I massage the product into my ski for 60 seconds then rinse and follow the rest of my daily routine. This product goes on light and smooth and leaves my skin feeling fresh and healthy. Things that I do love about this cleanser is that the company reworked the formula and took out the parabens and all of the harmful ingredients that it use to use. The cleanser is definitely gentle and good for sensitive skin. But it doesn’t have any actual active ingredients that would help with acne. So if your expecting it to cure any acne. It won’t. It would be best if used as a pre-cleanse before an active cleanser or if your on a medication that prevents you from using active ingredients. Prior to receiving this voxbox from Influenster and Cetaphil, all I knew about the brand was that it was canceled by the skincare community. There was some controversy about the ingredients or the product claims, but honestly I don’t even remember the specifics. Needless to say I had previously been avoiding Cetaphil at all costs. Later on, I saw a skincare routine video by Meghan the Stallion who swore by her Cetaphil cleanser, and explained that she had tried everything, but Cetaphil was the only product that cleared her face up when she suffered from bad breakouts. It lists glycerin and vitamins B5 B3 as key ingredients and claims to deep clean and minimize the appearance of pores without stripping skin of natural moisture. Pros: Lightweight, gentle, lathers, I have super large pores prior to using this cleanser and I don’t know what sorcery is this, but I washed my face before bed and when I woke up my pores were non-existent. Like whoa! 😳 I didn’t see that one coming. I was literally blown away! This product is legit and I’m sold! Cons: It is strongly scented. Long after I had washed my face and went to bed I was still smelling the fragrance. It didn’t cause a negative reaction, but products for sensitive skin usually don’t have fragrance, so I was a bit surprised. It also best used as a cleanser after your makeup remover. This cleanser is really strange. I received it as my birthday gift. It’s very thick and once you mix it with water and apply it and rinse it off, it leaves some kind of “film” on your skin. I don’t wear makeup so the only thing this product had to go though was my daily moisturizer (no other serums or anything). My face did not feel clean even after massaging the product thoroughly for two minutes or so. HOWEVER THE FRAGRANCE IN THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE. I don’t understand why there has to be a fragrance added to skin care (hello irritation!) in the first place and let alone a product that washes off your face. Generally speaking I love tatcha products. The cleansing oil and the water cream are part of my regular line up. I have tried this product twice, when it came as part of a set, and both times after a week of use I ended up with dry, flaky skin that resolved after I stopped using it. My skin is typically normal-to-dry but I also live in a very humid climate, so I wouldn’t say dry skin is a major problem for me, but with this product it was noticeable. I couldn’t wear any face makeup for a week or two because it would highlight the flakey spots. It has a lovely smell, and it feels nice, and the light texture seems to vanish when it’s rubbed in (I’m not sure if it provides any exfoliating at all, it’s so fine and disappears so quickly), so two stars for “cosmetic elegance,” but ultimately it is not for me. I really can’t understand how this would be called “hydrating” or described as not “stripping” the skin because neither of those were true for me.sarahs310
This wash feels extraordinary and you really have to compliment tatcha for the formulation here if nothing else. There is a mild "grit" to the cleanser when it first comes out of the tube which immediately dissolves as you rub your hands together and spread it over your face. It never creates a harsh lather, but rather cleans your skin almost like an balm or an oil, easily removing dirt and oil from your pores. It feels very rich never leaves you dry. I think this would probably work for all skin types with exception to extremely oily skin. If you've got very oily skin or clogged pores, I recommend the Hyper Skin Gentle Brightening Gel, which is my favorite cleanser at the moment for reducing the look of pores. This Tatcha rice wash comes in second place, as it's super calming and I always reach for this when I want a cleanser to make me feel like I'm at a spa. Be aware that their is some mild fragrance. This really shouldn't cause any issues even on sensitive skin, BUT as always if you have a damaged skin barrier from going too hard on the chemical exfoliates or treatments (can look like small red patches or general stinging when applying products) then I would put down all fragrance products until your skin heals.boyskinJJ

