20 Best Facial Products For Black Skin (Jan 2023 Update)

I'm uncertain but a number of years ago, this formula used to be so effective. Now it seems a bit 'blah'. The consistency and the scent are the same, the softness gained by the ingredients is there, but the effectiveness in the long term is nothing spectacular and doesn't work as good as it did a number of years ago. It seems as if it's an overpriced 'after shave balm' now, perhaps the company reformulated or added more 'fillers' or 'slip agents' thereby diluting the 'recipe'? I have used this for almost two months now and it's not working, its a bit of a waste of money, wish I could return it. I love Jack Black products and use way to many of them! I saw someone else mention travel sizes and you responded that there is a 3oz tube. I travel almost every week for 1 to 2 nights and I am carry on only. This means that I am limited to one ziploc bag so fitting all the JB products I use, plus the rest, even in a 3oz size is simply not possible. I also try to reduce my plastic usage wherever possible, so while I kind of live off the samples (and often time orders to so I can get larger samples of things I use anyway, I hate doing that. Ideally you would have smaller, refillable containers that could be used for a variety of different products. I would actually pay good money for that. I've tried using old contact lens cases but that's not ideal because I think too much air gets in and the product degrades.Joshua

I’ve been using this moisturizer for a couple of years now and I really like it. First of all, my eyes are very sensitive and many products I’ve tried irritate them to where I have to go and wash it off. This moisturizer gives me no problems and has a nice smell. Good bang for your buck. If you buy the economy size it’s one of the cheapest per oz. at Sephora. I use it on days when I won’t be outside a lot or getting a lot of sun exposure, usually in the fall or winter. It’s really light so even with my normal skin I feel like I need a different layer of moisturizer underneath. It has a nice, light woodsy scent though I’m trying to go fragrance free. After switching from Clinique’s “even better” SPF20 moisturizer I am thoroughly impressed, and at nearly half the price (@Ulta for $28.00 vs $50.00) Jack Black is on point. This SPF20 cream comes out white and is thin, it absorbs very quickly but you only need 1 full pump to cover the face, another 1/2 pump for neck jawline. Non greasy and non-comedogenic the natural feeling formula has a subtle sage fragrance and uses natural organic products. This product is marketed for men. However, I would recommend this double duty moisturizer to girls guys whom desire an affordable higher quality SPF moisturizer (which is SUPER important to have wear daily, the sun is a war-zone on your skin!) many moisturizers do not contain SPF be sure to get one that does if you don’t normally wear sunscreen. Product is marketed as an “advanced facial treatment” I do not see a noticeable change in skin pigmentation so this is a great product for people with sensitive skin (which I have). Texture of skin is smoother once the formula is fully absorbed. I originally bought this set for my husband four years ago to encourage him to start taking better care of his skin, and he has been using the face buff and cleanser ever since! The face buff is his favorite. He says it feels like it lifts the hair and makes shaving so much easier. I have also seen a difference in the fine lines around his eyes. I bought this for my boyfriend because I wanted him to learn how to take care of his skin. It was incredibly acne prone, but has settled down significantly over the past few years. Now he has predominantly dry skin, a lot of texture, and an oily nose. I asked if he would try products if I got them for him and he said he would, so off to Ulta we went! We asked my esthetician what she would recommend for his skin concerns and ended up with this because it offers a nice array of products and is a great starter kit. He's new to skin care, so I told him I'd use all the products with him to demonstrate how to properly use them. The minute the face buff went on my face I was hooked! The granules are a decent size, but the formula is gentle enough to not irritate sensitive skin. I love the energizing effect of the menthol and there isn't an overpowering smell. It's very effective and even without a moisturizer it leaves my face feeling smooth, soft, clean, and moisturized! I look forward to using it every time I stay over to the point I'm getting a bottle all to myself! As for the face wash, it was okay but I didn't care for the smell–it's off, almost like it's gone bad but maybe it was just a bad batch. It also doesn't really lather, which is good for dry skin but the formula didn't wow me. It's a pass for me, but maybe there's another face wash from Jack Black that's better. The moisturizer is very light weight and didn't leave a