I’m not a big fan of expensive moisturizers with fragrance anymore, I prefer to stick to simple, derm grade skincare like LRP from the drugstore. I was able to get a sample of this with my purchase and I am so glad I did. I fully understand the hype now. My skin is super dry and I have a hard time finding a moisturizer that hydrates, replenishes and moisturizes my skin without breaking me out. This one just feels so nice starting from the texture, how it feels when it’s applied, when it’s dried down, everything. It smells amazing but the fragrance in it or the product itself hasn’t broke me out which is amazing. I’m not sure how to describe the consistency either but it feels very cloud like, soft, and lightweight but deeply hydrating. I’m def considering buying the full-size now, the only reason why I took 1 star off is because of the price point but it’s Glow Recipe and all their products are around this price range. If you’re willing to splurge on a good moisturizer this one is an amazing option. Also a huge bonus, it looks and feels amazing under makeup which is a plus point for me because I usually buy one for wearing underwear makeup and one for when i don’t wear makeup. This is one of the best moisturizers I have ever tried! Absolutely amazing! The whipped, bouncy gel cream texture is gorgeous and sinks right into the skin, and as is typical of Glow Recipe it gives a gorgeous, yet natural, glow to the skin. I was at first hesitant upon hearing “gel-cream”, as that is often a key word for oily skin and supremely lightweight formulas, but this is a true gel cream, not a barely there gel. It is perfect for my combination skin. It does have fragrance, so if you have a fragrance sensitivity/allergy, I would avoid, but if you are someone who is just not a big fan of fragrance in beauty products, I would totally recommend. I personally don’t like fragrance, but this one is barely there. It’s hard to describe, but I would say it smells subtly light and sweet, with the barest hint of plum, plus it fades quickly. Not as strong as that of the watermelon glow toner (although I actually love that fragrance as well). Only problem is it DOES NOT FILL UP THE PACKAGING! It’s great that Glow Recipe does refills for their products, but I honestly think it’s just a tactic to trick consumers into thinking they’re getting more product for the price, because the refill pod is significantly smaller than the glass jar. Battled between purchasing this cream or Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream during the beauty insider event in hopes that I’d find a new Holy Grail after using Dr. Jart Ceramidin for years. Because it’s getting warmer I decided to go with this because the formula is lighter – plus it’s also less expensive. The positives I found are that the formula is lightweight and not greasy at all which means it’s awesome for the summer. I have extremely sensitive skin that will break out in rash or dry patches when trying most new things, this moisturizer has not irritated my skin at all. I found that makeup applies over this moisturizer great. No pilling or patchiness. It’s also less expensive than other top rated creams. Negatives would be that I don’t find it quite as moisturizing as I would like, even on top of the Plum Plump Serum. And I don’t find that it does much for my skin texture either – it’s not bad, just not the best. i love this moisturizer for various reasons. on top of having amazing ingredients, this is one of two moisturizers that work perfectly with my combo skin– providing sufficient hydration to moisturize the dry parts but also being light enough to not turn my t-zone into an oil slick. this is also an all-year-rounder for me, being perfect for all seasons. can't really ask for much more than that. to address all the reviews that stated it burned, this product does contain lactic & citric acid which are AHAs and are meant to help exfoliate the skin for a soft & supple look, on top of helping to fade any pigmentation or scarring. if you are new to chemical exfoliants, i can imagine that you will feel this. for the aficionados, you likely won't feel a thing. side note: even though i am constantly burning the skin on my face off, i do get some strange tingling/numbing sensation within the first minute of application if i haven't used it for a while. i disregard this as it goes away and nothing bad has ever happened.kn24
I got this moisturizer because it's one of the only brands with good EWG scores. I wasn't expecting much because on the whole I don't think clean beauty delivers as good results as regular skincare, but this surpassed my expectations in every way! I have rosacea and quite sensitive, very dry skin. Despite this, I hate creamy creams so I'm always looking for a gel moisturizer that still packs a punch. I've been using this throughout the Chicago winters (harsh winds and dry heating) and my skin has stayed dewy and plump. I would never normally apply a moisturizer without cleansing my skin first, but on my laziest days I felt I could apply this just throughout the day because it's non irritating and would never break me out. My skin used to be so dry it would get tiny bumps all over as a coping mechanism / to hold onto moisture and they've completely gone since using this product. This also doesn't pill no matter what I put underneath. I've used different vitamin c serums, acids (lactic, Glycolic etc), different hydrating serums and different eye serums all together (like 5 layers) and it has never pilled! Some clean products don't hold up well over time, but travelled to Brazil with hot temperatures and dipped my fingers in here at the gym, in the airpirt and different hotels over the course of 4 months and the color, consistency, smell and efficacy is the same as when I first opened it. I really like this moisturizer but the price is getting ridiculous. $115 for ONE ounce of product. I can look back at my order history and see the price has gone up significantly over time. Also, I use another line of medical grade skin care (read as expensive) and at least I can get 2 ounce size moisturizer for less than half the price of this product. Disappointed to say the least.
