Really good brush that my dog actually enjoys! Other brushes seem to “hurt” her or make her uncomfortable, but when I use the furminator, she doesn’t want you to stop brushing her! LOL I also really like the button that releases the hairs making it quick and easy to clean the brush and continue brushing her or store for the next time. As far as the brush itself, it DEF brushes her and gets rid of her winter coat- she’s a pit mix and I’m always amazed at the amount of hair that comes off the brush! Def helps keep shedding to a minimum- last thing you want to to pet your dog and have a hand full of hair! So far, have had this for 3+ years now and it’s still going strong and works just as well. I brought my dog to my neighbors house recently and she recommended this and even let me try hers out on my girl. I have a beagle-border collie mix and her hair is about an inch or so when I trim her. It works so well, she’s got this crazy undercoat that just never ends no matter how often I brush her with regular plastic bristle brushes. With this, it ONLY pulls out the undercoat and that is what we need, badly. After one session, she looked like she had lost a few pounds. The shedding while petting has decreased dramatically. You do have to be gentle with it and try not to do multiple passes in the same area because it’s metal head can irritate. I remedy this by brushing her every other day to give her skin a break. She doesn’t love it while it’s happening like she does with a regular brush, but I think she’s feeling much cooler without the buildup of undercoat! I have labradors with super thick coats. In spring and fall they start to look like crap as their coats start changing for the season. My sister-in-law is a groomer and recommended this tool. I have a 2 year old Newfoundland who sheds an unbelievable amount! Regular brushes help but they do not really grab the fuzz that is being pushed out as she blows her coat. The amount of loose hair and dead, dry skin it loosened up was AMAZING! And this is on my horse who I groom everyday! My mare really loves it over her lower back and hindquarters. This deshedding tool has become my absolute favorite! The Furminator is a must-have for me. During the summer months I start with a shedding blade, then move to the Furminator deShedding tool. My dog is only 34 pounds, but his undercoat has an undercoat, which has an undercoat of its own. He's a Husky / German Spitz / Spaniel mix (mostly Spitz, thus the size). I can shed him for hours and still pull hair off of him. While this tool doesn't make short work of the job, it Does keep the hair together so I don't have to chase poofs around the yard. I also like the fact that it trims the undercoat so when the weather is confused he still has some insulation against the cold.It's an easy tool to use and while it does have a little bit of drag to it Momo doesn't seem to be bothered one bit. When I go over the same area for too long he'll shift his weight and that's when I know I was a little overzealous and it's time to move to a new section. The tool is especially nice for his mantle. It leaves the top hair long and pretty while thinning out the fluffy stuff underneath.

I have a 60 pound white boxer with short fur that sticks to and in everything. It really pours off of him like a waterfall anytime someone goes in for pets. I have a 60 pound white boxer with short fur that sticks to and in everything. It really pours off of him like a waterfall anytime someone goes in for pets. I'm honestly surprised he's not bald with the rate he loses fur. I'll admit that I rarely brush him to begin with, so I am convinced that any sort of regular brushing would have been effective in managing his fur waterfall. But, I do believe the Furminator does a great job in getting the undercoat, especially at this time of year (late spring/early summer). The Furminator has changed by brushing habits for two reasons- 1. My dog seems to love it, and I can tell the daily brushings are effective. We collect less fur each day. 2. The guilt I have over spending $35 on a comb forces me to use it, thus establishing effective grooming habits. It has been the only tool that has caused me to stick to a routine. Well I thought that the dog had to be long-haired to be able to benefit from the furminator. However, a friend told me that she had a short-haired dog and that it got a lot of loose hair. So based on that I went online and bought one. I discovered that there is a type specifically for short-haired dogs. dk if labs really qualify as short-haired. But it amazed me how much fur I got out. So from now on every time my dogs are clean I'm going to use it to get a couple of hands full of fur, so it is not always in the carpet! I love Southern AG. Really good brush that my dog actually enjoys! Other brushes seem to “hurt” her or make her uncomfortable, but when I use the furminator, she doesn’t want you to stop brushing her! LOL I also really like the button that releases the hairs making it quick and easy to clean the brush and continue brushing her or store for the next time. As far as the brush