20 Best Dermalogica Products For Aging Skin (Jan 2023 Update)

I absolutely LOVE this moisturizer. I have used Dermalogoca products for two decades. The past couple years I was trying other brands that cost less but was disappointed so I came back. Nothing else works as well for my skin as Dermalogoca. At 51 now, y skin needed more moisture than it used to so I thought I’d try this. This is a wonderful moisturizer and my skin loves it. It’s rich and creamy but not greasy. I have not had any issues with it irritating my skin or causing breakouts. It lives my skin hydrated and soft but not oily. It pairs well at bedtime with the photo oil and in the daytime with the hyaluronic ceramide mist.Anna K.

I have used Intensive Moisture Balance faithfully, day and night, for at least a decade. My 82 year old Mom has done the same and has amazing skin, not weathered at all, totally supple and young. I notice that the recent tubes you are shipping out have slightly different packaging, with French writing on the front, different from what you show on your website. For some reason, the product isn't performing as usual. I have ordered several different tubes from the Dermalogica website, Nordstrom and Planet Beauty to test this out and my skin seems to be drying out, not nearly as hydrated and getting a bit red and irritated. I am confident something is different because I know this product so well. I have called Customer Service and can't get to the bottom of it. I was totally fine with the formula change made about two years ago, but currently, something isn't right and I may have to start shopping for a new moisturizer. I really don't want to because I would use Intensive Moisturizer until the end of time if it just performed as always. I wish I could get a tube without the French writing on the front because that one works perfectly and would receive a 5 star review from me.Jackie

I’ve had these products for a few weeks but haven’t used them consistently yet. I got these along with an acne kit and started primarily with the other kit so as not to confuse results. So far I would deem these products as just “okay.” The exfoliant is a different color from the regular Dermalogica microfoliant but seems to do the exact same thing. Serum appears to just be a vitamin C serum and has been interchangeable with my Amazon C serum of a much better price. I’ll update this review if any changes occur.Quincy E.

So I just changed over to Dermalogica and I've bought a ton of the products and love mixing and matching them. I started with buying a bunch of the tiny sample size bottles to ensure I wasn't allergic, to make sure I liked the products, and to have travel size bottles available for refill. I have recently started buying the large size bottles because I am IN LOVE with this brand. My skin issues range from super sensitive to (almost 40) so aging and just moisture in general. I love this specifically set and the "Dynamic Skin Recovery" has become my go to daily moisturizer, I love how it makes my skin feel. I also love the Daily Superfoliant and use it maybe every other day because i have a couple routines with different Dermalogica products. The serum is nice, not too heavy but not sure I'd order again, it doesn't add anything for me. BUT we will see. I haven't had any allergic reactions or breakouts with any of the products or combos. I love the sleep cocoon. It’s my last step to my night time regiment. I love the fragrant aroma as it is very calming and it’s added moisture. I wake up in the morning and my skin feels soft and supple. It’s a great product. I’ve been using Dermalogica products for over 3 years now and they work best for me. I am 79 years old and get compliments about my skin. Also , I absolutely love my multivitamin power serum and won’t be without it as it is the fountain of youth to my skin. I’ve been using sleep sound cocoon for years. Ok. My regimen is (after cleaning regimen “PM”) I use “powerbright 1/3 pump” & “overnight retinol repair 1inch” & “overnight repair serum 3-4 drops” all in palm together/blend then apply “I use a ionic device to apply ALL facial creams/products” then apply “sleep sound cocoon” 1 full pump over all face NO IONIZER and sleep. This product size lets it last a long time it greatly improves texture in the morning! And the looks are surely noticed in the mirror when I wake up for the morning regimen! Anyone with sensitive skin who hasn't tried Dermalogica Calming line needs to give it a shot. I'm borderline rosacea and bought the trial kit, loved everything about it! I wanted a gentle night moisturizer and picked up the Cocoon, I've been using it now for possibly two years. I also use this as my daily face moisturizer, I love how it just melts into your skin. This company has evened my skin tone so well, I don't wear foundation anymore! It's fragrance just reminds me how natural and gentle these products are. When I first started using it I thought I had found my new system. I am 38 with combo, very sensitive skin. With any new skin care switch I always give my skin some time to adjust and account for breakouts since your skin can often need a little time. I also rebought some of the items in a smaller size. My face has small red bumps/pimples that I've never had before and they won't go away. It's from one temple across my forehead to the other and down to my jawline on one side. I normally get one or two hormonal acne breakouts on my chin but it's now covered and they are painful. The adjustment phase should be over by now, and shouldn't have ever been that bad to begin with, and I just can't do it. The pre cleanse is probably the only item that I would consider continuing to use but for the price point of the full size products the results just are not there.Amber