This face cream really does transform your face. I received a sample of the Bioglycolic cleanser and the Transformation cream at my local Massage Envy. After one use I noticed a difference. My skin needed some TLC after being diagnosed with Leukemia (AML) and undergoing 6 months of IV Chemo and 1 year of Chemo pills. My skin has never looked better in my entire life. I have been using this moisturizer for a couple weeks now and believe it's working well for my oily skin. I apply it with wet fingers after my serums in the morning. An eye-catching pack with three products that were neatly presented inside. I loved the three step routine that was quick and easy to incorporate into my morning and evening. ive been using this for the last few day and i like it, its a 3 step skincare routine with prodcts to soothe, prep and moisturise the skin. The Thermal Spring Water is a spray can which you just spray then leave a few mins before patting dry. this leave face feeling cool and refreshed. Then use the Hydrance Intense Rehydrating Serum which comes in a pump top bottle so is easy to dispense. really lightweight cream with a pleasant odor. I say surprisingly because I’ve purchased so many beauty products that promise one thing or another and do absolutely nothing. I’m pleasantly surprised by this cream. It’s so inexpensive so I didn’t expect much. I bought this cream because I use a lot of products that have glycolic acid or retinol in it. I wanted one moisturizer that didn’t because too much of those ingredients can irritate your skin. I use this at night only. It’s too heavy for daytime use & doesn’t have any spf in it. I slather it on but if you don’t want it too heavy only use a small amount. A little goes a long way. I’ve used this product for a couple of months and I will continue. My face looks and feels soft in the morning. It smells nice and I do think it has helped soften my forehead lines. For reference, I’m in my early 30s, have adult acne, combination skin & fine lines & some wrinkles. It has not made me breakout at all which is awesome.Target customer
I started using filler creams to reduce the fine lines I am getting from aging. I have tried this and the RoC filler. I like this one way better. This one is super moist and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the night. Where as when I use the RoC filler I always feel like I have to use a moisturizer on top. Okay so it took me a bit to realize you shouldn’t be using this as the last step of moisturizing unless your skin is very oily. This is meant to provide moisture not retain and keep it in like most moisturizers. Which is fine because the effect when I use it more like a serum is amazing!! Plump and a glass skin like texture that looks hydrated without being oily! It also smells legitimately like a watermelon unlike most artificial scents. I like that it comes in a nice glass bottle and have already purchased again in various sizes after I received it as a gift the first time. I will say it is quite overpriced due to the amount you get and how much you can go through but the product itself is worth it so I took off one star. For context, I've been using this moisturizer all summer. I purchased the mini watermelon moisturizer and have used almost the entire bottle. I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin and I had tried different creams and such to bring moisture back to my skin but nothing was really working. I use 1-1.5 pumps of this moisturizer twice daily and it has made a huge difference in my skin texture. Before I had patches of dryness which affected my foundation application but not anymore. Yes it's a gel moisturizer so it's not a heavy moisturizer but it does compliment other products, NO pilling when used with other products and my skin is more glowy now! Love the smell and that its very light weight, almost like a serum. I have oily skin most of the time (sometimes combo) but last year for a short time I suddenly had dry flaky & itchy skin patches and found out I suffered from skin dermatitis. Being sensitive to a lot of ingredients, I started researching skin care products & their list of ingredients to find something more natural and safer for my skin. This hit the mark, so I ordered from Sephora to try it out. This is fantastic that it doesn't make me oilier or feeling greasy on my oily days ( a little drop, 1 to 2 pumps goes a long way). I honestly use it as a serum most of the time for my nighttime routine, as it's so lightweight, I can add a moisturizer over it without getting greasy. I really feel like it gives me a nice brighter & naturally light from within kinda glow to my skin, without feeling like my skin is too dewy/shiny (being that I usually have oily or combo skin, I don't want added shine, so this is just perfect!) and it helps soften my skin too. The first time I use the pore perfecting