residue, but I think for dry skin it isn't quite moisturising enough and would probably be better suited to oilier skin. Seeing as this was an intro to the brand, it's great for what it is. The lip balm is probably the least used product out of the kit, but it works well as a night treatment. It has a very strong mint smell and flavor, so those sensitive to either of those should probably avoid it. Using the products together as a routine has made a world of difference in his skin! He even told me how much of a difference he's noticed using the products and he's happy with the results. I think we found a great routine and from the looks (and feel) of it, it's something he can stick to. It's been about a month and I can't help but touch his face all the time now! Similar to other posts, my wife has seen some improvement in my forehead lines so I will continue usage. It does have a fairly strong, almost glue-like smell, but it does not linger. I use this with clean break moisturizer at night. I have tried usage after shaving and it does tingle a bit but it is not overbearing. I do recommend easing into the product before using 2x a day or after shaving. It did sting the first few tries.Benjamin

Hello JB welcome to my boyfriends life. This is fantastic as he wears this at night as he's so against any daytime moisturizer (unless sunscreen when he golfs) this is extremely light and he wakes with baby soft skin that he loves to show off and his face is non greasy without the tacky left over texture… Really actually no texture except baby smooth skin so I bought his more for him to travel with. Well I ran out of my stuff (prescription acne medication) the one day and I have oily acne prone skin and was going to work and def needed my daily treatment under my makeup I grabbed this and used it for the glycolic acid. Well let me tell you what. This is better than my prescription stuff my skin was FLAWLESS after my 12 hour shift!!!! No blotting, no oil whatsoever!!!! Who would have thought?! I received a 10ml sample size in a GWP and was saving up trying it for when my skin was feeling dry, dehydrated and oily all at the same time to really put it to the test. I find that in the office the combination of commuting and air conditioning leaves my skin all over the place but I’ve used this cream a couple of times and I did notice that my skin felt much more at ease throughout the day. I’ve used several higher end creams and this is up there with one of the nicest. Lovely texture, absorbs easily and provides a great surface for make up. I like this product, but my bank account hates it. LOL! As with all Sisley products, they are quite pricey but they are also quite nice. The Sisley Baumee-en Eau a la Rose Noire is a beautiful night cream. I say it is a night cream because it is quite thick, not uncomfortably so, but I just wouldn’t want to wear it under my makeup. However, I have combo skin so if you have dry skin then it may work. The scent is very luxurious, not intense perfume but natural. I am in my 40’s and have been fighting adult hormonal (premenopausal) acne and it doesn’t break me out (except the one time I did try it under makeup…it was just too heavy). There are a lot of less expensive creams out there, but if your wallet can take the hit and you want that luxury experience, Sisley is quite nice.kara.h

I am in love with this cream, I don’t want my sample tube to come to an end! 10ml has lasted me a couple of months so a little goes a long way, which might be how I justify the price to myself if I take the plunge to purchase a full size. The texture is very lightweight, velvety on the skin and absorbs very quickly – no greasy residue at all. I think it’s perfect for summer and I’ve had no issues layering with SPF and make up. I think It bye bye dark spot works for me. I got few dark spots after I gave birth to my second daughter. Therefore I started using Kiehls dark spot. That took me at least 2 bottles to start working on my skin and then I added it to my collection. I came across IT dark spot when I was at Ulta. Since the price is really reasonable, I bought a 1oz bottle to try. The texture of this serum is more watery than K brand. It has a nice scent but does not last long. Normally after I finish applying my whole face the scent has already gone. It is easy to apply and absorbs well. I usually put the serum on my dark spots area only and massage the area for couple seconds each day. After finishing the whole bottle, I did notice my dark spots are lighter than before. As a person working in beauty, I’m pleasantly surprised with the potency! I love this serum! It reminds me a bit of CE Ferulic from Skinceuticals, just way cheaper lol. People are complaining it’s watery but what they don’t realize is that silicones and fillers in other products makes serums hydrating or thicker in texture, those things actually lower the effectiveness in vitamin c but this product doesn’t have those ingredients inside.

