I got this for a few hairs that are starting to sprout above my upper lip (don't get old, folks!). I purchased it because this was specifically 'for the face', and was worried about such a sensitive area. I would advised, especially for your first time , using this product to cut the time in half. The box said 5-7 minutes. After 4, the hair was already gone (still completely gone 2 weeks later with no signs of growing back yet), but I was still irritated. Slight redness that went away within the hour, and the next day a little skin dryness/flaking. Nothing major–it was remedied with a good face wash and some lotion. Next time I'll cut back to about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Now, keep in mind that I am VERY fair skinned, the hairs that were growing in were a dark blonde to light brown, and they were not thick–they were fine hairs. I did not need a very thick layer either, so I'd say this one tube of product is going to last me well over a year–I hope it has a LONG shelf life!

Hello,
I am a big fan of hair removal creams and have used Nair to great effect for some time. Unfortunately I decided to try this product as it caught my eye and lured me with its fancy packaging and appealing price. I read the directions and proceeded to apply the product as instructed, waited the desired amount of time, which was halfway between the minimum and maximum limits, and used the cute little spatula to scrape off the cream. What came off was not my hair, but rather my beliefs that anything could be less effective than a dull razor, which I had to use because my legs were still covered in a layer of mangled hair and disappointment. Not only did this product fail to remove my hair, but it took almost the whole bottle to even cover my legs with one layer. This product was the biggest waste of my time, effort and money that I have ever encountered, but it all might just be worth it to write this review and warn the thousands, perhaps even millions of unsuspecting consumers that may be inclined to make the same mistake that I did when I decided to buy this terrible product.

I've been using this product for about a year. Before I would use Sally Hansen. It works. It does miss a few spots especially in the upper lip. I do find that the hair growths a little faster compared to Sally Hansen especially in the beginning, however, if you keep using it once a week for a year, the hair growth does slow down. It does not smell as strong as other hair removal creams. There is less time required for the hair removal. The tube is really easy to get the cream out of. I like the moisturizer it comes with. It does not burn my sensitive skin especially if you leave it on an extra 2 minutes compared to Sally Hansen where my face would be super red and inflammed. Make sure to moisturize often, Glee does dry you out a little more. Negatives: The plastic hair removal tool SUCKS! I used it twice could never get it to quite work. Just use a damp cloth, it is much faster and works so much better. You will see actual results with a damp cloth versus the plastic crap. For the price, the tubes are a bit small. You can probably get about 3-4 uses, so it's not the most budget friendly. Mentioned it above, it tends to miss certain areas especially areas you really want to get rid of (for me always the upper lip) and the hair does growth back faster than others so I'd suggest trying it out for a month and seeing how it works for you, but I still recommend.migonz1990

ok so I've only tried this once. Used it on legs and bikini area. Left on the minimum time, as instructed. Hopped in shower. And nothing. Nothing came off!. And the little scraper? Very rough edges-felt as though it was scratching my legs. So i wasnt actually able to use it, but i did use a wash cloth. I will try once more and leave on max time-will update if there are changes. *I really like the thickness of this product. Love that there isn't a harsh smell. I bought this because time is short with a 1 year old in the house so trimming is not currently an option. Here’s the lowdown. It’s £9, stinks of rotting flesh. Tried shoulders, hips and feet. Of which the latter two – nothing happened. Shoulders were patchy – not even 1/3 came off. Apparently results only last 5-7. Which begs the question- why bother even if it did work? Okay, this is probably going to be a little bit of an embarrassing review. I feel that sometimes it's super important to do one of those every now and again. So I went online to look at YouTubers who have tried different hair removal creams. I have very coarse hair on my legs, armpits, and the nether regions. I came across this guy who uses this in his sensitive areas. He said that he also had coarse hair and that normally he gets bad ingrown hairs when he shaves down there. I thought, if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me. So I ordered mine online through Amazon and waited for it to come. When it finally came I ripped open the package, read the directions, and prepped myself for pure pain! I've tried nair down below and I thought my who-he was going to completely burn off! First thing I noticed that I liked is that it was a thicker formula so where I put it is where it stayed. Second thing, is the smell isn't their initially but as it starts burning the hair off, it's not the greatest smell. Most creams don't smell good and I'm okay with that. I first tried it for the minimum 3 minutes… That did nothing! Since I'm not a first time hair cream removal person, I knew to try it for a little bit longer and give it another shot. I waited 24 hours so I didn't have any reactions on my skin and the next day I put it on for about 4 minutes 30 seconds. I checked a small portion before fully removing it and I left it on for another 30 seconds. Apparently this is allowed to stay on for 6 minutes total. When I left it on for 5 minutes, It did amazing! I've been using it on all areas that have hair and it's done a great job for me! I always have ingrown hairs and so far, nothing! I'm going to continue to use this for the next couple months and see if I still feel the same way. I'm pretty happy about this, I also decided to try it on the rear end. So I've only had a chance to use this product once but I was pretty disappointed with it. I am of the many women in the world who has very dark hair everywhere. I've been getting pretty tired of shaving my face all the time so I thought perhaps I'd try this. I have sensitive skin so I decided to try it only on my upper lift first. I have very thick hair as well so I decided to leave it on for the maximum ten minutes they suggest. When I wiped it away it I was severely disappointed. It did get rid of the thin hairs but any thick hair (which is pretty much the whole thing) were still there. The cream smells like any hair removal product which means its unpleasant. The main positive I can give this is it didn't give me horrible irritation especially so after I used the after creme for soothing. I'd suggest this product for people with more thin hair.Andi

