I love everything about this product. I've always had difficulties with using exfoliating scrubs and masks because many are too thick, gritty and abrasive, or the contrary–too weak and ineffectual. This product is just the right amount of texture to provide a smooth polish and it also hydrates and gives my 45 year old skin a smooth glow. It also rinses off quickly and cleanly without leaving any residue or particles. I was really amazed to notice such a visible result the first time I used it. I don't typically follow a regimented facial routine, so I end up using it whenever I notice my skin needs a brightening and smoothing polish, and it always delivers. Its a great value because I only need a tiny dab for it to perfectly distribute. And its much cheaper than getting a professional facial with the same result. I have purchased this for the first time, having used lots of Mario Badescu products for quite a while now. I like a nice, effective but gentle exfoliator for my skin, particular around areas where I am prone to the occasional ingrown hair which can cause the odd breakout. This product is lovely – smells fresh, has a good size granual that feels natural and gives a lovely 'deep cleanse' feel to my skin. I just use it a couple times a week, and I can see that it takes off any surface dryness and my face feels brighter and clearer after use. You don't need to use much. I follow this with the MB Aloe Toner which is also very gentle and soothing. I will continue using this product, I'm very happy with it after about 3 weeks use so far.Chelebelle14

I'm not very good at using scrubs on my face because usually when I use one, I tend to break out! Normally I never break out, but i'm still scared of it happening so I decided to give Garnier SkinActive Deep Pore Exfoliating Scrub a try and see how my face reacts to it and I how I feel after using it. The first thing I loved about this scrub was that it was naturally derived. Second was when using it, the scrub was not harsh on my face. My face is very sensitive and with other scrubs my face gets very tense because it feels so rough. This scrub doesn't feel that way which my face is very happy about. Another thing I liked about this scrub is made with green tea, I mean who doesn't love green tea as it has so many great benefits for your health, so I was ecstatic for how the green tea will affect my face. And finally the last and most important thing that I loved about this scrub is that it actually worked! My face does feel smoother after using this scrub a couple of times, I do notice a reduction of the appearance of pores and it really is effective on my sensitive skin. So long story short, if you are vegan or just want to use more natural products, have sensitive skin, or ultimately want your face to look and feel better then this scrub is for you! Like i said before this product is made with natural ingredients and is a vegan formula so there are no animal ingredients in it, it does work well for sensitive skin, and it really does make my skin feel and look better. The first thing I loved about this product was how natural it is. I compared the back of the product to similar ones I used immediately noticed a shorter list of ingredients. Admittedly, when I first went to use the product, the texture wasn't what I expected. Though I was doubtful that I would really like it, I got a pleasant surprise. Normally, I prefer to have a lot of exfoliating texture to the face wash I use, however after about 10 days of using this product I noticed my usual grainy texture preference may not be necessary. I was still able to get the kind of results I wanted without the rough texture. It totally changed my conception of what you need to achieve the fresh and deep clean look. I really enjoyed the fresh green tea scent of this product and the overall result. This product really helped to lower the amount of oil I see mid day. The one thing I think would do well to improve the overall look of my skin while using this, is to use the moisturizer specific to this line. I would love to try that with it, my guess is it would bring my love it attitude to a have to have it. Overall, excellent product, I will be looking for this line in the stores now! I have been using Garnier Green Tea Deep Pore Facial Cleanser for about a week. When I first started using the product, I wet my face as described in the instructions and then lathered with the gel cleanser. The trouble with doing this is that the first ingredient in the gel cleanser is water. This indicates that the project has a large water content. Instead of creating a lather, the project slid right off my face and down the drain. To remedy this I have started applying the gel cleanser directly to my face prior to wetting my face. I then rub the cleanser into my skin, which creates a nice lather. Then I rinse the product off. My overall impressions of Garnier Green Tea Deep Pore Facial Cleanser are mixed. The smell of the product is great. The fact that I can get a product made from natural ingredients to lather is amazing. The fact the product is not made from harsh chemical ingredients is another plus. The down side is, the cleanser does not take my make-up off. Even after rubbing the cleanser into my skin, I still have eye make-up on. Last night I double washed my face and my eye makeup (including shadow) was still present. Overall, I like the product. It smells great, leaves my skin supple and not dry but it needs a bit more cleansing power.HP007

