I have to exfoliate my skin because it's very dry (face is oily). I also have keratosis pilaris so I use chemical exfoliating lotions, but also have to use some kind of scrub so that moisture absorbs properly. But, I'm very sensitive, so anything too harsh causes irritation. I was a little leary of this at first, but it's amazing stuff. It gently buffs skin and rinses away clean. It almost "suds" up a little like a foaming wash, but just enough to allow you to evenly spread it over any area you wish to exfoliate. And, no fragrance added. And, I was worried about water getting into the jar because I keep it in the shower, and open it while showering, but does n't seem to be a problem at all. I was having issues with dry patches on my skin due to harsh winter weather and my moisturizers weren't seeming to help at all. I had been exfoliating with a scrub once weekly and that helped somewhat, but I definitely still had texture issues when I was applying makeup. I decided to buy a product with a chemical exfoliant but I didn't want to spend too much money, so I decided on this. It has helped tremendously. I use it about twice weekly because my skin is sensitive, but this combined with the skyn Iceland arctic face oil has really rescued my skin. I had been buying the UFO oil for a few years and while I liked how it felt on my skin, I didn't notice a huge difference. My mom let me try her Good Genes one time and I loved the instant plumping effect and dewy finish. I ended up splurging on my own bottle and so far it's definitely been worth it. I have ridiculously finicky skin that breaks out if the wind blows the wrong way but I haven't had any issues with this product (or any Sunday Riley products for that matter). I've been using Good Genes for a few months now and it seems to have helped even my skin tone. I'm 22 so I bought it to just generally improve the appearance of my skin, but my mom really likes using it in combination with a retinol for wrinkles. The main thing I love is that immediate improvement you can see– the day after using it, my skin is always bouncy and glowing. I use it a few times a week, and I don't need too much to cover my face and neck, so I think the bottle will probably last me a while. Either way, I think it's worth it. The reviews are true. This is amazing stuff. It helps to keep my complexion nice, free and clear of zits. But you definitely need to do a double cleanse before applying oils and serums, and layering this on top. It has a bit of a strong smell with thick consistency, and definitely stings until you get used to it. I was unsure but it took about 10 days for me to start seeing results. This is definitely something that sensitive skin folks will have to build up to, I used to use it every other day as part of my nighttime skin care routine. Now I use it every day, morning and night. When I discovered this line and this product years ago I was hooked. Good genes was exactly what the doctor ordered when it came to my skin. It was lovely and worked so well. Okay so I’ve had Acne for i’d say 5-6 years (teen years) and the main mistake i’ve done is not doing research and picking up random drug store items to treat acne. I’ve done a lot of research this time and am trying this in my new skin care routine. Im also trying the caffeine solution for under eyes (I have hollow undereyes not really bags so if anyone has tips let me know!) This is the holy grail of all the skincare products I've tried and I hope this product never gets discontinued!! If I wanted to be sponsored for one product and one product only, it would be this one 100%!! I have an acne-prone, combo skin type (right now it's fairly dry due to the weather) and this product works wonders!! I not only feel the difference in my skin, I can see the difference. My face feels tighter and was 10x smoother after the first two applications. After using this (alternating with my lactic acid serum) for about two weeks the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks have lightened/looks smaller and I am not as prone to breakouts. These are my holy grail product. I used to have acne throughout my twenties and early thirties and quite a bit of scarring. My aesthetician recommended these (ultra gentle ones first). When you first use them, with regular use, you really do visibly see improvement in the texture. You need your skin to build up to them so try ultra gentle first. I’ve been using this about 2 years and because it comes in packets, I always share with others! This is by far one my favorite products I have ever purchased. Aside from it being so convenient to travel with, I began using this for my rosacea and acne. Starting with the Gentle peel daily, I could not believe how it cleared my skin and helped to level out the texture and redness of my rosacea, really creating a smoothness I don’t ever remember having. Great cleanser, no extremely harsh chemicals. Although it is an exfoliating cleanser, it IS recommended for daily use! No salicylic acid, no hydrogen peroxide. I have used the Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser but decided to switch to one without salicylic acid. This cleanser is a clear blue gel. I have VERY sensitive skin, and this cleanser does not seem to bother my face and neck area. Personally I really like the way my skin looks and feels after using this. As a side note for others with sensitive, blemish prone skin, when I need to use something stronger for a bad breakout as a spot treatment, I will use a treatment with salicylic acid (more gentle in sensitive skin than hydrogen peroxide). The spot treatment I use is also by Clean and Clear, it is the CLEAN CLEAR® ADVANTAGE Acne Spot Treatment. There is another one with hydrogen peroxide in a white and red package, but my skin became very irritated by it.kristen.a
