I started using foundation back in 2000, when I had just started my freshman year of high school. It gives me fantastic coverage without looking heavy or cakey my skin just looks natural healthy because of its smooth and light texture. It is able to cover all my imperfections and doesn't cause me to break out just simply feels great against my skin. PLUS- it contains salicylic acid which helps with my acne makes sure not to clog my pores. I absolutely hate to cover my breakouts with makeup because I feel like I am not letting it heal and possibly making the situation worse. However, when I use this foundation, I feel a lot better knowing that the breakout is being treated instead of worsened. Neutrogena Skinclearing Liquid Makeup really doesn’t work for my skin. I bought a bottle to cover up the breakouts I was getting on my chin at the time with the hopes that it would also help treat my acne. Unfortunately, the formula was far too thin and runny to cover much of anything. Even after using several layers, you could still see the redness/breakouts through the foundation. The foundation made my skin redder and dry but didn’t help clear my skin; it just irritated my skin more. I decided to give the foundation a second chance a few months later after my skin cleared up. I had some redness on my nose that I wanted to cover and didn’t need the fuller coverage of my regular foundation, so I decided to use this foundation since it is light coverage. It covered the redness on my nose well enough, so I continued to use it. I only put it on my nose. After using the foundation for several days in a row, I noticed that I was getting a lot of blackheads on my nose. I don’t usually have a problem with blackheads, so it was unusual. I knew it was the foundation that was causing the blackheads because I hadn’t changed any other aspect of my skincare and the only place I was getting blackheads was my nose (the only place where I’d put the foundation). The blackheads cleared up after I stopped using this foundation. Unfortunately, this foundation did nothing to help my acne. It actually made my skin worse. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because the color matched my skin well and it is usually difficult for me to find drugstore foundation that matches my pale skin. I’ve attached a photo of me wearing this foundation. You can still see the redness on my chin, even though I was wearing multiple layers.
This product is great for people who do not like liquid foundation. It is very light on skin, so you can apply as little or as much as needed. I recently had a reaction from a medical issue that cause my face to be super red. The product helped a lot but I noticed it caused a purple tint. I do have a bit of rosacea due to lack of protection from sun in my younger years. Well first of all, the powder is not completely translucent, it has a peach undertone but that didn't bother me. The sifter will pour out way too much powder but I have found that adding a piece of tape and only letting open a couple of holes helps. It is a decent powder that will set your makeup, but it won't stop your makeup from creasing or showing fine lines as the company advertises. What I truly dislike is the heavy fragrance that will give you a headache and mess with the rest of your face makeup. For example, after setting my makeup with it, my face makeup will smell like the powder so the scent lingers and that is not good if you are going to use this around eyes for setting concealer or eye primer. I received the Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in Translucent Extra Coverage free from Influenster and Rimmel in exchange for my honest review . I didn't know the Coty Airspun powder was part of Rimmel, but I've been curious to try it for a while. Now that I have, I see why it's been around forever! The powder's so finely milled that it can be fluffed on, pressed on, packed on, or baked, and that simply gives different levels of matte-ness. Any application seems to set down the foundation so that it doesn't budge. It smooths a bit too, though doesn't completely erase pores. The finish is velvety satin and lasts all day, though I haven't tried it yet with extremely matte or extremely dewy foundations. The extra coverage translucent shade has a pink undertone when swatched, but disappears on my skin, so may be too pale for deeper skin tones. I got loose face powder cause I read good reviews. And I wanted an alternative for everyday look instead of my Laura Mercier translucent powder. I've used it twice so far and the scent is Too strong for my preference. But this powder is extremely refined. If u press or rub it between two fingers you would barely feel the texture which is a great thing. That makes it almost undetectable and less settling into creases and fine lines. It seems that negative reviewers are attempting to use this powder as a foundation, not as a FINISHING powder. Don't blame the product for user error. I've used this product for years, along with the Clear Complexion Concealer and it's a great combination. As described in the "How to Use" it's best gently applied after liquid foundation and concealer. It's great at setting my make-up and reducing shine for long lasting wear. If applied gradually, it doesn't cake on, become discolored, or settle in smile lines. To provide more even coverage, I prefer to use a powder brush rather than the puff that comes with the compact. It's nice to have the puff though, if you're using the compact on the go! Just remember, less is more and this is not a product that is intended to conceal.Han816

