I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. This is the first, and probably only, flat iron I would recommend to anyone asking for it.Katie
I used this flat iron about once a week and loved it. The temperature heats very quickly but the downside is that it shuts off after 30 minutes. I have really long thick hair and it takes me about one hour to straighten all of it. So it’s a bit of an inconvenience shutting off after 30 minutes. I was really disappointed that after having it for only a few months, it began malfunctioning, saying “error” on the display and turning off every 10 minutes.
I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.krystal .d

It heats up quickly and has an automatic shut off for safety. It has several heat settings. I can work with fairly large hair sections and it comes out straight with one pass. This brand and product was the first flat iron I owned, after the first one broke several years after, I was gifted another brand that after several years broke as well. I don't typically write reviews. The CHI G2 flat iron is an excellent professional results tool. The passes at the roots of my hair are not uncomfortable/hot on my scalp. The previous flat iron I owned for 10 years began to pull my hair. Passes at the roots of my hair were uncomfortably hot. I decided to purchase a professional quality tool this time around. The plates glide smoothly over my hair with no pulling/tugging. I don't feel heat on my scalp yet I can straighten the roots of my hair. The auto heat setting of 370 degrees is ideal for my hair type. Results look like the salon results I get at the salon. In my opinion, it is critical to use a good quality heat protectant. I purchased professional quality heat protectant and leave-in conditioner to use with the CHI G2. I believe the products helped with the results I got with the CHI G2.Loja
That extra quarter inch makes a difference for longer hair. The heat is consistent. Love the digital settings. I use medium prefixed setting and within a minute it is fully heated. You'll only need one pass through to get smooth results. There is no tugging or pulling the hair. You can get close to the roots easily. I run the iron all the way down except the last inch to protect my ends. Also, the plates are positioned just right so that you never burn your scalp. Just received my new Chi G2 straightener today. I LOVE IT! it works so good! My older original Chi still works but I noticed my hair just wasn’t getting as straight as it used to so I purchased this one and it works soooo good! Straight from the box, this straightener has a soft high-quality feel and sleek look. It’s really nice to hold due to whatever material it’s made out of. It’s light and the cord swivels, allowing for a range of motion, so for those of you who want to use it to create waves or curls, it’s really convenient. The straightener also has an auto-shut off feature, which is exactly what I needed because I always worry that I forgot to turn my straightener off. Oddly enough, due to the auto-shut off, this straightener has alleviated a lot of stress for me. Lastly, regarding design, it comes with a heat-proof nozzle, which is such a nice feature when you have a small countertop like I do and tend to burn yourself after you’ve finished straightening your hair. As for straightening, this works wonderfully. I have fine wavy hair that tends to frizz at the tips and curl. It takes me fifteen minutes to straighten my hair, but this straightener made my hair look shinier and straighter without any kinks. For this straightener to cost as much as it does, you’d think it would work properly. I have naturally curly hair which can take about 30 minutes to straighten. It is so cute and feels so fancy! It comes in a sturdy box that you could reuse and just looks so well presented. Anyways on to the actual product…\n\nThis iron feels so nice in your hand. I have small hands and i think it is the perfect size. Better yet it is coated in such a soft rubbery type material on the surface which makes it easy to grip and less likely to slip. As someone who easily burns herself on irons by having them slip this is a huge plus for me. At first I was confused where the digital display would be (before I turned it on) but once I did and saw it light up in the pretty rose gold part at the bottom I was very excited. That makes it seem very high end and fancy. Another really great design is the power button- it is on the inside of the straightening iron. How many times have I accidentally turned the power off or the heat up or down? Too many! This totally solves that issue because you can accidentally push a button on the inside. You control the heat and power with that one button and it’s very easy to understand and do. \n\nAnother thing about the design of this iron is the very cool heat resistant cover that comes with it. I haven’t seen this in any other iron and I’m very impressed with it. For storage, traveling, and every day use a cover is beyond helpful to avoid burns. Best I have ever used, after several Ion flat irons. I thought each of them was best when purchased. I bought this to have as backup for when my current Ion was out of commission. I liked it so well, I relegated my current iron to backup and now use this one exclusively. First and primary improvement is that the temp control is located on the inside portion of the iron. On the older one, it was easy to accidentally hit the "off" button (located on the outside of the barrel), cooling the iron. Then had to heat it up again. This Ion heats up quickly and does the job beautifully. