This heater is wonderful. It heats up a large area because it oscillates and the fan pushes the heat out-on high-quite fast. Once heated you can change it to a slower fan speed that still keeps the room comfortable. Easy to use and looks nice. Look forward to warmer weather to try just the fan to see how well it will move the cool air around the room. We really renovated our porch from three season to four season. I like to keep plants there because of the great south sunlight. It does get chill in the Minnesota winters, so we've been utilising a space heater in the area. What really excited me about this product was the extra built in safety features. I have small children, so I have to be aware that they'll get into things. The fan in this unit is covered by smaller, finger safe holes. If the unit were to overheat it shuts down as well. Best of all, if it's knocked over it will power down. My current space heater only blew air in one direction. Im looking forward to using the oscillating function to spread heat around the whole room. There is also no need to store it in the off season, as it's a decent oscillating fan too. I'm a new Vornado fan. (pun intended) However, I was disappointed when the LCD/touch panel on top made a high pitched electronic ring, similar to when you plug in an other electronic device to charge. In addition, there were times when it would click when oscillating which is very annoying. Something else that I found annoying occurred when I would adjust the thermostat the temperate displayed would start to blink, indicating you are adjusting the thermostat. However, the rate at which it blinked lead to an awkward user experience as you try to adjust the temp up or down. For $100, I'd expect it to be quiet other than the internal fan running. Even the plastic enclosure seemed to have defective textures and lighting. I'm still a fan of their products, just not this one.Prestige

Poor engineering. The circuit controlling this device is horrible and maybe even potentially unsafe. The heater will come on indefinitely if the AC power is interrupted. When this occurs, the set point goes to 90F. The minimum set point is 60F and is to high if you want to use it to keep things from freezing up without wasting energy. The build quality is good just the design is poorly done. I'm scrapping it for parts.kd8lq

This heater is great! We have a 2-story home with a finished basement and central cooling/heating. Our insulation isn't great and some of our pipes run along an outside wall. Every winter we have issues with our water lines freezing, because regardless of the time of year or what temp we set our thermostat, our basement is always very cold. We mounted this heater on the wall in our basement and we haven't had any issues since. It works great and is easy to use! Some much quieter & smaller than my 10 year old infrared heater. Both 1500W. Too new to give it 5 s but if it lasts 10 years it will be worth every penny! I purchased a 1000W Heat Storm infrared heater, a couple years ago, for 12×12 enclosure and it heats the area easily during January & February making the space useable year round. I really like the auto mode vs manual select high or low setting. Has the option to wall mount but since it is portable and I am only using it seasonally I wont be using that feature. This arrived just in time to help stave off the chill of a situation resulting from a major snow storm and a broken furnace thermostat. Set the Vornado up on the counter so it would blow into the central room of the house directly over the sofa. It is fairly quiet and got up to max speed and temp quickly. The evercool shell and wide base made it feel safe with minimal chance for overheating or tipping. I checked the emergency shut off feature and it shut off immediately when the unit was not level. Fan guards should protect just about all little fingers. The unit was able to raise the temperature of an area of about 800 sq ft 1 degree ( while the rest of the house temp fell by 3-4 degrees) so it is definitely helping us "hold our own". Only complaint is that the fan seems a bit under powered compared to a similar sized product we have used in the past. I have an office in the (someday to be insulated) basement of my home, and on some mornings, it is as cold as 13 C (~56 F) down there. I have tried a few ceramic-element heaters, but they typically have rather weak fans in them and are quite directional. This means that they have to be fairly close to me and if I move around, I am out of luck. This Vornado heater generates just as much heat as the others, but the fan is more powerful and pushes the warm air out further, and the grille on the front seems to diffuse the air better. A few other things that I like are that the heat is produced instantly; no warm-up like the ceramic units, and also that it has three different heat settings vs. the two on my other heaters. The only "con" on the heater, and this could be just my particular unit, is that the recess in the case that forms the carrying handle has very sharp edges, both the part that rests on your fingers and the case surface below it. This is my review of the Honeywell Digital Ceramic Tower Heater, Grey, Model HCE322V I really like this heater. I would have to say my favorite feature is the timer. Although, it would be better if the lowest time setting was thirty minutes instead of one hour. I also like that the tower rotates in a wide range, because when it’s not rotating, the heat range narrow. The coil is only about 2 inches wide. It does a good job of heating the bedroom though. One feature that annoys me, but is a good safety feature, is that if you pick up the heater to move it a little or something while it’s on, it turns off. Definitely an evil necessity. It has a very nice red digital display. Each button has a symbol displayed, to show the function, and also a red dot light above it to show which function is being used. It’s a nice slim design with a groove at the top back of the tower, for carrying it. Light weight. Can easily be stored in a small space. There is an easily removable dust cover on the back that can be taken off and cleaned. This is definitely the most high-tech space heater I’ve ever owned and would recommend it.tswa73
