20 Best Electric Toothbrush Flosser Combo (Jan 2023 Update)

I have been using my Sonic Fusion for about a year now. I bought it at the Kennewick Wa BB&B. The way I use it is this: First I brush and floss like normal. Then I fill the Sonic Fusion reservoir with warm water and a few table spoons of mouth wash. I load the tooth brush with tooth paste and push the brush only button. I brush with the electric tooth bush for about a minute before I push the water floss button and brush and floss simultaneously. Of course this washes away the tooth paste but the mouth wash also has a cleaning effect when you brush and floss simultaneously. I just went to the dentist two days ago after using the Sonic fusion for the past year. My Hygienist said my mouth was so clean and healthy she had no work to do in there. Then she gave me the Cleanest Mouth Award. I highly recommend this product especially if you have problem teeth and gums. My mouth has never been so clean and my Hygienist would attest to that. I sincerely hope this review will help someone to better oral heath and better health overall.Thomas

The Waterpik Sonic-Fusion Flossing toothbrush is amazing and great. It flosses your teeth/gums while brushing. Overall my teeth and gums have improved a great deal. Highly recommend this product. Also, my dentist is impressed with the results. I also ordered a couple additional tooth brushes as I change the brushes every 3 months. Good to have extra on hand.Patti

On the strong urging of my dental hygienist I bought this unit. 4 months later the stain on my teeth was really not any different than it had been, so the benefit of the brushing cycle is quite doubtful over doing a half-decent job with a toothbrush. However, the pressurized water-flossing was easy to use and seemed to remove all particles of food matter from between the teeth. But this critique is anecdotal. Maybe it will do a better job for folks who have other dental brushing-based issues. Now, the worse part: The unit failed to charge after only 4 months. Somebody had told me to unplug the unit when not in use but there is no instruction to that effect. This also makes no sense give the charging is inductive, and any reasonable design would assume the unit remains plugged in at all times. Perhaps this failure of the battery or its charging circuit is an anomaly, but it should never happen. Hence the rating of 4, which really should probably be a 2 except I would continue using both the brushing and irrigation (flossing) features were the unit still functional. I returned it for a replacement (3-year warranty) and I await its arrival as I write this. Notwithstanding what I've noted, still I would recommend this over other models or brands because of its features. It really does a good job, especially useful for those who have become sloppy in brushing. Part of that is because there is a timer that pauses the brush cycle 3 times so you know when to move on to the next layer of teeth (posterior and anterior of upper and lower). For that alone it can be invaluable, quite apart from the effective flossing feature. Final note: The replacement brushes are not cheap!JimN3JT

I love this waterpik/toothbrush combo! When I bought it, we were in the process of moving so it went into storage for 9 months. By the time I took it out to use (over a year), the battery was completely dead, but Waterpic send me a replacement at no-charge (THANK YOU!). I use to use a separate electric toothbrush and waterpic, but this takes the cake. The size is perfect since it doesn't take up too much space on my vanity, and I appreciate the various speed settings for both functions, but most of all … the cord doesn't get twisted and goes right back into position easily. My dentist recommended this product, said she uses one herself. I don't know if I could ever go back to needing 2 separate devices to clean my teeth. And, having the flosser work through the brush makes it much easier to to control where the stream is going. I did run into one problem: after several months, the flosser started to run by itself at random times (like the middle of the night!). I had to keep it unplugged when I wasn't using it. But I had an online live chat with a Waterpik support person, and they sent a new unit as a replacement.geo.

The Sonic-Fusion® Professional 2.0 has exceeded my expectations! The toothbrush and flosser and very powerful and left my teeth very fresh and clean. This product doesn't take up much counter space and charges quickly. I have previously used a different electric toothbrush that did not reach all of my teeth. This Waterpik toothbrush reaches the back and sides of all my teeth. I love the flosser because I honestly hate traditional flossing and this one ensures I use it daily. It does the work for you – what more could you need? So far I have been noticing that my teeth aren't as sensitive. I can consume cold/hot food and drinks. Used many years ago a different brand of water floss, this one is better in all aspects. Definitely will keep using WaterPik in the future. The pressure dial is very easy to use and set, after a week of progressive increments I can use it at 10 without any discomfort and my teeth looks and feels super clean. Been using electric toothbrushes for many years, but this is the first time using a sonic one, I'm amazed, hope my oral hygienist is as pleasantly surprised as I am. Was a little concern about a few bad reviews concerning the battery on the toothbrush, please, do read the instructions: one initial 24 hours charge, then 1 hour weekly when the indicator shows 1 bar only. Do not leave the toothbrush on the charging base. It's your fault if you damage the battery. Mine works as expected.GARP

I love this product, but the toothbrush battery only lasts about a year. They do not make replacements! I had to buy a whole new unit which seems crazy because I don't need the waterpik part. Ok, if you want strong, powerful, and effective then this is the set for you. I really liked the wireless inductive charging unit, lithium ion batteries rechargeable. The sonic toothbrush has 3 modes: A. Clean for standard mode for Superior teeth cleaning, B. Soft-gently cleans teeth and sensitive areas, C. Massage-stimulates gums with gentle pulsation, my gums actually tickle. The brush produces 31,000 brush strokes per minute according to the box Has a nice, clean, modern design, easy uncomplicated design. The oral irrigator is strong, the first time that I used it I think it shot 4 ft across the room! According to the box it says the water pressure is from 40-90 PSI with 1400 pulses/min, the water tank is easy holding 150ml of water. My mouth feel cleaner after using this set. Not only does it clean my teeth but it also has some features that have spoiled me such as the 2 minute auto shut off timer, which I like because my dentist said to brush for a minimum of 2 minutes, and as a busy adult let's be real I don't have time to sit there and watch the clock, so this helps to ensure that I'm being effective. I love my teeth and want to keep them in my head, so oral Care is very important. LED lights are pretty, the blue light indicates the three operation modes, and charging indicator. I do like that it's a 2 in one unit, it really does save a lot of space on my bathroom sink. The first few times a used the water flosser was a little bit messy but that was my own fault. Unit charges fairly fast, like 2 hours and I am using it now for 1 week, both water pick and toothbrush are still going. Time will tell if it will last or not, so far so good.JustMe

