Before i started using this i never had a problem with acne or having consistent pimples. I bought this, used it, and I'll admit, my skin felt so clean after each, use but over time the super intense grit of the exfoliant TORE up my skin. It was like i was getting open wounds from it because it was so gritty and sharp. After months of wondering why i started breaking out so bad i realized that this was just cutting up my face and the bacteria getting trapped in my skin turned into horrible cystic acne. I've tried a few different scrubs and exfoliators but this one is by far my favourite. I'm not overly big on the scent but it isn't anything that bothers me, especially when results are amazing. The scrub to cream ratio is amazing, you don't feel like you're trying to collect the grit to move to other places of your face. It says gentle, and while I wouldn't say it's harsh it can feel a bit intense so don't rub it hard on your face. You can see the effects immediately! Instantly brighter, clear, glowing skin that remains smooth and soft. If you have dry skin it can beat but drying so be sure to follow up after washing with a hydrating moisturiser. Great cleanser, no extremely harsh chemicals. Although it is an exfoliating cleanser, it IS recommended for daily use! No salicylic acid, no hydrogen peroxide. I have used the Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser but decided to switch to one without salicylic acid. This cleanser is a clear blue gel. I have VERY sensitive skin, and this cleanser does not seem to bother my face and neck area. Personally I really like the way my skin looks and feels after using this. As a side note for others with sensitive, blemish prone skin, when I need to use something stronger for a bad breakout as a spot treatment, I will use a treatment with salicylic acid (more gentle in sensitive skin than hydrogen peroxide). The spot treatment I use is also by Clean and Clear, it is the CLEAN CLEAR® ADVANTAGE Acne Spot Treatment. There is another one with hydrogen peroxide in a white and red package, but my skin became very irritated by it.kristen.a
Home Tester Club sent me a full size Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser to try. It has improved my acne over the past week. I like the consistency of the cleanser. It's creamy and doesn't dry out my face like most acne products typically do. After washing, my face looks and feels fresh. WIthin two days, I noticed my acne improving. I was super pleased with how this cleanser worked and how it made my face feel. It's reasonably priced, easy to use and very effective. Overall, I do like the product. I've used a lot of different cleansers from drugstore to luxury. I think this does a good job of cleaning and exfoliating my face. My face feels refreshed and clean after using this. However, if you have sensitive skin I don't recommend this product for you. I have some cleansers that clean my face really well and the cleanser itself feels gentle and natural. This cleanser does feel like it contains a good amount of chemicals. I personally wouldn't use it every day because of that, I also feel like it's a harsh intense product but it does clean really well. I just love so many of the Aveeno brand products to be honest….but, Their skincare line is definitely where I spent the majority of the money i spend overall on this popular brand. One can never truly go wrong when choosing to add Aveeno to their skincare routine! And thats the truth! While i have used multiple products from their skincare line , I tend to prefer the 'Positively Radiant' line. I love the results I get when using the daily scrub and the moisturizer together in my skincare routine every day. The scrub itself is so gentle on the skin yet it effectively rejuvenates my appearance to perfection each n every time I use it. I can see the positive results when i use this cleansing scrub about 2 days out of the week as my exfoliator. I am always feeling much more confident on the days when ive exfoliated using the Positively Radiant scrub because i can literally see the brand new and bright skin on my face and neck area once i complete my morning skincare routine on these couple days out of every week that i incorporate this must-have product in said routine. Pretty much all aspects of my skincare routine change up here n there after several months of using one of the same products in any one of the multi-step routine for daily skincare. But for almost 2 years straight now, ive continued to use Aveenos Positively Radiant scrub as my exfoliator twice each week in order to get all those dulling dead skin cells off of my face thus revealing an absolutely POSITIVELY impeccable looking face when i finish my daily morning routine on these days! I very rarely leave 1 star as a rating, but this is a product that truly warrants it – not so much due to the bad results which I'm always willing to look past, seeing as we all react differently to different products, but because of an additional