I like the desk but a couple issues. Build quality is mediocre. Some of the plastic caps aren't sized right to cover up the locking bolts. The desk has a huge scratch in it also. Too heavy to bother returning it since it sits against a wall.pts12345

For the price, this is an excellent option! I work from home and FINALLY decided to set up a dedicated office. The desk was super simple to put together. I already had a nice 2 drawer file cabinet and it fits under this desk perfectly. Eventually, I will get the matching cabinet. The desk is very roomy! I have a large external monitor, my laptop on a stand so I can use that screen too, my work phone and plenty of extra space to work! I purchased an undermount pencil drawer (another manufacture) and it works perfectly. Very pleased!mikey6982

This desk is absolutely incredible, and unbeatable in this price range. The rack units are extremely convenient, the design of the back really helps with cable management, and the textured quality of the desk itself is a nice aesthetic. Still moving everything in, so Im not done setting everything up, yet, but Ive spent several hours with it over the last week and my only complaint is that I wish it had a little more leg space underneath. Im only 6 foot and my knees are always touching the bottom and I tend to pull the key tray out when I back my chair up, but its just a minor inconvenience. I could put it on risers but I do pull it out from the wall often when re-arranging my signal chains, so I do love the fact that its on wheels. I assembled it by myself in less than an hour. Very easy. I highly recommend this desk to any producers looking for something for their home studio.jcrouse

Great desk. So much room for all of your gear! I was able to use a clamp on monitor mount to double mount 2 ultra wide screens on there and the shelves still has enough room to fit my KRK Classic 5 Monitors. The wood used is great! The assembly only got 3 stars because you have to study the building guide just a bit but overall it’s really not that hard. I would recommend this to anyone not wanting to pay for other brands that are in the 1k price range. Great desk for a great price!Ryan

Easy build. The non scratch surface is so practical and the design accomodations are as well. I am running prologic with my mac mini and other recording DAW on a Windows platform. The desk surface offers plenty of room for cpu keyboards, a mouse, and audio interface,a small mixer for just playing and practice with friends. My software has plenty of power and plugins so I dont use external gear for recording. I use the 8 unit gear rack for live sound gear to jam with friends, playing along with recordings, when I am learning new material. I have a stereo compressor, a crown amp, a rack mounted Korg X3R synth and power strip all within arms reach. The icing on the cake is the slide out controller keyboard drawer. This is a well thought out design that doesnt clutter the work area with excessive rack spaces that take up usable space. Take your time routing audio and power cables and it will pay you back in productivity. The price is worth it.Steve

This product is amazing. It arrived in 2 days, as promised by American Musical, who I'm forever grateful for all my music-related items. The item arrived and it was an easy carry (I'm a strong man, so it wasn't really hard to carry. It was about 32 Kg, or 60-ish pounds give or take). The table itself came very neatly packaged, everything was perfect and nothing within it had any imperfections. Be careful when building the table! It gets scratched very easily! The instructions were very easy to follow, and all the components worked perfectly and were complete. After a week with this table, it definitely has helped my workflow and is very ergonomic. I got this workstation to be able to have both my computer keyboard and my synth in front of me when producing, and it does a fantastic job at that. I don't even use the keyboard tray for the keyboard as I find it a bit too low for me so I just use it as extra storage, but the fact there's an upper platform for the screen and such gives me SO MUCH ROOM that I can put both the synth and the computer keyboard in front of me on the main surface. The upper platform is pretty big as well, I can easily fit my 23 screen as well as 2 studio monitors. I was worried it would be a bit cramped there but it's not! And it's pretty deep as well so I still have plenty of room on the top platform to put random stuff there if I need to. I like that there is two possible positions for the upper platform (closer or further back). I put it closer to me because I'm in a pretty small space, but if you have the room, you can put it further back so it opens up a bit more the main surface. It was pretty straightforward to build, only the keyboard tray required me to think a bit but the rest was dead simple. I really like the color, I find that it looks even better in real life than on the photo. Lastly, it shipped and arrived super fast even though it ships from the US (for free!) and I'm in Canada, so that was a great surprise!Valerian

