I have low porosity 2B with fine strands, but a lot of hair. I typically leave this on for 30 min under a cap. Pros: made hair feel incredibly soft and manageable after rinsing out. Seemed to help with brittleness and strengthening the hair. Scent is delicious, exactly like a vanilla-mint cake batter. Cons: Not as moisturizing as I expected, still needed to add a lot of leave in after rinsing out. I would guess it’s maybe more moisturizing for high porosity. This is the first Camille Rose product that I have tried that I didn't like. All of the others so far have been amazing, but for whatever reason this deep conditioner left my 4a high porosity hair feeling drier and more like straw than before I used it. It is a very thick consistency, which I usually like. It seemed like it never fully sank into/was absorbed by my hair and after leaving it to sit for about an hour I could still see it sitting on top of my hair. It is also quite expensive so unfortunately I can't recommend this one.

It took a bit of convincing from my colorist to get me to try this mask. I had only tried Moroccan oil previously and noticed that it left a weird yellow tint to my hair overtime. My hair colorist recommended this to me because my hair didn't need anymore protein/keratin but does in desperate need for moisture. I didn't know this before but I guess if your hair is strong and doesn't break easily but just looks dull and dry, then that is when you steer away from the protein/keratin products and look to moisture products. I was advised by my colorist to use this in place of a conditioner and even leave it in and air dry my hair. I wanted to dislike it because of the price but I have to admit that I had great, shiny hair. It looks like I came out of a salon. I would shampoo with any product, ring out water, apply this to my hair with the exception of roots and then twist it on top of my head and throw it into a tight bun. Then, I just let it dry. In regards to the hydration hair mask it was great for my hair and made it very shiny! My hair dresser recommended the restorative one would be better for me. I love John freida and have many of their products in my bathroom, for anyone who hasn’t tried this brand I recommend you do, it’s a great brand for controlling frizz. I have thick hair and like to use this mask one a week for hydration. It contains avocado oil to feed and nourish my hair and leaves my hair really shiny and soft. It’s a great price and lasts for ages. It’s so simple to use, I keep it in the shower and after shampooing and rinsing I apply this to my hair and concentrate on the ends then leave for five minutes. It makes my hair really easy to style and free of frizz, my hair is sleek and smooth and hydrated when iv used this. It smells great and has a creamy consistency though when it’s all rinsed out it never weights my hair down, my hair is bouncy and looks like it’s been professionally done. I can’t live without using this once a week to keep my hair in great condition and I will keep buying it

Have been using this shampoo for years but it seems to have been reformulated. The name of the shampoo ‘miraculous recovery’ is the same, but the bottle now has a golden swirl on it. I thought it was just packaging redesign but the product itself is very different. Smells totally different, and leaves hair flat and lifeless. I bought the large size as it’s the shampoo I usually use. Straight in the bin and won’t repurchase. Very annoyed as thought I was buying the usual product… really think there should be clear label to indicate new fragrance and new formulation.MrsB