serum cream, I applied it immediately before going outside to tan because it contains SPF30. My face was extremely slick with grease once I got outside in the heat. Luckily I was just tanning to get colour and not seeing people or else I would have been very embarrassed with my appearance. I like that it is vegan, has SPF and is a serum/cream combination. Maybe it would be better for the winter because it is too greasy for the hot sunny summer for me, even though it has a light texture. I am surprised it is for oily/combination skin. There is a slight sunscreen smell and I think the greasiness I felt was also mostly from the sunscreen addition. I guess this would be good if you are going for the dewey look…but it definitely came out as greasy on me. I’ve used this sunscreen for a few months now. It takes a bit to absorb and makes me look a little greasy for a little while and has a bit of a white cast, but eventually evens it out. The only problem I’ve had with it is that it’s been pilling on my face which looks disgusting. However I do like the convenience of having a 3-in-1 and adding some extra moisture to my face. This is honestly a really great sunscreen for a normal day inside or with light sun exposure. It doesn't irritate my skin/eyes and it is really moisturizing. Also the price is pretty good for the amount that you get. There are only two downsides; if you have oily skin, this can get a little too shiny as the day goes on if you are in a warm environment. It says it is for combination skin, which I mostly agree with but would say it's better if you are leaning more on the dry side, also, the bottle sucks. Once you start getting to the bottom of the bottle, the pump stops picking up the cream and you have to unscrew it and get it out yourself. Cetaphil either needs to get a better pump bottle or put this in a squeeze tube. Just for reference, I use about 11 pumps on my face and neck to achieve the stated spf.MarMar

I finished one bottle and got my second one, the price is very reasonable, and it helps my skin a lot, I have dry and sensitive skin every time I use cream I use to got so much irritation now with cetaphil I am so comfortable it doesn’t irritate and my skin feel so soft and look nice, and skin doesn’t look oily and it is not greasy at all. And best part of this product has no scent at all. And this product has spf 15 which is perfect for winter time. I tried using this product in the summer and when I was on vacation recently. In the summer I noticed slight break outs from this product but nothing major. I put it away not thinking about it until my recent vacation. I used it in the morning and then reapplied with my normal sunblock (that I've used for years without issue). I instantly began to breakout in hives. I thought it was something I have touched that caused it but I tried the next day with the routine and sadly made it worse. This product does NOT react well with other sunblock products. I use cetaphil for other parts of my daily skin routine and I'm really disappointed by this. Like the other reviews, I also agree this product is horribly greasy and causes a white sheen (but it's sunblock so I could live with it). Full disclosure I was entirely prepared to hate this and give it a bad review as it wouldn’t work for me like most others didn’t but I’m so glad I was proved wrong. I’m someone who is sooo picky when it comes to moisturizers because I always hated how thick and oily they felt on my skin. While I do have combination leaning oily skin I was a bit apprehensive on its claims but I truly 100% am loving this. It is super lightweight which is something I always try to find in any moisturizer because I need for it to be lifht right AND effective. It sinks into your skin fairly quickly and doesn’t leave the skin feeling wet at all. Makes true on its fragrance free promise bc i can’t smell a thing and my skins gotten a bit more sensitive as I got older so that’s great! I’ve been wearing it as my moisturizer under my makeup and I really like how it feels. First impression when unboxing: The box and bottle are the same as the traditional packaging, simple, effective, pleasing to the eye. I opened the flip cap and took a whiff, there’s a light scent that reminds me of tanning lotion/sunscreen (kind of like that cooking bacon-esque scent). I read other reviews saying that a little goes a long way so I squeezed out a pea sized amount. The formula is super light, and is a water gel consistency (which made me nervous for the mattifying factor). I started with the back of my hand to see a comparison. A little definitely went a long way, and traveled up my entire forearm. I compared my hands and the hand with the product was significantly less shiny, and all of the cracks (it’s cold and dry where I am at the moment) were blurred. I tried it on my face and it definitely mattified my