I received the Honeywell Digital Ceramic Tower Heater and its great! We have a heater that doesn't work very well and take forever to heat up but this one is very fast at heating and also has a temperature digital controls so you can set it at exactly what temperature you want it at. It has many other cool features like this including; programmable thermostat, powerful 1500 watt, dust filter, cool touch plastic housing, oscillating sturdy base, 360 degree tip -over protection, touch located digital controls, auto off timer option, and dual motor system. One of my favorite things about it is that it run very quietly. I don't hear it while I'm watching tv or while having company over. I have found it works best if you put it in a room or smaller work space it heats up better but it does still work great for larger rooms as well just takes longer to heat up the entire room. I bought this heater to replace a very noisy LASCO tower heater that never really performed well in my home office room even though it is slightly taller and larger diameter and rated similarly to the very slim and trim Honeywell. I am well pleased with the Honeywell slim tower heater. It runs very quietly to the point I have to listen for it when running on low. It's very quiet on high also. This heater displaces heat very evenly on oscillation. Oscillation is noiseless and heats room to comfort. I don't use the timer. The temperature setting has too wide of a range from off to back on. It shuts off 1 degree higher than set and cools down about 5-6 degrees before coming back on. Altho I use the temperature setting very little, it dose work well and is a nice added feature. I never leave an electric heater running when not in the room. After turning off, your desired settings have to be reset when turned back on, which is not really a factor for me. Since it's early fall I am only using the low setting for now. Later, as it gets colder, it should be nice and comfy when set on high. Way to go Walmart! A nice product.Charles

One thing I found handy was the ability to turn the plug completely around if your grounding wire is at the top of your wall outlet. I had reservations on purchasing these two heaters as they were advertised on TV and usually, they don’t perform as well as shown. We needed two heaters. One for the powder room which hardly gets heat from the HVAC system and one for my wife’s bathroom which doesn’t get that warm either. We plugged both heaters into the wall socket and turned them on. I couldn’t believe how much heat these little 800 watt units put out! You set the temperature you want and once it reaches that temperature, it automatically goes into a cooling mode before going into standby mode. Once the temperature drops below what you’ve set, it fires back up again. The powder room which is 5’ X 8’ warmed up from 62 degrees to 72 in about a half hour. Although not yet used in cold weather, it was tested and I found it to be quite adequate in heat production and not very loud at all. The build style will keep it stable with no chance of a tip-over. It was purchased as an auxiliary heat source for fall/early winter camping in a motorhome when electric hookups are available. We purchased this heater for our Sea Ray 380 aft cockpit. On our first outing this fall in lower temps this heater performed very well, supplying enough heat to make it comfortable in our camper enclosure in roughly 50 degree temps on the open water. The additional feature I particularly like is the "fan only" knob on the control which means I can run this during the time we are off the boat to control build up of mold and mildew. The Honeywell Two Position VersaHeat Digital Heater is the perfect heater for any small to medium room. The directions are clear and easy to follow, making this system easy to operate. This heater has a low or a high setting, as well as a fan only setting. The heat temperature can be adjusted with a twist of the dial. Once my desired room temperature was reached, I backed down the thermostat and the heater shut off. It turned back on when my temperature dropped below that temperature. This heater worked perfect to take the chill out of the air. In a matter of minutes, the temperature in my bedroom was raised 2 degrees. When the unit is operating, there is a red light on the front that lets me know that it is running. The heater is lightweight, yet it is durable. It is compact enough to fit in most areas. I like that it has two different positions that it can operate in. I can use it standing up, or I can lay it down horizontally, depending on where I am using it. It heats up quickly and blows out heat consistently. The unit does not get hot to the touch. I can place my hands anywhere on the outside of the heater without it getting too hot. It is recommended that you place the heater three feet away from items for safety. The system does make a blowing sound while it is heating, but it is not too loud. Ordered Nov 13 and received the next day. Was very excited, it looked nice and easy to operate. This Honeywell heater also has great safety features. The only thing is after 2 months it has stopped working. First I smelled a burning sensation then it shut off and wouldn't turn back on. Tried waiting awhile but still not working. I got this heater about 3 weeks ago to use in our bathroom. We live in an old house that is pretty drafty especially in the winter. This heater is perfect for that room that is also connected to my bedroom. It starts heating it up and my bedroom pretty quickly. The fan is great and push the heat where I need it to reach. I am excited to not have a cold bathroom this winter. It is also made very well. It doesn't feel flimsy at all, the construction feels very sturdy. It doesn't take up much room either. For it's size it offers a lot of heat,, which surprised me.. I would recommend this heater for anyone needing to heat up a small to medium size room quickly.

