I enjoyed this entire line, and especially the conditioner. It’s smells great and does a fair job at moisturizing- definitely a great choice for people with hair that would ideally use regular tea tree shampoo, but can’t due to how drying it can be. The reason it’s receiving less than 5 stars is primarily for the fact that even though I have little bad to say about it, I only used it 5 or so times before I was craving my favorites, and letting my husband finish the Paul Mitchell bottles. He also liked it! Said the smell was great and his hair felt clean and soft. But when it ran out I asked if he wanted a new supply and he opted to just go back to his previous pick as well. I feel like overall it’s nice, but overpriced and a little mediocre. Also this is a little unrelated, but the more I realize how little Paul Mitchell cares to prevent their product from being diverted the less I care to try their products in the future. It seems like the statements they release on the topic are an act and they just at the end of the day care about the bottom line. We own a Newfoundland that loves the water. Last week of June we had a hot spell where temps were in the 90s consistently for days. Nights were humid. Trying to make sure all our dogs had plenty of water, we neglected to do a brush out at night under our Newfies chin and around his ears. Consequently mats formed over the hot days with areas not drying completely which made the mats worse. Mane n tail was recommended, it does work with smaller mats, I spent several moments every day working on the larger mats, following the directions, with very little success. We learned a valuable lesson with our Newfs fur and what we need to do better. Ended up cutting the larger mats to a smaller size, then applying Mane n Tail working on the smaller size mats. Our Newf was very patient but would only hold still for 1015 minutes provided I moved to different areas on his chin, chest and ears. Chewys delivery was great, smell of the product was fine. If I could give this zero start I would. It left a sticky residue on ny hair that actually added to my tangle problem – I had to rewash it. I love that this can be used on wet or dry hair. I have very fine, blonde color treated hair and it can end up straw like and dehydrated, I just mist this product on and gently pull it through and it totally closes the cuticle and gets rid of all the extra frizz. I was a bit skeptical because i saw a lot of people with much more textured and thick hair saying that it didn’t work well for them for one reason or another. I have 2B hair that has suffered a lot of damage due to using heat & breakage from brushing with the wrong brush. Anyway i love the rosemary and mint oil from this company so i went ahead and got this product. my hair loves it, it leaves my hair looking really shiny and healthy even after straightening. (hair is straightened in photo) my hair looks soooo silky when i dont use heat and let it air dry with this product. My hair doesnt clump up either with this stuff either. In the past ive used other products that clump my hair up and make it all crunchy but not this stuff. The smell is immaculate too!!!! Very badly packaged! Purchased this product with ten other products when everything was $6.99 (I believe it was a Black Friday special). EVERYTHING was damaged!! All ten of the products were thrown in a box with nothing securing them! Well, you can imagine what happened when going through the shipping process. a couple of the products were bursted open which caused all of the products to be greasy and sticky when they arrived to me. Extremely messy! I was highly disappointed but didn’t want to go through the trouble or sending them back. I really love the scent! So sweet with a hint of fruit but not overpowering. I have 3B curly hair and use it for CGM (curly girl method) styling. The product is nice to use on wet hair, makes it softer and easier to manage, it's also good to refresh your curls the next day after washing your hair (I make my hair slightly wet, and use it). I recommend applying some styling gel on top. Never made my hair greasy. As you only need a small amount, this bottle will last for a long time, years, if your hair is short or medium length. I am writing this after using this product the first time. My daughter is 4 with hair halfway down her back. She hates getting it brushed. I have tried expensive leave ins and conditioners, but she always fusses when I brush her hair. Just a few sprays of this in her hair and it was so much easier to brush through. I've used this bottle four times and on the fifth go the pump broke. I haven't even had a chance to use it enough times to give a thorough review of the actual product or a chance to use it on my toddlers curls. A couple things I can say. It didn't weigh down my curls. I'm not super confident it's providing any real moisture to them though. Maybe my pump breaking was just a one off but having a finger pump on such a large bottle is a terrible design in my opinion. It will not be a repurchase now that I have to go purchase a spray bottle in to try to use it up with a grudge and it's definitely not a 'miracle' product.Jacki

