I've never had sensitive skin. I'm 25 and have never dealt with acne, other than hormonal. I started using the even tone cleansing kit…so the bar, the serum, retinol, and sunscreen. i followed the directions for frequency and usage. within a couple of days my skin was peeling, which I read was normal. I gave it a few days, and i developed a rash around my mouth and chin that I've never had before, with tiny, itchy bumps that would get worse if I was outside sweating. it was horrible and i did not leave my house for days. I stopped using the products cold turkey and just went to a very mild face wash and moisturizer and the rash went away after 4 or 5 days. I don't know how you would know if you will have a bad reaction unless you try it, but if you feel any negative effects, stop using immediately.Amelia

i started using this sometime in june. i noticed i started getting a super dry patch of skin around my lip. i didn’t really think anything of it as i had gotten a bad sunburn a few weeks before and thought it was probably just from that. as i started to get towards the bottom of this container, i noticed the product had much darker beads of wash, again, didn’t really think much of it i continued using it. then i got another disgusting dry patch of skin on my bottom lip and it was so bad that i couldn’t go 30 minutes without applying aquaphor because it was itchy, dry, and burning. the last time i used this product my face literally felt like it was burning. like i had sat in the florida sun for hours with no sunscreen. i returned the product and 2 days later my lip already started going back to normal and was no longer dry and itchy. i would beware of chemical burns and this is definitely NOT FOR SENSITIVE SKIN.kamrynb

Ok, hear me out. I have been using this cleanser for a little over a week. Things I like? Sponge is pretty great. The product leaves my face feeling nice and clean. As far as evening my skin tone, mayyy see a little difference already? Butttt I’m not saying that the product itself doesn’t work, but before using this product I NEVER washed my face with a sponge. I typically used my hands or maybe a washcloth. The sponge really encourages you to lather up and scrub. Almost like you’re trying to erase those pesky dark spots. So my question is, is the product working to even your skin tone or is it the fact that you have this nifty little sponge that is exfoliating your skin morning and night, every day, where before this product that wasn’t happening?? So, am I happy with the product, yes. Will I buy it again? Right now I’ll say yes, but I’ll see when I finish it off what progress my skin has made. Is it the product or the sponge?? Hi! Today I will talk about the "Relief and Mega-Mushroom Resilience of Dr. Andrew by Origins" which in Spanish translates to Mega-Mushroom Relief and Resilience. It is a treatment in lotion with reishi mushroom and now with fermented Chaga and coprinus mushrooms. It is alcohol free and pH balanced. It promises to hydrate and soothe the skin. The treatment also says that instantly increases the level of skin moisture. In addition, reduce the appearance of redness in a single use and prepare freshly cleaned skin to use serum and moisturizer. This product is specifically designed for redness and sequence, any skin type can be used in case you have any of these needs. I honestly had not noticed what redness comes out in the most frequent T zone than I thought, until I started using this product. My skin is very sensitive and reacts easily to any product, but especially to those that promise hydration. In my experience this treatment has never reacted to me and fulfills what it promises. I could even say that it is my second favorite product to regulate skin tones. But, be careful with this, the product relieves the symptoms, however it is important that you consult with a dermatologist the causes for which you have redness or sequence and if you can use the lotion. If you become itchy when using it, see a specialist doctor and stop using it until the professional tells you that you can use it. It pains me to write this review, but I am compelled to make others aware. Let me begin with I liked the cleanser; I really liked how it lathered and my face felt clean after each wash. That being said, I was disappointed with the packaging. I purchased the 8.5oz container and half way through its use the opening clogged. I made the hole larger and it clogged repeatedly. With the larger hole the cap would not stay closed, which I sure aided in the subsequent clogs. Even worse, I travel often and I could not take this cleanser with me. SO, because I am a loyal Origins customer I purchased a second container, this time the 5 oz, thinking the size was the problem. NOPE, same result. Now, I have two more than half used container that I eventually threw away. Frustrated, I reached out to Origins via email, shared my concern and encouraged them to fix the packaging and/or to give me some guidance on whether my use was causing the problem. I received a response apologizing for my poor experience and then they offered (no, I did not ask for replacements) to send me replacements, but for this to occur I had to send them the very small serial numbers etched in the seam at the bottom, and was the same color and very, very tiny (to my 50 year old eyes :-)). I complied. I guess they wanted to ensure I did not buy a KNOCKOFF – I did not realize there was such a thing. It has now been over 90 days and I have neither received the unsolicited replacements nor have I heard anything else from the company. So, for these reasons, I cannot recommend this product because you can only use half of the contents with ease, the remaining is a battle. I am struggling with my commitment to the company as it is clear they have none for me. The only reason I haven't walked away is because I found the Three Part Harmony line and it is outstanding and I have not found anything better yet (yes, I am looking and will give up this great product for better commuting to the product.FrustratedLoyalty