factor that I'll get to in a moment. But first…I had high hopes for the scrub after using some of the other 'Positively Radiant' products which were great, but this did nothing for me. It didn't exfoliate properly (the flaky patches on my forehead were still there after using) and it did nothing whatsoever for brightening my skin tone after 1 week of using it. Considering it has only one single brightening ingredient in it: Soy Complex (Glycine Soja), and that too being far down on the ingredients list, I'm not too surprised. I also found it overly drying and noticed new dry/sore patches that I didn't have before. What exactly caused the dry patches I'm not certain, but there are a few contenders: 'Sodium Laureth Sulfate' being the most likely culprit. Why is SLS even IN a facial skincare product in 2022? It also has parabens in it and contains a fair amount of perfume to boot. I tried this product and received a full rebate in exchange for my honest opinion. Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub is a gentle daily exfoliating product with a pleasant, fresh scent. It provides very light exfoliation that achieves optimal effect with daily use. The product instructions recommend using once or twice a day. The first time I tried this product, I was a bit surprised at how light the exfoliation effect was. With a word like "scrub" in the product name, I expected something with a little more exfoliation power. This is not a product one uses to notice an immediate difference in skin texture (as is typical with other products described as "scrubs"). This product does not have the abrasiveness of other scrub products. I used it for several days in a row and only noticed a marginal difference in my skin. I believe that continued use over several weeks would be required to see the full results of this product. I believe this product would be best for people with sensitive skin or who otherwise only desire light exfoliation. I personally prefer to use a more abrasive scrub once or twice a week as opposed to a product such as this one. I do believe the use of the word "scrub" in the name of this product is a bit misleading, as it does not have the abrasiveness of other products that use this word. So be aware that if you are looking for the more intense exfoliation typically associated with products described as scrubs, this product will not provide that. I would just like to state that I'm not the demographic these products are marketed to. I'm a 30 year old mom with kids and PCOS trouble skin. I also did not purchase these products because I am a crazed fan of 'Eleven'. I purchased these products because of ingredients, price, packaging, and rave reviews. This scrub is so awesome. It's the first cucumber scent (natural) that I've ever liked for starters. Smells really good. The scrub is also really effective. My skin felt sooo good after. No irritation, no itchiness at all. A little product goes a long way. I honestly can say that, so far, the products I have purchased are above the level of the high end scrubs I have purchased previously (Tatcha, DE, belief, Amore pacific etc.) I am really looking forward to getting the rest of the line when they come back in stock. I typically have my doubts about celebrity skin care but this was suggested to me by a friend. I was pleasantly surprised by the product, that left my face feeling fresh, soft and clean after use. I have oily combination skin with lots of blackheads and big pores. So I like using a daily scrub that doesn't make me red after using and helps keep oil away. I've used this once but I definitely like that it's a soft scrub, nothing like a sugar scrub or coffee. Just light beads and I just keep adding a little water to my fingers to scrub it in. Afterwards my face felt clean, didn't leave me red which is huge for me. I was using cliniques scrub but after finding out they still test on animals I had to ditch it. I've been using this for a few months on my combination acne prone skin. I use a little every night with a plain oil cleanse and I think it helps to keep away dry patches of skin. They last couple tubes I had barely squeezed out of the tube, but they were still minty. The newest tube I bought smelled like rancid oil broke me out and had no menthol. So I exchanged it thinking it was just an old tube. Nope same disgusting rancid crayon type smell, unsqueezable, and barely scrubs. So I thought I'd order from Clinique directly and see every one else's reviews. Why on earth would you change a perfect product? Have been buying this Clinique product for more years than I can remember. As it was always excellent. However this time bought 2 and on both the contents would not come out of tube no matter how hard I tried. The exfoliating cream was just stuck or dry inside. Took them back to store . Apparently l wasn’t the only one with the problem. I hope that Clinique goes back to the original formula. As I tried several facial exfoliant and none compare. Very disappointed.