oily areas, but I wasn’t sure how hydrated I was. This can be a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave behind a film, but at the touch it felt like I didn’t have anything on and felt like I needed to reapply. When I did reapply though, it felt like I overused product so it definitely achieved its claim to fame. I'm not particularly wowed by this product, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I do think this moisturizer lives up to its claims – matte finish, good for oily/combo skin types. My skin used to run on the oily side until I really got into skincare. Now my skin is more normal, though still acne prone.I've been using this moisturizer daily, AM PM. it does the job, but I don't mind a more hydrated look, hell, even feeling more hydrated would be nice too – something I'm not really getting with this moisturizer. If you like a more matte moisturizer, then this one is for you. I took a chance on this product out of desperation to find something to help control my extremely oily t-zone. No matter what I tried, including Curology (which has worked great for my hormonal acne), my nose and forehead would be an oil slick within the hour. No primer or setting powder could tame it and foundation just melted off. After one use of this emulsion and I saw results. I use it before I moisturize and I stay oil free for hours. HOURS. I could cry with how this has helped my skin. The formula feels great, almost like a thin moisturizer, and has a light fragrance I find appealing. A little goes a long way and this bottle will likely last me several months and I use it twice a day. This was my first Innisfree purchase but I’ll definitely be trying their other products now. In the meantime, I have a routine that seriously works wonders on nixing my oil: The Inky List Niacinamide Oil Control Serum, this Innisfree Emulsion, then FAB’s Ultra Repair Oil Control Moisturizer. My skin is left baby soft and well moisturizer for the parts of my face that do tend to get dry, while keeping my slickness away well into the afternoon. My only wish for this product? Quick Summary: I’m giving this a 5 because it does work and match the skincare concern list on Sephora. For someone with very dry skin it gives a nice smoothing finish, even after reapplying sunscreen. It smells very nice, isn’t irritating for sensitive skin, and product goes a long way. I have combination oily skin. Oily in the summer and more dry in the winter. So finding a summer moisturizer that doesn’t make me even more greasy can be a challenge. I was using the Clinique moisturizing gel and wanted to make the switch to something that was cruelty free. I finally found this moisturizer almost a year ago and IM IN LOVE!! This is a great summer moisturizer or great if you live in a humid area. It leaves my skin glowy and moisturized but it literally feels like nothings on my face. I feel like it helps control oil production too. Just a warning for some people: Hyaluronic Acid works by pulling moisture in the air to make your skin appear more plump and moisturized. If you live in a dry area, keep in mind that HA will draw in moisture from you skin instead of the atmosphere instead, making your skin more dry. I was excited to use this. Nice smell, great texture. Like the packaging and the fact that the container is glass. I used it for a couple of days and I started to get a rash on my cheeks. I stopped using the product immediately but thought I was maybe just run down or it was something else. I didn’t use the product for about 2 weeks. Thought I’d try it again yesterday and today I’ve woken up with the same rash. Sadly, quite an expensive product to just have to put in the bin. For reference I wouldn’t class myself as having sensitive skin and have never had a reaction to a skincare product before and have no known allergies to ingredients.Christina

You’ve changed the formula and ruined the best cream!! The previous cream bottle version was amazing which I used, together with the same Night cream, for years and years. I used Olay Total Effects for years when I was a bit younger, and back then, niacinamide was not a well-known skincare ingredient, at least to the general public. So I didn't know why using this moisturizer made my pores look so refined, but I loved the effect, as well as the sunscreen. Then I started working for a skincare line and began using much more expensive — though not necessarily more effective — products. I no longer work for a skincare line, so it wasn't until the past couple of years that I began hearing about the benefits of niacinamide. It reduces and refines pores, improves skin texture, evens out skin-tone and helps skin stay hydrated and supple. So I started seeking it out in my skincare products. More recently, due to inflation, I decided to search for a more reasonably priced daytime facial moisturizer, and