Choosing the best DSP for your home audio setup can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. With some key considerations in mind, you’ll be equipped to find the perfect DSP that takes your listening experience to new heights.
First, think about the size and configuration of your space. A large, open concept living room will demand a different DSP than a small, dedicated home theater. Consider how many speakers you need to power, if you’ll add surround sound, and your long-term expansion plans. This will guide your required number of outputs and channels.
It’s also important to consider your audio sources. Will you primarily listen to music, watch movies, or use your DSP for multi-room playback? Certain DSPs cater to specific listening goals. And if you anticipate adding streaming devices or wireless compatibility down the road, ensure your DSP has the connectivity options you need built-in or available.
Ease of use is another key factor. Do you want a DSP you can configure yourself with intuitive software? Or would you rather have your integrator handle the setup? There are solutions that cater to all comfort levels. Read reviews to get a sense of the programming and calibration workflow.
By weighing your room needs, audio goals, connectivity plans, and ease of use preferences, you’ll find the perfect DSP to take your home audio to the next level. Ready to experience music and movies as the artist and director intended? Let the hunt for the perfect DSP begin!

Reviews:
It took me a short time to learn how it works. Implementing it was not as rewarding. On my system (asus laptop, preamp, power amps) it is incredibly noisy when hooked up to usb, which it must be to adjust anything. Sounds like a windstorm. Likely a usb groundloop, but I'm also running everything out of the laptop thru a usb dac, and it is dead quiet. Also found if I powered it thru the usb cable with an ac adapter (charger) it also produced audible noise (tho much less) w/o even being connected to the laptop. So I use an ac adapter thru the dc in and it's thankfully quiet. Unfortunately it's one of the few tools of its kind and I need it to run my biamped uTrynergy speakers which demand custom crossovers and lots of EQ meddling. So I'm keeping it.Jon
I bought the 2x4HD to use in conjunction with a DSP408 as the "Master" processor for my car audio system. I have 4-way mains that the DSP408 handles and needed more channels to integrate the subs. I had the OpenDRC in mind for the extra power and channels but opted for the 2x4HD because it can directly act as a DAC with my phone and can be upgraded to Dirac. Originally I was going to use it purely to integrate the subs with the mains, using my head unit as the main controller for the system, but when I saw it could act as a DAC streaming directly from my phone, I had to try using it that way so I included the OTG cable that Parts Express carries in my order. After hooking it up and trying it, I was like, "Well, looks like I'm not using using this purely as a sub processor anymore lol." Needless to say the sound is superior using it directly as a DAC, rather than using thr Aux or BT on the head unit. The other feature I didn't think much about that really came in handy was the compressor. On the highway, if you want to hear the quiet parts you have to crank the snot out of your system and then the loud parts are blowing out your windshield. I set the compressor with a threshold of -35dB and a ratio of 1.45, and now I can turn the compressor on using the IR remote and listen at lower levels without constantly fiddling with the volume and bass controls. Fantastic. (One thing – I'm an audio engineer so I'm used to high-end pro audio compressors and compared to those the miniDSP isn't amazing but it does make a dramatic difference compared to no compressor at all.) The other main feature I was interested in is the FIR filtering, which lets you line up the different parts of the sound to achieve maximum depth and impact. I haven't extensively experimented with this feature yet, but I did flatten the phase of my subs and found that the bass feels more three dimensional (great test track for this is Trentemoller – Nightwalker). However, I'm more interested in phase aligning my mids and highs to tighten thr center image. Compared to the DSP408 the 2x4HD certainly has better sound quality potential, however the real benefit of the 2z4 is that it can be an all-in-one solution straight into an amp. If you're looking for supermaximum balls to the wall sound quality, I would step up to something that is more configurable, like a digital mixer that can do reverb, FX channels, parallel compression, etc, then feed it to a studio grade DAC. The catch is that it costs 50x as much to do that vs the MiniDSP, which is a very elegant, simple solution. If you're new to all this I actually recommend the DSP408 because the Android control makes it super easy to play around with. Good luck!Andrew
My system is EQ'd better than ever. These are better for home than the DSP-408. The 408 suffers from startup audio issues. This is my second one without the HD. I don't use surround sound as my speakers are of higher quality, so 2.1 is fine enough. Also I cut the cord so all of my audio can come from the TV TOSlink, I wish this had a TOSlink out but it is doing fine. I am using it in front of a Yamaha Aventage that has it's own PE but it is limited to LR x 7 bands + 4 for the subwoofer. Yam will not equalize out all of the bumps in my room EQ graphs. The MiniDSP will and is a little underused since I haven't applied any front end PE that it can do, I migh work on that later. The non HD version with 31 EQ bands is pretty awesome too. DSP-408 people are lazy and have a product but it is a bit unfinished and no updates to fix some of it's startup ANNOYANCES yetSamuel

