning. My hair is so soft and silky, I can definitely feel how much more hydrated my hair is. My hair needs extra conditioning too especially with all the blowdrying flat ironing I do. I pray this hair mask is never discontinued. It's a MUST for anyone who colors, highlights, or has dry hair for any reason at all. if it makes your hair feel like straw. you have protein overload, a buildup of protein on your hair. Adding this protein rich product, which works great on hair like mine that needs it, will make your hair feel dry, dull and brittle. if this happens to you, look up how to treat it but basically, cut all protein containing products from your routine and focus on clarifying and moisture for a few months and then keep it balanced. (I think the blue hydro creme one might be protein free but check first, I know its more focused on moisture and has hyaluronic acid in it.) I absolutely love this and the hydro creme. they work great for me and my wavy with ringlets, fine bleached blonde and coarse grey, high porosity, dry, damaged hair. my hair needs protein and the bond repair salve, these deep conditioners and the hold me softly balm have saved my hair, can't wait to try more products.snikic
I have a mix of 3c and 4a high porosity hair. This is the first time i used a curlsmith product, but from the first use i could tell that this is a really good deep conditioner. The scent is light and pretty and the moisture that it gave my hair was amazing. It left my hair feeling very soft which was surprising. it is thick, but it still offers some slip. Once i rinsed the product out my hair, it was still soft and didn't leave a film feeling. I Gave only 4 stars because i haven't used it for long, but i will definitely keep using it.Rachel
I love love love this product and I have only used it once. It defines my curls and leaves my hair soft without the crunch. I have used other Styling custards and curl refiners that have left that icky feeling and hard crunch in my hair. This product smells fantastic even before you open it. It has a jellie like consistency. A little bit goes a long way. I would definitely recommend applying this on damp to slightly wet hair, not dry hair for best results. If I could add a photo I would. I have a twa- teeny weeny Afro. I would definitely recommend. This product is a staple in my haircare regimen. I have very dry coarse hair that tends to be frizzy. This product really works! There is a very noticeable difference in my hair it makes it smooth, shiny, and very healthy looking. I try to use it as often as possible. I like this conditioner. Leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth. I don’t have extremely curly hair but it does define my waves to make them appear more curlier. I however don’t think the price and the amount you get is justifiable since other products of this same size go for $8-10. If it was $10 cheaper than I’d give 5 stars. But $20 for both shampoo and conditioner adds up and almost seems a bit steep for something that doesn’t exactly do anything differently than other products I’ve used. Thankfully I’ve got shorter hair so I don’t ever feel like I’m using a lot of this product. Firstly, a bit of background information on my hair: I am a natural blonde, but have bleached and dyed my hair (as I went to black then back to blonde a few years ago). My hair shaft is fine but is medium thickness. I have a natural curl to my hair with some frizz, with an oily scalp. I have long hair which is in good condition (as i only blow dry it twice a week and no other heat damage). This product smells absolutely divine! and the smell lasts on your hair all day. I use this after the biolage shampoo, as a conditioner (leave on for 5 minutes) and can also be used as a hair mask. This makes your hair extremely soft, smooth and shiny. I was amazed how healthy my hair looked and keeps getting better with every use due to the deep hydration the product gives. I would only use this once or twice a week as it is very hydrating! Price for this product is very reasonable and a little product goes a long way so it will last a while! The only reason this product gets 4 stars instead of 5 is due to packaging. It can easily slip out of your hands in the shower and looks like a refillable product instead of a finished product (it does not correlate with the aesthetically pleasing packaging of the shampoo and spray), however, the performance of the product out ways this con. The smell is so strong and contains 2 different alcohols. Smells don't generally bother me but this just smells so strong. It is a nice smell but I wish it wasn't suffocatingly strong. This also made my hair so dry. Extremely frizzy and dry. I was scared my hair was going to break off. I have bleached and natural colored hair. My hair isn't damaged but it needed a pick me up since it was feeling slightly dry. This made my hair more dry even using my pureology leave in and an oil. I was hopeful for this but now bummed that it made my hair much worse. My hair was not soft at all from this product. I’ve always wanted to try this brand since I have heard a lot about it from friends and coworkers, but since my hair is naturally curly, I am very particular about the brands/products I use in my hair. I can confidentially say Pureology might just be one of my go to brands now. I love that this brand uses no sulfates, parabens, formaldehyde or mineral oils to name a few. The smell is divine, which is mainly of the Camelina Oil, the Olive oil gives my hair such a shine, and the coconut oil leaves my hair feeling soft and frizz free and so much more healthier looking than before.
