I was very excited to try this product. Of course, the whole idea behind an exfoliating peel is that it strips away the outer most layer of dead skin cells, leaving behind a brighter softer, firmer face. That was not the case with this product. Firstly, it differs from other exfoliating peels on the market because it is a leave on product. You do not wash it off. Secondly, you're supposed to use it every day, as opposed to once or even twice a week with other products. After testing this product for a week, I was glad to put it back on the shelf. My largest complaint was that it smelled like liquid smoke. I felt like I had just smeared barbecue sauce all over my face. Even though it went on as a very thin liquid, it left behind a sticky residue that would not go away. The instructions say to wait for the product to be fully absorbed by your skin, and then apply a moisturizer. The product was never fully absorbed. The instructions also want you to apply this to a freshly cleaned face. Part of my skin care regimen is a very light, exfoliating cleanser. If I applied this product after washing my face with said cleanser, it stung and burned. If applied after just a gentle cleaning without exfoliation, I didn't have any issues with stinging or burning. After week of use I could not detect any noticeable differences in my skin. Love the natura bissé peel mask, it really works instantly, after cleansing I put this gel peel on for around 15mins then use a sponge to remove, straight after I use my usual Toner, serum and face cream or oil. Don't be scared off by the words "extreme peel". You won't burn your face with this gentle yet effective peel. Before reading about it and trying a sample, I was afraid it would be too much for my mature skin. However, it self-neutralizes, so it won't burn you. I've used this now many times and have never had any irritation. Although it seems pricey, you only use a few drops each time and it lasts a very long time. I use it once a week. I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes. I’m not a stranger to chemical exfoliation; AHA, BHA, and retinol are regular parts of my skincare regimen. I also typically use a higher percentage AHA treatment once every week or so. All of this is say: I thought this would like one of those. I was wrong. The application itself is not very beginner-friendly, as the product has a very intense alcohol scent. I found myself coughing each time I inhaled during application. It’s also very uncomfortable, but luckily that feeling subsides after the first minute or so. Immediately afterwards, my skin feels tighter and drier (and my skin is already fairly dry.) The days following, my skin peels and flakes off, not unlike the first time I tried retinol. However, about six days after the peel, my skin is noticeably nicer. The texture smooths out considerably and my forehead looks almost glassy. It’s quite nice. Of course, I stop all other exfoliation three days before and after, stay hydrated and moisturized, and wear sunscreen during the daylight hours. I’m very pleased with this peel, but I’m not sure if I would have stuck with it if I wasn’t already used to chemical exfoliation; the scent, the discomfort, and the peeling for days afterwards could deter someone less experienced.jessica.c
This has help clear my skin well. For the pass two years, I struggle with really bad acne, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots. Thanks to this, it has improve my skin. The only thing that I’m not a fan of was applying this to the skin because it gave me a little burning sensation.
I completed the first vial of blue brilliance a week ago. I had peeling from day 4-7 and my skin looks brighter. I’m looking forward to completing the 2nd vial in about a week. Hi, I have been using this product for years (but I purchased 60 treatments, not 30)! I love it so much, I get my mother to bring it when she comes to the Netherlands, or ship it to me (since COVID). I used to use the regular strength peel until they came out with this new formula, which I was so excited to try—> with my most recent purchase. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I used it to maintain professional microdermabrasion results from over 10 years ago as a result of acne scars on my cheeks from when I was a teenager. Now I am using it to battle fine lines and maintain even skin tone and youthful appearance. When I first got the products, I used the peel everyday for a week for a more aggressive “initial” exfoliation, and then reduced gradually to three/two times a week and now biweekly or weekly. I am 36 years old, Caucasian with some sun damage and fine lines around the eye area. I have used this peel at night and also in the daytime, however due to my age and skin, If I am planning on applying or wearing makeup that day, that the product does not mesh well with my other creams and foundations, and emphasizes my eye lines. Now, I apply it in mornings on makeup free days (with sunscreen only) but mostly at nighttime. My skin has improved a lot. Because I get such a large quantity, I usually add 3 or 5 treatments in gifts for friends/family because it is such a high quality product that is useful for all ages and skin types ( I used it in my 20’ and now my 30’s). My sister just recently found some of the samples I had given her literally ages ago (1-2 years), tried it and sent me a text saying how amazing they are and then proceeded to video chat me to show me how nice her skin looked. This is a must-have! I was so hesitant to purchase it because of the price but it is so worth