I have hyperpigmentation along with acne scars so I was excited and curious about using this. I don't love the strong lavender smell it has honestly but after trying it for over a week, I decided it's something I can put up with because I have noticed a improvement with my skin. I used this face cream for 2 weeks hoping it will make my face glow, but it made my face black and burn. I had leave a review for my Black sisters and brothers out there looking for a fade cream that actually works. I've tried tons of over the counter lighting creams over the years and none of them have worked. I had almost given up, but decided to take to a trip to Walmart. Walmart didn't have much of a selection for products that claim to rid dark spots, but out of what they had I chose Porcelain for its reasonable price and lack of outrageous claims on the box. WOW! I am so glad that I did. Within two days I saw noticeable results. I was super surprised that it worked on my light brown skin since the box shows a picture of a white woman and states that its best used on light skin. Most of these products aren't aimed at Black women, but this one has worked well thus far. I don't expect it to rid my dark spot completely (although I hope it does), but I'm hoping it continues to work and even out my skin tone to about 80 percent. That would be success for me. Little more background: I'm using the product for its purpose, to lighten up a dark blemish on my cheek and to lighten up a few freckles on my face. The priority is the blemish on my face that I've had since I was 15 years old due to a bad case of acne or fungus I had on my face. I scratched and scratched until it left a large dark mark and I so regretted it. Nothing helped lighten the dark stop, not even time. Fast forward 13 years and I was still feeling super self conscious about this spot on my cheek. Porcelain really seems to have lightened the spot and I've been using the product for about a week and half now. I try to only apply the product one or twice a day every other day to not irritate my skin. So far I haven't noticed any irritation. I wash my face with a mild soap, dry, moisturize lightly with lotion and then use a q-tip to gently rub in the Porcelain product only on my blemish and freckles. My mother told me about Porcelana, years ago. I looked at active ingredents in it and compared to other creams for dark spots. Porcelana had double the active ingredents and at a fraction of the cost. I bought some!! After 4 months of using meladerm every day for my melasma I can finally see the results!!! My melasma it’s almost gone! It takes time but the cream works! When I started using the cream I noticed some breakouts on my skin that almost made me wanted to stop using it but thankfully I didn’t. The breakouts eventually went away and the results start to show up. You need to be very patient, this cream doesn’t work overnight but if you keep using it, it will do the job. I also used it in the winter time so I avoided any exposure to the sun, and I think that helped too.

I am a woman of color and used this product for about two months to spot treat acne scars. At FIRST, the scars started fading but the lightening spread past the area of application, and my face became more sensitized. I lowered usage to every other day, and then once a week. I was aware that my skin would start peeling but after the peel a splotch of skin on my cheek was significantly lighter than the rest of my face (Reminder – I was only applying to skin that was darker as a result of my acne scars), and this area expanded past where I applied the product. This hypopigmented part was a rough texture that constantly peeled. There was another spot on my face that suffered this texture as well.Six months, multiple moisturizers, a visit to an esthetician, and another visit to my doctor later my skin is finally on the right track. I would up having to use products that post-procedure patients use and had to work on replenishing my moisture barrier as the product thoroughly ruined it. It would be my esthetician who informed this type of lightening presents a bigger risk to women of color.My takeaway – if you have darker skin TREAD WITH CAUTION. This product really works! I had a few acne scars and dark sun spots on my face. At first I thought I needed to do some sort of facial peel or something to lighten my skin back to its original color, but I bought this cream just to try it out. Ive been using this product for 2 weeks now. I was hoping to see results within the first week and I did! 2/5 scars have improved since I started using this product. After successfully using prescription Triluma for a stubborn sun spot years ago, I thought I’d save myself a lot of money and try Ambi with 2% hydroquinone to lighten the same sun spot on my cheek. I’ve been blobbing a dollop on to the spot twice daily and rubbing it in to my lighter freckles in other areas. I let the blob dry up slowly over an hour. To my surprise the spot is noticeably lighter after 5 weeks of consistent use. I used TCA peels that haven’t lightened as much as Ambi. This cream has AHA which helps exfoliate but I also use a nightly retinol cream, which is the third ingredient in Triluma. For 4.99 I can’t complain. One star docked due to the scent of cream not being pleasant. If you have patience, this product is great for lightening dark spots.Ksm