Home Tester Club sent me a full size Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser to try. It has improved my acne over the past week. I like the consistency of the cleanser. It's creamy and doesn't dry out my face like most acne products typically do. After washing, my face looks and feels fresh. WIthin two days, I noticed my acne improving. I was super pleased with how this cleanser worked and how it made my face feel. It's reasonably priced, easy to use and very effective. Overall, I do like the product. I've used a lot of different cleansers from drugstore to luxury. I think this does a good job of cleaning and exfoliating my face. My face feels refreshed and clean after using this. However, if you have sensitive skin I don't recommend this product for you. I have some cleansers that clean my face really well and the cleanser itself feels gentle and natural. This cleanser does feel like it contains a good amount of chemicals. I personally wouldn't use it every day because of that, I also feel like it's a harsh intense product but it does clean really well. I just love so many of the Aveeno brand products to be honest….but, Their skincare line is definitely where I spent the majority of the money i spend overall on this popular brand. One can never truly go wrong when choosing to add Aveeno to their skincare routine! And thats the truth! While i have used multiple products from their skincare line , I tend to prefer the 'Positively Radiant' line. I love the results I get when using the daily scrub and the moisturizer together in my skincare routine every day. The scrub itself is so gentle on the skin yet it effectively rejuvenates my appearance to perfection each n every time I use it. I can see the positive results when i use this cleansing scrub about 2 days out of the week as my exfoliator. I am always feeling much more confident on the days when ive exfoliated using the Positively Radiant scrub because i can literally see the brand new and bright skin on my face and neck area once i complete my morning skincare routine on these couple days out of every week that i incorporate this must-have product in said routine. Pretty much all aspects of my skincare routine change up here n there after several months of using one of the same products in any one of the multi-step routine for daily skincare. But for almost 2 years straight now, ive continued to use Aveenos Positively Radiant scrub as my exfoliator twice each week in order to get all those dulling dead skin cells off of my face thus revealing an absolutely POSITIVELY impeccable looking face when i finish my daily morning routine on these days! To my surprise, the exfoliating beads are very, very small. They almost feel like crushed rice balls (if that makes any sense) much smaller and gentler than sugar. And their smooth round edges prevent them from creating micro-tears in the skin Aveeno's scrub product is so light, my face doesn't feel tight, because it doesn't dry out my skin. It is oil-free so I don't get that oily feeling either. My face doesn't necessarily feel silky smooth because I don't think it is loaded with silicone but my face just feels like skin. As for the brightening effect, when you're face is clean it will always look bright. This is not going to single-handedly fade your dark spots but getting rid of the dead skin on the surface of your face will help your overall appearance. Just letting the beads do their job. I know you might feel the need to press into the skin as you exfoliate but it is really not necessary, it is a top no-no, because doing so can damage the skin. Because it is so gentle, I am able to use it 2-3 times a week. It has become an integral part of my weekly night routine before I actually cleanse my face. I very rarely leave 1 star as a rating, but this is a product that truly warrants it – not so much due to the bad results which I'm always willing to look past, seeing as we all react differently to different products, but because of an additional factor that I'll get to in a moment. But first…I had high hopes for the scrub after using some of the other 'Positively Radiant' products which were great, but this did nothing for me. It didn't exfoliate properly (the flaky patches on my forehead were still there after using) and it did nothing whatsoever for brightening my skin tone after 1 week of using it. Considering it has only one single brightening ingredient in it: Soy Complex (Glycine Soja), and that too being far down on the ingredients list, I'm not too surprised. I also found it overly drying and noticed new dry/sore patches that I didn't have before. What exactly caused the dry patches I'm not certain, but there are a few contenders: 'Sodium Laureth Sulfate' being the most likely culprit. Why is SLS even IN a facial skincare product in 2022? It also has parabens in it and contains a fair amount of perfume to boot. 'Good for sensitive skin' it boldly claims, though going by the above ingredients that are definitely NOT suitable for sensitive skin types, I'm at a complete loss as to how. I had the opportunity to try Burt’s Bees Gentle Facial Scrub, and I was really pleased with its performance as an exfoliant for sensitive skin. The feel of it was almost silky like. Very smooth and gentle feeling. I’m pretty sure it was the aloe that gave it the silky feel. The exfoliant was minimal or just enough to give a mild scrub. It did not irritate my skin at all like some other harsher scrubs do. This scrub is perfect for someone with sensitive skin but who would like an extremely light exfoliant. Fragrance free too, which makes it ideal for people with scent sensitivities or allergies. My skin felt glowing, radiant, and balanced after using this product.
