I typically have dry to normal skin. This primer is very hydrating, and I love the pump on it. But I feel like it doesn't keep my foundation in place. I've tried a few different ways before reviewing. Usually my foundation stays in place all day but I feel like it kinda if causes it to swipe right off. Usually I can touch my face and my foundation doesn't come off (with powder and setting spray) but using this primer it tends to come right off with a touch especially later in the day after wearing it for a few hours. I wouldn’t be surprised if Elf was the genius formula creator behind all the big brand products too, instead of being the brand coming out with Similar affordable products that are more wallet realistic for the Everyday consumer after the other big brand releases. They totally could be doing both. Lots of cosmetic companies sell their formula privately and let others brand it with their name. NYX and NARS, for example. Anyway, made my makeup last snd apply beautifully. Soft and nice smelling. Great price and was confident in buying regardless of reviews, because ELF is consistent and reliable with the products they put out to sell. They always do the job and then there is so many that do the job so great, they save you money from spending it on the more expensive brand that may not be worth the hype or worth getting addicted to when it’s ridiculously priced for its packaging snd not the actual formula. Elf isn’t cheap, they make beauty products accessible to the everyday consumer. Elf doesn’t play it safe, they keep it simple. If they played it safe, they wouldn’t release amazing products at insanely low prices that sometimes also mirror that trendy viral product triple its price. Plus, I loved not having to come up with a 30 minute PowerPoint presentation on why it was smart for me to buy a 50 dollar primer to my boyfriend who just learned what primer was a month ago. “You paid 50 bucks for something that is invisible and doesn’t even show up on your skin?” He’s slowly learning, emphasis on slowly. When I relayed the importance of primer just like primer at his job when he used to paint houses, which painting and makeup is so similar it’s crazy, he seemed to understand and agree. It’s all about how you prep the canvas, whether house or face, for the product you put on it. If your primer is a great formula, the end result will be great too. If you want your end result product to last and look good and even and clean; don’t skip the primer and don’t skip out on a good one too. Not all expensive makeup products are worth it, price isn’t always reflective on if it’s a good formula or not. I started off as a classic putty primer gal but about 6 months ago I switched over to the salicylic formula after I noticed I was getting some breakouts. I’m not sure how much “fighting” this primer actually does but I will say that my skin doesn’t breakout as much (aside from the occasional 1 or 2 on the chin area) and I noticed that my skin doesn’t get greasy or feel oily at the end of the day like it did when I was using the “luminous” formula. I do have fairly product sensitive skin and this primer keeps my makeup on all day and doesn’t strip my skin if it’s natural moisture or react to the products I use as a part of my daily skincare routine. Also, it lasts FOREVER! I literally just bought my 2nd jar after using the previous one everyday for 6 months. Definitely worth a try in my opinion 🙂libby.b

Every monthly cycle I breakout on my face, neck, and chest. Ugh! I have spent decades battling this issue and I’m 43! So as I’m aging, I’m also needing to keep my skin more hydrated. I’ve only been using this for about a week, but have already noticed a big difference in my skin! I have normal skin, with an oily T zone, large pores, hormonal breakouts, and hyperpigmentation that leaves my skin scarred for months even if I don’t touch my breakouts. This primer has been clearing my acne (even the tiny ones on my nose), reducing my scars, goes on smooth and makes my skin feel so soft. A decent primer. I wear this without wearing foundation. I just add some bronzer and concealer from the same brand on top and I am good to go. It is not greasy. It is not dry either. Your skin feels hydrated throughout the day. It has SPF which is good for me trying to combine all skincare products in one. Worth the price!kathy.m

Purchased this product as an every day primer and I absolutely love it. I have been using it for about 3 months now and have found that it really does even out my skin tone and gives me a very natural glow. During the week, I wear it under my makeup to work and it makes it so that my skin looks healthy and glowing, even in the winter. I will say that it does start to look slightly oily by the end of the night, so beware of that if you don't have dry skin. On the weekends, I'll just put this on by itself with a touch of mascara and under eye concealer for a super light makeup look and it is just perfect for making me feel put together for errands or chores around the house without having to do a full face of makeup.Rene

