I absolutely LOVE this foundation. I have used this for years and it is fantastic for combination skin and especially in the summer/hot weather. It gives a great light-medium coverage (you can even get full if you want without it looking like you are wearing foundation) I love this foundation and it looks like skin and stays in place all day. You do not even need to wear setting powder over the top. I can't rave enough about this foundation and would be upset if they ever stopped making it. I have the usual dreaded T-zone and find this is great for that. It does not separate and stays in place. Also if you are wearing a light top or blouse it does not transfer. It will stay in place from 7am till 10pm. If you are after a full coverage foundation then the original Double Wear might be better for you. I love this because it has a light-medium coverage. This foundation has been my go to for years and i have used it since it first came out in the UK. I am 50 years young and it looks great. Even tho it sets down to a matte finish it still gives you a glow and does not look powdery at all. TBH there is nothing bad i can say about this. A tube of this lasts me ages. Yes it isn't cheap BUT it is definitely worth it and a little goes a long way. You will not be disappointed especially if you have combination skin. I LOVE this foundation.natasha.b
I got this in a gift set a while back and it’s kind of disappointing honestly. I usually use Ponds cold cream or Garnier Micellar water to remove my eye makeup effortlessly and unfortunately this stuff doesn’t work that great. I honestly feel like I have to work hard to get my eye makeup off with this product,especially if I’m using waterproof eye makeup then its even more work and in rubbing the heck out of my eyes. Let’s face it…Double Wear is an oldie but goldie! It’s like your favorite 80’s song comes on the radio and you know all the lyrics. It never dies! I don’t like layering this product unless you let it “dry” a bit after you apply the first coat. It looks very natural in the sun but don’t forget to apply some sunscreen under it because it doesn’t have any. I think this product helped the most with my eye skin hydration, although it is just a makeup remover. I used it for two weeks with the CeraVe Skin Renewing Eye Cream and Makeup Removing Cleanser Balm. I found myself using the eye makeup remover even when I didn't use eye makeup. My absolute favorite makeup remover! I was sick of using make-up wipes to remove my makeup every day, so I switched over to this liquid makeup remover. It works so well, and leaves practically no residue! There will be a very small amount of oily residue, but I use waterproof makeup and have to use a bit more remover than the average everyday person would. Also, paired with microfiber cloths meant for removing makeup, it's way less waste! Saving money and saving the planet! 😀 ALSO, make sure to shake the bottle vigorously before using it. Don't be like me the first time I used it without shaking the bottle and wondering why it felt like I put straight oil on my face. I should have read the instructions, oops.
Nice, simple product. I like that it has aloe and green tea! It is very gentle, it is oil-free, even though it doesn't seem this way. I didn't realize, that it has to be rinsed, not like some other liquid removers I used in the past – rinsing takes care of that slippery feeling on the face. I wear "daynight" contact lenses, and I wasn't sure if this product will cause me any problems, but it didn't. The small bottle seems to last a long time. It doesn't sting my eyes, it isn't rough on the skin like makeup wipes or anything like that, I only need two cotton pads partly soaked with this to take off a face-full of makeup. I’ve been using this eye makeup remover over 50 years. Why is it so difficult to get now? Most stores are out of stock. And the cost is close to $6.00 a bottle. It says it's oil free, yet it feels like it leaves a oily substance once I am done using. It takes awhile to get makeup off, so I tend to rub a tad harder, which irritates the skin on my eyes making them red and puffy. It also slightly burns if just a drop gets in my eyes. Yesterday I woke up with some excess mascara under my eye. I had used the night before and it had burned a bit. I'd used Differin that morning AND popped the pimple, so I think that was why, but it still hurt. And I'd followed up with a wipe that I did not like. Anyway, I often end up with a tiny bit of mascara left over in the morning, and wasn't interested in using my regular products, so I opened the mirror cabinet and found this old faithful. First, the smell of this is so PRETTY and not overwhelming! The scent of this gel is like a gentle explosion of delicate flowers being rubbed over your eyes, lol. Seriously, love the smell of this stuff. Normally I prefer no scent when it comes to the eyes and most of the time on my face but I will make the exception for this. On to how it works is another story. I am unimpressed with the totality of it's effectiveness. My suggestion; use take the day off by Clinique. It is thin, more absorbing into the product to be able to soften and remove it. This "gentle" eye remover is thick, not absorbing into the product, and very almost greasy. It didn't remove my mascara at all. I had a sample of this item before and I liked it, it removes my waterproof makeup pretty decently. I went ahead to buy a bigger size and I cannot open it. It says push down then turn, I did that, as well as other methods, and the darn cap will still not open. I am not sure if I got a defective item, unfortunately I cannot return it anymore since I left bite marks on the cap lol (yes I tried biting the cap and it failed) formula is okay, but what is the point of buying the product if cap won’t open, unusable. I purchased this two weeks ago on the recommendation of a lovely employee at Geelong