Gleamin gifted me their Supercharged Balance Serum. When most serums say to use 1-2 pumps I end up using 4 or more because so little product comes out, but this serum pumps out true to size. I received this product complimentary from Gleamin in exchange for an honest review, so here it is — this is actually the first time I’ve ever used a skincare product that contains both vitamin C and niacinamide in the same formulation, and I have to say I am impressed! I have dry/sensitive skin, so I was worried it might be too strong and leave my face red/irritated after application. It did not do this at all. I can’t really speak to the long-term benefits of using this serum (i.e. efficacy at reducing the appearance of wrinkles) as I have only been using this twice/day for the past couple weeks, however in the short-term, this fragrance-free, non-sticky/non-tacky, fast-absorbing serum does impart a nice healthy-looking glow within minutes after application. Since my skin is baseline incredibly dry, I find that I need to layer this serum under a moisturizer, although I bet oily skin types may even be fine without. From looking at the product formulation/ingredients alone, I would give this a 5/5 (clinically-proven actives + free of common irritants like synthetic fragrance, artificial dyes, heavy preservatives, useless fillers, etc). All in all, I plan on continuing to use this serum until it runs out, and plan on purchasing more/incorporating this into my regular skincare routine if it proves to be effective in the long term. This is my first product from gLeamin. and I like it! This serum has a thin gel consistency and a very slight earthy natural scent (no added fragrances). I don't need to use much and it absorbs well. It immediately feels soothing on my skin and my skin feels soft and hydrated. With continued use, I am beginning to see a little glow. It works well for my oily/combo skin but I think anyone will enjoy using this. I love the hygienic pump packaging which works well. I hate to give this a 1 star because it actually works. It doesn’t break my skin out or burn, and it actually evened out my skin tone and made it smoother. Why the negative review then? I can not in all good conscience recommended this to anyone I know or a stranger because the price per portion is absolutely insane. $24 for 0.5oz?!! I read reviews before purchasing this product and read that it smelled awful, but I thought it couldn’t possibly be that bad. No, it’s terrible. So bad that the first time applying it I nearly threw up about 3 times with it sitting on my face. HOWEVER, the applications after the first weren’t bad at all and I was used to it. First the packaging is very cathy because of the light blue boxing and labels. This is a different type of drops bottle that I've seen before. Very wide enough for more product. And made of glass. Directions were well easy to understand as well as the ingredients etc. The dropper is made of glass as well and holds a lot of product when using. I apply this serum twice a week in my morning and night skincare routine after cleaningand toner. The scent is very very much citrus and just like squeezed oranges. The texture is runny so be careful! But thickens up a bit when rubbed in. Glides on pretty well and not too oily. I would recommend using sparsely you don't want to be super moisturized. You can definitely notice right away the moisture from this serum. My skin feels very hydrated, soft and breathable. No hars scents, over drying, oiliness nor breakouts. After washing with this face soap my skin feels really soft. I found it didn’t leave my skin feeling like a dried up orange peel like the face soap I normally use. I like that it has Vitamin C in it as I’ve used Vitamin C for a long time and know the awesome benefits. I really look forward to continued use of this face soap to really see how my skin does with it. According to the packaging, this cleanser resurfaces for smoother, brighter skin. Glycolic acid is listed as the seventh ingredient and salicylic acid is listed as the twelfth ingredient. The first thing I noticed was that the gel consistency is thick and the instructions are to lather a small amount into wet hands and gently massage into skin, otherwise, it’s like putting a gel-mask on the face. Even though the cleanser is fragrance-free, there is a chemical scent that I could not get used to and it was quite off-putting. I did like the cooling sensation on my face, from the menthol. Absolutely love this L’Oréal Paris Revitalift 3.5% Glycolic Acid Resurfacing Gel Wash. My skin never feels so refreshing, clear and smooth before. Clear runny gel wash has pleasant scent. Wish it came in a pump bottle, as I have to be careful when dispensing. After removal of makeup/zinc sunscreen I use it as a second wash. Also as only wash when not wearing spf or makeup (most often not). Usually after regular foaming washes (or milk ones) my skin feels uncomfortable and tightened. Not after using this wash! Leaves my skin so silky, clean, not stripped and skin is so comfortable. Never tight. Love silky juicy feel of the skin after wash. Not dry feel I used to get after similar products. I think this wash is so effective as it had a good pH due to acid content. It is gentle and effective. Love it and will continue repurchasing now. Can't believe noone reviewed this, but this vitamin shot is a 10/10! 1) can be used as a primer: it has a gel consistency that sinks in fast and keeps your face feeling hydrated all day and prevents makeup from cracking, so it lasts longer. 2) if your foundation oxidizes mix a drop of this while applying it.. it will help dramatically. 3) as a general serum it does wonders. not only for my face (gives such a nice glow, after a month of use i have seen my face become less and less dehydrated) but also for my body. Whenever my skin is extra dry i apply some drops and it's wonderful. Doesn't have a smell so it will work on sensitive skin. If I had to find the downside it would be that it's only 30ml, so if you use it everyday it won't really last that much.Veronica