I had hopes….. opened the tube and got ready to shower. Smells alright, and the cooling is good a nice change to my routine. But dang if it doesn’t feel like I’m washing a years worth of butter, bacon grease, and brisket drippings off of my face. The wash is more hydrophobic than all that oil BP poured into the Gulf, probably due to all the oils they poured into this. Also why doesn’t it lather…..? Oh yeah, duck fat doesn’t lather it sticks to the steak you are searing. I really thought I was onto something finding this at HEB, but what a let down. I bought this because I couldn't find the black tube formula. It smelled unpleasantly sharp and left me with small cuts. I liked the old formula because it gave me a really smooth shave and had a nice scent, but this stuff smells like someone mixed Pine-Sol and Everclear. Plus it gives a rotten shave. I can't find the black-tube formula anymore, so it looks like I'll use Cremo until I can find a better replacement.One Red Shoe

The old formula was definitely better, but the new formula seemed okay at first. However, then I bought a couple bottles online and when they were delivered, the cream seemed "grainy," almost as if they added some kind of exfoliating bead to the cream, which makes no sense – it only clogs up my razor. So I complained and they sent me two complimentary coupons, but none of the stores in the area carry the product and the coupons didn't work online. Loved it!!! Buying it my third time!!! It's gentle and smells delicious. It's a gel consistency with small beads that I love. It's gentle on sensitive skin and a small amount goes a long way. Ok, so this is sad for me to write because I really love a lot of the ingredients in this and the consistency. It preformed well for me and I loved the scent without it being a fragrance. I figured essential oils, natural right. Well with continues use I started to develop really itch areas around my outer eye (and no I wasn't washing my eyes with this but it will overlap by brows when rinsing). So I changed my eye cream, my toner, I changed everything except this. The problem continued… It wasn't until I started researching deeper that I realized my issue was the essential oils. Before i started using this i never had a problem with acne or having consistent pimples. I bought this, used it, and I'll admit, my skin felt so clean after each, use but over time the super intense grit of the exfoliant TORE up my skin. It was like i was getting open wounds from it because it was so gritty and sharp. Unbelievable scrub. So gentle to my face, the ingredients are super nutrients I feel my skin softer after each used. Sometimes I even leave it on after scrub and treat it like a masks. I used to buy the apricot scrubs from the drugstore/big box stores (I think we all know the brand) but as I've gotten older I've found that those hard little walnut shell exfoliants are a bit too rough on my 42 year old skin. So then I started using an electric face brush which is nice, but I've missed having a scrub. I got a sample of a scrub I really liked from a high-end makeup store but the price was Ridiculous–$75 for 4.2 oz, $105 for 8 oz. HA! But it WAS nice stuff. And then–I discovered this lemon sugar scrub on Vitacost and gave it a try. It feels just like the crazy expensive one I liked, and has a yummy lemony smell too. Also Andalou Naturals is a cruelty-free brand and that is a must for me. I feel like this has a built in "timer" because after you've scrubbed and it's time to rinse, the sugar has dissolved. Sometimes with these exfoliants the scrubby bits are kind of swimming in the cream and you feel like you're having to chase them around your face, but not this one. The consistency is just right. This must be my 5th repurchase. I haven't been able to find a better sugar scrub than this one. It's gentle yet got enough grit to give that super clean feeling. Really helps with whiteheads and getting rid of general dead skin and 'bits' of skin residue especially around the nose and chin area. You feel lovely and refreshed, not tight after. Quality glass packaging too, I've accidentally dropped it on the tiled floor once and it didn't smash. I've tried the normal and panned that one. It was good, I'd say a toned down version of the ordinary glycolic solution. It did make my skin even and smooth. The oily skin one with citric acid really softens my blackheads. A lot of times I will soak cotton pads and place them on my t zone- then go in with my sonic cleanser and the blackheads soften and pop right out. Something about the citric acid in this one (the blue bottle didn't have that). It does burn and sometimes makes my next product or makeup get that funky gross sour smell. I will not be RP. I think this is a great beginner product for those that want exfoliation and a bit of hydration. When you want to step it up go to glow recipe toner. Or if you want to become a skin pro go to tarte knockout tingling treatment, biologique recherche p50. Overall it softens sebum, evens skin tone, hydrates, and exfoliates. i’ve tried the ordinary’s peeling solution in the past and it is AMAZING. but lately i just feel like toning down to a gentler exfoliant so i just randomly picked one from iherb. honestly neutrogena is kind of a hit or miss, but i would say this is actually good. the size is actually pretty small but it can last quite long cuz you don’t actually need a lot. i can feel the sting on my skin when i’m using so i guess it’s working? will definitely repurchase again if they’re on sales! just remember to moisturise your face well and follow up with a hydrating mask and most importantly DO NOT SKIP sunscreen, otherwise it would just dry out your skin. consistency is the key!iHerb Customer