was so happy to find that my former favorite Total Effects contains niacinamide, which must be why years ago I could see how much my skin improved when I used it. I recently have started my journey into the world of skincare. I've been having a wonderful time trying out all kinds of cleansers, moisturizers, masks, etc. Today I tried out a sample of the CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion With Sunscreen that I had received complements of their website. This product was a heavier face cream, and you can definitely smell the sunscreen in it. The scent did not bother my sensitive skin though. I have combination/oily skin and this moisturizer made my skin kind of shiny, and a little bit oily. It absorbed quickly and evenly into my skin and wasn't sticky or tacky feeling in any way. It left my skin feeling very soft and smooth, and very very hydrated. I'm kind of left feeling torn on this product because while it did do a great job at hydrating my skin and making it soft, it also almost left it with a layer of oil on top of it. What it is, is a micro-fine zinc oxide sunscreen for UVA/UVB protection. This moisturizer with SPF is a hydrating facial lotion that spreads easily, is absorbed quickly, and leaves a non-greasy finish. All-day hydration with broad spectrum sun protection. 3 essential ceramides to help restore skin's natural barrier. Developed with dermatologists, this hydrating face lotion- featuring 3 essential ceramides moisturizes throughout the day and provides broad spectrum protection with SPF 30. The CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion was a product I was really curious about, so I've decided to give it a try. I know many of you here know it for a long time but it still is a new product to me. One of the main reasons why I wanted to try it (I have oily skin that is really "moody" when the weather changes) is the fact that it's oil free, and it sounds pretty good to have 2 skincare steps in one. The product itself is a white lightweight cream, fragrance free, that is super easy to apply. Neither my fingers or my face felt greasy after. It doesn't have a matte finish but I'm glad it's not sticky or sweaty looking. After a couple of minutes, I applied my primer and was really glad to notice that there was no pilling. I know plenty of people complain about the lotion coming off after but I didn't experience that. Makeup was applied successfully with no interference. I'm not sure if this is the best option for my skin type but it's not a bad one either. If you know a better moisturizing lotion with SPF for oily skin, please, let me know.ananda.a
Probably quite generous with my star rating considering my experience, but I am aware that works for one, might not work for someone else. Unfortunately, I fall into the latter group. I purchased this encouraged by the fact that CeraVe are typically a good brand for those with sensitive skin, which I have. However, after applying this in the morning regularly for a few days, I ended up with raised small pumps on my T-zone, not quite spots, but definitely some contact irritation. I can only attribute it to this product as my skin routine was consistent otherwise. Also, after a few hours of having it on my face, I would end up with irritated red eyes where the cream would seep into my eyes. This would happen even without perspiration or rubbing the eyes. I've since switched to a LaRoche SPF moisturising lotion which I can't fault at all – no bumps/ red eyes, lightweight and fast absorbing.Alex

I really wanted to like this moisturizer, especially given the price point, but was disappointed. I am swapping all beauty and wellness products to cruelty free alternatives and have been looking for a good substitute for my Cera Ve moisturizer, which is excellent for year-round use. I am in my 30s so I am focused on anti-aging and repair and am seeking a cost-effective cruelty free moisturizer than sinks in well, maintains moisture for long periods of time, and doesn’t cause breakouts. I LOVED the glowy finish on this moisturizer but noticed after a couple of days that my skin was getting really dry while using this product. I tried coupling this moisturizer with a heavier serum/face oil, but no luck. After a week of use, I had a couple of flaky, dry spots on my face and had to relinquish this to neck and hand moisturizer. If you have less dry skin, I could see this as being a great option. Cruelty free status is a bonus but the combination of cost, plastic packaging, and no “sticking power” to this moisturizer means that it won’t join my permanent line up.LittlstArch
