This is a great brush. I have long and thick hair that is always tangled. I spend a good 15 minutes after showering getting tangles out and still have to brush it several times a day to keep tangles at bay. As exhausting as that may sound, I do love my long hair and will do whatever I have to do to keep it long and looking good. I find that the best way to attack my tangles is to use 2 different brushes. After showering, I will use or any good leave in spray as well as on my ends and then start brushing with brush #1 until I find that I’m not making as much progress with it. Then, I simply switch to brush #2 and the remaining tangles usually brush through pretty easily. Doesn’t really matter which specific brushes I use, as long as it’s 2 different kinds. I find that my works best as my brush #2. If you struggle with detangling, definitely give this brush and method a shot!alex.a
The Tangle Teezer for thick and curly hair is okay. For the price, the brush is really light in weight and cheap feeling. Also, it is made for right handed people and not left, which I feel a little bit left out on. My hair is super thick and course with some waves and curls, and I normally use a denman brush. When brushing, I did see there were only 4 strands of my hair left in the brush, which tells me it’s probably pretty gentle, and I did see some benefits from the long bristles that were actually able to reach my scalp unlike some other brushes. I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn’t have thick hair, not even if you have medium and curly. The bristles would just be way too long for thin to normal hair thickness and cause pain on the scalp. I have tried this brush before the shower the detangle and still didn’t have many tangles when wasting my hair. Only time will be able to tell if this will cause damage to my hair. I am not exaggerating when I say this brush is the best brush I have ever used for my daughter's hair. She's 4 and has her hair down to the middle of her back. The texture of her hair is like mine, fine, but she has a lot of it. She always wakes up with a proverbial rat's nest (as my mother referred to masses of tangles) smack dab in the middle of the back of her head. I used to dread brushing her hair in the mornings before school. Now, with this Frida Baby Detangling brush, i have no worries. With a brush that had the same detangling claims as this one, I would use detangling spray but it would take at least 5 minutes to work my way through her hair, oftentimes longer. I still use the detangling spray but only where it's needed now, and start in with the Frida Baby brush and it takes 2 minutes tops to get her hair smoothed out. I honestly don't know what the secret is with this magical brush. The bristles are spaced out a bit and are thin and flexible. It comes with a handy cover to keep the bristles' shape. The only improvement I could see with this magic wand is maybe a bit of grippy coating on the handle which is still quite comfortable to hold as is. I am IN LOVE with this brush! When I purchased this brush I was mostly buying it for my 5 year old. She has very very thick curly hair that goes all the way down to her tailbone. Because of that her hair knots so easily and shes really tenderheaded so i usually wait to brush her hair while im washing it. I loved this brush. this is the first detangling brush that is easy on my scalp. I always had problems growing my hair because it's curly and until now. I believe this brush really helped stimulate my hair and made it grow really long. the only reason this brush gets a 4 star because i think there can be some improvements. I used this brush every time I get out of the shower and after 8 months of using it, it broke near the handle. I might've been applying too much pressure at times? but I still think it shouldn't break. Also, the logo faded after month 2 or using it. Other then that, I will be purchaing again because i think this product really helped me.Qween
Probably one of the best hair brushes I've ever owned. The ordinary vented plastic brush I purchased from my local drugstore kept pulling my hair out every time I brushed. This brush is so unique, it doesn't tug on my hair. The massaging feel is so luxurious on the scalp. I had 2 men in the family try it and they were like whoa!! Definitely 10/10 recommended. I was horrified at the idea of using a brush on insanely wet hair, or even whilst in the shower – but so many women loved it, I thought I’d get it for myself. I have a couple of these. One I use for my hair, it is naturally curly and colour treated. I find this gentle, but effective at removing knots and generally smoothing out my hair, without breakage. They now do one with a handle which I think would suit me better, although this one is quite comfortable to hold, I think a handle will make it more efficient, as my hair is quite long. The other one I have, I use on my cats bedding (I’ve labelled it to avoid mixing them up lol) she’s a hairy cat 🐱 and this works a dream on faux fur furniture and blankets – the vacuum cleaner is useless as her fur is so fine. #tangleteezerjj.a
