I like this toner because it delivers on its claims and doesn’t dry my skin out. It shrinks my pores and reduces oil for a few hours and clears the junk out of my pores. I see some additional color in it which I’m not a big fan of but it is at the very bottom of the ingredient list so from what I know it isn’t a high amount. There isn’t added fragrance which I like. It just doesn’t do anything long term or lasting. The results only show for about 24-48 hours. I apply it as you would and essence and with a reusable cotton round and I get the same results. I like it because it doesn’t sting or leave me feeling dry or cause uncomfortable tightening. I will re-purchase. I think the price for quality and amount are fair, too. If you have combination skin and even mild/ occasional acne like I do this might work for you.celi

My third toner I've used over the last few years and currently the only one I'm using. Inexpensive and easily found at drugstores (or online, I bought mine from Amazon). A great option for a basic toner that does not cause harm to my sensitive skin like the last few I have tried. Has a slight scent which personally reminds me of baby lotion which I won't complain about honestly it's refreshing. I find it's an obvious scent right out of the container but dissipates quickly once applied. Absorbs fast and I have not seen or felt any drying of my face. Texture is not watery but more like a syrup. It has a mild floral scent which disappears quickly after applying. Skin appears to be hydrated and glow after use. It doesn't leave a sticky/ oily film on the skin like some of other thick toners. I've heard of this brand via Korean youtubers so when I saw it was on sale I grabbed two lol. The packaging is nice – it comes in a sturdy plastic bottle, so it's not as fragile and heavy as glass but also doesn't feel cheap. Maybe I've bought into the hype, but the toner is quite hydrating and not like the watery kind. It's a touch sticky, but nothing too unbearable so I like it. I would give this product a 2 star. They never published my review that I wrote earlier that was a 2 star which makes me mad. This did nothing to my skin. Didn’t see any difference. It was pretty much just fragranced liquid. The smell of it was so strong it gave me a headache. Smelled so sweet and so b a d. So if you have a fragrance reaction, please d o n t b u y. I would n o t recommend this and I would advise you save you $20 for something that will do something great for your skin and that makes you happy. I am not a big fan of toners and always feel they can be quite harsh on the skin, so never really use them, and after sampling this I think I will be sticking to my original plan. The fact this was advertised as a 'gentle toner', made me curious to see if I would notice any difference in my skin. When I noticed, however, that there is a heavy amount of fragrance in the ingredients list, I am certain it's not the gentlest of toners. I applied some onto a cotton ball and after cleansing, patted it onto my dry face and upper neck area. My face did sting slightly around the eye area, but I thought it was the product just settling in. In all honesty after a few uses, I didn't really notice any difference to my skin, apart from the texture which became slightly drier, certainly not more uniform or tight looking. If I am paying a bit more for a toner, I would expect to see something positive at least, but this just didn't cut it for me. It's alcohol free has no perfume in it, so it's great for sensitive skin. The only thing I didn't like was these brown pieces are floating in the bottle as you can see in the pic with my cotton round, it looks a bit off putting. The pieces don't come off on my face, but I'm not really thrilled seeing that on my cotton round, so I have to deduct a star. I definitely recommend giving this toner a try. Ive tried d so many toners and this is by far is the most suitable for my combination skin type. The toner is so lightweight that it literally feels just like water on your hands. You might want to reapply if you want to feel more hydration your face. In my case I just get a couple drops pt it dry then apply my liquid essence to feel more hydrated. So what does calendula does to your skin? I received this toner in my fabfitfun box and I am very happy to say I have repurchased this toner 4 times since then. I was really excited to receive this toner in my Causebox. My mistake: I did not really understand the intended purpose of this toner. I figured “truffle therapy” meant it would be a nourishing toner…I was wrong. This is more of an exfoliating toner, and I was using it way more than I should have, which was making my skin SO dry. I have never tried a toner in the form of a mist and I have to say that Beekman 1802's Milk Shake Hyaluronic Acid & Squalane Facial Toner Mist is a total game change. I love the concept and the application of the product is so simple to use! All you have to do is shake the bottle to activate its ingredients and spray generously to your face! The toner immediately sets in without leaving behain a sticky or oily residue on your face and instantly provides up to 8 hours of hydration to your skin! The size of this aesthetically pleasing bottle gives you quite a generous amount of product, making it well worth