I like this toner because it delivers on its claims and doesn’t dry my skin out. It shrinks my pores and reduces oil for a few hours and clears the junk out of my pores. I see some additional color in it which I’m not a big fan of but it is at the very bottom of the ingredient list so from what I know it isn’t a high amount. There isn’t added fragrance which I like. It just doesn’t do anything long term or lasting. The results only show for about 24-48 hours. I apply it as you would and essence and with a reusable cotton round and I get the same results. I like it because it doesn’t sting or leave me feeling dry or cause uncomfortable tightening. I will re-purchase. I think the price for quality and amount are fair, too. I would give this product a 2 star. They never published my review that I wrote earlier that was a 2 star which makes me mad. This did nothing to my skin. Didn’t see any difference. It was pretty much just fragranced liquid. The smell of it was so strong it gave me a headache. Smelled so sweet and so b a d. So if you have a fragrance reaction, please d o n t b u y. I would n o t recommend this and I would advise you save you $20 for something that will do something great for your skin and that makes you happy. I am not a big fan of toners and always feel they can be quite harsh on the skin, so never really use them, and after sampling this I think I will be sticking to my original plan. The fact this was advertised as a 'gentle toner', made me curious to see if I would notice any difference in my skin. When I noticed, however, that there is a heavy amount of fragrance in the ingredients list, I am certain it's not the gentlest of toners. I applied some onto a cotton ball and after cleansing, patted it onto my dry face and upper neck area. My face did sting slightly around the eye area, but I thought it was the product just settling in. In all honesty after a few uses, I didn't really notice any difference to my skin, apart from the texture which became slightly drier, certainly not more uniform or tight looking. If I am paying a bit more for a toner, I would expect to see something positive at least, but this just didn't cut it for me. I received this @kiehls Calendula Herbal-Extract Alcohol Free Toner from @bloomingdales #sopost It helps soothe redness as far as I can tell, but I only had a few red spots. It's alcohol free has no perfume in it, so it's great for sensitive skin. The only thing I didn't like was these brown pieces are floating in the bottle as you can see in the pic with my cotton round, it looks a bit off putting. The pieces don't come off on my face, but I'm not really thrilled seeing that on my cotton round, so I have to deduct a star. I definitely recommend giving this toner a try. Ive tried d so many toners and this is by far is the most suitable for my combination skin type. The toner is so lightweight that it literally feels just like water on your hands. You might want to reapply if you want to feel more hydration your face. In my case I just get a couple drops pt it dry then apply my liquid essence to feel more hydrated. So what does calendula does to your skin? On their website it states that it reduces redness, oiliness and improve skin’s texture it also reduce the appearance of pores. I am a huge fan of the properties of rose water. My favorite, which was made from Bulgarian roses, used to cost me about $32 but that price was getting a little too pricey. Cocokind's formula is the same quality but at a price I can afford even with Bulgarian roses! When I was getting near to running out, I even ordered the jumbo rosewater toner to keep refilling this bottle. I love this product. I use it every morning and night as a second cleanser after washing my face. It’s gentle and I love the smell. I received this toner in my fabfitfun box and I am very happy to say I have repurchased this toner 4 times since then. I had never heard of Skin and Co. before receiving that product but once I tried it my skin completely changed. I am 21 years old and I have oily and clogged skin. I was really excited to receive this toner in my Causebox. My mistake: I did not really understand the intended purpose of this toner. I figured “truffle therapy” meant it would be a nourishing toner…I was wrong. This is more of an exfoliating toner, and I was using it way more than I should have, which was making my skin SO dry. I used to love the dermatologica products as they were always recommended for my mildly sensitive skin (nt: I can still use drug store products so I’m not super sensitive). This toner burns within 2-3 seconds of it being on my face and I end up with red blotches so I’m unable to use it at all. Initially I thought it was maybe an interaction with my moisturiser, so swapped that out but no luck. Dermalogica is the brand that I was first introduced to in 2004 years when I started taking