It's my first time trying Dermalogica skin care products. I've tried many other skin care brands before, but this one definitely stood out. I've been using this kit for over a month now, and I am pleasantly surprised with the results! I have very sensitive skin, so it's very hard for me to find the right skin care. Dermalogica products didn't irritate or worsened my skin in any way. Out of the 5 items from the kit, my favorites are the daily Microfoliant and Skin Smoothing Cream. Microfoliant gently scrubs the skin and makes it very smooth, rejuvenated, even after one use. I don't exfoliate my skin with it every day since my skin is extremely sensitive, and the Microfoliant can dry it out pretty quickly. So I use it only if I see my face looking dull, and if I need that extra oomph. Skin Smoothing Cream is another favorite and a MUST-HAVE. It hydrates my skin without making my skin oily. My skin looks brighter, younger, and healthier. I already ordered a full size bottle, and it's on the way. That's how much I loved the cream! Overall, I think this kit is worth buying and trying. I was trying to find a better skincare routine and I really liked this kit the first few times I used it because of how smooth it made my skin. I purchased full size bottles and have now stopped using everything except the face wash. I only had blackheads on my nose prior to use but these products can't possibly be noncomedogenic because I ended up with small blackheads all over my face – forehead, cheeks, under my chin. I think the main issue was the oil cleanse portion. I followed the directions, tried other companies' oil cleanse directions but ultimately the product made my skin much worse. I also think the microfoliant should not be used daily. It strips your skin far too much. I've returned to using primarily Murad products and my skin was 10 times better within days. My skin can absolutely improve from the current state but these products did nothing but exasperate my problem areas and create new issues.Sarah

I love vitamin C serums and creams. I have about three that are my favorites and I'm always trying to find something new. Unfortunately, this serum/ gel moisturizer is loaded with a lot of photosensitizing ingredients, fragrance, and unnecessary ingredients that detract from the product. Strong fragrance has no place in face products. My husband could smell me approaching after I put this on. It smells great, but it's not worth the migraine. This product immediately bring me and gave me a headache from the strong scent. I don't react this way to the other vitamin C products that I have, so I don't understand why I react so strongly to this. It's not like vitamin C is a new product to my face. Vitamin C is a product that should be more during the day, but some of these ingredients are known to cause reactions when combined with the sun. Why on earth would they be in this product? Here are some of the culprits: Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Raspberry Ketone, Jasminum Sambac (Jasmine) Flower Extract, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil, My skin burned immediately upon contact with the serum. I tried to wait it out to see if I can get better, but then I developed hives. I still have them even after several hours and a Benadryl. I didn't even go in the sun, so I can't imagine how horrible the reaction would be if I had done that. I received this product for free.Red with hives