it. I have very dry acne-prone skin. I have been on Accutane twice and when my skin started to break out again I did not want to have to go on the third time. I decided to do a ton of research and came across Dr Whitney Bowe's skin cycling routine. I already had a perscription for tretinoin but when I first started using it I used way too much and it made my skin very sensitive. I also needed a product for exfoliation night. I wanted to try Paula's choice exfoliant but it is not available through Sephora Canada so I decided to give this a try. I am so glad I did. This is my favorite product in my routine. I notice such a difference every time I use it. It exfoliates without dehydrating my skin which is a miracle considering I live in northern BC with very harsh winters. It somehow removes all the dead skin while leaving my skin literally glowing. It works so well with my tretinoin and moisturzier – I have never had my skin look so good. Because I only use it once or twice a week with the skin cycling routine it actually is not that expensive. This box should last me 6-7 months. I didn't think I would like the individually packaged wipes but I actually love them. So good for traveling to. I have NOTHING bad to say about this product! If I had to choose between two products forever it would be the Dennis Gross peel and a simple moisturizer. This treatment is the most effective skin care product I have ever used. It helped me treat my post acne scars and really even smoothed out lines that were starting to form. I was 23 when I started using it and obviously fine line weren’t the primary concern but I found that it really prevented any lines from forming the way I thought they were going to. There is no question, that this is a pricy product and a lot of the products in skin care are luxury rather than necessity. But I believe this is worth every penny and I was buying this even when I could just barely afford. I am not suggesting everyone does the same but I want to stress how much of a difference this actually makes. You can often get this as sample and you will see a difference from one treatment. I started with the regular and moved on to the extra strength as my skin built tolerance. I have never used this daily as suggested as my skin is sensitive and I don’t feel the need, but this does everything that you would expect 5 other masks to do. Definitely try the trial size before committing to the full size. When I first tried this product I had a pretty intense reaction, it does sting a bit and if you are sensitive it can make you red. I have sensitive, dry skin. I tried the mini size in this product because I was afraid my skin would act negatively, but it reacted in an extremely positive way. I actually can't believe it. I only used them every other day, and my acne scarring is reduced, and so are the lines around my nose and mouth. I have sun damage on my neck, and it even reduced the marks from that. I'm very pleasantly surprised to see my skin is even glowing. I highly recommend them. I wish the full size weren't so expensive. Overall these are really good. They're easy to use, don't require even a sink, the product comes in pads for easy application. You rub one on until it runs dry, wait 2 minutes, then do the same with the other. My skin definitely feels smoother after. But it does sting and waiting the 2 minutes was uncomfortable. I certainly don't think I could use this daily. But for a once or twice a week treatment I think it would work. I have to say, though, that the irritation was less than I expected and I was not very red at all directly after use! Pics included right after use before adding any of my normal skincare routine. Skin type: In between oily and normal (naturally), normal when consistently using retionid gels (Tretinoin gel, Adapalene gel) My brown skin is prone to dyspigmentation from inflammation, acne, injury and sunlight exposure. It’s not prone to hyperpigmentation from products tho (except in very rare cases) It also sometimes gets duller looking than usual in the winter. This stuff is a dream. Greatest ADJUNCTIVE OTC product I’ve ever used for lightening darkened skin, instantly giving me a brighter complexion, making my warm/golden undertones pop (more vivid color) and maintaining the flawless even tone I was chasing. Using this all over my face along with hydroquinone (2%-4%) cream as a spot treatment this will quickly fade the darkened spots/sections. If you use other chemical (acid, enzyme) exfoliants and/or strong retinoids (tret, taz, adapalene) you’ll probably get velvety skin that’s smoother and softer the touch. It also gets more supple and bouncy even though I’m still in my 20s and thus have a lot of bounce & smoothness to my skin already. I have been using a stabilized, ph <3, properly packaged ascorbic acid serum for years. It’s my holy grail for brightening but since my skin is resilient I can put it on after using this. These two products are the DREAM TEAM for giving my face the radiance I’ve always wanted I use this on my face for up to 20 minutes (my own dermatologist said this was fine for me considering how my skin reacts to stronger in office chemical peels) and for 7-10 minutes on my neck. I ordered my second bottle of this mask back in May, and just finished the bottle now. I've been using this as a weekly exfoliating mask, but it is not my favorite one I have ever used. It is at a pretty good price point – and I first bought this as a way to start exfoliating at home instead of just when I had the time for a facial (it was recommended to me by a friend with