Full disclosure I was entirely prepared to hate this and give it a bad review as it wouldn’t work for me like most others didn’t but I’m so glad I was proved wrong. I’m someone who is sooo picky when it comes to moisturizers because I always hated how thick and oily they felt on my skin. While I do have combination leaning oily skin I was a bit apprehensive on its claims but I truly 100% am loving this. It is super lightweight which is something I always try to find in any moisturizer because I need for it to be lifht right AND effective. It sinks into your skin fairly quickly and doesn’t leave the skin feeling wet at all. Makes true on its fragrance free promise bc i can’t smell a thing and my skins gotten a bit more sensitive as I got older so that’s great! I’ve been wearing it as my moisturizer under my makeup and I really like how it feels. I think this is something I’ll end up repurchasing as I like the amount you get is quite decent plus the price point is good. I like that it’s in a squeeze tube more than a pump too!stephanie.v
First impression when unboxing: The box and bottle are the same as the traditional packaging, simple, effective, pleasing to the eye. I opened the flip cap and took a whiff, there’s a light scent that reminds me of tanning lotion/sunscreen (kind of like that cooking bacon-esque scent). I read other reviews saying that a little goes a long way so I squeezed out a pea sized amount. The formula is super light, and is a water gel consistency (which made me nervous for the mattifying factor). I started with the back of my hand to see a comparison. A little definitely went a long way, and traveled up my entire forearm. I compared my hands and the hand with the product was significantly less shiny, and all of the cracks (it’s cold and dry where I am at the moment) were blurred. I tried it on my face and it definitely mattified my oily areas, but I wasn’t sure how hydrated I was. This can be a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave behind a film, but at the touch it felt like I didn’t have anything on and felt like I needed to reapply. When I did reapply though, it felt like I overused product so it definitely achieved its claim to fame. It’s not my holy grail but I’ll definitely use the whole tube especially since it didn’t break out my sensitive/acne prone skin.julia.s
I'm not particularly wowed by this product, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I do think this moisturizer lives up to its claims – matte finish, good for oily/combo skin types. My skin used to run on the oily side until I really got into skincare. Now my skin is more normal, though still acne prone.I've been using this moisturizer daily, AM PM. it does the job, but I don't mind a more hydrated look, hell, even feeling more hydrated would be nice too – something I'm not really getting with this moisturizer. If you like a more matte moisturizer, then this one is for you. Texture reminds me of a gel-cream, so not the sticky jelly texture like some gel moisturizers.The design of the cap also isnt the best. one of the two attachments broke after only 2 uses. they're too wide set apart from each other compared to other squeeze tubes that I use. This little cream is like a magic elixir for those of us suffering with dry, sensitive (hormonal) skin. It’s so very soothing and hydrates so deeply. It doesn’t sit on the surface of the skin like so many other products marketed to dry skin. It actually sinks in and makes your skin feel more balanced and noticeably softer to the touch. Plus, there is no scent, which is such an added bonus. It wears very well under makeup with no pilling. Instead, I feel it helps my makeup to glide on easier as my face is prepped. It’s such a good price as well. For us in Canada a 40ml tube is 40$ which is so economical considering what I usually pay for skin care. It’s helped my skin so much this winter as we’ve been in lockdown and stuck inside with the heat on all day. Sometimes, in the evenings I just take a big blob of cream and massage it into my face for 20 minutes and I feel like I’ve had a mini facial. It really is a lovely product. And if you’re like me, struggling to find a cream that actually absorbs and feels like it’s helping soothe your dry skin, then you might want to consider this one!!