I love this primer with SPF. I enjoy that one product effective protects my skin and gives me a matte look. It is very light. You can use it under makeup or alone. I have sensitive skin and this brand is excellent for melauren.d

Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer is a lightweight primer that provides all day seamless coverage while protecting and moisturizing the skin for a smooth canvas for makeup application. Key Ingredients: – Green Tea Extract provides antioxidants and moisture to the skin while protecting and working to revitalize the skin – Soluble Collagen improves skin elasticity and provides a perfect dewy glow This has a smooth velvety texture that is lightweight on the skin. It is similar to Tatcha’s Silk Canvas but slightly thicker. I like that is doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or oily. It does contain fragrance, as well as artificial coloring, which I’m not a fan of. The scent is floral like and is rather strong. It immediately smoothes and blurs my pores and skin and my foundation spreads evenly across my skin. I had no issues with piling that I usually do with some other silicone based primers. It gives my makeup a flawless finish and I noticed my makeup did last longer throughout the day. My tzone tends to get slightly oily through the day and this primer helped control the excess sebum. I would recommend for all skin types but for those with sensitive skin. Touch in Sol is one of my fave kbeauty brands, and I’ve tried their No PoreBlem Primer before and absolutely loved it, so understandably I was super excited for this opportunity to try their new release No PoreBlem Hybrid Primer. It also gave me a chance to actually see and feel how my dry skin reacted to both primers, and see the real uodate/difference. It has lighter color to it, and goes on the skin seamlessly. As you can see from my video, I put on too much, that’s why it looks a little cakey, BUT you only need a tiny amount to cover your whole face, so one bottle of this primer will last you a long time. I found this hybrid primer met my two deciding requirements when I choose a primer to use: a. I have biggest pores on my nose, and it’s essential to find and use pore blurring primers that don’t clog the pores, and this amazing primer did just that. It covered the pores, made them less noticeable and thanks to it, my foundation was on my skin, and not in it, if you know what I mean. b. It did not peel. I’ve used under my sunscreen, and I would pile on products such as foundation, setting powders, and blush, and it didn’t move an inch. An added bonus is that it contains green tea extracts, Vitamins C E which are essential for a healthy, glowy skin. I would definitely recommend this wonder primer!angie.q

I have mixed feelings. It’s a product that for me, does exactly what it says, but read on for my experience. I was graciously sent this by @go.picky @pickyrewards and @touchinsolus to test and review. This is a primer, to be used before applying foundation. I haven’t been wearing foundation much in quite a while. It says you can use this without makeup, so I was all about that, and it delivered. Blurring – as in it’ll hide all the pores you want hidden. Smoothing – oh heck yeah, what wrinkles? It really gives your skin a flawless base. I was impressed with how well it works just on its own. My skin had an almost airbrushed, filtered look. Lasting power is all day and it plays nice with concealer, and the 1 foundation I tried it with. So the claims on this one are true, and for the price point (under $20) you can’t beat it. Now let’s discuss the other side of this seemingly perfect product. If you were to use this, ONLY apply a tiny amount ONLY where you need it. This stuff is full of silicones (which isn’t surprising with how well it blurs imperfections) and for those w/ sensitive or reactive skin, it might really irritate. That is what happened to me. First day I was in love, then my skin mildly broke out, and it also was itchy. BUT having said that, it was on the one time I decided to apply this over most of my face. If I just use it around my nose, or forehead I might not experience as bad of a break out. ….But I really don’t want to break out at all! So, that’s up to the consumer to decide. I’m going to keep this to use this (very sparingly) for special occasions because it IS a fantastic primer. Just know it has some ingredients that might not work well for everyone, if you are sensitive to silicones I’d recommend trying it not on your face to test, or not using it at all.laura.b