I used nearly the entire bottle to do my legs, and it didn't even come close to getting all the hair out. Also I used it on my chest and got a chemical burn (after like 6 minutes or so?) WITHOUT REMOVING THE HAIR. My chest might be a little bit more sensitive than others, but I literally bled and this product at best only trimmed my chest hair. Usually I don't have a problem using nair products on my legs however I gave their facial hair remover a try, just to get rid of peach fuzz that had been driving me nuts. The smell at first was like a baby lotion and was kinda nice but after it was applied to the skin it straight STUNK. 🤢 The package said to leave on for @ least 5mins but no more than 10. I set my phone timer for 5mins and when it went off Immediately wiped it as the package said. At this point the smell is rediculous but I have a new problem. I have a bumpy rash all over my face that looks terrible. Not putting makeup on it ATM as I don't want it to get worse. I won't be purchasing this again. I have always been blessed since a young teen with an extra amount of facial hair thanks to different health issues. This was one of the first products I used to get rid of it. At first, I definitely didn't listen to the directions and I left it on too long, practically burning my face. So I had to walk around looking like I had a "backwards Santa beard" on. I learned to not leave it on as long, but over time it's like my skin/hair has gotten used to this formula. For awhile I went through a phase where I waxed, but then the wax I used to became discontinued so back this I went. I use this once a week and still have to use tweezers every day for strays. I am a dark haired woman with incredibly fair skin. I can grow a mustache some teenage boys would ogle, and in the last few years have started to sprout some thick chin hairs. I’ve been using Nair’s face cream for several years now, and have never had a problem with its effectiveness. I would like to share a few tips and observations, however, that I have learned over time to get the most out of the cream. 1) Very corse, thick hairs are too protein rich for this product to work on. I have a few of these, and have chosen to simply pluck them from the root whenever they sprout up. 2) I use this product once a week, before taking a shower, for two reasons. The first is that longer hairs are more receptive to the chemicals in the cream, and there is a better chance of longer hair burning down to skin level than short. The second, and I know this will be frowned upon by some, is because a hot shower right after opens the pores, which helps me remove any leftover hair or skin on my face. I will use a washcloth with warm water and gently exfoliate the areas I’ve naired while in the shower as well. 3) A generous amount of this cream needs to be used for it to work effectively. The instructions do say to slather a thick layer over the hair in question, and this holds true. Make sure that it is covered by this product well enough that you can’t see it through the cream. Skimping out on using significant dollops will stop all of the hair from burning away, and can leave behind unwanted patches. 4) The instructions say to leave the cream on for five minutes- in my case, because I have a lot of hair and it’s thicker than peach fuzz, I need to wait ten to twelve minutes for the best result. I can assure, this does not, at least for me, cause any discomfort, burning, or chemical rash. I set a timer, wait for it to ring, and gently wipe away the cream with a washcloth before heading into the shower. This has worked, tried and true, for years. I think every woman (or man) is different, hair included. Experimenting with this product is a must to find what works best for each of you. I got this for a few hairs that are starting to sprout above my upper lip (don't get old, folks!). I purchased it because this was specifically 'for the face', and was worried about such a sensitive area. I would advised, especially for your first time , using this product to cut the time in half. The box said 5-7 minutes. After 4, the hair was already gone (still completely gone 2 weeks later with no signs of growing back yet), but I was still irritated. Slight redness that went away within the hour, and the next day a little skin dryness/flaking. Nothing major–it was remedied with a good face wash and some lotion. Next time I'll cut back to about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Now, keep in mind that I am VERY fair skinned, the hairs that were growing in were a dark blonde to light brown, and they were not thick–they were fine hairs. I did not need a very thick layer either, so I'd say this one tube of product is going to last me well over a year–I hope it has a LONG shelf life!