So, as a broadcaster, I felt this product would be perfect to have. My old setup was a much smaller desk that I could only fit one monitor on, my mouse, and a mixer. The desktop and keyboard had to sit on the floor. Now, I can fit a desktop and two monitors on the top board, while on the main one, I have my mixer, game consoles and controllers to go with them. As a finished product, it's absolutely fine. No problems here so far after I finished building it three hours before writing this review. However, it took me five total hours to build since not only was I by myself, but also due to the fact that QA didn't seem to be on the minds of the manufacturer. The locking nuts were a complete pain to thread any bolts through, so I had to thread each one on another side of the nuts with the provided minimalist tools, having to unthread them before attaching the cross bars to the z legs. Then, there was the keyboard tray assembly. The bolts had to practically be pushed into the holes with force to get through the overlapping top coat that covered the wood, and even then trying to thread them was a pain. Though, once that hurdle was clear, I was able to tackle the main board with ease, attaching the keyboard tray assembly to it, then attaching the rest of it to the rest of the build was easy compared to the total pain from the previous steps. So, would I recommend this? Yes, but only if you have someone to help you and if you're experienced with building kits like this.Chris of Midnight Owl Radio

One of the two boxes delivered was super heavy, will need a helper to move into staging position. Easy to put together. Issues: the headphone hooks are pretty low, and bend the headphone cable against the desktop; the rack holes are not aligned, the spacing is off by as much as 1/16"-1/8" on the bottom rails which are part of the desk support, poor craftsmanship – can't fill the whole rack.Johnny

Good quality desk. It's heavy but it was a fairly easy build that I managed to do myself. Took about 2 hrs. Lots of rack space which is great. I didn't experience any of the misaligned rack rail issues that other reviewers stated. I had the Studio RTA Creation Station for 10 years and finally outgrew it so I had no problems going for the Producer Station. Only thing that I don't care for is the placement of the headphone hangers. They are too low so headphones end up touching the bottom tier and not really hanging at all. I opted not to install them and just used one of the hangers screwed into the far left corner as a patch cable hanger. Overall though, this desk is a 9.5/10!Josh

This is a very well made and HEAVY studio desk with everything you could ever want in an analog (Recoder and Mixer with outboard FX) or DAW (Computer based Digital Workstation) configuration. I use both. I chose to purchase 2 – 5 space rack rails and eliminate the top sliding draw to add space for more rack gear I use regularly. Ok so with a ton (literally) of outboard compressors, gates, processors, pre-amps as well as rack mount computer gear, power conditioners and power extension racks, this thing took it all. The only thing I could not believe was the screws provided to hold the feet on, I laughed. In many of the reviews I read, people complained the feet break off and it's no wonder, the desk itself is well over 150 Lbs. Please look at my photos for my solution. I drilled 7/8" holes and used 1/4" bolts with locking nuts. Problem solved. The desk rolls like a dream.Hellraiser Johnny

Well I can't tell you what this desk is like, I ordered it over a week ago and paid for it as well. After trying to call with no one answering phones as well as leaving many messages to be called back, the best that has happened so far is being sent an invoice to pay for the desk that I have already paid for. The level of customer care comes across at this moment as being non existent. This was a lot of money for me to spend and it is an utter shame that the level of communication from this place is disgusting. To say I am annoyed is putting things very very mildly, especially after receiving a generic email from Dj city to say that any orders made now may not make it to you before Christmas. The desk appears outstanding for the price. Lots of space, looks excellent, and seems quite sturdily made. But the problem is. I haven't fully built the desk yet. The desk comes in 2 boxes and when I recieved it, one box had the walnut color as I ordered and the other was white. I was able to get this corrected swiftly. But when the correct colored part arrived and I nearly had the desk completed … the cam screws and their associated holes did not match, along with other misalignments. So yet again working on getting the correct parts, which is a bit of a run around. B&H CS is helpful, patient, and have a good attitude. So when, if ever, this desk gets put together correctly, this will be a nice piece. But until then, Glorious Sound needs to get it together.Michael