If this appliance doesn't give you a cleaner mouth and better teeth, nothing will! I must admit that I've never had an electric toothbrush, let alone an irrigator, before this one, but it would be hard to miss the effect! The vibrating effect of the brush does more cleaning in a few minutes than you could do in twice the time using a manual toothbrush. My dentist had never mentioned getting an electric toothbrush, but I'll be asking him about it at my next appointment. The irrigator works very well also, but get it into your mouth before turning it on ( live and learn ) so I've got to work with it for a time to get used to it. I've been using Philips Sonicare toothbrushes for a number of years now, and I won't spend a ton of time in my review on the toothbrush itself. This product is set up just like I would expect from any other Sonicare product. The integration of the base for the flosser and the toothbrush charger is a nice feature, and it saves space on the counter. I mention this because you won't have any choice but to put it on the counter – it takes up some substantial room! After having previously used a Waterpik flosser that was a little messy, this is a nice change of pace. Philips has applied the same idea with the changeable toothbrush heads to their flossing system, and the tips are replaceable. The handle of the flosser is the same form factor as the tooth brushes and the water tube is self retracting nicely into the base. It's also long enough to give you some working room when you want to floss, even though you won't want to wander far from the sink anyway while you're using one of these. Multiple cleaning modes and pulsing to the water stream serve similar functions as the toothbrushing letting you know when it's time to change sides. Of course refilling the tank is dependant upon how often and for how long you use the flosser, but during my first few weeks I got at least 3 days out of each fill before I had to refill it. None of the modes are painful on my gums, and the deep clean feels like it is making a difference on my teeth and gums. The added inclusion of the Sonicare toothbrush as well really tops this one off. The included brush has the 3 modes – Clean, Deep Clean and Gums, and it's compatible with the wide range of Sonicare heads as well. This is the brush that I had already replaced most of my family's with (or one similar) and I loved that there is a charger for it on the base of the flosser. Overall this is well made, and garners the room that it takes up on the counter. I love being able to answer "YES!" when the hygienist asks me if I've finally gotten around to flossing…dronedad

UNBOXING: The unboxing experience of the Sonicare Power Flosser & Toothbrush System is pretty straightforward. In the box, you receive the Power Flosser machine and removable reservoir, 3 flossing nozzles plus a nozzle case; the toothbrush plus brush head, and travel case, and also a travel charger. There are also two manuals—one for the flosser and one for the toothbrush. I do recommend going through some of the details, as it explains some functionality that you might not otherwise realize if you skip the manual. BUILD: Overall, it’s a very plastic build, but that’s to be expected. The flosser is lightweight in the hand and while it’s permanently attached to the system, the tubing easily retracts into place, so you won’t be hassled with the cleanup. The water reservoir is easily lifted up without any sort of latching mechanism, and the reservoir door swings up from the top so you can refill the reservoir with ease. I found this to be very easy to work with. You just want to take care to hold the reservoir at the base rather than near the reservoir door so that you don’t accidentally lose grip and spill water everywhere. The pressure level knob on the flossing system has a very gentle clicking feedback when you turn it in order to indicate changes to the pressure level. The Power and Mode buttons, however, are a bit annoying to press because the system doesn’t quite weigh enough to prevent it from sliding across the counter while you press the buttons. So more often, I find myself using my thumb to press the buttons while wrapping my fingers around the flosser for support. This is such a nit-pick thing, but something at least worth noting for Philips to improve upon—whether it means using capacitive buttons or adding more friction at the base so the whole thing doesn’t slide across your sink countertop. The toothbrush certainly weighs more than the flosser, but was comfortable in the hand, the buttons were easy to press, and it was easy to attach/detach brush heads. And I certainly like that it can be charged by simply dropping it on the Power Flosser’s dedicated charging station as well as the basic travel charger. FLOSSER: Starting with the Power Flosser, you have 4 different flossing modes—clean, deep clean, sensitive and massage. Clean mode pushes water out in rapid succession like a machine gun, while Deep Clean mode starts gentler and ramps up to a peak then abruptly starts over from gentle and ramps up again. This makes it sort of confusing as to why the more brutal Clean mode is not called “Deep Clean”. If I had to guess, Philips might have found that people were more attracted to the name “Deep Clean”, but didn’t want to associate their most brutal mode with the one that people would likely use the most, as this could yield negative results if people found it to be too painful. Whatever the reasoning is, between those two I think the “Deep Clean” mode is probably more comfortable mode at higher pressure levels, while the normal “Clean” mode may yield discomfort at high pressure levels. Your mileage may vary based on the condition of your teeth and gums. Sensitive is much more like Deep Clean, but it actually oscillates by starting gently then ramping up to its peak, then ramping back down to gentle pressure, and repeats that cycle. Massage mode is more like the Clean mode, but switches between a high pressure blast and a lower pressure blast but in a consistent, rapid succession. Realistically, I think you’ll find one or two you like and generally stick with them. Overall, I think these modes are really just a matter of preference towards comfort. Additionally, there are 3 nozzles included which can spray in multiple directions. I’m honestly not sure how necessary this is, as the standard single-direction nozzle can provide the highest pressure for a deeper clean. As long as you are decently thorough, I think that is probably all that is necessary. Compared to conventional flossing, I do think this does a good job at being convenient and accessible. I recently visited my dentist who told me I should floss more. So I started flossing more with traditional floss and floss picks, but found it somewhat difficult in terms of reach. Not only that, but it was also a more time-consuming activity, which I think detracts a lot of people from flossing on a daily basis. Interestingly, studies have shown that most people don’t have great flossing techniques. Experts believe that a good flossing technique should be more effective than a waterpik solution, but on average, those who use a waterpik end up removing 17% more plaque than those who only use traditional floss. So while experts might not recommend a waterpik solution to be a pure substitute for traditional flossing, it does appear to be more effective on average because it’s easier to do. And in my pragmatic opinion, having a convenient way of flossing daily is better than not flossing at all. Overall, I did find the Power Flosser to be quite effectXephyroth