Reviews:
Where do I start? I replaced a Rockford Fosgate DSR1 with this and its INCREDIBLE. Let me get my couple gripes out of the way before I get into the good stuff. The inputs and outputs are on the top and bottom instead of the sides like the amps are, so it complicates cable management, it doesnt handle a true 4V preamp voltage, and it doesnt have an AutoEQ. The voltage issue is EASILY overcome with the Remote Commander though because it defaults to volume control and you can just set the head unit to 2.63V RMS with a test tone and leave it. It has tuning options GALORE, the sound quality is FAR superior to the DSR1 because its richer, more powerful, cleaner, and crisper. It INCLUDES the Remote Commander module and Bluetooth module where other high end DSPs require those items to be purchased separately adding more cost to an already more expensive processor that really doesnt have many more capabilities. I love this PXE-0850X despite my few gripes. Coming from a professional installer, I HIGHLY recommend this unit for both cost effectivity and quality. The chassis on it is actually made of cast aluminum rather than plastic like some other inferior units are. I cant say enough good things about it actually. DSP technology has become so inexpensive, your system cant afford to be WITHOUT it! Get either this or a PXE-X09 and be done.Jeffrey
I was shopping for a DSP for a while. I was lucky to have gotten this unit on sale. But was surprised how fast it got here.
Great sound, tonal options and it can be adjusted from a smartphone! The app is easy to navigate and laid out pretty straightforward. The only downside is inability to mount the remote control somewhere neatly.Gregory

Haven't put it into full service, but turned it on and the fan is as loud as people claim. I did a fan mod to it and quieted it down significantly.RYAN
I am using the amp to power two large buttkicker so I cannot comment on musical performance. One thing I would say is the fans are excessively noisy and run full speed continuously. I use headphones, so no major problem.
Picked up this amp to use for tactile in simracing I have it running from speakon to banana plug hooked up to the miata diff known as the buttkicker LFE. Everything is straight forward with no issues and easy to setup, there is software for finer control over the HZ sent to the output. Some say the fans are noisy but I was not fussed but you do have the option to buy aftermarket fans to change them if you wish. There is no USB Type A cable included for connection to the PC which for the price was odd. But any home musician or household has billions of these strung about from old printers and midi devices anyway. All round not much you can say other then it does what it is meant to do at a price point far better then its competitors.Ryan T.