This is non scented and only has a light natural smell. The smell isnt pleasant but also isnt offensive. Although it has beads to help scrub your skin, they are very small so they dont irritate your skin at all. You dont really feel them. My skin felt clean afterwards and didn't have a negative reaction to the ingredients. The only down side was I was hoping my skin would retain some moisture. Losing oils is to be expected though from a facial cleanser. Just follow up with their calming serum.
To start off I do indeed have sensitive skin. This face scrub is very gentle and not super abrasive. One thing I’m not a big fan of is the smell, yes, I know it’s just aloe but the scent is strong to me and later even after leaving the shower. It left my face feeling very soft and clean though which I think is worth overcoming the smell. The packaging is nice is a perfect size for in the shower or packing for traveling. If you’re a fan of soft skin and don’t mind the smell of aloe I’d say at least give it a try!jessica .s

I've been using this cream since my mid twenties and I am now in my mid fifties! Yes, you heard that correctly…..I've been using this cream for 30 years and counting! (If i recall correctly, the only change in this cream is the SPF added and having a day and night option) It is the perfect moisturizer under my foundation and more importantly on its own. It is not greasy or heavy at all. My skin is soft, smooth and radiant and I only have a couple of wrinkles around my eyes to show my age. I don't believe in the theory in having to change your moisturizer after a few years, at all!! starting off, I am not a fan of foaming cleansers. I feel like they do not clean properly and I cant get a good exfoliation out of them. this product has completely changed my opinion on foaming cleansers! first, the scent is not too overwhelming, but also keep in mind it doesn't have a flowery or pretty scent. it smells like skincare. that is something I personally look for. I dont need the extras, I need it to work. I had low expectations for the exfoliation claim, but I could not believe how well this swept away my dead skin! I use this at the end of the day and it washed away my flakey lip skin like nothing without any rigorous scrubbing. this product does leave your face dry if you dont immediately follow up with your mist and serums so be aware of that. Usually, I am very picky about my skincare routine. I have aging acne-prone skin, so it is a big deal for me to have clean and well-exfoliated skin without dryness. In general, I love cleansing foams with acids a lot, this one is not my first foam with PHA, so I was impressed at the beginning. Unfortunately, this foam is not the best product for my aging skin. As told earlier, NEOSTRATA exfoliating wash contains PHAs to help exfoliate and remove debris from pores, enhance skin texture and clarity, so it is good to use it regularly. I like the airless packaging of the product. It is really easy and nice to use. The texture of the foam is light and airy. I was surprised with a scent. It is quite harsh and well noticeable for me. I cannot say that I like it, it is to chemical for my nose and smells like a cheap soap NEOSTRATA exfoliating wash does a good cleansing job, but my skin feels dry after I use it. It is not as drying as some other foams, but it is still not gentle enough for aging skin. I would recommend following up with a moisturizer after it I believe it will be good for oily, combination and normal skin. Whoah! Truly a workhorse of a product! Fantastic for those with skin that has already seen a fair share of acids. (Me:) Might be too strong for sensitive skin or if you haven’t tried an acid formula. I like this so much because it not only exfoliates but it has some great nourishing ingredients too. And 25% of acids is a high amount of compared to other products like this so maybe test this on a small spot before you use this on your entire face. I got this during the fall sale and it has been over a week that I am using it (a few more times than the suggested usage). I have trained my skin with acid already, I usually use the Tarte Knockout and I have a hard time deciding which one is my favourite. I like the moon juice because I see the results the following morning. I had a few occasions that it burnt more than just a tingling but it’s okay. It happens. I am fine and so is my skin. I’ve been using this for 2 months now and it’s great. Yes, it burns, yes it’s sticky….it’s the only toner/exfoliated that i can say is Excellent! I worked in beauty for 10+ years and tried everything under the sun and this product works for me. I’m 50, pale sensitive skin. It’s helped