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Okay, so I have been exclusively using flat irons for 15 years and this is the best one I have used to date. To tell you more about the product, I will list the pros and cons below: Pros: -Temperature is adjustable by 10 degree increments (numerous heat setting options). -Device remembers what heat setting you used from last time upon turning on. -Temperature gauges and power button are in an area that will not accidentally be pressed. -Titanium plates heat up very quickly and are like butter and do not pull at the ends of my hair. -I have not noticed breakage with this product. -1 hour shut off and dual voltage ability (DO NOT USE A CONVERTER). -Product is built very sturdy and the rounded tips make it great for creating curls/waves. -The heat is controlled at the end of the device by the plates and does not travel up to the handle. Cons: -If you do not hold your hair while you straighten it, you may experience some minor tugging (this does not happen often for me, just if I am not paying attention). -The end of the iron can get quite not (not the worst I've experienced, but keep this in mind for making curls/waves). I do just want to add that out of all the research I did before purchasing a new flat iron is that CHI seems to be very reputable. I did not come across a single review that mentioned their product breaking before the warranty period of 2 years. This was the first flat iron I ever got. Thank God I have upgraded to a better one. I couldn't stand dealing with this one. Then again my hair is super curly. I am mixed (black and white) so I have very thick long curly hair. I'm not sure how this straightener would've worked on a different hair type, but I know that I eventually resorted to just using it to straighten my bangs. Effectiveness It worked OKAY. I usually had to straighten the smallest sections of hair in order to get it straightened properly. I also had to straighten over the same small pieces of hair a few times to get it straight. There are different heat settings. I usually set mine to the highest because that's what my hair needed. Make sure you do clean it from time to time because that will effect the iron's ability to straighten the way it should. Durability This flat iron is cheaply made. SO BE CAREFUL WITH IT. I have always used a curling iron even when the flat iron become the new thing. I already have straight hair but it lacks body and volume. The Conair Ultra Slim looked like a experimental flat iron since it's very affordable. I like the curve to the handle, this feature makes it easy to use and feels comfortable the whole time. I figure a slim flat iron would be a better fit for my hair, it's not thick, but it's not thin either. It took me so long to section off each part if my hair and go over it with this Ultra Slim Flat Iron! I used a flat iron spray to help with the hold, and after it was all said and done my hair looked straight but laid flat on my head. I've learned new techniques since purchasing this flat iron and see where this one can help with getting close enough to the roots to add volume. The settings go up to 25, so there's a range of heat to use, it also heats up fast in under a minute. Since it took me so long to go over my entire head of hair I will now use this one as a touch up flat iron or a back up while I travel. I have type 4 hair and i was able to get my hair like I just came from the Dominican salon. The key is to put heat protectant spray while it’s wet, blow dry real good, then use the chase method to straighten. I put the heat on 20 or 25, not all the way to 30 After. I turned the heat down more and made loose flat iron curls to give it more body. I’m no hair stylist but this was easy to use Also, I used OGX PROTECTING AND SILK BLOWOUT SPRAY. I have been using this to curl my short hair (hits mid neck), and this gives me the perfect texture I am looking for. I had been wanting to get a straighter at a good price and I found this one which was about $20. Overall I really liked this straightener. My hair is fine, type 2b so straightening my hair was very fast. The first time I tried it I didn’t have that much time so I didn’t section off my hair and straighten a section at a time. I was still able to get very good