La Roche Posay Effaclar Matt Daily moisturizer is a great product. I love all products from this brand but especially this one. My oily skin looks perfect after using it, and it’s stays the same for entire day. I am 24 years old and I always have rashes on one cheek, especially before menstruation. I accidentally bought this cream in a pharmacy and used it in the morning and at night. I am very surprised that the cream coped with the rashes in two weeks and now I have only traces left! This is just a super cream for the last 3 years! This has a light gray color to it, but disappears when rubbed into the skin. It feels very moisturizing at first, but when it dries down to a matte finish, my skin feels a little tight. I have dry combination skin, so it could just be due to my skin type. Upon the first sniff, this has a minty scent to it. However, after applying onto the skin, it has this strong, bamboo-ey (hard to describe) scent that doesn't dissipate after a few minutes. I can't say whether or not the salicylic acid in this has helped or not (since I haven't used it long enough), but this would probably suit people with oilier skin types. Overall the product is nice! The packaging is high quality and luxurious. Definitely not cheap. The moisturizer has a slight gray color (probably from the charcoal), when you first look at it, but it does not make your face gray when applying it on. For me I think this product is okay. It contains salicylic acid, which definitely made my skin purge after starting to use it. My skin has been purging for a while so I'm not sure if I like salicylic acid in my skincare routine (I prefer lactic acid since its better for dry skin types). But I do see the pore minimizing effects. Since I was given the full size of this product, it will definitely last a while since a little bit goes a long way! I have combination skin and tend to break out during my cycle. Overall, skin is pretty clear with some very minor hyperpigmentation. I was excited to use this as the ingredients have salicylic acid for pore congestion and charcoal for purifying. I used a basic routine- cleanse, tone, then used this as a moisturizer. When I initially put it on my skin, I felt a tingling sensation and it smelled quite nice if you like essential oils. However, the next morning my cheeks were red and irritated and I had small pustules on my forehead! I've never reacted to a product like this. Clinique is my go to brand for all my skin care. I have also rotated in some Estée Lauder concentrate for a refreshed texture. But this is included in step 3 of my daily routine. After washing well I use a small amount of toner then moisturize with a small amount of this product. It does a great job not clogging my pores and absolutely evens out skin tone. It doesn't leave any greasy residue. I have used it for years to smooth any lines around my eyes. It is very smooth and creamy and makes my skin feel so soft. Great for sensitive, dry, and combination skin. I would suggest using this every other day because it is very pricey. I always have the perfect texture after using and can apply my makeup over flawlessly. The scent is neutral and is not bothersome at all. I highly recommend this cremedarcy.d
I love the Repairwear Laser Focus serum. I thought I would like this product, too, so I bought a gift set with the serum, this night creme, and a matching eye creme. . However, this night creme is much heavier than the serum. I woke up with two spots breaking out on my skin (which hardly ever happens, now that I am in my mid-50s.) I thoroughly washed off this creme and applied Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion several times during the day. (I like the clarifying lotion as an exfoliant, so I still use it even though I now rarely have break-outs.) This recently underwent a name change. (I figured this out at the counter at Macy's.) So it is exactly the same product as the old moisturizer Clinique put out. I have very mild rosacea and this along with the Redness Solution cleanser and the green toner from Clinique solves that issue nicely. I can tell when I get lazy and don't use enough of this. So I know that it definitely works to keep my skin moisturized, smooth and no itchy rosacea flareups. I'm 47, live in brutal Las Vegas weather and thanks to genetics and these clinique products I look much younger. I don't have any aging lines or dark shadows under my eyes at all and am frequently told I look to be in my early 30's. I tried this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. The product I tried out was the Olay Regenerist Whipped Moisturizer SP 25. According to the box, it came with it; it's supposed to not only help moisturize your skin but also help protect it from the sun. My experience with using this product has been pretty great. I have combination skin and tend to have dry spots in random places on my face, but with this moisturizer, they have gotten better. Appearance: Out of the box the moisturizer comes in a cute palm-sized bottle that has a red bottom and a silver lid. The aesthetics are pleasing to the eyes and do make one feel like they are about to use an expensive product. Twisting the lid off the product I found there to be no safety seal, which disappointed me a little because you don't know if the product has been used or not. I took a star off due to this. The consistency and texture of the product are nice and have a whipped feel to them when taken a bit in your hands. It feels rather creamy, not sticky at all. It doesn't leave any residue on your face or leave any oily or sticky sensation. In using this product I like how you don't have to use a lot of it, a little goes a long way, with this moisturizer. I was able to cover both my face and neck with only a single swipe of it. Scent wise there is a very slight scent to it when bringing it up to your face, but that immediately goes away when applied. Now, as far as protecting your