Great powder! I use the Medium Meets Deep shade for contour over my light skin. I only use hypoallergenic makeup because I have breakout prone skin and this is fabulous. No breakouts, blends very well over already set foundation, and the color is lovely. Compared to the salicylic acid powder in the white compact, this one is far superior. I was sent this powder by we are eves, I have now tried it for about 1 week and I can say that it is okay. The colour match is alright but in my opinion leans a bit too peachy/pink for my skin tone, not sure if this is true with other shades. The texture is okay but not super fine on a brush. I find that I need to pass my powder brush through 4-5 times to get enough. I personally did not like the way that it set on my makeup base, it looks okay at first but only after a few minutes it starts to look cakey. One positive is that after hours of wear it doesnt really separate but I definitely doesnt stay matte. I am pretty shiny again after 2 hours or so. I also do not like the packaging, it would be better with a hinge compact. Over would I purchase this again? I keep thinking I should switch and try something else with powder, but every time I do, I find the other product is more expensive and doesn't work as well. I have super oily skin and this powder doesn't look cakey, it just covers my pores nicely and reduces shine. It also doesn't settle in fine lines. I would recommend buying a colour over the transparent powder, I use peach glow and that has quite a yellowy undertone, I might try a different colour to better suit my medium Caucasian skin tone. My only problems with this powder are the packaging and the way the powder breaks up when you reach the ridges of the pan. I have never got all the way through one without the packaging breaking and having to use sticky tape to keep it together. I've also learnt that repressing the powder allows you to use it to the end with no problems, I guess the pans aren't pressed very hard maybe?qofb

I have been using this product for quite a few weeks and I noticed that every morning, when I apply it (I only apply a small amount) I keep having wheezing and breathing difficulties, coughing and tight chest. I peeled off the label to see the ingredients and it's made of Talcum Powder which is known to cause cervical cancer for example if you use it on your bikini line for a long period of time. Companies know of the dangers of using Talc and YET they still keep using it, they only care about their profits of course. Ladies, please keep away from Talc!!!!!!! I didn't understand the poor reviews, but then I read them and I can understand why people think this is drying, etc. I have excessively oily skin (cannot use any moisturizer, no hair conditioner, etc). This is perfect for people with very oily skin. It creates a fantastic canvas and prolongs makeup wear. I. normally need to "bake" a couple of times in the work day. With this I can actually get away with not baking – I use it in the morning after SPF and before foundation. Make up lasts all day. If I want to go out at night (12 hours later) then I still freshen it up with a little powder , but this is a game changer. Love it. I was so disappointed with this! The original P and P was great: good coverage, consistency, color and pore reduction. I could use it in place of foundation when I didn't need to get all made up. This new one is useless. It's very chalky and stark white and adds no color or coverage whatsoever to my skin as well as doing nothing for my pores. To get any coverage /use at all, I have to use a lot of it and since the new package gives me less product, this is a problem. Too Faced's bottom line benefited from selling less for more, but the consumer was cheated. Since the product didn't do what it was supposed to do, it was even more of a cheat. What a shame. I love this compact. It has a creamy texture and provides great coverage without looking cakey, or dry looking. I've noticed though, if you are extremely oily this may not be the best compact to use. I have acne, but I'm only slightly oily. After a couple hours I get a little bit more shiny on my nose than I'm use to. So I would recommend the super double powder foundation if your really oily, that works great and provides comparable coverage. For me, I don't mind the lack of oil control. How ever I am using Fair, the lightest shade, and its too dark! In the liquid foundation I use alabaster, which is the lightest. There is no matching powder. I hope more lighter shades are made soon because I love how this compact feels.srad
