I have wavy/ curly hair and I saw a lot of people suggest a brush like this. I am happy with the results, I put my product in and then brushed through when my hair was wet and it did seem to help with definition. I am IN LOVE with this brush! When I purchased this brush I was mostly buying it for my 5 year old. She has very very thick curly hair that goes all the way down to her tailbone. Because of that her hair knots so easily and shes really tenderheaded so i usually wait to brush her hair while im washing it. Ive tried SO MANY brushes meant to detangle and meant to be used on wet hair and all that. It would take FOREVER to get her hair brushed, about an hour at the least. But then i found this brush, and it has helped so much! It only takes 20-30 mins to brush her hair at the most. It's so easy to brush it. My daughter loves this brush too because "it doesnt hurt when you brush it anymore mama" lol. What I thought was really cool about this brush was that I can slide up the brush part and take out the brissles and clean it easily! The only hard part is remembering where the brissles go once youre done cleaning it. The only thing I could see being a problem is the fact that the brush part slides up, it may end up sliding up while youre brushing. I havent really had this issue other than the it sliding up a tiny bit but I honestly dont even notice it until I'm done brushing. It also has a silicone grip at the end of the handle. I have a couple of these. One I use for my hair, it is naturally curly and colour treated. I find this gentle, but effective at removing knots and generally smoothing out my hair, without breakage. They now do one with a handle which I think would suit me better, although this one is quite comfortable to hold, I think a handle will make it more efficient, as my hair is quite long. I used to dread brushing her hair in the mornings before school. Now, with this Frida Baby Detangling brush, i have no worries. With a brush that had the same detangling claims as this one, I would use detangling spray but it would take at least 5 minutes to work my way through her hair, oftentimes longer. I still use the detangling spray but only where it's needed now, and start in with the Frida Baby brush and it takes 2 minutes tops to get her hair smoothed out. I honestly don't know what the secret is with this magical brush. The bristles are spaced out a bit and are thin and flexible. It comes with a handy cover to keep the bristles' shape. The only improvement I could see with this magic wand is maybe a bit of grippy coating on the handle which is still quite comfortable to hold as is. Not that I expect it to any time soon but I will definitely be buying another one of these when this one shows signs of wearing out. I have a daughter who has very fine hair. She loves keeping it extremely long but unfortunately that can be a recipe for disaster as far as tangles go. We have tried so many brushes on her hair but didn’t find one we loved until this one. It is the best brush we have ever tried. She often complains about brushing her hair hurting saying that either it’s catching the tangles too much or the bristles are too hard. This brush has solved both those problems for us. The first stroke through her hair amazed me. The brush went through her hair easily and her hair instantly looked smooth and tangle free. The bristles are soft and very flexible. They brush through her hair but don’t scratch her scalp. I love that this brush is specifically designed for fine hair. I didn’t know there were brushed designed specifically for that but now after using this one I can definitely see the difference. I asked her what she thought while I was brushing her hair and she said she loved it. She said it’s gentle and it doesn’t hurt. For once she was actually excited to have me brushing her hair because it was so comfortable for her. I’m so happy that we have finally discovered the perfect brush for her. The cover to protect the bristles is really unique as well. I feel super silly leaving a review for hair brush. But this one is so amazing I just had to! I used to buy the As Seen on TV hair brushes that work really well at detangling but after a while I started to feel like it wasn't doing my thick wavy/curly hair any good. I got this brush after I've been sick and couldn't brush my hair for two weeks, I know that's sad but I would get super duper sick where I can't do anything. I was afraid it was going to take me forever to brush out my hair and that I was going to need detangler however I was pleasantly surprised to find that this brush glided right through my thick hair Tangles and all with no problem! I thought it was going to take me an hour to brush my hair because it was so tangled I thought I was going to have to cut it because it was so tangled but nope this brush handled it like a boss! It's cheaper than the As Seen On TV brushes I think I got this for about 6 bucks at Walgreens super duper happy with how well it works highly recommend!jenny.b
Having a good hair brush is absolutely essential if you have long hair. I bought several hair brushes this year after somehow losing my favorite one. I tried a few different kinds and they all were terrible, the bristles we're too stiff and literally hurt my head to use, or they were spaced too far apart from each other and wouldn't get through any tangles. Finally I came across this Revlon hairbrush. The soft grip is amazing, gives me more control. The bristles are perfect, as Goldilocks said, not too hard, not to soft, it was juuuuuust right. This is such a cute and sturdy brush. My head is very sensitive and I absolutely hate brushing my hair and even more so when it’s dry. I have 3b type hair and I don’t normally use brushes with bristles like these anymore, but I decided to try it on my dry and tangled hair and I have to say that I like it. The bristles are a lot softer than I expected and they move with your hair while you brush so it makes it a lot less painful. And because the bristles are soft they can get damaged pretty easily. Thankfully, it comes with its own case that protects them! Overall I’m enjoying this brush and I think it’s time to ditch my old one for this one 3shana.a
This brush is the best brush I’ve honestly ever used on my curly hair. It is nice and flexible to reduce the tension on the hair which helps with breakage. It glides through the hair and makes it easy to detangle. It is also super easy to clean because the bristles are smooth and allows the hair to be pulled right off. My hair had a 2" growing spurt which brought it down past my belt line this year. Learning how to brush this wavy mess has been a slow process! My ion brush- paddle brush and the worse is my comb in the shower with my conditioner. I'm happily complaining because I never dreamed of reaching this length 🙂 I love love Love this new brush! Because Ulta likes to inflate my low ratings, let me preface this by saying I'm giving 2 stars. My hair is type 4, almost bra strap length, medium-high density and coarseness, and high shrinkage. This is an okay brush for detangling lower density hair, I think. I find that it can go through the ends pretty well. It works good on my thin/broken off areas, but it struggles to get through the fuller, higher density areas. Especially the roots. I have to section too much to get anywhere and I still feel resistance. Hair is the weakest when wet, so I'm hesitant to use much force. I think the teeth are too short and too stiff. I know the original Ultimate Detangler has more flexible teeth, and that there's a bigger one with more surface area, but there aren't any with longer teeth as far as I know. And having longer teeth is what would make it able to get through thicker sections easier. Brushes like the Wet Brush are the only brushes that go through my hair comfortably in the shower. Because they're so flexible and don't cause resistance, I don't have to worry about them ripping through my hair and can detangle pretty carelessly and without having to see what I'm doing. I think it'd work well for defining and smoothing in product on hair that's already been detangled, but it's marketed as a detangling tool, so that's how I'm judging it.Eoness
I used this Tangle Teaser brush on soaking wet hair with TGIN Miracle deep conditioner, and let me tell you this brush slipped through my hair like butter! I have 4C hair that is a huge chore to detangle. I had been using a wide tooth comb on soaking wet hair slathered with conditioner and my hair STILL was tough to detangle– BUT THIS BRUSH just glided through my hair so easily. I KNOW that if I had been using this brush to detangle all along I could have saved so much hair that's been ripped out in the past. The tangle Teaser also made my curls pop as I was using it- and that definitely wasn't happening when I detangled my hair with my wide tooth comb! I took off a star because even though it detangles the hair so well, using the brush is like holding a wet noodle because it's so slippery. They need to add a textured silicone grip on the handle, and/or make the handle with an oblong hole cut out in the middle of it so you can stick your hand in the hole and hold on to the brush while you detangle your hair.NJ1
This review is for people who struggle to brush their hair. I have extremely thick hair and have always struggled to untangle the massive knots I get, to the point where I'd just avoid brushing my hair all together and wear it up almost every day. I'm really pleased with how gently and effectively this product removes tangles without damage. It's a beautiful hairbrush and seems really durable. The bristles are kind of rough which I feel helps to stimulate your scalp, so if you are more sensitive to scalp pain I wouldn't recommend this product unless you're very gentle with it. Take note that you cannot use this product with heat, which is no issue for me as I never use heat on my hair. 10/10 recommend this product for people like me with similar hair concerns/ issues!Ceci

