This product has worked amazingly well and my son has loved riding it around the neighborhood. We may have done something wrong but for some reason the battery will not hold a charge. I called razor and as usual amazing customer service. They are sending us a new battery free of charge possibly because it_-Ès on backorder or possibly because they_-Ève had issues with it. She didn_-Èt say why but it seems like every time I call razor with a product issue they are so great about taking care of it or helping me with it. I do highly recommend razor products of any kind with the amazing customer service That they have. Thank you razor for keeping us rolling!!

With so many choices out there for electric boards it’s impossible to make even an educated guess about which brand to go with. I had already purchased a Bustin Sportster hybrid & a maxpro 2 when I stumbled upon backfire. I bought the G3 during the Black Friday sales event & paid less for it than either of my other two boards. It out-performs both of them… & for less money. I took that as a sign… I’ve now built two diy boards using backfire equipment & bought the ranger x2 & zealot S. I’ve ridden evolves, one wheels, & an array of other boards & PEVs. Nothing comes close to the consistency I’ve received from backfire. Just a fantastic company making fantastic boards. I know the term “boosted killer” gets thrown around a lot in the eskate community, but the zealot S is the board that boosted would be competing against if Boosted was still around. Amazing purchase! I haven’t been on a skateboard or longboard in years and I had a friend show me his G2 and I loved it! 45 minutes later I justified spending a few more bucks and bought the G3 and being satisfied is an understatement. This thing rips and is an amazing source of fun and adrenaline especially if you have some good trails that are accessible. It says you should be 14 and over but if you let your young ones use this than make sure they have all their gear, this thing can go fast! Aside from the amazing product itself, the customer service is top notch and they will honor their warranty for any defects if any. Although build quality is really great too! Also, I’ve seen many ads pop up for many other board companies but it seems like Backfire earned its good reputation through quality products and services rather than advertising. Best investment I’ve ever made. This thing eats up hills you will feel like the silver surfer lol. It has the power to overtake bicycles and the brakes to stop if you come up to a crowd. The acceleration on sport mode almost threw me off the first time riding it because I was not expecting the torque. You really need to lean forward and push against the acceleration with your back foot. Once you ride around a few miles you quickly become comfortable and realize that with the right truck tuning, you can go FAST with no wobbles. My only complaint is I wish the range was a little better- but that’s to be expected with a budget board. I love this board. This is my first e board and def not my last. I look it on a 5 mil run down wind with 12 mph winds, then turned around and did the same up wind. The wind will slow you down and so will hills. The break works well but the Bearings will need to be replaced. They don’t spin for bird poop. Worth the buyGarnett

Just got the board last week and it's awesome!! Handles really well and has a lot of torque in high mode.(BRAKES ARE STRONG)and smooth. Goes up any hill I've thrown at it so far to at least a 30 percent grade. Im 140 lbs and I hit 25 mph in my speed test but didn't have the throttle all the way forward in high mode(HIGH+ MODE IS ONLY FOR PROS!!! LIKE A ROCKET UNDER YOUR FEET…handles great in high mode but tighten the trucks cuz speed wobble will happen. Range is incredible on this thing!! I went 16+ miles riding on medium mode(not slow..still 16mph) mostly and a few high mode runs before it finally gave me a low battery beep..in conclusion this board is a beast and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality budget board!! The voyager board is a great combination of performance and size. The motor provides more than enough power to get around at a reasonable speed and the battery covers 7 miles which is more than enough for my needs—I can get to work and back with a single charge. The form factor is amazing given the performance. The board is compact which helps keep the weight down and the size of the deck is good for normal use. That said, those with larger feet might want something wider. The motor is tucked neatly into one wheel which keeps it sleek. The controller has a ton of functionality and conveys a lot of information through just lights and vibration. It takes a bit of time to learn the different signals, but once you’ve taken a couple spins, you’ll have it down.Sjp7
I bought this board as a graduation gift for my brother. We rode together every day for about a week, on separate boards. After about 5 days the battery compartment started swelling and the board would say it’s fully charged then die after a few seconds of riding, it would go for a while if nobody was on it. Other than this it was a great board while it lasted and if the quality control was better I would buy another but I ended up returning it and spending the extra $100 on a brand name one.HaX