So I've been using the Neutrogena Skin Perfecting Daily Liquid Exfoliant for Oily Skin for about a week now and I must say it's a winner. I literally have no complaints. It's not my main staple but it very well could be soon. I usually use a physical exfoliant but I've been using this daily, up to 2x and l really like how it's treating my skin so far. It's not drying which is AWESOME, a lot of products for oily skin are and my skin gets even oilier after. I don't know why but the bottle design is the on point and I love it. It's simple to apply and use in general. There's no scent that I noticed and minimal stinging if used on broken skin. I am surprised at how easily I incorporated this into my daily routine. My skin is noticeably clearer, no irritation, drying or sensitivity and yeah I'd just say I am a fan. When I got the Bioré® Rose Quartz + Charcoal Gentle Pore Refining Scrub I immediately smelled it because I was curious. It smelled so good yet gentle and nothing too overwhelming unlike other products. This is perfect for me since I don’t like putting overwhelmingly scented products on my face. I wet my face and put a quarter sized amount on my hand. The product has a shimmery look to it— it is so pretty. It doesn’t have visible beads and it is not rough at all, just a little gritty, when I started applying to my face. This makes me think that maybe I can use this everyday but package says only to use it 2-3 times a week. As I was scrubbing my face I was surprised to get a minty tingle. I've been using the product for about a week. It's hard to tell how much the product does for me, my face is already relatively clear. I use it with the lotion and I like feeling I get after washing and moisturizing. The wash itself doesn't dry my skin out. The only gripe I would make about this product is that there doesn't seem to be enough grit to make this an effective scrub. The current bottle I'm using came open in the package with some spillage (which was promptly replaced by great customer service), but it's hard to believe that the scrubbers disproportionately spilled from the bottle versus the solution. I'll find out once I open the replacement if it is just a problem with this particular bottle. In fairness I love almost anything Zum. That said this is a good face scrub, it's very gentle, smells good and if you accidentally get it in your mouth it's just sweet not bitter or soapy. I used both this and the cleanser for the first time together, for 2 nights in a row, and ended up having an adverse reaction. It took 1.5 weeks for my face and skin to get back to normal. Something in one or both of them triggered a bad reaction (face puffed up and after that finally came down after 4-5 days, then skin had to scale and peel). So I would not recommend.Mary V.