I enjoyed washing my face with this product. It has a fresh almost minty scent. It goes on very creamy which feels nice and then lathers in a froth. When I rinsed it off, my skin felt a bit firm. This cleanser has to be one of the best cleansers(if not THE best) I have ever tried. Beautiful lather, cleans well, doesn't strip my skin, and seems to lessen the redness in my skin. I've tried so many cleaners and a lot of them leave me skin looking so red, hot, and irritated, but this one does the opposite. My skin feels so clean, fresh, and calm. One thing I will say is that while using this you may need to use an exfoliant maybe once a week or once every two weeks, since this cleanser is gentle and doesn't really contain any exfoliating ingredients like citric acid etc. But to be honest I think that's why my skin likes it, because my skin doesn't need an exfoliating ingredient every day. It's the only cleanser that I can even open my eyes/use around the delicate skin around my eyes. I absolutely love this fragrance. So much so yeah I’ve been wearing it for over 25 years and it’s one of the main reasons I shop at Victoria’s Secret. The best way to describe the smell would be a little bit of fruity and a little bit of floral. You can smell peach and apple when it comes to the fruity side and lilac and jasmine when it comes to the floral side. The description on the website says that there are notes of musk, woods, and tamarind however, I don’t really pick up on those. Maybe your nose is better at its job than mine? I highly recommend Love Spell to anyone and everyone. I have never met a single person who has said they don’t like the scent. The smell is also unique and prominent; you can notice when someone is wearing it every time and usually right away. This has been my fav make up remover for 4 years. I have yet to find anything better. The number one reason it's my fav is because I can use it to remove mascara and it doesn't burn my eyes. I don't wear water proof mascara because my eyes are sensitive so idk how it works for that. I will say that I always moisturize afterwards. I'm not sure if it makes my skin slightly dry or if that's just my skin but you should be moisturizing after any cleanser to protect your skin barrier anyway. Also, on days I wear more make up than usual or sweat more, I might use a toner or micellar water after cleansing. I rarely get anything on my cotton round that the cleanser missed or didn't get. I'm shocked at how nothing went wrong for me after trying out this cleanser! It's a prudent practice to find as much criticism as possible of a product you're considering purchasing to find any patterns in the low reviews, and make a more fair decision from there. I noticed a lot of people who had bad experiences said it did strip their skin and dry them out, so I was highly leery. However, it was cheap at the time of checking out, so I acquired it. It's definitely an improvement to some old Senka Perfect Whip cleanser I had that didn't really wow me. My skin is dry and prone to dehydration and subsequent comedones. I live in an arid climate with pollution issues (Southern California). Because of the critical reviews of this product, I only use a gentle wet konjac sponge to make it foam up, and only use an amount around the size recommended for toothpaste. This suprisingly does not make my eyes sting, which is a major plus! My first cleanser is Kose Softymo's Deep Cleansing Oil. These two products help remove even the most cement-like mascara without ripping out my eyelashes, for another plus (Cement-like mascaras I have used so far include Heroine Make Long and Curl Super Waterproof and Etude's Lash Perm Curl Fix). This cleanser is also quite versatile due to its tea tree oil. TMI warning, I know someone who had a fungal annoyance due to being a sweaty-footed enthusiast for contact sports, which is a hobby where I've noticed some unhygienic men bond over their swamp butt and athlete's foot… and he washed his queso fresco-smelling feet with this stuff daily for a week, then never had an issue again. I also have used this to refresh my scalp on really hot days, and it helps clarify buildup from shampoos containing coconut derivatives! I love this dang cleanser. I’ve used this a few times since purchasing and I really think it has helped my skin! I’ve used it on it’s own and as a second step in a double cleanse. Works really well either way! It smells a little citrusy which I do enjoy. It comes out as a clear gel and it creates a silky foam that feels super