similar skin: sensitive, with rosacea). After finishing my first bottle; I then tried the Sunday Riley good genes (used as a rinse off 10-min mask) and PTR pumpkin enzyme exfoliating mask. I then bought this again to compare and contrast. As far as price; it is obviously the cheapest and a great option for someone on a budget. As far as how well it works; I first got this because at the time I had just cleared up a few months worth of hormonal acne (I am not acne prone, this was my first bout with acne and I did not know how to care for it, so I was left with quite a bit of PIH). I read about how the use of exfoliating can be helpful for healing PIH. In all honesty, out of the three exfoliant masks I've used, this has faded my acne scars the most – but – it triggers my rosacea – whereas the SR and PTR I could use on my whole face without causing my rosacea to go nuts. So, I started only using this on my chin and jaw, but it would still manage to affect the rosacea patches on my cheeks and part of my neck. Since I have faded my acne scars to the point that I want to stop using an 'intense' mask 1-2x's a week, I don't have plans to purchase this again – as it did what I needed it to do. If you want to fade acne scars- I definitely recommend this product (but definitely include the use of sunscreen in the morning) but – if you have rosacea, be wary because every time I used it – I had a reaction. I was a little bit skeptical when I got this in my glam bag x this month. After trying it I can report that I absolutely love this peel. It’s extremely gentle yet very effective. It has a very light scent. I applied it and it started working with foaming bubbles and a light tingle. I left it on for 15 minutes and it dried to leave a beautiful gold leaf looking mask. It wiped off with no effort at all with a warm washcloth leaving a gorgeous glow on my skin. The best part about this were the instant results without irritating my skin. Probably one of my favorite “bubbling foaming masks” I have ever tried. I got this one through IPSY and loved it. You do around 8 pumps and spread evenly over the entire face and neck. You have to move quickly as it does begin working immediately. Within seconds your pores will be bubbling with the golden peel mask. To me it’s more of a bubbling oxygen peel than a illuminating peel. The only downside is there are no instructions on the packaging. I had to look it up online. Dude this thing is like tin man level shiny gold on your face and immediately after dispensing it bubbles all over you face for a minute and then goes back to gold tin man! I purchased the Tri Acid Peel in the 10 ml size to try it out before I splashed on the full size. Since becoming thirty I have noticed a big difference in the texture of my skin and my pores have become more visible. This was my first time trying a peel like this. I was a little nervous but I am obsessed with the results. I experienced a really nice cooling sensation with no burning, tingling or redness. The cooling lasted just a couple of minutes. I rinsed with warm water after 15 and followed with a moisturizer. In the morning I noticed how soft my skin felt and the lines on my forehead were less noticable. I cannot recommend this peel enough! I’m still trying to decide how I feel about this product. I’ve used it for a while but I’m struggling to form a solid opinion. First I’ll say that I really really want to like this, I’m trying to give it a solid try because I love so many of their other products. The texture of this is amazing- Versed needs to make a moisturizer that feels like this with this consistency because it’s like butter. That being said, I can’t really tell the efficacy of this product. An AHA is basic-it’s hard to mess that up in terms of effectiveness alone. But I wake up and my skin looks worse. I can’t figure it out, I don’t get it, I just wash my face and I look fine again. It makes my pores look darker, my skin looks dull and the texture of my skin doesn’t look great the morning after (before cleansing and morning skincare). But I’m thinking I don’t know, maybe it’s supposed to do that because it’s taking all the bad off? That’s why I keep trying despite my mixed results. I use Verseds retinol (which is amazing) and I’ve been trying to do what the website suggests-which is instant resurfacing mask, break, retinol, this, retinol, this, rest, etc. And the first week I followed that schedule my skin looked the best it’s ever looked-so clear the texture was so smooth and the redness was so diminished, my acne scars were fading so well. But then my skin went wacky shortly after and got very sensitive and started overreacting to everything. I’m honestly debating whether I’m allergic to this product and that’s what’s causing this. It’s just very hard to tell because any normal allergy symptoms I just attribute to it being an AHA and that being normal. But it seems to me that everyone else finds it very gentle- and I do great with the retinol and other AHAs with no sensitivity. Despite my mixed review I would definitely recommend others give this a try. And as for me I’ll try again one more time once my skin recovers, but I think for the average person this would be a very good product. I tried this product because a friend and I were researching affordable products that we can incorporate into our skin regimen. The first thing that we usually look at are the ingredients. This is something that you can easily find here on their website. I also like that the consistency is soft and translucent and would refer to as a lightweight gel. I have found