Philips Sonicare Power Flosser and Toothbrush System is an absolute deal and a complete system for you to keep your teeth and gums happy and healthy. I have had a week with the new 7000 series products and being an already end user of Sonicare products, I wanted to see the improvements Philips has made since 2018 when I purchased my last products. The Toothbrush is great as I expected matching and honestly beating the 2018 version when it comes to the feel on my teeth. I feel that Philips changed the intensity of the vibration to a true 3 level system for low, medium and high. The picture I included shows the original on the left and new on the right. My original is hard to notice much difference between low, medium and high. The updated brush besides looking better, had a much more prominent difference between the 3 power levels. Also, the 2022 version uses the same replacement head structure, which is great, because now my wife can have the old one an stock leaving my brush heads on the sink to fall on the floor. The Power Flosser has a charging base for the toothbrush but due to my bathroom design, we do not have the counter space to keep the power flosser on top. Luckily, Philips includes another individual base to keep that brush charged daily and I must say, hats off to them for including that extra charging base, helps for traveling too. The flosser is great, the white tipped cleaner is my favorite already, making sure my molars are clean of heavy foods before brushing and rinsing. The white tip on level 6 power gets pulled pork loose and I have yet to go over that power level. The clear tip also forces out heavy foods just as well as the other two, just no guard or tip protection like the other 2 included tips. The purple tip seems to work best for me on for the backside of my front teeth. With the Power Flosser, here comes the main reason for the 4 stars and not the 5 it almost deserved. The base is great with the power connector under the unit and a cord routing channel as well. It is great but not perfect, meaning, here are the 2 reasons for the 4 stars. First, the wound up water carrying tube is horribly stiff, making me pull over the base 3 times in a week spilling water all over my feet. The tube does not flex or pull out easy and this is because they need it to stay its shape for storage as they picture. This makes the reach very hard for tall people like myself, in turn, makes me have to bend over to the point I cannot look in the mirror to see what I am doing. Secondly, the water container falls off so easy making it very frustrating when putting away or if you move wrong and it all of a sudden is no longer giving you water. Philips could easily fix this with a little latch or magnets. Being a house that is old. our sinks are small, so I have to store this in the closet and every night for the past week, the top has fallen off when setting on the closet shelf, it is truly a frustrating design of the Power Flosser. The Power Flosser does make up for most of the hassle with its function and power, but, these 2 things keep it from a 5 star all day long in my house. So, to finish out, here is some Pros and Cons to the Philips Sonicare 7000 series products. Pros: Power to clean out hard foods Brush works perfectly as every other Sonicare and better to be honest Same heads as all other Sonicare brushes Integrated brush charging base Included Separate charging base Great looks and easy to clean Cons: Water Tube stiff making it difficult for tall people Water container falls off way too easily So, if you have a nice place to store or a sink large enough to keep this on top all the time, this is a perfect fit and you will love the Philips 7000 Series Sonicare products. Moreover, the other model was only a flosser, not a two action (brush & floss) in one brush head deal. • At the lowest point on the dial, the WATERPIK affords a very low and gentle water flow so the user can turn up the volume for higher impact flossing to ‘tolerance’ after getting comfortable with handling the tool. • As well, the WATERPIK brush function has a high and low setting. • Due to the range of adjustments, integrating the brush with the floss function was an unexpectedly easy transition. • I have a countertop water filter that delivers ionized water: acid, alkaline and purified. Using the negatively ionized water in the WATERPIK unit gives me a deeper cleaning than purified water only. • But any mouth wash or similar dental hygiene product can be used as the flossing liquid. • When I found my teeth were sensitive to the flossing impact of chilly water, I now warm up my water just a tad before starting a brush and floss session. • I use the WATERPIK as a complement to daily electronic brushing and flossing with essential oils such as peppermint, spearmint, wintergreen (when dowsed positive). • Bottomline, I liked the extreme fresh mouth results so much that, next day, I used the ½ OFF Coupon Code to purchase a second, larger brush head at the WATERPIK online store. • The multi-tasking brush and floss solution helps all who are 'dental hygiene resistant' to up their plaque elimination game, especially great for those who find flossing near impossible. The Sonic Fusion 2.0 is a great electric toothbrush and waterpik combo. Inside the box, you get the main unit, the toothbrush, and a nice hard carrying case. The main unit has the water tank and a detachable Water hose that connects to the toothbrush to turn it into a waterpik. The side of the unit has a dial that is labeled 1-10, this the the intensity of the water pressure that comes out of the waterpik. The water hose doesn't have to be attached in order to use the electric toothbrush, meaning you have the choice to use just the toothbrush, or you can use both the waterpik and the toothbrush at the same time. The toothbrush has 2 different speed settings, normal and high. I found that the normal setting works just fine for me and is able to clean my teeth very well. When I combine the toothbrush with the waterpik I get an even better cleaning. The rechargeable battery lasts a good amount of time without having to charge. This comes in handy, especially if you decide to take the toothbrush on trips and don't bring the charging base with you. Overall, I think this Sonic Fusion 2.0 is solid electric toothbrush/waterpik combo. The toothbrush does a fantastic job at cleaning my teeth and the waterpik manages to get in between every little crack and crevice. I bought this product for the same reason I assume most people have which is because having a toothbrush that flosses at the same time sounds amazing. Who doesn't love products that can do more then one task at a time and in turn save us precious time?! I have used the waterpik flosser for many years and still think it's an amazing product. This one however just doesn't work. First thing I noticed is how small it is , it's very compact which I guess for some is good but I was expecting a full size water tank. It does look nice on the counter, well designed in terms of appearance. First time I used it I went for the floss and brush right off the bat and the first problem was apparent within like 10 15 seconds. When you use floss at the same time as brushing your toothpaste is gone almost immediately because of all the water. I kept having to stop and put more on so that was annoying. The second issue is with the brush heads themselves, not only are the very small ( compact size ) but they are extremely soft. It did nothing for my teeth at all and they didn't feel clean whatsoever so I immediately had to brush again after using my oral b. There almost like baby toothbrushes they are so soft. Why they wouldn't include a full size brush head with the product is beyond me but I can only assume they will be just as soft even if they are bigger. I tried using the toothbrush by itself today and had the same feeling, it did nothing in terms of brushing my teeth and I had to once again brush right after with my oral b. It blows my mind how they let this come to market with such a poor toothbrush that doesn't provide any benefit or give you a healthy brushing routine. The full size brush heads are also apparently very hard to find in Canada as I couldn't find any store that had them in stock and I don't trust anything off Amazon to be authentic so wouldn't go down that route. The Sonic Fusion 2.0 is a great electric toothbrush and waterpik combo. Inside the box, you get the main unit, the toothbrush, and a nice hard carrying case. The main unit has the water tank and a detachable Water hose that connects to the toothbrush to turn it into a waterpik. The side of the unit has a dial that is labeled 1-10, this the the intensity of the water pressure that comes out of the waterpik. The water hose doesn't have to be attached in order to use the electric toothbrush, meaning you have the choice to use just the toothbrush, or you can use both the waterpik and the toothbrush at the same time. The toothbrush has 2 different speed settings, normal and high. I found that the normal setting works just fine for me and is able to clean my teeth very well. When I combine the toothbrush with the waterpik I get an even better cleaning. The rechargeable battery lasts a good amount of time without having to charge. This comes in handy, especially if you decide to take the toothbrush on trips and don't bring the charging base with you. Overall, I think this Sonic Fusion 2.0 is solid electric toothbrush/waterpik combo. The toothbrush does a fantastic job at cleaning my teeth and the waterpik manages to get in between every little crack and crevice. I bought this product for the same reason I assume most people have which is because having a toothbrush that flosses at the same time sounds amazing. Who doesn't love products that can do more then one task at a time and in turn save us precious time?! I have used the waterpik flosser for many years and still think it's an amazing product. This one however just doesn't work. First thing I noticed is how small it is , it's very compact which I guess for some is good but I was expecting a full size water tank. It does look nice on the counter, well designed in terms of appearance. First time I used it I went for the floss and brush right off the bat and the first problem was apparent within like 10 15 seconds. When you use floss at the same time as brushing your toothpaste is gone almost immediately because of all the water. I kept having to stop and put more on so that was annoying. The second issue is with the brush heads themselves, not only are the very small ( compact size ) but they are extremely soft. It did nothing for my teeth at all and they didn't feel clean whatsoever so I immediately had to brush again after using my oral b. There almost like baby toothbrushes they are so soft. Why they wouldn't include a full size brush head with the product is beyond me but I can only assume they will be just as soft even if they are bigger. I tried using the toothbrush by itself today and had the same feeling, it did nothing in terms of brushing my teeth and I had to once again brush right after with my oral b. It blows my mind how they let this come to market with such a poor toothbrush that doesn't provide any benefit or give you a healthy brushing routine. The full size brush heads are also apparently very hard to find in Canada as I couldn't find any store that had them in stock and I don't trust anything off Amazon to be authentic so wouldn't go down that route. I have been using my Sonic Fusion for about a year now. I bought it at the Kennewick Wa BB&B. The way I use it is this: First I brush and floss like normal. Then I fill the Sonic Fusion reservoir with warm water and a few table spoons of mouth wash. I load the tooth brush with tooth paste and push the brush only button. I brush with the electric tooth bush for about a minute before I push the water floss button and brush and floss simultaneously. Of course this washes away the tooth paste but the mouth wash also has a cleaning effect when you brush and floss simultaneously. I just went to the dentist two days ago after using the Sonic fusion for the past year. My Hygienist said my mouth was so clean and healthy she had no work to do in there. Then she gave me the Cleanest Mouth Award. I highly recommend this product especially if you have problem teeth and gums. My mouth has never been so clean and my Hygienist would attest to that. I sincerely hope this review will help someone to better oral heath and better health overall.Thomas

