You must have very strong hands to twist the bowl off for cleaning as required–a simple latch or better design in general is needed. Answer to question– Mine is extremely difficult to twist off too. Perhaps some are defective that way. I am actually returning it for that reason. You should not have to struggle, and I do mean struggle- to remove the bowl for cleaning. Spent a good 5 minutes trying to twist it off–yes I know spout up and counterclockwise. Then I could not get it back on tight enough for the green go light to come on, I could not wait to get this and am SO DISAPPOINTED! For such an expensive item it needs a better design. I’m amazed at how good of a job this thing does every time I use it. I feel like a kid watching juice magically appear and it squeezes every single drop out just like it shows in the presentation. I must’ve used it close to a hundred times now because I juice fresh orange and lemon juice every week using big bags of both. I have a very arthritic right hand and bad right shoulder and it was very difficult squeezing manually before. The downsides to this machine are two. Getting the dome off and on and the tab on the back of the juice bowl. The dome is very slippery and when you don’t have a lot of strength to begin with it’s maddening at times because it slips out of your hand easily, well mine anyway. Also, the tab on the back of the juice bowl is hard to pull down and keep down when trying to get the dome off and on, and both things have to happen at the same time. Since the dome’s slippery it’s hard to hold it, pull the tab down, and push in or pull out, depending on which you’re trying to do. Vinci needs to make the tab easier to pull down and put some kind of grips all over the dome to make it easier to hold while you’re trying to get it off and on. These reasons are why I gave it only four stars. Otherwise, the machine itself works like a dream and the heavy-duty plastic parts hold up well to the tasks. I love it, I just wish it weren’t so hard to take apart.Tastes Great
We purchased the Vinci juicer and absolutely LOVE it! Best thing since sliced bread. We have two large Satsuma trees and they were covered this year. I made juice for my mother and Son several times. I've juiced about 10 gallons of juice so far off our tress. It is SO easy with the hands free, just slice in half and place onto the reamer, then the juicer does the work. The clean-up is a breeze. I just hand wash it instead of putting it in the dishwasher. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the little juicer and highly recommend it. We make fresh juice every week.fandy

This pen is great. I have the diamond 580 alr and i was worried about how they were going to make a high quality pen for half the price. However Twsbi still managed to do so. I really like that you can post the cap and the nib is nice as well. Keep in mind that even though the nib appears to be more like a Japanese nib the thickness of the German nib still remains. The fine on this twsbi is quite a bit thicker than a fine on a pilot or another pure Japanese fountain pen. The overall feel is nice and comfortable as well. It doesn't feel cheap, but there is a lot more plastic.kait
My first fountain pen, acquired about a year and a half ago. I'm really glad to have picked this one; it's easy to use and maintain and works really well. I did think it was a German pen for some reason, so I bought it in Fine rather than Medium, but I don't think the line is too thin. I haven't cleaned and maintained it as often as I should have, but it doesn't seem to have sustained any damage at all. Recently while cleaning the barrel in warm water, it unfortunately split a little near the tip where the nib and feeder are inserted, but there's no leakage. Heat seems to cause stress on it, so be careful submerging the plastic components in water. I believe this was my bad, so I'm not counting it as a mark against the pen. Would happily buy another fountain pen from TWSBI, either another one of these or one of their more expensive models.nebulousphantom

I use a pen all day long. One of my complaints with fountain pens is lay it down for a few minutes while you complete another task and then the point is dry. With this pen, just click it closed and when you're ready to write again click it open and the ink feed is ready to go. Also I have many fountain pens (yes, a collector) and the majority allow the point feed to dry out while capped even a relatively short time. In fairness I do live and work in an area of low humidity. The Pilot Vanishing Point takes a day or so of non-use for the point to dry while capped, and only a couple of touches to bring the ink back. My work requires a fine point. This pen (14K gold fine point) has the best fine point of any pen I have ever used. I actually bought a second one in a different color just to see it the first was unusual–the second one exactly like the other. SUPERIOR fine point! The line is fine and the touch is very smooth even on paper that is geared more for printers than handwriting (let alone a fountain pen fine point). Yes the clip down writing position does take getting used to, but nothing that is hard to do.movalrs