Backstory: So, I'm 36 and in my 20s, I never thought much about taking care of my face. Skin care was not priority. I washed my face with anti-acne face wash, some days I wore makeup, and some days I went without, that was my skincare routine. Wonderfully hydrating. One ingredient is a fermented filtrate often found in Asian skincare. I use this product as a middle step. First, spritz the PF Essence of Healthy Toner onto clean, damp skin. Then a layer of this PF Skin Booster Vitamin Shot. And finally my Cerave daily moisturizer. This combination makes wrinkles and lines appear almost nonexistent! Soft, smooth, glowing plumped-up Skin! So pleased. Be careful with the dropper applicator. This thin gel clings to it in such a way that it’s easy to accidentally wipe it onto the outside of the neck or the bottle. I've never had sensitive skin. I'm 25 and have never dealt with acne, other than hormonal. I started using the even tone cleansing kit…so the bar, the serum, retinol, and sunscreen. i followed the directions for frequency and usage. within a couple of days my skin was peeling, which I read was normal. I gave it a few days, and i developed a rash around my mouth and chin that I've never had before, with tiny, itchy bumps that would get worse if I was outside sweating. it was horrible and i did not leave my house for days. I stopped using the products cold turkey and just went to a very mild face wash and moisturizer and the rash went away after 4 or 5 days. I don't know how you would know if you will have a bad reaction unless you try it, but if you feel any negative effects, stop using immediately.Amelia
i started using this sometime in june. i noticed i started getting a super dry patch of skin around my lip. i didn’t really think anything of it as i had gotten a bad sunburn a few weeks before and thought it was probably just from that. as i started to get towards the bottom of this container, i noticed the product had much darker beads of wash, again, didn’t really think much of it i continued using it. then i got another disgusting dry patch of skin on my bottom lip and it was so bad that i couldn’t go 30 minutes without applying aquaphor because it was itchy, dry, and burning. the last time i used this product my face literally felt like it was burning. like i had sat in the florida sun for hours with no sunscreen. i returned the product and 2 days later my lip already started going back to normal and was no longer dry and itchy. i would beware of chemical burns and this is definitely NOT FOR SENSITIVE SKIN.kamrynb
Ok, hear me out. I have been using this cleanser for a little over a week. Things I like? Sponge is pretty great. The product leaves my face feeling nice and clean. As far as evening my skin tone, mayyy see a little difference already? Butttt I’m not saying that the product itself doesn’t work, but before using this product I NEVER washed my face with a sponge. I typically used my hands or maybe a washcloth. The sponge really encourages you to lather up and scrub. Almost like you’re trying to erase those pesky dark spots. So my question is, is the product working to even your skin tone or is it the fact that you have this nifty little sponge that is exfoliating your skin morning and night, every day, where before this product that wasn’t happening?? So, am I happy with the product, yes. Will I buy it again? Right now I’ll say yes, but I’ll see when I finish it off what progress my skin has made. Is it the product or the sponge?? After giving multiple birth, I enter the mommy depletion facial zone. Desperately I search for a product that would bring back radiance. This did the job but after a year of daily use, I did appeared a little washed out. I am medium/ brown tone. I was looking light brown on the face and warm on the rest of my body. So I started alternating it with regular Olay face wash and it balanced it out. If I appeared discolored again, I'll use this product daily. The bad part is that it doesn't seem to wash out make up/foundation very good. I had to double wash, wash with regular face soap or buy make up remover.Gabby
I love this face wash so much I’ve paid extra for it on eBay cause it’s no longer on the shelves of any stores around me. I don’t know if you have discontinued this specific one with the exfoliating beads? I’m disappointed I wasted my time with the people selling it on EBay and Amazon, the product was watered down. I looooove this! It's an extremely gentle exfoliating cleanser. I only use it once a week as a physical exfoliater since I use a PHA cleansing balm 2x daily. What I love about this cleanser is the creamy feeling. It's very rich and the micro beads don't feel like I'm scrubbing my skin away. It's rinses easily and leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated and clean and bright. A little goes a long way. Be warned is has (nice smelling) fragrance. A great cleanser at a great price.myrna.v