skin from the sun I think it does pretty well. In my experience, without applying SPF, every time I go out in the sun and come back in, even if it's for 15 minutes, I have a new freckle. Using this product however, has protected me from this. I probably need a stronger SPF, but this one isn't bad, especially since it's a two-in-one kind of product which is great since it helps save you money, and moisturizes and protects you from the sun. I recommend this product. What I really love about this product is how the jar fits into your palm, it's definitely portable and can hidden in your purse or bag. I tried this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I was excited to try this Olay Regenerist Whip Moisturizer with SPF 25 and to see how well it worked for my aging combination skin. Designed to visibly firm the skin while protecting against Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB rays, this lightweight moisturizer is formulated with Olay's signature Vitamin B3 and Peptide formula. The cream itself is packaged in a vibrant red jar and packed generously with the product. Lightly fragranced, this moisturizer does have a fluffy, whipped type texture which felt immediately soothing and hydrating once applied. It glides onto the skin smoothly and absorbed fairly quickly as well. My skin felt moisturized and supple once the moisturizer sank into my skin. I have used this several times under my makeup while out in the sun and I definitely had a decent amount of sun protection and did not suffer any sunburn or anything during those occasions. I like that it is paraben free, contains no synthetic dyes or phthalates and that it's also dermatologist tested. It was lightweight on my skin and did not leave any greasy or oily residue and my makeup lasted well. Since it does contain sunscreen and is more of a lighter moisturizer, I personally would recommend this more for daytime while using a deeper moisturizer for overnight care. I have always loved Olay products, but the first time I tried the Olay Whip, I definitely was not a fan, there was this pilling effect and it the moisturizer simply formed tiny beads on my skin, which only got worse with makeup on, no matter how long I waited after applying it to doing my makeup. When covid hit and we started having to wear masks, I got crazy clogged pores because my skin would become so dry and my cycle would only make these breakouts worse, that is why I decided to add Olay Regenerist Whip back into my Olay collection. Between the vitamin B3 for hydration and the peptides to help with aging and the fact that I've never had a breakout caused by an Olay product before it was at the top of my list fast as the first to try into my routine. The first thing I noticed about the container was the smooth texture and how easy it was to get a grip on both container and lid for easy opening, the second thing I saw made me squeal, a reusable and very easy to sanitize spill barrier! (earth girl side bar; Sustainable products containers has my heart and soul as well as Olay now. I hope it's as easy to return an empty container as it is to get them in the store!) When I lifted the seal and dipped a finger inside I instantly felt liquid silk just before the wonderful smell hit me, I could not wash my face and put this on fast enough! My husband is also a fan, apparently the other stuff I used previously made me smell like his grandma, thanks for the heads up hun. Changing up my skin care products and started using Olay Regenerist whipped moisturizer is hands up the best idea I've had in the past few years, and my skin has never looked better for it, even with just using it for a few days before work. I've been using the Water Cream for years. I loved the lightweight formula. I applied it twice daily after washing my face. It easily glided onto my skin when I applied it and absorbed into my quickly making it a mess free application. My face felt hydrated and smooth afterwards without feeling weighed down with product. However, when I most recently re-purchased the Water Cream I immediately noticed that the consistently was different. The cream was no longer lightweight. It felt heavier and almost had a whipped texture to it. I really had to rub the product to work it into my skin, but eventually it felt like the smooth product so was used to so I chalked it up to me overthinking it. However, within a few hours my face felt itchy and when I was able to look in a mirror I saw tiny bumps all over my face. I immediately washed my face off and used a different moisturizer to try to soothe my face. I'm aware that people's skin changes over time and need to adjust their skincare regimen over time. But because the cream felt so drastically different I looked into it and Tatcha has confirmed that they "had some very minor ingredient changes to the ingredient list to make it comply with international regulations." I am so disappointed that they changed the formula without putting anything in their product description or on their packaging in a way that i found noticeable. To start it off, I don't have a terrible acne problem, but I have a terrible problem with picking at my face and making it worse. I found out about tatcha through an ipsy bag but somehow forgot about it after. I've been using PanOxyl for my acne recently and it's been working, but I started to think about my skin and the nourishment it needs. Although pricy, when I received the packaging and letters, I was in awe with how Tatcha is supporting the futures of young girls/women with purchases. For someone who thinks about the world and the impact of everything, who can't complain about that? So I know you can't make pores disappear, I will say that using these products for a minute now made my pores appear a lot smaller and unclogged?. I'm amazed. Literally. After this I'm sure to use Tatcha in my longterm skin routine. THE ONLY THING I AM UPSET ABOUT — Is that I didn't take before