What can I say, this does exactly what it says it will. Took off ALL the hair and left me silky smooth. Top tip: I would recommend doing a patch test first, leaving it on for the max time (as long as you don't feel any irritation), but then wait a good 48 hours before you delve straight in and do the whole bush and undercarriage. I didn't and regretted it massively. I was on FIRE! My own silly fault though for going over the same area twice in 24 hours and lesson learnt! My only issue with this product is the smoothness doesn't last long enough for me, it's akin to shaving really. But while I was hairless, it was heaven! Plus with salons closed it really is the next best thing. Also I had no uncomfortable itching with regrowth like I have with shaving. So easy to apply, just whack it on, wait up to 6 mins then jump in the shower and wipe it off. I used a face cloth – now dedicated for my nether regions. I have taken one star off because the tube isn't very big. I'm not that hairy, but I think I will struggle to get three applications out of this so for the price its quite expensive, especially as I'd want to use it every 1 to 2 weeks to stay smooth. I popped this on the under carriage, left it , checked it and left it a little longer and washed it off. Yes, it has the usual hair remover smell but it is tempered somewhat by the soothing rose oil. Results are very good, smooth, no pain and good hair removal. Very small amount of stubble where I did not put it thick enough – but will get this next time. Easier and cheaper than waxing. I usually get waxed in a salon but was curious to try this as I can't at the moment and it was the first one I have seen that said it was suitable for a Hollywood style removal. I found it worked well for bikini / Brazilian areas but not so well for Hollywood where it didn't remove much. I was not keen to try reaplying in case of burning though. I do not have particularly sensitive skin and didn't have any major reactions to it but am quite stingy and a little sore afterwards in some places. It feels a bit too risky for me and seems very easy to really mess your skin up if using it regularly. Given these factors I don't think I will bother with it again and will stick to shaving until the salons are open. This is the best product for my skin and hair type. I have extremely dark hair and I have a fair complexion. I tried bleaching but it just turned my mustache into a blonde mustache. 😂 I’ve tried waxing but the skin on my face is way too sensitive for that. So this cream hair remover is what I use. There are two things that you need to do when using this product. One, spot test. I know most products say to spot test but it’s EXTREMELY important to do this so you know if you’re going to have a reaction and how long you should leave it on for. I literally JUST used mine and left it on for 30 seconds too long and I can feel my upper lip burning. And the second thing you need to do before using is check the expiration date. Once I did my normal routine and my face started burning so badly. I knew I didn’t leave it on too long so when I started checking around the bottle and packaging, I saw it was expired. It burned my face so badly that it actually scabbed! BUT if you follow the directions and check the date, it’s the best product I’ve been able to find to meet my needs. This product is my weekly go-to. I have naturally very fine hair on my face and body. Due to the sensitive nature of my skin, I choose not to remove the hair due to breakouts, general itchiness, and the unappealing regrowth aesthetic. I bleach the “peach-fuzz” on my face once a week using this product and it delivers! The downside is that this has an itchy and burning sensation, but the workaround I’ve found is to lightly prep and moisturize the skin with coconut oil! The smell is still strong, but my skin doesn’t feel as irritated. I also find that the hair is bleached to a more blonde color, so when wearing foundation or other face products – the hair can turn a bit “brassy”, but overall this is the product that has worked the best for me for 10 years.dana.r