This product delivers what it says. It’s thermostatically controlled on the low setting, once it hits 24 C it shuts down and restarts when the room cools to a lower temperature. It’s an advantage if you leave the room without shutting it out. Has a small footprint so can be sent anywhere. We use it in a 12X12 room and there’s plenty of heat.
This is my second time purchasing this model. My first one lasted me 4 or 5 years!!! I use it in my small bathroom and by the time i finish a 10 minute shower im am rushing to click this bad boy OFF. Its a work horse. I love that it essentially has the option to have a "thermostat". I use quotes because with the eco mode it will click on and off to keep a generally warm ambient surrounding but you cant set what that temp is. It's just comfortable. While the high and low settings simply pump heat continuously until you click it off. Which is perfect for me! I love how compact it is. Dont let it's size deceive you. My older model broke ONLY because my husband likes to smash the button as if he is one of those punching mantis shrimp that punch at the speed of sound. Seriously. The unit still works but I have to gently push the button juuuust right to get it to turn on now. Barbarian. We have an understanding for the next one though 😅Taylor
I bought a Lasko ultra slim Tower Heater. Though it had an audible, constant running motor sound, it worked well to warm up a small bedroom. So, I bought another one. The second one also has an audible motor sound but the warmth was worth it. After about 3 weeks, they stopped warming the rooms as much as they did initially. Soon, my light bill came!!! I have had my Vornado for a couple of years. I found it on sale and grabbed it. I'd been looking at them since I bought my small motor home (a 24 foot one). It heats my motor home so the propane furnace seldom comes on and off all night, waking me up. The Vornado is perfectly quiet so I can get a good night's sleep. Recently my propane quit working and I was on my way home from a dog show with all my dogs. I had to stop to plug in for the night so I'd have heat. It was 24 degrees outside and believe me motor homes are not insulated very well. Little Vornado managed to keep us all warm enough with a few blankets added. That is no small task when in the 20s. I originally bought it just for the motor home but soon it began coming back in the house with me after a trip. I have a sunroom which is glass on 3 sides. It is heated, but the heater is so loud it wakes me up and also makes it hard to hear TV. Vornado supplements the heater so my life is much better.