The version I got says "hyaluronic acid and chamomile" on the label. I had it down to this cleanser, or La Roch Posey gentle cleanser, the latter being a much bigger bottle for the same price. I decided on the Derma E because it's cruelty free. I use Tretinoin 1% at night, so prefer more gentle cleansers, though the creamy ones don't seem to get everything off and leave a residue behind. I was skeptical, as most clear gel cleansers, even those that specifically claim to be gentle and non drying, strip my normal skin and leave it feeling very tight, even painful, after washing. This one does not. I oil cleanse first with an olive oil based oil cleanser from Japan, to remove sunscreen and makeup. After the second step of washing with this cleanser, my skin felt great. It took off all the oil and makeup and my face and neck felt smooth and normal, not the least bit dry or tight. I think I've found my new favorite cleanser!Geslina

I use this cleanser for almost 2 years (it is my 3d bottle already). My skin looks much much better since I started to use it (I combine it with Firming DMAE Toner and Tea Tree & Vitamin E Relief Cream). I got rid of my acne problems and my skin is healthier and cleaner 🙂 It foams very well, so one bottle is enough for me for almost a year of use (like 9 months I think, but I use it only for my morning routine though). I used this product once in 2020 and I loved the way it cleaned my face and handled my acne like it was no big deal. I eventually ran out of the "bar" during quarantine and was really disappointed I couldn't go out and buy another. It's been a full year since I last purchased the product and when I started using the "bar" again I realized how effective it is. It lathers nicely and a little bit of the cleanser goes a long way. A really long way. In the shower, I would let it sit on my face. It would tingle, but it was nothing painful. It literally eliminated any major and minor blemishes I had and gave me a smooth complexion. I sadly ran out of the product again and I have been using the salicylic acid cleanser from Cerave. It's only been a week since I changed cleansers and my blemishes are coming back again :/. I may be relying on this cleansing "bar" too much, but it works wonders for me. My skin is combo with oily areas. Prior to using this cleanser, I was using the cleanser in the peach jar, which is good for dry skin. Not don’t get me wrong, it kept my skin clear and breakout free but when I got a bad breakout this summer I tried this one figuring it would be better. Also, products typically for cleaning and acne bother my skin. This cleanser is just it for me; smooth, even skin, breakouts go away quicker and no lingering dark marks. I saw a lady on TikTok using this. She had a counter full of expensive skincare and then this $12 dollar cleanser. It really made me scratch my head. There were no sponsorship links either. So I went to Walgreens and grabbed the last bottle they had. Guess a lot of people use it. Wash my face and It makes my face feel super clean without feeling dry and tight. the little pink things are microplastics used as a means to exfoliate. unlike other common means of physical exfoliation like sugar scrubs, they do not dissolve. this means they travel through the water supply, likely contributing to clogs/slow drains in your home, fatbergs in sewers of populated areas, and polluting water wherever they go. that was the first reason I became so disappointed in this product and company. it came to my attention they were plastic when I had a huge zit that never went away. finally when it was drained, one of these plastic bits came out and I was put on antibiotics to take care of any infection resulting of this thing being trapped in my skin. I'm really disappointed in this product and expect better from a brand thriving in a time where skincare science has come so far.K

