This is a use it one thin then put it in your garage and never use again type tools. At $200 this is an expensive one time paint job. I am meticulous about cleaning my tools. Putting it away cleaner then you start with is a must. So don’t blame poor operations on not cleaning. It will run for 20 -30 min before over heating and shut down. Then you need to wait 20-40 min to let it cool and restart. By then the spray tip has dried out and needs to be cleaned. It WILL NOT hold a vacuum and you MUST replace the valve after every use.

Im a professional painter and have used graco products for years and even though i had very low expectations when buying this gun do to it being involved with the DIY serious, I still thought it would be half way decent. I'm shocked that graco would even put their name on this product, nothing close to a fine finish, hard to clean, and spits paint everywhere and will literally ruin whatever project you are doing. Completely useless and CT return policy is even worse. Turns the paint into snot and sprays globs of paint onto your project. Does not have enough power to actually spray exterior paint even when thinned to The maximum amount. Don’t waste your money. This thing splatters paint everywhere, regardless of settings. None of the 5 star ratings below (and I am not saying there fictitious!) talk about a silky smooth finish. It can't be done with this machine (poorly designed, cheaply made plastic crap). OK for painting the back shed in the far distance, but not for painting anything you care about. Yes, Wagner have paid all the You Tubers to rave about this product, but Bunnings should put more effort into protecting the Australian consumer. Not fit for purpose and very disappointed.Greg

I bought this spray gun about 6 months ago and it has earned its keep! Some of the best money that I have spent for painting things. I have painted a ceiling, walls, doors, retaining walls and house gutters. For using inside I actually prefer the traditional brush and roller for ceilings and walls as I find it easier and the paint in the air makes it difficult to see sometimes. Anything that I can move outside or into the garage is perfect! I've removed our internal doors, scrubbed with sugar soap, a light sand and coated using Dulux Aqua Enamel… worked fine but make sure you dilute the paint. I then purchased a paint called Dulux Rapid Finish that is specifically designed for spray guns and is the perfect paint thickness straight out of the tin so not dilution required. This paint in these guns worked amazingly. I have painted the entire gutters of our house and a huge amount of our retaining walls with more to go. This little spray gun alone now that I have nailed my technique is worth the money. Important tips: – I carry a rag with me and in-between sprays I wipe clean my nozzle to ensure no paint build up or blockages. – Half squeeze the nozzle to get their air moving and then apply full pressure to bring the paint through and make sure you are moving the gun whilst spraying. – Make sure you clean the spray gun very well after every use. Clean all parts with water then fill the clean pot with water and run a whole pot of water through the sprayer. – If you get any blockages start by removing the nozzles and clean them. – All of the paint spatter I have had from experience has resulted due to 2 reasons (I needed to clean the gun or nozzle OR I didn't dilute the paint enough and it was too thick). Unfortunately. The one I got was faulty. I found out after only one door. It had a faulty control module making it think it was overheating. I was going to exchange it for a new one but after I taking to American Airless and explaining the amount of work I had planned he guided me to a full sized X5. After using it to paint 10 doors and many more to do, I am glad I did. However, I am strongly considering buying a refurbished handheld airless like the VSP just for all the small oil based paint jobs I have like outdoor furniture. I trust American Airlines to provide provide quality refurbished products or make it good in the case of an ocasional faulty product.rw_761

I purchased the sprayer to paint an office desk. The desk was very large and I didn't want to use a roller/brush because I wanted a consistent finish wothout the need of an air compressor. I used a primer first, and although the primer was thick the sprayer did a good job of spraying the material. Then the paint itself went on rather well without any major difficulties. Pro's: -Easy to use -Covers large areas quickly -Priced accordingly to the market Con's: -Spray finish is not very smooth. Tends to leave orange peel on every coat. Recommend for trim, walls or doors that do not require a smooth, glass-like finish. -Due to the way the paint is sprayed, I had to turn the speed up to try and remove paint streaks. The sprayer does not spray continuously, so the user is force to be careful how they are applying each coat to try and remove paint streaks but still avoid running. -Has the tendency to clog and sputter when the container is around 25% full. I had to keep filling up the container at around 30% to insure this didn't happen. Notes: -Cleanup is similar to any other type of sprayer.rogeande2002