I finally caved and purchased this primer as I have heard nothing but rave reviews about it. The internet and all its glory makes this seem like it is the secret for porcelain doll skin. Well I really tried, but it just didn’t work out for me. I picked this up at Rexall for $14CDN. Not bad price wise but I was expecting a wee bit less for Elf. The texture is very creamy. Not greasy but similar to the texture of the Elf Miracle Eyeshadow Primer. No silicone texture either. As you can see in my picture, it has a light pink hue that blends away. I find after I apply it it doesn’t really do anything. It just blends into the skin. When I apply my foundation I find it mixes with the primer and my face just looks streaky. I have applied the primer and will work on my eyes, to give the primer a chance to ‘set’. Even then, it doesn’t make a difference. When I do get my face looking adequate, it doesn’t take long and my foundation disappears. There is no lasting power for this primer. Let me start by saying the Poreless Putty Primer was by no means my first primer nor my first product with a cream, gel or putty-like consistency. However, I was skeptical of a primer I needed to "pick up" and apply with my fingers much like a potted lip balm. I love reviews and claims but I often have to try something to honestly believe the claims so I did just that and chose this version because I've always preferred primers that helped blur or diminish the appearance of the pores on my cheeks near my nose. It took a couple of uses to fully understand this primer because initial I only applied it to certain areas of my face thinking it would clog pores then I used it all over but not really; meaning the amount was probably too negligible for actually priming my face evenly and it showed. Quick DISCLAIMER: This review is for when I initially tried this primer after it debuted; before any of the specialty brushes and when the suggested tips were to use your fingers to "warm up the product and evenly distribute over your face". So…I'll sum this up faster as everyone else has reviewed this and I'm sure my results after using it correctly are probably similar to those who had positive experiences. It IS easy to use and although I mentioned not using enough of it, you do not need a lot of product for a full face cover; I was just being overly cautious (lame). There is no strong fragrance and even though I used my fingers for my first jar it never looked sloppy or messy when opened because the formulas stays firm and literally melts with the heat from your fingertips. I can't honestly say I saw a big difference in my pores from just this product but it is possible. What is true is that I've got multiple face primers including a well-known brand's "Pore….sional" that was my hands down favorite for years and lately I've found myself using the elf product over that one because of the tackier grip that allows for longer lasting wear. Unlike that brand's product this isn't one to reapply over makeup during the day if you want a blurring effect (you can do this with the other) but I have travel sizes of the other should I want to touch that up.Beliza2

So I know people LOVE this stuff, and I wanted to love it too. It's been called a dupe for a more luxury brand's primer and it's the underdog darling of the makeup community. When I first put it on, it sank into my skin well and made my makeup look pretty darn good at first. But within an hour my makeup was breaking apart and separating off my face, which has never been a problem before using this product. Now, people might say that it's the type of makeup I'm using. Maybe not every brand's makeup is compatible with every primer. But I only use ELF makeup. At the very least, you'd expect their makeup to be compatible with their own primer! I also have very dry skin naturally due to an autoimmune problem, and never have an issue with my face getting too greasy and ruining my makeup, even in hot weather. I picked this up because my usual No7 one wasn’t available. It’s a weird gel consistency which I didn’t like. It goes on ok but doesn’t really feel like it’s fully absorbed. My no7 foundation goes kind of patchy over it. I looked in the mirror after a few hours and it looked like the foundation had sort of dripped down my chin. Very strange. Maybe it was the combination of my foundation with it. I have sensitive skin and it was fine and didn’t cause a reaction. But I don’t understand in the directions it says you can use it on its own. It doesn’t do anything noticeable on its own so not sure why it says that. And it makes my foundation fall off my face so pretty useless.SophieP88

Maybeline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser packaging is cute fairly little BUT a little goes along way with this product (which is good bc it will last you along time) and the light blue aqua tube with pink Writing is what really caught my eye not to mention the price. I was so excited to try something new but I also have oily skin so that could be the main reason this didn’t go well on my skin but it felt as if I was putting Vaseline on my face. The consistency is heavy, slick and silicony. When applied, the primer feels soft but just sits ontop of the skin. I used this primer both alone and under makeup and my results were similar with both. While my skin did look smoother and my pores were blurred, the primer felt heavy and hot and within an hour, it was sliding off my face.tammy.p