I have been faithful (minus a few stray product tries here and there) of clinique powder compacts for years. I've been on the mild side of combination skin for years. My skin has been my prize with not a lot of fuss needed. Then I got off the pill (to try for our first baby) and my skin went crazy. Oily skin that I had never had before! What seems like overnight, none of my current products can combat this new oily skin of mine. After a frustration purchase at the drug store, I took myself to the lovely ladies at the counter for help. After re adjusting my skin care and sending me off with new moisturizer samples, I was sent home with this new compact. I don't really have an acne problem but this makeup really helps with the oiliness, I am pleased with the finish. Here is the downside…. I'm a fair skinned, typically second to lightest shade gal, and the lightest shade in this makeup is dark and oddly rosy. This make me sad because the product is wonderful. I absolutely love this product! It is really my holy grail for foundation. I went to both Clinique counters in my mall to purchase this product only to find out that it's being discontinued. Oh my goodness, I could have cried on the spot! I have combo oily skin in spring and summer and combo dry in fall and winter. This is the only product that works well with my skin in both winter and summer. In a mad dash to find a replacement at both Clinique and others, I find myself extremely unhappy and frustrated! Nothing comes close to comparing! Bought this because of TIK TOK and heard nothing but extraordinary reviews and everyone was RIGHT! The hype is REAL you guys! I am a sucker for blurring primer or setting sprays and this powder is a game changer.. no joke. It blurs out your pores like magic, what sorcery is this… it looks like a real like face filter on your skin and honestly can take your foundation to it’s next potential. The powder sets everything perfect and no flashback what so ever. The powder is actually a true translucent color unlike some other powder that leaves a white finish on your face. I've tried a sample size of the regular translucent powder by IT Cosmetics and it worked well. I was happy to receive the full sized compact in the Translucent Tan-Rich shade in exchange for my honest review. The compact itself is matte and sleek. It has a mirror on the inside which is opposite of the packed powder. Under the powder, there is a small compartment for the beauty sponge. I find these sponges to be less than ideal and usually use a fluffy brush to apply instead. The shade is a little darker than my skintone and has a redder undertone but it looks okay on my skin. It gives it an airbrushed look and isn't cakey or heavy. It did a decent job blurring my pores and keeping my skin from getting very oily which tends to happen around my t-zone. I may use it to set my contour or bronzer. I plucked sparse hairs on my face and then used the powder to see if it would hide the redness. The redness still peaked through so I would not use it by itself unless you are okay with minor/major imperfections to show through. It would look good over a BB/CC cream or foundation and keep it in place.SRSmith08
This powder is nothing revolutionary. It's fine really & not a bad powder by any means. The way I tried it was I replaced my current powder w/this one & it didn't change anything else (Tarte pore filling primer & PoreFessional setting spray) but the IT powder didn't do anything additional in terms of pore reduction, which is what its supposed to specifically address. But it mattified the skin ok without being chalky or giving a dry appearance. The finish was actually pretty nice, but not better. I didn't like how the enclosed sponge applied powder unevenly, like too much in some spots & I had to go in with either a brush or my fingers to blend it away. This isn't better than my UD All Nighter powder but the All Nighter offers the longevity I need in a powder. It can really hang in there when other powders allow that oil breakthrough to occur hours sooner than the All Nighter. So I get the best pore reduction & makeup longevity when the PoreFessional setting spray is added to the equation – which by the way is worth trying bcz it does reduce appearance of pores. I just wanted to try this powder & again, it's okay. It's fine, & definitely deserves the 3 stars I gave. But because it didn't really lessen pores, I couldn't give it more. I couldn't ever get myself to pull the trigger on paying full price for this because I NEVER hear ANYONE talking about it – which is oftentimes meaningful. It was never a heavily talked about or loved product by the masses to begin with but I was always curious about it anyway bcz I really like the brand as a whole. So I grabbed it on Ultas 21 days of beauty at half price but I ended up returning it. I decided that even at $10, I didn't want to keep it bcz I'd rather repurchase the UD powder instead of keeping something I may never use or don't fully like. I have terribly oily skin. I hate my usual greasy look. The "glow" trend is not flattering on me like it is on some. This powder WORKS. I work in a fast paced, hot kitchen, and I've been repeatedly disappointed by products in the past claiming to control shine. I've tried products at all price points and in all forms. (Powders, "mattifying" creams, primers, masks, etc.) This product actually works, even when sweating like a pig all day at work. It's almost unsettling how well it works. Like antiperspirant for your face. But, whatever gets the job done, right? My only negative remark is that it contains parabens. As someone with endocrine problems, and with all of the conclusive research verifying the endocrine disruptive effects of parabens, I feel like health and beauty companies should actively be phasing these ingredients out of their products. I normally will not buy products containing parabens or other known endocrine disruptors. That said, I do make occasional exceptions when I find something that works this well. So, until I discover a healthier alternative with comparable effectiveness, I'll be sticking with neutrogena.TabiKat80