I LOVE this product! I have gone through so many trying to find one similar, and NONE come close! Has the PERFECT amount of little gritty scrubbies for deep clean feeling. Could dry out your skin if used too often or you don't naturally have oily skin, or without a moisturizer. The only downside I can say is that Clinique products are only sold at select stores, and a little on the expensive side. But after using it, It's worth the $. Everyone has certain things they love and can't be substituted, this is one of those items for me. I bought the full Salicylic range after using a few products combined with other Nip & Fab lines. I couldn't believe the difference in my skin tone after just one wash with this scrub. I have lots of acne scarring on my chin and jaw line and they have almost disappeared after a couple of weeks of using this scrub along with the cleanser. I have had adult acne since I was 21 and I'm now 29 so I have tried pretty much everything…expensive products, natural products, homemade remedies…and this is the first product I have used where I can actually see a difference! It doesn't have a harsh scrub it's a lot smoother than the glycolic scrub from nip+fab so once in a while when I feel like my skin needs a good deep clean like after wearing heavy make up for example, I will use the glycolic scrub instead. But this scrub really brightens my skin and leaves it feeling soft and clean. This product isn’t going to offer intense exfoliation, but instead has a clearly, lotion-like consistency with some strawberry seeds in the mix. It smells lovely and natural when you first buy it and open it, but it goes bad and doesn’t smell good if you open it, but don’t use it up within a month, or so. The problem is that it is in a jar that you have to dip into to get the product, so it’s not ideal for keeping it fresh. It would be better in a tube, maybe? If you get a jar of this that smells bad or off, it probably isn’t fresh and you should seek a refund. Overall I don’t actually think this is actually worth purchasing if you are looking for an once-in-awhile exfoliating scrub. I didn’t repurchase after buying once jar. Definitely not what I expected, I bought this product as an exfoliate her even after hearing all the bad rep that this brand has gotten I still thought I would try it. I forgetting at home and opening it I noticed it did smell very nice but I almost had the consistency of a clay mask which I wasn't mad at. When I actually using this product I noticed they were very large chunks of what I'm assuming or almond considering it's an almond and honey scrub and it really didn't do much exfoliating. It honestly didn't do much of anything my skin did feel soft after use but I have a feeling that's just from the almond and honey in the product in a creamy consistency but as far as exfoliating goes I really don't think it does much as an exfoliator. I’ve been using this for over 5 years. I’m in my 40s and still had adult acne, and this has cleared up my skin like nothing else I’ve used. The smell doesn’t bother me like other reviewers, it smells good to me. I love the feeling of this creamy scrub, and my skin never feels dry or taught, it feels healthy and normal. My only complaints are they recently raised their price and the label on this is horrible. I keep this in my shower but out of direct water contact and the label still starts to flake off and there’s little black pieces from the label all over my shower. This little guy is actually a pretty decent exfoliator. The African black soap line is a pretty good line, especially for problematic skin. I usually don't use drugstore due to ingredients (read your labels) but African black soap is a natural remedy for problematic skin. This exfoliator should be used no more than 3 times a week. Over exfoliating can cause irritation and more acne. I have the African black soap, This exfoliator, and the mask, and when used all together consistently, you will get more balanced skin. Though this doesn't "cure" acne, it will help prevent more acne from appearing. I use this exfoliator about twice a week with my other skincare (Pixi, Mario Bedoscu) and my skin has never been in better condition, and I'm 28. If your looking for something to balance your skin, and prevent acne, this little guy is a good choice. If your looking for all your acne to go away, this will probably not be enough. Read ingredients carefully when purchasing skincare people. Skincare brands purposely put ingredients like (Mineral oil, dimethicone) which block pores in their skincare to cause more irritation, hence forcing you to purchase more. If skincare brands made miracle skincare products, they would go out of business. Coming from an oily, 28 year old