Soap and Glory just nail it when it comes to beauty. I've used this for years. Whilst it technically isn't a face soap, it is so gentle on my skin. I've used this since having oily skin in my teens, through to combination, sensitive and normal skin now. The Yuzu smell reminds me of Summer all year round and I feel so clean and refreshed every time I use it. Such good value. I was given this product free for my honest review. First off, I trust Aveeno as a good skin care product. One of the reasons I selected this particular item was because of the brand name and reputation. I am 62 and have been a skincare advocate for most of my life. I've been exposed to many brand products in the past, Avon, Mary Kay (sell both), Arbonne, Clinique, and the like. I am not a name brand snob but, when I find a product I like, I will promote it, whether I'm selling it or not. This particular cleanser from Aveeno is very gentle, which I need as I have sensitive skin and have to watch what I use. This cleanser leaves my skin very soft and it does feel VERY clean. it's not that "there is no moisture left in my skin," type of clean from some cleansers that seem to zap any moisture out of your skin. This leaves a velvety smooth feel without feeling like you may have left something on your face. Those types of cleansers drive me crazy, never feel quite clean. I'm familiar with the Aveeno name having used many in the product line at various times in my life. I don't typically change my skin care regimen because the introduction of any new product usually causes breakouts until my skin becomes used to it. That did not happen with Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Facial Nourishing Anti-Aging Cleanser. I found it to be rich and emollient and was pleased at how smoothly it goes on. It completely takes away the makeup buildup of the day, without any need for a toner follow up. I shared the product with my 30 years younger daughter and she likes it too. I like that there are no discernible scents when applying the product, as I prefer to use only use fragrance free skin care products. I have always wanted to try Neutrogena's Classic Transparent Facial Cleansing Bar that has been an American staple ever since it was launched way back in 1954! My mother and her mother used it and has been in our family for generations now. It is a very chic looking mild amber coloured bar that when lathered in warm water creates beautiful luxurious foam that cleanses away the day beautifully! This can be used both morning and night and also on the body if you so desire. There are those however who complain that this product wears out easily. That is because you are not letting it drain properly. I get a full months use out of this little gem with daily use, more if you use it once a day in the evening. Neutrogena's Facial Cleansing Bar is what cosmetic chemists would call a Triethanolamine Soap. That is in combination with Sodium Tallowate and TEA-Stearate, it is a formula that rinses clean with no pore clogging residue. There are those who complain that there skin feels slighty tuggy or sqeaky clean after they use this bar. That is due to the calcium and magnesium in your hard water. This is not a problem with soft water so I recommend you install one in your home (water softener). This can be used either with hands or a washcloth. I'm not a fan of the clarisonic and think it is a waste of money. I have had no problems using this bar and love it! I will continue to buy it and recommend it to all family and friends. Neutrogena gets its name from being considered 'Neutral'. The pH of the product is such that the skin returns to it's acidic balance in just 11 minutes after washing! That's only one minute more than washing with pure water which has a pH of around 7! Hence the name Neutrogena. Due to the extra free glycerin in the formula this soap is not drying like most common bar soaps (Ivory, Irish Spring, Lever 2000, Camay, Palmolive, Jergens, Cuticura etc etc) and therefore is more gentle to your skin. The only exception being SYNDET (synthetic detergent) bar cleansers from DOVE, OIL of OLAY, Drunk Elephant, CeraVe and Cetaphil. Those are all pH balanced if it means anything to you. Neutrogena's Facial cleansing bar is a convenient, handy, economical, thorough yet gentle beauty addition to your skin care routine and I wholeheartedly recommend it. I remember using this soap when I was a teen-ager. And I remember I loved it. But young as I was, I tried the more pricey soaps and the liquid versions. Now, 54 yrs old, been doing