the price tag! The ingredients in this toner make it super unique to other facial toners I have tried in the past. I've used Beekman 1802 products in the past and have always enjoyed them because I have such sensitive skin. Their products have never irritated my skin at all, so when I got the chance I was very excited to try this product. This facial toner mist is a game changer! I love the easy use application. All that you have to do is shake the product together to activate the ingredients and spray on your face as much as you want! I've used this product for a little over a month straight. It leaves my face feeling extremely refreshed while not leaving it with an oily residue. It has helped minimize my pores in a subtle way, is helping alleviate the redness from my skin, while also leaving it VERY hydrated. As a licensed medical esthetician, I definitely feel it's my duty to try products out that could be good for my clients, even if we don't sell that product in our medical clinic. What caught my eye about this delightful product was the use of squalane. I've been aware of this ingredient as far back as 1992, and had tried it then and realized its benefits. Only is issue is the sourcing of squalene, which is called sqaulane once it's been processed, and that was coming from shark livers in the past. I did see this squalane is derived from plants, which is a relief. But it's still an ongoing issue, so always check the sourcing out if it has squalane. Happily,.no issues here and I've used this product every day since purchasing in Sept. It really added a nice layer of hydration and sets my skin up for my serums and moisturizer, and then makeup. I have recommended it to my mature skinned clients and also bec the humidity can get low and dry here in Los Angeles. I really love this product for all it does for combination skin. I've been on the lookout for a watery/light toner to hydrate my skin. My skin is quite sensitive due to previous peels and lasers to combat my acne, so I wanted a light toner as thicker toners will definitely break me out and make my skin more sensitive. This toner was as advertised and was light while being hydrating when using the 7-skin method. I of course did not expect this toner to provide tons of hydration with one layer as it was advertised to be light, however, I would layer this toner for several times and the hydration would be perfect for my skin. If your skin is sensitive, acne-prone and breaks out from thicker products easily like mine, then definitely give this toner a try. I am glad that Cosrx comes out with their products in mini-size. I have already repurchased the full size.
This toner has simple yet effective ingredients, doesn't leave any kind of film/residue/tackiness, and has a very water like consistency. I think it's most appropriate to name it vitamin water because that's exactly what it is. I'm a huge fan of most COSRX products and this is the best of the toners IMO. I've been using their snail essence for a couple months now and I really like it. I needed a new toner so I went went this one. I've used a lot of toners and this one is it for me! This and their snail essence are a match made in heaven. After washing, I slide my hands across my face and neck to get rid of excess moisture (but face/neck is still wet) add a few drops of this watery toner into my palm, rub my hands together and rub into my neck and face for about a minute and then pump some essence into my palm, rub together and then rub into my face and neck until absorbed. I love the scent; it was calming, refreshing, and perfect to apply before bed. I found that it does work best to apply with a cotton ball and to follow the instructions with then adding a moisturizer on after, otherwise it will leave your skin feeling a little sticky. I bought this for the first time a couple weeks ago. I cleanse my face every time I shower, and I use toner twice a day. Every time I have used this toner, my face is left feeling tacky. I don’t feel like my skin is being hydrated at all. It feels like a film is being left on my skin. There are also a lot of seemingly unnecessary ingredients compared to other toners I have used. Why does toner need maltodextrin? The lid is also useless when dispensing product. There is no control for how much product comes out of the bottle, which I don’t appreciate I normally finish the products I buy, but I will not continue using this product, which is unfortunate.Cinna

I am a huge fan of the properties of rose water. My favorite, which was made from Bulgarian roses, used to cost me about $32 but that price was getting a little too pricey. Cocokind's formula is the same quality but at a price I can afford even with Bulgarian roses! When I was getting near to running out, I even ordered the jumbo rosewater toner to keep refilling this bottle. I also appreciate the company for being transparent about carbon emissions and putting those calculations on the product packaging. My skin looks so healthy and happy when I use it. I bought this because I've been through a few bottles of the Paula's Choice 2% BHA and wanted to find something same-same-but-different. So far, I strongly prefer this!! My least favorite thing about the PC product is how much of a residue there is, I'd compare the feeling to that of