My son has very sensitive skin and was prone to acne, but most acne medications dried his skin up way to much. I always use witch Hazel after cleansing my face, to remove any left over residue. So I thought, hmmm I wonder if it would help him? So to make it easier and less “girl product”, I bought a screw top reusable plastic container (the one in the photo is by Ziploc) and loaded it with a package of cotton rounds. If you notice in the photo, I separated them and then arranged them slightly overlapping each one. This helps to remove one each time. I then liberally pour the witch Hazel onto the pads. As they soak up the liquid, you can usually get the rest of the single sleeve in there. Make sure they are soaked through. But not leaving a puddle in the bottom of the container. Now they are great cleansing pads, but without the salicylic or benzoyl acids, that dry out the skin. The witch Hazel pads remove any left over soaps or cleansers, excess oil from sweating etc, and really do help your skin at the same time. My son can now quickly use these pads in the morning before school, after school and before bed without his skin drying, and now his skin looks and feels great.andi.b

The product is extremely gentle on my skin and leaves no traces of dryness. By the way, my skin is oily, but it gets dehydrated quickly and is very demanding. I received this toner in my fabfitfun box and I am very happy to say I have repurchased this toner 4 times since then. I had never heard of Skin and Co. before receiving that product but once I tried it my skin completely changed. I am 21 years old and I have oily and clogged skin. I figured “truffle therapy” meant it would be a nourishing toner…I was wrong. This is more of an exfoliating toner, and I was using it way more than I should have, which was making my skin SO dry. Texture is not watery but more like a syrup. It has a mild floral scent which disappears quickly after applying. Skin appears to be hydrated and glow after use. I've heard of this brand via Korean youtubers so when I saw it was on sale I grabbed two lol. The packaging is nice – it comes in a sturdy plastic bottle, so it's not as fragile and heavy as glass but also doesn't feel cheap. Maybe I've bought into the hype, but the toner is quite hydrating and not like the watery kind. It's a touch sticky, but nothing too unbearable so I like it. So good. I’ve never really been impressed by any toner that I’ve used in my skincare routines. I don’t invest much time in that step. In fact I’ve often skipped it. The comes in a glass bottle and it’s a spray toner. Usually toners that I’ve used I put on a cotton pad. This is directly sprayed on to the face . So you get a lovely cooling mist all over your face as well as a scent of lemon, kind of aromatherapy fragrance. The directions say to pat it in your skin after. I’m amazed that it absorbs so quickly. I have to pat very very little. My skin actually feels so nice after I’ve used it. It feels like it’s doing what a toner is supposed to! I have been using this product for 25+ years and continue to love it. I use it every day before moisturizing. It can be hard to find and even harder to find a deal on it. I used to love the dermatologica products as they were always recommended for my mildly sensitive skin (nt: I can still use drug store products so I’m not super sensitive). This toner burns within 2-3 seconds of it being on my face and I end up with red blotches so I’m unable to use it at all. Initially I thought it was maybe an interaction with my moisturiser, so swapped that out but no luck. Then I thought it’s maybe because I usually use the superfoliant (exfoliater) so skipped that but also no luck. Do not recommend at all if you have even just mildly sensitive skin.Mm1990

Dermalogica is the brand that I was first introduced to in 2004 years when I started taking care of my skin. I used this toner for years!! I didn’t branch out and try anything else. Lol At the time I had very oily, acneic skin and it worked great. I still use this (along with other timers on and off) today and have sensitive, combo toward dry, rosacea skin and it works great. It worked for both skin types. It does have a fragrance but never bothered me. I love the scent. It sprays out nicely, but you can also spray it onto a cotton or reusable pad. I would give this product a 2 star. They never published my review that I wrote earlier that was a 2 star which makes me mad. This did nothing to my skin. Didn’t see any difference. It was pretty much just fragranced liquid. The smell of it was so strong it gave me a headache. Smelled so sweet and so b a d. So if you have a fragrance reaction, please d o n t b u y. I would n o t recommend this and I would advise you save