I just bought this after seeing the positive reviews on MUA. I've used other Physicians formula powders for my sensitive skin, and this powder is like theirs, in that it is talc-free. First try: After wearing this at work a full day (just the powder, no foundation etc..) – I noticed about 1-2 hours in – it does NOT handle my shine very well at all, if applying it with a powder brush. I think my Physician's Formula talc-free powder does a little better job – just because it gives some coverage compared to this translucent shade, if you want to just wear powder. My nose was shiny after about an hour. My forehead handled a little better. Since wearing no base foundation, I have found that this stuff really IS sheer. Second try: I tried this over foundation to see if it would work a bit better at controlling shine? NOPE, if applying with a brush again. I dusted some of this on my T-zone after applying light foundation all over my face to even out skin tone – and the powder on my nose lasted not even 20 minutes. I had shine right back. My forehead is okay – but my nose just didn't hold at ALL. Third: Am trying this again using Burt's Bees BB cream (love) and this over – and it's working well. I'm applying it with a small foundation brush, just tapping the powder on the spots that need oil control. My nose is the worst – nothing ever seems to control the oil there – but everywhere else seems really good. I do love applying this powder with a small brush – its easy to touch up and doesn't leave a mess all over (like ELF). I've also found that this isn't near as "white" over my BB cream vs. ELF's HD powder. Both are translucent, but Neutrogena's is a little better.kalena.m

Who doubts the color of the powder, then I have an average complexion, Not white and not dark. It suited me perfectly. Medium beige, no pink, I haven't been using it for long. Applied to my face after the cream, it gives the most beautiful flawless coverage without leaving fine wrinkles or leaving my dry skin flaky. I have a strong oiliness on my nose and forehead, and this also controls. It really smoothed out my enlarged pores. Five stars because I have nothing bad to say about this powder. I went into Ulta at the Vancouver Mall in Washington with like 5 minutes before close knowing I needed some shape tape primer before my early morning flight but also knowing that they're having that crazy sale where really great products are half off every day for a couple weeks. I have received this product from Topbox circle and I was so excited because I have used other setting powders in the past and nothing really compares to this one. My skin color is a dark tan (just for reference I wear an NC47 in the winter, NC50 in the summer, NARS Macao, LancĂ´me shade 500 in the summer, maybelline Fit Me matte poreless 340 cappuccino). This powder goes on sheer and sets beautifully for an airbrushed finish. I typically use it to set my primer then after applying my liquid foundation and concealer I set with this powder, then bake with a loose banana powder and once I brush the baking powder away I spritz with a setting powder. This powder works well with all the other products I use in my daily makeup routine. My makeup stays in place and my skin looks poreless, smoothe, and by the end of the day doesn't look as oily as my regular powder (Mac studio fix) on hot humid days. I can even use my regular powder stop of this for extra coverage. I don't see this powder providing any coverage for my skin color. I've been using it consistently since I purchased it this past week and my sensitive, acne prone, combo/oily skin has taken to it well. I would definitely recommend!Vickyyyyyy
I don't know what kind of sorcery pĂĽr summoned when they whipped up this powder…. yeah, it's that good! For reference, I'm 44 with dry skin and fine lines under my eyes. It's like they combined an eye cream with a powder, that's the best way I can describe this product. I use it to set my under eye and down the center of my face, were I brighten up with concealer. It's never failed me and I've done tests using it on one half of my face, with my old favorite on the other half. Huge difference! I used as a setting powder over the pressed 4 in 1 powder but this didn’t keep the make up matte or from oiling up after 3 hrs. I love the texture though. I used it alone over makeupless skin same result. I’m very oily and I’m dissatisfied that this didn’t work. I received this for free from Influenster in exchange for a honest review. Prior to receiving this for free I was not necessarily intrigued. I don’t generally buy Tatcha products due to the price tag so I was so excited to have an opportunity to review this. I love Tatcha as a brand and their water cream is amazing, but I have only used Beauty insider points to get it so price has been a hindrance for me. I know that this packaging is not as luxurious per say compared to their other products packaging, but I thought their initiative to make the packaging completely recyclable is amazing. I also like that it is light feeling for