results. I would have liked the straightener to help me more with my frizzy hair, but hey, this can’t solve all my problems. The straightener heats up fast so that’s a plus. It would have been helpful for the display to light up so I could see the temperature but it’s not a huge problem for me. Don’t waste your time and money on this product. I bought it because it was on sale for Black Friday and I was due for a new straightener. However, this straightener struggled to heat up. I tried to restart my outlet and everything then it worked ONLY ONCE. It never heated up after and started showing “Error” on the small screen. I have been using this flat iron consistently over the last couple of weeks, and here are my thoughts and views on the product, itself, and how it performs. My hair is rather thick and naturally wavy and it rarely ever just does what I want it to do. It requires high heat and styling tools and products if I am trying to achieve a sleek and straight look. With this flat iron alone, I have not been able to achieve that look. I feel that 410 degrees is just not a heat may possibly not be high enough heat for the texture of my hair. I also had a hard time reading the digital temperature setting. I think it would help to have a backlight with this setting. Upon receiving this product, I noticed it had a very new smell… that of a product which was brand new and had never been used. The flat iron smells somewhat like burnt plastic when it is first turned on and I did smell it several times after the first use. I don't smell it anymore though and it wasn't that bothersome to me. I just associated that smell with it being brand new and recently manufactured. In all fairness, I think that this is a pretty good product when compared to others in the same pricing bracket. It's a good value for the price. I have been a long time user of Remington styling tools and have had favorable experiences with all of those which I have ever owned and used. The straightener it's OK if you already have straight or slightly wavy hair because it doesn't really change your hair that much. I've been using the straightener for about a year now and currently shopping for a new one because I'm just not satisfied I feel like I straighten my hair and two hours later it's catching some type of wave I also have naturally straight hair so it's very frustrating because I don't expect much from a straightener than to actually hold the straight style. I don't honestly see a less damaging affect I feel like if anything all of my split ends are a lot more noticeable I've also noticed that both sides of the plates don't get evenly hot. I give it three stars because it's cute it has a cool digital temperature setting and the color is nice but as far as effectiveness goes it's really not that great. No clue why people are having issues with this iron. I've had it for a year and used it about 4-6 times a month since I try not to use heat on my hair too much, and it's still in perfect condition. I want to take good care of my styling tools, but I usually leave in a hurry so I usually just put mine on the floor or roll up the cord and shove it underneath my sink, and it survived that mistreating LOL I even took it with me in my suitcase twice on trips, still works perfectly. I usually only ever buy the cheap straighteners and they get the job done but the results were never as good as I get from the salon and their high-quality tools. Well, the Miss Priss gives me the lasting results I want. It’s a beautiful color, comfortable to use, I love the temp display and range of temp options. The cord is plenty long enough. And I’m able to quickly and easily straighten or curl my hair usually in the first past. For reference, I have EXTREMELY healthy 2B to 2C hair. I keep up with the protein/moisture balance to keep my hair incredibly healthy. I havent bleached my hair in around 18 years, and only dye my hair – at max – once or twice a year … I've heard about Lange hair tools for years, but never wanted to risk trying them because too many hair tools have let me down. When this went on black Friday sales for $19, I thought it was the perfect time to try it. I had recently bought a $19 Corsair from a local discount store because I was away from home and forgot my PYT straightener. This (original price) $70 Lange one pass literally felt and performed the same. It literally made my hair FEEL like it was getting fried as soon as it touched my hair. I use the same heat protectant spray with all my straightener. Typically, with my PYT and with the protectant, my hair is smoother, softer, shinier. After the one pass my hair felt drier and looked duller. I only gave two stars because I feel – design wise – it's very comfortable for curling with the straightener (as is the corsair). I'd be highly upset had I paid full price. For $19, I'll toss it in my box of tools for backups or donations to friends. I would not recommend.Suzie T.
