20 Best Deep Conditioners For Damaged Hair (Jan 2023 Update)

Olaplex hair care is turning my hair goals into success. I struggled with my hair care up until now. I saw my friend using it and I immediately wanted to try it because it made her hair look so nice and healthy. I use their shampoos and conditioners, their bonding oil, and their hair mask. They have numbers for certain hair goals and it didn't take me long to find the right one for me. On the website they have description on their products and what numbers do the best for you. This can lead you do find the type of hair care your hair needs. I'm a bright blonde so it is tricky to find the right products to keep that color. Olaplex doesn't make my color last any less. So for people who have colored hair and worry about it this is for you. Before the using this line my hair color only lasted about 3 weeks. This is such a fast fade. After using the products my hair has kept up with the color and had lasted longer than 3 weeks. I consistently use their purple shampoo once a week.Other shampoos and conditioners fade my bright blonde hair. This was so frustrating because then I would have to go back for so many more appointments then I needed. Olaplex keeps my hair bright blonde and maintains it. Although they are expensive and come in medium sized bottles I think they are still worth it. The shampoo and conditioner are 30 dollars each. This isn't so bad because you get away with using just little blobs that goes a long way. The shampoo is number 4 and the conditioner is number 5. The next product I use is the number 8 bond intense moisture mask. This mask sits in my damp hair for 10 mins. After that I go back in with my shampoo and conditioner. This makes my hair styleable and has more body. This keeps my hair shiny, smooth, and healthy. This product is also 30 dollars. I think this price might be a little much because it comes in a smaller bottle. But in the end process it is giving you what you are looking for. I usually use this hair mask once a week. I try to use it at the beginning of the week to get it prepped for the week full of styling. The next product I use is the bonding oil. This product is made for dry or wet hair. It is a heat protectant, detangler, enhances shine, and reduces frizz. For me this product met all the criteria. The bonding oil number is 7. The smell of this product is great. I mainly use this product when I get out of the shower to help detangle my hair and keep the frizz away for the morning. This keeps me waking up with my hair staying shiny. I also use it when I'm about to style my hair when it is dry. I only put it on my ends and then I continue to style my hair and apply heat. Now this product is also 30 dollars. I think this one is way overpriced because it is a super tiny container. Especially if you use it every single night. My hair before has been rough. Split ends after split ends, dry hair, and washing it constantly. My hair has always had terrible split ends and it was so hard for me to figure out why. After trying so many different products I finally feel like I found what helps me the most. Since I get my hair dyed and style it so often it does go through a lot of damage. Continuing sports as well makes it hard for me to not wash it as much so it doesn't get as dry. Bur after finding what I needed this is perfect. But overall I think the brand is perfect for people who need this type of hair care. It is also great because their line is made for every hair type, it just depends on the condition of your hair.madison

I bought this for my wife and she use this with the No.0, No.3 and the No.4 I must say the combo of these products together is amazing. Her hair was pretty much destroyed frome excessive styling, blow drying and box dyes. We could totally tell a difference after just one use of these products. Her hair looks healthier, has more shine and manageability, doesn't look as damaged, she isn't yanking out knots when she wakes up and brushes her hair plus it has so much softness and looks smooth not frizzy. It seems like the texture, strength, and even the way her hair is laying is totally changing. The smells not over powering which is something we both love because sometimes hair fragrances clash with perfumes but not Olaplex it's perfectly balanced. Unlike a lot of conditioners it doesn't take a lot to cover your hair and even though the bottles aren't the biggest which was kind of a let down the magic that comes out of those bottles can't be beat and it's so worth it! I’ve been having issues with thinning and breakage for a couple of years now and it really does seem like I’ve tried almost everything. I kept my expectations low but since a lot of friends have used and liked Olaplex I decided that it would be worth it to try and so far it has been. Obviously it can’t cure thinning due to stress/genetics but the texture of my hair has approved tenfold since I started using the No 0, 3,4,and5. Since my hair is quite fine and thin I use the bond building treatment and hair perfecter 1-2 times a week for the past month. Honestly I am stunned at the results. Since it’s not a permanent fix but a treatment, you do have to continue using it. I did read somewhere that there’s no way for it to permanently fix your already damaged hair but it can definitely treat it while the damage grows out. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, there’s no apparent residue, and it felt healthier and looked healthier after only the first try and has consistently improved since. I’ve tried so many products that just seem to sit on top of my hair and reflect light instead of actually improving anything texturally. I was also stunned at the quality of the product, not just in effect but a little really does go a long way in each one of my products. It smells and feels amazing. I could clearly go on. I’m just so pleasantly stunned! I had read some very negative reviews and was prepared to just take a chance and I’m thrilled and impressed with the results. Pantene Miracle Rescue is a replacement for the Pantene 3 Minute Miracle, which was an excellent conditioner that sold for only four bucks. Sadly it was discontinued and replaced with this conditioner. Miracle Rescue is not quite as good as the 3 Minute Miracle, but it still works well. It starts to work as soon as you put it on and washes out well. The scent is fine, but not a favorite of mine. The big problem with it is that it gets heavy on your hair past the day mark, and can eventually make your hair feel a bit waxy. It also costs over twice the price of the 3 Minute Miracle. However, if you can get it for half off or more, then it is a good choice for a conditioner.iHerb Customer

I tried this product and received a full rebate in exchange for my honest opinion. I tried the Pantene Miracle Rescue last week thanks to Shopper Army. With the temperatures soaring, the heat really had taken a toll on my hair, so the Pantene deep conditioning treatment was a welcome change to my hair care routine. I used it three times in the last week as I loved the result the first time. I used my regular shampoo for my hair and then applied the conditioning treatment to the tips of my hair and towards the roots as directed. I gently massaged product into my hair and left it on for 2 mins and then rinsed it off with lukewarm water. I have long hair below shoulder length and it's colored as well so this product worked well even with my long hair. I usually like to use a little shampoo to wash my hair again so the product doesn't turn my hair greasy but this step was not required as the Pantene Miracle Rescue is so lightweight and leaves hair feeling silky, easy to comb and dry. I love this about the product so I thought let me try it two more times before actually giving a review worked even better the next time and left my hair looking shiny and hydrated so I am happy to recommend this product to anyone who has dry, frizzy hair which needs some care and treatment.Antonia1977

I live in a relatively humid climate and yet that still doesn't seem to be enough! When I tried the Pantene Pro V Miracle Rescue Deep Conditioning Treatment, that I was generously provided in return to provide a very honest review, I agreed. Not only do I have colour treated hair, I have to wash my hair every day for my profession and naturally really curly! I used a good amount for my first try and worked it threw my hair down to the ends. I could tell by the texture and the feel of my hair under the water after 3 plus minutes, that it already felt silky smooth, hydrated and not "scratchy, brittle etc". I've tried some deep conditioning treatments and they feel great until everything rinses right out of your hair! Not, Pantene Pro V Miracle Rescue Deep Conditioning Treatment! It maintained its "just quenched look" with no weigh down when it dried. If I were to compare this to a skin product it would be more like a mask to ultimately hydrate. You know how the CGM tells you to condition until your hair feels like seaweed? Well after a year of wearing my hair natural I finally know what that feels like. This conditioner is amazing. The slip! It detangles like a boss. You need way less than you think, especially if you are used to using gobs of conditioner. My curls are bouncy and not a bit of frizz. This is a great product for curly hair! I have semi thin hair so I don’t need a ton of it to do the trick. The biggest thing is to make sure you have DRIPPING wet hair before you apply to get the maximum benefit of the product. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse out! The story is a familiar one. Ive done I use that word with generosity my own hair since the pandemic. I used to get protein treatments regularly to keep my fragile long thin hair in good shape. They worked. I tried everything to keep my ends healthy but, of course, the promises on the box or bottle did not come true at all. I really messed my hair up something awful when I dyed my hair a crazy color then used hair remover "out of a box." I'm in my 40s, and my hair can't "bounce back" like it used to. I tried everything to repair it; salon and drugstore brands. Treatments, conditioners, and masks. Even though Kiehl's isn't traditionally known as a hair care company, I like their other products, and this wasn't super expensive, so I figured I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did! Now, the product doesn't smell great- it smells like olive oil. Like you'd cook with. That's a good sign, I figured: means it actually has olive fruit oil in it like the jar says! (Don't worry, once you put your after-wash product[s] in it, and blow it out, there's no trace of smell.) And you certainly get a generous sized jar for what you pay for. Well, boy, this stuff is awesome. I put a gunk in my hair and waited a few minutes, then ran my fingers through it to detangle it- it detangled so easily, it was ready for the comb! Unfortunately, there are no instructions on the jar, so I left it on in the shower for about 5 minutes (luckily, there are instructions here on the website below). The next time I used it, I could run my comb through it immediately (!) then tied it up to process for ~5 