On the strong urging of my dental hygienist I bought this unit. 4 months later the stain on my teeth was really not any different than it had been, so the benefit of the brushing cycle is quite doubtful over doing a half-decent job with a toothbrush. However, the pressurized water-flossing was easy to use and seemed to remove all particles of food matter from between the teeth. But this critique is anecdotal. Maybe it will do a better job for folks who have other dental brushing-based issues. Now, the worse part: The unit failed to charge after only 4 months. Somebody had told me to unplug the unit when not in use but there is no instruction to that effect. This also makes no sense give the charging is inductive, and any reasonable design would assume the unit remains plugged in at all times. Perhaps this failure of the battery or its charging circuit is an anomaly, but it should never happen. Hence the rating of 4, which really should probably be a 2 except I would continue using both the brushing and irrigation (flossing) features were the unit still functional. I returned it for a replacement (3-year warranty) and I await its arrival as I write this. Notwithstanding what I've noted, still I would recommend this over other models or brands because of its features. It really does a good job, especially useful for those who have become sloppy in brushing. Part of that is because there is a timer that pauses the brush cycle 3 times so you know when to move on to the next layer of teeth (posterior and anterior of upper and lower). For that alone it can be invaluable, quite apart from the effective flossing feature. Final note: The replacement brushes are not cheap!JimN3JT