I literally see a difference in my skin in one use. It’s definitely an active vitamin c, it stings a bit, not unbearable though. I see a difference in hyperpigmentation if I use after I exfoliate at night and use spf during the day (spf is non-negotiable if you want to get rid of dark spots).

So I was looking in the mirror in the car just before a meeting and thought to myself oh Lordy, my pores are so visible so before the meeting I ordered this, I’ll admit I didn’t do much research I just read the description on here and thought right I’ll give it a go. Was in a bit of rush, but thought I need to try something!!! Went to my meeting and went home, never give it another thought it until it arrived. Waited until the night cleansed my face and used as directed no stinging no nothing really went to bed, repeated it for a couple of days and OMG this evening noticed my skin, it’s so much cleaner looking, it has caused a few spots but I think that’s because it’s riding my skin of all the blocked pores, even with these few spots my skin looks better. So would I recommend? Absolutely I would, I’m not even into the two weeks as they say noticeable difference by then and I’m already impressed. I'm a POC who gets hyperpigmentation almost anytime I have a significant breakout. I haven't seen results from niacinamide in the past, but I'd tried and liked a few FAB products, so I gave this a try when it popped up as an option for my Ipsy bag. Some spots that would normally take months to fade have noticeably diminished in just a few weeks of use twice daily (and I'm not someone who does a great job of remembering every time, either). I did break out a little when I first started using it (common with niacinamide from what I've heard). The pigmentation from that outbreak is much less than I usually get. I purchased this because I had some dark acne scars and I was hoping that it would help to heal my post breakout skin. It has worked wonders! It has been almost a month and I’ve seen a significant improvement. I love that it is really healing and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. Been using this for about 1 month now, and I can say it has improved my hyper pigmentation and some sun spots, but just barely. I've seen some improvement, but nothing major. Niacinamide and Licorice Root are the two star ingredients here, and I think with continued use, you might see some results. My beef with this product is mostly with the packaging and the amount of product. The dropper just isn't great. When you first start using it, there's enough product in there for the dropper, but once you use more of it, it becomes harder to suction the product. The next thing is the lid. Everytime you place the dropper back, product is caught in the small opening and gets oozzed on the side. It goes to waste when there's already little of this product to being with. I've been scooping the dropper before I place it back, but sometimes I wonder if I'm contaminating the dropper. Overall, decent formulation, horrible packaging. The longer I use this product the more of a difference I can see in my skin. This is my third bottle! I will say that it works much better at preventing breakouts than it does on clearing them. I have not been successful when using it as a spot treatment (I use a clay mask at night instead for spot treatments). Definitely don't use too much! During the day I usually add one drop to my moisturizer along with one drop of the clogged pores serum and this ritual has officially put a halt to my maskne! At night I do pretty much the same thing except I use a heavier moisturizer and I swap out the clogged pores serum for a moisturizing serum. Who would have thought an oil could be such a cure for acne . Having always relied on salicylic acid , acne patches , and niacinamide for acne this was a change of pace for me . I get hormonal acne , the cysts around the chin area every time of the month —there’s no way around it . Usually I’m pretty clear for the most part but for that time of the month . This serum has been my holy grail when it comes to clearing up any random pimples that show up on my face. I do not suffer from regular acne, but I will occasionally have a nasty pimple that takes weeks to heal. Heavy duty topical acne moisturizers always dry out my skin so bad, leaving a patch of flaky skin that ends up being worse than the pimple itself was. But this serum I can mix into my regular facial moisturizers and get a good all over coverage that isn’t too harsh. If I do need more of a zoned in treatment, I can place a drop of this I’m straight onto the zit at night and by morning it’s mostly gone. I could also use this pimple serum during my pregnancy! I should have written this review a long time ago, but here it is. My son was struggling with acne that covered most of his face. We went to see a dermatologist, and of course, they recommended and put him on a certain medication that starts with the letter A( that the filter will not allow me to type in this review. ) After 2 months of seeing what that