minutes before rinsing. I've used it weekly 2x so far and have noticed a HUGE difference in the resilience and breakage of my hair. Listen. I’m a first time mommy trying to figure out life and got no time for hair masks even though it has been bleached and thinning from postpartum. BUT THIS MASK. I bought it on a whim bc I was desperate and boyyyyyy do I make time to use this. I don’t care that I inconveniently have to go back and rinse it after washing my hair already (I liked the Olaplex no. 3 bc you just put it in 10 minutes before you shower) but it’s sooooo so good. I can never go back. I have long fine hair that gets extremely knotted any time I go out in the wind. In an effort to avoid breaking when I brush it, I finger detangle in the shower. I used to just use conditioner for that, but there were still a bunch of stubborn knots. This product makes it easy!! And it leaves my hair silky and extremely soft. I recommended it to a friend who had very dry hair from bleaching and hers looks noticeably better now too. This product is like magic! The one drawback is that while avocado oil (which is in the product) is great for my hair, it does make me break out, so I have to be careful not to get it on my face and wash my back after use. But my skin is really sensitive – so if you can use avocado oil, this shouldn’t be an issue for you. I still think it’s worth it for amazingly healthy hair.whitphi94

So I want to start by saying I live in the desert and have super thin dry hair, so I was SUPER excited to try this product (I used all four products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave in condition together). I used all four products for this account: At first I was only going to give this a 3 because on day one of hair being washed, I feel like my hair still ends of feeling and looking really dry (especially the tips – see photos). BUT day two my hair looked/felt better, and day three my EVEN better! I showered all three days, it only used the products the first day, so you can see the progress of how my hair softened, my curls came out, AND I LOVED how my hair felt day 3/4. Normally with silicone products day 3 I HAVE to wash my hair again because the product is so heavy at my roots, whereas I LOVED how these products made my hair feel several days later. I still took off a star because of how dry my hair feels on day one. I have to suffer through one day of my hair bit feeling so great to get to better hair days, and I don’t really love that aspect. But overall I would definitely recommend to others. Perhaps slightly ticker hair wouldn’t have as much problem on day one – mine is just so very thin.rebecca.d

This was a lovely surprise to trial. I have used many deep treatments since colouring my hair and this is definitely a favourite. I love the packaging and how eco friendly it is. Another excellent part of the packaging is being able to squeeze the last few drops of of the pouch- AMAZING! No wastage! When using this I loved the added hydrating benefits of plant-based emollients, the strengthening aloe and spirulina extracts too. They did everything I wanted by leaving my hair feeling strong, soft and manageable EVERY SINGLE TIME. The price point is reasonable in my opinion as this is such a nourishing product and I love how my hair looks and feels after using it. I was super excited about this Vox Box! I have extremely dry and damaged hair from a few too many bleaches too close together to go from magenta to bright turquoise colored hair in a short period of time! The ingredients are ingredients. I'm not one who is super concerned with ingredients; I'm more of a "does it work?" kind of person. The smell of the treatment is similar to the conditioner but not as strong with floral perfume notes. The consistency is exactly what I expected it to be and was like a slightly thicker conditioner. I really liked the pouch it was in! I feel like it fit nicely in-between my other bottles. A little bit went a long way when applying. I would do my hair first so that the deep treatment would have as much time as possible. Immediately after the treatment, my hair was much softer and had fewer flyaways than on days without the treatment. The instructions are to use it once a week but I used it every 5 days or so. This is definitely a product I would recommend and will probably be buying myself for future use!kierston.b

I have low porosity 2B with fine strands, but a lot of hair. I typically leave this on for 30 min under a cap. Pros: made hair feel incredibly soft and manageable after rinsing out. Seemed to help with brittleness and strengthening the hair. Scent is delicious, exactly like a vanilla-mint cake batter. Cons: Not as moisturizing as I expected, still needed to add a lot of leave in after rinsing out. I would guess it’s maybe more moisturizing for high porosity. I would probably still buy it again but the Raw Sugar curl mask is my holy grail, and half the price.Jo