gentle on the skin. I was worried it would be harsh given the citrusy smell but it really feels gentle and leaves my skin feeling clean. I didn’t find it stripping but I have oily skin. A little goes a long way, as I have combination skin. Incorporating this cleansing definitely means the need for double-cleansing, so I would not remove makeup with this alone. I'm definitely more of a cleansing balm kind of girl so this wouldn't remove it completely. Personally I'd have to use a non-oil based cleanser alongside this, as I like to not have any residue left. I absolutely love this cleanser. I received a full sized bottle in a beauty box subscription a while back and have continued to repurchase this cleanser ever since. I am a type of person who gets tired of looking for new products and likes to stick with products that works and as long as I do not fine anything better at the market. I've been using this cleanser past couple yrs now, and I was looking for a gentle PH balanced cleanser which would not dry my skin for using daily. This is the second product that I came across from this brand after their very well known 'green clean' and I have been using both of the cleanser ever since. Green clean ( now they have all different flavor? from same line ) is more like a cleanser / melt a way for make up removal and this product is more like gentle soap that I could use day and night. I’ve heard so many great things about the Hyrdo Boost Facial Gel and Skeet masks so I thought why not try the cleanser? And it did not disappoint! My skin feels clean, refreshed and smoother after the first use while also hydrating my skin. A lot of cleansers claim to be hydrating but this one really lives up to its name. I used it as my second cleanser for days when I double cleanse at it really brings the hydration back into my skin after using a strong makeup removing cleanser. The Hydro Boost Gel Cleanser Fragrance Free is a good face cleanser. It claims to remove makeup, dirt, ect. I tried it both ways and think that with makeup you definitely would need to double cleanse as it doesn't remove everything on the first go. It does leave face feeling clean and smooth and there is no smell to it. When you first apply it, will have a gel consistency but it does foam up once you lather it in skin. I found that the face does feel not super dry when using it as other cleansers, I believe it's due to the hyaluronic acid. I think this is great for all skin types, I have oily acne-prone skin and this worked great for me. Didn't leave dryness, no irritation, and left skin clean. Okay I cannot even count how many times I have repurchased this…I have used it for YEARS. This is the only cleanser I use in the PM, usually as a second cleanse after a balm or cleansing oil. This removes makeup easily (even eye makeup), cleans my face well but it isn't drying or stripping at ALL. It leaves my skin super soft, hydrated, and plump. It also works beautifully in the AM, but that's usually when I enjoy testing new cleansers. I prefer this to half the highend cleansers I have tried, and it's the only one I travel with. On nights where I'm super lazy, I simply wash my face with this and follow up with a moisturizer. I know I can always rely on this to get the job done! I used to use a very similar cleanser with white clay in high school that whips into a stiff foam and even had ‘face cleaning training’ from a family friend who worked for shiseido. It’s such a relief to switch back to this kind of cleanser that really does the job well. There is a scent to the cleanser, but it smells exactly like the lobby of the Hilton Tokyo (which I like). The key is to use a quality Japanese face cleansing/foaming net. (Sephora should carry one in their stores!) I used to use my hands to whip it up in high school, but now with a foaming net you get more foam and faster, and you can really get stiff foam. This is how I learned to use this type of product: Using a tiny, pinky-nail squeeze of the cleanser with a foaming net, you can whip it into a giant handful of foam. I like to whip it, squeeze it out of the net, and then put it back into the net and whip it into a stiffer foam, about the texture of really good freshly-whipped-meringue. Light, but stiff. The key is to start with a wet net and slowly add tiny splashes of water as you go (but not too much, or your foam won’t be stiff!) Then after spreading most of the foam across your face, you make the left over foam into a ball and begin to “roll” the foam in tiny circles across your face. It’s a really soothing feeling as the stiff foam gently tugs on your skin. It feels like the foam is lifting impurities from your pores. I can’t say enough good things