Highly recommend. It's a great product. Use latex directly out of the can (after running through a filter). Don't start at highest settings. Take is slow until you get used to it. Great for Doors, Cabinets and other small jobs. Can do walls too, but might want something w/ hoses to pick up directly from a bucket. But the spray quality is just as good. so If you want to do some walls, go for it. Great little gun. No more brush marks. Just remember to maintain and keep this thing clean or you will be dissapointed next time you use it. Enjoyjohnmargo1

I bought this sprayer to paint our master bathroom cabinet doors and drawer fronts (28 total plus two solid core room doors). I have a larger Graco airless sprayer, but I am no expert. I was concerned about needing under one gallon of paint and just filling the sprayers hose for a rather small job. The 360 gave me the confidence to do this job and have plenty of paint with one gallon. I painted all the cabinets doors and drawers and two doors and hd pint left over. The crazy thing is, they look like they were painted by a pro. We are so happy we tackled this job ourselves, rather than contracting the work and now have a sprayer to use on all of our other small projects (at a fraction of the cost). This is a great sprayer, easy to use and easy to clean. I look forward to doing some refurbishing of some older furniture we inherited and see how stain sprays.ImNoPro

We were asked to try this sprayer and we were thrilled ! We have owned many graco sprayers but this has become one of our favorite go-to hand held sprayers . It provides a flawless finish , smooth coverage and it doesn’t overheat . We like it most for accent walls .Would Wood Work

I spent over 30 hrs preping to try and get a good result on my cabinets. It only took about 15 minutes to ruin all that work with this sprayer. Instructions said if you have an odd spray pattern to adjust the speed. Well, this model does not have a speed adjustment. To get an even coat on what you’re spraying you have to make several passes then the paint starts running in some areas. Save your money and do your project by hand or by a better model. If zero stars was an option that’s what this item would be getting.Unsatisfied

Really mixed feelings on this purchase after the 1st use. The Good… Easy to s/u & use pretty much right out of the box. Would be nice if a couple of 5 gal filters & cleaning brushes for the sprayer were added to the box but otherwise you should be good to go once you get the paint & plastic sheets. Sprayed our 32×32 garage in about 3 hours (+/-) after prep. I used Behr paint undiluted which is pretty thick right out of the can & the sprayer laid down a nice even coat w/o any issues. Tip unclogs with a flick of the sprayer tip. I used a 5 gal bucket & notched the lid to help keep the pick-up tube in place & "stuff" out of the paint. I over bought on a sprayer but did so knowing we have a few more big projects left either this year or next summer. The bad… After seeing how easily & quickly I painted my garage I'm kicking myself for not buying this sprayer a couple of years ago when we repainted our house!!! – would have saved me so much time. So far, great sprayer & would recommend for medium to larger jobs.Brian85

I bought this sprayer to paint a new room I just drywalled. It applied the PVA primer well once I turned up the pressure a bit using the 515 tip. Coverage was very good and even. There was quite a bit of overspray, probably due to the tip size and pressure setting. It really wasn’t a problem because I was priming both the walls and ceilings. The next day, I painted the ceilings using a 415 and the regular setting with a good quality ceiling paint. I always hate painting ceilings with a roller because it always seems impossible to not leave roller marks. This sprayer left the perfectly painted ceiling. Even coat and great coverage. This alone made the Graco worth it for me. For the walls, I used the Magnum roller attachment with the ½” nap pad. This also worked well and cut the painting time by at least half. It took a bit to figure out when to press the trigger to feed more paint. In the end, it worked very well with very few thin areas that had to be touched up. The bad is the same with all hose sprayers- clean up. Even with the hose connection to the pick-up tube and running the sprayer, it still takes a long time to clean the sprayer tubes, screen, gun, hose outside, sprayer outside, 2 pails, roller attachment and various pieces. On the last day, the outside temps dropped into the 20s which made it worse trying to clean everything and keep stuff from freezing. Again, the Graco is no worse than any other hose sprayer but it’s what makes using a hose sprayer a bummer.upstate NYer

