Nothing worse than a company praying you don’t read the smaller text. I was unfortunate enough to buy in store to find out that the 100% waterproof is only for cleaning. Very annoying- but maybe passable if its use was good? Absolutely not. Took forever to get anything off my face which a normal razor could have done 3 times over in the time I tried to use this- and my face still isn’t properly shaven. This is my first experience with a Braun razor. I wear a beard, but still need to keep my neck & cheeks nice and neat. I shaved with a hand razor for years, it was fine. I was interested in a foil razor, but wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep my definition lines on my face without destroying them. However, a friend of mine who also sports a beard has used a Braun for years, no issues. For the price I paid for this razor, I thought I'd try. Not sure why this little razor isn't getting more love, maybe people just don't know how to shave. It works darn good. I can shave closer & faster than I can with a blade, no irritation, and it does not destroy my beard lines. I can't imagine how good your expensive models shave, this little guy works well. Only wish I could use with a cord, but that's not a deal breaker. Don't ignore this razor!mike6000

There was nothing at all to dislike about this product. I found it to be an amazing piece of machinery. You see I have Parkinson's disease. It eventually became impossible for me to use standard blade razor because I could not twist my wrist to the angles needed to save the contours of my face at the jawline on the sides of my face. This razor is lightweight definitely waterproof and easily glides over all the contours of my face with its pivoting blades. Or I also like to point out that it was easy for me to hold because of the texture of the outside casing of the razor itself you see I have no strength in my hands either. I promise that this razor gives just as close a shave as a standard triple Blade razor.Philip

Another great rotary in Philips' lineup. This series does solve the issue of many complaints regarding the detachable trimmer and heads of other Philips shavers – it has the traditional flip-top head and pop-up trimmer. This adds to the bulk of the shaver, body and head, but precludes having to keep track of a separate trimmer and remove the head for cleaning, and it works reasonably well, although for me the trimmer isn't quite as effective as the SmartClick attachments for the Series 9000 shavers. The ComfortGlide Rings really are effective, and provide a frictionless shave, although in this model they are slightly larger than the Anti-Friction rings of the S7940 for example, and require some maneuvering to get around tight areas. The Quick Clean pods use the same cleaning solution as the SmartClean cartridges for the SmartClean stations, which is excellent for cleaning and lubricating the shaver. The Quick Clean Pod is unpowered however, and uses the shaver's power, reducing it by about 1 percent per cleaning, although on a positive note doesn't require cords or cables and is more compact – actually usable for travel. The GroomTribe app is the Achilles Heel of all these Bluetooth shavers, and in particular this model (S7782), because there's no information regarding this particular shaver – the app seems exclusively to recognize only the S7940 shaver. On the plus side, the S7782 will connect, and it does record the shaving time and the percentage of rotation (which improves shaving efficiency), although the motion sensor algorithm in the shaver appears not to recognize the correct rotational movement about half the time. The good news is you don't actually need the app, and this shaver has an LED screen that provides all the essential information about the shaver, including battery life, cleaning information and the previously mentioned inaccurate rotation statistics. The shaving heads (SH71/52) only have a single cutting ring, but actually are comfortable and provide a very close shave. Overall, an excellent rotary from Philips, that provides a close, comfortable shave, warts and all, with the potential to improve with software updates to the app. Recommended.S7782

The Norelco S7000 is a very great shaver and I do recommend this electric shaver to all men especially men with sensitive skin which I have and I’m 50 years old and I have been searching for a shaver electric or not and it will not make my neck red or razor bumps. The reason why I’m giving my purchase review is because it came with a defective battery it won’t hold a charge for that long as Norelco says that it should. So I contacted the manufacture and told them of this and they mailed me a replacement shaver of the same type and the replacement does hold a charge unlike the first one that I bought. And if you have sensitive scan on your neck and when you shave you get a red neck from a razor and bumps then you really need to buy either the S7000 or the S9000 cause I can shave dry and I get awesome results and no redness or bumps and you would want to get the electric Norelco shaver that you can clean it using a cleaning pod. I will never go back to razor’s ever again and when I have wore it out I will buy another one. I did buy the S9000 because it comes with double the blades but either electric shaver will give you a very smooth clean shave.Baylein

I grew up with and have used Norelco rotary shavers and body groom tools all my adult life. My old one, probably close to 20 years now, still works but there is no availability of replacement heads anymore and some wear finally. This is an excellent shaver and I am very happy I got it. I considered the 3000 and 5000 series, but 3000 seems to use lower end heads, and while the 5000 uses the same as this, the hard travel case is essential to me and purchased as a separate accessory brings the cost close enough that it was worth it to just get the higher end kit. The shave is great; I haven't yet tried out the cleaning pod. The shaver cleans very well under running water following the instructions. I also have some extras from my previous Philips/Norelco products that I use with this, such as combs, cleaning brushes and a spare charger.Chris_P