I liked this primer when I started using it. I liked the texture of it on my face, it made my face feel so smooth. It did a decent job of covering my pores, however I had to knock off two stars. I have combination skin so I will usually get oily on my nose and forehead. Because of this the product would not last long. Another important thing to note is that it did not layer well with certain foundations and looked caked on under foundation. I found that it looked the best with a dewy foundation or bb cream. But if you want to use a matte foundation I would not recommend this product if you have combination skin. All in all it is affordable. You get what you pay for. Okay first off let me just say I was really skeptical about all the reviews saying they saw result after the first use…but WOW they weren't lying! This is like magic in a bottle, I'm not exaggerating at all (maybe a little). I have been using it on and off for a few weeks and what a difference it makes to my skin texture! I get this little bumps on my forehead that I assume are dead skin that got stuck and this stuff has completely got rid of them. Not to mention my overall complexion just looks a bit more even. I have sensitive skin and I'm surprised this hasn't cause any irritation, it's really quite gentle on my skin and I haven't had any issues or reactions. I did not like this primer at all. I needed to order more primer and grabbed this as a stand-in, and I had three pimples coming up by the end of the day. Additionally, my makeup was practically melting off of my face after just a few hours, which normally does not happen. Also, it made my pores look huge, and they’re not! My skin is generally pretty fine-textured but I looked like a citrus fruit in full makeup. It was not a great experience, I will never use it again— straight in the bin. I don’t know if I got an expired bottle or a wonky batch, but it would have been better if I’d just not used primer that day. Most primers never deliver on the advertised promise and usually create pilling, but not this one. It works with all of my foundations, tinted moisturizers and sunscreens, none of which are from IT Cosmetics. Makeup applies smoother without any pilling, caking, or separating, while extending the wear. I want to first start off my saying I am a total IT girl. I have been using IT cosmetics for years and have most of my friends using the line as well. This is the first IT product I have ever used that hurt my skin. I do not have super sensitive skin and have never had a reaction to a product like this one. One or some of the ingredients in this primer does not agree with me! I started using this product, and in just a few days the skin under my eyes starting burning, and peeling. I had also started using another product at the same time, so I wasn't sure what the culprit was. It got so bad after a couple of uses, I needed a prescription steroid cream to clear it up. After I was back to normal, I decided to use this primer again, almost in disbelief that it caused the painful reaction I had experienced. Within one use, my under eyes was burning and peeling again. The texture of this product is similar to that of the Smashbox clear primer but this one is a bit more gel like. It goes on clear and feels velvety like a silicone primer would. It does help with the longevity of my makeup and I felt like it helped to minimize the oils throughout the day. This is a huge plus since I have oily skin and live in Florida. I tried it with both oil and oil-free foundations and it worked well with each. My oil based did not come off or moved around, a bit of my foundation rubbed off around the nose after 8 hr wear but not too much. **One critique that I have is that the product is not very concise in regards to the pores claim. I initially thought that it would be a blurring primer since it states that it is a "Pore Refiner." After applying it to my skin I did not notice much of an improvement in the blurring of my pores. I applied foundation and still did not notice the blurring. The texture of my skin looked slightly more even but far from blurred. I looked at the description in the back and apparently, the "Pore refining" claim is more a long term skincare benefit. According to the product, it contains some kind of bark extract that helps minimize the size of pores. Pros: *Helps prolong the wear. *Helps to control oil production *Works well with both oil and oil-free foundations. *Oil-based foundation does not move or rub off. Cons: *No pore blurring/minimizing effect *Claim is a bit misleading as it makes it out to be a pore blurring primer but it is more of a skin care claim.beautyxox18

I have been on the hunt for the perfect primer for years. I tend to find majority of them are really drying for my skin, and this stops my foundation going on smoothly. This primer is great. To me the texture feels a bit like a moisturiser going on your face, and it gives my skin a nice glowy and silky feel. I find my super power double powder foundation goes on much easier when this is on, and it also holds better in the day when I use the primer. If I don't use the primer, there doesn't seem a lot of foundation left on my face when I take my make up off. I think the tube is really good value for money too. You don't need a lot of the product each time you prime, so the tube has so far lasted me five months. Not had any break outs with this product. I've had a really bad flare up of hormonal spots recently, and I'm finding this primer really gentle on them, they don't look redder or irritated by this product. I feel like I've tried dozens of different primers, and none of them lived up to the social media hype. The Clinique MUA encouraged me to try this primer, and I was really impressed! I usually use Clarins (and love it) but I wanted to try something without scent as I have very sensitive skin. I decided to try Clinique. I will be switching back to Clarins immediately. This product is too thick and does not go on smooth. It leaves chunks on my skin and takes forever to get a smooth canvas. The anti-redness does not work for me and my makeup does not go on any smoother than if I didn't use a primer. Very disappointed. I gave two stars because I do like the texture IF it were not so thick.lrose