Okay stop whatever you are doing and read this; Especially if you’re a guy in your mid-20s, or perhaps just have combination skin (oily t zone summers/dry and sensitive around cheeks winters) and need some more info. Also this is my first review ever. I’ve been on a hunt for THE moisturizer for a bit over a year now. And by hunt I mean thorough research, advice from estheticians/derms, learning all of the skincare ingredients, and so on… I’ve tried most mainstream brands/products such as men oriented personalized skincare sets (like lumin), men oriented lines such as Kiehls facial fuel and Paula’s choice for men, and a lot of popular products (in this case we’ll discuss moisturizers) like La Roche Posay toleraine, Kiehls ultra facial cream, olehenrikesen pore remedy, Boy de Chanel moisturizer, even tried my moms Crème de la Mer, but that’s too much for a 25 year old. These are only a few products from my massive stockpile. Yesterday I was at Sephora and was getting my second bottle of this Dermalogica Biolumin C moisturizer, and let me tell you something, it was the FIRST time in my life I’ve bought the same moisturizer for the second time. Sounds odd, I know but I swear to you, this is the one! I’ve had a few use-the-entire-jar-before-replacing creams like Kiehls Ultra and YTTP air Whip, but due to my obsession with always trying to find a better product I could never stick to one. Until now. I was always a bit afraid of using vitamin c products (serums mostly) due to my skin once again being reactive at times, but this product did not make me breakout or even cause redness on my cheeks which usually always happens after any moisturizer. It absorbs very quickly in my case and I currently use Dermalogica physical defense sunscreen over it during day time (I live in the northeast so it’s getting pretty cold and windy) and it’s just a perfect amount of moisture! I bought the travel size version of this to start as I didn't want to spend a lot on a product that my skin was going to react to, or that I didn't like the texture/absorption of. No problems there on either front. This moisturiser is probably one of the best I have used in all my years. It's light enough to leave my skin non greasy and my make-up sits really nicely. Whether that be light day to day or evening out coverage. No break-outs (yes, even late 40 somethings still get breakouts) which is a big bonus. Once I get near the end of the travel size I will be purchasing the full size. This product works pretty well for my mixed oil/dry skin type. I have larger pores and used to use a cream moisturizer, which left my pores looking even bigger. This product doesn't do that, and also leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft rather than greasy. I usually have dryness between my eyebrows, along my upper cheeks, and on my chin, but this product has significantly helped that. A very small pea-sized drop is all I need. Sad to see it's caused breakouts or generally did not work well for some others, but everyone's skin is different. Only downside for me is the price. I was gifted this and am not sure I would spend so much for a single product when there are likely equivalent products for less.J

This is the absolute BEST lotion for overnight. If I have a little blemish starting to appear, it’s gone the next morning. HOWEVER- think twice about using subscribe and save. They have neglected to send my free gifts with my subscribed purchase each time. It would have been WAY better for me to purchase outright because it was sent on Black Friday and the only product I received was the moisturizer. It’s expensive enough that I would have revived free shipping regardless of the subscription. If you subscribe you lose out BIG TIME. Get the most from these expensive (but totally worth it) products by cancelling all your subscriptions and order when you need it. I have been using this product for about 2 years now! I have bought 2 bottles of this product now. The first bottle was amazing never had any break outs was awesome on my dry