I have used non electric back shavers before and they were worthless. After reviewing this Mangroomer pro cordless on many forums I purchased this at a great Walmart low price. It's well designed, good grip with rubberized handle. It's rechargeable cordless design is great and it works great. With the multiple angles of the extension handle I was easily able to get every nook and cranny of my back hair, shoulders, with ease. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to keep your whole body trimmed.Tonyzany23

I am not new to using a small clipper. I so I think I know what I am talking about. I was shocked how cheep it felt in my hand. Seems like it has no real strength to it. I truly wonder how long it will last. Be sure to never drop it, or it will be gone. It did trim the hair off my back, but then my back hair is very fine. And I did manage to scrap myself up a bit too. Another thing I was shocked about, when it's is on charge, it wont run. So when the batteries die you cant just plug it in and keep using it. And you cant take it apart to put in new ones. But that do tell you how to take out the circuit board with the batteries on it to toss it out. For what I paid for it I thought it would be much better. So I will use it till it goes and then get the cheaper one. All it really is, is the edge trimmer on an electric shaver on a stick. If you have one, you know how they last. Be sure to keep it oiled and clean it every time you use it…. One last thing, it does work me, but I just wonder for how long…..2011jakecarl

I bought one of these a while ago and it was excellent. Rechargeable and solidly built. And it made short work of my hairy back making me no longer looking like I had escaped from the zoo. Alas it got blunt over the years and on seeing the price of the replacement blades it made good sense to order a brand new replacement. I thought I was buying the same again but this new Mangroomer is a pale imitation. Made by the same company and costing the same it's a far inferior product. It's much lighter and has no real weight to it making it harder to use. The weaker joints mean that it won't stay in position plus it is now battery operated not rechargeable. Luckily I used the cutting blade of the new one to revamp my old one so I'm still not being hassled by zoo keepers.afrocub

This is a great, Great Razor!!! It must be charged for the night or a few hours when you first get it though. You don't need to leave it plugged in though. Once it has been charged fully, you will have several days worth of power. It is very quiet, it gives a really close shave and it is really smooth on the face. In addition, it is very simple to clean. You can removed the guard and it reveals the blades of the razor. You just run some water over the blades and it removes the hair clippings.bj987keller

The Good: Great feel, grip, shave, ease of cleaning, quick charge time, trimmer is handy for sideburns to shape them up between haircuts. The Bad: I have now gone through two of these in about 2 years….the first lasted about 18 mos, the second, about 5. Problem? For whatever reason, after awhile, it will not charge. I also use shaving cream when I get out of the shower and use the razor, rinse it before, during and after use….and always and I mean always, after the period of time, you get up, plug it in, go in the shower, come out, dead. It won't charge. My guess? The Lithium Ion Batts. While ALL batteries have a lifespan, they should be much longer thant this. I rinse the head during shaving (shaving cream buildup and hair) 2-3 times while shaving paying attention to let the water drain down 90-95%….I don't think it's water intrusion….as deep as this thing goes is running it under the faucet head down? I used both the old and new charger….the new one shows all power lights on for about 2-3 seconds, goes dim, dead……there is something about these batteries that are not right….I am off to Walmart this mornign to get a 3rd in less than 3 years THIS time WITH the cheap warranty…..I have used Brauns for over 30 years and the batteries always seem to be the issue…do NOT pack them in luggage that will go in the cargo hold or you will find them dead, not chargeable when you get to your destination…this one is ONLY used at home. I take a cheap corded Braun on the road and it's about 20 years old now, still works but it's a dry shave…irritating…….I like the ability to use shaving cream for a much more comfortable shave but, this battery thing is aggravating…..over the 30 years I have gone through multiple 3, 5, 7 and 9 series razors…they ALL have battery failures eventually…so you end up buying a new one…..why? Because the other brands suck MORE. I have had Remington, Norelco (couldn't shave close with a gun to it's head), Chinese knockoffs even a small cordless from Harbor Freight that despite is size and slow speed delivered a great shave until it quit working…..it seems that if a rechargeable battery is run for 20 mins a day max, 6-7 days a week, it SHOULD last more than 6 months….never dropped, never abused, always left open on the counter after rinsing to let the head and razor dry after separated….still died….ridiculous…..I only hope the warranty is worth something when the next one croaks….no warning either….just dies…..still the best brand overall….Terry

I've never really liked wet dry shavers but this one changed my mind. it shaves flawless and leaves you face as smooth as using a traditional razor. i love that it's wireless and it charges very quickly and stays charged for a great amount of time. and cleaning is a breeze with the included brush and removable heads. you can also remove the head and run it under water for a deep clean. all around this is and excellent shaver.James