With summer right around the corner having smooth and clean shaven skin is important to me, but I do not always feel like shaving. Normally I shave my legs but decided to give this a shot. I wanted to see if this really worked. I tried it on one arm and one leg, while I shaved the other arm and leg. On my arm, it worked really well. It took all the hair off and didn't leave any patches behind. Now on my leg, it didn't work as well. I had it on for about 8 minutes when I wiped it off and at first it felt like it took everything off but after a quick shower, I could feel it left a lot behind. I had to go back with a razer to get the stuff that was missed. I waited a few days and tried again and had the same results. It mostly took off the hair but there was still parts left. My hair isn't thick or anything and the second time I waited the full 10 minutes. Maybe it's just my luck but for my arms it worked. I do want to point out, that this stuff does not smell. The lavender scent is not strong, which I like. Overall, this stuff isn't bad but isn't great. If you have had luck with this before, than yeah this is a something that you need to get.JAZS

I am going to review this product because I didn’t find a review that I was looking for and I’m going to be very honest and straightforward. I used it as shaving cream when I first bought it because I’m stupid and didn’t realize what it was. This morning while I was showering, I read it and realize that it didn’t have the word shave on it… Odd. So I read it and realized what it was and decided on a whim that I would try it out. Just for reference, I haven’t shaved in about a week because I was on my period, and I figured that it wouldn’t remove everything completely but I decided to use it anyway. I put it on and made the mistake of spreading it a little too low… Keep it on your bikini area, it reallyyyy stings if you don’t. To my surprise I actually removed probably about 90% of my hair and I was extremely surprised, I didn’t smell the bad smell anybody else was, it was fine to me before during and after, nice even. And for the hair it does miss, it’s not very hard to remove it all, it just takes some time. I used a washcloth to do this, I have really nice towels. Each washrag I own is about $30 alone (just to show you that they are nice), and even with that it was still very rough on my skin and I do not recommend a washcloth. If I continue to use this product I might go out of my way to buy a specific group of cloths that are softer on the skin and more gentle to use more frequently. Maybe I had a bad bottle, but the straw inside (which pumps up the product) went less than half way down the bottle. I didn't notice this until the pump stopped working when the bottle was still over half full. I could tell from the shape of the straw at the end that it hadn't snapped so it was put in like that. now very very messy to get any product out so I just gave up and threw it away. I am a latina woc and have never been able to find a product like this that works for my thicker chin hair and let me tell you I am obsessed. It had been decades since I used hair remover product. I decided to try it again. It is advertised as 27% less chemical ingredients than the previous formula. Wow, this stuff is amazing. MUCH different than what I've tried years ago. This is a nice pump bottle and the cream comes out as cream. Not watery or seperated. Came out as cream. Even has a little cap to prevent an unwanted pump. The spong it came with makes so much sense. I sit over the side of my bath tub when using this. You totally don't have to, but I do. So first I apply cream to the yellow softer side of sponge and rub all over my legs. Then after 6 minutes I use the slightly rougher white side of sponge to wipe away. Upon first look the description on the bottle is very deceiving. It specifically says “in shower hair removal cream”. Reading that you would think you could use 100% in the shower. Because the product is wrapped in plastic to keep the sponge attached you can’t read the instructions until after purchase and opening. The instruction state that you apply before your shower and wait 3 minutes and than shower without a direct stream on product. I do like that it does actually work and the sponge is nice to get the product off of you good. It really does work well and leaves my legs soft. I get horrible razor burn on the inside of my upper legs and bikini line when shaving, so was excited to try this as a shaving alternative. Upon opening the product, I noticed that the smell was not as terrible as other products I have used. You apply the product with a little sponge the size of your palm. You have to make sure the hair you want to remove is completely covered, so just my entire upper legs seemed to take a lot of product. Once you apply, you have to leave it on for 6 – 10 minutes, so make time for this before your shower. Once you get in the shower, you are able to wipe the hair off with the same sponge. I applied this on leg hair that had been shaved 2 days prior, and it seemed to do a really spotty job. I ended up having to shave to catch the hairs that weren’t removed, so I was not super impressed with the end result. Maybe it is made for longer hair? On a positive note, my skin did not react to or burn when using this.lyssamae01