Let's start with the basics: The Vornado TAVH10is a compact, adjustable, air circulating whole room heater with remote control and touch sensitive LED display control panel located on the top. The operating instructions are easy to understand. The My highly positive opinion of the Vornado TAVH10 started to form as I removed the heater from its box. Printed on the inner box flap is the message: "we expect this product to be PERFECT – if it's not WE will make it right." I appreciate companies which stand behind their products and value quality and customer satisfaction. The heater has a 5 year SATISFACTION Guarantee! I placed the heater in the living room (800 sq. ft.) and set the temperature to 76 degrees, which it achieved within 15 minutes and maintained without a hitch. I did not need to increase the television volume to compete with operating noises. I really like the fact that the heater circulates the air; yet, there was no noticeable 'air drafts' which could blow/move dust and papers around. The outside of the heater remained cool to the touch during operation, so I had no concern about my dogs burning themselves if they came into accidental contact with it. The heater sits very stable on the floor with zero tipping over tendency, even when bumped. The safety mechanism (located on the heater's underside) is a pressure-activated switch which is depressed when the heater is set down on the floor. Lifting the heater immediately activates the auto-off safety feature. The Vornado is by far superior to any ceramic, element or oil heater I have owned. My only criticism is that the control panel is very sensitive and there is no panel lock. I highly recommend the Vornado and would not hesitate to buy a second one!Kootureman
The Vornado TAVH10 Vortex Heater is amazing! First off the design and color combination makes it attractive if it's sitting in plan view.Our current electric heater, an oil filled radiator we move around stands out like a sore thumb (although I love warming towels and/or clothing on it!) This is lightweight and portable with a built in handle making it easy to use in any room. The TAVH10 Vortex Heaters design helps to keep it from being knocked over. There is a pressure activated safety button on the bottom that shuts it off as soon as it's tilted too far. I forgot about this and picked it up slightly to move it on the carpet and the shut off was immediate. Of course I had to try it a few more times to be sure 😉 and as soon as the button is released even slightly the shut is immediate. The cord is just over 3 ft long and stored around the base allowing you to keep the excess wrapped to avoid tripping. An important thing I also noticed is the cord/plug does not get warm when using it like the radiator does. Basically the heater stays cool to the touch. However the front does get a bit warm but I could lay my hand flat on it and not get burned, another great safety feature if you have curious pets or small children. Runs quietly and can be programmed to shut off in 1-12 hrs with the timer. The temperature I chose was achieved surprisingly fast considering it's an old house and not well insulated, it's always colder inside than out. The digital touch controls are bright and large enough to see easily. The TAVH10 Vortex Heater comes with a remote with simple functions. My only issue is the range is short and the buttons tend to get stuck if pushed at angle instead of straight down (maybe it's just something I do tho). I received the TAVH10 Vortex Heater free to try and review and I can honestly say it has exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great little heater. I have an insulated 22×24 attached garage that would get down in the low 40s when the temps were in the 0-15 degree range. I needed to angle it but didn't want to use the risky one screw option listed in the instructions, so I mounted it to a piece of wood, and then to the ceiling joists. I also moved the blue wire (one less coil) requiring a 25amp vice 30amp 240v breaker because I didn't think it needed to run at full capacity based on my square footage, and installing 8 gauge wire in flexible conduit is much harder than 10 gauge. It's working perfectly just above the low setting mark keeping the garage at 62 degrees. I am sure I can push the temp way up, but that isn't necessary. It doesn't come on very often, so I am confident it won't affect the electric bill much. It's very quiet. I was impressed with how fast the unit arrived using Blain's standard mail. They shipped the same day I ordered. Plus, their price was cheaper than all others on the internet. No more cold air seeping into the house and my cars are warm when I get in!TonyE
I bought this heater for use as supplemental heat in my well insulated 30' x 48' shop with 12' ceilings. The shop is divided in to two work areas, The larger 30' x 26' bay is heated with circulated hot water through the floor. The floor is heated to 55 or 60 degrees as to not tax the hot water heater and pump. The shop temp can drop to mid 40's when the outside temp drops into the low 20's. This heater was rated for use for only 500 sq ft, but like I stated it's for supplemental heat. With the heater set two clicks from off, it cycles on and off every 45 minutes to an hour, and doesn't run very long, but keeps the shop in the low 60's when outside temp is low 20's. I purchased this as an open box special to try one ou.t. I may buy the larger unit for use in the unheated bay.slowcoupe

Never been impressed with a fan heater for bathrooms with no other heating UNTIL NOW. Put this fan in a flat i rent out. The picture on the box showed it at low level. I did the same. It’s amazing. Heats the small bathroom pretty much straight away. You don’t even have to put it on for long and only need to put it on when the person uses the bathroom as the heat is instant. Bought this to warm my bathroom during the winter – it's over the porch so it gets cold, and nobody likes stepping out of a warm shower into cold air (or at least I don't). This gets the room to the desired temperature, automatically cycling between its high and low settings to achieve the temperature on the thermostat dial (there is no actual high-low control – just set the thermostat to the desired temperature and it automatically switches between the two). Even on its high setting, none of the parts of the case are hot enough to cause a quick burn. Only the vent where the hot air comes out gets hot, and that I can still hold my hand on without a problem. Once it switches over to the low setting, the vent becomes just warm to the touch, with the rest of the case remaining cool. There's also no accessible hot parts that I see (vs some baseboard heaters I've seen where the opening was big enough to fit a finger through and the coil was reachable – an issue with children or maybe some pets). While I have no intention of testing the temperature safety cut-out, I did test the tip-over switch, and it functions as expected, cutting power if the unit is tipped over more than about 45 degrees in any direction (not just to the front). That said, with any of these little heaters, I still feel better unplugging it after use.M.