about this cleanser. I’ve been using it for a few years now and I’m just as thrilled with it now as I was when I started. First, you use a pearl-sized amount which lathers up rich and REALLY cleans and refreshes your skin. Once it’s well rinsed and I’ve dried my skin, my skin looks bright and radiant. It’s improved my complexion in both the even tone and radiance of my skin and has eliminated my occasional pimples. My skin has improved so much that at 41 I wear sheerer foundation less frequently than I did at 35 and my skin looks just as nice. One aspect I LOVE about this product is that it removes everything really gently. I can have a full face of makeup, (including eye makeup), and at the end of the day, simply wash my face and it gets my makeup and the day’s oil and crud off of my face. It leaves it perfect. I am so surprised by the reviews that say it strips their skin and is over-drying. I have normal skin, somewhat sensitive and all I can say is that the scent is subtle, the formula is non-irritating even to remove eye makeup, (though be gentle), and following i up with a moisturizer is all I need. This is coming from someone who had skin problems all of her life. And it’s not that I’ve grown out of it as i learned when I forgot to pack this cleanser in vacation. I bought some other cleanser to tide me over for 4 days and my face was not thrilled with me by the time I returned home as was evident by the blemishes that had cropped up. It is a little pricey but you use so little I literally only have to buy 3 tubes or so per year so it works out. My previous cleansers were AMOREPACIFIC and Dermologica. unfortunately this cleanser caused my skin to feel very uncomfortable. After foaming it up really nicely to wash the day's grime off, I massaged it into my skin and then rinsed. Instead of feeling clean, my face felt like all the sweat and oil had just been covered in a waxy rubber layer. running my fingers across my skin was terrible. instead of soft and gliding, it was like trying to push my fingers across a rubber mat– no sliding, just uncomfortable stuttering, and hitching. It was similar to how Dial soap made my skin feel when that was all we had growing up. I immediately rewashed my face with Kiehl's ultra facewash, which always makes my skin feel nice and removes makeup really well. if you have not tried this Shiseido product, try it in sample size first to see how it treats your skin. I have been using Clinique products for 40 years including their liquid facial soap. I have always purchased the jumbo 13.5 oz size in this soap. Since this smaller size was such a good value I decided to stock up. I put one of these smaller sizes in my shower. Even though Clinique says it is fragrance free it normally has a slight crisp, clean smell thats reminds me of the smell of water while sitting next to a swimming pool. This particular bottle had a different smell to it and actually made my face burn while using it. Fingers crossed this is a bad batch Clinique is not changing their formula for this liquid facial soap. I thought it odd too that I ordered 4 when they arrived 3 were shrink wrapped together the 4th was by itself thats the one I tried. Possibly the other 3 were a different batch and may have been fine. I did not open all of them. I hope QVC gets more of the jumbo size bottle in oily so I can order more.Anonymous
I have combination oily, aging, sometimes sensitive skin, prone to acnemilia, and I use the facial soap for oily skin. It is a liquid gel consistency and doesnt necessarily foam, but is effective at removing my sunscreen, moisturizer, sweat, sebum, the little makeup that I wear, and any dirtpollution. If you wear makeup, Id recommend using makeup remover first, then finish with this cleanser. I turn cleansing into a massage using this product, to give the active ingredients time to work, on my face, ears, neck, decollete, and the bumpy areas on the back of my upper arms KP. My face feels fresh and clean, not stripped, and there is a lovely cooling minty sensation on my skin as the water evaporates. It is a lovely experience On days when my skin feels like it might react to actives or the minty fresh sensation, I use Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser instead, as a backup plan, but this is my preferred cleanser. Also, a little goes a long wayit only takes one or two pumps of product per cleansing. Id recommend this for anyone with oily skin, male or female its unscented and gender neutral, but if acne is a bigger problem, go with the acne line of products Clinique offers. I love the product, been using it for years. Although, the older version of the Extra Mild was better, but works great! I only have one comment. Why they got rid of the pump? If they really wanted to be more green, could offer an option of the exactly same bottle without the pump as a refill. But no, they changed the bottle, so you can't used the older bottle pump. And of course, now without the pump, you used more product each time, so the bottle now last less. Way to go Clinique geniuses, trying to past a marketing strategy as a green strategy!Maru