I like this conditioner. Leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth. I don’t have extremely curly hair but it does define my waves to make them appear more curlier. I however don’t think the price and the amount you get is justifiable since other products of this same size go for $8-10. If it was $10 cheaper than I’d give 5 stars. But $20 for both shampoo and conditioner adds up and almost seems a bit steep for something that doesn’t exactly do anything differently than other products I’ve used. Thankfully I’ve got shorter hair so I don’t ever feel like I’m using a lot of this product. I have funny curls – my hair grows in almost straight, but then waves, and once a year I get an all over perm. I've tried almost literally everything. It seems I no sooner find a product line I like, and my hair no longer likes it. However, I noticed from the get-go that my hair felt amazing with all of the Rizo's products. The conditioner is a DREAM, the shampoo so far is not stripping or drying out my hair (others say they won't – but they do), it's not messing with my color (I also color my hair about every 5-7 weeks), and the leave in conditioner just keeps the softness in all day without weighing my hair down or letting it frizz. I bought this at the recommendation of my colorist, and if a professional recommended it, you know it's good. At first I was hesitant to replace the conditioner that I've been using for the last 3 years – I regularly get my hair bleached and toned to silver (from naturally black hair) so aftercare is extremely important. I have a pretty strict hair regimen that I follow to keep my hair moisturized, and tangle and split end free. This conditioner went beyond my expectations. It is ultra hydrating, smells great (it has a citrus scent), and more importantly the results last. When I apply it to my hair, it immediately makes it slick and easy to detangle with my fingers. I then leave it on for 3-5 minutes and do the rest of my shower routine. After my shower, my hair is soft and easy to brush through. What's even more surprising is that my hair actually retains the moisture from this conditioner over time. I only wash my hair 2-3x a week and normally it starts feeling dry on the second or third day and I need to use hair oil, but with this conditioner my hair has continued to be manageable and hydrated even after time has passed. This stuff is absolutely amazing. I've used entire tubs of 60 dollar hair masks, 30 dollar conditioners for 4 ounces, and many conditioners at or around the price point of this conditioner for less ounces. This conditioner is 28 USD for 8 oz. I spent years basically torturing my hair. I dyed it weekly and bleached it often constantly putting color in and bleaching it out. I used ethnic hair relaxers that literally melted my hair because of the lye. So the last 3 years i did highlights or lowlights twice a year if that. I washed my hair the day after my roots got too oily to manage which was every 4 to 6 days. But I have extremely thick and curly hair that I blow dry and flat iron on wash day and flat iron or curl or crimp on every day in between. There was nothing i could do about that as I hate my curls more than the damage and the curl pattern was beyond broken anyway from the years of flat ironing daily. Despite all of the conditioning treatments, heat protectants, smoothing treatments, and styling products used my hair had a ton of breakage and split ends and when I washed my hair it knotted up and without two rounds of a lot of conditioner there would be no coming back from it. Idk why this was as I trimmed my hair and did everything right but nothing changed. That is until now. 1 week and 3 uses later my hair was not knotted in the shower and after one use it was shiny and actually healthy looking. It was and continues to be amazing. I had to share my review of this shampoo and conditioner after years of searching for a great product. A little background info, I have highlighted my hair (which I'd describe as straight, fine and definitely on the oily side around my forehead) for decades – I am 44 now and dry, brittle hair became a regular thing for me once I reached my 40's. Every time one shampoo/conditioner ran out, I tried another because nothing was worth a repurchase and the breakage continued. I've also tried many treatments and masks, from high-end to low, but just never found "the one". The Recovery set wasn't something I found, it was something my stylist used on me on my last two highlight sessions. I honestly bought it for the smell most of all, because it would last a couple of days, and figured it was worth a shot for the other benefits. I have been using the Recovery shampoo and conditioner for two weeks now and truly am amazed at the difference in my hair. I'm not expecting miracles after what I have put my hair through but this is the first time…ever…I can recall feeling my hair and thinking "wow, that is REALLY soft". I've never actually used "bed head tigi" hair products before but I hands down will be using it from now on. Lately because of my depression, my hair had been a little, well, forgotten about. As a result, it's not in its best condition. UNTILL NOW. After the very first wash with the conditioner, I got amazing results. A little amount goes a long way and gives full coverage. Once on my hair, I like to brush the conditioner through to make sure it gets right to the root. With a lot of conditioners, the act of massaging it into my hair causes awful knots. Since using TiGi, this hasn't happened once, It also smells BEAUTIFUL! The feel of my hair after it's been blow dried is literally amazing. *I received this product as part of a voxbox* My Hair type: fine, long, quite dry hair – due to bleaching it every 8 weeks or so So far I am really impressed with this conditioner. It smells beautiful – and continues to make hair smell lovely for days after use. It is a really nice formula – creamy, luxurious and a little goes a long way! I like to apply to hair after shampooing and then leave on for 5-10 mins (a bit like a hair mask) and it works wonders! So far I have found it makes hair easy to comb before drying and once I’ve dried and styled my hair it looks soft, shiny and doesn’t get knotty. I usually use