a body dry oil. It's so present that my normal-dry skin can forgo moisturizer afterwards in the summertime. The Farmacy product is just like a standard watery toner, so there's absolutely zero residue, which I LOVE. It also smells really nice (kind of like a herbal papaya? but not exactly sweet/fruity) even though it doesn't have added fragrance. As for effects, I wasn't sure this product was actually doing anything until a couple of days ago where I laid off for a few days in preparation for a once-in-a-while AHA/BHA mask. Let's just say it was obvious that the product was keeping sebaceous filaments and blackheads at bay. Since resuming using it again, they're gone again. My one problem with this product is that it is so watery that a cotton pad is really kind of necessary, and I'm someone who likes to use my hands for all of my skincare steps so that I don't waste product. As such, I feel like I'm going through the bottle rather fast. To mitigate this I've been using the cotton pad on my chest, KP areas, and even behind my ears so that it goes as far as possible. This toner has changed my skin. I have bought it 3 or 4 times now and I can safely say it has improved my skin a lot. I used to have lots of little bumps all over my forehead and this has cleared most of them away. The toner is quite expensive so I prefer to tap it directly onto my skin and rub it in rather than waste it on a cotton pad. I actually use another less expensive toner first and put that on a cotton pad and to remove any debris, then I use this on top so it can really sink into the skin. I think this toner works really well because this brand is doesn't add nasty chemicals into their formulas. It also smells lovely and the packing is gorgeous. I always feel good when I used it. In Brazil it’s not so common to have products made with witch Hazel, so I never had felt this smell before. First time I opened this bottle I felt nauseating , it’s a awful weird smell! I applied on my face and though I can’t use this! But I insisted and realized that after apply it took just some minutes for the smell start to desapear, and I kinda got used to. It doesn’t remove makeup, but it’s a very good cleaner, and besides have 14% of alcohol on its composition, it doesn’t dry the skin. But I felt very happy about discover that is good for dandruff!! I have a pretty tough one to control, and lately just corticosteroids are doing the job. I was initially hesitant to use this product as it's more for drier skin types, and I have oily acne-prone skin with large pores. I was worried this would break me out or feel too heavy for my skin. I bought this product for my 14 year old suffering from acne (I think hormonal.) It immediately caused redness & irritation. He told me my face is burning. The next day we saw some small red patches on his face where he had no problems as a matter of fact those areas on his face still have the look of baby face. Let me tell you why we still give it 4 stars. He had some big and stubborn Blackheads on his nose and when he woke up we can see them closer to the surface and we were able to remove at least one big one without a problem. I believe this happened after the 2nd time he used the product. He is taking a break from it, but wants to try it again just on the nose to see if the rest of the blackheads come out to the surface so that we can extract them without damaging the skin. I have mixed reviews about this product. The first day I used it, it immediately removed some pimples from my face. My first impression was "Wow." However, you do feel a burning sensation even though its supposed to be alcohol free. So I definitely would NOT recommend using this product or any other Thayers face toners everyday as a toner. After purchasing, I read that witch hazel has a drying effect and seen some results of people using Thayers everyday for 2 yrs and trust me it's best to heed the warnings beforehand. According to healthline, face toners do NOT have to be implemented in your daily facial care routine. What's a must is to Cleanse in the morning and evening, Moisturize in the morning and evening, and Apply SPF throughout the day. But if your looking for a toner to add in, try looking for a hydrating toner so it can add moisure into your face and not rmake your face dry. The conclusion: simple is best! Thayers blemish clearing is an effective product but use with caution, especially on your face. It can deplete your skin of the much needed moisure and have lighter skinned people looking like an apple. Toners are not really needed but if you want one, go hydrating. Water is the key to brighter skin! Clean your face well and drink lots of water. Use thayers for an occasional breakout but definitely not as a daily toner. Its alcohol free, cruelty free, and this one is unscented. They have many scents and Ive used them all. However, I prefer the unscented. I am IN LOVE with this milky toner!! My face is so sensitive to products & I was nervous about trying this. In just 3 days I could see a difference! The scent is light & my skin feels so moisturized when I use it! I don't use a cotton pad. Instead, after cleansing my face I pour a dime sized amount into the palm of my hand & spead it all over my face. It doesn't irritate ANYTHING. This was first time I tried this