Gentle while in the shower and didn’t cause me any extra breakouts, and cleared my skin when I had spots. Leaves my skin feeling extremely dry and tight as soon as it starts to dry after I get out of the shower though. If I don’t immediately heavily moisturize while my face is still damp, my face is in SOO much pain. Might be better for people with really oil skin. My skin is usually combo, but since using this cleanser it’s been so much more dry and flaky, especially under my foundation, even with slugging and heavy moisturizing. Definitely dries me out. This gentle cleanser is top notch. I first started experimenting with the Drunk Elephant brand when I was going through a very very random "sensitive skin" spell that came out of nowhere. All of a sudden my entire face was enflamed and flakey my eyes were puffy and when they weren't puffy, the skin around them was flaking. I had acne, or what looked like acne. My dermatologist couldn't figure it out – so we just called it "atopic dermatitis. She prescribed me a very new non-steroidal treatment due to the proximity to the eyes (My uncle is an eye doctor, one of the best glaucoma specialists in the country, to be exact, and one of the biggest no-no's for the development on glaucoma is no steroidal creams like hydrocortisone anywhere near the eye – no matter how careful you are it can seep through the skin and you will develop glaucoma. His words, not mine). Anyway, in addition to using this gel that my dermatologist prescribed she told me to get a gentle cleanser and moisturizer (thus my glowing review for Drunk Elephant's amazing Protini moisturizer). And here I am writing this review for the amazingly priced Beste Jelly Cleanser. The cleanser is pH balanced perfectly for every skin type, so it will not mess with your skin. Likewise, the gel formula easily slicked oil and grime as well as the flakes I was experiencing at the time away from my face (and later, if I was wearing makeup it was able to take that off as well), without stripping my face of natural moisture – aka I never feel dried out from the face wash ever, but at the same time, I've never still felt oily from it. I have never been able to say that about a non-medicated face wash before. I love this cleanser, it’s my every day cleanser. It’s super simple and has no fragrance which is important to me with sensitive skin. Cerave is also something I tried for my skin but that made me breakout. This is the only one that does the job for me! My only problem is the packaging. If you shut the lid too fast, the nozzle cracks and then when you place it on the counter, the product leaks out. Further, if you store your cleanser in the shower like I do, water will runs over the bottle and the water gets trapped inside the cap! So if it’s cracked water will get inside the bottle and makes the product super runny. It is my favorite cleanser and I just try to take care while using it so I don’t waste any.haileypandolfi

As someone who is an avid skin care person I was excited to try this because I'm a huge fan of the brand. Because my skin is sensitive it's important that I look at the ingredients. Well, the second ingredient is propylene glycol. There's never a reason to have THAT much in a skin care product. Anyway, I saw glycolic acid was relatively high on the list which is good! But I still needed to know how much. The vast majority of brands will say what percentage of glycolic acid is in their product because it's important to know, especially if someone has sensitive skin. Well the email I received back said that they can't tell me because it's "proprietary" information. Um… what? It's not like it's a secret ingredient or I'm gonna go buy glycolic acid, get a chemistry degree, and then make it on my own! Why is it such a secret? If there's a decent amount then why not boast about it? My guess is there's barely enough to do much which is why you would need to use it twice a day along with the matching cleanser in order for it to do anything at all. This leads me to believe that the product simply isn't worth it. If a brand won't disclose a percentage of an ingredient that literally peels your skin off then stay away. Stay far, far away. Believe me. Your skin will thank you. No more of this brand for me. It's not worth the risk.