I am very surprised how good this cream is. Description on the package says- hydroquinone skin bleaching agent for the gradual fading of dark, brownish spots. Ingredients- vitamin E, alpha hydroxy acid, contains also a sunscreen, which is a big plus for me. You will begin to see results in 2 weeks. This works the best if you use it as a spot treatment, so apply a tip on every dark spot on the face or on your body. Bad thing is that hydroquinone may cause a temporary uptick in redness or dryness at first, especially if you have a sensitive skin. To avoid that about 15 min after application I am applying my regular moisturizer on my skin. Also before you start using this cream you might fo a test on your skin. After months of diligent internet research, I finally decided to try the Hero Cosmetics Clear Collective line. I purchased the jelly cleanser, toner, capsule toner, and lightning wand. I've never had problem skin – occasionally a tad oily but not usually one to break out severely. I purchased this product mid February and finally made the decision to return it back to Ulta. I've never had a set of products just completely mess with my skin. After a weeks worth of usage I started breaking out in a ton of "white heads" which I was told was just my skin being purged. I received a trial size in my Allure beauty box. I had never heard of this brand and probably wouldn't have ever tried it. But, I figured if Allure approved it, it must not be too bad. I really love this dark spot corrector for several reasons. A little bit goes a long way. It has a lovely fragrance. It has a really nice feel and isn’t greasy at all. Sometimes when I wear a product in addition to a moisturizer, I wind up feeling that there’s a lot of stuff on my face, but this product is not like that. I’ve been using the Tranexamic Topical Acid 5% for six weeks and have noticed significant fading of my melasma. I’ve also noticed quicker resolution of post-inflammatory erythema from break outs. I have light asian skin with stubborn dark patches after IPL. Tried acid peels, picosure laser, and tranexamic acid tablets with minimal improvement. This product has helped lighten my dark spots on my cheeks by at least 50%. Tranexamic acid blocks melanin activity. I used this every morning with a vit c serum beneath my spf 50 sunblock, and then again at night with an antioxidant (CE ferulic) serum glytone brightening complex, for 5 months. Product efficacy: No results, if anything makes my skin worst and emphasize pore size and fine lines. I use all Paula's Choice which is not too much more in price especially with sales AND not only do products work, they make your skin look beautiful throughout the day. 2. Product texture: The brand claims to be better than The Ordinary in terms of how the skin absorbs the product. If you're serious about it you need to start a regiment.people who are not serious about it and put it on every so often are the one's that usually have the negative comments .For someone who's using it for the first time I would recommend that you ease into it ,you are lightening your skin without doctor supervision. Start off with the cream first give it about 2 months or until you feel like you skin is getting immune and then move on to the cream plus oil. Even when I start off with the cream I do rougher areas like elbows/ Knuckles and then move on to softer areas like under eyes top tip (no one wants to look like a raccoon). Based on what I see within 2 weeks of using the products you rather be safe with a burnt looking elbow than a burnt looking face .For my fast and even results. I would recommend for anyone whose first starting out to get a really good exfoliant for your skin or a hand loofah. You are chemically peeling the first layer of your epidermis causing it to be darker. if not removed you will notice certain areas being darker.so by having a good exfoliant you are allowing the fresh new skin to come through a lot quicker. depending where you're living you do want to get sunblock at a high level and apply it as needed ( I prefer starting this regiment from Autumn to winter when the sun is less harsh and I don't have to walk around looking like I have oily skin from the sunblock like spf 75). you do need to get a good face wash or body wash not all soaps are the same and will cause your skin to get darker depending on the ingredients the best ones that I find to work better or ones that contain salicylic acid. lastly and more important the chemicals that are in this ingredient will weaken your skin elasticity causing stretch marks hence you do need Vitamin C.I'm not saying eat an orange I'm saying get a vitamin C oil before or after you put the product on to make sure you're getting enough elasticity in your skin. After I wash my skin I usually put vitamin C oil on and don't put on this cream for at least 4 or 5 hours given enough time to soak into my skin. Growing Up Jamaican I would see my mom uses product lik this one plus others,i always hated the fact that she had spider veins and stretch marks from overstretching her skin from beaching. she has to get surgery to get those spider veins removed. This is my own personal experience with this product I'm not saying hey follow to the T but it does help if you do have a regiment that works for you and not following extremes right away.ʹ€ì£¼í ¬

This will work with Caro cream like a pro! In two weeks. Use I whole tube in 1 container of caro white use twice a day together. I am African American dark color and it turned me two shades lighter in tiw weeks. Use twice a day mixed together. My dark spots left in three weeks at the most and my scars on my leg and arm from 45 year old burns disappeared completely! No lie! But must use with Caro white in the jar container.