care of my skin. I used this toner for years!! I didn’t branch out and try anything else. Lol At the time I had very oily, acneic skin and it worked great. I still use this (along with other timers on and off) today and have sensitive, combo toward dry, rosacea skin and it works great. It worked for both skin types. It does have a fragrance but never bothered me. I love the scent. It sprays out nicely, but you can also spray it onto a cotton or reusable pad. So good. I’ve never really been impressed by any toner that I’ve used in my skincare routines. I don’t invest much time in that step. In fact I’ve often skipped it. The comes in a glass bottle and it’s a spray toner. Usually toners that I’ve used I put on a cotton pad. This is directly sprayed on to the face . So you get a lovely cooling mist all over your face as well as a scent of lemon, kind of aromatherapy fragrance. The directions say to pat it in your skin after. I’m amazed that it absorbs so quickly. I have to pat very very little. My skin actually feels so nice after I’ve used it. It feels like it’s doing what a toner is supposed to! My skin feels cleansed and ready for my next steps. I find myself looking forward to this part of my routine now. I used to just grab any oul toner! I have been using this product for 25+ years and continue to love it. I use it every day before moisturizing. It can be hard to find and even harder to find a deal on it. I LOVE that I don’t have to use a cotton pad. So easy! This comes in a glass spray bottle. The best part is it’s such a nice mist. It’s not harsh like some other sprays. My face instantly feels refreshed. The directions say “After morning and evening cleansing, mist into the face, neck, and décolleté then gently press into the skin.” I never press it into the skin because I just let it dry naturally then continue with my skin care routine. I actually look forward to spraying this onto my face! It balances and repairs with very gentle and pure ingredients. I don’t like floral smells and this doesn’t have that. It is a very light pleasant mild smell. Almost like a natural, herbal aromatherapy scent. After using this, my skin feels nourished and enlivened. Like I said, it’s so refreshing. I was initially hesitant to use this product as it's more for drier skin types, and I have oily acne-prone skin with large pores. I was worried this would break me out or feel too heavy for my skin. I was wrong and completely surprised at how much I love this toner. I use it morning and night and only use a little bit, two or three shakes of the container. I apply it on damp skin and follow it with my regular routine. I've only used this for four or five days but I'm amazed at how calm and plump my skin looks. I really didn't think that was possible for my skin. This toner does everything it says it'll do-my skin is less red and irritated looking, my pores are less noticeable, and my skin just looks really healthy and hydrated. I bought this product for my 14 year old suffering from acne (I think hormonal.) It immediately caused redness & irritation. He told me my face is burning. The next day we saw some small red patches on his face where he had no problems as a matter of fact those areas on his face still have the look of baby face. Let me tell you why we still give it 4 stars. He had some big and stubborn Blackheads on his nose and when he woke up we can see them closer to the surface and we were able to remove at least one big one without a problem. I believe this happened after the 2nd time he used the product. He is taking a break from it, but wants to try it again just on the nose to see if the rest of the blackheads come out to the surface so that we can extract them without damaging the skin. I cannot be without toner. I think it's such an essential step in my skincare routine. I love that this claims to refine pores. I have very large pores specially on my nose and I have noticed that they look smaller when I apply this toner. My skin looks less dull too after using it daily and my texture looks more refined. Toners always help with the extra boost my skin needs. This toner has hyaluronic acid, lipidure, and beta glucan. Hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite go-to ingredients for hydration. This toner does not fail and does a good job of hydrating my skin. Recently, I tried a cleanser that dried out my skin (will be doing a review of it, keep an eye out!) and I used this a lot to get my skin hydrated afterwards. The toner is also super gentle and my skin absorbs it very fast. It does feel sticky afterwards (yay!). The texture is thicker than I expected and not too watery or runny. It’s super easy to work with in my opinion. So this will probably sound a little strange, but it almost smells like aftershave to me. I actually like the smell of aftershave and this toner but it is a little strong. The