Excellent product. Perhaps just a tad pricey for what it is, but extremely functional for music production. Much beter than trying to frankenstein a solution from a standard desk. Perhaps the top shelf could be a little deeper; I have 8" monitors which overhang significantly if they are not on stands. All told, I am extremely happy. So after a few days of looking for a vanity type desk I came across this one on Amazon. But unfortunately it said it’s not available anymore, so I searched up the store and found they had it on the Walmart site. I’m so glad I kept looking for it because it’s beautiful! The end result is worth it! The outside of it is super glossy and clean. The legs are a brownish bronze type of color. Pretty nice color but it’s definitely not gold if thats what you’re interested in. I made my order on January 8 and my delivery was set for January 21. To my amazement it got here on January 14!! CA to TX. Delivery was super fast. It does come thru FedEx and unfortunately I knew there would be a chance of them mishandling it, and sure enough. The box has about 5 holes in it. Two of them manage to actually puncture thru but only one of them damaged the desk. I know it was FedEx because the condition of the desk is immaculate. And the holes match up to the dent on the desk. Thankfully though it’s not noticeable from far. The actual packing of it was good, every inch of it has styrofoam and the four corners had a hard cardboard to protect the edges. And it has plenty of tape to keep it from opening. Nothing came loose or with room to move around. The height of the desk does seem shorter than others but it’s not bad. You might although have to re think a chair with arms on it. I have a stool from ikea and it fits just fine. It took my husband an hour and 16 minutes to build it. He did mention to pay close attention in the very beginning because it gets a little confusing but if you take your time and look carefully you should be just fine. To the packing crew I would recommend labeling it fragile/or handle with care because having to return it for someone else’s mishandling would be such a bummer for anyone! I was looking for a cute, small desk for my home office and this was perfect!!! I’m 5’1”, 120 lbs and I was able to build this by myself despite the instructions claiming 2 people needed to build this. No scratches, however I was missing the back piece to the desk (piece #6). I emailed the seller regarding my missing piece so hopefully I will be receiving that soon as I have not heard back yet. Either way, I was able to build the desk completely without that one piece, and since my desk will be against the wall, you cannot tell. If my desk were to be in an open area, then the missing piece would be noticeable. I will attach pictures of where the missing piece should go for your reference. Despite, the missing piece, I would buy this again (as long as I don’t have any missing pieces and they send me the piece I am currently missing.webuser_154698118

Disappointed with the experience and the product. . . The delivery folks dropped it at my neighbor’s doorstep instead of at my place. Given how heavy it was, it was quite difficult to move from their house to mine. . . Opened up the box and one side of desk edge is rough and unfinished. It’s got wood / wood-ish splinters protruding out and someone will guaranteed get hurt or be cut by it. . . The desk is supposed to be a smooth finish and this quality is very disappointing. It’s unpacked and heavy and will be impossible to return. Was looking forward to it and now I have a desk I will simply have to throw away.webuser_121882548

The design is great. Assembly was time consuming- all parts were in package and instructions were relatively clear. It tooks us about 3 hours to build. I appreciate the table top space for working. I am a bit disappointed with the drawers- they do not line up well and the drawer slider are stiff. The file drawer doesn't stay level. I don't have access to the whole drawer as they do not roll out fully. I cannot put in a file without having to force it in. Also, cord management is wonky- there is no grommet on top for the cords to disappear behind the desk. Also- the edge on the top is sharp.dena_linda

the big lot website was easy to browse and items had plenty of description. However, when searching for items using the search field provided, the hits on the search was not accurate. The search feature needs to be tuned up. The office desk that I purchased looks nice when I put it together. However, the large drawer is stuck and very difficult to open and close. I checked and double checked the installation, but I have not found a solution to the stuck drawer. Also, the instructions that came with the desk had drawings but no written step-by-step instructions. This made the process very difficult and time consuming. Another issue was that not all the pieces were labeled with numbers or letters. Only one tiny glue container was provided which was not nearly enough for the project. I was generous when giving the item a 3 star. It probably deserves a 2.5 rating.Abdalsalam