toner though have been using the rest of the products from the "Ultra Facial" line for ages. I love the texture of it, this tones is so moisturising. In the evenings, to give my skin an extra bit of a clean, I use it with a cotton pad. In the mornings, I can just apply a little with my hands – this saves lots of the product. Great in a combination with pretty much any face cream due to its texture, I tried it with 5 or 6 – works well, no contradiction with other products! I really enjoyed using this toner as it didn't leave a sticky residue unlike many other toners I've used, and it's really light. I've been using it for around 2 months now, and my redness and acne has decreased slowly but steadily. I use this along with the COSRX good morning low Ph cleanser, Paula's choice exfoliator, and neutrogena moisturizer for extra dry skin. This is my favorite toner. The texture is very delicate. It is very comfortable after use. It can make the face very smooth and dilute fine lines. got this to go with my lha cleanser and it's been absolutely fantastic. It makes my face feel so clean and fresh once I'm finished. again though packaging misses the mark. The packaging itself looks cool but I prefer functionality over form. it's not very convenient for pouring onto cotton pads it sends to drip down the sides a lot. I'm sad to see how much of my product is already used to considering how long I've had this bottle, so I ended up buying some plastic bottles on Amazon that have the little top pump where you put the cotton pad on top and push down and it pushes the liquid up into the cotton pad. This makes it so easy I am in freaking love. I now no longer have to waste my product and I can control how much goes on to the cotton pad by pumps. I had considered even possibly trying a tiny spray bottle like a facial mist but I figured this would be a little better. another weird thing about the packaging that I've noticed is that even if I wiped it off there always tended to be a white crust that developed in the creases of the lid where the little push button thing pivoted to pop up the spout at first I thought it was just some kind of junkie stuff that got on there but then I realized the product itself seemed to have been drying up there even after I wiped it off like I don't know if it was evaporating or what but there was constantly little like crusties forming. Since I switch to this new bottle style I haven't seen any of that. despite the packaging issues though the product itself is amazing and I will continue to buy it and just put it in my own containers. I love SkinCeuticals and have tried several of their toners as well as many, many high end skincare line toners. The equalizer toner is by far the best for the purpose of a toner and it’s effectiveness. It’s so important to balance your skin’s PH after cleansing and this specific toner does that as well as removing any leftover soap or oils, etc. I can see and feel a difference when I use this toner rather than other brands and the others I’ve tried in SkinCeuticals line. If it helps to know my skin type, it’s combination. I wish SkinCeuticals would switch back to their old or previous packaging/bottles used to hold and dispense their toners and facial cleansers. The current toner bottle and current cleanser bottles waste so much product and easy to spill as well as leak. I don’t know why they made the change, but they seriously need to listen to their customers and go back to the previous packaging/bottles. Frustrating! Luckily for the brand, their product is too good not to use or I would look else where just to limit the annoying messes made from their bottles leaking and save money by purchasing a product that stays in the dispensing bottle until I use it. I bought this when I heard acid toners are the way to go for exfoliation and I really needed it. I had dry patches and oily skin and marks from all my teenage acne. Since Target is the closest store to me and this seemed the most affordable I just went with it. I used it consistently. About 2-3 times a week and I could really feel a difference from the first try! I didn’t notice a difference in appearance but stuck to it because my skin felt amazing but then about six months into using this a friend I hadn’t seen in months asked me if I was wearing makeup! She couldn’t believe how good my skin looked and that’s when I noticed that indeed all of my acne marks were gone and my skin did look so much smoother with no dry patches and my skin texture looked so much better! Hubby love this exfoliating toner! Works well on his combination to oily skin. This is alcohol free but the effect of exfoliating is significant. Very mild and not aggressive. I used to use pixi glow tonic years ago, after receiving a sample and loved it, but stopped for one reason or another. My skin has changed this year though, and I was battling with black heads and rough skin, so thought I'd gives this a try again. Goodness me!! I don't think I could ever live without it now!! My skin was so much smoother after only a couple days use and has kept those blocked pores at bay. I only use this at night, purely because my skin can be sensitive, but I think this is gentle enough to use twice a day if I have a serious breakout again. OK I was really faithful to the old formula and very upset about the change (why do they do it!!!!) However, I finally gave the new bottle a try and boy! I was surprised!! It is the precious gel-toner. Highly recommend!! PRO — 1. The new formula is gel-like. It is VERY hard to find gel-like toners in the US and they are wonderful. Most toners here are like water. My facial lady used to sell me really expensive gel-like toner from Japan for $70 a bottle, which I cherished until the last drop. I was sooo surprised and happy that the new formula is gel-like! 2. Smell and feel — both are wonderful. It does not have the pink tint, but it feels and smells wonderfully. 