I have wavy/ curly hair and I saw a lot of people suggest a brush like this. I am happy with the results, I put my product in and then brushed through when my hair was wet and it did seem to help with definition. I’ve seen where people separate and trust each curl clump, but I simply brushed as normal. The only thing is that you have to start at the bottom of your hair or your tangles will be worse. I am IN LOVE with this brush! When I purchased this brush I was mostly buying it for my 5 year old. She has very very thick curly hair that goes all the way down to her tailbone. Because of that her hair knots so easily and shes really tenderheaded so i usually wait to brush her hair while im washing it. Ive tried SO MANY brushes meant to detangle and meant to be used on wet hair and all that. It would take FOREVER to get her hair brushed, about an hour at the least. But then i found this brush, and it has helped so much! It only takes 20-30 mins to brush her hair at the most. It's so easy to brush it. My daughter loves this brush too because "it doesnt hurt when you brush it anymore mama" lol. What I thought was really cool about this brush was that I can slide up the brush part and take out the brissles and clean it easily! The only hard part is remembering where the brissles go once youre done cleaning it. The only thing I could see being a problem is the fact that the brush part slides up, it may end up sliding up while youre brushing. I havent really had this issue other than the it sliding up a tiny bit but I honestly dont even notice it until I'm done brushing. It also has a silicone grip at the end of the handle. I have a couple of these. One I use for my hair, it is naturally curly and colour treated. I find this gentle, but effective at removing knots and generally smoothing out my hair, without breakage. They now do one with a handle which I think would suit me better, although this one is quite comfortable to hold, I think a handle will make it more efficient, as my hair is quite long. I bought this for my daughter who has very straight, very thick, very matted on the daily hair. Normally I use a boar bristle brush but she gets a lot of lint and fuzz stuck in her tangles so that brush gets dirty too quickly and causes lots of static. She was acting like I was ripping her hair out while using this brush to get through tangled knots. Using it vertically helps but we've gone back to her old brush for her hair. This is too much like a comb almost, it's like it finds the rats nest, but you basically have to go through it hair strand by hair strand picking it apart or you're just ripping through it. Now personally, I've started using this brush and I really like it. I have very fine, thin, wavy hair and I find this takes my minimal knots out quickly and easily and it also makes my hair really smooth. My favorite part though is how easy it is to clean, you never have that issue that regular brushes do where they get full of lint and hair. I loved this brush. this is the first detangling brush that is easy on my scalp. I always had problems growing my hair because it's curly and until now. I used to buy the As Seen on TV hair brushes that work really well at detangling but after a while I started to feel like it wasn't doing my thick wavy/curly hair any good. Amazing for detangling. Like amazing! I use it in the shower with a slippery conditioner because I have a super sensitive scalp aka tender headed. I use it almost everyday because I like the way the bristles feel on my scalp. My one gripe is that it breaks easily. I've been. Through at least five of these brushes because of this. I am using this brush in my daughter's hair which is long and wavy. It is amazing to painlessly get out the knots. This is the only place online I could get it in pink. I have tried the Popular mix in her hair but I could not detangle with that. I also tried the wide comb but it was time consuming and painful. This brush takes care of her knots in a jiffy and it really looks smooth and shiny! I have also tried this brush in my other daughter's hair which is long and straight. Having about 6 Mason & Pearson brushes (they last forever) as well as several combs, this was exactly what I wanted. The nylon bristles are a bit softer than other M/P brushes, as was expected; if you have hair that tangles, this brush is for you. The hair on the top and back of my head gets very tangled, especially when the hair has just been washed; it’s a breeze to wash the hair now & run the brush through it. So I first used this when my hair was blown out and straight (day 5 so very oily) and it detangled it EFFORTLESSLY. Maybe 2-3 strands of hair came out. I washed my hair right after, applied my TGIN co-wash and detangler, and it glided right through. It took out about as much as as when I finger comb. So easy to use and the hair removal is so easy so my brush is clean at all times. I also used it after apply my TGIN Green Tea Leave In Condition & Hair Milk, with my Ouidad Anti Frizz Gel. I had such a hard time, but I gave it 2 stars because it does its job. I have 3b/c hair and it felt like a full-on workout! Cleaning it is a nightmare, too. The shed hair gets stuck around the brush so much I can't pull it off and resort to cutting the hair off. If you have wavy or straight hair, this'll glide through your hair like a dream. I have a fine hair but a lot of it which means it easily tangles up and it is a pain trying to get it back in order. This brush has literally been life changing. My hair had a 2" growing spurt which brought it down past my belt line this year. Learning how to brush this wavy mess has been a slow process! I have tried a ton of different "no pull" and "detangle" brushes from drug store to premier brands and this is this first brush she not only lets me use, but likes. She's 6 1/2 and has never cut her hair so it is quite long. I’m actually surprised at how well this brushes my hair. I have long (down to my lower back) hair that is thick and wavy. I usually have it tied up because it knots easily and I can’t breathe when it is down. So, the fact that this brush can smooth out my hair and get rid of the knots is really surprising. In my experience, it works better than my wet brush did because it doesn’t pull at my hair. I’ve had less breakage and smoother brushing. The only reason I gave it a four is that although it is beautiful, it does feel a bit cheap due to the plastic body of the brush. Prior to purchasing this, I was using a wide tooth comb in my hair while in the shower but recently it’s been more tangled than usual so I was looking for something different. I read the reviews on this and decided to give it a shot and was VERY DISAPPOINTED. Upon taking it out of the packaging, the first thing I noticed was that it was very lightweight and made out of a very cheap dollar store-like plastic (if you feel it, you will know what I mean). The handle is made out of the same plastic and is hollow. I had to go back and look at the packaging because I thought maybe this was meant to be for kids or a toy for doll hair. For the price, quality is severely lacking. Next, I will mention that I have thicker hair (nothing too thick, but since it’s wavy it’s on the thicker side) and although the packaging says for all hair types, I would disagree. The bristles are EXTREMELY fine and I noticed that my hair wasn’t even going through the brush – the bristles would bend on contact with my hair and the hair would glide along the surface but the bristles wouldn’t actually run through my hair since they were so thin. I had to part my hair in very small sections and monitor each time to see if the brush was even going through my hair. Since I have more volume up top, the brush wouldn’t run through there either so I had to comb through the hair near my scalp with my tangle teezer. The bristles should have been thicker and sturdier, especially since they are meant to work on wet/damp hair which is heavier than dry hair. Shocked to see all these 5 star reviews and not one person agrees with my sentiments. I’d say this brush is good for kids or people with fine hair but you have curly/wavy hair or thick hair, do your research and find a brush that’s actually worth your moneyzeee
Wanted to love this brush and it worked great for a little while but eventually the bristles (like 1/4) started going into the cushioned portion of the brush so the bristles don’t run through my hair at all. Some of the bristles have also started to come out completely when removing hair from the brush. I bought multiple so it’s a real bummer!HCarm

I'm very picky about brushes because my scalp is very sensitive to pain. The brush is flexible enough to not rip at my hair. I generally don't let my hair get too terribly tangled so I'm not sure how it would perform against very tangled hair, but for every day use I love this brush so much I got a second one.