I really like the color of this groomer and like the little bag that zips up that can carry all the attachments. I also like that it is rechargeable and doesn't eat up batteries. The problem is that it doesn't get a very close shave. Some of the attachment heads are just useless to me. The foil shaver didn't work at all. The adjustable length guide was just a piece of junk that didn't work and I ended up removing it. It comes with a little detail trimmer and a battery. It didn't work at all. I thought maybe it was just a bad battery and replaced it with one brand new from a package that I had at home. It still didn't work. I just accepted the fact that I would not be using the detail trimmer as it appears to be broken straight out of the box. It states that you can use it wet or dry but I have only used it on dry skin and hair. It is convenient and easy to carry along with you while traveling. I used to have the old series of this trimmer that works with battery for more than 3 years before it quit. I bought this one based on my previous experience.. I'm definitely not the blessed ppl with hair. I have just enough as normal Asian ladies 😁 I only use this trimmer to trim my bikini area and armpit. I would say I'm little bit surprised how this upgraded version not really work better than my old trimmer. I really honestly surprised I have to take off the safety trim guide to make it work. I never had to do that with my old Remington bikini trimmer. I would say, if you wish to trim your body hair, this is not the one you want. You will get disappointed. This is a really nice set. It comes with every adaptor you could need, it also has an adjustable clipper blade that is three different lengths on one piece. And honestlyI think that is my favorite part or is it that this thing is WATERPROOF!?! WHAT??? Yes, you can take this thing in the shower!! I seriously love that. It's also really quiet compared to others I've used before and that is really important. It comes with a cute little zipper bag to hold all of your accessories in and it runs on a rechargeable battery. You just plug it into the wall to recharge when it gets low. My daughter who is not safe with a regular razor loves it. It cuts closer than any other electric razor we have owned. I would def recommend as and alternative to regular blade razors. Doesn't stay charged as long as I would like it to…You only have about 20 minutes to get your shaving done per session. But overall great product. MandyMandy

This shaver is the latest one that I have gotten from personal purchase at my local Rite-Aid from a year or so ago. I've had it for a long enough time to want to review. I do only use it when my skin is dry, I have yet to be brave enough and see how it works when my skin is still wet after showering or bathing! Overall I don't see or feel stubble too much once after I've used this shaver! I f there is stubble, I would not blame the shaver, I really will blame myself for missing spots on my legs! The Rechargeable shaver no defects holding the charger price is reasonable. This is my 3 rd on Conair over period of yrs, it is cheaper to purchase the whole shaver then it is to replace the blades. I recommend this brand.Beverly

Adequate to Good, but not Great. I purchased this shaver instead of its lower priced sister because this one has the bikini attachment. For the extra $$$ I found the attachment to be useless. It has a few settings but none is low enough for a decent shave in bikini area. It is safe because of that as there is zero risk of cutting or hurting yourself. Having said that, I had no problem shaving the bikini area WITHOUT the attachment. I tested the unit with dry shaving and found The razor is easy to use. It worked very well on armpits and legs. The moving head is very comfortable and effective. Overall I am happy with this razor but would recommend it's less expensive cousin because of the disappointing bikini attachment.kara.m

I kind of wish I would have returned this to Amazon. At far as dry shaving goes, the will cut hair pretty close to the skin, so you don’t look as hairy. But if anyone feels your skin, they definitely won’t feel smooth skin. And if you have dark hair, you’re still going to see the dark hair follicles after using this. As far as the trim guard, all it’ll do is snag and pull at your hair. The pain isn’t worth it. I use my husband’s instead, which works almost flawlessly, so I shouldn’t have paid more for the [brand:panasonic] trim guard. As for the recharging of this unit, I can leave it on its charger for 24 hours and the light never turns green. I don’t think the unit is a good investment unless there isn’t much contrast between your skin and hair, or if you find yourself often needing to dry shave and get out the door in a pair of shorts very quickly.d.s

This trimmer/razor is excellent. It works as advertised. It is the 3rd trimer that I have purchased. About 15 years ago I had a Norelco that worked great without attachments, so after the trimer broke, due to me dropping it, I purchased another brand and it never worked correctly. It had lots of attachments that had to be changed just to trim my beard. I kept it for a few months and replaced it with a Norelco and it was a poor as the one it was replacing. This is the first that I have found that works as well as the original trimer I had without all the silly attachments.TGSC

I bought this trimmer to replace a different brand one from Best Buy that was starting to have problems after 5 years of use. My biggest problem with this trimmer is that it has no power cord going to the the charging base and instead you plug the charger directly into the outlet then plug the trimmer on top of that. This is too much weight for the electrical outlet. Another issue is the box didn't say what the range of cutting lengths this trimmer allows. The previous trimmer cut hair from 1mm to 23mm but this only cuts from 1mm to 1cm which isn't long enough.Michael

Unit does a fine job of trimming the beard, moustache and sideburns! I remove the gauge and shave with it as well. It's not going to replace cream and a razor, but for my needs it gives me as close a shave as I need. I actually really like the non-corded charger, contrary to some reviews I read. I have charged it once since my purchase and gotten a half dozen shaves and trims in without recharging or loss of efficiency. Very pleased with my purchase.Lucky

