I have low porosity 2B with fine strands, but a lot of hair. I typically leave this on for 30 min under a cap. Pros: made hair feel incredibly soft and manageable after rinsing out. Seemed to help with brittleness and strengthening the hair. Scent is delicious, exactly like a vanilla-mint cake batter. Cons: Not as moisturizing as I expected, still needed to add a lot of leave in after rinsing out. I would guess it’s maybe more moisturizing for high porosity. This hair care product is now one of my must have! I cut off using conditioner part of my hair care routine and decided to use on deep conditioners now that the harsh winter days are coming in. This is the first Camille Rose product that I have tried that I didn't like. All of the others so far have been amazing, but for whatever reason this deep conditioner left my 4a high porosity hair feeling drier and more like straw than before I used it. It is a very thick consistency, which I usually like. It seemed like it never fully sank into/was absorbed by my hair and after leaving it to sit for about an hour I could still see it sitting on top of my hair. It is also quite expensive so unfortunately I can't recommend this one.

I bought the 2oz bottle, not a gallon but there's no option for it. So I used the sample sachet of the unscented version and I thought it was good sulfate-free shampoo. I wanted to try a scented one so I bought the 2oz Island Fantasy and I don’t know what went wrong. I had to use way more of the shampoo this time around to even get enough to work through to my scalp. When I rinsed it out this time it felt like my hair was stripped and squeaky and my roots felt tangled. When I used the unscented sample it was soft and felt smooth in my hair when rinsing out. I followed this up with my usual go-to Dove intense moisture conditioner and my hair is not drying the same. It looks dry, feels dry, and the frizz has been real. I’ve been trying to tame it by twisting and clipping it up in a bun all day because of how bad my hair has been looking. Is there a difference between the unscented and Island Fantasy? Really sucks because I’ve been wanting to find a good sulfate-free shampoo to use in between normal sulfate washes, but it seems like none of Jessicurl products work for me.julia.s
One of the things about gels that I run into is it not being being 100% compatible with very season. Some gels are good for all year round, while some gels work their magic best in certain seasons, but this gel right here work’s it’s magic no matter the season or whatever may come up, where your hair needs strong hold and ultimate frizz protection that you can count on truly all day long. This gel is glycerin free, for those who may be interested in such. It does contain alcohol listed as its last ingredient, but alcohol is actually a component t of one of the polyquat’s used in this product. So, alcohol isn’t added separately to this product, for those that may have been wondering. It is on 7/10ths of this product. Also, you do not smell any traces of such when you smell this product at all. The fragrance free version comes completely fragrance free, and this gel has a lightweight consistency (but is not runny), it dries clear, it doesn’t flake, and it gives y hair hold fit more than one day, which for me is a miracle, because with most stylers that I use, I have to refresh my hair with more styling product ASAP every morning. Because, after I sleep on my hair, even with a satin bonnet on, my hair typically be needing some extra help in the mornings, for sure. But, the hold on this product is fantastic. I can use this product on both wet and dry hair without any problems, but I do choose to use Jessicurl’s hairspray (which is alcohol free) to give my hair a quick pick me up or to take flyaways that may pop up in between my hair wash day. They do have a curl refresher within the Jessicurl line, but it just isn’t best suited for my hair unfortunately. But, their hair spray on the other hand works so much better at reviving my hair, whenever needed. This is a very universal gel that was created for all curltypes, all hair textures, and definitely for all races. So, if you haven’t given Jessicurl a try yet, I’d highly recommend checking out all that they have to offer and what products may suit your wavy, curly, or coily hair best for sure!sybil.w
Maybe I just have the worst luck with hair products or something because it’s such a struggle to find anything that actually works. I purchased a small 2oz bottle of this deep conditioner and I don’t understand what’s deep conditioning about it. It’s super-duper thick and hard to get out of the bottle which seemed like a good thing if it was moisturizing at all. The smell was nice and light but had a hint of a weird crayon smell that the other unscented Jessicurl products have. It had no slip and I was already kind of worried that it would not be moisturizing. I left it on and put a cap on for 30 ish minutes with a towel wrapped around my head to trap heat in. I also periodically used the blow dryer to heat it up inside the towel. I rinsed it all out and then put some argan oil and OGX Moroccan oil and wrapped my hair with a Tshirt. When I was letting it air dry after that, I could tell things were going south with how crispy and frayed my ends were looking. I JUST trimmed my ends a week before as well so this shouldn’t have happened if I deep conditioned my hair. During the drying process, my hair frizzed up a lot and looked super dry and crispy. This is a fantastic deep conditioner! If you don't like thick deep conditioners or hair masks, this is not the product for you. What I loved most about this product was the fact that I could apply generously, but didn't use a lot. I have type 4, dry, low porosity hair, and needed a thick mask to use occasionally when my hair feels dry. After applying the product, I let it sit in my hair for about 30-45 minutes with a plastic cap and it did its thing. My hair was left moisturized and the mask was easy to wash out. The scent of the product is light when you open the jar, but once applying it, it does increase a bit. For some reason, it had a very masculine scent to me, but it wasn't too offputting. If your hair can tolerate coconut and thick masks, this is the product for you. My only recommendation is to avoid ordering it online and try to find the product in stores because the price is nearly double the amount than it should be.Sunny