Very pleased with paint results. Does use paint cup up quickly. Graco could be more informative on paint tips such as where and what tips they recommend. Tips from other guns are not interchangeable with this model. Not easy to locate alternate tips.panterror3

Where to start with this pos

1. First the bleed cap that is on top of the paint cup is always in the way.

The cup lid can be installed in multiple positions so most of the time the bleed lid is in the way.

Simple fix would have been to have the cup only install in one position.

2. When using the smaller dewalt battery be prepared and have multiple batteries charged and chargers ready to go. It burns through them.

The gun gets pretty heavy with the bigger battery… but is needed unless swapping batteries is your thing.

3. The cup is threaded onto the lid. This sucks for a couple reasons:

It better be tight tight tight or it will leak all over the place
Making the cup tight is a chore because the cup carrier wants to collapse and there is no good way to grip to tighten.

And for the good part- try to loosen the cup once it is tight!!! I’m no small dude and I have trouble unscrewing it!
Not to mention if you want to leave the lid attached to the gun and replace the cup it really makes this a pain.

Changing the cup is a mess always, just no good way to do it. paint just drains out of the gun the moment the cup and lid are removed.

The paint screen is pressed into place so if clogged got to remove the cup then wrestle the paint laden screen from its perch. Paint everywhere again.

The gun itself is made of the best paint absorbent plastic money can buy and the body has tons of angles and crevices for paint to latch onto. Making cleanup a mother if you want to keep your $600 gun looking nice. The gun should be smooth like the silver surfer! And made so paint does not stick to it.

Always amazes me how overspray sticks to everything but the coat has to be manipulated to stick.

So the only reason I thought this would be a good tool was because it was cordless, small, easy to setup and breakdown.

No no and no

Cleaning this thing is just as messy and cumbersome as painting with it.

And it better be clean room clean or forget using it again without some major trials and tribulations.

Bottom line, the gun is not worth any perceived time savings.

I hate paying for anything I can do myself. Painting is one of those things. Work this sprayer I am in the process of painting all of my trim. The good: quality is excellent. The bad: You have to practice on a spare piece of you aren't a pro. Figure out the speed you need to move and setting the sprayer needs to be at. The ugly: Masking took 5-6 hours. Spraying took about 20 minutes. Also, research back rolling if you aren't a pro. All in all, I love it.devi0124

This sprayer was great! I used it to spray my old horse trailer. Turned what would have been a day's worth of work into just a couple of hours. My biggest gripe would be that I wish there was a way to adjust the tube inside the paint reservoir without stopping and opening the spray gun up and manually twisting it around. When you're trying to spray all sorts of different angles, it can become a little burdensome to keep having to adjust it. Otherwise, it's a great product! Just make sure to clean the thing really well after using…made that mistake and gunked up the inside of my sprayer, but that's user error.AquaticAudio