Reviews:
Great product! It is compact and solidly built. I'm using it in a home audio system and controlling it directly from my Windows 11 laptop. The computer dashboard is easy and intuitive to use. I have no way to confirm it but believe the dashboard accurately describes the performance of its filters. In other words, I believe it is well-calibrated. It maintains the latest settings when the computer is not connected but the 12V power adapter must remain connected. Two are necessary for a 5.1, 7.1 or 5.1.2 surround sound system, or for a 3-way or 4-way active stereo system.marty NCA
The Good: It's an inexpensive DSP. The software is pretty easy to use, the main thing that would make it better is giving more than 10 EQ points per output to allow for better tuning, most DSP's have 31 bands. The bluetooth module is convenient if you want to do some adjusting when you don't have a laptop handy, or to puck a different preset if you do not have the wired remote. The wired remote is almost a must, unless you are a set it and forget it person. Easily choose presets and adjust the volume (I still used my amps remote to control the sub output) The Bad: I have this installed in my car, factory head unit running into a Kicker KeyLoc into the DSP-408 and I just can't get rid of the hiss coming from my speakers. I thought it was the radio, eliminated that as a source, thought it was the KeyLOC, but even with no input to the DSP there is still hiss from my tweeters. Other "fixes" I've tried: checking the ground run a different power than the ones my amps share 2 different wired remotes bought the bluetooth module, thinking that would bypass any input issues using the 110V power supply it ships with. installing a ground loop isolator 20-ohm resistors from the radio uninstalled everything and rewired my whole system looking for issues disconnecting the USB wire disconnecting the wired remote If I disconnect the RCAs to my amps everything quiet again. I can tolerate the remote knob up to about 40, at 60 you can hear the hiss even though the music or road noise. I can not simply turn up my amp gains (which are at maybe 20%) because it just amplifies the noise. I've spent over $100 and countless hours on stuff trying to fix a problem that can not be fixed, at least not with my unit. I've read some people just kept sending their unit back for replacement until they get one that is quiet. I think I'll just cut my loses and time and buy better equipment. It's pretty pointless going for an SQ build when there is a constant background noise in your system.Mark
I purchased this this unit to replace a different brand DSP that was introducing unwanted distortion. I had read reviews on this unit and saw many mentions of background hiss or a hum typically caused by a ground loop (poor grounding). I thought maybe these people hadn't taken the proper steps to ensure they had a properly grounded system or they were using cheap RCA cables. I connected the unit in place of my previous DSP which was a cheap unit but had no noise issues. The sound quality while my vehicle was off was excellent and I had no background hiss or noise. I messed with some settings via the PC program and its very easy to use. Unfortunately this was short lived after starting my vehicle. There was a constant low frequency hum and a high pitched whine that increased in frequency when my engine RPM increased. I decided to try some troubleshooting to verify there was no issues with my install. I decided to run a temporary ground and power line directly to the battery just to see if it would help. It did not. Even though I know my connections are very good I decided to go through all of my entire system and verify everything was still secure. (I really wanted this DSP to work) I found no issues with my system connections. I read in one review that someone "resolved" the issue by removing the REMOTE IN connection and having the unit turn on via the RCA signal. Again, no change. I even ran a temporary set of RCA cables with no change at all. When I removed the unit from the signal chain completely there is absolutely no noise at all. I'm fairly certain the issue is not on my end. My system consists of a Pioneer Head unit, Rockford Fosgate amplifiers, Knukonceptz Krystal RCA cables, and Knukonceptz 0 gauge OFC power from the battery to both amplifiers and the alternator and dual 0 gauge grounds on my battery with brand new battery terminals and a new battery. All ground connections have all paint removed and are connected with a gold plated terminal blocks and I apply an electrolytic compound between the terminal block and vehicle that improves and protects the connection. I understand a device maybe being limited in options because it has a lower price point. However I can't understand how a device could be sold with this kind of issue and it hasn't been addressed with an improved design. I would be more than happy to pay an additional $50 if this was resolved in a redesign as it would still come in much cheaper than most other DSP's. PROS: Easy to install, easy to setup and control, great sound quality. CONS: Overpowering hum and whining noise while vehicle is running unfortunately makes this unit unusable for car audio. ??Jeff

