I received the “L’Oreal Paris Pure Sugar Scrub Smooth & Glow” for free for test and review from Topbox Circle. At first glance, you don’t think anything of this scrub but wow, it totally blew me away with what it can really do. I liked how it’s encased in this tiny but heavy, glass jar. When you open it, the consistency looks quite thick and sticky looking but isn't sticky at all. The smell is amazing, like dark chocolate coffee syrup and I just wanted to eat it(but I didn't)! The application is pretty easy and you don’t need a whole lot. Make sure not to get it too close to your eyes as there are little granules in this scrub that could irritate your eyes. Immediately after applying, you’ll notice this amazing, warming sensation that spreads all over your face. The blend of sugars, coffee, oils felt so luscious against the skin. Use gentle circular motions around your face since the instructions say to use it on dry skin. If you do use it on damp skin or wet skin, it's not as effective because the sugar crystals would have dissolved leaving only the coffee grounds behind as an exfoliant. I'm glad that the blend of sweet almond and coconut oils help it be less abrasive. Rinses well with water revealing baby soft skin. My skin felt cleaner and smoother in just one use. It was perfectly fine for my sensitive skin. I’ve used this scrub, three times now and I love it so much! I had really rough textured skin between my eyebrows and now it feels so much smoother. I’ve used Loreal’s Pure Clay Face Masks in the past but I never stopped to try their scrubs. I’m going to have to check out their line of scrubs to see what else I can try. I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I’ve been using this face lip scrub for a couple of weeks now, and I can honestly say that it’s a very interesting product. The first thing that hits you when you open this jar is the scent,… I mean, Holy Dark Roast, Batman!!! The coffee aroma is super strong and pungent, so if you’re not a fan of the smell of coffee, this isn’t for you… I personally enjoy the scent and found it to be a nice robust fragrance. This scrub also has a warming sensation as you apply it, so it’s ideal for a chilly winter morning wake-up call. As for the ingredients of the scrub itself, it’s mostly a mix of sugar and coffee grounds (don’t use a white washcloth to rinse this off, take it from me). The sugar granules were larger than I anticipated, which meant I had to be careful when massaging this scrub into my skin because it’s definitely on the rougher side of exfoliating products. After rinsing, my face looked radiant and smooth (albeit a little red LOL). I had the softest skin and felt ready to take on the day… However, I didn’t notice a real difference when using this scrub for my lips, so that was a tad disappointing… I think I’ll stick to using this for my face only. Overall, I enjoyed the scent and results of this scrub, but because it’s such an intense exfoliation I won’t find myself using it frequently… I also am disappointed that it’s advertised as a lip scrub as well, but didn’t actually prove to be effective for my lips. I do appreciate the opportunity to try this product for free from Influenster, but I won’t personally be running out to buy another L’Oréal Pure Sugars Coffee Scrub anytime soon.kat.j

I dont drink coffee. But boy do I love the smell of it. And THIS SCRUB smells like fresh ground coffee! It really does. Its a pivk me up for sure. And the scrub itself is not too harsh and 100% leaves my skin better than before I used it. Its a little too liquidy when ypu use most of the scrub. You really gotta dig to the bottom to then pick up actually scrubbies. But its so worth it! The price is a little put of my comfort zone but I still have my first jar and still use it as a luxury sometimes!danielle.d

I purchased this for my husband. He has been consistently using this for over a year and really feels it helps with preventing and diminishing ingrown hairs on his face. The scrub is intense – the particles are large – I certainly can’t use it on my face. But he can’t go anywhere without it. The scent is refreshing as well.1chord2another

This is a top notch product that I always want to have on hand. It’s not so tough that I can’t use it back to back days, but it also does a phenomenal job of getting rid of dead skin that flakes off through my beard. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is that the formula seems to change fairly often. A size of the large tube can last me a year and when I go to re-order it again there’s always something that’s just a little different the last couple years. It has more of a sand quality now which is so heavy it doesn’t actually go down the drain. It’s minor because the results are still great but I think something to be aware of if you’re considering this product.GradShopper