you $20 for something that will do something great for your skin and that makes you happy. I am not a big fan of toners and always feel they can be quite harsh on the skin, so never really use them, and after sampling this I think I will be sticking to my original plan. The fact this was advertised as a 'gentle toner', made me curious to see if I would notice any difference in my skin. When I noticed, however, that there is a heavy amount of fragrance in the ingredients list, I am certain it's not the gentlest of toners. I applied some onto a cotton ball and after cleansing, patted it onto my dry face and upper neck area. My face did sting slightly around the eye area, but I thought it was the product just settling in. In all honesty after a few uses, I didn't really notice any difference to my skin, apart from the texture which became slightly drier, certainly not more uniform or tight looking. If I am paying a bit more for a toner, I would expect to see something positive at least, but this just didn't cut it for me. I started using avene products about a year ago. I really liked them so I started buying different products. Using a regular toner was too harsh for my skin, so I stopped all together. Until I saw this on the website. It has great reviews, so I figured I would try it. Best decision for my dry sensitive skin. It makes my skin so soft and much smoother. It does a great job moisturizing my skin, without breakouts. My skin just looks better after using this. I love this toner! I’ve previously been turned away from toners because so many of them market themselves as exfoliators or an extra cleanse, but once I got this one, I can’t do my skincare routine without it! This toner markets itself as a 2-in-1, softening and hydrating the skin. The formula is a thin, watery consistency that I find soaks into the skin immediately. I pour a small amount into my hands and rub / pat the product into my skin. It layers well with other serums and moisturizers. Some reviews will say it leaves a tacky or oily residue, but I’ve never experienced this and actually love the way it makes my skin look and feel. After consistent use, this product has completely changed the way my skin looks and feels and I don’t go a morning or night without using it. What really sold me was when I layered this with my retinol and then my AHA/BHA serum. This toner provided the perfect base for more abrasive/irritating skincare products (truly changed the game for me!). I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, but especially those with dry skin. This is a natural defence for tea leaves in response to decreased exposure to sunlight, but now to the interesting part… 🍦Cream blending technology: chemically impressive af, Laneige accomplished something that’s scientifically quite a challenge. Toners usually contain ingredients that are humectants (retain moisture, almost always water soluble) while moisturizers usually contain emollients (prevent moisture evaporation, biphase solution of oily and watery phase made homogeneous through emulsification). Getting a biphase solution to look and feel the same, instead of the heterogeneous example in my stories, usually involves a thickening effect; hence why moisturizers are a lot thicker than single phase solutions like toners. It does form a slight film on the skin so personally I don’t find that it works best to use right after cleaning your face. I would recommend more for those with dry and dehydrated skin or those who live in colder climates, because of how rich this feels on the skin. Toners always help with the extra boost my skin needs. This toner has hyaluronic acid, lipidure, and beta glucan. Hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite go-to ingredients for hydration. This toner does not fail and does a good job of hydrating my skin. Recently, I tried a cleanser that dried out my skin (will be doing a review of it, keep an eye out!) and I used this a lot to get my skin hydrated afterwards. The toner is also super gentle and my skin absorbs it very fast. It does feel sticky afterwards (yay!). The texture is thicker than I expected and not too watery or runny. It’s super easy to work with in my opinion. So this will probably sound a little strange, but it almost smells like aftershave to me. I actually like the smell of aftershave and this toner but it is a little strong. The company has an unscented version of this toner. For anyone who is sensitive to smell, I would recommend trying the unscented version. If you are indifferent to smell and/or like the smell of aftershave, this toner is definitely a good one to try!ladyboss.r