travel. I think it still looks beautiful and not cheap because of the purple/lilac color . The actual product is really nice! I use it to set my concealer under my eyes. To be honest I don’t use setting powder this fine, as I prefer to get coverage from my setting powder and I don’t think this gives coverage. It is cruelty free, talc free, it blurs pores and shields from pollution and blue light which I find to be unique and we could all use that extra protection. I have oily acne prone sensitive skin and this worked beautifully with no reactions. After applying this I did not get oily in those areas at all and I wear a mask for 8 hours a day at work. I do think it applies better over their primer that’s included with the purchase, but it also applied really well over sunscreen and eye cream. It comes with 0.7 oz of product for $48 to me that is a little expensive but I did one sweep of product and I was able to cover my T Zone which is what I focus on so it could last long for the price. I think if you’re only not purchasing this because it’s not luxurious packaging than Michelle Lee Editor in Chief of Allure said it best, “in recent years, though, the simplest, the most waste-conscious packaging- from the mailer to the tub or tube- is what warrants our attention and our accolades. Brands remember: we’d rather be wowed by a powerhouse formulation or superb color pay off than by three extra layers of embossed, disposable, luxury packaging”. Overall it’s a really nice product for what it is. If you are constantly in front of a screen and aren’t able to get protection another way or you’re looking for a very light coverage and setting powder product than I think this could be worth it. I just personally opt for cheaper setting powders that have more product in them. I think if they had priced it $30 or around there I’d say it is absolutely worth it, but for $48 for 0.7 oz when Laura Mercier has 1.0 oz for $39 or Kosas new baked setting and smoothing powder you get less product 0.33 oz but theirs is also talc free and $34. It is the blue light and pollution protection that truly makes this product stand out!

It is said to be translucent but the powder has a flesh like color so it may not be translucent on those with dark skin tones. Depends on the day but I’ll either use a brush or puff. It goes on smoothly and evenly. It’s buildable but honestly you don’t need to build with it. It blurs my pores, face appears smoother, more even, not cakey, and gives me a nice soft finish with a subtle glow. It controls my oil all day but I wouldn’t say it necessarily makes my make up last much longer than it already was and I don’t see any blurring with fine lines. I don’t want to say it tops my Laura Mercier Setting Powder just yet but it’s close! So let me preface this review by saying I haven’t tried this powder yet with a full beat, over any type of foundation. Since I bought this, I have been using this for no-makeup makeup and I am thrilled with it. I have problematic, oily skin that has issues with rosacea, large pores and texture. In my day-to-day life I don’t always wear foundation/concealer or much in terms of base products because I either find myself wanting to take the full 30-60 minutes to do a complete look, and not have the time to. I’ve also found that the myriad of tinted moisturizers, powder foundations and lighter coverage products I’ve tried still look somewhat makeup-ey and/or don’t last the day on my problematic skin. I bought this intending to use it with makeup, but because of the claims, one morning after my skincare, I decided to swirl it on my bare face to see how it behaved. This powder enhances my skin, without looking like anything at all. It doesn’t necessarily hide my skin problems, but it makes my skin look like my absolute best skin days, whether or not my skin is actually cooperating with me. It has a sheen to it that’s not sparkly or glittery that blurs and softens everything. Throughout the day, it also does a great job of making it so I’m not a complete oil slick by noon. I’ll still see some oil come through, but it’s controlled, and the powder isn’t breaking down or separating. This powder gives me a vibe like the old face powders women would use in the 1940s/1950s, but a million times better. I also enjoy the packaging – the component doesn’t feel as luxurious as other Tatcha products I have purchased but it’s not bad. However, I give that a pass because it’s easy to get the right amount of powder out of the component. It also comes with a little rubber stopper to cover where the powder comes out, so it can be traveled with or moved without the whole jar turning into a powder bomb the next time it needs to be opened. My favorite setting powder of all time! It’s literally the only powder that works for me. I have extremely oily skin and am always shiny, it’s very frustrating. But I’ve found that this product keeps the oil at bay for hours. After some time I do get a little shine near my nose (that’s a given) but a little touch up makes it all better. I love this product so much that I bought the travel sized version. However, I really wish they brought back the pressed/compact setting finishing powder. I bought this after reading all the amazing reviews and I still believe all those reviews but unfortunately for me, personally, this powder just doesn't do