I love this desk. Assembly was easy, but these things out of the box always seem overwhelming. I put this together in a little over an hour and it gave me no issues so it was pretty fun comparatively. I am not a fan of the handles it comes with which are chintzy and don’t seem purposeful, but I had planned to shop for replacements which were easy to do because they were standard size. I picked up these brushed nickel from home depot for less than $15 for 3 and it really elevated the look. The only negative is the back side of the drawer cubes are unfinished. The support beam is finished on both sides and it would be nice if they were as well so you could float the desk in a room. I’m planning to resurface those with a peel and stick decor paper or other material that can be applied easily to the backside. I would definitely recommend this desk as it’s held up well for me for over 2 years!brittany_lange1941859

Its appealing to the eyes but the chrome bars don't line up which makes the glass look uneven. Definitely not worth the money. If I had the energy to disassemble it and re box it I totally would. If you are OCD and like things perfect do not buy this desk.Alexa

Great piece! It's just what I wanted. Looks great in my bedroom with my grey velvet chair which has similar chrome design. It was relatively easy to put together by myself and took about 20 min. The package arrived intact and the contents well-protected. Just take care placing the glass on top, as it's kind of big and heavy. You may prefer to have some help, just to be safe. The glass is thick and all of it looks like good quality for the price. Would make a good console, too, depending on your needs. Very happy with this purchase. The desk was very easy and quick to set up. It has a thick substantial base so it doesn't feel flimsy. The top of the desk is dark and durable and will easily handle lots of wear and tear for my variety of at home projects. The style is modern and attractive and doesnt take up a lot of visual space in the center of my office. The length and width were a perfect fit for me as well. Used these in our design office and the staff was really happy with them. The hand crank is very smooth and allows the desk to be adjusted from a regular seated height up to a standingbar stool height. The top of the desk is not faux wood grain, which I was glad about. Good solid desk!Sophia

Table works great, fits my home office perfectly and I like the all-black look since it matches anything. The crank system seems to work great and I think it will be much more reliable in the long term compared to an electric desk of comparable value since I've seen other reviews saying the electric ones stop working after a few months (they you're just stuck with a $250 stationery desk which is not ideal) so this removes the issues that can occur with electronics. Also the height adjustment is great for me and it has a very wide range of how high and how low it can go. The system is easy to use (takes about 30 easy turns of the crank to get it to standing position for me). Only complaint is there is metal support bar connecting the legs and my knees hit it sometimes preventing me from scooting my chair in completely hen I'm working. Not a huge deal for me and I'm guessing being right against the desk isn't the best for posture anyways.DEEPTI

While the aesthetics remind me of a certain large Swedish furniture chain, the quality is remarkably better than any flat pack product you will see. The steel is a nice heavy gauge, bolts are thick and the table top is solid. If the mechanicals are build comparably, this is a great value for the price.Devin C.

I would HIGHLY recommend not buying this desk. If I could give the desk zero stars I 100% would. It’s definitely going to be a waste of your money and time. When I first bought the desk, there was a HUGE piece of wood chipped off and missing, when trying to get a refund or replacement. I was pretty much denied,after arguing they finally sent me a replacement but that was now the least of my worries. I bought this desk back in July, and we had the hardest time putting together. I paid 4 different handy man’s to see if they could get the job done, and still to this day the desk is not completely up. There are so many different screws that don’t fit or are too small/big for where the directions are stating to be place. Overall the desk is NOT what was expected.dei

There were a few things wrong with this desk. Upon opening the box, it had been damaged in 4 places during shipment. I sort of overlooked this damage because I thought I would be able to fix it, which entails me having to go to the store to get wood fill. Annoying, but not necessarily a huge deal. What was super annoying was that it literally took over 3 hours to put this together and I had to ask my dad (professional carpenter) for help. Parts were not labeled and the instructions were just pictures. Handles are chinsy and I will probably replace these too. Lastly, there was literally styrofoam all over the place from this thing. I should have just payed a little more money for a better quality desk that did not require so much work to put together. Hope this desk lasts!Elizabeth

Nice desk for the price. The building instructions are TERRIBLE! My guy is a master certified technician, so very accustomed to putting things together, he had to go back MANY times and remove/switch up screws/placement. Should not have been this hard with clear, concise directions. Should’ve taken 30 minutes tops. Over 2 hours of frustration. Also, not all pilot holes were drilled either. Seems silly.lisa