As this is the first electric toothbrush I've tried, I've been using it daily for nearly two weeks now to give me a chance to acclimate to the differences between it and manual toothbrushes before posting my review. Unfortunately, I'm still not comfortable with the intense vibration that the oscillating head generates, even when on its slowest 'sensitive gums' setting. Because of the discomfort associated with this vibration, I might not be pressing the head strongly enough into my teeth and gums to get into the deep crevices that my manual toothbrush can reach, as it seems to often miss food particles there. Instances where the smooth plastic at the rear of the brush head comes into contact with my teeth are far more disturbing than normal contact with the bristles, and I manage to do this with every session of brushing. The fast speed of the oscillating head makes it very easy to accidentally spray saliva and toothpaste around the bathroom, which I still manage to do despite starting with the head placed against my teeth as instructed, and additionally turning the toothbrush off when switching between mouth quadrants. Despite the problems I have with this toothbrush, it does well at cleaning most areas of my teeth, and cleans the rear-facing surfaces of my teeth just as easily as other surfaces, where-as the rear surfaces have always been problematic for me with manual toothbrushes. I find the built-in 30 second quadrant and two minute session notifications to be very convenient, as I was not nearly as diligent and consistent with timing while using manual toothbrushes. It's nice to have different brushing modes available, but I wish these were more finely tunable using the associated app, especially regarding oscillation speed. The toothbrush is able to independently store information about quite a few brushing sessions, which it can then sync with the app at a later time, a very nice feature for those wanting to keep track of their brushing habits. I did not personally find the app's features to be of much use or interest, so it's not something I'd use regularly. As for unit design, the brush handle is not particularly ergonomic, but not at all cumbersome to use. The battery charging indicator light turns off when charging is complete; personally I'd prefer a solidly lit battery icon to indicate this status, but would have liked this to be configurable within the app. The tray that accommodates four brush heads–while a nice feature of the charging station–takes up a significant amount of valuable sink space; I would have preferred for this to have been a separate or detachable accessory. The contact-less charging design is a convenient feature, allowing for quick and worry-free docking, without having to worry about wiping the toothbrush and station dry beforehand. This toothbrush is well designed, easy to use, and includes many great features. This toothbrush is great. Best improvement over previous versions is much longer battery life, can go an entire week brushing twice daily on one charge. The overall aethetic is also improved with a sleeker look and nice lighting pattern when powering on or off. Included travel case is also great, since the battery life is so good, there is no need to bring the charger with you for shorter trips. Bluetooth and app are nice, but after you use them once or twice, you probably won't again. I'm not sure how many people need to track the brushing habits on their phone. Once you start brushing, the brush movement pauses briefly every 30 seconds prompting you to move to a different quadrant of your mouth, and pauses for a longer time after 2 minutes to tell you you are done. Another improvement in this model is the different brushing modes, I only use the tongue massage for a few seconds at the end of my 2 minute normal brush. Brush heads are not too expensive to replace compared to similar models out there, so overall this is about as good an electric toothbrush as you can get.JoeBlow25