the best results when I actually take the time to gently tap the product in in an upward motion along the directed area until I feel like it completely absorbed. After using this product the under-eye area consistently feels revitalized and nourished, without being too heavy. My expectations were low having been let down from lots of big name skincare brands as of recently, but Versed delivered and blew me away. I used The Shortcut peel for the first time last night. Today my skin truly looked smoother, brighter and overall more “awake”. I have sensitive skin so I’m always extremely vigilant about ingredients, which is why I sprung for Versed – fragrance free, no mineral oil and no polyethylene glycol (which most high end skincare lines have). My skin didn’t burn, tingle or turn red. I used two pea-sized amounts of cream. I have purchased this product several times. I ALWAYS go by directions! Depending on my skin at the time of peel, I might do one or two layers or I might to the max amount. I also leave it on for different amounts of time depending on how my skin is that particular day, but again I never go over the max amount on the directions. This is a serious peel and you will love the results but you must follow the directions. My suggestion would be to go light/easy the first time or two. Make sure you do over bathroom sink & have a cold wet washcloth nearby So you can safely remove the mask When the time is up. Keep away from eyes!!!! As a 40ish woman, I have become keenly aware of the signs on aging on my skin. My primary concerns are large pores, uneven texture, congestion, and dark spots. I just purchased my second bottle of this. When I use this as directed, (it could easily have poor results if used otherwise), I see an instant reduction in pore size and texture. In the days following the “peel” I do notice a few white heads that come to the surface. It’s important to remember that bringing sebum to the surface is one of the actions of a chemical peel. It keeps further dirt and oil accumulation from occurring in the pores. This peel is not overly drying and I don’t notice overt peeling even with layered application. I do make sure to moisturize and put nutrients back into the skin immediately after. Given it’s price point, ease of use and effectiveness, it’s absolutely worth trying.
I’ve been using this product for years and have recommended this to friends and family. Use this about once a month by brushing a light layer on your face. Wait for no more than 2 minutes (depending on your skin sensitivity) and wash off completely. Do not leave for too long because this is acid and will corrode away your skin/flesh ( that’s the whole point of using this – getting rid of the layer of old skin cells). Use a nice moisturizer afterwards and apply sunscreen especially diligently for a few days afterwards. You will have beautiful skin for many years to come.

Hi, I have been using this product for years (but I purchased 60 treatments, not 30)! I love it so much, I get my mother to bring it when she comes to the Netherlands, or ship it to me (since COVID). I used to use the regular strength peel until they came out with this new formula, which I was so excited to try—> with my most recent purchase. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I used it to maintain professional microdermabrasion results from over 10 years ago as a result of acne scars on my cheeks from when I was a teenager. Now I am using it to battle fine lines and maintain even skin tone and youthful appearance. When I first got the products, I used the peel everyday for a week for a more aggressive “initial” exfoliation, and then reduced gradually to three/two times a week and now biweekly or weekly. I am 36 years old, Caucasian with some sun damage and fine lines around the eye area. I have used this peel at night and also in the daytime, however due to my age and skin, If I am planning on applying or wearing makeup that day, that the product does not mesh well with my other creams and foundations, and emphasizes my eye lines. Now, I apply it in mornings on makeup free days (with sunscreen only) but mostly at nighttime. My skin has improved a lot. Because I get such a large quantity, I usually add 3 or 5 treatments in gifts for friends/family because it is such a high quality product that is useful for all ages and skin types ( I used it in my 20’ and now my 30’s). This is a must-have! I was so hesitant to purchase it because of the price but it is so worth it. I have very dry acne-prone skin. I have been on Accutane twice and when my skin started to break out again I did not want to have to go on the third time. I decided to do a ton of research and came across Dr Whitney Bowe's skin cycling routine. I already had a perscription for tretinoin but when I first started using it I used way too much and it made my skin very sensitive. I also needed a product for exfoliation night. I notice such a difference every time I use it. It exfoliates without dehydrating my skin which is a miracle considering I live in northern BC with very harsh winters. It somehow removes all the dead skin while leaving my skin literally glowing. It works so well with my tretinoin and moisturzier – I have never had my skin look so good. If I had to choose between two products forever it would be the Dennis Gross peel and a simple moisturizer. This treatment is the most effective skin care product I have ever used. It helped me treat my post acne scars and really even smoothed out lines that were starting to form. I was 23 when I started using it and obviously fine