medication was doing to my son (please research warnings/side effects before putting your child on this) I stopped the medication and searched for a new skin care line to try. This is my favorite moisturizer and I have been using it exclusively for quite a while now. Tried many others from the low end to the high end. I'm glad I found something so I don't have to spend my time looking any more. Light, non-sticky feel, not visible after application. I have oily and acne prone skin.. I use curology (highly recommend) and drunk elephant vitamin C serum. For a few good months I had really bad hormonal acne and thanks to the two products above my skin cleared up and my scars are close to gone. I have combination skin that's very sensitive and reactive. I seriously dislike anything heavy and oily on my face, which is how my Clinique moisturizer was making me feel. Onto my 2nd jar. Such a nice texture, not a gel or cream as such. Sinks into skin incredibly quickly with no irritation. I have only ever felt minor tingling around my mouth/nose after tretinoin use had caused peeling and extreme sensitivity. But I believe this was more likely down to the application than the product itself. Really helps with calming down redness and evening skin tone. If you're very dry I would recommend applying this under a heavier moisturiser at night. No issues with day time use when SPF is applied on top. I would avoid using this during the same routine as any strong acids, due to the peptide content. Peptides perform best at a higher more neutral PH. Its consistency seemed a bit strange at first, slimy and thinner than standard creams. When applied it glides on the skin and at first I thought it would form a film on the skin and not absorb, but after 2 minutes the cream absorbed completely without leaving any greasy residue traces. My skin is mixed and after applying the cream it feels very good, hydrated, soft and fresh. It doesn't weigh it down in any way and it doesn't cause shine on the oilier areas in the T-zone. With long-term use, I liked the cream even more, for me it is one of the best I have used. I love this product, it isn't oily, gooey, or tacky feeling. It is slightly heavier but it means I don't have to use a lot on my skin. My skin in the winter is slightly drier and agitated and this does a good job locking the moisture in for the day. It gives me a soft glowy finish and even once fully absorbed, my skin feels softer, hydrated (no more patchy dry skin), and it just feels healthy. I’ve been using this for over 5 years. I’m in my 40s and still had adult acne, and this has cleared up my skin like nothing else I’ve used. The smell doesn’t bother me like other reviewers, it smells good to me. I love the feeling of this creamy scrub, and my skin never feels dry or taught, it feels healthy and normal. My only complaints are they recently raised their price and the label on this is horrible. I keep this in my shower but out of direct water contact and the label still starts to flake off and there’s little black pieces from the label all over my shower. This little guy is actually a pretty decent exfoliator. The African black soap line is a pretty good line, especially for problematic skin. I usually don't use drugstore due to ingredients (read your labels) but African black soap is a natural remedy for problematic skin. This exfoliator should be used no more than 3 times a week. Over exfoliating can cause irritation and more acne. I have the African black soap, This exfoliator, and the mask, and when used all together consistently, you will get more balanced skin. Though this doesn't "cure" acne, it will help prevent more acne from appearing. I use this exfoliator about twice a week with my other skincare (Pixi, Mario Bedoscu) and my skin has never been in better condition, and I'm 28. If your looking for something to balance your skin, and prevent acne, this little guy is a good choice. If your looking for all your acne to go away, this will probably not be enough. Read ingredients carefully when purchasing skincare people. Skincare brands purposely put ingredients like (Mineral oil, dimethicone) which block pores in their skincare to cause more irritation, hence forcing you to purchase more. If skincare brands made miracle skincare products, they would go out of business. Coming from an oily, 28 year old with HUGE pores, and closed comedones (flesh colored bumps under the skin) your best bet is to watch what your putting on your face. I wanted to like this a lot since it’s “natural” and has raving reviews, but it just wasn’t for me. Skin always feels so soft after each use, but it also feels like there is a layer of some kind on the skin. Maybe it’s the Shea butter or Coconut? That’s another thing, I don’t like coconut on my face as it’s highly comedogenic! I don’t like anything that clogs pores. I have enough issues with my pores. This is a gentle exfoliant. So I used this product for 3 weeks. The first week I used it every 2 days because my skin is combination oily and dehydrated. Sure enough I peeled around