This feels so amazing to hold. The satin-ish feeling on the iron is so high quality. It does work nice. I just wished it was digital. But, it doesn't take away from the quality and the way it works. I have fine wavy hair and usually it takes me 30 to 45 minutes after drying my hair to straighten it, but with the L'ange flat iron I straightened my hair in about 20 minutes because it only took one pass to get the wave out. I didn't find it to hot to hold or use but I don't hold the tip of my flat iron. It didn't pull or rip my hair, it was smooth and easy. And it may have been the Cascade blow out shampoo and conditioner or the Sorbet balm but I didn't have as much frizz as I normally do. So if you're on a budget and need a high quality flat iron then this is definitely the one. Plus I got it on sale so it was even better. Definitely will buy the higher valued flat iron when it's time for a new one, but this works great.Melissa
EXCELLENT straightener – one pass if you go semi-slow and fast! I straightened my hair inn minutes and my hair is very long…thick…I loved how my hair looked – it stayed straight for days and looked healthier/shinier after straightening it with this (didn't shampoo for a few days to see how my hair held up-I can do that as my hair does not get oily even my scalp for a very long time)…I would give 5 stars but my curls did get some crimps…user error yes I got better as I used it but due to the design and how was explained on website – I did not expect that to occur…mind you the crimp was small compared to other straighteners where they have no curvature on edge of plates but still that bugged me. Overall VERY satisfied and would highly recommend – especially with the fantastic sale price I paid at Christmas time and it showed up within a week (super fast)! DO IT! I have had my unit for three years. I have long coarse frizzy hair. This flat iron has reduced my straightening time to about 12 minutes. I use the second to lowest temp setting on small sections of dry hair. I get beautiful waves by twisting the flat iron and pulling down through the hair with an even amount of tension. Here in Miami the humidity is high but after I straighten my hair, it doesn't frizz. I don't use any straightening products before using the flat iron. Just clean, very dry hair and the second to lowest temperature setting (420 degrees F). The cord is long and swivels to prevent tangles. I don’t feel like the flatiron is working to its full potential I’ve used the FHI flat iron before but based on this recent purchase I made I don’t think the flat iron works the same. It seems to take a while to heat up and when it does it constantly shuts back off. It might be a safety feature in order for it not to overheat but I have very thick and curly hair and in order for me to properly straighten my hair I need my flat iron to stay hot enough. I bought this straightener from a third party (Sally's beauty) 79 days ago. This product is VERY cheaply made!!! The plate broke from a 2 foot drop onto my bathroom RUG!!! Since it was accidental damage, the company won't do anything about it. And since its after the 60 days, Sally's beauty wont do anything about it either. Such a waste of $50 on a straightener that can't withstand a 2 foot fall, on a soft padded bathroom rug. I'll be taking my money to L'ange, I've heard better reviews on their products!Vanessa C.
I love this straightener! The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of five, is the dial used to change the temperature is very vague. Its hard to see exactly what temperature you have it on. More numbers or maybe an LED would have made this 5 out of 5. That said it an amazing straightener!Cameron B.

This is without a doubt my favorite straightener that falls under an affordable price for the average person. I've used many that were really horrible in the same price range. This one has adjustable temperature and heats up in 30 seconds. It only takes 1 or 2 swipes down the hair to smooth it out so you are not overheating and damaging your hair completely. It leaves your hair shiny and flawless while taking no time at all to actually straighten all of your hair. The automatic safety shut off is an awesome addition to this flat iron as well!holly.k
I can't see myself ever spending $150-$200+ on a flat iron .. Although I was almost to that point. I tried many mid priced irons in the past several months since I got my hair cut to my shoulders.(cut 17 inches off!) I never really styled it when it was so long … It just took too much time. I bought a couple of conair irons to try .. And I wasn't impressed. Something about this one caught my eye and I bought it. I tried it for the first time and was SO annoyed and disappointed .. Because it worked so well – but my hands always pushed the settings buttons when I ironed my hair, and turned off the iron or changed the heat setting. I tried many different ways to hold it.. And finally figured out that the middle part and end of the iron did not get hot. That's the natural place you want to hold the iron when you straighten, but I've been burned before when I did that.. So I automatically always held my irons closer to the cord end of the iron. But the outside of the plates do not get hot – even at 455 degrees. So finally .. I can hold the iron and squeeze the plates where I've always needed to!AJ
As a black woman with natural hair, this is the best flat iron I've ever had. I've had it for 6 years and it shows no signs of stopping. Yes, the buttons are in a bad place, but that is nothing when compared to how great it works to leave my hair frizz-free! Don't waste your money. Pay alittle more to get an authentic Babyliss flat iron. I have kinky hair and in order to straightened my relaxed hair I had to go over the same area many, many times. I purchased another from Amazon and only need to flat iron hair one time. Add the extra money to get the real flat iron.
Having previously used GHDs I opted for these after my GHD’s passed away and these were recommended by a friend. I think I got them on an Amazon lightening deal so the price was a total bargain at the time…I think these are way better than GHDS! The fact you can choose various heat settings…win….the delicacy of the plates on my hair…win…the beautiful straight shiny hair outcome…WIN…the price….win win.