So far nice product haven't installed yet doing a full install in a tsx waiting to get all the equipment. But I tested it has a lot of great featuresmarty b.
Now while I haven't had the chance to install the dsp yet, I absolutely love ds18 products and their customer service some of the best I've ever experienced. Most of what's in my truck now is ds18, just need the subs to finish it offBrian S.
So I love this unit. I run all DS 18 pro speakers in my challenger build I'm doing. I even have a sticker aka free advertising until I do my window ceramic next week. I run 4-4" tweeters, 2-6×9, 2-6.5" all on a candy 6. I need something bigger and 8 channel really. But sounds amazing. Paired to a kicker L7 15" in the truck and a ds18 ml headunit. It all sounded so rough and background engine noice. So I went from 4 rca lines (8channels total) to 1 rca(2channel) sounds so much better with my tuning options through the app. By bass is deep and still punchy. My tweeters are just awesome. And between my 6×9&6.5" I can truly make my car sound good with anything playing. I need to find me a 3800 rms 8 Channel for the cab speakers and want to change the 15. Probly 2 12" or 10" subs. Either would hit harder then the 1 15. All in all after you spend some time learning the dsp. I'm 100% satisfied with it and will consider a 10-14 Channel one eventually since I'm still mid build and keep adding stuff lol. At close I just say 1 thing…just buy it and spend the time to learn it.Joshua F.
8. Universal Audio Uad-2 Octo Core Pcie Dsp Accelerator Card
Product Details:
The uad-2 octo core from universal audio consists of a short form pcie (express) card with eight sharc processors for use in either mac or windows based native audio workstations. the card supplements the dsp processing of these systems, giving the computer's cpu more headroom and freeing resources for other functions that can include additional tracks, heavier mix automation, or the ability to use more native effects. analog classics is the "core" part of the uad-2 octo core, a software bundle included with the card. it features four of the company's most popular plug-in emulations that capture the essence of the analog hardware counterparts. the la-2a classic audio leveler features the sound of the classic electro-optical analog compressor, while the 1176ln classic limiting amplifier is an accurate emulation of ua's legendary fet-based hardware. the 1176se limiting amplifier is a dsp-optimized version of the 1176ln, yielding higher instance counts while featuring its own unique characteristics. the pultec eqp-1a program equalizer plug-in is a faithful electronic reproduction of the renowned hardware eq. realverb pro is a flexible and natural sounding reverb plug-in based on a unique set of algorithms, allowing the user to design the room just as they hear it. the uad-2 octo supports the use of other manufacturer's audio units, rtas or vst plug-ins when used with the appropriate host software. additionally, up to four uad-2 cards can be used simultaneously in a single host computer, or combined with other uad-2 devices, including the uad-2 satellite (firewire), and apollo audio interface.

I already owned the Apollo Quad and love the Universal Audio plugins. When I found myself wanting more and more UAD plugins the processing limit of the quad became a burden. With 8 more cores now it feels like I can endlessly pile on those beautiful UAD plugins that emulate analog hardware and there's little load on the native processor. Highly recommend the octo card or thunderbolt attached box if you are using UAD plugins.Beachside Studio
This really hard cause when u have a piece of equipment that is 100 % its hard to gather words that will make it make since but im happier then a baby with a bottle this was what ive been searching for an i must say THANK YOU like i said i cant explain this but what it does is incredible (Perfect )JOSEPH FOREST
Does the job as labelled on the tin. The only thing that upset me a little, is that UAD were running a deal on the other versions of the Octo's where you got 6 free plug ins of your choice bundled in. But in the end of the day, got to buy what is compatible with your system. Looking forward to using the Octo in the near future.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Outstanding Bluetooth Dsp. Control center for any car audio build!Douglas B.
its a decent DSP. being it is app controlled makes tuning much easier than a dial or having to use a laptop. I am unsure what to think of the app itself. I feel it is very basic lacking controllability and features I feel any DSP should have. for a basic system it will get the job done and even some more complex. Lack of good user guide is a big thumbs down at any price and probably would have kept me from purchasing it if I had known. Also no remote out is a big – . its small light weight and convienent and is would be best IMO for powersports or simple builds. To be fair I went from a Hertz h8 to this so my opinion on the app's controllability is partially influenced by that. Is it worth the price? I have not had it real long but so far I would say absolutely yes it is a good buy and would be great for your first introduction to using a dsp. Would I buy again ? depends on the build I would be using it for but yes.Lance A.