with HUGE pores, and closed comedones (flesh colored bumps under the skin) your best bet is to watch what your putting on your face. Now that I look at ingredients, my face has never looked better, almost a clear face, and I've never had a clear face. When you pay attention to ingredients, it does a world of good. I wanted to like this a lot since it’s “natural” and has raving reviews, but it just wasn’t for me. Skin always feels so soft after each use, but it also feels like there is a layer of some kind on the skin. Maybe it’s the Shea butter or Coconut? That’s another thing, I don’t like coconut on my face as it’s highly comedogenic! I don’t like anything that clogs pores. I have enough issues with my pores. This is a gentle exfoliant. I received the Clean and Clear Deep Exfoliating Scrub to test from Home Tester Club. The directions weren't clear if you are supposed to use before or after you clean your face so I used it both ways. I actually prefer to have scented products. But I will say that the first time I used it, the fragrance was strong to the point it kind of burned my eyes and the back of my throat. But after using it several times, I got used to it. Again, the directions aren't terribly specific about how often a day to use it either. But it does say it's gentle enough for daily use. I bought this, the Clean and Clear Exfoliating Facial Scrub, and also their Clean and Clear Cream Cleanser. After use my face felt cool, fresh and instantly silky smooth. I rotate between the scrub and cleanser each day when I wash my face. And it last a while as it only takes a small amount each use. When applying I could immediately feel if going to work deep within my pores. The tingling sensation makes me feel like it's doing exactly what it was made for. I live in and area where my face and skin are constantly exposed to the sun. In return from so much exposure my skin tends to become dry and a bit flaky. I have to use a scrub exfoliator to remove the dried skin . The scrub is gentle to the touch not overly abrasive. It left my skin feeling smooth and clean . The only thing with it being a gel , it didn't come off as easily as I thought it would . It's much easier applying this gel scrub in the shower . I have combination, pretty clear skin with some enlarged pores on my cheeks and some congestion in my T Zone, so the perfect exfoliant is a necessity. The exfoliant beads are quite large, compared to other exfoliants I have tried and I feel this causes me to spend a little more time working-in the product. It's like a facial in the shower and leaves your skin smooth with a fresh look throughout the day. Its gentle on my skin and I use it alternate days. I blend it in with circular motions and then leave it for a few minutes before I rinse it out. It leaves me with supple soft skin. I got this as a trial size sample, but had to come here to add my experience. It did leave my skin very smooth, I’ll give it that. However, I have been using some pretty heavy duty skin care lines and products since I was 12 (I’m 23 now) and have never ever had an issue with product just finding it’s way into my eye during regular use…until this stuff? As soon as I rinsed my face it felt like there was sand in both of my eyes. I thought little of that since the exfoliating particles did feel small and sand-like on my skin, thinking it would pass quickly with a little light rubbing. Wrong. It’s been half an hour since my nightly skincare routine; I’ve taken out my contacts and massaged with contact solution and still: sand in my eyes. I didn’t change anything about the mechanics of washing and rinsing my face. The only difference about tonight compared to the last ten years has been this product. It doesn't leave a residue after rinsing, and the beads are gentle enough to prevent scratching. If you have any pimples or broken skin, this product does irritate/burn them. Firstly, I’m not a fan of cream facial cleansers, and this one is a prime example of that. Even though the smell of this face wash is gorgeous, the way my skin feels after using this is like having a thick layer of cream on my face. No matter how much water I use to rinse, the thick residue feeling never seems to fade. I would probably recommend for anyone with dry skin, for this isn’t helping my oily problem areas. I am really enjoying this stress control power clear scrub. It works with my sensitive skin and I love how refreshed my skin feels ready for bed with my nighttime moisturizer. This formula I think is a very good happy medium between too rough and too soft it is very creamy and light easy to blend in and gives me a nice exfoliation without drying out my skin. Acne scrubs specifically are tough for me because they usually