This is not a review about the product but rather about the packaging of some hair care products that I have purchased over the years, and I realize that Beauty Brands does not have full influence in changing how products are packaged. The installation of dispensing pumps in shampoo and conditioner products is frustrating when they cannot be opened. The idea that they were invented to create convenience is certainly not that when one is dysfunctional. If I'm lucky, I still have a previously used bottle and can swap out the dysfunctional pump for the working one. Is there any way all shampoo and conditioner bottles can come with the option of a regular cap? These caps seem less expensive and easier to make. An added bonus is the ability to easily tip bottles on their tops when they become increasingly empty. I don't remember ever having difficulty opening a hair care product that has a regular cap, but I quite often have to worry about getting a pump triggered properly before being able to indulge in the luxury that is contained inside of that bottle. I appreciate having this forum to air my grievances and applaud any attempts to correct the dysfunctionality of dispensing pumps for bottles. I am someone who has dealt with dry-scalp, dandruff, and sore/itchy scalp off and on for years. I've tried countless shampoos and conditioners (many of which made specifically to address my problems.)Oddly enough, this shampoo (or "power cleanser") is the only one I've ever used that has addressed all of my problems. I wash my hair with it and condition with the American Crew conditioner every one or two days (depending on my activity level and depending on if I used pomade that day). I do realize that this is for cleaning styling products from your hair, but I most certainly use this as a general shampoo as well. While pricey, this conditioner saved my hair at one of its driest, most brittle points. My hair was EXTREMELY damaged from poorly done relaxers in the past. My hairdresser recommended this to me and immediately, my hair became much softer and more manageable. If your hair is in an extremely damaged state, this is definitely a very, very moisturizing shampoo that didn't strip what little moisture my hair had. However, if your hair doesn't have the most damage, there may be other, less expensive products that would work nearly as well.nina.s

I have used this product since I was 16 years old. I have fine and easily knotted hair. I am now much, much older. Your first container was slender and round, it had a woman and child on it. Your second container was white and had ridges on the upper portion of the bottle. That was fine. This current bottle is made for a a huge man hand and is hard for a smaller hand to put around it. Please change the container unless you think only big, burly men are the only ones using this product. If this was user-friendly, I think more would use the product. I’m obsessed with this detangling spray for my son! It smells great, it’s easy to use, and it works well! My son has longer, shaggy hair just like his father and this stuff is great for preventing tangles and helping his hair stay smooth, silky, and shiny. AND THE SMELL! I love how “clean” it makes my son’s hair smell. So good. I will say the plastic top on the bottle can break easily which essentially renders the whole entire bottle unusable (unless you’ve got another spray bottle on hand to pour it in) and that can be annoying if you accidentally drop it – but it’s not Johnson’s fault that I’m clumsy! It makes my hair so soft. But, I’ve noticed more hair loss through shedding as well as breakage. Also, it does not make my hair shiny, it actually kind of gives it a dull and “heavy” appearance. The smell is not so great in my opinion. It smells artificial and plastic like. One awesome plus is how easily my hair detangles! Like I have literally no tangles after washing my hair. The shampoo cleans well and moisturizers, and the conditioner is amazingly moisturizing. My long thick hair tangles easily and always requires additional moisturizers after my shower. I love the Dream Lengths products! Finally something that got rid of the winter dryness and static in my hair!! I have waist-length hair and the indoor heat and dry winter air had my ends super dry. Now my ends are soft and the wave is back in my hair, no more flat winter hair. I use the Elvive Dream Lengths Restoring Shampoo and the Dream Lengths Super Detangler Conditioner in the shower, then put a light amount of Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream on as a leave-in on towel-dried wet hair (on length of hair, not on scalp) before I comb my hair with a wide-tooth comb. I've been putting a little extra of the cream on my ends after combing. I use the Dream Lengths Frizz Killer Serum in the morning on dry hair to add shine (I rub a small amount between my hands then smooth my hair with it). All these products leave my hair super shiny (other people have noticed) and no longer