my nostrils and a little dry on my cheeks. I skipped about 5 days during week 2 and on week 3 decided to use it on Sunday night and Thursday night and I must say I noticed my skin looked brighter and little clearer. So I have combination skin and occasionally get break outs during that time of the month but have always had blackheads on my nose and chin area! I usually use the ordinary’s peeling solution and Paula’s choice BHA liquid exfoliant and love them but I gave this a try! I tried this a few times a week for a month and I actually noticed a difference after the first few times of use! The blackheads and pores on my nose and chin area seemed less noticeable, of course the serum didn’t magically make them go away but it definitely did help to minimize the look of them on my face when I didn’t have makeup on. I primarily used it on my nose and chin because that’s where I had the problem areas I wanted to fix. I do have really sensitive skin, however I didn’t break out or have any skin irritation or redness after using this. The serum itself doesn’t really have any strong odor in my opinion and it doesn’t leave you feeling sticky at all. I've been using this about 4-5 nights a week since I got it and I can't really notice any difference yet in terms of dark spots, acne and whatnot. Honestly I do love Perricone MD products in general. This definitely has instant tightening noted with its application as you apply a small amount in an upward direction and let dry. I feel it tightening as it dries. I bought this for my neck as it is losing collagen and firmness and just needed some serious help. After each use my neck has visible improvements. I use it twice a day and follow with my other favorite moisturizer products after I let it completely dry. The smell is not so good and that may steer a lot of people away. My only recommendation is to add some sort of scent that could improve the product. It is packed with essentials. It improves fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, dullness , uneven skin texture, and loss of firmness. The product is backed with clinical results showing in their study 100% reduction in fine lines wrinkles and pores!! 85% reported improved elasticity and skin tone. These results are from their published study. It is cruelty free,fragrance free, and Vegan. So far I give it 5 stars and I’m a skin care snob to say the least. If you don’t know what DMAE is you should look it up. It’s a major hitting ingredient that lifts sagging skin and plumps it up. It does more but you need to google to read all the great things it does. It has antioxidants and nutrients like Kukui nut seed oil that moisturizes without leaving you greasy and is easily absorbed into the skin. Fun fact – Kukui nut has been used in Hawaii for centuries. I’d recommend you give it a try. I just started using it about two months ago. I’ve been wanting to but I had to finish other creams before I let myself buy it.ronda.l

This is my holy grail moisturizer! I use it alone in the morning and in addition to a deep moisturizer and 2 serums at night. I have bought 6 jars; as I get halfway through one, I buy another. I will not be without this cream. It completely changed my skin. I do not break out, my pores have shrunk, I do not get flakey, and my old acne scars from my teens and early twenties have faded significantly. Even my darkened eyelids from years of wearing eyeshadow have even lightened! I have combination skin that is starting to show fine lines in my early 40s. I love this cream so much that it has made me curious about Perricone's other products, a few of which I have bought and loved including the entire Cold Plasma line. This serum has been fantastic for my combination skin. It goes on really well does not feel tacky or greasy and after a few weeks my skin is feeling smoother and looking brighter. If you’re trying to get those stubborn wrinkles disappear, then this is the way to go. On application, you can already feel the serum hydrating you skin. Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution is a treatment for discoloration and dark spots. It can also help visibly correct uneven skin tone and help the appearance of any skin texture. It doesn't have an overpowering scent , rather it has a lovely light airy floral scent which was very nice. I loved how smooth and silky the solution felt as soon as it touched my face! I have sensitive skin and braced myself for any light discomfort or irritation that most treatments of the same kind I have tried in the past usually gave me. I was pleasantly surprised that there was not a moment of discomfort and how gentle it was! It absorbed quite quickly but still left a lingering smooth feeling on my skin. I used this product for well over a week and am still using it, and so far not only has it delivered on its promises of clearing up dark spots and uneven skin tone but my acne I was experiencing cleared up, which was definitely the icing on the correcting treatment cake! In comparison, the other treatments I have tried in the past