I could tell after the first time that this scrub is just what I was hoping for. It is not harsh but it does exfoliate and it doesn't dry out the skin. My skin actually felt soft. Of course it smells great like the other mineral fusion products I've used. I don't think I need to use it everyday but i will definitely be using this product for years to come. My skin is dry acne prone sensitive. Since I started using mineral fusion face washes and face creams my skin has improved. I would get the occasional breakout, especially along the jawline. This seems to be helping with that. I can't use this daily as it makes my skin feel dry and tight after a few days of continuous use. It is still winter here, and is possible this won't happen during the summer months. I’ve been using this for over 5 years. I’m in my 40s and still had adult acne, and this has cleared up my skin like nothing else I’ve used. The smell doesn’t bother me like other reviewers, it smells good to me. I love the feeling of this creamy scrub, and my skin never feels dry or taught, it feels healthy and normal. My only complaints are they recently raised their price and the label on this is horrible. I keep this in my shower but out of direct water contact and the label still starts to flake off and there’s little black pieces from the label all over my shower. This little guy is actually a pretty decent exfoliator. The African black soap line is a pretty good line, especially for problematic skin. I usually don't use drugstore due to ingredients (read your labels) but African black soap is a natural remedy for problematic skin. This exfoliator should be used no more than 3 times a week. Over exfoliating can cause irritation and more acne. I have the African black soap, This exfoliator, and the mask, and when used all together consistently, you will get more balanced skin. Though this doesn't "cure" acne, it will help prevent more acne from appearing. I use this exfoliator about twice a week with my other skincare (Pixi, Mario Bedoscu) and my skin has never been in better condition, and I'm 28. If your looking for something to balance your skin, and prevent acne, this little guy is a good choice. If your looking for all your acne to go away, this will probably not be enough. Read ingredients carefully when purchasing skincare people. Skincare brands purposely put ingredients like (Mineral oil, dimethicone) which block pores in their skincare to cause more irritation, hence forcing you to purchase more. If skincare brands made miracle skincare products, they would go out of business. Coming from an oily, 28 year old with HUGE pores, and closed comedones (flesh colored bumps under the skin) your best bet is to watch what your putting on your face. Now that I look at ingredients, my face has never looked better, almost a clear face, and I've never had a clear face. When you pay attention to ingredients, it does a world of good. I wanted to like this a lot since it’s “natural” and has raving reviews, but it just wasn’t for me. Skin always feels so soft after each use, but it also feels like there is a layer of some kind on the skin. Maybe it’s the Shea butter or Coconut? That’s another thing, I don’t like coconut on my face as it’s highly comedogenic! I don’t like anything that clogs pores. I have enough issues with my pores. This is a gentle exfoliant. This is my favorite scrub and I wish it wasn’t discontinued. I have tried things similar and it’s not the same. I like the sugar like crystals in this that are gentle in my skin but still exfoliate. I love a good exfoliating scrub to use a few times a week. I was excited to try the Lemon Zesty Scrub and hoping to incorporate it into my skincare regiment. However I was very disappointed with this product. It is not a scrub, it has a few "micro-scrubbies", but not enough to give a good exfoliation. It is thick and feels more like a cleansing gel. Okay, so here's the deal. First of all, this stuff smells amazing, like seriously good. However, facial scrubs are the WORST thing you can do for your face. While you should be exfoliating your face, physical exfoliators such as the micro beads in this create micro tears in your skin!!! Your facial skin is not strong enough to withstand beads tearing away at it! Chemical exfoliators such as the toner (which doesn't say but most likely has some sort of chemical exfoliator in it) will be perfectly effective in pulling dead skin away and extracting impurities. However, the rest of your body can use these as far as I know. And unless it breaks me out or proves to be a horrible idea, I'm going to use the scrub on my chest when I do get acne, and honestly I'm down to try using it on my legs to exfoliate before I shave. So this stuff smells great, and will strongly exfoliate you, so if that's what you're looking for, go for it! It will work exactly like you want it to! (I got this in a voxbox)ash.h

This product isn’t going to offer intense exfoliation, but instead has a clearly, lotion-like consistency with some strawberry seeds in the mix. It smells lovely and natural when you first buy it and open it, but it goes bad and doesn’t smell good if you open it, but don’t use it up within a month, or so. The problem is that it is in a jar that you have to dip into to get the product, so it’s not ideal for keeping it fresh. It would be better in a tube, maybe? If you get a jar of this that smells bad or off, it probably isn’t fresh and you should seek a refund. Overall I don’t actually think this is actually worth purchasing if you are looking for an once-in-awhile exfoliating scrub. I didn’t repurchase after buying once jar. The brand has many great products I have repurchased several times, though, and I think it’s a brand worth checking out if you haven’t already.jo.c