salon exclusive hair brands but honestly I am won over by this. I really feel this is perfect for my hair type. I had blond balayage done to my hair and that damaged it. I read the reviews about this product, most good and a mixture of bad. When I saw the bad reviews talking about hair snapping off, I thought it was just due to the persons hair being so damaged and thought I'd give it a try. Well my hair started snapping off, every single day, some pieces long and ranging to tiny specks of hair. I have had my hair damaged horribly in the past to the point it took forever to dry and leaving burnt coarse ends. My hair did have a few areas of burnt ends but not as severe as previous experiences. So I kept using the treatment products and it kept raining pieces of my hair throughout the day. I've never had this happen even with extremely damaged hair. Sure pieces broke off but nothing like this. When the pieces snapped initially I thought it was due to the damaged ends. But then it never stopped. Smooth bits about a quarter inch kept shedding off. I couldn't wear dark shirts without constantly wiping hair bits off of it. After about a month I believed the reviews and stopped using the products. My hair slowly started snapping off less and less but I'm not sure if it was because the majority was already gone. So now my hair is varied lengths and extremely thinned out due to the different lengths it broke off. I'm not saying this product isn't good or bad because a lot of people love it but I strongly suggest not using this product if you have bleach damage without consulting your hair stylist first or having a treatment of some type done professionally. Before getting my hair to the shade it is now, I had several appointments slowly lightening my hair over roughly 6 months with hair treatments in between to maintain the health. I will never use this product again. And the snapping people comment about is real and with extreme hair thinning.Lisa R

I was someone who used to think that nothing could actually repair the bonds of your hair from the inside, especially because it went against everything I ever learned in cosmetology school, but that was 30 years ago and technology has changed, the proof is in the chemistry. I completely clarified my hair and then started using only Olaplex products exclusively. I used the entire line as recommended for damaged hair for 4 months, including number one in my hair color touch ups, and now I am a firm believer that it really does repair bonds as they claim because there is no other explanation for the positive change in my mid back length, color treated, and highlighted hair. I went from dull hair that was always tangled and broke so easily, to much healthier, shiny, soft, full hair. Despite having a lot of hair, it's very fine and before Olaplex, I could never achieve fullness without using a ton of product which was counterproductive. Usually conditioners, treatments, and masks, would weigh my hair down, but not Olaplex, it gives me the natural fullness I want without any styling product or weighing my hair down. And their purple shampoo, I can't say enough good things about it either! It is super concentrated so you need only the tiniest bit for the best results and the fact that the other products help color last longer, you don't need to use it as often as other toning shampoos, but when they say leave it on no more than two minutes, they mean it! If you use too much or leave it in too long, it will tint your hair rather than just tone it. The only Olaplaex product I don't use is the oil. Other than that, they would have to pry Olaplex from my hands. I highly recommend the entire line and starting with completely clarified hair prior to starting and use Olaplex exclusively for a few months to achieve the best results. I love this stuff! It works really well on my hair, which is thick, on the course side and processed with highlights, so deep conditioning is very important to me! The real magic happens when leaving it on for the longest duration per the instructions, which is 5 minutes. Of course this depends on your hair type, so some might need less time to condition. The smell is wonderful and so refreshing! I really like the fact that it does not have a hefty price tag, which goes to show you can have healthy hair without spending an arm and leg! I’ve used OGX many times because I am obsessed with the scents they offer. I’ve loved the ocean minerals set and also the coconut milk ones. I got this conditioner as a Christmas gift as well as the shampoo, and after three days of usage I noticed that my hair felt dry and my scalp was sore and itchy like it had been chemically burned. This type doesn’t have a yummy smell like their other coconut products, it smells like a strong perfume which I hated. After a few days of using something else, my hair and scalp healed. I have the most damaged, most processed hair and it’s extremely matted. I bought olaplex shampoo for 30$ and my hair got worse? oh my god wanted to cry every single day. Let me start by saying my hair has no dye or product in it so this product review is based on natural hair response. This is an impressive conditioner from Redken, geared toward length and strength. If those are two hair qualities you are seeking for yourself, then this is the hair line for you! Firstly, I love that this product has such a payoff, for so little a price to pay. I’ve tried conditioner from all price ranges, including the very expensive raved about MLM type brands. This Redken lengthen and strengthen beats that easily! This shampoo left my hair feeling