and after pictures to show how serious I am about it. I bought this product from Amazon. It had good reviews and I was looking for something that would calm my skin while providing moisture and aid my acne. You only need a little product at a time so it lasts a long time. It had a strong sent that I didn't care for. The texture felt too much like a film for me as well. So it actually did the opposite of what I wanted. I found it very drying yet occlusive and I ended up getting more pimples while using it. When I first started using this moisturizer a few years ago I loved it. My recent purchase of this moisturizer hasn't been the best. I'm not sure if an ingredient has been added but I'm even more oily after I apply it. I started having continuous breakouts all over my face (cheeks, jawline, between eyebrows & forehead) for a month. I thought it was stress and other things. I decided to eliminate this product from my skincare routine just to see if it would help. My skin immediately started clearing up. I believe it's a good product just not for oily, sensitive & acne prone skin. I also noticed my make-up looking terrible by the end of the day. In the morning it would be fine, during mid-day I look like a oil stick. Today was my second day not using it under my makeup & my face is not oily at all & it still looks fresh! My pores no longer feel clogged! I still love the Farmacy brand & will continue to purchase other skincare items! I'm just praying my review will help you all come up with another moisturizer that's a little lighter, less clogging of the pores and less fragrances and ingredients.
The new formula ruined this moisturizer for me. I had a subscription and was obsessed with the original formula. The smell was the most amazing and refreshing scent. I always felt like I was transported to a tropical island, and applying it was my favorite part of my skincare routine. The scent just lifted me up and relaxed me. Now, the new formula has zero scent. The whole experience is non-existent for me as a result. The original formula also just felt better on my skin overall. I could even apply it right over and around my eye area, and never experienced any irritation. It actually helped soothe my eyes. The new formula burns! I’m so disappointed that the formula was changed so drastically. I really just hate this moisturizer now. It’s nothing like the original, which was my holy grail and addiction for years. If you’ve ever found a moisturizer you truly love everything about, then you know the devastation of not being able to get it anymore and how hard it is to find a replacement. I’ve been an avid user for years. The formula was perfect and never broke out my sensitive skin. UNTIL they changed the formula. I just purchased a new package and to say the difference is huge is a massive understatement. Whereas previously the moisturizer perfectly absorbed into my skin and truly had the oil free dewy glow you want, the new one adds this weird layer on top of your skin that just….sits there. It’s kind of sticky like it hasn’t fully absorbed and, this sounds dramatic, but it feels like it’s clogging my pores immediately. Like when you use a bad sunscreen, or a bad lotion in a pinch, and when you sweat you can feel that layer of sweat trying to come out but can’t and it just feels gross? Yeah. That’s how it feels almost immediately and then subsequently the rest of the day. You’re just sitting there not sweating and your face can’t breath or dry feeling. It gets worse, especially if you do end up outside and sweating. Needless to say, my sensitive skin that I actually had under continuous control for almost two years now looks like a battle zone with all kinds of breakouts coming up even in areas I don’t usually get them, like my neck. I heard a lot about this Bioderma product over the years, have used some other products from the range and liked them, but never had a chance to test it out myself so I was pleasantly surprised to find it in the Marie Claire box. I have a combination skin and my favourite face cream/treatment is La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + and I love it to such an extent that it would be my only desert Island item. Therefore, my expectations were high.\nI must say I was a fan of a lightweight formula, somewhat lotion like. It has a delicate scent, very pleasant and subtle. The cream spreads like a dream on the skin and is absorbed in seconds. It does give a smooth and matte finish, I didn't detect any nasty film either. The skin fels soft and looks mattified. Pores might look a little less visible but I am a sceptic when I read that something will refine my pores… it might fill them in so they look less prominent, but I do not really believe in magic. \nWhat I noticed though is that Bioderma Pore Refiner does keep the skin matte for longer ( compared to a regular moisturiser). A definite plus is a fact that it does seem to refine the skin texture, it does smooth out the skin and it doesn't clog the pores ( I know, it should be self evident but believe me or not I have used anti acne products that cause acne).\nMy problem with this product is that I m not exactly sure whether it is a kind of a moisturiser, a treatment or just a kind of primer. When used on its own I saw the best results, and in my opinion it is good to use it at night but then we do not really need the mattifying effect.\nWhen used with other products I am not sure when to apply it / before or after a moisturiser, before or after an spf? It also might cause a bit of a trouble as it doesn't agree with some make up primers and foundations. In that case, I just didn't use any primer, treated Pore refiner as one and opted for a compatible foundation.\nAll in all, I think I get the idea of this product, I think it works pretty well but there are some little disadvantages that make me stay faithful to Effaclar Duo + making the Bioderma affair only temporary.\nAnita R.