It has been many years since I used a paint sprayer. When this project came up, refinishing our master bath vanity, I felt as though I had never used one. I wanted this to come out with a fine, smooth finish without spending $500.00 or more on a sprayer. Reading many reviews and watching YouTube videos I was torn whether to buy one or not as the reviews were either very much for it with excellent results or very much against it because of various issues users were experiencing. After more research and a few phone calls to both Wagner and the paint manufacturer, Kilz, I decided to bite the bullet and get a Flexio 3000. I used Kilz Restoration Primer per the recommendation of Magnolia, whose latex paint I was using. Their advice, as well as Wagners, was to thin it 10%, which I did. I also decided to use Floetrol made by Flood at the rate of 4oz. per quart to allow the paint to level better. After mixing all, I then strained the paint to remove the possibility of lumps. Using the old doors of the vanity for practice, I developed my arm movement pretty well and moved on to spraying the new maple doors with the primer. Letting them dry overnight, I followed up the next day with two coats of finish paint. Surprisingly, I did not experience any paint runs. That in itself made me quite happy as my painting with spray cans usually results in runs. Overall, I was quite pleased with the finish. It was smooth and even. I know Wagner advertises a 5 minute clean-up, but I found it took a little longer for me, around 10 minutes. I wanted to make certain all parts were cleaned well and ready to use for my next project, refinishing my dining room table with stain and varnish. Although I took longer to clean the sprayer, it was an easy process. I did not find it overly heavy to hold during the project, although if I was to buy another paint sprayer, I would seriously consider the Flexio 5000 if I was going to use a sprayer on a more frequent basis. There is one feature I wish Wagner could devise on their spray tips and that would be some way of rotating the tube in the paint cup to different positions without having to unscrew the cup, get messy trying to rotate the tube, clean up and screw the cup back on. I've given it some thought and feel it can easily be done. That would be very handy as, besides the vanity doors and cabinet, I also painted a bathroom wall cabinet that had 3 cubbies, two doors and inner shelves. Moving the sprayer around to get in all the nooks and crannies would have been much faster with this feature. Bottom line – would I recommend this sprayer? Yes, I would, to any DIY'er looking for a decent paint sprayer at a reasonable price.RalphT

Paint sprayer? Hair dryer? Boat anchor? Absolutely hands down the worst hand power tool purchase I ever made I had been dreaming of owning something like this since I bought my house years ago and this thing is garbage made as cheaply as humanly possible it is louder than an hair dryer heavier than Thor’s hammer and built like a McDonald’s cardboard toy I mean I get it’s a cheaper consumer product but I expect something better for 170 dollars. I was literally tired of holding this behemoth before I finally got it adjusted to where I could somewhat spray with it then it was so incredibly inconsistent and then it started spitting everywhere after about 5 more minutes didn’t even get a whole wall done and at that point all the time and effort of setting up and tinkering I could have had half the room done! Then the dang thing starts spitting and splattering possibly because I tipped it up a little to far but I go to pull it apart from the turbine and paint shoots out into the turbine…..so I get it says not to tilt but I only slightly tilted it it wasn’t like I was spraying ceilings and obviously it’s a poor design but in the end this product has become the first powered hand tool I have ever returned on the same day I had purchased it!Kody walker

I reviewed the FLEXiO 3000 and I currently have a couple other paint sprayers including the FLEXiO 5000. I used the FLEXiO 3000 with Sherwin Williams’ SHOWCASE Stain-Blocking Paint & Primer on a basement drywall project. This was a project for entertaining my 3 year old daughter as she was getting stay-at-home stir craziness and it was not the nicest weather to be outside. So, I did not do all the walls with the paint sprayer as I was not confident that she would not have sprayed herself or items that should not have been sprayed like the dogs. However, I did notice significant speed improvement on using the paint sprayer verse a roller for the walls. It was at least 3/4th faster with the FLEXiO 3000 verse a pain roller. The advantages of the FLEXiO 3000: – It was significantly faster to put paint on the walls compared to a roller and I noticed the paint spread more evenly than traditional roller. – Cleaning the paint sprayer was easier and faster than paint rollers and brushes where it took only 5 minutes to clean the paint sprayer. o Recommendation: Having a wire brush helps cleaning up the paint sprayer when paint as solidify. – No noticeable over spraying with the FLEXiO 3000 and I felt comfortable using this sprayer inside the house. – Utilizing just an extension cord allowed me to maneuver the paint sprayer easier than utilizing a hose like the FLEXiO 5000. – The FLEXiO 3000 felt like it was made out of durable material that would last for a while. The disadvantages of the FLEXiO 3000: – The FLEXiO 3000 had significant more weight at the handle as all components are built in the handle instead of having external components like the FLEXiO 5000 which would cause additional fatigue during spraying. – While the FLEXiO 3000 sprayer felt like it was built well the storage case for the sprayer is flimsy and feels like the tabs for closing the case will break with the slightest pressure. Overall, I would recommend this sprayer based on the speed and evenness of applying paint and the convenience the sprayer provides over traditional paint equipment. The speed of cleaning the sprayer verse a roller or brush is huge advantage. I would have given this paint sprayer 5 stars if it wasn't for the poor quality of the storage case and it almost seems like the storage case was an afterthought.deweaver2