I've been incorporating Mario Badescu's Glycolic Acid Cleanser for all skin types for well over a decade or so now because the formula works. Although it has fragrance and dyes, if used correctly I recommend this product to someone who has excess sebum production. I do not recommend using this product every day or along with a strong retinoid/tretinoin. I use it once a week unless I have irritated skin or a break out situation that is inflamed. The directions do warn people about this on the bottle, which I do appreciate. I do not mind fragrance and dyes in a cleanser so long as they're going to be rinsed off directly after. If your skin is sensitive to fragrance, I would not recommend this particular cleanser. It does cost near $20, but it lasts about a year so I feel the product is well worth the price. My skin loves having a chemical exfoliant once in a while or once a week since my skin is dry currently and acne-prone. I don't get a tight feeling after using this so long as I follow up with a the Glycolic Acid Toner. Remember SPF when using these products, always do a patch test, don't neglect your neck, and rub your skin in a circular motion when cleansing. Just not for everyday use!! Follow directions on bottle for THIS product and then you will get the full benefit! I use different skincare products, but have stayed loyal to Mario Badescu's Glycolic Acid Cleanser and Toner for well over a decade!abra.l
I LOVE this stuff💖🤩 (As you can see in my MB toner collection photo😅 lol.) I’ve been using this toner for 4+ years and it has definitely become a necessary staple in my skin care regimen! I have always had a bit of facial redness (off and on) on my face and few things help to get the #redness away. THIS IS ONE of them! This toner helps to relieve redness, improve clarity, improve skin tone, and slightly improve my overall skin texture. I know that the #MarioBadescu brand gets a really BAD rap for being overly fragranced, artificial coloring, and unnecessary additives, but I’m 100% convinced that this toner WORKS✅ I’m semi-sensitive to strong fragrances and this scent doesn’t bother me. It reminds me of the smell of something “clean”. My skin goes back and forth from being CLEAR to light/light+ acne and every time I have achieved #CLEARSKIN this toner was part of my regular regimen. I have tried going without it, and every time I do I see a BIG DIFFERENCE (negatively) in my skin😱 I would recommend this product to anyone worried about redness, acne, and texture. I don’t think it actually helps treat acne but it does help to remove left over make up debris and improve the skins overall tone/ clarity💖🤗 Also if you end up liking the toner you can buy the LARGE size and save money! However, the product gave me cystic acne (deep pimples that are painful) because it cleans deep. In addition, my skin began to peel. It was not painful. I'm an esthetician that works at massage envy and we carry pca skin products , this and the facial wash are my favorite cleansers , I have combination skin so I use both as a double cleanser and my skin is so clear and soft and I'm left with the most beautiful glow . Also I always recommend this cleaner for rosacea or irritated skin , anytime a client comes in with redness , irritation or overexfoliated skin I ALWAYS recommend it and the results are absolutely amazing everytime , this cleanser with the rebalance moisturizer completely heal the skin in less than a month without breaking out the skin. Though this cleanser is good, I feel it’s still too harsh to use after a peel. I 100% prefer to creamy cleanser to the facial wash for post-peel care. It isn’t as harsh as the Facial Wash Oily/Problem, but I don’t see this as a suitable cleanser after such an abrasive service. On a day of heavy makeup, though, I feel this would be suitable to ensure no residue is left on the skin. I haven’t worn makeup in quite some time, so I haven’t tested this theory just yet.ladasia.c

This cleanser goes on great and foams up quite easily. As you're cleansing it feels really nice, refreshing and effective. As someone with normal skin who probably leans slightly to the dry side of things, I did find this to be mildly stripping on some parts of my face, but wouldn't go so far as to say it was fully drying. Knowing that this is meant for normal to oily skin, it's not something I would've picked up for myself but I did get a sample size of it so of course had to try it out. It was good enough to finish the sample (about 3 uses) but not for my skin type to consider purchasing. I'd recommend it for oily skin types only.Bernie

I use to have a lot of Comedonal acne but after 4-5 days of use, it considerably reduced. The salicylic acid gentle cleanser is perfect for this acne type. I tried so many other products to get rid of this type of acne but did not work. I also visited cosmetologist/ dermatologist but they only prescribed me products for normal acne. I found my skin too dry and sensitive for this foam. After usege, the face becomes cleaner, but extremly dry. Additionaly, since the foam has salicylic acid, it does not go well with creams that have some acids or atypical components. Because of this my skin starts to redden and as a result I had to wash off what I put on my face. But I was able to somehow combine it all and so now everything is fine. Also, after two weeks of use, the skin got a little better and removed some problem areas, but could not cope with my chin – so I will change the foam. So I do not recommend for people with skin type like mine. Instead, my friend who has oily skin, this product is perfect – so it depends.