This face polish is luxurious. The combo of gentle exfoliants with the nice oils feels like a hydrating, quality product. I find myself using this every once in a while though. I used it every day in conjunction with the other products in the line, and I did start to get consistent surface zits. I do not have acne-prone skin, and once I started using it sparingly the zits went away. I think using this in a way that works for your skin is key, and for me, maybe once a week. This is one of the best exfoliating products I’ve ever used and trust me I’ve used a lot of them. After using Wishful papaya enzyme scrub for a year I decided to give this beauty a shot and it worked wonders for me! Tatcha Rice Polish exfoliator is great but what sets this product apart from the rest is it’s luxurious fragrance and Ayurvedic properties. This product is definitely not for those people who are looking for strong chemical formula rich in lather and high number of rice granules. It’s formula is rich, soft and feels Royal on your skin! i've been looking for something gentle enough to not re-trigger my perioral dermatitis. I have extremely sensitive skin and have only used Cetaphil gentle products for as long as I can remember! I'm in my late 30s now and decided I needed something just slightly more assertive than my normal cleanser but I was glad I could stick with Cetaphil since they've always been gentle enough in the past. I don't find any extra irritation and I use this product with a silicone exfoliator and scrub thoroughly. I think it really helps to give me an extra oomph without irritation. I absolutely love this product, I am being 100% honest when I say that I am officially trading up my skincare routine to be using only Cetaphil Healthy Radiance products. It is formulated for ultra sensitive skin, they have it ranked on a scale of 1-5 so you can easily see that on the front of the bottle. It is unscented, it is light and lathers well and leaves your skin feeling clean but not like the oils have been stripped from your skin and it doesn't feel like it damages the moisture barrier at all. I have such sensitive skin that even most products made for sensitive skin will irritate me in some way and mostly leave my combination skin still feeling dry, especially in my problem areas where the dry skin seems to come back no matter what. With the healthy radiance I have not had any issues at all with dryness, those tough spots are gone and I really feel that is because of how sensitive it is on the moisture barrier! I have been a CeraVe loyalist for 5+ years, my mom works at a dermatologist office and always brings home samples so I was able to try a few and settle there for a few years. I love a good mechanical scrub. My skin needs it. Period. Over the years I've found that most all scrubs are just too wimpy for me. But this one is the exact opposite – it is gritty like sand. I was fortunate that I didn't wind up with microtears leading to red bumps, but I just wouldn't chance it again in the future. I like the idea of the diatomaceous Earth as the scrubber, but I think the formula would be better with either less of the scrubbers, or more of the base product so that the dermabrasion wasn't so powerful. Still, I'm not sure if that would even help. You see, the particles are so fine that I feel like they just get at the surface of the skin instead of getting deeper down to clear out pores. My skin is sensitive & acne-prone, slightly dehydrated, & I am super cautious about what I try in case it causes me break-outs or redness. This gentle microfoliant is absolutely beautiful for a 1-2 weekly second cleanse in the PM, or AM cleanse. Before i started using this i never had a problem with acne or having consistent pimples. I bought this, used it, and I'll admit, my skin felt so clean after each, use but over time the super intense grit of the exfoliant TORE up my skin. It was like i was getting open wounds from it because it was so gritty and sharp. I am actually very surprised by the immediate difference these two products made to my skin. My biggest complaint about my skin is it can tend to be a little pinkish and after my first night of using the toner, I woke up to a lovely even complexion. This is such an amazing chemical exfoliator. A lot of people think “chemical” means that it is harsher than a physical exfoliator (scrubs). This is totally the opposite, especially when you are talking about mandelic acid. This is my personal miracle. I have always had super dry, sensitive skin on my face. It gets flaky enough that it stands out pretty badly under makeup. I used aquaphor on my face to control it. Then I found this product several months ago. The first thing I noticed was that my face did not get that right feeling when my face dried. A couple of weeks later, I noticed that the dryness was clearing up, then I noticed my blackheads clearing up. I didn’t need the aquaphor anymore. Then I ran out and I couldn’t find it in stores, so I bought something else, figured maybe it was in post something else I was trying. In just over a week, everything came back. L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detoxifying Gel Wash is your dream brush washing agent. I don't know how it does it but brushes, for example Huda's double ended Foundation brush that came out with her foundation stick. Well that damn thing would take three washes with normal soap to come clean, but now, just a pea sized dot on my palm and a couple minutes massage, and its clean. See I freakin' loved that brush but stopped using it because of how hard it was to clean, basically $AU51 down the drain. The one day out of desperation (I always wash my brushes the day I use them) i tried my face wash on my brush, I wasn't expecting to much but geez, believe me, its like they were made for each other. This also works on all your brushes and its very on your bristles and wond dry out niether wooden nor plastic handles. Try it, you wont regret it 😊. What I love about Paula Begoun's skincare range is firstly: the transparency. An explanation is given for each ingredient so you know exactly what you're putting onto/into your skin. Secondly there's ample opportunity to trial the products via a sample size on the website. Not to mention a good returns policy. The 2% BHA lotion was one of the products that I invested in full size (along with a bunch of samples) and funnily enough was my least favorite out of everything I ordered. It's not that it broke me out or disagreed with me in any way, it just didn't do much for me. Even after the first 3 weeks of usage, gradually built up to twice daily applications, my skin still looked exactly the same as before I started using it. Pores, blemishes, oiliness, you name it…zero difference! It's unfortunate, as I skipped the option of a sample pack, thinking it wouldn't be enough product to give it a fair try. I was somehow convinced this 1 bottle would be the answer to all my skincare woes (not entirely sure what lead me to believe that!). The good: it wasn't harsh on my skin like many BHA products can be, and the application was well controlled, never too much or too little. I don't normally post reviews, but when I see something actually make improvements to my skin I've gotta share my experience because I know there's so much BS in products these days. But Paulas Choice 2% for the win! I got a small sample bottle for $10. I read the reviews and was a little nervous to do it everyday because of what people were saying…but that wasn't my experience. I used it everyday, morning & night. I shook the bottle 3 times into my hand and smoothed it over my entire face. I was using the cotton pads at first, and just doing on the areas that needed it but then I ran out of the pads so I put it in my hands and honestly, it worked way better when I was just using my hands to spread it because it seemed to soak into my face better. I saw people say that their face would get irritated by using it everyday and the way to use it correctly and see results was to use it once a week… so I just wanted to see how my face would react the next day but nothing felt bad and I decided to do it again in the morning. I loved how it felt on my skin, and I only had 1 flare up and that was a week later May 26-27th (Photos Included) The pimple went away quickly and I still decided to put the product on my face Night & Day. I saw people say it isn't good for sun exposure so not to use it during the day, but I am staying home at the moment so I don't go outside as often, maybe 20 mins a day. So I took that caution with a grain of salt. If you go outside more, maybe you should listen to that warning lol. I am not a product expert of how to use it correctly, all I know is I used it night and day and the hyperpigmentation/dark spots on my forehead have really toned down and my skin looks a lot more smooth/brighter which I love. I always feel like I'm glowing and it feels spa like when I put it on, it's got a nice relaxing smell and a nice soothing texture to it that isn't too oily. This is my tried and true holy grail exfoliator. No matter what I try, I always come back to this one. I have emptied soooo many bottles of this. I have very sensitive, combination (super dry/normal in the winter & oily/normal in the summer but I can still use this product all year around despite my skin type) and acne prone skin. I have to say that I hated this product the very first time I tried it–it stung my skin. It was to the point where I ran into the bathroom to wash it off my face after just a few mins of applying it. I really tried to like the product but the sting was too painful and the SMELL of this is absolutely atrocious. The product smells like acetone to me and I probably gagged in about 20 different languages when I put it on my face for the first time (although I would rather it smell disgusting than have them add a ton fragrance to the product. My skin doesn't do will with heavy fragrances). I left this on my vanity for a few months before I picked it up again–I just didn't want to waste my money. Someone told me to dilute the product with water on a cotton pad–I tried it and it didn't sting my face nearly as bad but still some intense tingling going on. But the next morning, I noticed how soft and rejuvenated my skin looked and felt. I continued to use it once a week and I fell in love with the product and slowly stopped diluting it as much as my skin got used to it. After 4-5 years of using this religiously 2-3 times a week, I still feel tingling on my skin when I use it but I've gotten use to the feeling and the horrible smell because the results are worth it. Due to my sensitive skin, I absolutely can NOT use this product more than 2-3 times a week. This product is wonderful. It takes me about a little less than a year.Vic