I have used Braun electric shavers daily for the last 25 years and Remingtons before that. My Braun Series 7 sideburn trimmer broke this past week when I replaced the head so I was able to compare the two head to head. Braun 7 with a new foil head versus Series 9 Pro. The 9 Pro was a major improvement to the already fine Series 7 with a new head. I was amazed at the major difference of closeness of the shave and how efficient it was in requiring fewer passes to get a close shave. The shave with the Series 9 Pro was every bit as close as shaving with my Merzur safety razor. The new head design design on the Series 9 is clearly better plus there is a new feature that works really well. The head can be locked in a fixed position or used in in a pivoting position. The instructions recommend the fixed head position for your neck and cheeks. While the pivoting head works well under your nose and on your chin. The pop up sideburn trimmer has been relocated to the rear of the shaver which is a much better location than on the front of the shaver. The new charging case is wonderful for traveling on extended trips. I am amazed at the dramatic improvement of the Braun Series 9 Pro over my previous Braun Series 7. The shaver is a beautiful example of high quality German Design, German Engineering, and German manufacturing. Yes it is made in Germany which I much prefer over Chinese mediocre manufacturing. I bought the Series 9 Pro 9465 though I was skeptical. I have always used a Phillips Norelco triple headed rotary shaver because I believed that it was the only thing short of a blade that could give me a clean shave with all the crazy directions my beard grows. The quality of the blades on my Norelco shavers have degraded badly over the years and I find myself grinding the razor against my face for 10 minutes trying to get a reasonable shave and having razor burn afterward. I also don't shave every day anymore and every day past day 1 I go, the worse the shaving experience got. This shaver is amazing! If I shave every day it takes me about 90 second to get a MUCH closer shave than my old shaver, and I even 3 days to test it out and after 3 days the save was just as close and only required a little more effort. I never believed a foil shave could work for me but I'm convinced now. The skin on my face is much happier, and I am too. Pros: Really close shave with minimal effort Very quick to get to that close shave Nice design and fits well in my hand Impressive cleaning/charging station (yet to really test it out) Cons: Its not loud but the sound is high pitched compared to my old shaver and a little uncomfortable VERY pricey, I hope its wicked durable like my Norelcos which each lasted over a decade with just blade replacements Not sure I would spend the extra $100 on the base station if I had the chance to buy it againScoR

Quick assessment: Hefty feel that provides a very close shave, but does take longer to cut every hair with more noise and vibration than other electric shavers. Pros: Extremely high quality and hefty feel. The razor feels “premium” and I doubt it will break or have any quality issues for a long time. I love the attention that was put into the quality. This razor also shaves closer than any other electric razor I’ve tried before. If you are focused on the end result of super smooth skin post shaving, this is a great razor. The shaving head pivots to meet the contour of your face, and glides easily. I did not experience any roughness, scratchiness or other concerns – the razor heads glide smooth without irritation. Cons: Noise and vibration. As this design is a “side-to-side” trimmer, there is a lot more noise and vibration in the trimmer action than I am used to. It is not a defect, just something to be aware. It wasn’t a problem for me most weekends, but during the weekdays it did wake up my wife as I was getting ready for work. Also, while the razor is Li-Ion and can be used cordlessly most of the time, I found it unfortunate that razor does not work WHILE PLUGGED IN as well. I would be worried about forgetting to charge it and then being stuck unable to shave in the morning while waiting for enough charge to get going. Not a huge issue either, but also something to be aware of. Final con I noticed was just the time it takes to properly shave. While the shave is super close, it isn’t super quick and does require a few passes to get everything just right.we98

Really well made. Everything is really nice. The only issue is that it takes double the amount of strokes to shave as a Braun shaver. However, you get significantly less skin irritation with this compared to Braun. This model is made in Japan which is nice. The protective cover is a bit odd shaped and hard to get on. The flip up cutter on the back seems a bit violent to get it opened. Feels like it might break easy if used often.RedPanda

I ordered this a few months ago and have been using it regularly. •Would DEFINITELY recommend over the 100+ manscaped options. •I still havent had to change the Duracell battery I put in it.☆● CLEAN IT OUT AFTER YOU USE IT!!!I was actually hesitant to get this instead of a manscaped because so many reviews said it stopped working after a couple uses. Im pretty much certain its because the idiots dont clean it out after each use. It catches all the tiny hairs it shaves. So you have to take off the black cut guard after you use it and empty it. It literally takes 3 seconds. And it works really well. Yes you may have to go over a couple areas 2 or 3 times but it does the job well and its cheap. 100% recommendTrevor