company has an unscented version of this toner. For anyone who is sensitive to smell, I would recommend trying the unscented version. Applying after cleansing really feels like putting back into your skin what you took out with cleansing. It's super lightweight and if your skin's like mine, you can easily follow with a serum and a moisturizer/spf. It's completely fragrance free and cruelty free. What's not to love? Does it work? I've been using this product for a short while; it's been on my radar for some time because I was interested in incorporating the science-proven benefits of green tea into my routine. The bottle used in packaging is a light brown, so as to protect the ingredients from UV degradation. To start, this product has the consistency of water; the color is brown, and while not fragranced, has a light woodsy scent because of the botanical contents. I apply immediately after cleansing, and I've found this product to be very soothing for my sensitive skin. I loved this toner! This changed my definition of toner forever! I would toss a small pool of this into my palm and then splash it onto my skin without a sponge/cotton pad – after washing/cleansing my face. You can use this in the morning or evening without overdrying your skin. The smell is refreshing and without that harsh alcohol stinging feel like 99% of toners out there. You know it's healing your skin without the pain/tingling feeling. The green tea is the plus point about this toner. I finished my first bottle and would gladly order a second bottle however, it's too large for me to carry as I travel a lot. I wish they did have a 3 oz size toner.AK
I love this stuff. I hadn't heard of the brand or product before but a friend unloaded a load of skincare onto me that she didn't use anymore, and this was in the bundle. At first I thought it was a bit icky and potentially cruel because of the snail mucus element, but after doing some research I found that the snails aren't killed for the product, but there snail trails are farmed without harm to them. I tried it and thought it was pretty good, but then since becoming pregnant and having to stop using some of my most loved products including Retinol, I tried this again and absolutely love it. It doesn't really have a scent, it absorbs easily and is a serum like texture. You can drop a load onto your hand and cover your face in it, and you will wake up with lovely soft skin which (i think) looks rejuvenated. The only downside is when you get near the end of the bottle, it's hard to get the product out as it comes with a little dripper but this isn't a huge deal. I've repurchased since using the last of my friend's bottle.

This was first time I tried this toner though have been using the rest of the products from the "Ultra Facial" line for ages. I love the texture of it, this tones is so moisturising. In the evenings, to give my skin an extra bit of a clean, I use it with a cotton pad. In the mornings, I can just apply a little with my hands – this saves lots of the product. Great in a combination with pretty much any face cream due to its texture, I tried it with 5 or 6 – works well, no contradiction with other products! I really enjoyed using this toner as it didn't leave a sticky residue unlike many other toners I've used, and it's really light. I've been using it for around 2 months now, and my redness and acne has decreased slowly but steadily. I use this along with the COSRX good morning low Ph cleanser, Paula's choice exfoliator, and neutrogena moisturizer for extra dry skin. As someone who is an avid skin care person I was excited to try this because I'm a huge fan of the brand. Because my skin is sensitive it's important that I look at the ingredients. Well, the second ingredient is propylene glycol. There's never a reason to have THAT much in a skin care product. Anyway, I saw glycolic acid was relatively high on the list which is good! But I still needed to know how much. The vast majority of brands will say what percentage of glycolic acid is in their product because it's important to know, especially if someone has sensitive skin. Well the email I received back said that they can't tell me because it's "proprietary" information. Um… what? It's not like it's a secret ingredient or I'm gonna go buy glycolic acid, get a chemistry degree, and then make it on my own! Why is it such a secret? If there's a decent amount then why not boast about it? My guess is there's barely enough to do much which is why you would need to use it twice a day along with the matching cleanser in order for it to do anything at all. This leads me to believe that the product simply isn't worth it. If a brand won't disclose a percentage of an ingredient that literally peels your skin off then stay away. Stay far, far away. Believe me. Your skin will thank you. No more of this brand for me. It's not worth the risk.