I added the dsp-lf to my home theater setup about 6 months ago after acquiring some etymotic earbuds. The extremely accurate etymotics made my ears much more aware of the inconsistent frequency response of the subwoofer bass in my home theater setup. I added the dsp-lf in between my pioneer vsx-lx303 and martin logan dynamo 1000 subwoofer (+/- 3db lower end extension = 22hz). The sub is comparable to most sealed subs under $700 on the market today. The dsp-lf objectively tamed the peaks and now I the lower octaves subjectively sound "right" and the sound is much more immersive. See the first attached image to check the corrected linear frequency response at my listening position (red line). See the second attached image to visualize the corrected response with an added 5 db low end house curve added (green line). The red line in the second image represents the frequency response in my wife's seating position. The fact that the iphone mic and dsp-lf software can show a large difference between the response at my own seating and my wife's assures me that the system is working well. Maybe I need to get another sub so my wife can get a smoother bass response….New User
Very disappointed with this device. The iwoofer app is appalling. It has many user interface issues, but the main one is the bizarre preset saving process. If you make any changes to your settings and don't save it these will be lost as soon as you power off the DSP-LF. You have to save it. But there isn't a an option to 'save' your current file – you have to 'save as' a new file. The app won't tell you, but this will now be set in the DSP-LF and will load up when you next switch it back on again. Of course before long you have 15 different preset files in the app. There is a permanent high pass filter that can only be set as low as 20Hz. This results in a cut of about 3-6dB at 20Hz, Dayton Audio said in a response to me that this can be fixed by adding in a band e.q. at 20Hz and boosting to compensate, and that they are working with the app designer to fix this. That was a year ago and nothing has changed. Lastly there are issues with the box itself. The connections are all using the tiniest versions of the connectors available – USB-micro and two stereo mini-jacks. These are all soldered directly on to the PCB. So after 1-year of use the USB socket in mine came clear out, attached to the end of the USB cable. In short this device is the cheapest of cheap rubbish and has turned me off Dayton Audio completely as they look like total chancers from my perspective.
I've been using room correction in an older Pre/Pro and I've never been happy with my dual subwoofer setup. For a small investment I decided to try the Dayton Audio DSP-LF hoping it would solve some (or all of the issues) I've been experiencing. I’m using an iPhone, so I installed the iWoofer Pro app as it's able to perform automatic room correction on my dual subwoofers. After consulting Parts-Express it was determined I would only need a single DSP-LF. As the included cables are not the best I decided to upgrade to a premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2RCA Female 22AWG Cable (gold plated) and a 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2RCA Male 22AWG Cable gold plated as well. The user manual from Dayton Audio is a must read for understanding how to best optimise the DSP-LF before running the iWoofer Pro auto room correction Wizard. After performing the calculations and using the Linear correction I was simply amazed at the improvement in bass. Not only is the bass significantly tighter, with lower extension, but I’m also able to hear delineation of the individual bass notes that I didn’t think was possible. Before the correction curve I had a +11db peak at 90hz and a -6db trough at 30hz which negatively impacted the sound quality of bass. For movies or music that require a touch more bass extension or punch, I was able to create separate PEQ correction curves that can easily be saved and implemented when necessary. Please keep in mind that the iWoofer Pro software isn’t the most intuitive and trial and error during the measuring and correction phase will definitely be necessary.Rocco