I was blessed enough to be given the Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner by Home Tester Club for my honest review. This is an Amazing product that has completely transformed my my entire face, and especially my T-zone. I have suffered from very large pores and blackheads on my oily nose and chin my entire life. This is by far the BEST Pore Refining Product I have ever used. My pores are so small I now have the confidence to go out without makeup. When I did put on my makeup my face was so soft, smooth and improved my foundation blended so easily my face was flawless . It is a "Must Have" to add to your skincare routine if you have any of these issues: blackheads, large pores, acne and/or oily skin. The results are amazing and I had no irritation to it whatsoever. I was lucky enough to score a sample of #Biodermaporerefiner with one of the boxes I received from #Pinchme. Yes! I can say all that positive stuff about it now but. .. seeing that I don't normally use this type of product, nor did I believe it would actually show signs of having any effectiveness to improve whatever imperfection it was made for. Throughout my many years of experience, trying every new miracle product that came out over the last 4 decades, I found that most of the products that are the type to have all the different individual treatments for every specific need, are the ones that really don't work that great so they try to make their money by getting ppl to try several different types of treatments on the first sale. I always, swore by how strongly I personally felt that all you really needed is a good washing technique with a gentle cleanser, exfoliate once or twice a week, avoid too much sun, eat healthy and use one really good moisturizer at night as a daily routine. .So, I bet you can probably guess how stupid this "old miss thinks I know it all" feels now😂 Yes! I ended up being quite shocked when Bioderma proved me wrong after all these yrs lol. Having a very pale complexion, you see every imperfection on my skin, my pores stand out almost as bad as my freckles. From the very first time, just mins after applying Bioderma, I could see a noticeable difference. Each day I used it my pores appeared smaller until they were barely noticeable at all (even when I was purposely looking for them in a magnifying mirror). It also seemed to get rid of my most recent issue of being disfigured looking from having an outbreak of reversed puberty (thank you!!!) Seriously!?!? Come on now!!! This Ain't Even right !! Why in the world am I getting zits now that I'm in my Golden Years when I've never had any problems with them. before, not even in my teenie bopper years! Wow wow wow! The name miracle clear for this line is SPOT ON! It really is a miracle how fast these products can clear your skin and keep your skin clear. The only downside to this moisturizer is that it smells a little weird, but it's not terrible and such a small price to pay for such a quality product. It's a soft cream texture that absorbs quickly and feels great going on. It moisturizes really well, while doing so much more as well. This moisturizer is pretty thick. I have sensitive, combo skin and I gotta say, after a few hours after applying, my skin is super oily. Initially, after applying, my skin feels super soft and great but it definitely doesn't stay that way all day. Not sure if it's helping my acne disappear since it's making my face more oily too. I had a few break outs and after using this, they disappeared in a few days.susantime

Full disclosure I was entirely prepared to hate this and give it a bad review as it wouldn’t work for me like most others didn’t but I’m so glad I was proved wrong. I’m someone who is sooo picky when it comes to moisturizers because I always hated how thick and oily they felt on my skin. While I do have combination leaning oily skin I was a bit apprehensive on its claims but I truly 100% am loving this. It is super lightweight which is something I always try to find in any moisturizer because I need for it to be lifht right AND effective. It sinks into your skin fairly quickly and doesn’t leave the skin feeling wet at all. Makes true on its fragrance free promise bc i can’t smell a thing and my skins gotten a bit more sensitive as I got older so that’s great! I’ve been wearing it as my moisturizer under my makeup and I really like how it feels. I think this is something I’ll end up repurchasing as I like the amount you get is quite decent plus the price point is good. I like that it’s in a squeeze tube more than a pump too!stephanie.v
First impression when unboxing: The box and bottle are the same as the traditional packaging, simple, effective, pleasing to the eye. I opened the flip cap and took a whiff, there’s a light scent that reminds me of tanning lotion/sunscreen (kind of like that cooking bacon-esque scent). I read other reviews saying that a little goes a long way so I squeezed out a pea sized amount. The formula is super light, and is a water gel consistency (which made me nervous for the mattifying factor). I started with the back of my hand to see a comparison. A little definitely went a long way, and traveled up my entire forearm. I compared my hands and the hand with the product was significantly less shiny, and all of the cracks (it’s cold and dry where I am at the moment) were blurred. I tried it on my face and it definitely mattified my oily areas, but I wasn’t sure how hydrated I was. This can be a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave behind a film, but at the touch it felt like I didn’t have anything on and felt like I needed to reapply. When I did reapply though, it felt like I overused product so it definitely achieved its claim to fame. It’s not my holy grail but I’ll definitely use the whole tube especially since it didn’t break out my sensitive/acne prone skin.julia.s