sensitive skin and then it ran out and I bought my second bottle. I have come to believe that they switched their formula. With the second bottle I have had bad breakouts around my mouth and an itchy rash around my chin. I have had to the same skincare routine for the past 2 years and haven’t switched anything up and the only conclusion that I can come to is that this is the product that is giving me this rash. I've been using this for the past 3 weeks and I'm already noticing a beautiful difference in my skin! I used the buffer cream it came with for the first week because I was worried using it alone might cause adverse reactions but I found that cream too heavy for my easily congested skin. So, I've been using just the serum for the past 2 weeks and although I haven't had any reactions, my skin did become quite sensitive to a couple of products which made me cut down the retinol usage to every other day now. This seems to be working fine for me so far. Maybe I might switch to every day use after my skin gets a little more used to it. Anyhow, great product, this is my first retinol product and I love it. I love how it's making my skin look already. I did have a purging phase which made me worried that it's not working for my skin but after reading up on it on google I'm much more content and my skin is clearing out wonderfully now. I so wanted to be able to use this! I am 48 and my face shows it. My skin is pretty sensitive, and I absolutely adore the sensitive skin line. I thought if I used the buffer and only used this twice a week, my face could handle it. But unfortunately I began having redness, itching, and peeling. Dermalogica made returning it so easy. I can use the vitamin C products, so that, along with being diligent with SPF, will be my go-to defense against aging. It’s still very early days, have only been using this retinol for a few weeks. I use it every three nights at the moment. I can tell it’s started working, when I wake in the morning my skin just looks a wee. It better. Haven't had flaking or irritation so far but I have used retinol before. I love this stuff! I add a few drops onto my moisturizer and it makes such a difference that wow! I wake up with plumped skin super smooth! Packaging is so good waste is none! I have really oily skin if I don’t keep on top of it. I use a lot of Dermalogica products but this Resurfacer is a recent addition. It’s it an excellent product. The little pouches keep the ingredients nice and fresh. Pouches are easy to open. The smell is good and not overwhelming like some BhA’s can be. I dislike any scents in facial products. Gently stroke the pad all over your face using both sides of the pad. I use it one side of my face turn it over and do the other side. I want to stress that you must wear sunblock. This product stays on your skin after use and works slowly over the hours. I use this at night not in the morning so it’s not fresh on my skin. I really like this product and have only been using it just over a week. It’s a little expensive, but it does work. I’ve noticed my acne scars do not seem to be as visible. Make -up has also started to go on easier as well. My skin looks a little fresher. I went to dermalogica expert for facial treatment and bough the range of cosmetics for over 300 EUR. This one was for 100 introduced as miracle product which would solve all my problems with dark spots, breakouts, removing dead skin and make it perfect after using for consecutive 30 days. So.. after 10 days I notices a burn on my skin and especially visible circles around my eyes where the product was not used (natural skin color vs burn). I used that with ultra-calming daily cream with SPF and hydration masks and it didn't help with the redness. 100 EUR thrown in the trash. Skin got worse than it was… I would expect some reimbursement, because honestly that's such a big disappointment from Dermalogica. They have great products also (daily microfoliant, fizz mask, etc), however throwing that amount made me switching to other brand completely.Mariusz