I purchased this spray gun to renovate my guest bedroom and main floor washroom by myself. I followed all instructions carefully here is my honest opinion : 1. Slightly heavy for me to hold for long periods – but was worth getting used to it for the end result. 2. I tried to use the sample bag – it ended up wasting so much paint and also clogged the sprayer at one point. I will not use bag again. Clean up was much easier without the bag. 3. I followed manufacturers instructions and practiced as recommended – glad I did. End result was superb. 4. If you break from painting, be sure to remove nozzle/spout ONLY and give a good rinse/dry to prevent drying on paint on nozzle. Replace and use as normal. 5. I used Behr Marquee paint – worked beautifully. I used settings 9/10. 6. The ability to adjust the level of spray was great. 7. The only prep required prior to painting was making sure your floors were covered for any overspray. 8. A thorough clean up took me about 15 mins. I took apart all pieces of the nozzle also. 9. Only disappointment, I wish it came with the smaller model. But I did get it on sale. 10. I am one happy renovator.RMSHEP

DO NOT BUY THIS SPRAYER Save your time, money, and sanity, and paint it by hand. The time you spend cleaning it, and everything else around what you sprayed (even if you put out a tarp) will be more than what you spent just painting it by hand. Horrible product that clogs constantly. It’s heavy and leaves an un-even finish. No matter how well you clean it (and I used paint thinner), you can’t completely disassemble the unit, and paint will harden in there, and then you’re F%#£Painter123

They tasked me with building 40" marquee letters for my daughter's wedding, and to paint these I invested in the Flexio 2000, as it was something I would use on future projects. I needed to shoot a coat of Killz-2 Primer, and two coats of Valspar Outdoor Latex, essentially a primer and a top coat of cheap white paint. Followed the setup instructions. Filled the pot with water and used a piece of scrap wood to get the feel for the weight and distance need. Emptied the water and filled up with the primer and set the flow to 10 for latex, width to narrow. Using the scrap wood to test and once comfortable went to work on the project. The letters are 40" high, and one coat of primer took 40', which is an immense time saver considered the sides and edges, etc. Once finished, loosened the pot (do not remove), pull the trigger to allow paint to drain back in to the pot. Removed the pot, poured contents back into the primer can, then cleaned up the tool per instructions. Closing: The Flexio could easily pull the latex paint un-thinned and spray uniformly. Wagner should update the manual to show that I should immerse the entire paint body in soapy water for cleaning (not the corded fan/motor). The manual talks about the nozzle end, but not the body. Tips: As you move from side-to-side or up-and-down, when you pause, take a rag and wipe the end of the spray nozzle. In another review I read it splattered paint. This is I believe results from paint collection at the nozzle tip. Keep the rag handy, and a quick wipe is all that is needed. When you resume painting, either point away from your project and pull the trigger stage-1, or aim into the rag. This turns on the fan/motor with no paint and blows out anything collected. Then resume painting as normal.MahJohn