itself, it DEF brushes her and gets rid of her winter coat- she’s a pit mix and I’m always amazed at the amount of hair that comes off the brush! Env: development When I adopted my cat from the pet shelter, the volunteer gave me a list of supplies I would need for my kitty. She told me I didn't need to break the bank on buying specialty pet items. For example, I was instructed that an old fine-toothed comb would be adequate for keeping my cat's short hair healthy and groomed. Well, I took her suggestion, scavenged through my junk drawer and found the perfect comb that I hadn't used in a while. The cat loved the feel of it and it did a great job of removing the loose hair. All was well for a while. Spring came, and I noticed that kitty was shedding more. A lot more. I had seen advertisements for **Shed Ender**, touted as a quick and easy way to control shedding. I found it online for about 10 dollars, ordered it, and then waited for it to arrive. When I opened the package I read the details and instructions for the comb. According to the manufacturer, the Shed Ender removes the dead hair from the pet's undercoat. Apparently, this is what gives the Shed Ender an advantage over ordinary combs and brushes that remove surface hair only. The explanation sounded reasonable so I tried it. The comb is made of a weighty metal with a soft, comfortable molded plastic handle. It feels good in your hand, and both right- and left-handed people can use it comfortably. I followed the directions of combing the cat hair in one direction. When I pulled the Shed Ender through her fur I didn't see much hair in the comb at first. After multiple passes, however, I did begin to notice that it was effectively getting hair from the undercoat. The only problem with the Shed Ender is that my cat absolutely did not like it. When I used my hard plastic comb, she would purr and nuzzle me while I cooed in her ear and gently combed her. I don't think she thought the Shed Ender felt particularly good. She would start out letting me comb her; then when she felt the metal teeth, she would suddenly jump out of my reach. After a month of trying, I went back to the old plastic comb and she is happy as can be. I have a 2 year old Newfoundland who sheds an unbelievable amount! Regular brushes help but they do not really grab the fuzz that is being pushed out as she blows her coat. The FURminator is a life saver when dealing with my Newfie, it gets all the fluff balls that get stuck in her longer hairs and end up causing matts. Every time I use it, I am able to really get her shed out well and without pulling and annoying her too much. This is one of the best slicker brushes that we have used on our dog. He hates to be brushed because most brushes and slicker brushes either get stuck in his fur is ruff on his skin but this particular slicker is awesome. It doesn’t stick or irritate his skin. I do love this. It definitely does get a lot of my dogs loose coat that she sheds. And I can tell its getting some of her undercoat as well. She is a husky/German shepherd mix. So she's furry!!!! I sweep daily at least 3 times and can make a whole dog out of the fur I get up from the floor. But when I use this, I don't need to sweep nearly as much. The only thing I don't like about it is that I have to pick the hair out, rather than the other type that has the release button. But either way, I'd recommend it!jamie.r
This slicker brush really helps, when brushing the undercoat out, on your dog. Because it has bristles that are closer together, it works better than most slicker brushes do. But you have to work with smaller sections when using it. If not, you will get the brush stuck, or wind up hurting your dog when removing matted fur or "shed fur". If you have a large dog, I'd recommend a larger slicker brush. But this one works great for my pomeranian's furamanda.c

Being a long-haired domestic cat, my Pegasus sheds a LOT so I brush her often. Despite my best efforts, she still sometimes develops mats that are nearly impossible to get out! I've tried many different brushes over the years, including very expensive ones. I decided to try the Groomers Best Small Slicker Brush because the bristles are very fine & it was affordable. Got this as a free sample. Great size for small animals. The slicker's wires are not too long and are relatively soft and gentle. My cat Buttercup even seemed to like the feel. Thomas, our rescued rat Terrier REALLY enjoyed it. He lost and leg and can't scratch so this was a welcome treat. He also now battling cancer and COPD so it something makes him happy we are happy and its much easier scratching him with the brush than with our fingers. I like the GROOMER'S BEST slicker brush for cats. The shape is better compared to the rectangular brush I have. This brush is best for a light daily grooming. I have a longhaired cat, so it wouldn't glide easily through the thicker part of her hair. During the spring and summer, she gets so many knots in her hair that I have to use a special brush that is more sturdy for removing knots and undercoat. This is a great dematting comb. It's sharp