I have a small area for my office and this desk fits it perfectly. Because of the neutral color, I can accent it with much brighter colors and it looks great with whatever I put with it. It comes with a locking cart that I thought about using for my computer tower, but used it for extra storage instead. The cart is big enough to rest my printer on and still move it around. I needed a rolling cart with a lock and a flat surface. It is well made and sturdy. They put the box in the car and at 72 I of course could not unload it. Opened the box in the car and took each piece out one at a time. All the bags were labeled well and I liked the instructions. It took me about three hours to assemble this. Everything fit very well. For reference, I have the Pro Plus Standing Desk (E7) with the C frame, at the 48” width. Assembling the desk was exceptionally painless. It took some time and a bit of muscle (as the components are HEAVY), but the manufacturing tolerances for everything are very tight. I had absolutely no issues with holes aligning, and the provided screws were also able to self-tap in some places where holes hadn’t been drilled, to provide a more secure attachment between the frame and the desktop. The electronics connected seamlessly, and the included cable management leaves just one wire exposed: the run from the control panel to the motor controller. I am fully convinced that installing this frame on a more extended desktop would be just as easy, I just didn’t have room for it (maybe in the future). Operation of the desk itself is also really painless. The interface is simple and easy to use, and the motors are nice and quiet. There is a built-in safety mechanism that wasn’t advertised, where if the motors encounter resistance, they’ll stop their motion and reverse by about an inch. I DO wish it was possible to configure how much resistance would trigger a stop, as I’m not convinced it’s enough to prevent injury, but that’s a minor complaint. The only problem comes with the fact that I have cats, and that my cats like to jump. Much to my chagrin, my desk constitutes a major path from the floor to the top of a bookshelf and back. I’ve had the desk assembled and in place for about two weeks now, and during this time, my cats have done countless laps of jumping from the floor to the desk to the bookshelf to the desk to the floor. While they are graceful, they are still heavy, and the desk has sustained numerous impacts from 10-20-pound cats at about 2 feet of distance. This has introduced a wobble. In my reading on Flexispot’s website, wobble can be corrected by tightening the bolts at the bottom of the legs. As I recall, there are four such bolts keeping the legs attached to the feet, and it is the loosening of those bolts that causes wobble. But the only way to access those bolts is from below. This leaves me with two options: sliding a pair of sawhorses under the desk and “lowering” the desk until the feet come off the ground (which the aforementioned safety feature might prevent), or clearing off the desk and tilting it to one side—possibly leaning it over entirely. Neither of these options is particularly appealing, and I find myself hoping that the engineers will consider figuring out some way to access and tighten those bolts more easily in future revisions (though as I’m out over $600 on this desk, I can’t say if I’d be keen on upgrading just to have easier access to some bolts). So, the desk is quite good. Amazing, in fact. The build quality is excellent and it has a premium feeling that seems like it’s going to last for years. But my cats are exacerbating the desk’s one design issue by jumping down onto it from on high. In fairness, without four legs, I’m not sure if that could actually be prevented. I am simply now left with the choice of leaving my cats disappointed by removing their access to the bookshelf, or of having to tighten the bolts every few weeks (and I’m hesitant to use something like Loctite, as the bolts may be a deliberate point of failure). If you have cats and plan to use your desk next to a bookshelf, cat tree, or other elevated place where cats like to go, beware this pain.Joshua C.

This my third desk purchase in 3 years. I bought one for my son and two for myself. my recent purchase was a chipboard desktop color black the size a sliced 63'' × 31''. I have say I'm not crazy about the sliced top as it is multiple pieces. Looks clean and classy but if you call yourself lunching at your desk the crumbs can get in. It is very stable but again spills aren't as easy as to wipe up. The keypad pad I elected allowed me to get black legs instead of gray the basic keypad 2 is all black and looking at the up down is impossible. I wish you made the buttons more identifiable. I recently had a medical issue with my eyes and the easier buttons would have worked better since the buttons are fleshed so well to the plastic you can not feel the difference. I also bought the caster wheels so I could move my desk as need be, with a desk this long..be careful I found sometimes shifting weight on desk it feels unstable. At 5'7" 215 I'm solid it made me pause as I used the desk to pull my chair up closer. I really can't go bigger perhaps better in line of other desks the offer. I have 2 monitors laptop table lamp printer and tones of paper. Including keyboard and I have still have writing space. I love my desk for both the professional work space and the health benefits I need to stay healthy and well when I am done working.allyson w.