The quality is outstanding. I have sensitive dry skin, also suffer from dermatographia, and my hair is a 3b/3c combination of dry ends and zigzag curls. As you can imagine finding any hair product strong enough to make my curls behave, but not agresive enough to make my scalp itch, was quite difficult until now. Due to my sensitivity, it's not uncommon for my skin to swell and itch because of a product.(which didn't happen with this product! yay!) The mild scent is really nice and natural, which I love because I don't like artificial fragrances. Every time I wash my hair my scalp feels free, if that makes any sense, as in it doesn't feel heavy with product and is able to breathe. You also don't need to use too much product in one wash since the texture is quite thick but spreads easily. After washing the hair is left soft but bouncy, it's easy to de-tangle and smells amazing. Because of my hair structure I tried multiple brands, and while some kinda worked, they required washing my hair every day since the roots would get oily cause of the product overload. With this one tho I could wash my hair once every 3 days(minimum) and that's awesome. It also moisturizes my scalp enough to get rid of the little dandruff I got from a product that irritated my skin. Overall I wholeheartedly recommend this brand !! I bought the whole line: shampoo, conditioner, mask, and curls definer. I use the mask once a week and the conditioner when not using the mask. The first picture is before I tried those product, and the second one is after the first wash. I have been using the Shea Moisture conditioner for approximately two weeks and was provided them by #trywithtopbox as a #freeproduct for my honest review. I have fine, thin, waist length hair that is naturally blonde starting to go grey, that is prone to split ends and I would describe as normal to oily. I don't wash it daily but every 2 to 3 days it's just too much work to do daily. I used the conditioner as directed and found that my hair combed out fairly easily even while still wet which was great as it tends to tangle quite badly when I don't use a good conditioner on it. My hair was soft and shiny and manageable. The container for this feels slightly greasy when I handle it during use even after rinsing them off. The conditioner bottle uses a pump as a dispenser which is great but I couldn't get the original one that came with the bottle to function. I replaced it with one I had but I noticed that the thick conditioner dries and forms a plug that takes several pumps to force out. I keep a minimum of 3 bottles of this on hand at all times! I have one in the shower and one bottle in each of the other bathrooms. I use it to keep my curly hair from looking frizzy. So after I get out of the shower and also on my dry hair, I will put about the size of a quarter dollap of this condtioner in my left hand, then rub my hands together and work the conditioner into every strand I can ! It really works and my hair does not feel greasy. Before using this product, I used Aussie Spray Gel. Smells great, works pretty good. But became hard to find. I'm going to try to write this review without crying… the entire [brand:aussie] hair care line caused my hair to fall out and irritated my scalp so bad I scratched till I bled.. it got to the point where I needed my drs help because I was embarrassed, thought maybe alopecia. At first my dr. thought it was just a pregnancy symptom however when it continued after pregnancy he made me bring in my entire face,skin, body and hair routine to find out that the entire [brand:aussie] line contained an ingredient called dm dm hydantion which causes irritations and hair loss. BEWARE online the ingredient lists DO NOT SHOW this ingredient but it is on the bottle's ingredient list itself. I love John freida and have many of their products in my bathroom, for anyone who hasn’t tried this brand I recommend you do, it’s a great brand for controlling frizz. I have thick hair and like to use this mask one a week for hydration. It contains avocado oil to feed and nourish my hair and leaves my hair really shiny and soft. It’s a great price and lasts for ages. It’s so simple to use, I keep it in the shower and after shampooing and rinsing I apply this to my hair and concentrate on the ends then leave for five minutes. It makes my hair really easy to style and free of frizz, my hair is sleek and smooth and hydrated when iv used this. It smells great and has a creamy consistency though when it’s all rinsed out it never weights my hair down, my hair is bouncy and looks like it’s been professionally done. Have been using this shampoo for years but it seems to have been reformulated. The name of the shampoo ‘miraculous recovery’ is the same, but the bottle now has a golden swirl on it. I thought it was just packaging redesign but the product itself is very different. Smells totally different, and leaves hair flat and lifeless. I bought the large size as it’s the shampoo I usually use. Straight in the bin and won’t repurchase. When I tell you this deep conditioner made my hair feel like butter…. My hair is curly and thick, and was very dry. I had tried different hair products that helped but didn't fix the problem. I didn't have to use a lot of the product (which is usually not the case). It is very thick and creamy with a light pleasant smell. It is not cheap, $38, but I can definitely see you get more than 6 treatments out of it. That's $6 for a treatment that feels like you got it done professionally. I tried this Quidad coil infusion triple treat conditioner 3 times in one week. I have long natural thick curly hair in which I use hair gel and hairspray every day to keep my curls in tact. I've got fine, wavy/mildly curly hair.. I have lived in hard water areas for most of my life and my hair likes hard water. I moved to a soft water area just over a year ago and my hair has