Definitely not what I expected, I bought this product as an exfoliate her even after hearing all the bad rep that this brand has gotten I still thought I would try it. I forgetting at home and opening it I noticed it did smell very nice but I almost had the consistency of a clay mask which I wasn't mad at. When I actually using this product I noticed they were very large chunks of what I'm assuming or almond considering it's an almond and honey scrub and it really didn't do much exfoliating. It honestly didn't do much of anything my skin did feel soft after use but I have a feeling that's just from the almond and honey in the product in a creamy consistency but as far as exfoliating goes I really don't think it does much as an exfoliator. I will finish it since I bought it and I don't hate it… but I definitely would not purchase this again.Kay123

I was told that I have combination skin (oily t-zone). My face would get super shiny/oily looking by early afternoon. I tried out this product a couple of months ago & love it. The smell is decent and my face feels clean after using it. I'm currently using it with a different moisturizer (lift & firm cream by andalou) and they work well together.Carly

I’m starting to sound like a bot that only promotes ACURE products, but really they’re just THAT good. This is my fourth ACURE product and I’m still in love. I’ve avoided physical exfoliation for the last couple years as I’ve found it too abrasive, but this is so gentle but so effective. As an oily girl, using this a couple times a week has decreased the oil in my t-zone, cleared up some stubborn acne, and I feel as though my pores are not as noticeable. I’ve tried the chemical exfoliation and found it dries me out too much, but this feels so good on my skin while cleansing and there is no tight feeling after. ACURE is super affordable, easily attainable, and vegan/clean. I’m such a fan of this brand. Also, this is considered a dupe for the Tatcha cleanser and my wallet enjoys it.ashley.p

I have dry, sensitive skin, acne prone skin, and sensitivities to a lot of fruits. It's hard for me to find products without things I'm allergic to like grapefruit, avocado, and banana. So I was very excited to see the ingredients in this product agree with me 🙂 I only use it when I notice my skin start to get flakey and dry. It's a great exfoliation treatment for me. I've only used the Tea Tree line which helped with my oily skin. But I noticed I needed something with more umph to help with bumps on my face. I ordered this based off the reviews I've read and decided to try it out. The worst that can happen is it messes up my face right!? WRONG!! It makes my face so soft!! The oil on my face has reduced so I don't feel so slimy on hot days. I know gross. It smells amazing and it doesn't dry out my face. I still use my Tea Tree moisturizer and my face doesn't feel sticky or look shiny. My pores look reduced to a decent size. I have big pores and get a lot of yuck and under skin bumps. But this face wash is a God send. It helped clear out a constellation of pimples on my forehead. Yay! But definitely will be getting more of this. I just wish they made a larger bottle!! I have very sensitive skin, but also have problems with oil and blemishes. I have used many exfoliators over the years, and every single one of them dried my skin out and made it feel way too sensitive. This one does not! It made my skin smoother, half of my blackheads disappear, and did not leave my skin red in just the first use. Because my skin is so sensitive, I will only be using this product once a week or so, but I really do love it! The bottle was smaller than I had expected, but a little goes a long way. I use the seaweed mask from the same line, and the smell between the two products is not comparable. The exfoliator does not have a strong smell at all, and I would feel comfortable using it before going out and not worrying about whether or not I smell like the sea. 🙂NaturalKat

I actually bought this because of a video on Tabitha Brown's youtube on her skin care regimen. Her skin is flawless and I had been in search of a good cleanser and moisturizer. I must say this product is amazing! You only need a little drop of it and it goes a long way. It leaves my skin super soft to the touch. It gently exfoliates and does not feel abrasive at all. I enjoy the scent as well and find that I have been washing my face longer than usual because I love how it feels while I'm rubbing in on. This is hands down the best cleanser that I've ever purchased.Shaamya

I received the Clean and Clear Deep Exfoliating Scrub to test from Home Tester Club. The directions weren't clear if you are supposed to use before or after you clean your face so I used it both ways. I actually prefer to have scented products. But I will say that the first time I used it, the fragrance was strong to the point it kind of burned my eyes and the back of my throat. But after using it several times, I got used to it. Again, the directions aren't terribly specific about how often a day to use it either. But it does say it's gentle enough for daily use. I used it in the morning and night, before cleansing and after cleansing. It felt refreshing and made my face feel real soft and smooth. I really like it and will continue to use it. The only reason I did not give it five stars was because of how strong the scent is initially and how the directions weren't very clear on usage.StaciMichelle6