For reference, I wear makeup on an everyday basis and I like a primer that serves a purpose; it needs to be smoothing/pore-filling, illuminating, make my makeup last longer, etc. Something. I have different primers to serve these various purposes and there's definitely some crossover in function. The Pur 4-in-1 Correcting Primer sounded like a winner but this is one of the most pointless "primers" that I've tried because it doesn't do ANYTHING to enhance my makeup experience. It doesn't smooth, isn't illuminating, definitely doesn't make my makeup last any longer, and it really isn't very hydrating. I got a sample of this in my recent Ulta order (as part of the free gift) and tried it yesterday – holy cow! Lots to say. First off I have very sensitive skin that breaks out whenever I try something new and this did not irritate my skin whatsoever. Secondly the coconut scent is amazing but not too overpowering. Thirdly it's SO smooth and my makeup applied flawlessly and lasted all day! I've only ever used gripping primers before so I wasn't sure how this would work but everything stayed in place for about 12 hours – and I work in a warehouse where I run around (literally) a lot, and yesterday I was on the move all day putting up boxes and sweating – but my makeup didn't budge! I received this product for free from Topbox and Pur in exchange for my honest opinion. My first impression upon opening the box was WOW – just look at that packaging! It truly was going to be the most beautiful thing on my makeup shelf! When I first applied it to my skin, I was instantly shocked at how much it felt like a moisturiser, rather than a primer! The formula is creamy and applies just as a moisturiser does. You even need to leave it for a while for the skin to absorb the product, and even then you are left with a dewy complexion! This was instantly very different to my usual primers that create a blurring effect with a matte finish! I was also shocked that the packaging instructs you to apply this formula over a moisturiser, as it seems this is more what the product was! (However, it also states on the website that it can be applied before bed!) It really is combining skincare and makeup! As this is advertised as a primer, I wanted to try it with makeup on top to see the finished look and unfortunately I was very disappointed! I have a trustworthy foundation that I always use, but it was not friends with this primer! The foundation would not blend properly around my chin and nose and I was left with streaks and patchy marks! I'm not really sure I understand how this product is working as a primer! With all this said, I am a huge fan of the ingredients and the positive effects these have on the skin. This primer makes my makeup look awful. It highlights pores (my foundation seems to pool in them), makes my fairly oily skin look dry and flaky and makes it really hard work to blend my foundation and concealer. I've tried a sponge, brush and my fingers, nothing helps when applying. When wearing a mask, after a couple of hours all of my makeup under the mask has rubbed off, not a smidge is left! I can't NOT recommend this product enough. For reference, I'm 26, have oily, fair skin and use Urban Decays Stay Naked foundation with this primer.Ellie

I don't generally read online reviews nor write them, but in this case I wish I had. The "new" Primed and Poreless is TERRIBLE. Really awful. It's runny and greasy. WHYYYYYY did they mess with the original? I am a long time Too Faced customer. I use their primer, foundation, eye shadow, mascara, you name it. Super happy with everything. Then I ran out of primer and placed an order for this "advanced" formula and hate it. Please please please bring back the original formual. It was brilliant! I honestly am blessed with good skin, partly due to my careful selection of skincare products and a regime I stick to faithfully. However, the one problem that constantly irritates me, and has led to a frustrating search for a solution, is my visible pores. I've been told they aren't nearly as bad as I think they are, but we'll, your friends have to say that kind of thing don't they! I know they are there, and I hate them! So, I have tried many, many cleansers, toners, masks, creams etc, and pretty much every primer I've ever come across. THIS is by far and away the best. It's one of the few products that I always keep a spare of since I can't bear the thought of running out! A major bonus is the price, it's about half the amount of my previous favourite, but performs so much better. My skin feels silky, it doesn't leave an odd coloured residue on my olive toned skin, and sits beautifully under my usual tinted moisturiser without 'balling up' like I've sometimes experienced with other primers. I picked this up because my usual No7 one wasn’t available. It’s a weird gel consistency which I didn’t like. It goes on ok but doesn’t really feel like it’s fully absorbed. My no7 foundation goes kind of patchy over it. I looked in the mirror after a few hours and it looked like the foundation had sort of dripped down my chin. Very strange. Maybe it was the combination of my foundation with it. I have sensitive skin and it was fine and didn’t cause a reaction. But I don’t understand in the directions it says you can use it on its own. It doesn’t do anything noticeable on its own so not sure why it says that. And it makes my foundation fall off my face so pretty useless.SophieP88