Got this Oral B toothbrush for my granddaughter. It has a ton of features that help her stay on track for keeping her teeth cleaned properly. The assortment of brushes available for different cleaning purposes is impressive, but ridiculously overpriced. It’s a toothbrush head! I have a similar model of Oral B and really don’t see any great difference between the different brushes. They all clean well. A great feature is the timer and the pulse intervals, which remind you when to change locations in your mouth. Also, the red light feature when you brush too hard is nice, considering most dentists say to stop injuring your gums. Holds a charge for approximately 5-6 days , one person, brushing twice a day. If you have room, you can just leave it plugged in all the time and not worry. Brush heads seem to last on average a month or two, again depending on how often you use it. Hers came with a travel pouch and a nice holder for multiple brush heads, all of which can have different color I’d rings so you know who’s whose. It has given her no trouble so far. This toothbrush is surprisingly lightweight, comfortable to hold and I am in love with the lavender color. It's also so easy to assemble, charge and operate. I like thr choice of different speeds, especially the deep clean setting. I did find the brush head to be a little on the small side and thought the brush seems a bit loud while in use. I was also surprised to find that this brush had no moving or spinning parts, it only vibrates. It does have a corresponding app which I found really interesting. It's easy to install and I had no problems connecting the brush to the app via my phone. This app keeps track of how well you brush and would definitley help to ensure you get the deepest clean possible. You can also use the app to earn points to put towards rewards like new brush heads. I was so excited when I was invited by Oral B to review the Oral B Pro 3000 3D White with Bluetooth Smart Technology. First of, I would like to say that I received the package in a prompt and timely manner.I mjst admit that I have high expectations for this product for I know that Oral B is the world's leading brand in toothbrush and it's the only brand I use given I buy the manual toothbrush. I am curious to know what would be the difference in the color of my teeth and the over all feel after as compared to doing it manually. Upon receiving the box I opened it and read the manual. One of the key things to do is to charge the batteries for 22 hours and to download the Oral B app ( mine is Google play for android!) to maximize its use. It has 3 Feature Characteristics which are Daily Clean Plus, Gum Care and Sensitive. It also has Visible Pressure Sensor which is a light and a slight sound which let you know the right kind of pressure for brushing your teeth. It has a case where you can put the brush head after using them for hygienic reasons. After downloading the app, it teaches you to how to properly use the toothbrush and it automatically starts once you turn the toothbrush on, it shows how much time you have left per quadrant of your teeth. At first use, I noticed that my teeth looked whiter and the over all feel of my teeth and gums are awesome. At first, I feel like the brush head that was given -which is the 3D white seems small but as I get used to it, I learned that it makes sense to have a small brush head as compared to manual toothbrush so you can really concentrate a few seconds per tooth as advised by the app. I used the "Sensitive" mode for the first 3 days as I prefer a light vibration and as I get used to it, I used the "Daily Clean" mode for the next 4 days. I was extremely excited when BzzAgent invited me to try the Oral-B Pro 3000 SmartSeries With Bluetooth® technology Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush Powered by Braun. This is my first campaign and the excitement resulted in me sitting in front of the mailbox every day until the toothbrush arrived. I believe my mail carrier became worried about me during this time. After I tore the box open I spent a couple hours inspecting the brush, the manual and did more online research so I could really understand what I using. As a mom, I wanted to make sure that the product that I have actually works and won’t break down after a couple of uses. At first I thought the box made a very big claim, “Whiter Teeth starting from Day 1”. As an avid coffee and tea drinker, caffeine addict, I thought that was pretty bold especially when these results are expected when only using this brush along with “any kind of toothpaste”. But I was up to the challenge and anything that delivered whiter, cleaner teeth without complicated whitening procedures or ill tasting strips was already a win. The features of this toothbrush are pretty awesome. The fact that this toothbrush is rechargeable is amazing, I do not have to worry about a dead battery and fumbling with the brush just to put a new battery in. A complete charge, which takes up to twenty-two hours, have enough power for seven days of brushing. There are pressure sensors that light up when you use too much pressure while brushing, this ensures healthy gums. If you enjoy Bluetooth technology you can connect your toothbrush to your phone which allows you to view a two minute timer on your phone to guarantee you are brushing your teeth for the optimal amount of time. Last but certainly not the least, there are three cleaning modes. You can play around and decide which cleaning mode you prefer, I prefer the second cleaning mode. The handle is slim and is easy to grip and even has a nice non slip silicone type material on it so that it doesn’t get slippery when wet. This brush is also rechargeable which I like because I hate wasting money on batteries. The charging base is nice and it connects to storage compartment where you can store various cleaning heads (not included). There is also a nice charging indicator light that illuminates as the device charges. The last thing that I will mention is the price. This brush retails close to $100.00 (+/-) but varies by where you purchase it. Why would anyone need a tooth brush that expensive? For that price I want that blue tooth connectivity to play music and I want this to come with more than just one tiny cleaning head. I do believe you are merely paying for the oral B and BrAun brand name. It literally felt like we left the dentist after trying it out. I do recommend using the water feature on the lowest setting to start out because it comes out really fast and a little harsh. The extra accessories work great. I really love the lighted mirror. I could not believe how much better I can see the inside of my mouth now. The toothbrush part worked great, just make sure you charge it for 24 hours like directions state. I really liked how the directions are very clear and easy to understand. The brush heads are even color coded to avoid confusion and are stored with a cover to keep germs, etc out. I'm actually keeping the original box that it came in because it is in color and explains every piece so well. There are so many parts to it, so I don't want to miss any of the benefits. It is so compact and fits nicely on our bathroom counter. I am overall very satisfied.Pack312

I am really impressed with this dental center- I was worried that it would be literally all built-in, but it's basically the two machines (toothbrush and irrigator), and a stand that holds those & all of the accoutrements in a compact fashion. This means that you can disassemble everything and CLEAN them, which, if you have a family, you KNOW you're going to have to! The whole thing is well-thought-out- the irrigator (water flosser) has multiple attachments, and provides power on a par with a well-known name brand (rhymes with cotter flick). The toothbrush setup is clever, too, in that you don't have to have multiple handle units plugged in all the time, drawing "zombie" electricity for no good reason! The downside to this is that, since you're sharing your handle and irrigator with the whole fam, you'll likely have to clean more often, but really, shouldn't we all be doing that anyway? I used to have a lot of Black Plaque on my teeth, no matter what toothbrush I used to use nothing would take it off. My teeth were also yellowish in colour. I was very embarrassed to smile, I was not confident in my smile at all. I was also so embarrassed going to the dentist. My dentist tried to remove it but was unsuccessful. I was told by the dentist that my black plaque on my top back tooth would never be removed no matter how much I brush my teeth. So I gave up looking for the best toothbrush to remove my plaque. But one day I heard about the oral B pro 3 electric toothbrush and decided to buy it and give it a chance. After using it for a few days I was mind blown when I saw the result of my teeth. I noticed some of the plaque had come off. And after a week my plaque was completed remove and my teeth were much more whiter than they were before using the electric toothbrush. I would not choose or consider any other toothbrush as this toothbrush was absolutely amazing. The toothbrush's main selling point is the pressure monitor. A major flaw with this is that the sensor is not sensitive at all. The red light is only activated if one was to push down the toothbrush with full force, something which nobody would ever do when brushing their teeth. In addition, even with a sensitive brush attached, the brush exerts significant force onto the teeth and gums. It is a paradox that this brush aims to improve gum and teeth health, all while doing the opposite. Either buy the cheapest oral b electric toothbrush or a manual toothbrush, do not spend your money on this.John