It took some time for my skin to adapt to this range previously like all face products I’ve used over the years… making my skin break out and patches of dryness. I couldn't believe the difference in my skin tone after just one wash with this scrub. I have lots of acne scarring on my chin and jaw line and they have almost disappeared after a couple of weeks of using this scrub along with the cleanser. I have had adult acne since I was 21 and I'm now 29 so I have tried pretty much everything…expensive products, natural products, homemade remedies…and this is the first product I have used where I can actually see a difference! It doesn't have a harsh scrub it's a lot smoother than the glycolic scrub from nip+fab so once in a while when I feel like my skin needs a good deep clean like after wearing heavy make up for example, I will use the glycolic scrub instead. But this scrub really brightens my skin and leaves it feeling soft and clean. I just love so many of the Aveeno brand products to be honest….but, Their skincare line is definitely where I spent the majority of the money i spend overall on this popular brand. One can never truly go wrong when choosing to add Aveeno to their skincare routine! And thats the truth! While i have used multiple products from their skincare line , I tend to prefer the 'Positively Radiant' line. I love the results I get when using the daily scrub and the moisturizer together in my skincare routine every day. The scrub itself is so gentle on the skin yet it effectively rejuvenates my appearance to perfection each n every time I use it. I can see the positive results when i use this cleansing scrub about 2 days out of the week as my exfoliator. I am always feeling much more confident on the days when ive exfoliated using the Positively Radiant scrub because i can literally see the brand new and bright skin on my face and neck area once i complete my morning skincare routine on these couple days out of every week that i incorporate this must-have product in said routine. Pretty much all aspects of my skincare routine change up here n there after several months of using one of the same products in any one of the multi-step routine for daily skincare. But for almost 2 years straight now, ive continued to use Aveenos Positively Radiant scrub as my exfoliator twice each week in order to get all those dulling dead skin cells off of my face thus revealing an absolutely POSITIVELY impeccable looking face when i finish my daily morning routine on these days! To my surprise, the exfoliating beads are very, very small. They almost feel like crushed rice balls (if that makes any sense) much smaller and gentler than sugar. And their smooth round edges prevent them from creating micro-tears in the skin Aveeno's scrub product is so light, my face doesn't feel tight, because it doesn't dry out my skin. It is oil-free so I don't get that oily feeling either. My face doesn't necessarily feel silky smooth because I don't think it is loaded with silicone but my face just feels like skin. As for the brightening effect, when you're face is clean it will always look bright. This is not going to single-handedly fade your dark spots but getting rid of the dead skin on the surface of your face will help your overall appearance. Just letting the beads do their job. I know you might feel the need to press into the skin as you exfoliate but it is really not necessary, it is a top no-no, because doing so can damage the skin. Because it is so gentle, I am able to use it 2-3 times a week. It has become an integral part of my weekly night routine before I actually cleanse my face. I love this product and have been raving about it for some time now.lilian.f