The medium nib is perfect and is more similar to the size of a fine German nib; the Oriental nibs tend to be smaller. Writes smoothly and overall just feels good in the hand and is comfortable to write with. I’m left handed and haven’t had any issues with smearing, just have to be careful to keep my hand above the paper. Where has this pen been all my life??? I'm a pen aficionado. I have a hundred pens in my possession but only use maybe five of them. I'm very finicky about a pen – it has to feel 'just right' in my hand. The pen point must be extra fine so my penmanship stands out. Medium pen points make my writing look messy. I was concerned about the clip being in the way of my ability to hold the pen, but it turned out to be a non issue. Being able to click the pen point away when not writing keeps the ink from drying out so when I click the point out, the ink is ready to flow. I love penguins, so it was really hard to say no to this design. I was even more blown away when seeing it in person. I was expecting it to be slightly bigger, however that is my fault for not researching at the size. I normally gravitate towards larger pens. I find the pen comfortable to write with. I believe the nib is the same size as my Custom 92, but it has a different design on it. It also came with a free ink bottle! That was a surprise to me, again should have done some more research. My bottle had a black lid and blue ink. I thought this was odd, so I reached out to Iguana. They said that all Namiki inks come with the black lid. I purchased three different Aurora Ipsilon rollerballs for myself and for gifts, because they are good looking and the Pilot G2 refill fits perfectly. One arrived with the grip section broken; another broke two weeks later. Reading reviews on Amazon shows many cases of this happening. The snap cap puts too much stress on the grip section and the barrel threads eventually just break off. These pens are badly made, and replacement parts do not exist. Aurora did not answer my emails. I have another Aurora 88 with a fine nib however having recently discovered stub nibs and really enjoying writing with them I was keen to try an 88 with a stub nib especially at the great price that Iguanasell offered. I chose the classic black with nikargenta trim. The pen has all the qualities of the 88 (finish, perfect balance, very light in the hand, flawless piston filler, posts very well). The nib has the "house style" feedback of most Aurora nibs though not too much and writes as a true 1.1 stub with clear line demarcation between vertical and horizontal . I purchased three different Aurora Ipsilon rollerballs for myself and for gifts, because they are good looking and the Pilot G2 refill fits perfectly. One arrived with the grip section broken; another broke two weeks later. Reading reviews on Amazon shows many cases of this happening. The snap cap puts too much stress on the grip section and the barrel threads eventually just break off. These pens are badly made, and replacement parts do not exist. Aurora did not answer my emails. Stay away from Aurora rollerballs.Van
I have another Aurora 88 with a fine nib however having recently discovered stub nibs and really enjoying writing with them I was keen to try an 88 with a stub nib especially at the great price that Iguanasell offered. I chose the classic black with nikargenta trim. The pen has all the qualities of the 88 (finish, perfect balance, very light in the hand, flawless piston filler, posts very well). The nib has the "house style" feedback of most Aurora nibs though not too much and writes as a true 1.1 stub with clear line demarcation between vertical and horizontal . I love penguins, so it was really hard to say no to this design. I was even more blown away when seeing it in person. I was expecting it to be slightly bigger, however that is my fault for not researching at the size. I normally gravitate towards larger pens. I find the pen comfortable to write with. I believe the nib is the same size as my Custom 92, but it has a different design on it. It also came with a free ink bottle! That was a surprise to me, again should have done some more research. My bottle had a black lid and blue ink. I thought this was odd, so I reached out to Iguana. They said that all Namiki inks come with the black lid. The Lamy Al-Star has a simple design, similar to the Lamy Safari. It starts at the cap with the iconic paper clip like clip. The clip is springy and long. It is easy to secure the pen with its long clip one handed. The cap comes off easily with a pull. The grip section has a molded grip which helps you to know where to put your fingers. This works with people using the standard tripod grip, not so for others. I don't grip my pens with the tripod grip but luckily the triangular grip doesn't bother my fingers all that much. The grip section is a clear plastic and you can see the feed underneath it. The ink window just below the grip section is a useful feature to monitor the ink level. The Lamy Al-Star is a cartridge converter fountain pen. It takes Lamy's propriety cartridges and converter. Mine came with the Lamy Z24 converter which the Lamy Al-Star takes, making it convenient to use bottled inks with. Works well… but, it's damn near exactly like a safari. I didn't need to pay extra for a see through grip section, and it felt too smooth, and not heavier like I assumed it would… though Aluminum is incredibly light, and I should have anticipated it feeling light in the hand. It writes well, but I found myself using my Lamy Safari instead, since the plastic used for the grip (I got it in mango) on that pen had less slippage.