Since I began using this system, I've seen a noticeable difference in the brightness and texture of my skin. I have been using retinol .1, Vitamins C serums and discoloration for 2 years and really happy with the results. My skin looks brighter, sun spots faded and almost become invisible. Lately I added a red light therapy mask in my skin care routine which really helps the skin firmness. I've been plagued by sensitive/reactive/difficult skin for most of my adult life and received diagnoses that range from acne through peri-oral dermatitis to, most recently, rosacea. Even dermtologists don't seem to be sure what the problem is. Al I can definitely say is that azealic acid is great at calming things down. It's not miraculous: it has taken more than six months' of usage for me to see a marked improvement but, in my opinion, it works to reduce inflammation, smooth texture and even pigmentation. I apply it (generously) only at night because it is just one layer too many during the daytime, under sun protection cream and foundation. It may have a quicker effect for those who use for an entire 24 hours. For reference, I can't tolerate any form I've so far tried of retinolid but the azealic acid has never irritated my skin.. I use it in combination with niacinimide on spot-prone areas. A month agao I stopped taking the long term antibiotic I was prescribed for its anti-inflammatory rather than anti-microbial effect because it never worked very consistently or well on its own, and because I was worried about the side effects. The positive results from the azaelic acid have given me the confidence to bin the pills and – so far – my face is doing fine.Jeremiad
This has been a life saver while pregnant. I haven't had much acne in my life but when I got pregnant it seemed to flare up worse than ever. A lot of the other products I would use for other skincare concerns or sporadic acne I was unable to use while pregnant. I first bought the smaller size which is only 10 dollars then the large size for 20. It does not get any better than that. The large tube has lasted me two months so far and still has a ton left in it. I definitely can't use this product alone because it can go on a little dry., I do have dryer skin though. The ordinary always delivers with the bests price and quality products that work. I love how the products are simple, no fragarance and takes most of the guessing out of the equation. As a preface, I'm trying to cut out actives from my routine that are for proactive prevention, and am substituting those for actives that address problems I currently have with my skin as my skin is sensitive. I bought this and used it every day for a week when I started breaking out on my forehead, chin, and cheeks. Most of my acne is on my cheeks, but breaking out on my forehead and chin was new so I knew it was because of this product. I really want to love this since I know azelaic acid is good for both active acne and acne scars. I followed the instructions on the box and applied this after serums and before moisturizers. The only other active I use at the moment is niacinamide (and propolis, not sure if that counts as an active ingredient), see my routine below for more details. Any tips or suggestions from fellow acne-prone/sensitive skin people would be greatly appreciated! I got this originally in a FFF box. The scent is pretty strong but is lovely and doesn't linger too long. It makes my skin feel SO SOFT, and it feels really good during application. Lasts forever! I have very dry skin, and it does a really good job hydrating it, although occasionally I do have to reach for some stronger cream. I have been dealing with some weird dryness issues since moving to North Carolina. I now have super dry skin with a very active oily t-zone later in the day. Over the last year here my face started to look aged with lines and dullness (even dark spots started to appear? What is that about?) and then something from my eye/eye lash flushed to the corner of my eye and created a redness that wouldn't go away. There was some relief putting a tea tree toner and witch hazel back into my routine, I found night creams that I ended up loving. But non of it long lasting and giving me the results I knew my skin was cabaple of. I was walking around the Ulta Store yesterday looking for a new face wash and decided to try Korres. I also saw this this rose night cream next to it. Another cream claiming they could improve dark spots? Sure I'll give it a try. I woke up the next day with skin I haven't had in over a year! The red rash patch near my eye? In one night it is almost gone! Korres was exactly what my skin needed. I was so excited to try the product and have a usually strong tolerance to scents – but holy lord did this one take the cake. I put it in my hand and held my breath as I smeared it all over my face and neck. I left it for maybe 30 seconds with my eyes still closed and that was a no from me dawg. I immediately ran to the bathroom (eyes opened at this point lol) and RE-WASHED my face and scrubbed the scent off as much as I could. I washed again and used a well scented soap for my hands and picked a NEW moisturizer. IDK if mine was a rouge horrid smelling one but good holy miss moly I could NOT do it.Lauren B.