I have oily skin but at my age I don't get acne. My skin was rough before using this product. But instantly became silky and clean once I used this product. I bought this, the Clean and Clear Exfoliating Facial Scrub, and also their Clean and Clear Cream Cleanser. After use my face felt cool, fresh and instantly silky smooth. I rotate between the scrub and cleanser each day when I wash my face. And it last a while as it only takes a small amount each use. I received this bottle of Clean & Clear from Home Testers Club complimentary in return for a honest review. I found this scrub exfoliating cleanser to actually feel like I was pampering my skin . When applying I could immediately feel if going to work deep within my pores. The tingling sensation makes me feel like it's doing exactly what it was made for. I live in and area where my face and skin are constantly exposed to the sun. In return from so much exposure my skin tends to become dry and a bit flaky. I have to use a scrub exfoliator to remove the dried skin . The scrub is gentle to the touch not overly abrasive. It left my skin feeling smooth and clean . The only thing with it being a gel , it didn't come off as easily as I thought it would . It's much easier applying this gel scrub in the shower . I would say it makes me feel like my face was completely pampered .Liza665

We've moved up from comments like " you should NOT be using that on your face!" and "not terrible" to conditional approval! Black wood grain tube, no box… yep it's for Men. Orange insignia means acne fighting! Activated charcoal? Don't you ingest that to pass drug tests? Whoa, its black! And gooey! Like evil aloe plant innards! Or that ubiquitous black slime that always shows up in horror movies when stuff gets serious. I thought the charcoal bit was just marketing fluff. Maybe they just waved a Kingsford briquette over it to give it a manly blessing but no-ho they put some charcoal in a food processor and hit puree! OK, I'm over it, moving on. So it foams up into nifty looking dark gray lather and feels pretty nice. I've used it for a couple weeks and it kept a damper on my acne without making my face fall off. It's unscented and more importantly the wife approves of the sort of gentle soap smell. It's also only about 8 bucks a tube, definitely recommended.brian.a

What a great product. The face wash cleans my skin without drying it out. My skin is typically oily however since using the face wash my skin feels moist and soft all day. I have to comment on the body wash too. The body wash leaves you feeling clean and refreshed all day. I highly recommend both of these products.Seth B.

The pores on my nose were "Big Daddies" until I started using Every Man Jack's Face Wash with Activated Charcoal. It is a deep pore cleanser with salicylic acid. This stuff reduced the "Big Daddies" to "Little Babies" in no time. It is like reverse aging. I almost feel sorry for them. Not really! I love this stuff!Jimmie S.

Got this a month or two ago and love it. It's a physical abrasive, but melts away with water very quickly and hasn't bothered my eyes like other abrasives can. Most effective method for me is using it on the clarisonic brush with a small dab of my cleanser, then I do another round w just cleanser to remove residue, and it makes a noticeable difference in texture without messing with my tone (which is easy to do). product should last 3-5mo for me using the frequency they recommend. I'm not a fan of most fresh products I've tried but this is a great gentle, natural, effective product.hyperspace

Fresh – Umbrian Clay Pore Face Exfoliator is an amazing product. The beads are really small and not irritating. My face feels really clean and smooth after using this product. No breakouts either. I noticed my skin is even clearer and smoother when I use Ole H . Sauna Scrub before or after, then it’s really SPA like feeling and look. I noticed my pores are less noticeable and clearer.dimanta

I like this scrub. It hits that middle point between too harsh and not effective enough which can be tricky with a physical exfoliant. Caudalie's deep clean scrub is way too harsh, Farmacy's grains exfoliant was too gentle, this is a happy medium for someone who wants to stick to the "clean" products. My only complaint is that my face doesn't feel totally clean if I don't wash my face with a basic wash first. I don't mean a full face of makeup, I mean just using it with only moisturizer and whatever my face picks up during the day. That could be laziness on my part, but I would be happier if this could be a one and done product. I might keep looking but I'll come back to this if I don't find what I'm searching for.LindsayJWK