I love it!!! wonderful for my skin. I have oily dehydrated skin with a tendency to acne and it doesn't break my skin and also doesn't leave my skin dry. I love Neutrogena, they never disappoint me. I recommend this cleanser, most importantly it cleans and exfoliates very well. This scrub has really gentle, yet effective scrubbing particles. This product was my holy grail in high school! I've tried many different drugstore scrubs and cleansers, once I found this one I kept repurchasing this one and never looked back! It's a good quality product that does a really good job of cleaning my face! It leaves my face feeling polished and smooth after use! It has a faint fresh scent. I have combination, pretty clear skin with some enlarged pores on my cheeks and some congestion in my T Zone, so the perfect exfoliant is a necessity. The exfoliant beads are quite large, compared to other exfoliants I have tried and I feel this causes me to spend a little more time working-in the product. It's like a facial in the shower and leaves your skin smooth with a fresh look throughout the day. Its gentle on my skin and I use it alternate days. I blend it in with circular motions and then leave it for a few minutes before I rinse it out. It leaves me with supple soft skin. It has also helped even out my skin tone which was a bit patchy before I started using it. I have combination skin and have always struggled to find a scrub wash that could clear up my acne, my skin in on more the oiler side and tend to have sensitive skin. now i had a chance to try the Origins Checks & Balances Scrub face wash and is amazing!! my skin is clean and fresh after using it. is very creamy and foams up very nice so a little goes a long way, It does not dry out my face, really makes my face feel clean, soft and glowing!!! I have not broken out since I started using this, Its in perfect balance and rinses clean. It is easy to use, after cleansing massage into damp skin using a circular motion, rinse and pat dry. I got this as a trial size sample, but had to come here to add my experience. It did leave my skin very smooth, I’ll give it that. However, I have been using some pretty heavy duty skin care lines and products since I was 12 (I’m 23 now) and have never ever had an issue with product just finding it’s way into my eye during regular use…until this stuff? As soon as I rinsed my face it felt like there was sand in both of my eyes. I thought little of that since the exfoliating particles did feel small and sand-like on my skin, thinking it would pass quickly with a little light rubbing. Wrong. It’s been half an hour since my nightly skincare routine; I’ve taken out my contacts and massaged with contact solution and still: sand in my eyes. I didn’t change anything about the mechanics of washing and rinsing my face. The only difference about tonight compared to the last ten years has been this product. Who knows maybe it was a fluke but I’m writing this in the hopes it takes a little of the sting out of my eyes, if only proverbially.jecarl17