dry or frizzy and my scalp feels clean even if I skip washing. I received my leave in-knot away detangler complimentary @influenster. My first impression was that it smelled good, it's environment friendly and has attractive packaging. The detangler targets to hydrate and moisturizer dry hair. Unfortunately in my experience, this product does just enough to keep you in the edge in terms of both moisturizing and detangling dry hair. I tried it on my toddlers hair who has fine curls, yet dry hair. The product did not necessarily moisturize like I hoped but it alleviate the knots. Crème of nature is everything more. My hair is thick coarse and is very dry. Coconut oil for this girl won’t do. Coconut oil is a little too heavy for my hair pattern and is sometimes too greasy. But one thing I’ve learned about myself my hair is that it’s preferred butter of choice is shea butter! Thanks to crème of nature of course. It’s silky. It’s medium weighted. But once you run it through your curls it’s weightless. This is my absolute fav leave in. My hair prefers cream style leave in which this one is creamy, silky, dreamy. It’s super affordable for the most part you can find it anywhere including Walmart!! Love sulfate free products this is natural has nothing harmful in it. Why do brands think women want to smell like food? I love the sea salt spray from NYM so I thought I'd try other products. Decent detangling job. Won't make me ditch my regular brand. And the name of this one is so fitting, Knotty to nice. It works like a charm, and smells delightful! It doesn't matter if you spray onto wet, towel dried, or a little bit on dry hair, it does a great job of smoothing detangling your hair. I love how silky smooth my hair is after using this, and a major plus is that it isn't oily, or make your hair feel hard and crunchy like some brands detanglers I've tried before. Back when I had super long hair, I used this product almost daily because my hair would tangle even after showering with conditioner. This stuff helps so much. ok so I had knots in my hair, that was from shampooing it and letting it air dry, so I'm like I need to find something, this said extreme I'm like ok great, so when I first got the bottle first thought was small, I could definitely say I thought I was getting a bigger bottle, no I'm not good with maths, however the detangler worked, the instructions said not to wash it out, it suppose to be like a leave in, I ended up shampooing my hair after using the detangler, I sprayed some on a good decent amount I'm sure the bottle on half, maybe three quarter, and I took a big teeth comb and it was very easy to comb out I will say hair still fell out, but that doesn't matter, it was able to comb through the knots most importantly, before the detangler, the comb was on the verge of breaking, overall good purchase, just see myself buying another bottle faster than expected.AMAZING

I got this for my Jon Renau HD wig because it was matted and frizzy just after a few wears and this was recommended to me as a solution. I can’t say this changed my situation much but I don’t think this product is to blame, it’s the quality of the wig I suppose. After coming out with this product the wig is tangled again after wearing it for an hour.
My hairpieces after about a month have been getting frizzy, ratty ends and nothing helped. I just purchased this product and it worked like a charm! I will never be without it. I could not believe how awesome my wig ends looked after using. Its a miracle. Thank you John Renau for such a great product!
The product works well for both detangling and conditioning. I use it nightly on the ends of NOT heat-friendly synthetic hair, combing it first with a wide tooth comb, then following with a tighter tooth comb, and third, a very close-tooth comb, then using hair clips horizontally to press those wild ends, due to their frizzy, non-friendly-heat pieces. It doesn’t “cure" it, but surely helps!

This is such a cute and sturdy brush. My head is very sensitive and I absolutely hate brushing my hair and even more so when it’s dry. I have 3b type hair and I don’t normally use brushes with bristles like these anymore, but I decided to try it on my dry and tangled hair and I have to say that I like it. The bristles are a lot softer than I expected and they move with your hair while you brush so it makes it a lot less painful. And because the bristles are soft they can get damaged pretty easily. Thankfully, it comes with its own case that protects them! Overall I’m enjoying this brush and I think it’s time to ditch my old one for this one 3shana.a
This brush is the best brush I’ve honestly ever used on my curly hair. It is nice and flexible to reduce the tension on the hair which helps with breakage. My hairdresser recommended a flexible, soft bristle brush when I had my extensions put in, so it wouldn't tear at my scalp when I brush my hair. I was worried it wouldn't work well without stiff bristles, but this brush is great! It works well to detangle and it is so much more gentle on my hair than my old paddle brush.