I mean as far as toothbrushes go, it's pretty good, but with that said it could be better. In terms of functionality, the toothbrush does a good job of cleaning your teeth – much better than any manual toothbrush would. So I wouldn't hesitate recommending this toothbrush to anyone – I used to have an Oral-B 2000 from 5 years ago, and I can tell this one is even better than that already was. Battery is good as well, takes about 2 weeks to drain as compared to my 2000 which was 10 days when it was brand new (started lasting 1-2 days after 5 years which is why I replaced it). One gripe with the battery though, is that it will suddenly drop in power when it's low on power, then you have to finish brushing your teeth with half power to then put it on charge. It's as if the battery alert should come on 1 brush beforehand so you don't experience this. Lastly, the case this toothbrush comes with leaves a bit to be desired… I know, it's just a case and why should I care… well if it's included with the product, then it means I've paid for it, and if I've paid for it then I should get something worthwhile. Firstly, the case clips things in too tightly, to the point that it's difficult to pull out the brush head, making it impractical to use. Additionally, no space in there for even a small tube of toothpaste – so in terms of a "travel case" it's not ideal for travelling. Lastly, the case should have a USB input on it so that I can plug in the case to charge the toothbrush. Why should I have to leave my toothbrush sitting on a stand when it's got it's own little mount inside the case? (literally the toothbrush mounts into the case as if it was charging, only it doesn't). This would make the case far more practical, and would mean things look a lot neater in the bathroom when charging the device.David

Any Oral B rechargeable toothbrush is remarkable in quality. Only drawback yo this unit I can’t see where the spot is to press to turn off this unit. Works great as all Oral b I just am not liking the black unit. Also you get a black unit but the recharging station is white. Which does not look good in my opinion. Great product. This one is a replacement for my son. I've been using Oral B for over 20 years. My dentist recommended it. I was hooked right away on how clean my teeth felt. Then I discovered the flossing brush head! Getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist is a snap because I have very little plaque. Our whole family is very satisfied with our Oral B's.Kate

I’m comparing this model to the 1000 series. This one is lighter in weight, cleans about the same. It’s entirely plastic where you hold. The 1000 is plastic and rubber by the thumb area, which I found to be better. The button on this model controls on, off, and speed. I wish it had a separate button for speed, so I’m not pressing the same button so many times to get to the speed I prefer. The 1000 has one button which is just on and off. There is no speed option. I chose this model because it’s said that the battery lasts longer over time than the 1000.whatever

Having sensitive teeth, using the Philips Sonicare Power Flosser has been a suprisingly comfortable experience. Out of the box, the flosser is very easy to set up. It has a easily removable water tank, 3 water pik tips, a nice plastic travel case to hold all 3 tips in, the main base, and a power cord. It also comes with nice instructional paperwork that describes all the settings and how to use. While setting up, it should be noted that while this will most likely be going in the bathroom at the sink, using the product may end up making a bit of a mess due to the high rate of water being pumped into your mouth while using the flosser pik, so you may want to move it away from any electrical devices, and make sure it is plugged into a gfi protected outlet to protect you from electrical shock. Not because of the flosser itself, but the amount of uncontrolled water being used around electrical components or outlets. It is a safe product. That being said. Setup is easy, and the water pic comes with a magnetic mount, which requires removing two small plastic tabs on the pic and the base during set up. There is some tape also that needs to be removed on the water tank before use as well. The electrical plug has a beefy brick on the wall plug side, which is kind of off putting, but most likely needed for being safe around water. The other end plugs fit into the bottom of the base and has left/right cord routing to help guide the cord out the back. When you are ready to use, the water tank lifts easily off the base and has a flap door on top. Just open and fill the tank with water. I like to use warm to hot water while using the water pik because of my teeth being a bit sensitive, but you can use whatever water temp you are comfortable with. The pik is connected to the base by a coiled plastic tube. It does stretch out quite a bit for flossing use, but does take some finessing to get it coiled back into the storage hole after you are done. On the front of the base are all of your cleaning settings. The dial controls the pressure, while selecting the mode controls the pulse style. It has 4 modes to pick from. Clean, Deep Clean, Sensitive, and Massage. You can control the pressure from level 1 to 10. Choosing the right pik head for what you are wanting to do is more of a personal choice. For flossing though, I found using the narrow pointed pik did the best job, but you can't run as high of a pressure as it will start to hurt and sting. The more open end pik heads are for the massaging and sensitivity settings. Selecting Clean mode will give you a continuous pressurized stream, while deep clean gives a long pulse wave pressure stream. The sensitive mode gives a couple short pulses and a long pulse and the massage gives fast, short pulses. The pressure cuts back if it is met with too much resistance. The pik wand has a on and off slider switch. The motor will bog down if you dont have it fully on when using, but it is easy to switch on and off to give youself time to spit the water out. The motor for the pump is not too loud which is nice. Overall, the flosser does a great job at cleaning and a very noticable difference when done. My favorite mode is just the regular clean because the stream is steady and doesnt pulse. Would highly recommend!Viabledata