I've been using this product for almost 2 years now, being part of the first group of K-cosmetics I have ever bought. Let's start with my skin needs: I have sensitive, dehydrated combination skin that sometimes likes to breakout resulting in textural irregularity and dullness. Sometimes super oily. Do you recognise yourself? Then this is the toner for you! (But i believe that any skin type could only benefit from this) The texture of this toner is in between the one of an essence and the one of a serum, resulting in being a very ''milky toner'' texture if you get what I'm saying. Applying after cleansing really feels like putting back into your skin what you took out with cleansing. It's super lightweight and if your skin's like mine, you can easily follow with a serum and a moisturizer/spf. It's completely fragrance free and cruelty free. What's not to love? Does it work? We all know the feeling of using a product and not seeing a difference at all. Well, THIS IS NOT THE CASE!! Every time I use it in the morning, my skin will be glowing all day long, till the evening, resulting very hydrated, supple and ultra healthy. I also notice less redness and overall blemish control when I start using it again after a pause period of time (usually while I wait for the next box to arrive lol). Great for adding extra hydration. I use this after cleansing toner and before serum and cream. The smell is a lovely calming herbal smell. I can imagine the smell can take some getting used to if you're not familiar with asian herbs. I apply with my hands and pat on until absorbed. My skin has greatly improved since switching to this and a hyaluronc acid serum. My frown line and slight laugh lines have almost completely disappeared. this product is always raved about online and I'm happy I could finally try it, im really happy with how much my overall skin condition has improved whilst using this product in conjunction with the other products in my skincare routine. I’ move been using this product for almost a year now, and it’s one of my favorite skin care products on the market. Typically, my skin is labeled as sensitive, which is seen as a no-go for using this product, but I gave it a chance and have absolutely loved it. If your skin is like mine, I highly recommend this product. I have picky skin – it’s not necessarily acne prone, but I do get hormonal acne. I have a sensitivity to fragrances, but not all fragrances such as vanilla or camamille. I also have eczema, mainly on my hands, that reacts badly to frequent hand washing, a lot of different lotions, and when I eat a lot of sugar or spicy food. My facial skin will also have an eczema like reaction to similar situations. Even “sensitive skin” lotions or moisturizes make my skin break out in eczema. I think the glycolic acid works will with my skin, mostly because it’s a humectant. It draws moisture in and locks it’s in. I don’t even have to use a daily moisturizer on top of the toner because my skin is so moisturized after using the product, Secondarily, I think this product works because of the exfoliant/antibacterial aspect of the formula. For the same reason that glycolic acid works as a deodorant, this product helps reduce bad bacteria from my skin and clears oils and bacteria buildup. My skin becomes less textured, my pores become less visible, my skin is moisturized, and scarring is less noticeable. This product will forever be in my rotation. + I also use it as a deodorant, and can confirm 100% that it works. I’ve been out dancing and drinking and asked around to see if there was any noticeable odor, and the feedback was all that they couldn’t smell anything! And my armpits are not as gray as they used to be. I highly recommend using this product in place of an antiperspirant. +Betty69
I am reviewing this for use on KP also known as chicken skin on my arms and legs. I also took before and after pictures to compare. I am also in my mid 30s and am rarely outside for reference. I tested this on my arm for 1 week without using lotion or any other products on my skin (except for soap obviously). Within a day or two I was already seeing skin redness fading and my skin looked less rough. The roughness was obviously helped because it's an acid. 7 days in I started applying lotion as well. I used Cerave lotion formulated for rough and KP skin. My final results are that this acid is absolutely a wonderful product for KP and used along with lotion and body oils could absolutely decrease KP by a lot. It is a great price for a product that can really help your skin be smoother, less red, and softer. My KP actually shifted from just on my upper arms and thighs to my forearms and calves a few years ago and no amount of lotion of exfoliation has helped my skin be smoother. With this acid, I feel like I recognize my own arm again! Redness is cut down to a third of what it was! Roughness is half of what it was! And this is after only a week of daily use! I will definitely by using this daily and buying more. As a warning, I did notice that you have to take the warning about being out in the sun seriously. On day 3 I was outside for about 15 minutes and that night when I applied the acid, my skin turned bright red and tingled quite a bit.Ali