I saw an online review of desks and I bought an E7 when Flexispot were having one of their regular discount offers as I have been working from home for 18 months now and thought it was time set my workspace up more efficiently. I ordered the desk and desktop together (Grain 48*24cm). The advantage to this is that the mounting holes are pre drilled which makes positioning easy and very happy with the colour. Assembly is surprisingly straightforward but I would recommend watching the assembly videos (2 min long) a couple of times to get things straight in your head. In addition assembly is much easier with a power drill/screwdriver otherwise using a manual screwdriver will be really time consuming. The components are quite heavy and although I did manage to turn the desk over on my own I'm quite a big chap and two would definitely be my recommendation. In terms of cable management I bought a pair of baskets of Amazon and attached them to the underside of the desk which I found much harder than actually assembling the desk! This is pretty necessary otherwise you'll have a forest of wires dangling down. I really like the desk in use – plenty of space and the upwards/downwards motion is really smooth and quick. I've had no vibration issues at any height unless I'm really bashing my keyboard and that's only because I have my monitor on an arm. I have the premium control and use 3 of the 4 presets. I have high draughtsman type chair and have a standing, sitting and a midway setting when I have the chair at it's highest extension. I've actually used the standing setting far more than I anticipated as that seems to be the most comfortable to me. If you are investing in one of these desks I'd recommend decluttering and investing in a few other bits – monitor riser , desk mat, a decent lamp, extra sockets (as you can never have enough) etc. One surprising aspect is that although my desk space has significantly expanded I've saved some space as if by magic! This is because at the end of the working day I can raise the desk to the standing position and slide the chair underneath leaving clear space all around. I saw someone express concern at how well the collision detection works. I have it set to the most sensitive and it works fine both when moving up and down and basically stops and moves slightly in the opposite direction Talking of sensitivity just be aware that the control pad is very sensitive and can be activated just by brushing against it – something to consider when mounting it and I actually moved it back slightly which takes literally two mins as the mounting holes allow it to be moved backwards and forwards. I'm really happy with this desk (moreso than I thought I would be!) and would thoroughly recommend the desk to anyone who wants to optimise their working from home experience, and in addition the adjustable height lends itself to any craft based activities you do.George S.

My partner loves playing video games and has been playing on an old wobbly desk for years. I decided to surprise him with a real gaming desk for our anniversary. He loved it! It’s very sturdy, it was easy to assemble and took me only a little over an hour to put it together on my own. He loves all of the space that it gave him as well as the bottom shelves that allow for his pc tower to not be on the floor. He’s enjoyed the top shelf as well which has allowed him to raise his monitor up so it doesn’t hurt his neck as bad. He’s very pleased!Leah

This is a great desk. I was pleasantly surprised. Easy to put together with clear instructions and THANK YOU for not making me use another allen wrench! Set includes a phillips head screwdriver and does take two people to get it assembled. Solid unit and looks really nice for the price. I did have to contact Tribesigns support for what I thought was a defective piece, but it turned out it wasn't. Fast friendly replies. I'm very happy overall! Good quality wood, solid (not veneer) and well made for the price! Although the drawers do not have metal glides, all parts are well drilled for assemblage and everything goes together easily. Very pleased with both the look and the service.JeanneDeaux

I am very pleased with this purchase. Each piece was very easy to assemble; there were no alignment problems and no missing pieces. The final product looks just like the on-line pictures. Great quality; real wood! Perfect for my son's room…I think he is even spending more time on his homework. You can arrange/orient the five pieces to suit your needs/space constraints. This leads to a very minor "con," which would be that the pieces are stand-alone and do not lock together, which results in a slight separation between the pieces. If this bothers you, you could always buy a few brackets and join them together yourself.Beth

This set is really a good for its price. They are solid and of good color, but they do smell a bit during the first few week of use. If for small kids, I suggest to leave them in your porch or covered deck for a few weeks before actual use..Happyfarmer