I'm not particularly wowed by this product, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I do think this moisturizer lives up to its claims – matte finish, good for oily/combo skin types. My skin used to run on the oily side until I really got into skincare. Now my skin is more normal, though still acne prone.I've been using this moisturizer daily, AM PM. it does the job, but I don't mind a more hydrated look, hell, even feeling more hydrated would be nice too – something I'm not really getting with this moisturizer. If you like a more matte moisturizer, then this one is for you. Texture reminds me of a gel-cream, so not the sticky jelly texture like some gel moisturizers.The design of the cap also isnt the best. one of the two attachments broke after only 2 uses. they're too wide set apart from each other compared to other squeeze tubes that I use. I started using this during first covid lockdown. Initially I completely stopped wearing any makeup and my skin became really sensitive, dry and sore. I tried different moisturisers but couldn't find the right solution. Then I found this. Oh. My. Days. This was kind to my sensitive skin, didn't sting or look blotchy at all. It actually cleared up the dry and sore spots and evened my skin. My skin has never felt healthier. Plus it gives a light colour and good coverage without the feel of heavy foundation. And very sensitive skin! Whilst this cream has not miraculously unclogged my pores, without doubt it has gradually, by the end of this first tube, made an overall difference to the tone of my skin – it kind of looks more even and less blotchy, and it feels softer and far less dry. After the first few days of use the top of my nose went really dry and I was a bit dismayed, but I persisted and a few days later the dryness vanished. Most significantly for me, I have always had a very dry, redish and slightly flaky patch along one cheek parallel to my nose, which can go even more flaky when I add make-up. Much to my surprise, this patch has now completely gone – really, honestly, no sign of it at all, and no sign of flaky, dry areas when I add make-up (it’s a great, non-greasy base for foundation). I wasn’t expecting that to completely vanish! I do think my chin is not getting quite as clogged as it was with an oilier-based cream, and although I have still had one or two spots, they’ve been very minor. I’ve not been using it round my eyes – I think I read not to use it on your eye orbits on their website – so I just use my usual Boots face cream there. I’ve had no sensitivity issues, so I’ve not had to abandon it owing to itchy skin. One tube of Effaclar Duo has lasted around seven weeks, using mornings under make-up and each night before bed. I’m just at the final stage where you cut the tube in half to scrape out the last bit before starting a new one. I am *very* pleased with this face cream and I will deffo stay with it now. It significantly reduces the size of the pimples when applied on its first treatment… it however does dry out your skin a bit, but if you add in some extra hydration it’s great! But not only does it help reduce the size of the pimples over time to completely eliminating them .. it also significantly reduces the scaring from them (which is great since I like to pick things even tho I know I shouldn’t 🙈) it absorbs quick and you can’t really feel it on your skin like some other spot treatments. It not only contains salicylic acid for the acne treatment and exfoliation but it also contains niacinamide to help soothe irritation and help with controlling sebum production and if that isn’t enough it contains a prebiotic to help repair the damaged skin barrier! I use this in conjunction with my foreo espada blue light acne treatment and these products together work quick!! And sooooo well!!!marla.m

This little cream is like a magic elixir for those of us suffering with dry, sensitive (hormonal) skin. It’s so very soothing and hydrates so deeply. It doesn’t sit on the surface of the skin like so many other products marketed to dry skin. It actually sinks in and makes your skin feel more balanced and noticeably softer to the touch. Plus, there is no scent, which is such an added bonus. It wears very well under makeup with no pilling. Instead, I feel it helps my makeup to glide on easier as my face is prepped. It’s such a good price as well. For us in Canada a 40ml tube is 40$ which is so economical considering what I usually pay for skin care. It’s helped my skin so much this winter as we’ve been in lockdown and stuck inside with the heat on all day. Sometimes, in the evenings I just take a big blob of cream and massage it into my face for 20 minutes and I feel like I’ve had a mini facial. It really is a lovely product. And if you’re like me, struggling to find a cream that actually absorbs and feels like it’s helping soothe your dry skin, then you might want to consider this one!!