I have use on my wavy to curly hair and my daughters mixed 4b hair and let me tell you, our hair is sooo moisturized and soft to the touch. It smells good and it’s a pretty decent size bottle for the price. Don’t let the “mens”, description fool you ok! My other half got the chance to try out this men’s deep hair conditioner recently. The consistency is a thicker conditioner. It was used after shampooing his hair. He applied enough for his length of hair and let it sit for a couple minutes. Than he rinses it out. His hair is more manageable and soft feeling. It does a good job at moisturizing the hair. I usually use a combination of Mielle products for my granddaughter but this time I decided on Moisture RX products only due to being the change of seasons and her hair being a little more dry than normal. So I want to start by saying I live in the desert and have super thin dry hair, so I was SUPER excited to try this product (I used all four products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave in condition together). I used all four products for this account: At first I was only going to give this a 3 because on day one of hair being washed, I feel like my hair still ends of feeling and looking really dry (especially the tips – see photos). BUT day two my hair looked/felt better, and day three my EVEN better! I showered all three days, it only used the products the first day, so you can see the progress of how my hair softened, my curls came out, AND I LOVED how my hair felt day 3/4. Normally with silicone products day 3 I HAVE to wash my hair again because the product is so heavy at my roots, whereas I LOVED how these products made my hair feel several days later. I still took off a star because of how dry my hair feels on day one. I have to suffer through one day of my hair bit feeling so great to get to better hair days, and I don’t really love that aspect. But overall I would definitely recommend to others. Perhaps slightly ticker hair wouldn’t have as much problem on day one – mine is just so very thin.rebecca.d
This was a lovely surprise to trial. I have used many deep treatments since colouring my hair and this is definitely a favourite. I love the packaging and how eco friendly it is. Another excellent part of the packaging is being able to squeeze the last few drops of of the pouch- AMAZING! No wastage! When using this I loved the added hydrating benefits of plant-based emollients, the strengthening aloe and spirulina extracts too. They did everything I wanted by leaving my hair feeling strong, soft and manageable EVERY SINGLE TIME. I was super excited about this Vox Box! I have extremely dry and damaged hair from a few too many bleaches too close together to go from magenta to bright turquoise colored hair in a short period of time! The ingredients are ingredients. I'm not one who is super concerned with ingredients; I'm more of a "does it work?" kind of person. The smell of the treatment is similar to the conditioner but not as strong with floral perfume notes. The consistency is exactly what I expected it to be and was like a slightly thicker conditioner. I really liked the pouch it was in! I feel like it fit nicely in-between my other bottles. A little bit went a long way when applying. I would do my hair first so that the deep treatment would have as much time as possible. Immediately after the treatment, my hair was much softer and had fewer flyaways than on days without the treatment. The instructions are to use it once a week but I used it every 5 days or so. I like this conditioner. Leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth. I don’t have extremely curly hair but it does define my waves to make them appear more curlier. I however don’t think the price and the amount you get is justifiable since other products of this same size go for $8-10. If it was $10 cheaper than I’d give 5 stars. But $20 for both shampoo and conditioner adds up and almost seems a bit steep for something that doesn’t exactly do anything differently than other products I’ve used. Thankfully I’ve got shorter hair so I don’t ever feel like I’m using a lot of this product. if it makes your hair feel like straw. you have protein overload, a buildup of protein on your hair. Adding this protein rich product, which works great on hair like mine that needs it, will make your hair feel dry, dull and brittle. if this happens to you, look up how to treat it but basically, cut all protein containing products from your routine and focus on clarifying and moisture for a few months and then keep it balanced. (I think the blue hydro creme one might be protein free but check first, I know its more focused on moisture and has hyaluronic acid in it.) I absolutely love this and the hydro creme. they work great for me and my wavy with ringlets, fine bleached blonde and coarse grey, high porosity, dry, damaged hair. my hair needs protein and the bond repair salve, these deep conditioners and the hold me softly balm have saved my hair, can't wait to try more products.snikic
I have a mix of 3c and 4a high porosity hair. This is the first time i used a curlsmith product, but from the first use i could tell that this is a really good deep conditioner. The scent is light and pretty and the moisture that it gave my hair was amazing. It left my hair feeling very soft which was surprising. it is thick, but it still offers some slip. I love love love this product and I have only used it once. It defines my curls and leaves my hair soft without the crunch. I have used other Styling custards and curl refiners that have left that icky feeling and hard crunch in my hair. This product smells fantastic even before you open it. It has a jellie like consistency. A little bit goes a long way. I would definitely recommend applying this on damp to slightly wet hair, not dry hair for best results. If I could add a photo I would. I have a twa- teeny weeny Afro. I would definitely recommend. I purchased a couple packets of this after loving their Keratin mask. I haven’t noticed much improvement in how my hair feels after using it. Usually after using any kind of conditioning hair mask, my hair is super smooth and easy to detangle… nope. Even using my tangle teezer after using this, my hair was very tangled and not very soft. Hask brand has become a staple in my hair care regimen! My hair is sensitive, thin, bleached for blonde, and very fine. Argan oil was something I always swore by for treating damaged and frizzy hair, so when this line came out I immediately tried it! I combine this with the entire repair line shown in the photo! When I use conditioners I always let them soak in my hair for a while before brushing/rinsing out with a brush! I've noticed some reviewers say that their hair felt drier. My guess is that this is because this product contains more protein than your average deep conditioner. If your hair is already overloaded with protein or low porosity, this mask may not give you the best results. Try the shea butter mask or tea tree mask from this brand instead (if I'm remembering correctly both have heavier moisturizing ingredients and less protein). For my hair, this product has been excellent. My hair is 2B, color treated, and high porosity. It needs A LOT of protein. I've tried every mask from this brand and this is the one I reach for most often. It gives me a nice moisture boost without being so heavy that my hair is weighed down after. The conditioner is amazing. Perfect for my flaky itchy scalp since their is no perfume in it..it is like a paste semi clear with small beads in it which brings immediate result to a smooth and shiny hair. I have natural curly thin hair. My hair tends to get frizzy. I recently dyed the ends of my hair brownish blonde and by doing this I stripped my curls and my hair just had a stringy wrinkle to it and straighting it didn't help much so I needed something to bring my hair back to life. This is such a good dc. I don't know why it's not talked about more in the curly community. This is moisturizing without the weight. It has just the right amount/ combination of protein to help moisturize and spring up my waves. It has a super thick, whipped consistency that I was initially concerned about being that I have fine hair that over moisturizes and gets weighed down easily. I put this on after a clarifying wash with a couple of processing caps and it was sooo buttery and slippy when rinsing out. My hair did not lose structure or fall flat over the next few days. It also has an intoxicating scent that is not strong and dissipates quickly so no headache for anyone scent sensitive. It is literally the best I've tried.. will definitely be a staple for years to come. Please don't change anything about this! If you're on the fence about this, don't be! It us a little pricey, but it truly is such a great product! Well worth it! It's a great dc! I have 2a-c, fine strands, med porosity and density. Protein loving hair for reference.