I saw clear changes after just 2 weeks of use. The toner visibly reduced hyperpigmentation I have on my body and smoothed texture. Literally after 2 weeks of use, I saw some hyperpigmentation marks disappear completely and this one big elevated scar is now level with the rest of my skin in that area. I patch tested it twice before starting to use it. I only use the toner twice a week (and not on consecutive days). I also noticed that applying a physical exfoliant while showering (which I already do) speeds up the lightening/fading (of course I do not apply a physical exfoliant on broken skin/open scars). The toner is sticky upon application and can take a while (15-30min) to dry/absorb into the skin. Once it does absorb into the skin, the skin is left with a beautiful glow, which resembles a body highlighter without the visible glitter particles/sparkles. Do not use anywhere near broken skin/open scars/open wounds/acne. The toner smells like ginseng and berries (makes sense as ginseng and Tasmanian pepperberry are among the ingredients) for an hour or so before fading. It's a beautiful smell and I would love to check out perfumes that smell like the toner. Unfortunately, after using it for more than 4 months, I've noticed that the toner's effectiveness at lightening hyperpigmentation is decreasing. This decrease in effectiveness could be due to my skin growing insensitive/accustomed to the product and/or due to the intensity of my hyperpigmentation (very dark and been there for a while). So, I purchased this when I needed a toner. I wasn't really sure what I was getting with this because it's a toner + serum in one and some of the reviews were mixed. OMG, you guys. If you have oily skin or acne concerns, you need this. First of all, I LOVE the texture. It is something in between a serum and a toner. And even though it says to apply with a cotton pad, I find that because of the jelly texture, I don't need to do that! I just pump it into my finger and apply directly to the skin. It soaks in so nicely and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. Another thing that I love about this is that it never feels DRYING. Sometimes with toners, it feels like the skin is just tight and this does not do that for me. I also see a HUGE difference in my skin in terms of breakouts. I had one really painful pimple on my cheek last night and I used this in conjunction with cleanser and moisturizer and woke up with the pimple drastically reduced in size and less painful. I am using this toner + serum after cleansing my face in the morning and at night. Applying the toner is easy by pressing down on the pump and putting the toner on a a cotton pad. I then swipe it gently all over my face. It has a clear somewhat thicker texture that absorbs fast into my skin without leaving a sticky feeling to my skin. It has a refreshing and lightweight texture. My skin feels soothed instantly on application. I am IN LOVE with this milky toner!! My face is so sensitive to products & I was nervous about trying this. In just 3 days I could see a difference! The scent is light & my skin feels so moisturized when I use it! I don't use a cotton pad. This was first time I tried this toner though have been using the rest of the products from the "Ultra Facial" line for ages. I love the texture of it, this tones is so moisturising. In the evenings, to give my skin an extra bit of a clean, I use it with a cotton pad. In the mornings, I can just apply a little with my hands – this saves lots of the product. Great in a combination with pretty much any face cream due to its texture, I tried it with 5 or 6 – works well, no contradiction with other products! When particular zones of my face go sensitive, I apply a little more of this toner and it helps to reduce the sensitiveness. Will be buying again and again from now on!DashaEs