and works better than anything else on my poodle's dense under coat and persistent matting. Serrated blades are what does it, they cut through well, sometimes needing a little sawing motion…so it has a somewhat shredding feeling, possibly lending to a frizzier effect on hair. My Golden Retriever had horrible mats all through her fur and I was at a loss as what to do. I thought I was going to have to completely shave her. It's very challenging to find a brush that is tough enough to take on a German Shepherd, but remain pliable and also be soft enough not to cause them any pain. I am very excited about my purchase! I've been through countless brushes for my three cats, and 2 chihuahuas and i was close to giving up. Not all of them liked any one certain brush, but all had excessive amounts of summer shedding. I tried this brush on each one of my pets and they all loved it! It is a bit different from other self cleaning brushes in the way it locks the slicker to brush and when unlocked the entire slicker is out of the way letting all hair to easily fall from brush. With similar brushes there are always a few wires that stick out and hold the hair. The slicker is made of good quality wire and is firm. I use it on my German Shepards and long haired cat. It works well, it is now my go-to brush ! I am impressed, I am new to Hertzgo and once I saw the quality and performance of this brush I then purchased the nail clippers.. This brush is a miracle worker! My cat sheds so much and I needed a good brush rat would actually remove hair and help with shedding. Aftwr some research on Amazon, I settled on the Hertzco brush. The bristles are solid but not sharp like some other brands. After checking the brush out a bit, my cat, Ellie, enjoyed getting brushed and sat for a good 15 minutes. The FURminator is -an excellent tool to use on your dogs to remove excess hair,and keep it off. I generally would brush my dog at least 4 days out the week to ensure the product works and it does a great job to minimize the hair in returning. Our dog was going through anxiety, because, she loss her sister of 14 years old and passed away recently. Her anxiety was high, but using the FURminarator it minimize her anxiety. Plus I decided to take her to a new park where a portion is fenced for dogs and this helped with her recovery, but I am still taking her to the park, so she can continue to recover. Our small dogs or big dogs can’t speak when they are hurting and we need to recognize the signs and help them and one is to use the FURminator and any other options you’ve to help your pets’ minimize their anxiety and be that dog again, happy and playful. has been my lifesaver at home for my fur baby. She's a Golden Retriever with some Labrador mixed in and sheds her undercoat like there's no tomorrow! This has reduced the need to sweep daily at home and also the amount of floatie hairs you get when they shake off. It's easy enough that with 30 minutes of grooming every 1-2 weeks reduces the amount of undercoat insanely, without taking too much of the upper hair layer so she's fresh in the warmer days (in photo 1 you can see her first brush of the year). My family got this for our two yellow English labs, one is 11 (90lbs) and the other is 8 months (45 lbs). If you don't know labs shed not only constantly but a TON so we had high expectations. After numerous uses, I have to say this thing works!! We have other undercoat rakes and stuff and even after using those this thing still gets even more hair off! It does take some time as it works best with short strokes, so it would probably be quicker / more efficient on a smaller dog. But even with our big boy if you take the time it gets the job done! Note: as I said Labs shed constantly so while this works great and helps get rid of a ton of hair. It will not completely get rid of or stop shedding. We have wanted a furminator for a while, it was only when our dog was shedding hair loads that we realised how much we needed one. I scoured the internet as I didn’t want to pay £32 (pets at home price) for something that might not work. Luckily I found pet shop.co.Uk it was priced at 12.99. At first I thought it’ll never come or it’ll be a copy of the actual product. How wrong was I ! The product came within a few days of me ordering it, we use it straight away snd it really does do what it says. The excess fur that come off I was amazed. I have a 2 year old Newfoundland who sheds an unbelievable amount! Regular brushes help but they do not really grab the fuzz that is being pushed out as she blows her coat. The FURminator is a life saver when dealing with my Newfie, it gets all the fluff balls that get stuck in her longer hairs and end up causing matts. Every time I use it, I am able to really get her shed out well and without pulling and annoying her too much. The FURminator is absolutely a must for a long haired dog, especially one that sheds a ton. I still use regular brushes for other grooming tasks and to maintain a healthy coat then use the FURminator when she is blowing out her coat. Excellent product and great price.yogaflow2014