My Bodygroomer 3100 gave up on me so I got this cheap replacement instead. Philips has unfortunately re-engineered the blades perhaps because it’s cheaper for them to manufacture as these are also very narrow.The narrow blades don’t trim that easily in one go compared to my old Norelco. It doesn’t pick up hair on all strokes even in the line of motion. You’ll find yourself making repeated strokes to cut through the hair and edges. I noticed despite my patient efforts some rough and grainy edges were left over in the end. If you could invest in something more expensive then do that.The saving grace here is that it uses a battery instead so can be replaced quickly with a flip instead of charging it. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve lost charge while trimming the land down under.Overall, would recommend if you’re on a budget and don’t mind spending a few extra minutes. I have always been leary of buying an electric razor. However, over the past few years the cost of razor blades has skyrocketed and the quality of shave has deteriorated just as fast. I was tired of paying for razors that gave you a lousy shave. I was in the military and I know what a close shave is supposed to feel like. I took the plunge and purchased this razor. This razor has worked really well. The quality and closeness of shave is equal to anything I could get from a disposable razor. It takes a couple of weeks for your face to get used to shaving with an electric razor. It has been almost a month since I purchased the razor and I no longer feel any irritation at all. It is very easy to clean and the charge lasts for weeks. I will not back to using high priced low quality razors. You get what you pay for and this razor is very high quality razor at a reasonable cost.Rodger

I have long used cartridge razors, but no more. I’ll preface this with I have sensitive skin and prone to ingrown hairs & razor bumps. I used this in both my face and legs, and it’s the smoothest, least irritated my skin has ever been. There are even some contours I could get smooth with a good cartridge razor that I was able to get with this. I used it ‘wet’ with a foaming shaving cream. I also exfoliated first. I have never been as disappointed with a product as I was with this one. After all the glowing reviews and even some ratings calling it the best electric shaver ever made I took the plunge and switched from my Norelco. I have used for two weeks and the shaves are abysmal. Even after going over the same area 3-4 times there is still stubble left. Shaving the neck is even worse. Going over every area of my neck from every conceivable angle and there is still substantial stubble left. The only good comment I can make is that it feels good in the hand. ReDisappointment

This is my second one blade so the fact that I ordered another one says it all! As someone with very sensitive, acne and in grown hair prone skin I was never able to shave using the traditional razor and shaving cream method. I have tried out many hand held razors from cheap to very expensive but none of them lasted more than a few months never mind an entire year. I saw the one blade at my local pharmacy and decided to try it as I’ve had decent success with norelco in the past. This was the shaver I’ve needed and wanted all my life! The flat head design ensures stability while shaving and also makes it incredibly easy to shape my beard, side burns etc. What I love the most about the one blade is that it shaves the skin pretty much as close as a regular razor without the “side effects” of a traditional razor. No longer do I suffer with acne, razor bumps or irritation after shaving. This new one blade greatly improves upon the first iteration in the design of the guides and charging stand. The first one had individual length guides that didn’t really stay on that well and no charging base. I love the design of this new model because the guide stays on even while trimming the jawline and the lcd screen shows how much charge is left. For how small this thing is it has always held a charge very well. I shave about every week-ish and a full charge lasts about a month depending on how much I shave. The disposable heads last a long time as well given I tidy-up the thicker hair of the torso and below the belt, using a separate blade of course. My first one blade has lasted me over 3 years and it would probably still work if I didn’t drop it so much. To sum up my review, if anyone has had the same issues as I have using a traditional razor than I implore you to give this a try! Your skin will thank you!JNYC

I have always struggled with shavers, I am fair haired and my beard grows slowly so I usually go clean shaven but recently I have tried some different lengths of beard. With this Oneblade Pro I can manage the length easily, the guard comes with an adjustable comb so you can set it between 0.5 and 10mm, the best bit about that is it adjusts so simply with a turn of the wheel, the numbers are nice and clear so it's easy to set where you want it and it also doesn't move while shaving so you get a good even shave. I have attached a couple of photos, when I heard I was getting this I let my beard grow out so it was pretty long and untamed, for the first try I basically took it all off with a combination of using the guard and then removing it for a smooth finish, you can see the difference and it was an effortless shave no fuss and a nice smooth face. Battery life wise it's great so far, charged up once, used every day for a week and it's still going strong, I am guessing it will need charging soon but I can't complain at all. It is comfortable in the hand and us really sinple to use, the rotating head makes shaving so easy and it follows the contours of your face very well. It.comes with an extra blade for body shaving which I haven't used yet but its good to have the option. It comes with a standard 2 pin shaving plug for the bathroom socket and the lead is long enough to not cause any issues. It's much better for me than having to use a beard trimmer if I want to have some decent stubble and have a separate razor for when I want to be clean shaved, this does both really well and I would recommend it to anyone.Mooseman34