what I want it to. It won't blend at all and leaves my face looking cakey. Maybe it's my combination skin because it gets cakey only in my tzone area but it's super obvious. You can also clearly see white powder on my face and trust me, I am pale as a ghost. If anyone else is experiencing the same thing I experienced, you might want to try Stay Naked the Fix by Urban Decay. Yes, it's a pressed powder and no, it's not translucent but I bought the fairest shade and that one ended up doing exactly what I needed. It's a bit more expensive but worth it. I absolutely love Dermablend Professional’s Illuminating Banana loose setting powder! It has a slight yellow/tan tint that is used to brighten your complexion while locking in your make up. The powder contains pigmented pearls create a soft sheen that provide a beautiful soft sheen that never leaves your face looking ashy or flat. This powder enhances the wearability of your foundation to provide up to 16 hours of smudge resistant make up. It is dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist approved, allergy free, fragrance free and tested for sensitive skin. It comes in a sturdy container with plenty of powder and an application cushion. I typically use the transparent form of setting powder but do tend to get a bit of a tan in the warmer months. At this time of year, I always change to a darker shade of foundation, setting powder and face bronzers. I enjoy this product just as much as the original loose setting powder. I love how it gives me that summertime glow without adding actual colour to my face. It mattifies my face and helps to control excess shine and oiliness. This powder does transfer a little bit to my mask after a long period of warm and sweaty wear. I do use a lot of buildable foundation so I do feel that this is would be inevitable. I really do love this entire product line and that includes this Illuminating Banana loose setting powder. I bought this because of the positive reviews but wasn’t too sure what to expect. It’s amazing though! I got it just before going on holidays to an insane 35-40 degrees Celsius and I’ve been using it over my day cream simply, hoping for reduced shine and a bit more even skin tone. It has 100% delivered on that, and it has not only reduced the shine but helped keeping my skin rather dry and smooth even in the heat AND it has helped prevent manage my breakouts which I often get while traveling especially in extreme weather conditions. This face powder is perfect for me. I have oily / combination skin and always use a powder to cover the shine. I use a large brush to apply. It covers with a matt finish and seems to keep the shine at bay for longer than others I have used. It also leaves my skin with a dewy natural finish (not white looking as you might expect with a white powder). I would imagine if your skin was dry to normal it would be too drying. This is the only setting powder I use and to say a little goes a long way is an understatement. The color compliments my skin tone well, especially compared to a lot of other options out there, and the finish is nice and smooth too. Can be applied in different ways without throwing off the rest of your look and again, it lasts for a while. Would buy again.
In my high school years my theatre director introduced me to Ben Nye makeup. I was shook to actually see how pigmented their fx make up is. We used it for every play even the makeup remover. After we did our make up we had to help each other put this powder on our faces to keep the make up throughout our rehersals and performances. Not onky did my makeup stay on throughout all that sweating from the lights, it actually worked till i got home to wash off. I loved it. I actually did purchase the makeup remover as well. Gosh this powder is amazing. I found it at Ulta almost a year ago and I loved it. It doesn't contain talc which is absolutely amazing. I'm highly allergic and needed a good powder, I bought the light shade thinking it would work but shortly realized I got the wrong shade, I'm more of a light/medium shade which is fabulous, once I got my correct shade, I was in heaven, I use it to set my under eyes, face and concealer. I love this and it's amazing. I've tried other powders but this is so light and not irritating at all. The sifter is great so I don't spill the powder everyday, I'm really clumsy and once you remove the sifter, you get a lot of powder underneath. I'm not a huge fan of loose powders as they never work for me, even though I have oily skin. However, I was on the hunt to find a loose powder that did work for me so I can set my under eyes and t-zone, since it gets super oily throughout the day. So, when I received this product from topbox circle for free to review, I was very excited. I chose the banana shade because I mainly wanted the powder to set my under eyes. I tested this product throughout the week and found that I liked the powder more than others that I have tried. It didn't dry out my under eyes and kept them fairly oil-free, however, my eyes did end up creasing and, although it didn't make them look dry, it did make them feel tight and look dry. The shade, however, was great. The yellow wasn't too yellow and it did brighten up my under eyes. So, I would say if loose powders work for you, check this one out. The price is good, the product is good, it's just that loose powders tend to not work for me. #freeproductzahraako