I've been incorporating Mario Badescu's Glycolic Acid Cleanser for all skin types for well over a decade or so now because the formula works. Although it has fragrance and dyes, if used correctly I recommend this product to someone who has excess sebum production. I do not recommend using this product every day or along with a strong retinoid/tretinoin. I use it once a week unless I have irritated skin or a break out situation that is inflamed. The directions do warn people about this on the bottle, which I do appreciate. I do not mind fragrance and dyes in a cleanser so long as they're going to be rinsed off directly after. If your skin is sensitive to fragrance, I would not recommend this particular cleanser. It does cost near $20, but it lasts about a year so I feel the product is well worth the price. My skin loves having a chemical exfoliant once in a while or once a week since my skin is dry currently and acne-prone. I don't get a tight feeling after using this so long as I follow up with a the Glycolic Acid Toner. Remember SPF when using these products, always do a patch test, don't neglect your neck, and rub your skin in a circular motion when cleansing. Just not for everyday use!! Follow directions on bottle for THIS product and then you will get the full benefit! I use different skincare products, but have stayed loyal to Mario Badescu's Glycolic Acid Cleanser and Toner for well over a decade!abra.l
I LOVE this stuff💖🤩 (As you can see in my MB toner collection photo😅 lol.) I’ve been using this toner for 4+ years and it has definitely become a necessary staple in my skin care regimen! I have always had a bit of facial redness (off and on) on my face and few things help to get the #redness away. THIS IS ONE of them! This toner helps to relieve redness, improve clarity, improve skin tone, and slightly improve my overall skin texture. I know that the #MarioBadescu brand gets a really BAD rap for being overly fragranced, artificial coloring, and unnecessary additives, but I’m 100% convinced that this toner WORKS✅ I’m semi-sensitive to strong fragrances and this scent doesn’t bother me. It reminds me of the smell of something “clean”. My skin goes back and forth from being CLEAR to light/light+ acne and every time I have achieved #CLEARSKIN this toner was part of my regular regimen. I have tried going without it, and every time I do I see a BIG DIFFERENCE (negatively) in my skin😱 I would recommend this product to anyone worried about redness, acne, and texture. I don’t think it actually helps treat acne but it does help to remove left over make up debris and improve the skins overall tone/ clarity💖🤗 Also if you end up liking the toner you can buy the LARGE size and save money! This is my first First Aid Beauty products and I must say I really like it! So much that it will be a permanent skincare product in my routine. I love oat products, this one has colloidal oat, wild oat and honey. It works on all skin types, mine being combination. Currently halfway through my 3rd bottle! This stuff is great to put right after you wash your face, when its still damp, and before you apply your serums/treatments. My skin get dry easily, especially after washing, so this is great to avoid that tightened feeling. IMO, it's better than the Laneige Cream Skin. I have really dry thirsty skin during the Winter months and nothing I would buy ever helped it, I would apply loads of moisturizer but a couple of hours later I'd be re-applying it because my skin would loose the moisturizer feeling and go right back to feeling dry and like I hadn't used a moisturizer at all and I could see dry patches all over my face and my pores were horrible and huge well that is until this Amazing Perfect toner came into my life! While I used a gift card to purchase this tonic, these are my honest opinions. Details: This tonic is a liquid exfoliator formulated with fruit AHAs niacinamide, Japanese mugwort & wild rose. Designed to event both texture & skin tone as well as calm & leave your skin smooth. Recommended for combination or oily skin. Liquid exfoliation is gentle & removes dead skin cells to help with congested pores. In addition to the above, the tonic has the scent of the sweet fennel & rosemary oil to minimize excess sebum & oil creation while it boosts your mood. This is a cruelty-free product My experience: For reference, I have oily, sensitive, acne prone skin with some redness & sensitivity. This is a yellow, watery tonic that removes dead skin cells, oil, & dirt as well as unclogs pores. It has a lovely scent that isn’t too strong. I’ve been using this since 1/17 & my sensitive skin hasn’t experienced any irritation. I do take care not to use it when I’m using retinol. My skin is more even & smooth with a healthy glow. This doesn’t dry out my skin luckily nor does it leave a sticky/oily residue. I also notice it helps with oil reduction. you can see lightening of my hyperpigmentation (not including the random breakout). Overall: I am LOVING the results I’m seeing so far from my use of this Tatcha tonic. My skin is smoother, more even & with less oil. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin or leave my skin dry or oily. This retails for $59 which is steep. This is my second bottle and I won’t ever be without it! I battle bouts of hormonal acne thanks to PCOS so I always seem to have congested skin no matter what I do (I’ve tried everything including a variety of medical interventions!). I noticed quite a drastic improvement 3-4 weeks after commencing use – my redness was minimised to just my nose (normally spread across my whole T-section and cheeks) and my skin was so much smoother! Three months after starting use I noticed that my breakouts were far less severe and reduced to only 1 or 2 spots. I’m a huge fan of Tatcha products but this one is my absolute favourite. Contrary to directions, I use it twice a day directly after cleansing, and I apply a generous splash in my palms directly to my face (just like applying an essence and patting in gently) rather than losing product on a cotton pad. I’ve had no issues with “over use” with my sensitive and reactive skin!Auburn86
I like this exfoliating toner a lot, as it definitely works, yet is still gentle enough that it would be an ideal starting point for anyone looking to try out/begin using chemical exfoliants in their skincare routine, or for when you want to help prevent congestion. Despite applying this immediately after cleansing (which is when you should apply a liquid exfoliant and/or toner), I did find that it took a while to sink in fully, which I suspect is due to the various plant oils included in the ingredients – it's not necessarily a bad thing, since the oils can help offset dryness caused by the acids, but conversely, they can also be irritants on some skin (particularly those sensitive to essential oils). It's not a deal breaker, especially since it didn't cause any subsequent absorption issues with any of the products I applied afterwards, but still worth noting. If you like to use multiple products afterwards, definitely give them time to sink in to avoid pilling. I think this will be more useful in warmer weather at reducing oil, and it does help a bit in evening out skin. Definitely depends on your skin type and the climate. I never knew what a good toner could do until I bought this. I always thought toners were very stripping and drying- leaving that tight feeling where it hurts to open your mouth lol! This is the total opposite, firstly it’s much thicker than typical toners. You can actually pat it in rather than swiping on a cotton pad. It prepares your skin for serums and moisturizers. I love the light, clean scent of this and the refreshing, cool feel of the gel itself, so I really wanted to love it. But I will probably not repurchase because the gel/lotion consistency is a bit too thick for me (doesn't swipe onto skin well with a cotton ball — kind of just drags over skin), and the packaging is horrible. I noticed some previous reviews mentioned the hard plastic and can't squeeze product out, but I thought it might have SOME flexibility — nope! It's as rigid as glass, with a stopper that only "drips" the product out. I might have thrown the whole thing out until I realized I could pop that stopper out and use it as an open-neck top. All that said, there's nothing terrible about the actual product itself it you like the consistency.melissarx
Innisfree is a great brand to start with if you’re getting into K beauty. It’s incredibly affordable and the ingredients aren’t too controversial. There is fragrance, so there definitely is that to watch out for, but this is by far my favorite product in this entire line. It’s cool, calming, and sinks into the skin quickly. It never leaves me oily or anything—but I will say it doesn’t hydrate that much. I like using it after the gym because my face gets really flushed. It says it’s a toner, but it really shouldn’t be applied with the traditional cotton swab. Be sure to pat it in! It smells really great, though, and plays well with other steps in any skin care routine because it does go away so quickly. The bottle lasts a long time! I included a photo without the cap so you can see how the product comes out (good design in my opinion!). I probably wouldn’t repurchase just because it doesn’t really do much.kyra.d

I have never tried a toner in the form of a mist and I have to say that Beekman 1802's Milk Shake Hyaluronic Acid & Squalane Facial Toner Mist is a total game change. I love the concept and the application of the product is so simple to use! All you have to do is shake the bottle to activate its ingredients and spray generously to your face! The toner immediately sets in without leaving behain a sticky or oily residue on your face and instantly provides up to 8 hours of hydration to your skin! The size of this aesthetically pleasing bottle gives you quite a generous amount of product, making it well worth the price tag! The ingredients in this toner make it super unique to other facial toners I have tried in the past. The mugwort in the mist helps reduce redness of the skin which is super helpful in calming my rosacea, while the goat milk extract helps keep it nourished and balanced. The squalane and jojoba oil work in tandem to promote healthy skin hydration and lock in moisture without clogging up your pores. Would definitely recommend if you love skincare products and have sensitive skin!