Bought 2 of these for my 2022 Acura MDX. Both amps failed to run my 16 speaker system properly.kvngelin
I have 2 Jeeps and both have these installed in them. If you know how to set up a system and want to control everything, this amp is for you. This amp has 6 inputs and 8 outputs. This means you can set each set of speakers to THEIR OWN EQ setting. You must have a windows laptop to set and program this amp or it will not work. This amp allows you to dial everything, EQ, time delay, levels, speaker phasing, and multiple inputs-normal and summing. It may take a while to tune everything but when you get it right, the sound is amazing.chuck_tempe
I was replacing an old JBL MS-8 in my BMW. I originally gutted the entire audio system. So, all the infrastructure was already in place. It was a simple swap of connectors etc. Even if I didnt have all the various connectors etc in place, it wouldnt be too bad. I have 2 additional amps in the car. I did not use the filters in the software (high pass & low pass) on any speakers that were already using filters (via the amp). The ability to parallel settings is a nice & time saving feature. My only complaint about it is that the USB connector cable needs to be about 2-3 longer. You do need to set the mixer and tell the DSP what channels you are using and what speakers are powered by each channel. This was not clear in the directions. The software was easy to down load from the JBL website. It can be a little overwhelming to look at, at first. Id suggest using YouTube / https://youtu.be/CNPjM3Xe7bI The above was a helpful video.matthew

Reviews:
This product is awesome. I used it in a 2013 Chevy Cruze to replace the factory Pioneer system. This went in before the factory amp to replace it and install a JL XD400/4v2 and a JL XD600/1v1. Tested the rca's with a SMD DD1 after running the calibration set up and got 0 distortion at all volume levels. That's amazing. Usually running a aftermarket system on a factory head unit is a nightmare and sounds horrible, thanks to JL, this is no longer a difficult process. Thanks JL Audio, for once again, pushing the limits. Set up is simple, almost plug and play. Box takes up a little space and fits well with the sleek designs that JL has become to be known for. Using spacers we raised the unit up to run wiring behind it between the two amps. Using a relay, we evenly distributed turn on to each amp and the FiX. Running the Calibration process scared the living day lights out of me, since I wasn't expecting the sound at 75% volume. After a simple calibration process we read all green on the FiX, and continued on with the install. After everything was set up the we tested no distortion at 1000hz and a SMD DD1, then tested the outputs to tune the system to no distortion from the XD400/4 at 75% (35vol) on the HU. The FiX… ""Fixes"" so well in the system, unless the song it self is playing frequencies difficult for the speakers, turning the bass all the way up or mid, or treble, (What I'm limited too on the Chevy MyLink system) creates no muddy sloppy bass notes, buzzing and burping in the doors or rear deck, just clean smooth tones and music. The ONLY suggestion we ran into on the unit after having installed it, was a way for the FiX to detect and aid in the process of dealing with door chimes and voice prompts. Yes the DRC200 will enable a hands free mode, but more to the point, it would still come across the whole system, as well as back up warnings and door chimes. bought and installed… had alot of trouble with getting a clean sound. returned and sonic confirmed product was faulty. a replacement was sent to me. installed and i am very pleased. with the fix 86 and the customer service. they exchanged it without a roblem once they tested it was defective. thank u so much it works like a dreamps… must combine with drc205 remotejonathan
I'm on a budget so I only own one JL product so far, the fix 86. I searched for months for a device to help me integrate an aftermarket stereo into a vehicle which a head unit replacement wouldn't be financially feasible or make any sense (as the case usually is in cars these days.) The only solution I found was the fix 82/86. This might be the most important part of my build, regardless of how well you tune or how much you spend, if your signal is the weakest link in the chain it'll always sound bad. But my fix 86 brings back the parts of the music I lost due to factory eq settings. After tons of research, I know this is the only product that does this and it does it automatically so it doesn't matter if you're an audio guru or a beginner. I recommend the fix 82 or 86 to anyone who wants to retain the benefits of modern in dash multimedia systems while upgrading the factory audio.

