I had an older version of this hair styler that lasted several years. When it finally was time to retire it I bought this one thinking it would be the same just updated. I absolutely love my new flat iron that also allows for the ease of doing my hair while it’s wet. What a time saver it has been for me going to Nursing school & Work! The quality is excellent. It has air holes allowing it to vent and express steam and dry your hair while it is wet or damp. I set it at 300 temperature and it takes 10 seconds to heat up so it’s ready to start straightening right away. However it does take a bit for it to cool down. The iron is a great size for those of us that small irons aren’t enough. You can take a whole big section and it flattens easily and looks great. So bigger sections also allow for getting done a lot quicker. No need to take small sections to get a great look. I love the 360 swivel of the cord that keeps it from getting tangled so easily and creating a short life for the iron. You can use both hands without constantly trying to move the cord out of the way. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great innovative flat iron that’s efficient, great design and creates great styles. I’ve been straightening my hair for over 10 years and have gone through a lot of flat irons. I would skip this one. I read the reviews for purchasing, and I should’ve listened. As a flat iron, it’s just okay. It does take multiple passes to straighten as others have stated. I have moderately wavy to curly hair, so nothing too crazy, and it does a mediocre job. This does pull at my hair, which results in fall out. The temp controls are the best I’ve ever across since it allows you to choose basically any heat setting, which is awesome. That isn’t enough to make this straightener worth the purchase though. Definitely skip this and look for a better reviewed flat iron. I will be returning this one.MM
I am really impressed with this Revlon Pro hair straightener! It did a fantastic job of straightening my hair, and it did it very quickly and efficiently. I have tried out a few hair straighteners lately, and one of the things that set this one apart was the temperature display as well as the ability to set the exact temperature that I wanted to straighten my hair. I also like how quickly this heated up! This one really was ready to go in about ten seconds, perfect for when you're short on time, which I'm guessing most of us are! I also like the locking feature. That's better for storing the straightener as well as travelling with it. When you're ready to lock the unit simply close it, then slide the lock button over to hold it in a closed position. I did find that this straightener is best for actually straightening hair rather than attempting to curl it. The plates have a rather squared off edge, so when I attempted to curl my hair using this it gave the curl a kinky edge. I have curly 3A hair, and I recently cut my hair short. We all know that when you cut curly hair short, it curls up even more. Whenever I’d straighten my hair with my old flat iron, it wouldn’t stay straight all day. However, with this Ion flat iron, my hair stayed pin straight for 4 days! I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. This is the first, and probably only, flat iron I would recommend to anyone asking for it.Katie
I used this flat iron about once a week and loved it. The temperature heats very quickly but the downside is that it shuts off after 30 minutes. I have really long thick hair and it takes me about one hour to straighten all of it. So it’s a bit of an inconvenience shutting off after 30 minutes. I was really disappointed that after having it for only a few months, it began malfunctioning, saying “error” on the display and turning off every 10 minutes.
I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.krystal .d

I have very crazy, poofy medium – thick unruly curly hair; the type that you pick at and it fros up. I bought it back in 2013 and it still works great (it's now 2016). Even distribution of heat, does not damage my hair and IT DOES GET MY HAIR NICE AND STRAIGHT. It's slim and has a nice curve to it so curling is very much possible with this iron. So i like to think it's a multi iron not only a flat iron. You have a 1 degree to 450 degree possible heat setting lol. It's a rotator button so you get to choose or estimate around where you want your heat to be. It's not a one time pass over your hair like it's expensive comrads like the titanium or more pricier ceramics in the $100's so you have to pass over your hair a few times to get it straight, but when you do, your hair is left soft and with sheen. ( though, I do wonder if it's because of my heat protectent + touch of oil I use that does that. I never EVER flat ironed my hair with out either or so I'm not sure if its the products or iron or BOTH lol…BUT!) this iron is on your side. Over time though it has picked up the habit of snagging at my hair but, it's a three year old flat iron veteran, it was bound to start getting old on me. This is NOT an iron you should use to go from wet hair to straight hair. You need to have dry hair, whether through blow drying or air drying because that will damage your hair, no matter what kind of iron you use. I looked through all of the reviews before I made my purchase. I’ve always wanted a Ghd straightener but could never justify the price until now. Shaver Shop had a sale on and with pay pal pay on four, it wasn’t a huge purchase in one hit so I though stuff it and bought it. Absolutely best decision ever! My hair is the straightest it’s ever been, and it stays fresh all day long. It heats up within 30 seconds and you don’t have to worry about it getting too hot or changing the temperature. I love the long cord as well, it makes it super easy to use and I don’t have to restrict myself by the cord length as to where I use it. I have found my new GHD white hair straightener to be a great product it straightens my hair leaving it looking glossy, straight and