Maybeline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser packaging is cute fairly little BUT a little goes along way with this product (which is good bc it will last you along time) and the light blue aqua tube with pink Writing is what really caught my eye not to mention the price. I was so excited to try something new but I also have oily skin so that could be the main reason this didn’t go well on my skin but it felt as if I was putting Vaseline on my face. The consistency is heavy, slick and silicony. When applied, the primer feels soft but just sits ontop of the skin. I used this primer both alone and under makeup and my results were similar with both. While my skin did look smoother and my pores were blurred, the primer felt heavy and hot and within an hour, it was sliding off my face.tammy.p

I liked this primer when I started using it. I liked the texture of it on my face, it made my face feel so smooth. It did a decent job of covering my pores, however I had to knock off two stars. I have combination skin so I will usually get oily on my nose and forehead. Because of this the product would not last long. Another important thing to note is that it did not layer well with certain foundations and looked caked on under foundation. I found that it looked the best with a dewy foundation or bb cream. But if you want to use a matte foundation I would not recommend this product if you have combination skin. All in all it is affordable. You get what you pay for. This is a decent option but I usually choose to spend a few more bucks for a more quality primer. I hope this helped!brielle.s

As a primer, this Elf product works well. My makeup color and blush show up better. As a toner, I did not see a change in the tone of my skin. I have pink tones and really string purplish dark circles under my eyes and that did not change. I do notice if I do not use a primer, it’s hard to see my blushes, but when I used the Elf toner primer, you can see the blush and the actual foundation shade. I first used this primer after having ran out of my higher end beauty store primer and needing a quick drug store one to use. It got the job done to the point I ended up using it for a couple years thereafter. It left my skin feeling very smooth and poreless but it was a bit thick and sometimes caused pilling when used with certain moisturizers. My makeup did not go on as evenly as it does with my usual $40+ primer but for the price point I think it worked well. I’m not sure how much it evened out/toned down my redness, I never noticed any reduction in that after applying.monica.m

I have an old version of this. It's in an orange bottle but it's the same thing. I love it! it has that silicone slip that some people don't like but I don't mind it. It instantly blurs out my pores. I prefer it to the Putty Primer. Their textures are completely different, the putty feels more moisturizing but it doesn't blur my skin like this doessabba