line weren’t the primary concern but I found that it really prevented any lines from forming the way I thought they were going to. There is no question, that this is a pricy product and a lot of the products in skin care are luxury rather than necessity. But I believe this is worth every penny and I was buying this even when I could just barely afford. I am not suggesting everyone does the same but I want to stress how much of a difference this actually makes. You can often get this as sample and you will see a difference from one treatment. I started with the regular and moved on to the extra strength as my skin built tolerance. I have never used this daily as suggested as my skin is sensitive and I don’t feel the need, but this does everything that you would expect 5 other masks to do. Definitely try the trial size before committing to the full size. When I first tried this product I had a pretty intense reaction, it does sting a bit and if you are sensitive it can make you red. You should be cognitive of your skin type and what you are comfortable using but this is really amazing.MKorsh

I had been wanting to try this skincare line for a while now and finally was able to. It’s actually very gentle but yet effective. I seen immediate results just after one use. It’s not harsh or irritating whatsoever. I believe this could be for all skin types even for sensitive skin. It left my skin so clean, bright, soft, and my pores were so much smaller. It was as if I had new skin. It didn’t leave my skin oily, no greasy residue, no dry patches, nor did my skin get oily later on. I am so impressed with this that I’m switching up my whole skincare regimen. Because I have yet to really actually find products that work or that just work well with each other. I feel as if I use so many different products from so many different brands that I may not be getting the actual full effect or even using products that actually target my skincare issues in general. Plus, some products don’t go good together, they pill or they don’t really help to apply makeup nicely. So I’m cleaning out my skincare and I’m going to go with mainly one brand and a select few other items that are my HG’s. Some background first, I have super oily skin and I have been looking for a good gentle exfoliating product that helps wipe off the day from my face yet be mild enough as I use retinol at night ( makes my skin sensitive as I am just starting to use it). This product pretty much hits the spot in every way. Love the texture, the grittiness, the mild scent and the mask experience overall. I can massage the gritty texture while removing and my recently sensitive skin tolerated it pretty well. It left my skin feeling fresh, clean and dewy! I appreciate that this peel mask combines chemical and physical exfoliation into one product for a more comprehensive and effective resurfacing experience. This duo leaves my skin so soft and smooth. Any rough texture is evened out and any flakiness is sloughed away from the first use. This mask's consistency is similar to a whipped mousse and its scent is subtle and reminiscent of berries. During the five minutes that I leave it on, I feel a tingling sensation that lets me know the chemical exfoliation from the acid blend is kicking in. Before I rinse off the mask, I massage it around my face. This is the moment where I notice the physical exfoliation granules from the berry seeds and bamboo powder. They feel firm but not abrasive. I love these ingredients. I am an avid exfoliater (retinol, bha, aha, peels!) you name it and I use it. I don’t use these daily currently as I’m also using another product from this line that’s intense once a week. I just use this every few days for one minute and feel it pretty good without peeling. If you’re looking for some good peeling go to level two. I’m seeing less oil production and my usual congested spots haven’t popped up and I’m a month in. I love this and do use level two peel once a week or bi weekly, depending on what else I’m using in between. I am a regular acid user. I use these pads two to three times per week. I have seen amazing results over the past month. My main issues are clogged pores and blackheads. I have had stubborn blackheads and an abundance of clogged pores on my cheek and chin area for a few years…nothing else has worked. I tried multiple toners with 2% bha prior to this, but zero change, but I kept reading that bha was the way to go to solve my issue..so i bumped up the bha over about six months and started to see small changes…the black heads were still there, but smaller and less noticeable, fewer clogged pores. The recent change to this product with 15%bha has made an even greater difference..my skin is almost always clear and I have been getting compliments on it for the first time in my life. I leave the acid on my face for about 5 mins. I never peel, flake, or get dry. I drink 100 ounces of water a day. I also use Josie Maran argan milk. I will reorder again and again. Please peel responsibly and adjust your routine according to your skin is telling you. It took time for me to build up to using these products at this frequency. Follow up May, 2020. Still use this product religiously and never go without it. Skin is clear all the time now, even avoid hormonal breakouts. It was the answer to clogged pores. Take you time when starting acids, they are amazing!!!!! Update August, 2021…still using and now have my young teens using to control their breakouts and its been the best. They had to work up to using this level of acid. Hope they never stop making this stuff.