irritate, dry, and break out my skin which is just a frustration, but this stress control scrub is just right. And because it is such a smooth consistency I can really take my time and work it into my skin in circular motions getting to where I usually breakout chin and jawline to name a few, those tricky places. I have not experienced any negative reactions and it keeps my skin smooth and taken care of for the week. So as I am treating my skin with some medicine I am also giving myself a blast of fresh cleaning my pores. I really feel like this product helps give me that all over clean and keep my skin in a good place. The cucumber and soothers are great too. Clean skin is happy skin. YES, I plan to buy this again. This is my favorite budget exfoliator. It is gentle, but effective. This has glycolic acid salicylic acid. Glycolic acid is a chemical exfoliants that is anti-aging. Salicylic acid is a chemical exfoliant that clears up helps prevent blackheads. I use this in the shower and leave it on for a few minutes as a scrub + mask. That way I get maximum benefit from the glycolic acid. This is a great scrub for all skin types. For real acne sufferers I would suggest using a mask with benzoyl peroxide. Physical chemical exfoliants can agravate acne and cause inflammation. If you suffer from acne, then make sure you take a good daily probiotic. Wash your pillow cases often. Focus on products that are anti-inflammatory and have natural antiseptic/anti-bacterial properties. Less is more. I hope this helps some people suffering with acne:)yorleny.a
This scrub is good to use for acne maybe 2 times a week. Anymore than that, it makes my face dry and irritated. Overall it does an okay job. I have been using it for over a year on and off in between other face washes and it doesn't really do much for my acne. The ingredients in it look a bit sus. Salicylic acid is great for acne, however whatever else is in this product may not be so great. It also has a weird over powering smell. If you are looking for a back up acne scrub this is okay but for long term use, it may not do too much for your face. It's not the worst out there but I would probably recommend something else.bree.h

I received the “L’Oreal Paris Pure Sugar Scrub Smooth & Glow” for free for test and review from Topbox Circle. At first glance, you don’t think anything of this scrub but wow, it totally blew me away with what it can really do. I liked how it’s encased in this tiny but heavy, glass jar. When you open it, the consistency looks quite thick and sticky looking but isn't sticky at all. The smell is amazing, like dark chocolate coffee syrup and I just wanted to eat it(but I didn't)! The application is pretty easy and you don’t need a whole lot. Make sure not to get it too close to your eyes as there are little granules in this scrub that could irritate your eyes. Immediately after applying, you’ll notice this amazing, warming sensation that spreads all over your face. The blend of sugars, coffee, oils felt so luscious against the skin. Use gentle circular motions around your face since the instructions say to use it on dry skin. If you do use it on damp skin or wet skin, it's not as effective because the sugar crystals would have dissolved leaving only the coffee grounds behind as an exfoliant. I'm glad that the blend of sweet almond and coconut oils help it be less abrasive. Rinses well with water revealing baby soft skin. My skin felt cleaner and smoother in just one use. It was perfectly fine for my sensitive skin. I’ve used this scrub, three times now and I love it so much! I had really rough textured skin between my eyebrows and now it feels so much smoother. I’ve used Loreal’s Pure Clay Face Masks in the past but I never stopped to try their scrubs. I’m going to have to check out their line of scrubs to see what else I can try. I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I’ve been using this face lip scrub for a couple of weeks now, and I can honestly say that it’s a very interesting product. The first thing that hits you when you open this jar is the scent,… I mean, Holy Dark Roast, Batman!!! The coffee aroma is super strong and pungent, so if you’re not a fan of the smell of coffee, this isn’t for you… I personally enjoy the scent and found it to be a nice robust fragrance. This scrub also has a warming sensation as you apply it, so it’s ideal for a chilly winter morning wake-up call. As for the ingredients of the scrub itself, it’s mostly a mix of sugar and coffee grounds (don’t use a white washcloth to rinse this off, take it from me). The sugar granules were larger than I anticipated, which meant I had to be careful when massaging this scrub into my skin because it’s definitely on the rougher side of