were too harsh on my skin, has an overpowering scent that never dissipated, made my complexion look ruddy, and definitely didn't have the bonus of clearing up my acne, let alone my dark spots and uneven tone! So, I've been using this for 12 weeks now – in the morning and at night before bed – may have done 1x a day here and there – but this is a fantastic product.. I grew up in the 80's-90's so we were always in the sun with our baby oil and tin foil, destroying our skin and I have the dark spots to show for it now. I've been using a retinol for a couple of years and while it helps, it hasn't helped as much as this with lightening these spots – I don't expect miracles and for them to be gone over night – or ever, to be honest…but to have them lightened up as much as they have, is all I can ask. I can wear this under make-up w/o an issue at all and it pairs fine with my other products that I use in my routine. I will continue to use this because I am very happy with the results thus far. I did take a before picture – but of course, I can't find it! But here is how it looks today without any makeup or filters to blur it all out. It's not perfect, but, it's definitely lightened and some of the smaller ones are gone completely. The most important thing is that you'll need to be consistent…its not going to work if you aren't. I love this cream, it's light but very hydrating. It sinks in beautifully and leaves your skin plump and feeling amazing. I had always thought the richer the better with a cream and then wondered why I would get blocked pores. I have oily skin and this is perfect, even now going into winter. My skin has completely transformed since I went for a facial at a Sturm spa and they recommended products to me and told me to lay off the acids. They are honestly the first products I have ever tried that deliver amazing results, I am a total convert. I use this, the hyaluronic serum, the night serum and the enzyme wash. I have been using Dr. Sturm’s original eye cream for over a year, and love the lightweight texture and pure formula that never has caused problems for my very my sensitive eyes. With this new anti-aging Sturm eye cream, I wanted the assurance of having a non – reactive cream that also delivered more benefits for my dark circles and puffiness. The new cream is just as non – stinging, is just as gentle to the eyes as DrSturm’s original. It is not as lightweight, but is quickly absorbed and feels as refreshing as the original. After a month of use, I think my dark circles and puffiness are somewhat better, my upper lids look a little lifted (if I’m not too tired). The biggest difference is that my fine ( and not so fine) lines have benefitted greatly from the extra hydration. There is a smoothness that makes concealer application much easier. I know there is no such thing as a magic eye cream. Dr Sturm delivered on her promise of having anti-aging properties in a formula that did not inflame the very sensitive tissue around my eyes. I used an entire jar of this over a 6 month period and was disappointed and I can't recommend it: Cons: – Does not actually treat or prevent dark circles. Instead the cream has a light reflecting quality that works as a very temporary improvement in dark circles (like as in slightly less dark for about 30 minutes). – No improvement in my 35 year old fine lines around the eye area. – Not moisturizing enough. – Product did not seem to last throughout the day. – Tended to clog the pores in the under eye area. – Price is too high for lack of performance. Pros: – Pretty container – Lasted 6 months – Did not sting my eyes Instead of buying this product again I have switched to using my retinal around the under eye and layering with Susanne Kaufmann eye cream (only $50). I’ve only recently incorporated a facial oil into my routine, usually by mixing a few drops into my moisturiser. Remembered I had a small sample of the Sisley-Paris Black Rose Precious Face Oil so decided to try it. Oh…my…word!!! I used it in the mornings and my face felt hydrated throughout the day – not oily – just wonderfully soft. There is a slight floral rose scent but it isn’t strong and it didn’t really register with me. Without a doubt this is an expensive facial oil and as a result I am left in two minds. If I wanted to, I probably could afford it. I only used 2/3 drops at a time so it should last me a while. But is it WORTH it? In the short time I’ve used it, it has had greater impact than anything else I’ve used. It is soothing, wonderfully hydrating and leaves my skin radiant. I’m always nervous of oils but this one feels light and not oily. I wish I had a slightly bigger sample to use for a slightly longer period of time before deciding to fork out for a full size. This is one of Sisley's 'award winners' and something I've been meaning to try for some time. Unlike most facial oils on the market I didn't find this one to be overly rich or greasy, it was light enough for my skin type so long as I was sure to use no more than 1 drop at a time. The instructions state to use AM or