La Roche Posay Effaclar Matt Daily moisturizer is a great product. I love all products from this brand but especially this one. My oily skin looks perfect after using it, and it’s stays the same for entire day. It’s very gentle and do not cause any irritation on my sensitive skin.I’ve been using this for over 5 years or so and I can tell it’s irreplaceable. The best drugstore moisturizer ever. I am 24 years old and I always have rashes on one cheek, especially before menstruation. I accidentally bought this cream in a pharmacy and used it in the morning and at night. I am very surprised that the cream coped with the rashes in two weeks and now I have only traces left! This is just a super cream for the last 3 years! (I tried this brand before about 5 years ago, and it didn’t help me, maybe another cream). I advise everyone! I've used the Lab Series daily rescue as a daily moisturizer for years.. back when it was SPF 15. It was great to see that they updated this to be SPF 35 except I could only find the 50ML version in stores and online; they have updated the bottle to double the amount for what seems like the same price — not sure I've been keeping up. Back to the product: I love that it sucks right in and doesn't leave me with a sticky feeling for long. I also feel like it gives my face a more even tone even though it's not tinted. It's great for the guys in your life that just don't seem to want to wear any moisturizer — just place it in the bathroom and it's a one step and done after every shower, super easy.Socialliving
I use this along with the Pro Ls all in one. I work indoors so use the all in one. If I'm out doors I will use the defense lotion. I find this a little thinner compared to the all in one. It takes at least two applications to get the desired level of moisturisation even on my oily skin. I don't dislike the product. It's great. I long used the Lab Series moisturizing face lotion but it was discontinued, this being the nearest replacement. And I like it better! It is thicker than the old one, which I much prefer. As a man of some years myself, I find I have few wrinkles and smooth skin, for which I give this product much of the credit. Yes, it is expensive, but a little goes a long way, so a 1.7 ounce tube lasts me a couple months of daily use. Highly recommended.hard2work1

I've decided I really like this moisturizer. It feels almost like a light gel moisturizer, and seems to sit on the skin more than other moisturizers I've used. I feel like my skin is protected this way and it is a nice light layer between my skin and makeup. And when I don't wear makeup, it is absorbed enough so that my skin looks hydrated but is still protected. I bought this because I was using the Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream, and I was looking for alternatives to that. I came across Hyram's video about the Dr. Jart products, and then found out that Hyram now has his own skincare line. In the video, I also learned that essential oils can be harmful to your skin just like how general "fragrance" is harmful. It seemed like Hyram has done lots of research and is very knowledgeable of different skincare ingredients. I'm glad I tried this. I have very sensitive, dry skin and usually, foundation doesn't work with my skin very well. But, since I started using this moisturizer, makeup seems to be more even, and my skin looks and feels better without makeup. Thank you!K
First of all how bad can you rate a product that helps the world around it? Honestly. I cannot explain how much I love this product and how much I wish I could buy more of it. I remember reading reviews saying that if you have dry skin then you should consider looking somewhere else, and let me tell you that is bull! I have combination skin, but I do often get flare-ups of eczema on my face. Never in my life have I had a product that was able to keep my skin moisturized and not oily at the same time. I felt that I had to sacrifice one thing for another and that is just NOT true. Life-changing, honestly. Working to buy the whole collection soon haha, a college student has to take their products once at a time. However, I definitely know that I will be buying them all from Selfless by Hyram. Bought this on a whim while on sale, not expecting much at all… I was shocked to find it controlling shine in my oil-slick of a T-zone, while simultaneously hydrating enough to prevent settling/breakdown in my under eye area. Absorbs quickly and doesn’t pill if over-applied (I run late often and in my haste have been known to overdue it). But this was definitely a win for me! Side note: after reading other reviews I was so confused by the comments regarding the scent. I