I've tried many salicylic acid cleansers in the past (hello, teenager years and acne), and most of them have left my skin feeling tight and dry. Not this one. It's so gentle you can use it during the morning and night. I put literally a teeny, tiny dollop, the size of a quarter of your pinky fingernail and it foams soooo much on your face. Granted, I use this on my Foreo Luna cleanser brush and the bubbles and foam is tight and small, but creamy. When I wash it off, my skin feels clean but still moisturized. Would buy this again!!

This face wash is the best i could find out there. my skin is oily and sesnitive at the same time. I do get breakouts here and there randomly. With some redness on the face along with sensitive skin, finfing the right face washwash was a challenge. This is the best face wash, doesnt dry out my skin after the wash, skin feels clean, refreshed and supple. I love the clear gel texture of the facewash. If you talk about the price , its definatley worth it as it goes a long way. Value for money yes, and gentle to the skin. It doesnt irritates my skin after the wash and has mild fragrance. I’m not sure how this did well with other peoples acne and outbreaks but this formula just wasn’t for me. I love the smell but for those with sensitive skin may want to stay away. Like many La Roche products a dime size will lather very well for my entire face and neck. Unfortunately I’m stuck with an entire bottle of face wash I can only use once a day. Its perfect for oily skin. I have suffered from acne since along time. Then my dermatologist prescribed my this facial cleanser. And i never stopped it since then. I am from egypt i used it there and i searched for it here in the US. until i found it on the website. I found it in cvs pharmacy too. My recommendation, if you have an oily skin like mine . Is to use it daily once or twice a day depending on your skin needs, and apply la roche posay matte moisturizer afterwards. Use a facial scrub once weekly. Best cleanser I’ve used. I finally have control over my breakout/cystic acne-prone skin and I have confidence, which is all too important. This has kept my skin clearer and has helped with oiliness better than any other wash I’ve used (I use this combined with the Cera Ve face lotion) and I live in FL, so that’s saying something! It keeps my skin balanced despite the changing weather, from the dryness to the humidity. For those who tend to automatically say something makes their face break out… there’s a difference between your skin breaking out/flaring up/having a bad reaction versus having it purge from a new product. I will tell you that in the beginning I went through some skin purging for a couple weeks. Please Google/know the difference. (: Leave it alone, be kind to your skin. Afterwards my skin cleared up and has stayed clear and clean and nice for months. Even after I got pregnant and with all the hormonal changes, this has maintained my skin so, so well. I can’t recommend this wash enough (and Cera Ve products in general, add the face lotion, too!). But again, just be patient! Skin miracles will not happen overnight. I am a massive skincare enthusiast and I have tested probably 60 cleansers in my skincare journey. And I ALWAYS come back to this one. I have probably gone through 30 bottles of this. This is one of the least drying foaming cleansers I have ever tried. This is one of those foaming cleansers that does NOT leave your face even remotely squeaky clean once you rinse it from your face. No joke. When you rinse it away, your skin feels slippery and smooth still; not even the faintest amount of "squeakiness" at all. Now… if you pat your face dry and let your face get bone dry afterward- of course your face will get dry! Some people do this and judge the cleanser for being "drying"- ANY cleanser, even hydrating ones, will feel drying if you don't hydrate the skin immediately after cleansing with serums and moisturizers. You shouldn't be allowing your face to dry down anyways. As soon as you cleanse, walk to your counter and apply your first serum onto damp skin. I digress. This cleanser is absolutely incredible. I read the reviews for this after I bought it and was kinda scared it would break me out. Turns out my fears were unfounded. My skin is fairly sensitive and I'm prone to ingrown hairs. Of course, YMMV, but this stuff has been working wonders for my skin, and I use it right after shaving when my skin is most sensitive. I'm not sure if the other