I really enjoyed using this toner as it didn't leave a sticky residue unlike many other toners I've used, and it's really light. I've been using it for around 2 months now, and my redness and acne has decreased slowly but steadily. I use this along with the COSRX good morning low Ph cleanser, Paula's choice exfoliator, and neutrogena moisturizer for extra dry skin. got this to go with my lha cleanser and it's been absolutely fantastic. It makes my face feel so clean and fresh once I'm finished. again though packaging misses the mark. The packaging itself looks cool but I prefer functionality over form. it's not very convenient for pouring onto cotton pads it sends to drip down the sides a lot. I'm sad to see how much of my product is already used to considering how long I've had this bottle, so I ended up buying some plastic bottles on Amazon that have the little top pump where you put the cotton pad on top and push down and it pushes the liquid up into the cotton pad. This makes it so easy I am in freaking love. I now no longer have to waste my product and I can control how much goes on to the cotton pad by pumps. I had considered even possibly trying a tiny spray bottle like a facial mist but I figured this would be a little better. another weird thing about the packaging that I've noticed is that even if I wiped it off there always tended to be a white crust that developed in the creases of the lid where the little push button thing pivoted to pop up the spout at first I thought it was just some kind of junkie stuff that got on there but then I realized the product itself seemed to have been drying up there even after I wiped it off like I don't know if it was evaporating or what but there was constantly little like crusties forming. Since I switch to this new bottle style I haven't seen any of that. despite the packaging issues though the product itself is amazing and I will continue to buy it and just put it in my own containers. I love SkinCeuticals and have tried several of their toners as well as many, many high end skincare line toners. The equalizer toner is by far the best for the purpose of a toner and it’s effectiveness. It’s so important to balance your skin’s PH after cleansing and this specific toner does that as well as removing any leftover soap or oils, etc. I can see and feel a difference when I use this toner rather than other brands and the others I’ve tried in SkinCeuticals line. If it helps to know my skin type, it’s combination. I wish SkinCeuticals would switch back to their old or previous packaging/bottles used to hold and dispense their toners and facial cleansers. The current toner bottle and current cleanser bottles waste so much product and easy to spill as well as leak. I don’t know why they made the change, but they seriously need to listen to their customers and go back to the previous packaging/bottles. Frustrating! Luckily for the brand, their product is too good not to use or I would look else where just to limit the annoying messes made from their bottles leaking and save money by purchasing a product that stays in the dispensing bottle until I use it. I've been using this product for a short while; it's been on my radar for some time because I was interested in incorporating the science-proven benefits of green tea into my routine. The bottle used in packaging is a light brown, so as to protect the ingredients from UV degradation. To start, this product has the consistency of water; the color is brown, and while not fragranced, has a light woodsy scent because of the botanical contents. I loved this toner! This changed my definition of toner forever! I would toss a small pool of this into my palm and then splash it onto my skin without a sponge/cotton pad – after washing/cleansing my face. You can use this in the morning or evening without overdrying your skin. The smell is refreshing and without that harsh alcohol stinging feel like 99% of toners out there. You know it's healing your skin without the pain/tingling feeling. The green tea is the plus point about this toner. I finished my first bottle and would gladly order a second bottle however, it's too large for me to carry as I travel a lot. I wish they did have a 3 oz size toner.AK
I love this stuff. I hadn't heard of the brand or product before but a friend unloaded a load of skincare onto me that she didn't use anymore, and this was in the bundle. At first I thought it was a bit icky and potentially cruel because of the snail mucus element, but after doing some research I found that the snails aren't killed for the product, but there snail trails are farmed without harm to them. I tried it and thought it was pretty good, but then since becoming pregnant and having to stop using some of my most loved products including Retinol, I tried this again and absolutely love it. It doesn't really have a scent, it absorbs easily and is a serum like texture. You can drop a load onto your hand and cover your face in it, and you will wake up with lovely soft skin which (i think) looks rejuvenated. The only downside is when you get near the end of the bottle, it's hard to get the product out as it comes with a little dripper but this isn't a huge deal. I've repurchased since using the last of my friend's bottle.