I've used Beekman 1802 products in the past and have always enjoyed them because I have such sensitive skin. Their products have never irritated my skin at all, so when I got the chance I was very excited to try this product. This facial toner mist is a game changer! I love the easy use application. All that you have to do is shake the product together to activate the ingredients and spray on your face as much as you want! I've used this product for a little over a month straight. It leaves my face feeling extremely refreshed while not leaving it with an oily residue. It has helped minimize my pores in a subtle way, is helping alleviate the redness from my skin, while also leaving it VERY hydrated. There's a generous amount of product to be used, which makes it worth the process you pay! I will continue to use this product and highly recommend others to try it!
As a licensed medical esthetician, I definitely feel it's my duty to try products out that could be good for my clients, even if we don't sell that product in our medical clinic. What caught my eye about this delightful product was the use of squalane. I've been aware of this ingredient as far back as 1992, and had tried it then and realized its benefits. Only is issue is the sourcing of squalene, which is called sqaulane once it's been processed, and that was coming from shark livers in the past. I did see this squalane is derived from plants, which is a relief. But it's still an ongoing issue, so always check the sourcing out if it has squalane. Happily,.no issues here and I've used this product every day since purchasing in Sept. It really added a nice layer of hydration and sets my skin up for my serums and moisturizer, and then makeup. I have recommended it to my mature skinned clients and also bec the humidity can get low and dry here in Los Angeles. I really love this product for all it does for combination skin. And now I'm going to order a few for clients and my bestie for Xmas. For the price, it's really worth it and the fine mist goes along way. It does take quite a lot to "saturate cotton ball or swab" so instead I put some in the palm of my hand and rub on my face and it works just as well. Although the fragrance is the same as the Hyaluronic Gel Cushion Cleanser, I would prefer if there was less perfume in the products. As more and more people are having odor sensitivities, and more and more places, including the office, are requesting and identify themselves as "scent free", we become used to less scents so our noses become sensitive to fragrances. I adore this new toner and the ingredients! Love that the AHA's are Lactic, Malic, and Mandelic rather than being loaded with Glycolic, for those of us sensitive to glycolic! Works beautifully for my dry/combo skin when used every other day or night… definitely can't use 2x day as instructions allow, or I dry out too badly. My only complaint is the fragrance is quite "perfume" heavy and I don't care for it at all. I am in love with this so far. I’ve been using it for about a week and a half and love how moisturized it makes my skin feel. I use a prescription retinol and just finished a beach vacation. Definitely have drier skin in part because of retinol. I like to apply this product to damp skin before going in with the rest of my skincare. It helps with retaining moisture so much, I love it. It does have a bit of a scent but it’s really pleasant and I find that it goes away after applying pretty quickly. This product has a nice texture that is thin enough to be a toner but not so thin that you need a cotton round to apply it. Just squeeze a bit in your hand and you don’t have to worry about it running down your arms while you’re trying to apply it. The packaging is unique, and I wish it were a bit easier to squeeze, but is really nice and very aesthetically pleasing. All in all, I’m loving this toner and will definitely buy it once I run out. I'm a 25 year old male. I sample a lot of different skin care brands and products and I always give an honest review about what I think. I received this Fenty Skin product as a sample product as well, and this time is no different. Overview: This isn't the first Fenty Skin product I've tried and it won't be the last. Everything I've tried from Fenty is high-quality and worth every penny in my opinion. I exercise a lot and I live in Texas where it's incredibly hot, and all that sweating and heat tends to dry up my skin. I've tried many moisturizers, but this one is different, as it's not a moisturizer, it's a toner that hydrates. I was skeptical when I first poured it into my hand, as it felt heavy and gooey, but boy when it touched my face I instantly knew it was a game changer. I've been using it for about a week and half now and my girlfriend has already complimented me on how good my face looks. This product helps your face recover from dry skin and keeps it moisturized/hydrated, all while evening out your skin tone. PROS: – The only product I've used that helps with my dry skin, WHILE also not feeling gross when sweating during workout or Texas heat – Evens out skin and reduces look of pours. – Hydration titan. – The bottle design. I like the twist head piece, as pumps tend to be harder to travel with and are more likely to leak. – Good for any time. I usually use Kiehls for nighttime moisturizer, but I'm going to start alternating with Kiehl's and this from now on. It's definitely my go-to now for daytime after my morning shower.