quenched BUT not oily or heavy, which has been a huge problem for me. Most conditioner weigh my hair down and make it look too shiny. My hair feels fresh and bouncy, I’ve noticed significant improvements with the movement and structure of my curls. The biggest payoff for me is that this product has helped my curls stay structured longer!! Previously my hair would dry curly and cute, but the curls would immediately fall or frizz out with a day/ponytail/sleeping. Not with Redken lengthen and strengthen though! I cannot believe how helpful this has been. I genuinely did not have any expectation of huge payoff and boy was I impressed! I've always had long, wavy hair, and despite being magical mermaid hair, it is surprisingly temperamental, so for YEARS I've been on the lookout for my "perfect" conditioner! I feel like this one, is the closest I've come to finding the perfect conditioner! It has a fairly pleasant smell (not fruity… I can't quite place it… it's almost a vanilla? But with some other perfume on top). If you're sensitive to scents, definitely use the conditioner sparingly (it surprisingly goes a LONG WAY, so definitely use a little at a time!) I was afraid at first that it wasn't going to do my hair well, since my hair incredibly dramatic. After every use, my hair has felt luxurious! It feels like theres a coating over my hair, which at first felt weird, but its been protective of each strand, and my hair has looked really nice in photos! This product is not a miracle, cure-all mask. It does what it claims and hydrates. Which helps with frizz, and makes hair managable and smooth. It's not the best mask I've ever used but it does it's job. With this mask, for it to be at all effective, you have to follow directions and use at the very least 5 – 10 minutes. I personally leave it on for an hour. When first first opening this mask, you get hit in the face with a rose scent. After having the product for a few weeks, the smell dissipates into a more gentle scent, which I prefer, though it still lasts on the hair long after washing. Will I repurchase this mask? No. Will I use up the rest of the tub? Oh, yeah. It makes for a luxurious shower time. I received this haircare free from Influenster and Ouai in exchange for my honest review . The Thick Hair Treatment Masque is a treat to use. It has a light scent that isn't overwhelming, leaves my hair softened within only a few minutes, and rinses out clean. It isn't extremely deep conditioning, but the plus side is that it doesn't get greasy or weigh down my straight but thick hair. I might try to even use a little as a leave in conditioner. The tub feels luxe, but it's annoying to have to dip wet fingers into an open tub of cream while in the shower. A tube or pump might have been easier to use. I am in love with the scent of this Ouai masque! The fragrance is a light rose and lychee scent. Is this what rich people smell like?! The first time I used this, I instantly knew I was going to love it because I could run my fingers through my hair in the shower. I applied a quarter-sized amount (which was plenty) and rinsed it out with cool water. The comb glided right through and I even felt like my hair dried faster. Since I have fine hair, it is really important that products I use do not add weight and this one definitely does not! After drying, my hair was super smooth, silky, and so shiny! The best part – there were ZERO tangles in my hair the next morning! This lasted the entire day and even until the next morning! This Ouai Treatment Masque is spendy but I’ll continue using it – totally worth it!imdevong

I need a haircut right now, so my 3b curls are looser than usual. Usually, I have a fairly tight spiral curl throughout, but my hair is overall fine. I need something to hold my curls together without frizz to keep the curls intact. I keep my hair long, but I need the dead ends trimmed. I don't regularly use a hair masking product, but I got this in an Allure box for this February. After one use, my hair was shiny, and my curls were tighter than they've been in months. It felt like I had a trim at the salon. My hair was very soft and bouncy, even with my usual styling products. My curls still held well despite how soft this product made my hair. I am very happy with the results and will use it again. The smell is pleasant but doesn't linger over my other styling products as well. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review from Briogeo and Octoly. I was excited to try Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair deep conditioning hair mask. I have blonde highlighted hair that is very long and heat styled and I also have some hair extensions currently so moisturizing products as well as sulfate products with no sulfate in them are important to me. I have used Briogeo products before and been pleased with the results. Overall I would say my results were average. I used the product twice, so maybe since it was you need to use it three times before you get two times stronger hair I would need to get one more use to get there? I liked that it felt thick going on my hair, not too watered down. But I did not care or the smell, it was actually slightly unpleasant to me, I could not put my finger on it. I normally use Olaplex as my conditioner and I like a conditioner that does not weigh my hair down and allows my hair to hold a style this one did that not as well as olaplex but better than most products do. I will continue to use it and see if my hair improves. Overall I think it’s a good product but it may be just a bit heavy for someone with flat thinner hair.lisa.z