I wanted to try Dermalogica's Age Smart line, but I wasn't sure where to start. This kit was a great entry for me, and it offers several of the line's top anti-aging products. I'm not sure it's more economical to purchase this kit on a regular basis, unless you want travel sizes, but it's a good way to try the line before making a commitment. I plan to keep these small bottles and refill them for travel, and I'll be purchasing full-size versions of the products I like the most. I really love the skin-refining cleanser in this kit. It's a wonderful evening cleanser to get all the gunk off my face before bed. It's not harsh, but it's effective. My favorite product in the kit is the hydrating mist. It's refreshing, and while I don't know if it's really helping my skin, it sure feels and smells great! The other products are great, too. Definitely a good way to test-drive the line.ZMmom

The products in this kit are fantastic! I've been using the system for almost two weeks now and see a difference in my skin. Seems like fine lines near my eyes and above my lips have faded. I notice a distinct reduction in sebaceous filaments on my nose. I tend to suffer from light adult acne here and there– but I have had nothing but smooth skin so far. I LOVE the face wash in particular. My skin feels so smooth afterwards. I also use a prescription strength retinol cream, so I was a bit concerned as to whether it would react. But this made for a great combination. I am also a big fan of the moisturizer with SPF mixed with the MAP-15 regenerator — most products with SPF make me break out. I have not had any problem whatsoever. The lip renewal complex sample included in the package is also a must-try. My lips are definitely much, much smoother. I have used a lot of eye creams, serums, and gels in the past trying to find one with the right active ingredients that will help the early signs of aging as I just turned 31. I used this in the morning for the first time and after one use, I literally knew I found my new holy grail eye gel. I put this in the refrigerator for a cooling effect and it feels amazing when applying. My tired eyes were less puffy and my dark circles were less noticeable. It was as if my eyes instantly firmed and smoothed. I noticed my skin feels brighter and more awake. I pat it onto my skin in my under eye area, in a gentle circular motion with my ring finger. Its overall formula is so gentle and absorbs seamlessly around my eyes and they look and feel more hydrated. With makeup, I wait one minute so it fully absorbs. My makeup then goes on flawlessly without any pilling because my eye is smooth. A little product goes a long way so the pump really helps with applying too much! I like this mask, although I’ll explain why it isn’t a top favorite for me in this review. First off, I’m surprised some people don’t like the smell. It’s actually a product that smells shockingly neutral to me – yes, I smell something, but it’s not offensive. This product doesn’t have the word “fragrance” which is great news for those with allergies! Although there are some ingredients that contribute to scent. It smells more herbal than paint-like to my nose. The price is fair to me. It’s a 2.5 oz container, which will last for quite a while! As for usage, I love how easy this is to apply. It has a creamy consistency that glides on effortlessly and doesn’t sting my slightly sensitive skin at all. It’s a quick 10-15 minute mask that leaves my skin even, hydrated, and glowy. The results are fantastic, and I suspect it’s stronger in lactic acid from the once-per-week guideline. It can be quite nice to only fuss with a strong product once a week and yet see results! My minor critiques are actually related to that last point. I would love to know what percent of actives I’m using on my skin! Some people don’t care to know this, and that’s just fine – but I know a good portion of the skincare community these days does need such disclosure. It helps us understand what’s going on better. In addition, and I’m not sure if this is on Dermalogica or a miscommunication with Sephora, but it does not contain retinol. It contains a retinol ester instead. In fact, it doesn’t contain vitamin c; ascorbyl glucoside is an ester of vitamin c. These could be minor details to some, especially given that this product is more about the combination of ingredients that lead to results vs the ordinary style of “one ingredient highlights”. This product doesn't do that, and also leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft rather than greasy. I usually have dryness between my eyebrows, along my upper cheeks, and on my chin, but this product has significantly helped that. A very small pea-sized drop is all I need. Sad to see it's caused breakouts or generally did not work well for some others, but everyone's skin is different. Only downside for me is the price. I was gifted this and am not sure I would spend so much for a single product when there are likely equivalent products for less.J

This is the absolute BEST lotion for overnight. If I have a little blemish starting to appear, it’s gone the next morning. HOWEVER- think twice about using subscribe and save. They have neglected to send my free gifts with my subscribed purchase each time. It would have been WAY better for me to purchase outright because it was sent on Black Friday and the only product I received was the moisturizer. It’s expensive enough that I would have revived free shipping regardless of the subscription. If you subscribe you lose out BIG TIME. Get the most from these expensive (but totally worth it) products by cancelling all your subscriptions and order when you need it. I have been using this product for about 2 years now! I have bought 2 bottles of this product now. The first bottle was amazing never had any break outs was awesome on my dry sensitive skin and then it ran out and I bought my second bottle. I have come to believe that they switched their formula. With the second bottle I have had bad breakouts around my mouth and an itchy rash around my chin. I have had to the same skincare routine for the past 2 years and haven’t switched anything up and the only conclusion that I can come to is that this is the product that is giving me this rash. I also noticed a slight different in how strong the smell is compared to the first one bottle. I really used to love this product but something has changed.Mekeyla

I use a lot of the Dermalogica range and have never encountered any problems. I brought this as I don’t actually use a cleanser. I also brought the pre cleanse at the same time. I used this product night and morning like it says and after 3 days my skin was red, itchy and on fire. I put a moisturiser on after using it and it felt like it was going to explode! I asked a friend where I was going wrong and she pointed out that there is lactic acid in this product and said she would not recommend such frequent use. I don’t consider myself to have sensitive skin at all as I use the over night retinol without the buffer cream but this product is just way to strong. 2 days after I have stopped using it my skin is so dry and tight it cracks when I move my face. I am not saying it’s a horrible product as probably used 2 or 3 times a week it would be ok but do not use this product lightly.Hayley O.