I will start this review by saying that I've exclusively used electric razors basically since I discovered what they were after I started shaving. I've used many different types and qualities over the years to varying levels of success. Unfortunately, the Philips Norelco Oneblade Pro fails to live up to the hype. In concept, the idea is interesting and unique, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. To start, the blade touts itself as being able to handle all lengths of hair, and I had gone almost 2 weeks without a shave (which is uncommon for me) so I figured what better way to test it. I tend to shave my neck clean and leave a bit of a 2-3 day shadow on my face so that's what I aimed for. While it accomplished this task, it was much more difficult and took much longer than my traditional method. I started with clean saving using the Oneblade without the guard on it, and it does well enough, although since it only cuts along the top and bottom edges, I found covering large flat areas to be a bit of an interesting experience. Since it doesn't cut directly under the flat middle part of the blade, you have to be sure there is room to move the blade up and down around it without cutting hair you don't want cut. The angle of the blade on the base does not lend itself to this experience. Trying to angle it without flipping it over is nearly impossible, and flipping it over means the teeth of the blade are directly against your skin. Fortunately the rounded edges do save you from any terrible mishaps, but it still does not lend itself to a very easy shaving experience. Once I finished the clean shaven portion of my neck, I attached the comb and set it to '3' (which I imagine is something akin to 3mm of my old Philips Norelco comb. It does manage to keep a consistent 3mm cut throughout, but it's like taking a weed-eater to a full yard of 5ft weeds. Yes, it CAN do it, but it does not do it well. As the blades cut the hair, it would just pile up and jam into the top of the comb until the comb and blades so full of hair they could no longer reach my face, and instead required me to remove the comb, tap out the hair and brush off the blades. The other strange thing about this design is that with the comb installed, only one of the two cutting edges is in use, which means if you only ever use it with the comb installed, or mostly use it with the comb installed, you will dull one side of the blade much sooner than the other. The blade cannot be flipped over to allow you a fresh cutting edge on the side that you use less. One thing I will mentioned about this, is that it is more comfortable than any travel razor I've ever used. So for travel, I would choose it over most other options if you're not willing to pack a bigger or bulkier razor. Bottom line, It will accomplish what it set out to do, but unfortunately it does not do any of those things well. It's comfortable, if a little strange to use and does not nick or cut the skin even if you have to use it at strange angles. But for the same tasks there are better options.Beradon

I was provided the opportunity to test the Philips SatinShave Prestige BRL170/50 premium electric shaving unit. This specific product came neatly packaged, and included the main razor/base, in addition to 4 accessories (a convenient travel cap, a bikini trimming tool/head, an efficiency cap, and a pearl trimmer with safety bar). The SatinShave also came with a small carrying case, and a charging cable. The system took approximately 60 minutes to charge fully, and also featured a 5-minute quick charge option for convenience (if you're in need of a single shave). I found that the unit held power throughout a lengthy shave (multiple areas) consistently. Lights indicating low battery life, full battery life and charging mode were displayed clearly on the main unit. I utilized Philips SatinShave on three areas of my body: my legs, my underarms and my bikini area. The unit itself was easy to hold, and its ergonomic handle shape felt natural, comfortable and light in the hand. This shaver boasts the capability to be utilized for shaving in both wet and dry conditions. I found the shaving conditions to make minimal difference in the units overall shaving performance. The Philips SatinShave removed hair most successfully from my bikini area. The efficiency cap helped to pull my skin taut, and the bikini trimmer accessory enabled me to get a close, smooth shave; even over my typically-sensitive skin. The performance of the Philips SatinShave unit was underwhelming in regard to underarm hair removal. I found it difficult to manipulate the unit under the arm successfully (due to shape of anatomy), in order to achieve/maintain close contact between the foil head and the hair/skin. The Philips SatinShave worked average for leg hair removal. Although the shaver glided over the leg smoothly, the unit did leave residual, coarse stubble, behind on the legs. I found the SatinShave to require more than one pass over areas of the leg (especially the knee) in order to achieve maximum smoothness. In general, I do not feel that the razor surpassed the smoothing effects of waxing or a traditional razor. I also did not feel the electric razor was a time-saver in comparison to a traditional shave. However, Philips SatinShave razor did work to remove hair well in the bikini area and on the legs with minimal irritation, despite having sensitive skin. The SatinShave is also a great on-the-go shaving tool for times when you may miss a spot shaving. It is a great shaver unit to travel with, and I was impressed with the shavers cordless capability, comfortable handle, trimming tools/accessories, actual power and battery-life. Overall, I am happy to have the Philips SatinShave Prestige BRL170/150 as a new tool in my hair removal arsenal.Hayleyc925

I have two complaints about this product – 1) the position of the on/off and speed buttons means I'm constantly turning the razor off when I'm trying to shave. They are placed where one would normally grip the razor. 2) the plastic head protector breaks easily. The grips that hold it in place aren't robust. Your customer service department were very quick in replacing the plastic cover under warranty. The actual razor itself delivers a good shave. This is my third razor purchased from Philips.PHFE