I painted all of the walls and ceiling of a 1350 square foot garage/shop in one days time, including masking all doors and windows and cleaning the sprayer. I did all the work myself and used about 13 gallons of unthinned latex. I am not a professional painter but have used an airless sprayer before. If you have a large area to paint and don[t have to change colors too many times an airless is the way to go. if you are only applying a couple gallons an HVLP or roller would be my suggestion. I would say that this sprayer paid for itself on this one job. Since Harbor Freight tells you all about what this thing does right I'm going to tell you what they left out. First of all, they claim it will handle a 517 tip. I think this is a stretch. While the tip worked fine for the first 5 gallons or so, it began blowing out after that. the pump couldn't keep the pressure up because the opening was a bit too large. I dropped back to a 515 and finished the job with no problems. Secondly, the gun trigger pinches your hand every time you squeeze it. It's not dangerous but very annoying. Finally, spraying with an airless pretty much requires that you present the gun squarely to the surface being painted. On an 8' or 9' wall that means standing on a ladder or walkboard to get the gun square with the surface. Harbor Freight sells extensions for the tip but doesn't offer a swivel for the end of the extension to keep the tip square with the wall. If you are going to be painting over your head I suggest a swivel tip addapter from Graco or Wagner along with one of the very inexpensive extensions from HF. I was very impressed with this little sprayer for the price. I am a general contractor and home builder with 40 years experience. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the pinch at the trigger. this is just poor design and shouldn't have happened. Other than that It is a great little unit and I recommend it.Ken

I've used a few brand "G" sprayers borrowed from other people so I knew what to expect. My house has wood siding and it's due to be re-stained and I knew I wasn't going to try it by hand… So, with sale coupon in hand I pick up the APS1. So far I've only had a few small jobs and it's performed mostly as expected. I did manage to lock the trigger with the unit running, which is both a good and bad thing. Good if you can take advantage of it, but bad when you don't expect it. I will say this, if you're not sure what sprayer to get and you only plan on spraying a gallon here, a gallon there do not get this. This is for when you want to do big jobs and draw from a 5 gal bucket. It empties gallons in minutes and you spend more time cleaning than you do painting. The occasional small job here and there, sure, it works fine and it's just annoying to have to spend more time cleaning than painting, but if that's all you wanted to do… I would get the handheld for that. Next downside – sort of, it puts a lot of paint in the air. If you are painting inside you better cover everything you can or you'll get overspray everywhere. If you think you're going to pick this up and do a quick paintjob you're not. This is not a fault of the sprayer, but just a byproduct of spraying in general. The times I used this type of sprayer were in empty houses and it was the fastest way to paint the house. If you're juggling the normal amount of stuff in a house you'll have a giant mess on your hands. I can't wait to throw a few 5-gal buckets at this and stain my house. I'll probably even paint the stucco on the lower part while I'm at it.David

I have a ton of paint to lay in my 259YO house I'm restoring, a brush and roller were not going to cut it. I looked at a ton of these in various price ranges and kept coming back to this one. Get the wand extension! You can spray a ceiling in minutes without a ladder. I went all out and got the cleaning kits, fluids, nozzles, 50'hose and it was still less then half the price of a big box brand. Here's the thing, it just works. That simple, cleanup takes minutes. Drawing from the paint can is a pleasure. The hand truck design makes it simple to move and if you get the 50' hose, you'll never need to move it at all except to the next job. This was my first airless sprayer and there's really not much of a learning curve. Coverage is much better using less paint then traditional methods. It's nice and lightweight as well. I painted two large rooms including the ceilings using three different colors in under two hours start to finish. I did practice using some leftover paint on a garage wall before I took it into the house. It's designed pretty idiot proof so even a newbie can lay paint easily. I really don't know what else to say, It's a great machine, it does the job, and everything you need to clean and maintain it is cheap and easy to use. Love the garden hose hook up, great touch. No drips, no splatter, no runs, and about half the paint of a roller. Nuff said!Elkington House