PM 3-7 drops, although I found for my skin type that just 1 drop was sufficient, just on a night time, a couple of minutes prior to applying my moisturizer and straight after toner. The website description does state that "After 4 weeks wrinkles and fine lines are visibly reduced" although I have to admit I didn't notice any difference in the appearance of fine lines (thankfully don't have any wrinkles just yet!) despite using for 4 weeks and 2 days exactly before my sample size was used up. I did detect a radiance and a softer complexion but that's no biggie for me as I have plenty of products at a much lower price point that can achieve exactly the same. I also thought it would be interesting to see if it made a difference to pores in any way but I can't say I did notice any difference, good or bad. I have to admit that it smells lovely – completely natural, as are the ingredients which isn't always the case with Sisley products if you look closely enough. I was introduced to Black Rose face oil a number of years ago and it soon became one of my 'must have' products. It is expensive but you need so little of it that it becomes cost effective, I usually use one pot a year. I used it morning and evening during the winter and just evenings other times of the year when I feel my skin needs that extra boost. Like most women of my age the skin becomes a little drier and, as I love being outside, it needs a good product to stop the skin drying out. Received this as a sample size in bundle product. Within 8 hours after use (applied at night) my face was bright red, inflamed, swollen and beginning to blister. Within 36 hours my face was covered in tiny whiteheads (allergic contact dermatitis) and multiple areas were blistering. Took around 5 days to clear up, and my skin was incredibly dry, rough and sensitive for a couple weeks after. I'm very careful with new products, and didn't use it until about 5 days after my last application of any treatment serums. By far one of the worst experiences I've ever had. My skin had an adverse reaction to this product. Severe acne breakout with some scarring. At first I thought it was something else I was using, so after the reaction mostly subsided I tried it again. This time I was sure not to use anything else new or a possible skin irritant. It was this product! Very disappointing. So much I love about this product. My skin is soft, hydrated, smooth, and bouncy. I this is only my first bottle and I already feel the difference in my skins hydration, and wake up with lovely dewy skin. For reference: I have sensitive skin, and had no adverse reaction. My SkinCeuticals morning routine is as follows: First, I cleanse alternating with Glycolic Renewal Cleanser Gel, and twice a week with Micro Exfoliating Scrub, next I tone with REN Daily Steady Glow AHA Lotion Tonique , I then apply CE Ferulic, follow with this amazing HA intensifier, next B5 gel, AGE Eye Complex, then Triple Lipid Restore, and last SPF 50 Physical Fusion UV Defense Sunscreen. I am complimented all the time on how great my skin looks! Evening Routine: Apply cleanser to my PMD tool and massage face for 3-5min, really getting all makeup off, next I apply this terrific product Resveratrol BE, B5 gel, followed by Triple Lipid Restore moisturizer. You can add in the Neck repair at this time as well. Don’t forget your lips! I use Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. Lastly, I sleep on my SLIP pure silk pillowcase because I sure don’t want all my time and money spent on these fine products sinking into a cotton pillowcase! Note: Twice a month (2-3days a week alternating days) I add in Retinol 1.0 in the evening. This stuff is strong and it will tighten, and make you feel a little dry, and peel slightly. Use generously your moisturizing products mentioned above, and it really helps! But the results are no joke, AMAZING! If you don’t use Retinol, maybe try working your way up to this strength. But for me, I want the maximum benefits straight away! The very last thing I’ll mention is that I keep all my skin products except for the sunscreen in the fridge. Again, I want to help keep these expensive products fresh, and I find the cooling effect feels great on my skin. Hope this review was helpful. I love HaruHaru means "day by day" and there is nothing bad I have to say about this brand. Also before I say anything more can we talk about this packaging! Its like a little fidget I love holding it but it was made to replicate a rice bran! I love the ingredients I love the formulation. All of the products are recyclable and they use soy ink to print there packaging. I also adore that this company listens to their customers and want to better themselves and their company. This cream is best for normal to oily skin and definitely not for sensitive. I feel deep hydration after using it but it is not enough for my dry spots ( I have combination skin). For my oily forehead is great, non greasy and quickly absorbing. Skin feels smooth. Minus one star becouse of it's scent – very very strong lavender scent.