Just got the board last week and it's awesome!! Handles really well and has a lot of torque in high mode.(BRAKES ARE STRONG)and smooth. Goes up any hill I've thrown at it so far to at least a 30 percent grade. Im 140 lbs and I hit 25 mph in my speed test but didn't have the throttle all the way forward in high mode(HIGH+ MODE IS ONLY FOR PROS!!! LIKE A ROCKET UNDER YOUR FEET…handles great in high mode but tighten the trucks cuz speed wobble will happen. Range is incredible on this thing!! I went 16+ miles riding on medium mode(not slow..still 16mph) mostly and a few high mode runs before it finally gave me a low battery beep..in conclusion this board is a beast and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality budget board!! I got this for myself for my 60th birthday last month. When you ride it for the first 20 km the speed is limited to the first 2 gears, which I found to be a very good idea. I found the remote throttle and break difficult to get used to because there is a very small distance between no throttle and full throttle and no brake and full braking. I have ridden 120km now and still occasionally having a little slip of my thumb on the throttle that gives a sudden acceleration and it has almost thrown me off a couple of times, but I just managed to stay on-balance. Similarly with the braking. There is a hill between my place and the beach where I normally ride my skateboards and the motors are strong enough to take me up over that hill which is about a 20% grade at the start to 30% near the top and I weigh 75kg. I am glad I didn’t have to carry it up that hill because even though the board is small, it still weighs about 7-8kg. I haven’t taken the board more than about 6km yet, by which time the board is at about 85% of full battery power. I always wondered whether you could still pump an electric board to propel it without using battery power. It turns out that I can pump it without power on but not into a breeze. I bought the version with the hub motors because there would have been too much resistance to pump the riot belt drive system without power on. Also I can’t pump it unpowered to a high speed like I can on my regular Carver-truck board. However, the Exway board can take me where I want to go faster than my regular skateboard using 3rd gear. I can pump my regular board to about 14-15km/hr. The Exway can do up to 39km/hr in 4th gear, but I haven’t gone that fast yet because I have loosened the front trucks maximally to allow me to pump it while I ride and I’m concerned that that amount of instability at 39km/hr could cause a bad accident. I do wear a bicycle helmet and gloves and knee protection when I ride the Exway board. I did have a problem of the board and remote becoming disconnected one morning and there was no instruction on how to re-establish the connection. However I worked out that if you take the battery out of the skateboard and replace it, the connection was restored. That tip should be in a FAQ or in the instructions with the board. I will be purchasing a spare battery so that I can go longer distances and also to do a proper range test. I have mostly been skating on smooth cement footpaths around my home and down the beach at Sandgate and Shorncliffe in Brisbane. I also skate out to the tip of the Shorncliffe Pier which is longitudinally fixed wooden decking. The ride comfort on smooth cement and the wooden decking is good. The cement joins slow you down so I usually turn just before the joins to reduce this effect. On rough cement and rough asphalt the ride is quite vibratory and would need a bigger diameter wheel to dampen it to a more comfortable ride. I do get better ride comfort on my regular board over these surfaces despite using the same diameter wheel (85mm) and an even harder durometer of 83 on my Carver-truck board because I have installed a medium density sponge rubber riser between the trucks and the deck to absorb vibration and also reduces the noise of riding too. Maybe Exway could consider using a sponge rubber riser pad to reduce vibration and noise also. I had better sign off here as the light is fading and I have some work to be done tidying up the back yard Happy skating and Skate safe! The second video is of me pumping my Carver-truck board with 120mm cloudwheels (verdict: The cloudwheels gave a nice smooth ride but the durometer is too soft for a nonelectric board and slows down too fast.