So I decided to use products to help my hair since I’m desperate to grow my hair back to how it use to be but nothing has been working until my dad came across this product and had me try it out, and I only used it two times a week for 2 weeks and I already notice a different in my hair and that my hair is growing, I also have curly hair and my hair would get frizzy a lot so I’d always put it in fishtail braids but when I didn’t have a chance to I noticed my hair wasn’t so frizzy and it was silky. This is a fantastic deep conditioner! If you don't like thick deep conditioners or hair masks, this is not the product for you. What I loved most about this product was the fact that I could apply generously, but didn't use a lot. I have type 4, dry, low porosity hair, and needed a thick mask to use occasionally when my hair feels dry. After applying the product, I let it sit in my hair for about 30-45 minutes with a plastic cap and it did its thing. My hair was left moisturized and the mask was easy to wash out. The scent of the product is light when you open the jar, but once applying it, it does increase a bit. For some reason, it had a very masculine scent to me, but it wasn't too offputting. If your hair can tolerate coconut and thick masks, this is the product for you. My only recommendation is to avoid ordering it online and try to find the product in stores because the price is nearly double the amount than it should be.Sunny

This conditions hair as it's namesake suggests however this is not a rinse out conditioner. It's a leave in conditioner that really hydrates and softens/detangles hair! I use it as a leave in conditioner after washing, and as a curl/style refresher. I will apply it straight out of the bottle to condition my hair and I use it in a mister with distilled water as a refresher. It has the appearance of a gel, but when you rub it in, it has slip and is thicker than expected. Its like a emulsified hair gel cream as far as consistency that spreads easily on my hair and just melts. If applied heavily this can be sticky and dries leaving flakes or residue/white-ish cast – leaving the hair looking dull. This has slip but its not really emollient. Although I think that most, if not all hair types, can find some use for this, I do think it is GREAT if you have fine/limp hair. I know its a stretch for ethnic beauties to believe me especially when this product line is heavily aimed towards the non-ethnic market. For thicker, porous and/or more textured hair types, I recommend sealing this with an oil, cream or butter in order to lock in that moisture. I personally seal it with a butter, pudding or cream if I have time but I have worn it by itself. Even though, its not emoillent because its contains no oils, waxes or butters – it does leave a buttery/slippery texture to the hair that I suspect is from the glycerin content and pH balancing qualities which smoothes the hair strand. I just find that the moisture lasts longer when sealed and can offset any potential dullness when used excessively or over time. Ive used it alone for twist outs, paired up with a gel for a wash and go( didnt pill). Its really multi purpose. The smell is really a spa-like signature scent. Has a unisex cologne scent that is refreshing but not off-putting. Definitely synthetic but pleasant. It contains no protein nor any thermal protection qualities. so its just a general fuss-free conditioner.Breezy
I've been using this leave-in for almost 10 years (since my mid-20's) and I absolutely love it. I have long hair that comes down to about the small of my back, and although I have a lot of it it's pretty fine. Before using this leave in I used to know it was time for a hair cut because of the amount of split ends I had – my hair was like an indicator toothbrush; the bottom 2 inches would air-dry immediately after a shower and get weirdly fluffy because it was so split/dry. In the Canadian winter I would have a halo of constantly waving hair stands because of the dry air and static electricity, brushing it was a battle. As soon as I started using this all issues went away. No more static, brushing is ridiculously simple, and when I get into the hair dressers about once every 6 moths they're constantly surprised at how healthy my hair is (in particular because of how long it is and the almost complete lack of split ends). For as long as I can find it I will keep using this stuff. The extra bonus, which is also a major factor in my books, is that it's not scented. Especially relevant given the amount I have to use due to how much hair I have. I can use it without worrying that I'm going to smell like chemicals, flowers or baked goods. Because it has no scent it doesn't clash with all of the other things on my body that do (scent left over from shampoo as well as deodorant). I have thick strand, wavy, red, frizzy coarse hair.. and a lot of it. So it's basically dry feeling all the time. It often just shatters at the ends despite my best efforts and avoiding heat. This leave in, along with the Awapuhi has literally changed my hair. It's soft and manageable and sooooooooo healthy! My hairdresser asked if I'd gone somewhere else for a haircut between appointments because my ends looked so good. The length I gained was shocking(no more breakage, doesn't actually increase growth) I think the trick to avoid greasiness is to use a SMALL amount. My length is about mid shoulder, and thick.. I use slightly more than nickel size amount and rub it between my hands to emulsify until it turns white and looks like lotion. Apply a very quick small swipe to my crown/bangs where my frizz goes wild then work the rest through the length. My only complaint is the smell. It's not really pleasant, not bad. It reminds me of old men's aftershave smell or some sort of beauty products my grandmas used. Thankfully it fades very quickly and I never notice it during the day. I've been using this hair mask hoping to repair the damage I've done. I've used tools such as curling irons and I've used home hair colors and hairspray. I was looking for something good to repair the damage I've done. Since using Jousse mend I've noticed changes to my hair. It's not dry, it's showing more volume and it's not showing as much breakage. I apply it to my damp hair, combing it through, leaving it on for 5 minutes and then rinsing it thoroughly. Simple to use and well worth the price.
