We had a REALLY BAD clog. The water wasn’t going down whatsoever and even the bathtub in the second bathroom was clogged. We bought 2 bottles of this, we poured down the first one through the top drain (that prevents the water from overflowing) because the tub was full of water then simultaneously plunged both bath tubs. Initially I tried white distilled vinegar and baking soda which didn't work; in fact, it made my tub drain even slower! Then I bought Drainbo which is a natural product but it didn't work either because it wasn't strong enough so I returned it to Ace for a full refund. Then I bought Liquid Plumr Hair Eliminator and used it the next day on my very slowwwww draining tub that now took 2 days to completely drain and to my relief, it worked! I read the reviews first and decided to let it sit in my tub drain for 90 minutes instead of the recommended 15 minutes due to how long it took my tub to drain but it might have worked better had I let it sit for 2 hours…then I flushed with hot water which backed up again so I started plunging…and plunging…and plunging some more and then the clog finally cleared! I tried snaking the drain and chemical-based cleaner and boiling water and a plunger. Although the snake pulled out a couple of hairballs, nothing was successful in making it drain faster. So I stumbled on this in home depot and decided to give it a shot. I followed the instructions for a large clog; I poured two packs in the sink before bed last night. I added a little bit of hot water to wash down the product that had stuck to the sink basin and it started to smell horrible. As I understand it, it isn't this product that causes the smell but rather the decades of filth breaking down. In the morning, I boiled a kettle of water and poured it down the drain. Unfortunately, it seemed that the drain was now completely clogged. I drew a line on the sink basin to mark the height of the water and then checked back every few minutes to see if the water level was going down at all. It wasn't. It just stayed completely clogged for almost an hour when suddenly all the water started to drain. It wasn't draining quickly yet though, so I turned on the hot water tap to continue flushing down more hot water, and lo and behold, the sink was now completely clear!! It has never drained so well!!! We've decided to drop a pack down all our drains just to clear them all up a little bit too. I really can't recommend this product enough but if it seems like it's made it worse, I recommend just giving it some more time to work its magic and use a lot of very hot water.LongHairDontCare

I have used other drain cleaners before that didn't fix the problem. My kitchen sink and shower drain to the same pipe. It often first backs up into my shower then drains. Over the weekend it stopped draining all together. After using a box of baking soda and a litre of vinegar and lots of plunging I found this product. It cleared my drain in no time. I used it a little differently than the directions. I poured 2 packets down the kitchen sink. I filled the sink with water and let it dissolve slowly. It back flowed into my shower and down it went. I've tried many products to remove the soap scum from the marble shower walls. Marble is a soft stone and sensitive to low pH. Many cleaners warn not to put the product on stone. Well. This Rejuvenate really does the job without damaging the marble! I first tried it on a single column of tiles what WERE so scummy that there was no shine to the surface. Hmmm, pretty good. After a second application, WOW. Nearly as shiny as the new tiles at the top of the shower. So I treated the whole shower and vinyl shower curtain. Wonderful results. To speed things up (this layer of scum was pretty thick), I used a net scrubby over the worst areas near the bottom of the shower walls. After thorough rinsing I have applied a protective product to help keep the scum at bay. Looks nearly new again. To be honest, the shower curtain had some dark mold stains that lightened, but were still visible. Probably will need to wash with some bleach to eliminate those stains. I had a slow moving shower drain for over a year that had gotten slower over time and was to the point that it was barely even moving anymore. I tried to a plunger and a shop vac 1st which did absolutely no good so I went on to a drill powered auger. The auger helped a little bit but it was still draining very slowly and had standing water in the tub. After reading the reviews I decided to try this product. I followed the instructions exactly!! I used 1 packet because I noticed my tub drain slowing; not clogged. About halfway through the wait time I could smell scent of “rotten eggs” wafting into my bedroom. I flushed drain immediately with extremely hot water and let tub run on hot for 30 minutes. Nothing could stop the smell. I kept flushing water down tub drain for additional 30 minutes. Finally I poured baking soda down drain and followed up with vinegar just to help freshen drain and hopefully squelch smell. It’s been 4 hours of all doors/windows open, fans gunning, and it’s finally starting to dissipate. Did it work? Maybe; don’t care now. Not using again. Sticking a to baking soda/vinegar maintenance, liquid plumber for slowing, professional plumber for anything worse.bigsalad

I read some reviews who had success with this drain unclogger so I decided to try it. My kitchen sink has a tough clog so I specifically followed the package directions but, the drain is still clogged. However, this stuff discolored the inside of the sink drain. I also used it in my bathroom sink, which has a drain mechanism that closes by pushing down on the lever on the faucet if you want to fill the sink with water. This product took the color off the drain mechanism, which was a deep bronze color but, now it is a brass color. They claim that this product is safe for pipes but, what it did to my sinks makes me wonder how safe it really is. I used several drain cleaners throughout the years and none of them ever caused any damage! I am returning this product and I will contact the company directly.Tira12

When I first purchased this Liquid-Plumr Industrial Strength Urgent Clear Drain Clog Remover, I wasn't really sure it would be better than anything else I've tried. I had a slow draining bathtub, but I wanted to wait until it was really backing up before using it. I wanted to see how well it really worked! It finally got to that point last week and I told my boyfriend that it's time to try this stuff out. I poured the whole bottle down the drain and ended up waiting a little over the 15 minutes before flushing it with how water. I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I purchased Drano max gel clog remover. It says that it is guaranteed to clear packages. I use this on a slow drain that had hair in it. I followed the directions and used approximately half the bottle and waited and then rinsed with hot water. The drain does seem to be running faster now, but I might use the rest of the bottle to clear anything else out. It's a thick liquid with a strong smell so make sure there is ample ventilation. I would purchase this product again.

The instructions on how to use the Drano are very simple and easy to follow. I poured the Drano in my kitchen sink to get the greasy buildup and food pieces out. I let it sit and then poured the hot water down the drain and I noticed the water went down a lot faster than before. I highly recommend this product for a quick and easy fix. The only thing I don't like is the chemical smell it gives off while it's sitting in the drain. Wish they had fresh scent fragrances. But I would definitely recommend to a friend! My bathroom sink drain was VERY slow. My husband's identical drain works great. I used a whole jug (80 oz.) of Drano Max Gel, in 3 installments, waiting each time before "flushing" with hot water. When I turned on the hot water, with the drain open, it quickly accumulated to a depth of about 2 inches, and when I turned off the water, it took 25 or 30 seconds to drain. Not much different from before I used the Drano. Not impressed. The jug said to come to www.drano.com for the details on "Guaranteed or it's free," but I couldn't find any such details. My advice is to try a different brand.

I was surprised when I was offered this product as I had just been looking for a sink/drain cleaner as the kitchen sink plug hole was starting to smell. This product has worked a treat, there was obviously an issue somewhere in the pipe as the plug hole is no longer smelling and the water is flowing freely. Will use this again if I have any similar problems.

We always get this Domestos drain unblocker, having had less success with another brand. We use it on our shower drain, which every now and then gets blocked. We also just used it on our kitchen sink drain which was smelling foul – if yours does then first check your outside drain isn't smelling too. If it is then the sewer is blocked and this won't sort sewers. But for our kitchen sink Domestos drain unblocker worked perfectly – smell gone and it drains with a satisfying gurgle at the end. I would recommend leaving this in the drain for a full 2 hours if possible for the most effect, then wash it down with a kettle of boiling hot water. A very powerful product and the best I have come across.Jim99