Love it! I have very sensitive skin and do okay with this. I usually use it every other shower and rub it all over my face (avoiding eyes) and my skin is very soft after. It’s spendy but last for ever as you do not need much each use 🙂 oh and keep the leaflet if you think you’ll need it! There are NOT directions on the back of the bottle 😮Jen

I love this product so much! It's my go to for everyday use. But I flip it out with another cleanser every other week and it really has worked for my skin. I have a combination skin type which is prone to acne so it's really hard for me to find some good products that work for me. But my skin seems to really like this one!namrata.w

I’ve always been lowkey insecure about my “strawberry skin” legs & no matter how routinely I body scrub/exfoliate + moisturize them I just feel like I p h y s i c a l l y don’t see a difference (I most definitely feel smoother afterwards tho). I tested out this WISHFUL YO DETOX FACE & BODY ENZYME SCRUB on a section of my legs to see if there would be any visible results after one use (on cleansed & dry skin, scrubbed, wiped off), and I was surprisingly already able to see a difference! It obviously wasn’t a huge difference just yet, but I was able to see small difference which is better than nothing. Off the bat I noticed that there was less hyperpigmentation around my hair follicles & my skin also felt smooth afterwards. It is a much more gentle scrub that I expected & it doesn’t irritate my skin at all [ my skin type: normal/dry ]. I am definitely going to switch this YO DETOX SCRUB with my current body scrub in my routine & see what the results will look like after XX amount of uses! I’m impressed!naatizzle