Started using this years ago as it was recommended by Lisa Eldridge. I was new to exfoliating at the time and I found this to be non irritating but definitely felt like it was working as the tingling was strong. Now that I am very experienced with AHAs & BHAs I barely feel it at all but still use it as you notice the effects immediately. I would not use this daily but rather as a second cleanse on days you do not want to take the time use a exfoliating mask. I prefer this over exfoliating toners & serums especially when I have flaking skin from Retinoids (Tretinoin). I never liked the idea of leaving exfoliates overnight. Immediately after rinsing off your skin is glowing, clearer, noticeably softer, nourished and holds more moisture. Lisa was right, gentle but very effective. One of my favorite Lactic acid products. this cleanser was a good purchase, it gently cleans. Doesn't leave your skin feeling stripped of moisture, it is a cream cleanser. Very mild scent. Pump bottle is pleasant to use, however a whole push of the pump is too much. The 150ml has lasted longer than i imagined. I love this stuff! I add a few drops onto my moisturizer and it makes such a difference that wow! I wake up with plumped skin super smooth! Packaging is so good waste is none! I waited about 30 days before writing a review to give an authentic review of this product. However, I could not use it for 30 days because although it did moisturize and soften my skin, it caused my eczema to flare in different parts of my body and caused dry patches in other areas. I have susceptible skin, and such products can irritate or burn the skin if there are too many fragrances in them. The saddest part is when I initially submitted a return, I was not able to drop it off because I was 9 months pregnant and gave birth to my baby and was placed on bed rest; I recently tried to return it with the label I was given and was told since it was out of the 30-day mark, I could not. I loved this! I don't really have issues with blemishes but I do need a good exfoliating product or I notice that my face can look kinda dull or feel dry and scaly, especially in the winter, so this product has been amazing!! It's a little intimidating the first time you use it- you have to wash your face and make sure it's dry, then wet your hands and carefully pour it into one hand (it pours fast so pour slowly) and it does get messy), then rub your hands in a circular motion to make a paste. Once you've got a good consistency just rub it in with your fingers then rinse. I had some left over the first time so I just rubbed the rest on my hands and it helped slough off dry skin I'm prone to get during colder months. It's an expensive product but I would buy it again.Laura

I received the Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant for free as a sample from BzzAgent. The product is 2.0 ounces. This a resurfacing, anti-pollution powder exfoliant. You only need about a nickel size/amount of powder. You have to wet your hands first, and then on really wet hands put the powder and then rub the powder, which will become a little foamy. I usually apply it on face and then massage my skin in circular motions for about a minute which is the recommended amount of time. I have dry a somewhat of sensitive skin and this product although you don’t feel the exfoliation too much when you apply, leaves my skin a little sensitive and I have to leave a day or two before using again. After applying your skin does feel much cleaner and refreshed. I also like that this a vegan product and a professionally recommended product. I def recommend to use about 2 to 3 days a week because it’s totally worth it to get rid of everything that enters the face’s pores throughout the day. This product also left my skin feeling nice and soft.adb162

I really enjoyed this product! It’s a great daily exfoliator because it isn’t harsh at all. I also feel that it is great for sensitive skin. It’s almost unscented there is no fragrance. The smell is a very faint smell of rice which is what it is made from. I’ve never had a powdered exfoliator before but I loved it! A little pea size amount goes a long way. I use this in the shower and just lather it together and apply it to my face. The formula is very nice and smooth. The only reason I marked it down a star is because it did dry out my face a little bit on one occasion so I just gave my face a break from it the next day and I was fine. I experienced a horrible breakout prior to receiving this due to stress and this definitely helped! I think the price is a little high for a product that is rice based but I also think this product is going to last me a very long while so it’s worth the money. The last big thing i would like to mention is since it’s a powder, you have to be extremely careful about getting water in in the container. That would definitely ruin the exfoliator completely and you’d have to repurchase. So I wouldn’t recommend using this in the shower if you’re clumsy and might get water in the bottle. This is my second go around using this SPF. First of all, it’s really nice to be able to use a sunscreen to protect, as well as hydrate! Combining products is always a vibe. Love that. It is also more than a moisturizer and sunscreen, because it has some really great firming ingredients, antioxidants and peptides to help improve my skin (hello AGE Smart!) AND it works well as a base / primer before applying makeup. Would I spend a lot on a plain old sunscreen? Probably not. Would I invest in a multi-purpose skincare product that also provides adequate SPF? Absolutely. I have had really good results from this brand, so it’s no surprise this SPF is so well liked. I also feel like it makes my skin instantly appear more revived. A bit glowy without a white cast. Definitely a beautiful, amped up, more than just SPF kind of SPF. Pretty unique. I first came across this moisturiser during a facial treatment. I told the beautician I'd tried many face creams and often had itchy patches on my face that no cream seemed to soothe. Having tried so many products over the years I didn't know if this would be any better, but I noticed a difference straight away and it was so good I've been using it ever since. The cream is fragrance-free and absorbs into the skin beautifully. I feel my skin is well protected all year round since the cream has SPF50, and I don't need to add extra sunscreen on sunny days. My skin is no longer itchy, and it feels well moisturised throughout the day. My only tiny complaint about this product is the packaging, as it has a pump action delivery which means you can't get the last little bits out of the bottle. However, having said that, the bottle design does make putting the cream on every day very easy. I would highly recommend this moisturiser to anyone with dry and itchy, or combination, skin.Doonie