It has been years since I used a Hair product. I hated the smell and had concerns about chemicals I was applying to my skin. I decided to try again as I have sensitive skin. I went with this particular product so I wouldn't have to use my hands and hoping Aloe in this product would help with any sensitivity that may occur. I tested an area just like the directions said to do and found I needed to apply a little more than 3 minutes but my skin was not irritated. I put the came on while I let it sit a little longer and when I pulled of the cap some of the hair splattered onto my floor. Just to be safe I currently have the cap off so this won't happen again when I use it. I followed the directions again for applying and taking off hair and it worked perfectly. There were some areas that were missed somehow and applied to that area. Glad the smell wasn't too strong. The biggest thing I noticed after use is that my hair very noticeably started to grow back two days after. Just use to seeing it appear a couple of days after I shave. For that reason I would not purchase this particular product again. Need something where I don't have to apply every day.WorkPants

Back in the 1970s I was a teenager and Nair was THE ONLY THING that we used for hairy teenage legs. The stuff stank! My friend once shmeared some of it on her legs and then touched her closed eye by mistake and didn't have eyelashes or her right eyebrow for a whole month. So, I guess the stuff works. Flash forward to 2022 and I see this stuff on sale here at iHerb and I thought to myself, "Hey, it's been 50 years, they must have done something to make it smell better." They haven't. But it still works beautifully. And you know what, you have to have it on for 3 to 5 minutes, no longer than 10. I can live through that for the clear, hairless skin I want. Usually I don't have a problem using nair products on my legs however I gave their facial hair remover a try, just to get rid of peach fuzz that had been driving me nuts. The smell at first was like a baby lotion and was kinda nice but after it was applied to the skin it straight STUNK. 🤢 The package said to leave on for @ least 5mins but no more than 10. I set my phone timer for 5mins and when it went off Immediately wiped it as the package said. At this point the smell is rediculous but I have a new problem. I have a bumpy rash all over my face that looks terrible. Not putting makeup on it ATM as I don't want it to get worse. I won't be purchasing this again. It was a great concept but totally not worth the after math.

I have always been blessed since a young teen with an extra amount of facial hair thanks to different health issues. This was one of the first products I used to get rid of it. At first, I definitely didn't listen to the directions and I left it on too long, practically burning my face. So I had to walk around looking like I had a "backwards Santa beard" on. I learned to not leave it on as long, but over time it's like my skin/hair has gotten used to this formula. For awhile I went through a phase where I waxed, but then the wax I used to became discontinued so back this I went. I use this once a week and still have to use tweezers every day for strays. Hopefully your hair growth isnt as quick as a monkey, like mine, if so it's a fairly decent product as long as you don't leave it on too long or your skin isn't super sensitive.jennie.d

I am a dark haired woman with incredibly fair skin. I can grow a mustache some teenage boys would ogle, and in the last few years have started to sprout some thick chin hairs. I’ve been using Nair’s face cream for several years now, and have never had a problem with its effectiveness. I would like to share a few tips and observations, however, that I have learned over time to get the most out of the cream. 1) Very corse, thick hairs are too protein rich for this product to work on. I have a few of these, and have chosen to simply pluck them from the root whenever they sprout up. 2) I use this product once a week, before taking a shower, for two reasons. The first is that longer hairs are more receptive to the chemicals in the cream, and there is a better chance of longer hair burning down to skin level than short. The second, and I know this will be frowned upon by some, is because a hot shower right after opens the pores, which helps me remove any leftover hair or skin on my face. I will use a washcloth with warm water and gently exfoliate the areas I’ve naired while in the shower as well. 3) A generous amount of this cream needs to be used for it to work effectively. The instructions do say to slather a thick layer over the hair in question, and this holds true. Make sure that it is covered by this product well enough that you can’t see it through the cream. Skimping out on using significant dollops will stop all of the hair from burning away, and can leave behind unwanted patches. 4) The instructions say to leave the cream on for five minutes- in my case, because I have a lot of hair and it’s thicker than peach fuzz, I need to wait ten to twelve minutes for the best result. I can assure, this does not, at least for me, cause any discomfort, burning, or chemical rash. I set a timer, wait for it to ring, and gently wipe away the cream with a washcloth before heading into the shower. This has worked, tried and true, for years. I think every woman (or man) is different, hair included. Experimenting with this product is a must to find what works best for each of you. For some, with incredibly thick hair, the cream may never work, but it’s worth a shot and some trial and error to see what works case by case.WalmartShopper