exfoliating products. After rinsing, my face looked radiant and smooth (albeit a little red LOL). I had the softest skin and felt ready to take on the day… However, I didn’t notice a real difference when using this scrub for my lips, so that was a tad disappointing… I think I’ll stick to using this for my face only. Overall, I enjoyed the scent and results of this scrub, but because it’s such an intense exfoliation I won’t find myself using it frequently… I also am disappointed that it’s advertised as a lip scrub as well, but didn’t actually prove to be effective for my lips. I dont drink coffee. But boy do I love the smell of it. And THIS SCRUB smells like fresh ground coffee! It really does. Its a pivk me up for sure. And the scrub itself is not too harsh and 100% leaves my skin better than before I used it. Its a little too liquidy when ypu use most of the scrub. You really gotta dig to the bottom to then pick up actually scrubbies. But its so worth it! I've used soo many face scrubs and this has to be my fave! It is quite abrasive, but I like that. I have combination skin and suits me so well. It gets rid of all the oil and dirt in my pores. Literally leaves my skin squeeky clean and soft without leaving it dry. My pores look so much better and it leaves my complexion even and bright. I use it with the glycolic face wash and I just love them. Between them, they have also helped reduce the scarring on my face and don't flare up my roseca. I really want to try the pads next!

I really love this product. I've been using it for several months now. I do have combination skin, slightly oily, sensitive and sometimes patchy and dry. Even though this product does contain acid it doesn't cause me any irritation and it helps keep breakouts away. It also exfoliates well and leaves my skin soft and smooth. I really liked the smell of this product and my skin felt really soft and clean after using it. I was however a little bit concerned by the plastic beads included in this product as they are not environment friendly. As I have also stated in other reviews, I found out that L'Oreal is not a cruelty-free company so I will not be buying this product again. However, If these are not things that concern you as a consumer, you will love the product and I highly recommend that you try it. I love this scrub! I use it in the shower which makes it easy to apply and remove. the scrubbing action is good and the salicylic acid makes my face feel clean. This is a must! It has the right size of exfoliating agents to get the job done. My skin feels so amazing, soft, and clears up any rough, dry patches. I love this! The scent is soft and delightful. This product brightens my skin and day every time I use it. I should note I don't have sensitive skin or acne. I do have dry to combinations skin. Now there are a couple things I've noticed. You MUST make sure you tighten that lid after ever use. Because I noticed the times I didn't, it formed a dry layer on top, but a tad bit of water took care of that. Another thing would be that, it made my dry areas feel a bit tight after using it but it's not anything my moisturizer can't handle. I still HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!Sol
I just started using this facial scrub. It is only my 2nd time using in a week and my face feels much smoother than before. It has a nice lemon scent like lemon meringue pie. The micro crystals used in the light cream base are very small and non-irritating to my sensitive skin. Found this to be highly-effective after rubbing gently into my face in circular motion for 1 minute. After rinsing off with warm water, there is a noticeable difference as it gets rid of dead skin cells and leaves my face pink from the scrubbing. Be sure to follow with an alcohol-free toner like witch hazel so does not sting and will soothe your skin, followed by serum, and night time moisturizer that is heavier. I'm doing this twice a week like recommended and at night before bed. Highly-recommend. A little pricey at 29.99 at Ulta, but worth it and should last a good while.patrice.m
I'm so in love with this one!! I wish I could use it every day! I have semi sensitive skin and exfoliators tend to irritate me more often than not. But this one is so gentle and made my skin feel so amazing!! It is probably the most gentle exfoliant I've ever used but it worked so well. Since winter set in my skin has been dry and flakey. This was like magic! Cleared away all my flakey irritated skin and left me feeling soft and smooth! And a little goes a long way! I barely had to use any and it covered my whole face! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something gentle but effective. I will not be able to live without this one now!Courtney