I really love this setting powder. Comes in good variety of colours, provides good matte coverage without looking cakey. I apply with large powder brush for extra light finish, and use sponge under eye for more coverage/ setting concealer. Only downfall is I found it quite hard to get the actual power out the tub, which mean sometimes there was some wastage of product.lizzie.b

Im a professional make-up artist trialing powders, although it says its a setting power it is not, do not set your make-up with this. The negative reveiws are because you are not using it correctly. The powder needs to be applied where you have texture or lies it smooths them. Why it 'feels weird' it has silicon in it that blurs, same as the 'bluring primer' has silcon in it as well. You dont need alot, small fluffy brush lightly under the eyes around the nose and a larger brush to gently brush over the rest of the face. Baking this product will leave it patchy and sit in clumps on the face. This product has miniumal flash back if used correctly and lightly, unlike the nyx one. Worth the money! I have used this HD Powder in Translucent for many years and I have gone through countless amounts of them! My skin-type is sensitive, prone to breakouts, and oily (lucky me) lol. So with that information I will say this product has not caused any issues for me in all my time using it. The powder works great in all fashions – just over primer, over pressed powder, to bake under eyes, and as a finishing powder. What I use it mostly for is to brighten my under eyes and as a spot powder. It really helps keep my oils at bay but I will say it isn't forever matte. However, touch ups are super easy and literally absorbs any oils. I will always have this in my makeup bag and literally swear by it. I will say that it does have flashback and can look flat. Less is more with this product and I really love it. I apply it with a setting brush (long-lasting) or a beauty blender if I want to concentrate the product and get full coverage (not long-lasting & can look flat). All this goes to say, figure out how this product works for you and your needs. The packaging it nice too, I use the lid to lightly tap the product onto and any excess I just tap back into the container. I try to remember to clean the inside of the lid every once in awhile so there isn't germs lurking. One time I did make the mistake of taking the plastic piece out of the container so I could get more product at a time… what a mess that was! Like I said above, less is more anyways! I like it !! This is a great product to set your make up with, the powder is super smooth and feels great on the skin. Keeps me matte for long time. I use it every day when I go to work. It makes my skin and makeup look flawless with a blurring affect. This is definitely holy grail of powders. It went on easily and smooth. When I use it to set my concealer it prevents the concealer from creasing without altering the shade. I have a combination skin and my t-zone need to be set with powder to avoid shine. When I use it over a foundation, it matifies instantly without altering the foundation color. Most of the days, I just use a concealer and use this powder all over moisurized face. For this purpose I like to use the sponge over a powder brush. I take some powder on the sponge, tap of the excess and roll it on to the skin, and then follow it up with blush and lip product. That way my face stays matte and fresh for long time. It looks very natural on skin, not too dry or too shiny. Texture feels nice, didn’t dry out my skin and also didn’t make me look cakey . The price was extremely affordable and fair. I recommend it for someone love natural make-up. I will buy it again. Must try!!vy.h

Always wanted to try one of these blotting powders. First blotting powder purchased. I have blotting paper in my purse but never use it. Actually just forget about it. I generally just apply setting powder to mattify shine Tzone using my mini CT pressed setting powder. It’s small takes up no space and easy. Works good, but thought blotting powder would be a better option. During sale purchased this blotting powder. I’m good with this! Doesn’t look white. No color. Not cakey and doesn’t remove makeup. I use the sponge puff tapping on Tzone. It doesn’t take much for me. Minimal and shine is gone. Sponge works better than a brush. No issues getting powder on sponge. Works!boww

I am delighted, too, the Macys is always renewing itself and is so innovative. I recently received my new order of the Stay Beige Powder and I love the new look Macys has given it. Macys has improved on a product that was already excellent, not only is the product excellent in its substance, consistently, it is also excellent in how it looks and feels, when opening and closing it. I originally didn't get this as I thought it would be too heavy over foundation and I just wanted to control shine. I'm happy I took the advice of the consultant. It does a great job controlling shine without looking cakey. I also didn't think it would be enough to wear alone but it is! When I need lighter coverage I use this alone. It has lasted a long time too. I only wish I could find a way to stop transferring oil to the pad which creates a small clump of powder.BEMom