I was surprised that this didn't get a universal 5 stars in the ratings because this is hands down my favorite moisturizer. But when I looked into it, the complaints were from women who had acne issues. This is NOT a good moisturizer for acne prone skin. However, it is AMAZING FOR DRY SKIN. I have always been complimented for my beautiful skin, but that's because I have always taken care of it. For years I used Chanel and LaMer products. At about age 45, I started using Clarins Double Serum (which I *still* swear by). After trying a sample of Tatcha's The Dewy Skin Cream, I realized that it worked just as well, but cost a fraction of what Chanel's Le Lift or La Mer's Creme de la Mer. I switched and haven't looked back. I'm nearly 60 and I still have people compliment me on my beautiful skin and who are shocked when they hear my age. I have a simple routine: removing my eye makeup with Lancome's Bi-facil, rinsing my face with water and a washcloth (and occasionally using micellar water), drying it and adding a small dollop of Clarin's Double Serum, and in winter, following with this Tatcha moisturizer. I was recommended to get the Tacha Dewy Moisturizer and Rice Wash Cleanser by a Sephora employee for my skin type (combo-oily, super oily t-zone, dry patches on my cheeks and outer corners of my eyes). I first got the $25 travel set as a trial pack, and WOW did it have more product in it than I thought it would. The two tiny containers lasted me 3 weeks. More than enough time to see how my skin would handle the new skincare routine. I wash and moisturize my face twice a day and I’ve seen a tremendous improvement to my skin. I would have bright red breakouts on my chin, all over my jaw, cheeks, in between my eyebrows, my forehead and hairline. I have had a pimple maybe once in the past few weeks now? I do have scarring and some discoloration from years of picking at my poor skin—so I will be looking for a spot treatment for any pop-up zits and dark spots, BUT! I love this stuff. A little goes a long way and it’ll last you forever. The moisturizer smells good, has a nice feeling, dries quickly and has your skin feelings so incredibly soft. I was worried since this is a “dewy” moisturizer but I’m less oily after using this moisturizer than if I used an oil-free or gel based one as I have in the past. Nourishing and moisturizing without leaving your skin feeling oily or greasy. I’m just so happy I finally found something that worked! Totally worth the money, I buy this stuff maybe once every 2 or 3 months? Yes, it will last you that long. I'm lucky in that I don't have sensitive skin, I can literally put anything on it and it will still mostly behave itself. So why did I buy a cream formulated for sensitive skin? Because of the multiple occlusives at the top of the ingredients list (primarily squalane, but also shea butter and dimethicone). Occlusives form a barrier that prevent your skin from losing moisture and they're great for layering over other moisturizers like hyaluronic acid, especially if you have dry skin and live in a dry climate like I do. I layer this La Roche-Posay moisturizer over my Lumene Nordic-C Brightening Beauty Lotion (which isn't actually a lotion, it's watery like a toner). The two together leave my skin plump, hydrated and glowy without being shiny or greasy looking. It does take a little while to completely sink into my skin (about 30 minutes) but I don't mind because as I mentioned, it doesn't look greasy while it's soaking in. My skin feels so soft and it looks great, I've even been able to stop wearing makeup because this eliminated the dullness that my dry skin had. I also used this once right after I rinsed off a pumpkin enzyme mask that was burning/stinging my skin and it instantly eliminated the burning and provided immediate relief, it was so soothing!tesee
I really loved the cream, thought I'd be buying this for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, the fancy air-less pump stopped working on the last package I purchased. Now there is probably 2/3rd of the product just stuck in the container that I can't get out. This cream is too expensive to risk it getting stuck inside the bottle. I tried tapping it on the counter like the customer service rep suggested, but that didn't help. I've switched to the less expensive moisturizer that comes in a regular squeeze bottle, and it's going okay. Just really bummed the packaging was the downfall for this product.Kelsey
I have normal/dry skin and don’t ever get breakouts. However, I had a random breakout that gradually spread to different parts of my face. I figured it was some form of fungal acne, and so I had to switch to a moisturizer that would prevent more pimples but still moisturize at the same time. This cream did the job! It has all the right ingredients and none of the ones that worsen fungal acne. It’s lightweight yet still kept me moisturized throughout the day. And after just a few weeks in combination with the Toleriane Spring Spray, my face finally cleared up completely! Would highly recommend to anyone that has trouble with acne but also tends to get dry skin.melissa.m