Seeing as I haven't used an electric razor in almost 30 years due to severe irritation after shaving, I was very pleasantly surprised, there was no irritation after shaving at all, with the added bonus of no chance of nicks and cuts. The cut is extremely good it doesn't pull the hairs out like the one I used so many years ago. Its such a good shave that I even use it to shave my head and not just my face instead using of my normal fixed blade razor. The best feature for me is the ability to be able to use it wet (my preferred method) in the shower. I have yet to have full shave with the razor dry, but the spots I missed in the first few shaves That I 'touched up' dry while getting used to the razor showed no irritation at all. I also find it a bit quicker than my normal razor as well, I would estimate at least 5 minutes quicker per full head and face shave. The result is comparable to my normal wet razor except in a couple of areas mainly the underside / point of my chin, its not visibly noticeable but I can feel it when running my hand over those areas, but this may be just experience related. I have also noticed that I use less shaving soap than I did before so it will save me some money in the long term. I would like to see what the shave is like in 6 months and whether I have to replace the cutting heads more often than the estimated 2 years as I am using it for a longer shave than it is really designed for each time I use it. The other thing I have noticed is it is so quiet when in use even when cutting several days’ growth. I was pleased at the fact it came well packed in attractive OEM packaging with its own travel case, the only thing I would suggest is perhaps a little additional space inside the travel case to accommodate the charging cable. Other than that it was easy to use, easy to clean with fast charging time and plenty of shaving time. The pictorial instructions are straight forward and easy to understand. It took a little while to get used to a different speed of shaving and the fact I had to use circular motions for the best shave, but now I wouldn't be without it. Even my girlfriend has noticed how good a shave it is, I didn't tell her I has switched from fixed blade wet shave to electric and she didn't notice the difference. I would recommend this razor to anyone considering 'trading up' to an electric razor. Had I had the chance to 'try before I buy' I would have purchased a similar model of razor years ago.Fraggle1971

As someone with very sensitive, acne and in grown hair prone skin I was never able to shave using the traditional razor and shaving cream method. I have tried out many hand held razors from cheap to very expensive but none of them lasted more than a few months never mind an entire year. I saw the one blade at my local pharmacy and decided to try it as I’ve had decent success with norelco in the past. This was the shaver I’ve needed and wanted all my life! The flat head design ensures stability while shaving and also makes it incredibly easy to shape my beard, side burns etc. What I love the most about the one blade is that it shaves the skin pretty much as close as a regular razor without the “side effects” of a traditional razor. No longer do I suffer with acne, razor bumps or irritation after shaving. This new one blade greatly improves upon the first iteration in the design of the guides and charging stand. The first one had individual length guides that didn’t really stay on that well and no charging base. I love the design of this new model because the guide stays on even while trimming the jawline and the lcd screen shows how much charge is left. For how small this thing is it has always held a charge very well. I shave about every week-ish and a full charge lasts about a month depending on how much I shave. The disposable heads last a long time as well given I tidy-up the thicker hair of the torso and below the belt, using a separate blade of course. My first one blade has lasted me over 3 years and it would probably still work if I didn’t drop it so much. To sum up my review, if anyone has had the same issues as I have using a traditional razor than I implore you to give this a try! Your skin will thank you!JNYC

With this Oneblade Pro I can manage the length easily, the guard comes with an adjustable comb so you can set it between 0.5 and 10mm, the best bit about that is it adjusts so simply with a turn of the wheel, the numbers are nice and clear so it's easy to set where you want it and it also doesn't move while shaving so you get a good even shave. Braun Mini Trimmer is amazing. Firstly the size it's small and compact can be easily carried anywhere you go. But not to underestimate by the size though small it perfectly trims down the hair without any pain. I used it in my bathtub as wanted to check if it really was waterproof and it was perfectly waterproof and works perfectly fine. Can be used from head to toe i did try doing my hands and legs and my back everything was done in jiffy with a shiny skin. Cleaning is very easy. Comes with a battery so can use rechargeable battery best part is the battery as no need to bother about any charger to be carried or forgetting and charger can buy extra battery wherever you are when required. Its a very easy quick fix when you really have no time to parlor or do your home waxing or epilator. If looking for a long time results i would not recommend it as the hair removed is just superficial. For a quick use this is the best and I love it for that.Ashraj

Pros: It trims really well but it broke after a few uses. I have had 2 of the same trimmers now and they have both broken after less than 5 uses! I loved it when I first started using it but it just stopped working even after a change of battery. Cons: It broke after a few uses. Well most conair products worth the price. However the Conair Twin Foil Shaver is great fornthe shave but the power connection doesnt hold. The plug and charger is all in the a/c box and it just stopped working less than 6 months into owning.robyn.l

This electric razor is really good at removing hair. To me, I feel that it’s a lot safer than using a traditional blade razor because it limits the amount of nicks and cuts you get. I got it on sale so it was only $10. You can use it just about anywhere and there’s a special blade to use for delicate areas. I’d recommend if you’re looking for an electric shaver.christian.b