I've loved using chemical/acid peels for years. The only thing I've experienced with other brands is that the stinging is so bad it makes it somewhat painful. And getting out the cotton, putting on gloves, and applying it isn't very easy. These pads changes that. These remind me very much of Stridex pads. Same size, same thickness. Even the smell is similar. But they're not drying. And the solution they're soaked with goes on a little oily which is good because they don't dry the skin like other similar products. These are really easy to use. The directions say to leave the solution on for 2-5 minutes. I'm terrible at following directions (just ask my husband) and I always think "more is better" so I leave them on between one chore to the other. For example, I apply this and do my housework, or computer work, with no rush to remove it. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say the intensity of this is a 2. Very comfortable to leave on longer (for me) which I love. I love feeling this work. Because you can. When I'm done, I rinse with cool water and my skin is left clean and not too dry. I have a slight amount of rosacea and this doesn't irritate it. Frankly, I like this product even more than I anticipated. I'm a skeptic and wasn't sure what to expect but I like this product a lot. This is my 2nd or 3rd bottle of Dr Gross' Ferulic + Retinol night serum & it is by far my #1. After I clean, I rub in 3 pumps over my face & chest. As a cancer survivor, I used to get dark patches on my face that my dermatologist could not remove. I had places that were scaly, some oily & my skin just looked tired. With the quarantine, I focused on my skin & what options I had. This goes on so smooth & it feels Good and smells clean. It disappears into the skin & even glows a little. Within a month, the dark spots were gone. My skin looks Much clearer – gone are the patches of uneven texture. The wrinkles around my eyes are gone as are the small lines near my mouth. I've many ways of using it from using once to twice a week to every other day and even stopped using it for awhile and then came back to use it in hopes it would do me better. I love this product. I used products with retinol in them but this was the first I've used a product that has such a high percentage of retinol. At first, my skin was extreme dry but I was using it every day. The dryness settled down after I worked it into my skincare routine on a slower basis. I backed down to using it a few times a week. Now that my skin has gotten use to it, I use it every night. It has seriously cleared and brightened my skin. I have not used it long enough to see a real difference in the few wrinkles that I have. I do have some acne scarring and dark spots on my face and a definitely have seen an improvement in the texture of my skin. The price point is a little high for me, so I will probably try something else.emily.g

My skin is extremely sensitive. That paired with rosacea, acne, and combination skin type makes it hard for me to find products that cater to all those needs. After starting this my pores have looked better than ever. My skin looks smoother and acne has reduced. HOWEVER, if you have sensitive skin, rosacea, or dryness I would only recommend using this product once a week or every two weeks cause as "gentle" as it supposed to be it can cause irritation. Still a great product and totally worth it. Obviously it's not perfect, but it's worth giving a shot.Katzx
I have sensitive, dry skin. I tried the mini size in this product because I was afraid my skin would act negatively, but it reacted in an extremely positive way. I actually can't believe it. I only used them every other day, and my acne scarring is reduced, and so are the lines around my nose and mouth. I have sun damage on my neck, and it even reduced the marks from that. I'm very pleasantly surprised to see my skin is even glowing. I highly recommend them. I wish the full size weren't so expensive. I may buy them in the future, after I have finished up another skincare line I am using now. This was a great way to do a trial run on them.thecatsmeow
Overall these are really good. They're easy to use, don't require even a sink, the product comes in pads for easy application. You rub one on until it runs dry, wait 2 minutes, then do the same with the other. My skin definitely feels smoother after. But it does sting and waiting the 2 minutes was uncomfortable. I certainly don't think I could use this daily. But for a once or twice a week treatment I think it would work. I have to say, though, that the irritation was less than I expected and I was not very red at all directly after use! Pics included right after use before adding any of my normal skincare routine. I have a lot of exfoliators and this isn't my favorite, but if I was traveling or something I think I would use these because they're so convenient and take just a few minutes.susan.h