Best heater on the market, so far. Heat where ever you put it very efficiently to the point, at times, I find myself turning it down. Have one in my room, and the bathroom, which I let my brother hold for his room, so gonna get another for the bathroom, and one for the kitchen, because we're rarely in the living room. We're able to turn the gas hear off for the entire winter, and use it only to cook and wash clothes, with a gas bill of less than $40 a month. The electric is a little higher than normal due to the heater, but nowhere near what utilities would normally cost with the gas included. So yes, this heater does actually save you a lot of money in other areas. And it's extremely sturdy, with a tip over mechanism that works even if the heater is slightly tilted. This model is a classic in our home. Our original was purchased somewhere about 10 years ago, and I had little hope that I would be able to find the exact one again. +1 for me, because Home Essentials Direct had it and it is pretty much the same as the older one I already owned. The unit puts out even heat for a small room and also serves as a Chihuahua warmer when she returns in the house from Winter weather. If the unit tips a little, it shuts off as designed. I hope Lasko never stops making these heaters because they are the only ones we ever owned that lasted a long time and were built solidly and safely.M.R.M.

This arrived just in time to help stave off the chill of a situation resulting from a major snow storm and a broken furnace thermostat. Set the Vornado up on the counter so it would blow into the central room of the house directly over the sofa. It is fairly quiet and got up to max speed and temp quickly. The evercool shell and wide base made it feel safe with minimal chance for overheating or tipping. I checked the emergency shut off feature and it shut off immediately when the unit was not level. Fan guards should protect just about all little fingers. The unit was able to raise the temperature of an area of about 800 sq ft 1 degree ( while the rest of the house temp fell by 3-4 degrees) so it is definitely helping us "hold our own". Only complaint is that the fan seems a bit under powered compared to a similar sized product we have used in the past. Would be a great choice for taking chill off a small room or keeping warm while reading.Kh82
I had ordered this heater a short time ago, and i was really surprised at how fast it came! I have to admit, i was not expecting it to work as well as it did! I was extremely impressed ! For such a small machine to put out that much heat 60- 90 degrees is simply amazing. The Vornado Velocity 4 Whole Room Space Heater does everything it says it will do. It has a handle for moving,a cool touch case, plugs into a standard wall outlet, has safety features,such as if it tips over or the airflow becomes blocked it will automatically shut off. Plus the Vornado Whole Room Space Heater circulates heat faster and further throughout the room. When it becomes dusty just wipe down and brush off, simple as that.Queenie68
I have an office in the (someday to be insulated) basement of my home, and on some mornings, it is as cold as 13 C (~56 F) down there. I have tried a few ceramic-element heaters, but they typically have rather weak fans in them and are quite directional. This means that they have to be fairly close to me and if I move around, I am out of luck. This Vornado heater generates just as much heat as the others, but the fan is more powerful and pushes the warm air out further, and the grille on the front seems to diffuse the air better. A few other things that I like are that the heat is produced instantly; no warm-up like the ceramic units, and also that it has three different heat settings vs. the two on my other heaters. The only "con" on the heater, and this could be just my particular unit, is that the recess in the case that forms the carrying handle has very sharp edges, both the part that rests on your fingers and the case surface below it. They can be easily smoothed with a file or even an emery board if needed.FunScienceDad