I just used one for the first time and its a very well designed and relatively easy to use DSP processor. I'm not much of a software programmer and I found this to be relatively easy to use. I set up a sound reinforcement system manually with all of the supplied control blocks, I did not use the wizard setup but I expect it works very well. I will definitely use this device again when the situation allows. 3 inputs and 6 outputs was very handy for my needs. I ran stereo mains, mono sub and 3 discrete outputs to feed program material to other devices in other areas. Thank you DBX for making an amazing product. Michael MoscatelliMichael
Overall: We are a Grateful Dead Tribute band and we are in a different room every night. we have a rather odd speaker configuration. 2 JBL JRX 115s for our high ends, 2 JBL JRX 118’s for our mids and two SoundTech scoops for our bottom end. We demand the best sound we can give our fans and the difference between using a standard crossover and the DriveRack PA2 are night and day! Before getting the crossover and eq’s set was a nightmare and always sounded somewhat muddy. First night with the DriveRack and WOW… Crisp highs, great mids and the punchy bottom end were looking for. Although we can’t use the wizards for speaker and amp setup, going into the preset 13 (3 way stereo) and setting all the crossover points and roll offs was a cinch. Storing this new configuration was easy and painless. Now we walk in set everything up, do an initial gain structure set up without the cabs hooked up and then plug in the cabs. Hit the RTA and select Auto EQ and Level assist and it will tell you what amp and channel (right or left) to raise or lower the attenuation and gives you the db steps to raise or lower! As for quality, this thing is built like a tank! And only one rack space… Tech support was fantastic. I had a few questions and they were patient and precise. If you’re on the road and in a new venue every night this is money well spent! We still haven’t used all the functions, we only run 2 monitors and really don’t push a lot through them so feedback is generally not an issue but, it’s nice to know that if it occurs, we have the tool to fix it. The sub harmonic synth is really not something we need with the scoops, and so far have not tried it. This is not a plug and play device as you will have to read the directions a couple of times to take in all that this unite is capable of doing. But with a little knowledge and careful reading you should have no issues with setting it up! Overall this is the best investment we have made for the band period. We went for good sound to GREAT sound!Allen
Sound: Once installed and configured for the system it is amazingly simple to setup for different venues. The wizards walk you though everything and even tell you how much to boost or cut the attenuaters on your power amps. This is really amazing in clubs that have odd configurations or walls sitting in the way. for example it will tell you to decrease your right top cabinet by 5db if it is needed to correct for the shape of the room. Features: It only takes one rack space at replaces an entire rack of effects and processing units, The feed back suppression is pretty amazing you hear that low level feedback starting and before you can turn and look at it, the feedback is gone. The wizards and android control app are extremely easy to use. The speaker offsets are something I would have never thought of but I am convinced that little details like that are what makes this such an amazing product. Ease of Use: With the wizards it is pretty painless to set-up the only thing I can see that would improve it is to have wireless functionality on-board so that an external router is not needed. Quality: It is sturdy. I expect that short of something drastic happening to still be using this when I get too old to play anymore. Value: In short for a gigging band that is never in the same venue two nights in a row, you cannot afford to not have this if you want clean consistent sound. Manufacturer Support: I had a question regarding my particular speaker configuration and posted a question to the manufacturers site and got an answer almost immediately. The answer was one that I may have figured out on my own given time, but was pleasant timely and accurate. This allowed me to get up and running sooner, with less worry. Thanks DBX! The Wow Factor: Wow is an understatement, our sound is so clean that we even had a club owner mention (as they all seem to do) You were a little loud tonight but with sound that clean it doesn't really matter. Overall: I needed to buy a crossover, I needed to upgrade my EQ and I was interested in automatic feedback suppression because mixing sound from stage is complicated enough. It seemed a good value to get all of that in one unit. The unit is not overly complicated but it is not plug and play either. There are still functions on it I have not enabled (subharmonic synth) due to the fact that we do run sound from stage and I simply cannot listen, play and sing while adjusting them to learn how to use them to the best advantage. From the first gig with it our sound was greatly improved and has only gotten better as we become more familiar with the unit.Lee

Mucho mejor resultado de momento del que esperaba. Relación calidad/precio muy bien
DJ City had the best price, even beating a wholesaler I often use, and shipped the product quickly. Will happily buy from again.Mick M.