Primer is deffientely a must have and the reason for it is to help ur foundation better lay on ur skin so basically primer is coating your skin so your foundation has something to lay on stead of soaking down into your pores causing major break outs due to not having primer. And this primer is amazing i used it every day and it lasted me longer than a month but not sure on the exact length. It is very light like invisible you dont even know its there it just makes everything better. The packaging of this product is very good and all of farmasi packaging is alwaysbeautiful! I’m a strong believer in utilizing a brand’s primer with their foundation, especially when they are formulated to work together. If you try a new foundation and your results are completely different from most users, check the primer. There are many different primers that all target different areas. If your foundation is super matte, adding an equally mattifying primer of a different brand could negatively affect the texture and overall formula of the foundation. I’m not saying you should never mix and match, it just requires some trial and error. The Soft Matte Pro Filt’R Primer however, takes the guess work out of my Fenty 400 foundation application. I instantly notice a difference in the finish if I don’t use the primer. The primer has a soft light scent, is super moisturizing and allows the foundation to effortlessly glide over my pores. I’ve always been an oily mess. Despite medications, matte primers, using other tricks like layering powder under my foundation…I always end up looking smeared. I tried this primer and the instant retouch in trial size. This mattifying primer kept the oil at bay even when faced with the Caribbean (and NYC) sun and heat! Now, of course, I may have a glow throughout the day and I still use blotting papers – but instead of 10, I may use 1-2. The primer isn’t sticky nor does it cake or ball up. This primer really helps absorb the excess oil in my T-zone. I think it does a good job of making sure I don't get too shiny, which has caused my makeup to smear, crease, and get cakey in the past (all in my T-zone of course). I have huge pores on my nose and cheeks, and this primer helps blur them. I like the light, smooth texture and the smell, too. You also don't even need to use a whole lot of it for it to be effective (especially if you also use the Pro Filt'r foundation like me). This is definitely one of the best mattifying primers I've ever used. I like it better than Smashbox's oil control primer. Not only is this one less expensive, it works better! I like this concealer. This is a full coverage concealer and It does cover dark circles completley, very little goes very long way. It's a littke thicker formula but easy to blend. It's a little drier formula than I am use to so I don't powder it because I have dry skin but it's a great concealer it lasts longer than others and it goes linger before it starts to crease. It does not oxidize which is wonderful. Unlike other concealers can it does not get cakey It's also doesn't transfer as bad as some others. No fragrance which is great. I noticed if I put just a tiny bit to much it definitely will crease but it does last all day long. It's not to drying I just have dry skin bit I did easily fix the issue with a great under eye cream.. This concealer does brighten my under eyes and it's smoothing I love how smoothing this is. I can use this concealer as my f oundation also as long as I moisturize rely well and I have some texture and it is smooth over my te ture it also brightens my face and full covers any redness or te ture or anything it smooths. It doesn't crease and stays all day long, it doesn't get patchy oily or dry. Not cakey and it is surprisingly ve r y comftorable on my face even though it is a full coverage formula it doesn't feel like a thick heavy full cover formula it feels comfy on my skin and no breakouts! I don't powder because of my dry skin if I powder it's just a dusting of compact translucent powder. I 100% reccomend this concealer to anyone especially someone with oily skin but if you have dry or combination just hydrate the dry areas. This concealer is worth the money.stefany.s

The Good: I've been using this concealer since it first dropped and got it's initial hype and this is one of the only products in recent history that has truly and wholeheartedly deserved it's fan rage. I will continue buying this and always compare concealers to this holy grail product, most of them do not measure up. The matte version of this concealer is a nice creamy-liquid formula that is quite hydrating when it first meets the skin, however once blended out and dried it showcases it's mattifying effects. The regular (matte) version of shape tape is truly a MATTE concealer and is perfect for oily, acne-prone skin. I especially enjoy this concealer in the summer when my combo skin leans oily and find that it's lasting powers always outweigh whatever foundation I'm wearing (especially on a particularly hot day), therefore in the summer I've used this as a foundation as well. When I really need something to stay put on my face, this is truly my go-to most reached for all around concealer. The shade rage is stunning (I own it in 3 shades) and no matter how pale or tan my skin is throughout the yearly changes I always can find my exact match. This is also a truly high coverage concealer, this covers any redness or dark spots flawlessly. I absolutely love this stuff and will continue to re-buy. The Bad: I tend to not use this in my under eye area unless I really need the intense pigment payoff from this because it's quite mattifying which can accentuate any kind of fine lines or wrinkles. The Ugly/Honest: The price of this has been continuously rising and it was already a pricey product. I run through this in the summer time and it comes with a hefty price. The applicator is super large for a concealer which makes it hard to control the amount of product used in one area and is overall unnecessarily large. I'm 47 and just learned about how to contour my face. I've had a lot of problems finding a product that works with my paler skin tone and also doesn't crease or highlight wrinkles. I've tried the famous 6-powder pallet by Anastasia and another one by NYX, and a cream pallet by MAC. Even though they're all the lighter versions, they're all still way too dark for my skin, and too orangey, and the powder ones are completely awful for fine lines. The dark contour colors make me look like a zombie. Someone told me to just try concealer in a light shade a couple of shades lighter than my skin tone and a medium shade of the same – in neutral undertones. I am fair skinned but not THAT fair (I have brown hair); usually wear a light sand foundation. So I picked Light Neutral for highlight and Medium-Tan Neutral for contour. Could not be more perfect. First I moisturize my skin and then I "patch apply" (with a sponge) a thin layer of foundation just where I need it. THEN I do the contour and blend with a thick brush. This way they blend easily and don't crease. I don't put ANYTHING on the outer edges of my eye because absolutely everything highlights wrinkles there but other than that I have not noticed any settling or creasing at all. The colors are natural and look like a more sculpted version of my own face. Love love love it!!!Mom47