double cleansing but as commodity prices get higher, I decided to cut my expenses and was looking for a best single cleansing alternative. Also, I want to save time. Double cleansing can really take up time and that can be irritating when in a hurry (or just lazy)😂. Then I remembered Neutrogena soap. Purchased. On my first use, I couldn’t believe that my face looked and felt cleaner than when I was double cleansing. It didn’t dry my skin and yet was powerful enough to cleanse, remove the oiliness in one washing!!!! My chin and nose area used to feel slightly rough due to dryness even after washing before. I thought my skin was super dry or was developing a skin condition like contact dermatitis. But my use of Neutrogena soap amazingly brought my skin back to normal. It’s kinda crazy that I used soo many stuffs looking for the best cleansing method and tried expensive ones when the answer to my search happened in my teen years😅. Feeling dumb! If you ask me if it is drying?…Nope, it won’t strip the skin mantle. I think this soap is so underrated in this generation! To those who has not tried this, do give it a try and you’ll get what I mean. I have one of the most sensitive skin and choosing the right cleanser has been tough for me. I should have just used this continuously from the start and therefore could have saved a lot of money! And yes, you get high quality cleansing at a much lesser price!! Ain’t going back to double cleansing!🥰The only downside is the strong scent it has. I like the smell it is not awful, it is sweet smell but it is just overpowering. Yet, with the result I got, I can take it. So this is a reminder that if you dont like fragrance, this original formula may not be for you. Skin type: Clear/Combination/Sensitive I was excited to use this product due to the great reviews. The product lathers up very very well – you only need a tiny amount. No scent. This made my skin feel like a layer had been taken off of it… My skin feels very smooth – however, it felt tight and slightly sore. I didn't have a reaction but I just didn't feel as a good as my previous cleanser by Sukin (Australian Brand – can purchase anywhere). Even after using a toner my skin still felt tight. This is a decent foam cleanser. It's relatively inexpensive and does the job, even removes makeup pretty well and leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean afterwards. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because I feel as though it leaves my skin feeling dry and stripped afterwards so it's not a cleanser I would reach out for straight away. I used to never use face wash in the past because washing my face with them would actually GIVE me pimples (my skin has a very sensitive ecosystem) so I never used face wash much. That was before I was introduced to this specific product. I've been using this daily for a couple years now and it's literally the only face wash I'll use. After washing with this face soap my skin feels really soft. I found it didn’t leave my skin feeling like a dried up orange peel like the face soap I normally use. I like that it has Vitamin C in it as I’ve used Vitamin C for a long time and know the awesome benefits. The Botanic tree vitamin C cleanser has a very clean refreshing smell. You can smell all the amazing ingredients it has to offer. I use very gentle cleansers, but tried this one after receiving it as a gift. This Eva Hansen Vitamin C Cleanser has a strong lemony scent with a thicker liquid soap-like texture. It's a little too stripping of my natural face oils and leaves my face feeling taut after washing it off. I wouldn't purchase with my money, but it's not a terrible product. I have combo, sensitive, acne-prone skin and this did not break me out which I'm super thankful for. I am pretty picky with cleansers. I would usually use an oil cleanser followed by a gel cleanser in the evenings however I have been trying to reduce the amount of plastic I use and my skin care is one area where I use a lot of single use plastics. I switched up my cleansing routine so I use the superstar cleanser followed by this and it is working really well. My skin looks healthy and feels comfortable. I can’t really tell whether I prefer this cleanser or the bliss bar so I have been switching up between the two. I do have problematic skin (super oily and acne prone despite being in my 30s) and I was worried that changing up my skincare products would cause breakouts but thankfully it hasn’t. My skin is looking just as good as it had been with much more expensive products.Emma