with my hyperpigmentation like no other product. I’m bright, smooth, not flakey. I use this about 4x a week give or take. I started slow and used it once every 3 days at first. I took it slow. I use it all the way down to my décolleté. I (try to) wait an hour and then I apply my moisturizer & Yew Tip oil on top of it. I Use nightly, if I flake off & don’t use it for a few days I can tell, it burns (for 10-20 seconds). When I was traveling and in a higher elevation (9,000 ft vs normal 2,500 ft) & very dry it burned so I just didn’t use while traveling then. Give it a chance to do it’s job, go slow. If if burns that bad (usually subsides after 20 seconds) water blot it of or lube up with moisturizer. Give it a try!!!! 🙂amykkkk

I have very dry skin (if I don’t put something on my skin feels really tight and you can even see how dry it is) and this product is made just for it. I use it at night when I go to bed and it leaves my skin really soft. I would recommend it even if your skin is just a little bit dry or dehydrated as the texture of this is pretty light. Embryolisse anti aging cream is much thicker. The funny thing is, it says to put it on your skin and after a while remove the excess. I have struggled with oily skin since high school, and I have never found the ideal product that really tackles oil the way a lot of people – especially men – need it to. The Rare Earth collection works fine, but those products offer little nutrition for the skin, and serve just to mattify one's appearance. The Blue Herbal line is far too stripping, and most other "everyday" face washes don't do us oily people any favors either. I enjoy the packaging and the scent of this product. I wouldn't call it a bad product, but there are far better products on the market, many of which are made by Kiehl's. The texture is far too jelly-like and requires some extra rinsing to remove all of the residue. I have been using this for over 1 month, and my oiliness and pore size remains the same. I will not be purchasing this product again. I found the best solution for oily skin remains Kiehl's Oil-Free Ultra Facial Wash. Perhaps I will try the new Calendula Foaming Wash next, but if not, I will most certainly return to the Ultra Oil-Free.munkustrap178

This is my first time buying and not using a DIY or homemade one. DO NOT USE!!! I would use it once or twice a week. It worked well at getting rid of black heads for years. Recently it has been leave my skin stripped, red, tight and with a burning sensations. I don’t scrub hard and left it worse off. I would never buy this product again in a million years. I use some of the strongest oil free moisturisers you can buy for sensitive skin and my skin still feels awful after a week. I have combination skin and it completely stripped even my most oily parts stripped. This product once worked well but now I don’t know if the formula has changed but it’s not worth a single penny. Since this contains apricot seed powder, it will leave microscopic scratches on your skin which will eventually cause breakouts. My hubby used to use an apricot seed scrub and eventually he had bumps all over his face. For a long time I warned him it would cause him trouble and finally he quit using it and his face cleared up. If you want this type of exfoliant, look for one with small rounded beads that won't leave your skin damaged. Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's good or safe. The top ten skin irritants in skin care are natural! I do recommend the Go 360 Sensitive Skin cleanser. It is very gentle and so is the little scrubber if you use it gently. I needed a facial cleanser that would clean deep down in the pores and I have found a cleanser that does exactly that. L'OREAL Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub is a cleanser that I have fallen in love with. It has a gritty sand like substance in the soap that scrubs deep down inside the pores and washes away dirt and makeup. When I'm using it I pay special attention to my chin and around my nose where oil tends to build up. After using it only one time I could see a visible difference in my skin. Any oil that had built up was washed away from the exfoliating substance in this facial soap. My skin felt smooth and fresh, my pores were unclogged and dead skin washed away. I can use this facial cleanser daily but I skip a day here and there because my skin will dry out a little. It has a great citrus scent that wakes me up in the morning when I wash my face. It comes with this neat handheld rubber tool that helps clean the face, I prefer using my fingertips because I feel like I can get down in my pores better but I can see where it can be helpful.