I was skeptical because it seems that most products don't always do what they claim, however…. this did exactly what it claims. I have problems with enlarged pores on my nose and no amount of foundation, primer, concealer will cover them. This however made them COMPLETELY INVISIBLE!!! I was in shock. I also noticed that I receive a huge amount of compliments when I have it on. I get asked what am I doing to look so young. It feels great! I love this product. I wasn't too sure if I was going to like this primer. I thought that it would either be too mattifying, or not mattifying enough. This worked well to smooth out and somewhat blur pores. I mainly have combo skin, so mostly applied this in the T-zone. It lasted through most of the day, and it didn't get too greasy or oily either. I did touch up once during the day l, and that was it. I like that you get a little added SPF protection in the primer too. Long lasting, and it had a nice scent too. Great for oily or combo skin, I definitely recommend!tina m.b

GREAT for dry skin. Never ordered this product on my own due to the inclusion of sunscreen, which my skin hates. Received as a free gift, so gave it a whirl. Face still hates the sunscreen, but it likes everything else about this product. Only takes a pea-sized amount to create a smooth, soft canvas for makeup application. Hydrating without turning greasy or shiny. Unfortunately, sunscreen of all types irritates my face, and gives it a blotchy appearance. I just got this yesterday and couldn't wait to try it out today. I have VERY oily skin so I have to use a lot of blotting tissues and touch up with loose powder during the day, all day long. I was excited to see a new primer with spf in it! I've been wearing the PC spf 50 hydrating fluid under my makeup (I put it on and let it be soaking in my face/neck while I dry my hair, then put makeup on). In the hot, humid Alabama summertime I've always wished for a more matte start to my makeup. This is very light weight and watery (yay!) and my powder makeup goes on great over it. Also it's CLEAR so even on no-makeup days it can be worn and not look like you're wearing sunscreen (and I haven't noticed a sunscreen smell to it either). Having such oily skin and being extremely fair skinned, I've always had problems with the oil turning my makeup darker thru out the day. My face has some pink undertones from sun damage in my teens (I just turned 51, although most think I'm about 30, and we didn't have the good sunscreen choices then, everything caused breakouts that was available) but my neck and everything from there down is white white, so I have to use color corrector under my makeup to tone down the redness so that there's less of a line along my jawline/neck where my makeup ends (and no I'm not going to wear makeup down my neck – yuck). I really want to try the spf powder sunscreen but it looks too dark for me (I need translucent). To the powers that be, can you please make more light/white/translucent makeup and powders for us pale faced girls? In my case whatever color I put on (my face) turns darker, and most makeups turn orange or brown (not a good look with very white skin), it looks like dirt. I really like this primer, wish it was at least spf of 50 like the hydrating fluid, but 30 spf is still good. I'm so glad I discovered Paula's Choice a couple of years ago. I tried this long ago. Not impressed, at all, I stuck it away in the reject make-up mausoleum drawer. Took it out after reading all these glowing reviews. Tried it again. Not impressed, again. Recently saw the hoopla and read more reviews. Tried it again, incredulous that I missed the "wonderfulness " everyone else seemed to find. Still yucky; feels heavy and leaves a stickiness that is very unpleasant, and persists at the end of the day. I fail to see any benefit to using this. I'll stick with Paula's Skin Restoring Moisturizer SPF 50, which works like a charm for me! I have traditionally oily/combo skin, now somewhat aged. Also sensitive, as using the wrong products, such as retinol or moisturizers can cause break outs. For sunscreen as well as a moisturizer I prefer the Skin Restoring Moisturizer which I mix with my foundation. Back into the make – up mausoleum goes the primer!Just Me