I should have bought a mini… I couldn't decide between Deep Green and the unscented Bliss Bar, but went for this because it said it was better for oily skin, which is my main concern, where the Bliss Bar is marketed to normal to dry skin. "Natural" beauty consumers don't want to hear this but essential oils, especially citrus, can be extremely irritating to the skin, almost all dermatologists will confirm, as will a simple google search. Deep Green contains both sweet orange essential oil and limonene, but I had hoped it wouldn't be so strong (since ethique doesn't list the concentrations of ingredients on the website) and that I could get away with it as I don't typically have very sensitive skin. I was wrong. The fragrance is so strong and it makes my face red for hours after use. The oils must be pretty highly concentrated because the smell doesn't dissipate from my face for a long time. I love the company and what they stand for but I wish natural skincare companies would stop packing their products full of essential oils, and that they'd list the concentrations of ingredients. If I didn't care about the ecological footprint of returns, I would have already returned this, but as it stands I will likely try to gift it and buy the Bliss Bar next time.Kelsey

I am an Ethique addict and have to try everything, so I tried this, even though I was already really happy with my existing Ethique cleanser (which I think is one you no longer stock). Then I totally fell in love with this one! I think it’s the French clay that makes my skin feel so super soft and smooth after I use it. It also has a very soft and foamy lather. It is great for taking off makeup effectively without being harsh. I only use the Deep Green at night, followed by the Saving Face Serum overnight, and in the morning I use the Bliss Bar on its own without moisturiser so I can put makeup on straight away. This combo works great for me, but I gotta say Deep Green is my absolute favourite product!Julia

It’s addictive and I can’t live without it. I have used this soap, and a similar one to it which is now off the market, (wonder bar), for 10 years. It works incredibly well with my mixed dry oily skin. Leaves my skin feeling baby soft. I can definitely feel a negative effect If i happen to skip a morning or evening wash. The bar lasts a very long time. The price per unit cost is well below cheaper less effective products. If you use the bar twice a day and it last 2 months that costs $.46 / per day. Hardly expensive. This bar happens to work with my skin type. I believe it might not work for all but if it does, you will love itamerica.t

I was really skeptical about DE's cleansing bars because I was worried it was just going to be an overhyped soap bar. Whenever I think of cleansing bars or soaps, I think of that awful squeaky-clean feeling and dry, tight skin. DE was kind enough to send me the travel-size kit and I've been using both the Juju and Peekee bar for two weeks. I use the Juju bar in the morning and the Peekee at night and I'm so impressed with how they work with my skin, I think they're going to be my new cleansers from now on. The Juju bar is my favorite because it makes my skin feel clean without that stripped feeling, neutralized and calm. The small exfoliating bits aren't harsh at all, I think they exfoliate gently but effectively. I'm always excited to wake up and start my morning routine because I know I'll be using this bar. I have very oily skin and I've had acne ever since I hit puberty. I'm not sure if this product alone would combat acne (I use the C-Firma mixed with the B-Hydration gel in the morning, and the TLC mixed with 3-4 drops of the Marula oil at night after I cleanse with the Peekee bar,) but it really helps with keeping my skin calm and clean. I recommend using only DE products because a) they work better together and b) I wholeheartedly believe that this skincare brand WORKS. My skin looks and feels calmer and clearer than it's ever been, no joke. I still get minor breakouts but they're almost always hormonal. I'm so impressed with this brand so I'd recommend trying it out if you can. All in all, a wonderful product from my new favorite skincare brand. I'll be using it indefinitely.kmaryann

Incredible! This product has done wonders for my perioral dermatitis and acne prone skin. It quickly cleared my PD and has kept my skin looking youthful, bright and blemish free. I was worried the bar soap format would dry out my skin but it has done the exact opposite. It removes makeup extremely well and leaves my face feeling moisturized and nourished. This soap is made by the Gods! Not only has it entirely healed my PODerm, but it is a natural moisturizer. I have been using it for two years now, twice daily, I use no other cleansers. At 42, my skin has never been better! I get compliments all the time, which I then send the link for the soap. I have recommended and ordered for many friends, family and even several teens now.