This is the first power flosser that I’ve ever owned and while it takes some getting used to, but I’m starting to get the hang of it. The biggest issue I had was trying to not make a mess everywhere. If you think about it its going to be a messy process. You have a reservoir of water that it sprays on your teeth and that water has to go somewhere. I guess technically you could drink it, but it’s a lot of water fast and you’re trying to move the flosser to the right spot in your mouth, so that doesn’t work well. Essentially you just keep your mouth slightly open and let it all drain into the sink. That’s what the instructions say. But it takes some practice to get it to actually go into the sink without spraying all over your mirror or running down your arm. The flosser comes with 3 different heads. Traditional style, a sensitive style and a quad direction head. I don’t really get the traditional vs sensitive because you can change the intensity at the pump and you can just turn it down instead of using a sensitive head. Maybe my teeth and gums aren’t sensitive enough to notice the difference, but if you have really sensitive teeth this may be a plus for you. I didn’t love the quad jet because it seemed to make an even bigger mess for me, but maybe after I get to be a pro I’ll switch back and try it again. In theory its supposed to do a better job of cleaning out the gum line because of the extra streams, but I’m not sure if that works really well. I like that it can adjust the pump’s sensitivity and action so you can really customize it. It makes me feel like I can really get a good clean rather than relying on the setting that the company would consider “average”. I did notice that if I set it too high it really pumped out the water to the point that I felt like I ran out of water too fast. Not a big deal since I can just refill it, but I wonder how they came up with the reservoir size. It suggests you spend 30 seconds on each section of your mouth to have a total of 2 min (similar to an electric tooth brush). I’m still getting used to it and go too slow so I always go over 2 min and always run out of water, but I expect as you get really good at it you’ll want to make sure you’re not going too fast and get a good clean. The flosser is able to get my gum line fairly clean and I feel like it is helping to remove plaque. It did a good job getting the skin from popcorn out of my gum line and raspberry seeds out of the divot in my molar, but if you have something bigger stuck in between your teeth (like pieces of corn on the cob), it can’t seem to get them out. Things that are just resting there or building up it takes out no problem, if its wedged in there with force pressing between your teeth it still takes some floss, a toothpick or something more. Overall I do like this and it helps me feel like my teeth are cleaner than regular floss, but I’ll have to wait until my next dentist appointment to know for sure if its helping me more.dren

I’m one of those people whose teeth are pretty tight, so flossing has always been a necessity for me. Flossing is not one of those activities that you look forward to doing, but there’s really no substitute for it. That’s why I was interested in the Power Flosser 7000 by Philips. It promises to provide an easier, superior alternative to flossing that is also better for the health of your gums. Setting up the Power Flosser is easy. Just fill the tank with lukewarm water, choose a nozzle, insert it into the handle and you’re ready to go. There are 4 modes to choose from: clean, deep clean, sensitive and massage. There are also 3 nozzle choices: standard, quad stream and comfort. The standard nozzle is what you might expect: a plastic tip with a single stream of water. The other two nozzles add rubber tips to increase comfort and make it easier to position it on your teeth. The difference in the quad stream is that it splits the water stream into 4, arranged in an “X” pattern. I don’t have sensitive gums, so I didn’t find a huge difference between the nozzles, but I liked the quad stream best. The other two seem to give a little more control as far as directing the water where you want it, but I got good results using all 3 nozzles. When I first started using the Power Nozzle 7000, it was a bit awkward. I wasn’t prepared for just how much water is expelled by the nozzle. After the first time or two, I figured out how much I needed to lean over the sink and how much to use my lips to control the water flow, so as not to make a big mess. The more I used it, the better I got. The 4 different modes should allow just about anyone to get what they need. The sensitive mode is more gentle, as you would expect, but it’s still effective at removing food from between your teeth. Deep clean is the most interesting, as it includes both strong and gentle pulses of water for cleaning your teeth. The clean and massage modes also include a pacer, where the water pauses every 30 seconds to let you know it’s time to move to another section of your mouth. The deep clean and sensitive modes don’t include the pacer, but you can use the brief pause as the flow varies in intensity to move to the next tooth. The unit is well constructed, but there was one design decision that I didn’t like. The button for ejecting the nozzle is right on the back of the wand, where you naturally want to rest your thumb. I accidentally ejected the nozzle during use several times before I retrained myself not to put my thumb there. There is a slide button on the front of the want for turning the water on and off. A push button might have been easier, but the slide leaves no question as to which way you need to move it. Thoughtfully, there is an intensity dial, allowing you to dial in the level of intensity that is right for you. That’s important when you think about the massaging features of the Power Flosser. You’re massaging your gums when you use the Flosser, not just in massage mode. This is perhaps the biggest reason to use this over standard dental floss. No piece of string will provide the benefits of a massage to your gums. To see whether the Power Flosser was actually effective at removing food, I used it right after meals. To check it, I immediately flossed with regular floss to see if there was anything left behind for the floss to find, but I did not see anything left behind by the Power Flosser. The Power Flosser is miles ahead of standard dental floss, both in ease of use and the benefits to your teeth and gums. But what about those pre-loaded flossers that come in packs of 50 or 100? Just comparing flossing, it’s a bit of a toss-up. I can get good results out of my 5-cent plastic flosser, and they’re also a lot easier to use than standard floss. But no string-based approach to cleaning your teeth can provide the benefits of gentle massage on your gums. This is the part that I’m interested in over the course of time. If you’re considering the Power Flosser 7000, you’ll want to do a cost-benefit analysis to see if you think it’s worth buying a unit such as this. If you improve the overall health of your mouth, then it’s worth it, but I’m not sure I’d suggest buying it only for a cooler way to floss your teeth.BobinVA