been horrible ever since. It was much curlier and healthier when I lived in London which has hard water. Don't ask why! I have tried SO many different products since moving to Glasgow (which has soft water) and my hair has been horrible since I moved here. It isn't as curly, it has become dry and almost feels like the wiry fur on a dog instead of the smooth, moisturised curls and waves I am used to. It has become really tangled and dry and I hate it! Finally I have found something that makes my hair feel nice and soft and smooth and helps to detangle without weighing my fine hair down and making it feel greasy and flat. I have been using the quenching co wash for the last month, it's fine but my hair still felt wiry until I tried this a few days ago. I actually purchased this from another online retailer as they were having a sale in the small size and will definitely be ordering another large bottle from here soon. I love the way my hair feels with this. I would definitely recommend this product. It also smells very nice. I wash my hair or use a co wash usually every 2-3 days. I find that I get greasy and feel like I smell dirty if I leave it longer. I'm sure this isn't the case for people with much thicker coily hair but with my fine hair, I will always need to wash it every few days and massage/scrub my scalp to avoid any build up or flakiness. I think this deep conditioner is not for my curls at the moment. My hair is very dry, damaged from bleach, high porosity, very fine 3b curls. After shampooing I applied the deep conditioner and my hair instantly felt tangled and knotted. Had to brush for ages to get my hair untangled. Also I felt it may have been a bit too heavy for my hair and it did not feel moisturised afterwards. I think I need to try the protein line instead. This conditioner is amazing for my hair. I have avoided buying this product for a while because of the price. However, it is a quality deep conditioner and I don't think there is anything else like it on the market. I have been using this deep conditioner as well as the leave in for about 2-3 months and my hair is very soft and manageable. I used this deep conditioner under a dryer again last night after having in a protective style. When it was time to style my hair I barely had any tangles I was able to part my hair without much effort and it was deeply moisturized. This stuff is the key to manageable coily hair. I’ve been on a strict finishing my products and it’s now this guys turn… I shampoo, condition my hair, apply this on my damp hair and put a hair towel on to let the product sink in. After a few minutes I use a hair dryer and then I use a Soleil round blow drying brush. I SWEAR I feel like I went to the salon and it’s all because of this product!!!!!!! if it makes your hair feel like straw. you have protein overload, a buildup of protein on your hair. Adding this protein rich product, which works great on hair like mine that needs it, will make your hair feel dry, dull and brittle. if this happens to you, look up how to treat it but basically, cut all protein containing products from your routine and focus on clarifying and moisture for a few months and then keep it balanced. (I think the blue hydro creme one might be protein free but check first, I know its more focused on moisture and has hyaluronic acid in it.) I absolutely love this and the hydro creme. they work great for me and my wavy with ringlets, fine bleached blonde and coarse grey, high porosity, dry, damaged hair. my hair needs protein and the bond repair salve, these deep conditioners and the hold me softly balm have saved my hair, can't wait to try more products.snikic
I have a mix of 3c and 4a high porosity hair. This is the first time i used a curlsmith product, but from the first use i could tell that this is a really good deep conditioner. The scent is light and pretty and the moisture that it gave my hair was amazing. It left my hair feeling very soft which was surprising. it is thick, but it still offers some slip. I have used other Styling custards and curl refiners that have left that icky feeling and hard crunch in my hair. This product smells fantastic even before you open it. It has a jellie like consistency. A little bit goes a long way. I would definitely recommend applying this on damp to slightly wet hair, not dry hair for best results. If I could add a photo I would. I have hair down to my lower back. One pack is good for 3 uses. This mask is very creamy and smells so delicious! I leave it in my hair for at least 10 minutes and my hair couldn't be happier. I use once a week. I noticed with other hair masks and revitalizing conditioners, they were so goopy and waxy to the point of clogging my shower drain. This mask rinses out so cleanly. Okay, so I write this in follow up of the Detox Scrub (which I highly advise you use in conjunction with this). Same as before, I bought this after spending three weeks in the woods on a Field Operation with my unit. My hair was disgusting and had been pulled into a bun for the whole time. There was pollen, dirt, sand, and probably a homeless person living in it. I used the Detox scrub first to cleanse my soul and followed it up with this bad boy for 10 minutes as the instructions say. Ladies and men of locks… I emerged from the shower a new woman. My hair was blonde again, my outlook on life drastically improved, I felt like a blonde goddess. Honestly I love this stuff! It smells sooo good but it isn’t a super overwhelming scent it just smells like bananas and I love that. It makes my hair super soft, shiny, bouncy and lightweight. It rejuvenates it after days in the sun and in the water. I squeezed it all into a reusable bottle that way I can just use a little at a time and it lasts me forever. I love their shampoo so it seemed natural to try the conditioner but this product just isn't as good. It's incredibly thick and heavy, a little bit goes a long way, but I have finer hair and it seems to coat it a bit too much. The biggest issue though is the fact that it's so thick it does not come out of the tiny hole in the cap, I have to take that off and force the conditioner out of the bottle.Mellow