reviewers received a bad batch, left the product on too long, or had an allergic reaction to a component within, but I have had zero issues and have nothing but good things to say about this stuff. To be on the safe side, I moisturize heavily and apply an alcohol-free aftershave as soon as I finish washing my face. I have to use a mixture of Vaseline with cocoa and either Uncle Jon's Lime Up aftershave, Lime skin food, and/or Proraso Azure Lime aftershave balm. The results speak for themselves. Using just Vaseline leaves my skin greasy, and using just an aftershave leaves my skin dry. I highly recommend Uncle Jon's Lime Up aftershave to use in conjunction with this, especially if you use this after you shave.ai.h

I actually was lucky to be a part of the pop-up event in Dallas Northpark a few weeks ago (simple because I saw everyone being handed free popsicles – !Lol) I wasn't sure what was happening but a very nice rep walked me through the experience and I was sold almost immediately. The skin care brand that I was using prior was acquired by another conglomerate and their composition of their products changed vastly (I could not understand why I was breaking out again after I thought I had found "the one"). To preface, I have fair skin that is pretty sensitive and prone to dryness and occasional hormonal acne. My go to cleansers are Dermologica Daily Microfoliant and Vanicream gentle face wash. Decided to add this product to my rotation after dealing with a couple of stubborn hormonal/maskne breakouts and being recommended this brand by a friend. Due to the high % of salicylic acid, i only used it 2-3 times a week. After about a month, I began to suffer from some of the worst breakouts i have EVER experienced in my life on my temples, cheeks and chin which i am just now starting to recover from after 6 weeks. I think the mix of salicylic acid and tea tree oil is way too irritating and i would not recommend it to anyone that has sensitive skin.Sarah
I am very skeptical of all products that claim to help acne because I have never found one that actually worked…. until I met THIS. I have oily skin, and have since I was a teen. Being postpartum, I have had random breakouts that seem to never end. This product has not only kept my skin breakout free no matter the fluctuation of hormones, but it gives me the most gorgeous glow every single day. If I even start to get a pimple, it’s gone the next day. Over the course of 4 months using this cleanser, my large pores which I was always embarrassed of started smoothing out and getting a ton smaller. I loooooove this product. Not only do I appreciate Tula for having diverse range of products, but the fact they throw in almost full size gifts (like the hair skin and nails gummies I just got)! I was so glad to find a reputable dealer for this product in Dermavenue; it was always so disappointing to purchase it elsewhere for the same price and not receive the actual product. I don't find the cleanser to be overly strong at all – just use a smaller amount and rinse before it gets too tingly if that's an issue. I love the way it takes care of any oily areas/clogged pores without drying out other areas of my face.Rebeka
Jan Marini Bioglycolic face cleanser is my new favorite cleanser. This is a cream cleanser that does not leave your skin dry. Add this to dry skin and massage in with circular motions. I love the little bite my skin feels due to the glycolic acid. Rinse with a cool towel and there's no need to use toner afterwards. I still use my toner out of habit but my skin feels so smooth and my skin tone is more even due to this cleanser. One draw back is if you have eye makeup on you'll need to use a separate cleanser to get it off, you wouldn't want glycolic acid in your eyes. The benefits of this cleanser definitely out weighs that small issue and definitely recommend for ALL skin types.shakeina.w
Let's be honest, I was never great at taking care of my skin. I had pretty flawless skin during my adolescent years, so I didn't think much about maintaining it and ensuring it STAYS flawless. Key adulthood- patches of dryness and oily areas cover my face. The two or three weekly blemishes continue to show their ugly head, and my overly sensitive skin turns beet red at the smallest touch. I was so frustrated. I didn't know how to correct so many skin problems all at once and was totally kicking myself for neglecting my skin and not establishing a proper skincare routine before hitting my twenties.