Got this gun to lay down a coat of Blitz Black on a 2.5 year Jeep CJ project. Vehicle taped garage cleared and plastic walls installed with filtered airflow. 1.3 nozzle gun from the box with thinner sprays while thinner drips from the air cap. Try to change to the 1.5 nozzle and can't budge the 1.3. Absolutely in the gun WAY TOO tight. I have to assume that is where the leak came from. Could not stop the leak from the nozzle. Never used the gun it got packed up and returned. All painting setup materials and time wasted. Thankful I didn't mix the paint with hardener prior to testing!!MARK

I don't regret the purchase, BUT, out of a two gun set, the primer gun leaks like a sieve. The top coat gun works well and lays down paint smooth, when you get the air pressure just right. The primer gun does a fair job on applying primer, but leaks from the packing nut the needle passes through, no matter how tight you put it. I guess getting 50 percent of what you pay for is the "new norm" for non-American made products. Remember, it's the person using the paint gun that produces the best finish.FarmerPhil

These are my first guns. I repainted my buddy’s truck bed. The primer gun shot some very thick epoxy primer no problem. The other gun also worked great. I have no experience but the clear coat came out so smooth I didn’t even need to buff it to make it almost as good as the oem paint job. I like that it comes with a case. The paint cups have drip proof lids. The vent can let out paint drips but the lid has a rim that curves inward to catch the drips. The only way to get it to drip would be to hold it completely upside down. The fit and finish of the guns is very nice. I will never need to buy another set for my purposes as a hobbyist. Doing this job gave me confidence. Now I know I can paint my ‘68 Mustang myself and do a job I will be proud of!JackSquat

I purchased this to paint the ceiling in my basement. So according to guidelines that popped up to stay focused on the product the hose that comes with this sprayer is terrible. It comes coiled up so small that when you try to uncoil and the type of material it is made from makes it have such an unbelievable memory that it was a major issue to try and get it to stay straight when spraying, it was a constant struggle. All the hose wanted to do is coil back up. In my opinion a possible solution is to add a swivel connector to the ends of the hose. I'm sure this is not a consideration for cost cutting reasons. Other than this unfortunate, major to me, issue the machine did what it was designed to do.No Nickname

I purchased this unit about 2 months ago and finally used it this past weekend. Very impressed with the Wagner Control Pro 130 Sprayer. The spray pattern is very even and it lays down a nice coat of paint. It spit a little which wasn't a big deal. I just brushed it out and resprayed the spot again. I forgot to check the gun for a filter before using, but when I cleaned it there wasn't one. From reading previous reviews the filter should take care of that. I have since purchased a filter. Depending on where you purchase, it may or may not come with the filter. This was the first time I ever used a paint spray and I must say it was so easy. Just watch a couple of videos and read the manual. I for one hate painting, but the funny thing is I'm looking forward to using it in a couple of weeks and as well staining my deck. That's how easy and fun it is to use. Make sure to take your time in the prep work and you will get a professional finish. The hose is a little stiff, so I suggest before using, uncoil the hose and let it straighten out and it will be fine. It's wrapped pretty small to fit in the hopper for shipping. The cleaning process is easy as well, but you have to take your time and clean it right. This process took me approx. 30 to 45 minutes. Like new again. It's not that it's hard to clean, I just want it to work as flawlessly as it did the first time. You will not be disappointed with this unit. Happy Home Owner!!!!!Poppy66

So far I have painted enough doors to use 2 gallons of paint. It's important to follow the step-by-step instructions how to prime, start etc… Since I have been using airless sprayer for many years, I am familiar with this equipment. One important thing to do: filter the paint before pouring in the container. Even new, unopened paint can have skin or solid that can block the nozzle and it's not fun. This gun is not equipped with an in-line filter in the handle (not sure why) so it can plug easily and sputter on the surface. If you follow this advice, you will be happy with the sprayer. Replaced a Titan unit with the pro210es. Better built and very easy to clean. Used with the Graco power roller and an additional 40 inches extension rod. Great combination, fast and steady paint delivery. Great product.pv_user

I was a bit sceptical about its small reservoir size, but it's speed and easy setup make that no worry. We use it in our fabrication shop to paint small jobs as they get finished. It has changed they way we paint and makes our products look much more professional.morrisonmachine

Very pleased with paint results. Does use paint cup up quickly. Graco could be more informative on paint tips such as where and what tips they recommend. Tips from other guns are not interchangeable with this model. Not easy to locate alternate tips.panterror3

Where to start with this pos

1. First the bleed cap that is on top of the paint cup is always in the way.

The cup lid can be installed in multiple positions so most of the time the bleed lid is in the way.