3. Once it goes on your face, it is like applying a layer of raw egg white. I feel it protects my face and locks in moisture. It feels very smooth after it dries. 4. Price — Walmart has it on sale, probably because nobody is buying it haha CONS — 1. Ugly bottle. The main reason a toner is important, is to remove any residual cleanser, and close the pores; preparing the skin to receive benefits of a skin cream.(Best always to use with pure cotton!) Many alcohol based toners only strip the skin of essential oils, thus drying it and also shocking the oil glands into producing more oil! This does not do that. This is not the same formula I have used for 25 years. My Mom used this also. Used to feel my face and neck was vibrant, plus it was a real fresh feeling. The new formula is oily, heavy feeling and I have to wipe it off, feels dirty. The new bottle is awful, cheap, and the lid with the hole is hard to use. Why change something that has worked so well for this many years.😡Now of to find another brand that feels refreshing. Don't like the smell either as I am allergic to flowery smells. This toner is amazing for any skin type, but particularly for those who have dry skin. It includes such great ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid that just plumps, hydrates, and preps the skin for makeup. I have definitely seen a difference in my skin, and I made sure to use it for at least 1 month daily before writing my review. My dry patches are no longer visible and my foundation/concealer looks so much smoother. The super silky texture feels so soft on the skin and the slightly sticky texture makes it the perfect primer to prep the skin before foundation! I definitely have seen my skin improve even without makeup on as well! My skin is much more plump and bright. It has also never broken me out or given my sensitive skin any type of reaction. I am in love with this so far. I’ve been using it for about a week and a half and love how moisturized it makes my skin feel. I use a prescription retinol and just finished a beach vacation. Definitely have drier skin in part because of retinol. I like to apply this product to damp skin before going in with the rest of my skincare. It helps with retaining moisture so much, I love it. It does have a bit of a scent but it’s really pleasant and I find that it goes away after applying pretty quickly. This product has a nice texture that is thin enough to be a toner but not so thin that you need a cotton round to apply it. Just squeeze a bit in your hand and you don’t have to worry about it running down your arms while you’re trying to apply it. The packaging is unique, and I wish it were a bit easier to squeeze, but is really nice and very aesthetically pleasing. All in all, I’m loving this toner and will definitely buy it once I run out. I'm a 25 year old male. I sample a lot of different skin care brands and products and I always give an honest review about what I think. I received this Fenty Skin product as a sample product as well, and this time is no different. Overview: This isn't the first Fenty Skin product I've tried and it won't be the last. Everything I've tried from Fenty is high-quality and worth every penny in my opinion. I exercise a lot and I live in Texas where it's incredibly hot, and all that sweating and heat tends to dry up my skin. I've tried many moisturizers, but this one is different, as it's not a moisturizer, it's a toner that hydrates. I was skeptical when I first poured it into my hand, as it felt heavy and gooey, but boy when it touched my face I instantly knew it was a game changer. I've been using it for about a week and half now and my girlfriend has already complimented me on how good my face looks. This product helps your face recover from dry skin and keeps it moisturized/hydrated, all while evening out your skin tone. PROS: – The only product I've used that helps with my dry skin, WHILE also not feeling gross when sweating during workout or Texas heat – Evens out skin and reduces look of pours. – Hydration titan. – The bottle design. I like the twist head piece, as pumps tend to be harder to travel with and are more likely to leak. – Good for any time. I usually use Kiehls for nighttime moisturizer, but I'm going to start alternating with Kiehl's and this from now on. It's definitely my go-to now for daytime after my morning shower. I also tend to put some on mid-day. – Smells great. – It's not runny, so you're less likely to have it drip off your hand when you pour it into it. – One of those products where you know it's good right when it hits your skin CONS: – Although I like the bottle design, the fat water looks exactly how it sounds.