The user manual isn't very detailed. It doesn't describe input/output gain settings for various input/output voltages. I found out with trial and error that i could use the "matrix mixer" as my input gain sensitivity. I was having distortion at higher volumes due to level matching with my line out converter. The phone app is simple to use, the Bluetooth quality is very good (if you want to use it for streaming directly). Overall great value I'm happy with it for the price.dgri2248

Buen precio y de buena calidadheribertveg_31
I use this as the low-level crossover for a bi-amped home sound system. It provides other nice features like some bass boost (using the parametric equalizer) and delay for voice-coil alignment. I took off one star because the signal-to-noise, although quite good and definitely fine in a car, is insufficient for a quiet home setting and forced me to add a quad potentiometer as volume control. The user interface has some lag and confusion but that's OK given the low price.agropper123

I ordered a Rockford Fosgate DSR1 to install with a Rockford Fosgate Stage 3 kit in my 2019 Road Glide Special. Garage Bagger Stereo delivered it lightning-fast, and with the correct file for my installation loaded. For anyone doing this same install, I used 3M adhesive-backed velcro to attach the DSR1 to the underside of the amp bracket (and further secured it with some zip ties.) There isn't a surplus of space inside the fairing, but it all fit. I'm very pleased with the results and I have already recommended the product and supplier to friends.William
I found it to be very easy to install, as I was running it between my Kenwood DNN992 and my two Rockford Fosgate amps (400×4 and 500×1). The only two drawbacks I had were: 1) There are only 4 RCA-level inputs and 8 RCA-level outputs on the DSR1. Which meant that I had two options for system control – either run my RCAs directly from the sub RCA output on the radio to the subwoofer amp, or not use the sub RCA output on the radio, and instead run my RCAs from the DSR1's sub output to the subwoofer amp. I opted for the former (but may decide later on to go with the latter. 2) Setup, while straightforward, was "laggy". By that, I mean that after downloading the app to my Android tablet and connecting the DSR1 to it via bluetooth, response time between both devices was noticeably delayed. I would adjust some of the EQ sliders and it would take anywhere from 5-10 seconds before you would hear the end result or the DSR1 would acknowledge the change. Overall, though, I am enjoying it immensely, and look forward to further exploring it's features (and there's a LOT).nubiannupe
I purchased a Rockford Fosgate DSR1. I received it with a tune already set up. I called American Hard Bag with an issue. I spoke with a tech right away and they solved my issue over the phone. A+ for great customer service. I’m extremely happy with the product and it’s performance. I highly recommend American Hard Bag as they stand behind the products they sell.Edgardo N.

THIS THING MADE MY SYSTEM COME ALIVE!! I did a lot of research before deciding on this Audio Control unit. To me, it had the most level of customization, and quality components, and once installed, I was truly blown away.Anonymous
I have been wanting one of these for so so long and to finally get my hands on one I feel blessed. Anyone who has a OEM system ( or not ) and wants to get the most out of their system should have one of these in their vehicle this thing is absolutely phenomenal! I would truly have to say this is hands-down the best processor Ive ever owned! Easy to use easy to navigate. This is a must-have for any installer, Enthusiast, audiophile. I would recommend this product over anything else on the market at this time and I have had my hands on a lot of different products.demetrius783
not very many reviews for this product, so here is my 2 cents. good build quality . very easy to install. There is a bit of a learning curve as far as using the software, at least there was for me, but if you have experience with DSPs you should be fine. Once i got a better understanding of how the software works i could not be happier with the Audiocontrol DM810. it does a very effective job at cutting out all the low bass frequencys from my door speakers ,as it should. i have noticed with other built in crossovers and amplifier crossovers that they tend to let some bass in and ultimately end up distorting my sound. Not this unit, when it is set to cutoff under 100Hz ,its cut off! The time alignment is great and was very easy to set up. what i love best about the unit is the 30 band EQ, with a RTA mic and some pink noise tracks you can really get your sound at its best. The auto EQ feature is great for overriding the factory radios preset EQ curve and will send a nice flat signal to the DSP. This thing for me was worth the money. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting ultimate control of their sound.Jerry