healthy. I have used it also to put waves in my hair following the tutorials on the GHD website, I didn't know that it was possible to create waves and curles with straighteners but because this product has a rounded barrel it worked well for creating waves. My hair is natrually wavey and can be prone to dryness and frizz but I have found that using the staighteners together with hair products tends to help these problems and make me feel more confident that my hair is going to look good throughout the day / evening. It is an added bonus that these new hair straighteners are designed to only use an optimal amount of heat as I do not want to damage my already dry hair by subjecting it to excessive heat. The lead is long and the swivel base to the lead makes the product easy to use. I would have liked a heat mat or pouch with this product but that is the only negative thing. I purchased this GHD Platinum styler that was recommended by my hair stylist & I wish I would have done more research on my own first and read more reviews before spending so much money on this flat iron. I am sadly disappointed in this straighter as you can't adjust the heat setting and the temperature "adjusts to your hair." My hair is very fine, thin and curly and I am not impressed. It does not leave my hair straight compared to a less expensive straightener & sadly the straightener's plates catch my hair and pulls my hair out & gets stuck in the plates. The straightener has damaged my ends and pulls out hair constantly. The plus and cord are long and heavy and clunky. Not to mention, the sound when you turn on the straighter is so loud and you can't mute the sound or sound level. If I could give this product a zero rating, I would. I have had this flat iron for 4 months now, and I love it. My hair is frizzy, thick, naturally wavy, and I like to wear it board straight. I do not have the titanium one yet to compare the two but I am interested in trying it as this one does an amazing job and it was the cheaper of the two. It leaves my hair super shiny, smooth, frizz free, and does not damage my hair at all, though my hair has no color in it so not sure how it would handle in that case. The handle does get somewhat hot as previous reviewers have stated but not to the point where I cannot use it. This was the first flat iron I ever got. Thank God I have upgraded to a better one. I couldn't stand dealing with this one. Then again my hair is super curly. I am mixed (black and white) so I have very thick long curly hair. I'm not sure how this straightener would've worked on a different hair type, but I know that I eventually resorted to just using it to straighten my bangs. Effectiveness It worked OKAY. I usually had to straighten the smallest sections of hair in order to get it straightened properly. I also had to straighten over the same small pieces of hair a few times to get it straight. There are different heat settings. I usually set mine to the highest because that's what my hair needed. Make sure you do clean it from time to time because that will effect the iron's ability to straighten the way it should. Durability This flat iron is cheaply made. SO BE CAREFUL WITH IT. I have always used a curling iron even when the flat iron become the new thing. I already have straight hair but it lacks body and volume. The Conair Ultra Slim looked like a experimental flat iron since it's very affordable. I like the curve to the handle, this feature makes it easy to use and feels comfortable the whole time. I figure a slim flat iron would be a better fit for my hair, it's not thick, but it's not thin either. It took me so long to section off each part if my hair and go over it with this Ultra Slim Flat Iron! I used a flat iron spray to help with the hold, and after it was all said and done my hair looked straight but laid flat on my head. I've learned new techniques since purchasing this flat iron and see where this one can help with getting close enough to the roots to add volume. The settings go up to 25, so there's a range of heat to use, it also heats up fast in under a minute. Since it took me so long to go over my entire head of hair I will now use this one as a touch up flat iron or a back up while I travel. I usually only ever buy the cheap straighteners and they get the job done but the results were never as good as I get from the salon and their high-quality tools. Well, the Miss Priss gives me the lasting results I want. It’s a beautiful color, comfortable to use, I love the temp display and range of temp options. The cord is plenty long enough. And I’m able to quickly and easily straighten or curl my hair usually in the first past. I was amazed at how amazing this straighter worked on my hair. I have thick, long, and frizzy hair and I had a 1 inch straightener for a very long time and I thought a bigger plate would speed up the process because of how long and thick it is. AND IT DID! It didn't tug on hairs or anything. You don't even have to clamp it hard for it to get straightened. The only part i was upset about is that the product details said it would come with a mat to put my straightener on and it didn't. Why put it in the product details if it doesn't come with it. Packaging could be better if I'm paying over $200 for a straightener. When I bought my Amika straightener it was was very well packaged in a very nice hard case and came with a protector for it. T3 needs to step up their game in their packaging. Overall though, very good straightener for my hair.Can I please get my mat?

My daughter & I use several size/width BaByliss flatirons. We are African American with curlier textured hair. We nicknamed the Mini "Baby Bop". I purchased this to iron my bangs when I'm traveling for work. You have to section your hair into small portions and it's very difficult to finish with a slight curl at the end. My bangs end up looking straight and almost comical anytime I use this. It's not even that good at small touchups around the face etc. I've given it a few tries, and no luck.