I have really really bad blackheads and always have using this has definitely helped some. It didn’t cure them all overnight but I see an improvement and less wrinkles in my skin. I use the luminous kit. It is getting really pricey at this point. I’ve used it for two months now and have got three orders (of various items that run out). Hoping they come out with a cheaper refill packaging soon because I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford this much longer. I had a really bad rash and acne when I turned 23. And it took me until now (2 years later) to find products that worked for my skin. I went to a dermatologist and they had me use some creams and just plain facewash and it helped clear up the rash but didn’t help my skin tone or complexion. Currently halfway through my 3rd bottle! This stuff is great to put right after you wash your face, when its still damp, and before you apply your serums/treatments. My skin get dry easily, especially after washing, so this is great to avoid that tightened feeling. IMO, it's better than the Laneige Cream Skin. I received this toner in one of my monthly subscription boxes from BoxyCharm and I'm absolutely blown away at how well this toner performs. I have really dry thirsty skin during the Winter months and nothing I would buy ever helped it, I would apply loads of moisturizer but a couple of hours later I'd be re-applying it because my skin would loose the moisturizer feeling and go right back to feeling dry and like I hadn't used a moisturizer at all and I could see dry patches all over my face and my pores were horrible and huge well that is until this Amazing Perfect toner came into my life! Right up front, I do really like this toner, it's scent and astringency are great, it really cuts through the oil and dirt on my face and left it feeling clean and dry but not tight. I wouldn't recommend this for people with dry or sensitive skin as it would most likely be too irritating and/or drying as the formula contains alcohol as well as several extracts that can be irritants to some (lavender, rosemary, eucalyptus) , this however was no problem for my skin. My three stars are for price vs. value. I have trouble visualizing ounces sometimes so I just assumed for $55 this bottle would be HUGE, but the 6.8oz bottle is a modest size. For the price I can't imagine buying this again just because alcohol-based toners with fresh/citrusy extracts are easy enough to come by at lower price points, but if it's in your budget go for it. Beyond function and onto form, a plus though is the packaging, Aesop products just look great and the glass, amber apothecary bottles look and feel expensive.blissingme
AESOP B TEA BALANCING TONER I visited the Aesop store in Covent Garden and was advised this toner would be good for my skin type. It claims to be a gentle, an alcohol-free blend enhanced with Provitamin B5 and fortifying anti-oxidants, to refine pores, balance and prepare skin for hydration. I have to say the smell is interesting. I don’t actually mind it, but it reminds me of visiting a medical Museum of some sort! Haha. Aesop states it s suited to most skin types including combination and sensitive. I use this after cleansing, I put a small amount onto a cotton pad and sweep over my face and neck. It feels very light and refreshing (if you can manage the smell). It isn’t overly hydrating, but it leaves my skin feeling clean and not tight. I have noticed a slight balancing effect, using less powder to keep shine at bay during the day. Not a miracle cure for shine. PROS: 1. Light and refreshing 2. Balancing 3. Leaves skin feeling clean but not tight CONS: 1. £23 for 100ml slightly more expensive 2. Smell is rather odd 3. Not available near me, but can be bought online 4. I've just used this once so far and I'm already in love with it. I have oily, sensitive skin and this product is perfectly refreshing after hopping out of the shower. After applying I use a clay-based moisturizer and I get that matte finished look I've been striving for. I love this product! I use it almost every day to clean my skin before any application. It works great to remove makeup and any harshness left on my skin! This product is good for the pores and removes most of the excess oil that my face creates. I have awful combination skin, especially around my nose. I also hear that witch hazel can reduce varicose veins so might start applying this product to my legs to see if this is true or not. You never know! I have found that this product is just great for my skin. No harshness or issues.
I love this facial toner for my skin. I like how it’s not oily, not overpowering, doesn’t irritate the skin. Very good product for sensitive skin. I also love after my face is done from wash, when I put it on my cotton ball and lather on my face, it makes my skin feel so fresh, awake and a glow. It really isn't bad as far as witch hazel goes. Personally I don't like the smell of unscented witch hazel so I would add some lavender or rose to it if I were going to buy it. My only real issue with it is the price. I've bought other brands of witch hazel (unscented & scented) for up to $4 less. I'm not sure "organic" makes this worth $4 more. But I may try one of their scented variations before making up my mind!