Simple fix would have been to have the cup only install in one position.

2. When using the smaller dewalt battery be prepared and have multiple batteries charged and chargers ready to go. It burns through them.

The gun gets pretty heavy with the bigger battery… but is needed unless swapping batteries is your thing.

3. The cup is threaded onto the lid. This sucks for a couple reasons:

It better be tight tight tight or it will leak all over the place
Making the cup tight is a chore because the cup carrier wants to collapse and there is no good way to grip to tighten.

And for the good part- try to loosen the cup once it is tight!!! I’m no small dude and I have trouble unscrewing it!
Not to mention if you want to leave the lid attached to the gun and replace the cup it really makes this a pain.

Changing the cup is a mess always, just no good way to do it. paint just drains out of the gun the moment the cup and lid are removed.

The paint screen is pressed into place so if clogged got to remove the cup then wrestle the paint laden screen from its perch. Paint everywhere again.

The gun itself is made of the best paint absorbent plastic money can buy and the body has tons of angles and crevices for paint to latch onto. Making cleanup a mother if you want to keep your $600 gun looking nice. The gun should be smooth like the silver surfer! And made so paint does not stick to it.

Always amazes me how overspray sticks to everything but the coat has to be manipulated to stick.

So the only reason I thought this would be a good tool was because it was cordless, small, easy to setup and breakdown.

No no and no

Cleaning this thing is just as messy and cumbersome as painting with it.

And it better be clean room clean or forget using it again without some major trials and tribulations.

Bottom line, the gun is not worth any perceived time savings.

Just break out your apartment rig and get the job done.Brian McFarlin

I hate paying for anything I can do myself. Painting is one of those things. Work this sprayer I am in the process of painting all of my trim. The good: quality is excellent. The bad: You have to practice on a spare piece of you aren't a pro. Figure out the speed you need to move and setting the sprayer needs to be at. The ugly: Masking took 5-6 hours. Spraying took about 20 minutes. Also, research back rolling if you aren't a pro. All in all, I love it.devi0124

I recently purchased a new home that needed a lot of love and even more paint. My least favorite home project to do is paint. Well, that was until I got this paint sprayer. I no longer get hand cramps from using a paint brush all day long. This sprayer is very simple to use but is also extremely effective. Painting each room took a quarter of the time and the quality is a lot better than if I would have done it by hand. I love how light this sprayer is, especially since I was doing multiple rooms at a time. I was able to just set the sprayer in the middle of each room and could reach every wall since it came with a 30 foot hose. The pressure control and adjustable spray pattern make it easy to paint trim and get into tight/ awkward spaces without causing overspray. This is an all around great sprayer with a wide variety of features. I would recommend this product to anyone getting ready to do a painting or staining project.Shane R

I painted my deck railing with the Wagner control pro 170. In the past I have used a paint brush and it was an all day project. The Wagner control Pro 170 made the painting process only take about an hour. I like how well it covered the railing and it got into the small cracks and areas that brush painting did not do. The finish was smooth and the railing looks like new. The instructions for cleanup and painting are very clear that came with the product. I did like the sprayer because it has hose with that so it is not heavy to handle lift up when painting and it is easier to get in tight spaces. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone considering a painting project like doing railings or a larger surface like a fence, house or a wall.Clark17

Do not buy, over priced plastic garbage. The pumps only last a few uses. I have went through 4 pumps and they cost almost $300 every time. Subpar product from Graco shame on them.