made a point of checking mine as I applied, and then again rubbed into the back of my hand. I LOVE this moisturizer it feels so refreshing when applied to the skin doesn't have a smell which i don't mind. I used to use kiehl's facial cream but it just wasn't enough moisture for my skin and i found myself reapplying because my skin was still dry. I normally use this at night with facial oil and it just gives me that extra boost of moisture. During the winter my skin has definitely gotten dryer so i use this in the morning after my serums and before sunscreen and it does not make my skin oily throughout the day but still gives me enough moisture to where i don't see any flakiness. I have also have acne prone skin and this has not caused me to breakout whatsoever. It's so affordable as well compared to other products. The only thing i DONT like is the packaging… the product has a gel consistency and so the screw on cap is really inconvenient when applying the product to your hands and then your face, definitely would be nicer if it was in a pump.Banana

As strange as it is it has made my skin soft and smooth. I'm noticing I can also use it to deeply moisturize on the body. Elbows included. This is my first snail product and I actually quite like it. I received this moisturizer from Peach Slices in exchange for my honest review ~ I have tried several products that contained Snail Mucin as an ingredient. I found them all to be slimy and very off-putting. I just couldn't get over the texture. This moisturizer is nothing like that. It's more of a gel/cream combo. This is the perfect moisturizer for my blemish prone skin. It has a nice cooling effect when I apply it and soaks in quickly without leaving any stickiness behind. My skin has really started to clear up and I no longer have dry spots. The Snail Mucin works as an antibacterial and really binds moisture in. The texture is amazing and feels heavenly, it's like a whipped cream. And is quite heavy (in a good way). But unfortunately, it irritated the sensitive parts of my face, but then again my skin is pretty reactive. Maybe I used too much? (I used two pea sizes.) I love this moisturizer! I came across it on a YouTube video while looking for hydrating moisturizers. I have combination skin and my skin feels so hydrated after using this. It’s important to note that I pair this with the Laniege hyaluronic revitalizing toner which is also very hydrating. I also use an exfoliating cleanser, Paula’s Choice vitamin C serum and Innisfree sunscreen during the day. I use the moisturizer at night as well with other products. Love the combo! I have super oily skin and my skin had a lot of tiny bumps along with acne…so I'm using actives but they would leave my skin dry. Okay, i have to leave a review because 1. this has been a staple product among the rest of my usual high end skin care for YEARS but 2. I feel like it only works on certain types of skin to make a difference. I used this all through high school and never really had acne so I couldn’t totally see the results of it. my skin is very dry and somewhat sensitive but this year once I started working out I started getting a little acne on my chin here and there and ended up using something from proactive with A LOT of retinol that ABSOLUTELY destroyed my skin barrier. my skin on my chin was chapped, insanely dry and red and after that acne started popping up everywhere on my chin, but not like regular pimples. they were huge and dry/cyst like. I started using harsh products and oily skin face wash to get rid of it (i’ve never had experience with acne so in my mind acne=oily skin) but little did i know it was because my skin barrier was so destroyed and dried up that THAT was the reason for all my breakouts! I decided to stop with all the harsh products and start from the basics with gentle, moisturizing products again. my skin was definitely thanking me for it but still had a small amount of acne on my chin. after applying hydrating toner and serum I would apply this product for my acne. my skin has been clearing faster than ever which shows me this product is not too drying and the perfect formula for my skin to help with my acne but also keep the skin moisturized. my skin barrier is still a work in progress lol but this product has been a lifesaver for me. not too much or too little, but just right for the dry/sensitive skin breakouts!d
The scent smells so good. I expected the size to be bigger but it's as big as my palm. The packaging looks nice and sturdy. It feels cool on the skin after applying. One of the reason why I bought this was because of its benefits and its ingredients, particulary salicylic acid which helps in combatting acne.