I had never used an electric shaver before, and was told that it was the best method to avoid razor burn and bumps, so I bought this one. I thought it had nice packaging, and appeared to be of decent quality without being ridiculously expensive so I chose this one. I tried it out on my legs first, you have the choice to either wet or dry shave, so I tried it dry first, and nothing really happened. I guess it took a little of the hair off, but not enough to be anywhere near satisfactory. So I lathered up with some shaving cream and water and tried again. This time went a little better, and although it didn't shave as close as I would have liked it to, it got the job done okay. Cleaning it is a nightmare though, it is near impossible to get all the hair out of the head and out from in between the head and the socket it goes in to. And you need to clean it out quite frequently, I had to twice just to finish my legs, and they weren't really very hairy to start with. It did pinch me once also well, but that may have been because I was holding it at in improper angle, as I was just learning to use one. All in all, for the price I can't really complain, but if i had it to do over again, I would probably choose to invest a little more money into a better shaver.michaela.d

This is a great, Great Razor!!! It must be charged for the night or a few hours when you first get it though. You don't need to leave it plugged in though. Once it has been charged fully, you will have several days worth of power. It is very quiet, it gives a really close shave and it is really smooth on the face. In addition, it is very simple to clean. You can removed the guard and it reveals the blades of the razor. You just run some water over the blades and it removes the hair clippings.bj987keller

The Good: Great feel, grip, shave, ease of cleaning, quick charge time, trimmer is handy for sideburns to shape them up between haircuts. The Bad: I have now gone through two of these in about 2 years….the first lasted about 18 mos, the second, about 5. Problem? For whatever reason, after awhile, it will not charge. I also use shaving cream when I get out of the shower and use the razor, rinse it before, during and after use….and always and I mean always, after the period of time, you get up, plug it in, go in the shower, come out, dead. It won't charge. My guess? The Lithium Ion Batts. While ALL batteries have a lifespan, they should be much longer thant this. I rinse the head during shaving (shaving cream buildup and hair) 2-3 times while shaving paying attention to let the water drain down 90-95%….I don't think it's water intrusion….as deep as this thing goes is running it under the faucet head down? I used both the old and new charger….the new one shows all power lights on for about 2-3 seconds, goes dim, dead……there is something about these batteries that are not right….I am off to Walmart this mornign to get a 3rd in less than 3 years THIS time WITH the cheap warranty…..I have used Brauns for over 30 years and the batteries always seem to be the issue…do NOT pack them in luggage that will go in the cargo hold or you will find them dead, not chargeable when you get to your destination…this one is ONLY used at home. I take a cheap corded Braun on the road and it's about 20 years old now, still works but it's a dry shave…irritating…….I like the ability to use shaving cream for a much more comfortable shave but, this battery thing is aggravating…..over the 30 years I have gone through multiple 3, 5, 7 and 9 series razors…they ALL have battery failures eventually…so you end up buying a new one…..why? Because the other brands suck MORE. I have had Remington, Norelco (couldn't shave close with a gun to it's head), Chinese knockoffs even a small cordless from Harbor Freight that despite is size and slow speed delivered a great shave until it quit working…..it seems that if a rechargeable battery is run for 20 mins a day max, 6-7 days a week, it SHOULD last more than 6 months….never dropped, never abused, always left open on the counter after rinsing to let the head and razor dry after separated….still died….ridiculous…..I only hope the warranty is worth something when the next one croaks….no warning either….just dies…..still the best brand overall….Terry

I've never really liked wet dry shavers but this one changed my mind. it shaves flawless and leaves you face as smooth as using a traditional razor. i love that it's wireless and it charges very quickly and stays charged for a great amount of time. and cleaning is a breeze with the included brush and removable heads. you can also remove the head and run it under water for a deep clean. all around this is and excellent shaver.James

I absolutely love this product and plan on never shaving my legs with a regular razor again!!! This does hurt a little bit to use but the discomfort gets better as you continue to use it. I used this on my lower legs and it went pretty fast. You can see that it pulls the hair out from the root. This epilator charges quickly and the battery stays charged for awhile. It works on short hair which is great but if it’s too short it doesn’t get it all and you need to go over the area again after it grows a little bit. I am so glad that I bought this instead of an electric razor. My legs are so nice and smooth! Would definitely recommend!!rachelle.e

This is my first epilator so I didn’t really know what to expect. It hurts, definitely yes! But if you power through it for a few seconds it stops hurting so much. The smooth skin after is quite nice. I was very excited! But that excitement quickly faded when my hair started to come back all ingrown! 80% of my hair follicles are red, itchy black dots. I exfoliate with no luck and basically now just wait it out. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but to me it’s not worth it. A bit of razor rash is better than this.cbonds

The first time using this on my legs took me about 2 hours because of the pain, yes on the lowest setting it lasted that long! I'm a T-Girl so my hair was thicker than the hair this is expected to be used on and it hurt a lot! Buuut after the first time, it's now very painless and i've used it to clean up a few times since without any discomfort. The battery life is amazing, it's top quality, and the attachments work wonders. The foil shaver can even be used for facial hair. It definitely does its job, and very well. Advice for first use Exfoliate! Soak them legs!Take it slow! There's no rush.Use the massage attachment for epilating, and press down but not hard.