I’m actually surprised at how well this brushes my hair. I have long (down to my lower back) hair that is thick and wavy. I usually have it tied up because it knots easily and I can’t breathe when it is down. So, the fact that this brush can smooth out my hair and get rid of the knots is really surprising. In my experience, it works better than my wet brush did because it doesn’t pull at my hair. I’ve had less breakage and smoother brushing. The only reason I gave it a four is that although it is beautiful, it does feel a bit cheap due to the plastic body of the brush. Prior to purchasing this, I was using a wide tooth comb in my hair while in the shower but recently it’s been more tangled than usual so I was looking for something different. I read the reviews on this and decided to give it a shot and was VERY DISAPPOINTED. Upon taking it out of the packaging, the first thing I noticed was that it was very lightweight and made out of a very cheap dollar store-like plastic (if you feel it, you will know what I mean). The handle is made out of the same plastic and is hollow. I had to go back and look at the packaging because I thought maybe this was meant to be for kids or a toy for doll hair. For the price, quality is severely lacking. Next, I will mention that I have thicker hair (nothing too thick, but since it’s wavy it’s on the thicker side) and although the packaging says for all hair types, I would disagree. The bristles are EXTREMELY fine and I noticed that my hair wasn’t even going through the brush – the bristles would bend on contact with my hair and the hair would glide along the surface but the bristles wouldn’t actually run through my hair since they were so thin. I had to part my hair in very small sections and monitor each time to see if the brush was even going through my hair. Since I have more volume up top, the brush wouldn’t run through there either so I had to comb through the hair near my scalp with my tangle teezer. The bristles should have been thicker and sturdier, especially since they are meant to work on wet/damp hair which is heavier than dry hair. Shocked to see all these 5 star reviews and not one person agrees with my sentiments. I’d say this brush is good for kids or people with fine hair but you have curly/wavy hair or thick hair, do your research and find a brush that’s actually worth your moneyzeee
Wanted to love this brush and it worked great for a little while but eventually the bristles (like 1/4) started going into the cushioned portion of the brush so the bristles don’t run through my hair at all. Some of the bristles have also started to come out completely when removing hair from the brush. I bought multiple so it’s a real bummer!HCarm

I decided to switch to wooden brushes after seeing a few Youtubers hype about it. This brush is definitely nice and of good quality. I've seen other bamboo brushes having chipped bristles which frightened me. It pulls out less hair as it's quick to say stop, and detangles beautifully. My only gripe about it is that the cushion isn't as soft as on TEK wooden brushes. Having a softer cushion would make the bristles feel much more like a scalp massage. And as with all brushes, it does tend to get dirty and isn't the easiest to clean. I recommend to never use this brush if you've used oils in your hair, use a comb instead to keep this brush fresh for longer.frivolousgirl

This is an amazingly durable brush. I’ve had the same brush for seven years and it shows no signs of wearing. All of the wooden bristles are still firmly in place and the brush is in great condition. I switched over from plastic and I will never go back. The bristles are a solid piece of wood so you never have to worry about the tips falling off and exposing a sharp bristle (like their plastic counterparts) and it’s not like the cheap plastic brushes that bristles can rip from the base if you hit a large enough snag in your hair. I have an extremely sensitive scalp but this bristles on this brush feel like a massage on your scalp. I can not say enough good things about this brush, I fully recommend!kaila.m