Mecca. I asked for help with a product that easily removed eye makeup up- particularly waterproof mascara- without causing too much damage to my eye area from “vigorous removal” like I’ve had to with other products, as well as not too much residue left behind. Well this product has not failed me in removal- best results come from swiping product on eye area first, let it sit for 20 seconds and then swipe gently to remove. Works like a charm. No redness on eye area. It does leave an oily residue but this comes off with a swipe of water! Which I LOVE. I use a combo of reusable and disposable cotton pads and both are effective in removal. I also find that when I wake up the next morning after using this product, I don’t really have any panda eye which means it’s removing it properly, whereas other products seem to do leave some behind. There is literally nothing this stuff can’t remove, it is an apostolate dream for anyone who wears ‘long lasting’ makeup! It melts even the most budge proof foundations and liquid lipsticks as well as waterproof long wear mascaras and eye liners! Make sure you give it a good shake before use as it spectated into an oil and a clear liquid if the bottle stands still and when you shake it up it creates an emulsion which melts away all traces of makeup! The tiniest bit on a cotton pad removes all of my foundation, concealer etc then I use a separate pad with the same around to remove my eye makeup. Of all the brands out there, I still think this product removes eye and lip makeup with the most ease. You don't need to tug, rub or rewash your face either. Stubborn mascara comes of easily. I had lasik eye surgery and wore contacts for decades, and it's important to me to protect my eyes! I've read that the previous formula was less greasy–and I'm not sure why DHC would change the formula, but this product is a bit greasy. I simply swipe rose water on my eyes after using this product, and the problem is solved. I don't think you COULD get mascara off without glycerin or some oil anyway. I'm faithful to this product. I like to apply a generous about of this to disposable cotton rounds. After shaking the bottle before each use (this mixes the bi-phase formula together) I gently sweep the soaked cotton pads over my eyes to remove my eye makeup from one corner to the other, I then flip the cotton pad over and repeat the process until all traces of makeup and first are removed. There is a very mild/light sweet floral scent, it is barely noticeable for those that don’t like fragrance, I had to really smell this over and over to make out the slight scent. Let me start by saying I wear heavy amounts of eye makeup. Between mascara, eyeliners, eyeshadow, primer, and multiple brow products. I used to really struggle to remove all the product and my eyes would still be smudgey and racoon looking cause of it. I like this @albolenebeauty 👌 is like a gel, which I found weird at first, but after I used it, I found I liked it. It may not be for everyone though. I apply it with my cleaned washed fingers and that eye make up comes off so easily without looking like a clown like it melts the colors away! I do say it's a bit harder to scrub waterproof mascara but with this, it glides off so easily. It is somewhat greasy, but I feel like it helps moisturize the eye area. it has no Scent no nasty scent at all.andrea.m

The eye makeup remover is in a pump and easier to get to than the tub and it's thinner in consistency. You can remove the worst and hardest makeup like the waterproof eyeliner or mascara easily without tugging at your skin. This is oil based like a vaseline, but it feels really nice and is odorless. It removed my makeup instantly but caused a horrible burning sensation and my whole face and neck turned bright red even though I only used it on my eyes. I will add that my skin isn't sensitive – I sample products for a living so am constantly trying different stuff – and I have no allergies or history of skin reactions. I used a makeup wipe before washing my face when I got home and it burned all over again. Same when I used my usual high-end creams and serums afterwards. It's been 12-hours now and my face still burns. I have no idea what's in this stuff but I won't touch it again with a 10-foot pole!AmyToo

It gets rid of everything including eyeliner, mascara, base, even waterproof stuff. At times I use it on my lips when I use super stay lipsticks. I always shake it every time before using it. Wow, the Product Name sure says Almay alot, lol. Anyway, these are by far the best Eye Makeup Remover Pads EVER! They last me a while which is great!!! I only need to use 1 Pad for both Eyes. I press one side on my eye for 10 seconds, gently glide it over my eye to remove the eye makeup, and then I do the same thing on the other eye. They don't irritate my eyes either!! They don't dry out, so the Shelf Life is long, it states 6 Months, but I've gone longer. The BEST way to remove a Pad from the Container is with Tweezers, perfect every time. Also, you can buy this in Bulk at BJ's Wholesale if the Price is Right!!! I have Oily Lids, and these particular Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads are Oil Free, 80 CT., Ingredients include: Cucumber, Aloe and Green Tea Extract. I'm unsure if Almay is Cruelty Free, it doesn't say it anywhere on my old Container, but honestly, this is the ONLY Product other than Makeup Remover Wipes that I purchase from Almay. Give these a try, they have different ones to choose as well for Waterproof Heavier Makeup, but, I'm all about spending a little more money knowing that the Product will last you!!melissa.s
I love these so much. They’ve been my go-to eye makeup remover for years. Excellent packaging, perfect for on the go. My only complaint, is that it’s become impossible to find the old size that I used to buy. It seems like it now only exists for the oil-based remover pads.