This is by far the best scrub that I’ve ever used. I’m not one to typically go for products that you can use on face and body but for me, this product is worth making an exception. I recently purchased and have only used a few times but wow can I see a difference. I have combination skin but am sensitive at the same time and this did not irritate me in any way. I also suffer from eczema and many products can irritate me but this did not – neither on my face or body. I really saw and felt the difference in my skin almost immediately. I can’t believe it is so gentle but so deep cleaning at the same time. Highly recommended!jsklo725

I've been buying this scrub for a few years, but like another review, I've been dismayed by a change of formula. Unlike the other reviewer, my most recent batch is way *coarser*, not softer. It used to have fine abrasives, but my latest batch feels like it's got gravel in it. I worry it's damaging my skin to use. I wonder if they've got some quality control issues on the filtering for the abrasives, or maybe they've changed formula twice?hc42

Read the reviews saying its lost its exfoliating consistency but still decided to order as I've had no disappointment with any other nip+fab product. However after trying this for the first time not sure what these other reviews were on about! Maybe they changed their formula back after the criticisms but this is definitely a rough exfoliant, kind of the texture of fine sand, really scrubs off the dead skin without stripping any moisture/oils and works great in combo with the nip+fab moisturisers and serums. Haven't used it long term yet so can't speak on whether it gets rid of blackheads after prolonged regular use but it has really smoothed out my overall skin texture so far <3SophMarie

I looked up the reviews of this product as having bought many tubes previously I’ve noticed the latest one I have is no longer as grainy as it was, and I wanted to find out if perhaps it’s just a dud tube or whether others have reported the same. I see someone else has noticed this, which is disappointing as it was such a good face scrub! It really felt like it was giving your face a good exfoliation and left it feeling really smooth and clean, whereas now it just feels like a creamy face wash! I’m really disappointed about this as I’ve not been able to find anything that came close in the same price rangeRaaaaaaach

I've been using this cream since my mid twenties and I am now in my mid fifties! Yes, you heard that correctly…..I've been using this cream for 30 years and counting! (If i recall correctly, the only change in this cream is the SPF added and having a day and night option) It is the perfect moisturizer under my foundation and more importantly on its own. It is not greasy or heavy at all. My skin is soft, smooth and radiant and I only have a couple of wrinkles around my eyes to show my age. I don't believe in the theory in having to change your moisturizer after a few years, at all!! I truly believe the reason my skin is so flawless at my age, is because of this cream, and I have no intentions in changing to a new product. A wonderful product Elizabeth Arden! I've been using this moisturizer for about 15 years now. My face always feels soft and looks healthy. a couple of years ago, another moisturizer was recommended to me, and so I tried it. My mistake. I gave it about a month and then couldn't stand the dry skin and break-outs! I threw out the rest, and went right back to my Elizabeth Arden. I never thought I'd say this, but my skin feels terrific after application. My skin is very oily, and I'm now an older woman, still with oily skin. Got this as a sample. I tried it thinking "this will be too greasy everything with sunscreen is". However, it absorbed very well, and barely a greasy feeling. It helps smooth my face, and my makeup goes on well. Add a little setting spray after makeup is on, and there you go, a face of SPF and very few touch ups'. Love it.duMaurier

This product ranks highly among the other exfoliators I have used; first, it's a natural product, second, it's effective without being harsh, third is smells great, and lastly, although the product jar is relatively small (especially compared to Fresh's exfoliators) you only require a small amount a couple times a week. Sometimes, I will start with this exfoliator, leave it on for about a minute, then add the Vitamin Infused cleanser, and rinse [from Clarity RX] to ensure I receive the best clean (this product tends to leave beads behind but I notice when I mix the products, that doesn't occur].Katherine