Holy crap. This stuff works for me when nothing else ever has. I have very sensitive skin, and a couple years ago I started breaking out a lot from stress and, well… left some scars. My forehead was bumpy and congested looking. I tried dozens of different skincare products to try and fade the scar pigmentation and clear up my forehead, but EVERYTHING would either make me break out more, or make my skin dry, or just any number of bad things. I haven't even found a moisturizer I can use daily because they all break me out. Lately I've just been using some very mild products every few days, not really making much progress but better than nothing… I still get cystic acne occasionally that leaves hyperpigmentation and just sets me back again. I got this lactic acid on recommendation for improving skin texture. I've only used it maybe a week or two, applying nightly and washing my face in the morning. My forehead bumps are… gone. I can't remember the last time I saw my skin so clear. The hyperpigmentation is noticeably faded, my skin is less congested, skin tone is evened out, and it's hydrating. And it doesn't break me out!!! I actually can't believe it. I used to get so disappointed seeing my efforts not improving anything, and would start skipping days on my routine because I knew it wouldn't help. Routine: I wash my face once a day, in the evening. Pre cleanser: Albolene, wipe before washing face Face wash: Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser Serum: THIS!! Moisturizer: Cerave moisturizing cream SPF: Babyganics 50+ I bought three different items from the ordinary, to try to find what worked for me. The glycolic acid toner left me very sensitive. Next, I tried their AHA peel (the beet colored one) and that would break me out for two days following use. I had a problem with fine lines, dry skin that wouldn't seem to leave, and therefore I couldn't seem to absorb my moisturizers– because the dead skin was blocking it. When I tried this product, I saw a difference overnight. That has never happened to me before, but now I am glad to say I have a routine that is simple, and effective. My pores appear smaller, my smile lines have been erased, and my makeup looks better than ever, since I no longer have a layer of dead skin. I don't usually leave reviews for products, but I would recommend this to ANYONE who is struggling with dry skin that is stubborn to exfoliate. HOW I USE: After washing my face at night, I let my skin air dry. I wash my hands, put a whole dropper full of this product in the palm of my hand (more is more with this I have found) and I spread it around my whole face except my under-eye area. I will leave this on for five minutes, I feel that this helps it be more effective. After that, I moisturize and go to sleep. When I wake up, I rinse and apply my spf lotion. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Every toner/chemical peel will cause sun sensitivity, so you will be going backwards if you skip this step. I bought this product since Salicylic acid was out of stock a long time. I was recommended this product by an employee in The Ordinary store in London as a substitute for SA. It didn’t work as well for my deep congestion. It brightens the complexion but that’s where the benefits end. I don’t think this product is very beneficial for people with oily or combination skin. Happy to finally got Salicylic acid in stock now. I actually learned later on that BHAs – like Salicylic acid are for deep congestion and AHAs – like lactic acid are for more gentle form of exfoliation, which the employee obviously weren’t aware off. These are my holy grail product. I used to have acne throughout my twenties and early thirties and quite a bit of scarring. My aesthetician recommended these (ultra gentle ones first). When you first use them, with regular use, you really do visibly see improvement in the texture. You need your skin to build up to them so try ultra gentle first. Over time, breakouts reduce and scars will fade, and a brighter more even complexion emerges. I have purchased these many times and love that through Sephora you get a few extra as bonus, as per pad they are something like $3-4 each. I use after washing face or showering and skip toner due to the neutralizer step, which balances the ph of the skin. Proceed with serum (nothing too active when I use these) and moisturizer. You need hydration after use. Ps. Now my skin has calmed down (no acne) and I aim to use 1-2x per week.Nites
I’ve been using this about 2 years and because it comes in packets, I always share with others! This is by far one my favorite products I have ever purchased. Aside from it being so convenient to travel with, I began using this for my rosacea and acne. Starting with the Gentle peel daily, I could not believe how it cleared my skin and helped to level out the texture and redness of my rosacea, really creating a smoothness I don’t ever remember having. Now, using the Universal peel is a standard part of my routine, 2-3x per week. This helps keep my face soft and skin clear, especially around my nasal folds. in just 3 weeks this has transformed my skin! I had a deep hormonal acne breakout that left some intense scarring behind. I can already see a major difference- I would say it’s 1/3 of the way gone.