This moisturizer is perfect for drier skin types like mine. I'm an esthetician in my mid-thirties and live in the midwestern part of the US where it can get pretty windy and cold. As you can see in the before and after pictures, my skin looks pretty hydrated and supple after application. I can wear other serums underneath the moisturizer and concealer on top and it doesn't get streaky or pill. The scent isn't overwhelming like how many sunscreens can be; it has a faint aroma of tea. I have used a lot of eye creams, serums, and gels in the past trying to find one with the right active ingredients that will help the early signs of aging as I just turned 31. I used this in the morning for the first time and after one use, I literally knew I found my new holy grail eye gel. I put this in the refrigerator for a cooling effect and it feels amazing when applying. My tired eyes were less puffy and my dark circles were less noticeable. It was as if my eyes instantly firmed and smoothed. I noticed my skin feels brighter and more awake. I pat it onto my skin in my under eye area, in a gentle circular motion with my ring finger. Its overall formula is so gentle and absorbs seamlessly around my eyes and they look and feel more hydrated. With makeup, I wait one minute so it fully absorbs. My makeup then goes on flawlessly without any pilling because my eye is smooth. A little product goes a long way so the pump really helps with applying too much! I like this mask, although I’ll explain why it isn’t a top favorite for me in this review. First off, I’m surprised some people don’t like the smell. It’s actually a product that smells shockingly neutral to me – yes, I smell something, but it’s not offensive. This product doesn’t have the word “fragrance” which is great news for those with allergies! Although there are some ingredients that contribute to scent. It smells more herbal than paint-like to my nose. The price is fair to me. It’s a 2.5 oz container, which will last for quite a while! As for usage, I love how easy this is to apply. It has a creamy consistency that glides on effortlessly and doesn’t sting my slightly sensitive skin at all. It’s a quick 10-15 minute mask that leaves my skin even, hydrated, and glowy. The results are fantastic, and I suspect it’s stronger in lactic acid from the once-per-week guideline. It can be quite nice to only fuss with a strong product once a week and yet see results! My minor critiques are actually related to that last point. I would love to know what percent of actives I’m using on my skin! Some people don’t care to know this, and that’s just fine – but I know a good portion of the skincare community these days does need such disclosure. It helps us understand what’s going on better. In addition, and I’m not sure if this is on Dermalogica or a miscommunication with Sephora, but it does not contain retinol. It contains a retinol ester instead. In fact, it doesn’t contain vitamin c; ascorbyl glucoside is an ester of vitamin c. These could be minor details to some, especially given that this product is more about the combination of ingredients that lead to results vs the ordinary style of “one ingredient highlights”. This was gifted by Dermalogica, but I really love this product! It’s pretty intense, but that’s a good thing! I like using this on my face, neck, and décolletage. I have more sun spots on my décolletage than my face, but this is great for all over. You only need a little bit too! I do have somewhat sensitive skin but this product exacerbates/amplifies any issues I have beyond what is normal. I get pretty severe itching and redness when I use this product AND my eyes also hurt and get itchy m. To boot, the product has done NOTHING for my dark spots. So basically I have been beating through the torture of red, itchy skin for nothing. If you have anything close to "sensitive skin," stay far, far away from this product. I am so mad I shelled out over $80 for this! I also used to love Dermalogica products but I am so turned off to them now.Ycash
