I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. This is the first, and probably only, flat iron I would recommend to anyone asking for it.Katie
I used this flat iron about once a week and loved it. The temperature heats very quickly but the downside is that it shuts off after 30 minutes. I have really long thick hair and it takes me about one hour to straighten all of it. So it’s a bit of an inconvenience shutting off after 30 minutes. I was really disappointed that after having it for only a few months, it began malfunctioning, saying “error” on the display and turning off every 10 minutes.
I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.krystal .d

I had this flat irons for 3 years now. I set it to 450. After clarifying my hair 3 times or 2 times I follow up with a moisturizing shampoo which I use only one time. Then the conditioner lastly the deep conditioner which I set under the dryer for about 20 minutes. I rinse my hair with lukewarm water then a quick 10 sec shot of ice cold water. I t shirt dry my hair let it set to absorb the water, put some leave in conditioner on my hair then some hair heat protector serum. I section my hair blow dry it on low heat. After I flat iron my hair on 450 using the chase method. It takes me 2 hours to flat iron my hair. My hair is 4c, naturally blonde (do not ask me my race or where I am from because I don't know.), my hair is so thick that sometimes I actually lost my comb in my hair plenty of times. My is my absolute favorite straightener. And I have quite a few (don't judge me 😫 ) and 3 of them have been a chi. I actually got my first one when I was in hair school and it was a pretty basic iron (back then they didnt have the same technology as they have today) and from there I upgraded. They have lasted me FOREVER! This new one came with a warantee and everything which when something is guarenteed I appreciate that as a customer. I'm much more likely to spend a good amount of money if it's a product that the company is so confident in that they can back it up. Anyway it has all the features you would look for in a styling tool. Safety, temp control, shut off feature, you can put it on a stand so it's safe to set down, it came with a cute little case for either travel or as a dust protector. I'm not sure if they all did, but this one that I purchased off the website did. And there are different discounts for people in school or sale or coupons for new or returning customers. I have pretty thick, somewhat wavy hair. Even though my hair isn't very wavy it's very difficult to actually straighten. The most id ever spent on a straightener before this was $20, and you could tell. I am totally impressed by this flat iron. I have always loved CHI straighteners but this is a whole new level of amazing. I have long thick wavy hair and I set the heat to 360 degrees since I read 400 or above can really damage your hair. It heated up to 360 in about 30 sec and was ready to use. The plates are smoother than my other CHI and just glide through my hair. I was done in about 2-3 minutes and my hair has never looked so shiny!! I've always used heat protection spray but the shine was all from this straightener. My hair feels so soft and healthy. I also love the auto shut off feature and it's the main reason I bought this one in the first place because I forget if I unplugged my straightener or not. Only downside to this is the plug doesn't have surge protection on it, so don't straighten your hair while barefoot on a wet floor or around water. Let me start by saying I've been doing my hair for a very long time, I prefer a voluminous messy look or a classy tousled wavy one. My hair is on the thicker side, but the hair itself is pretty fine. It's down to the middle of my back with quite a few long and medium layers. Also there is a slight wave to it if I were to just let it airdry, and holds a curl somewhat decent, but not the best. It is healthy with quite a bit of shine, I definitely prioritize taking care of my hair, for sure. I try to use really good products on my hair, and that includes tools, so I usually have to save up for them, they tend to be pricey! Lol. I have 2 straighteners from 2 very well known brands that both tug, catch, and pull breaking my hair… So, needless to say they are collecting expensive dust in my room. When I got the opportunity to try this tool from GHD I was beyond excited, for once I didn't have to go without to get a quality tool. I received it on Jan 24th and have used it almost every day since. I'm actually having FUN doing my hair again. Zero tugging, pulling, or snapping my hair, glided through like butter, I even checked double checked to make sure it was on, because I felt nothing!!! I tested the ghd original styler on my 2A/2B hair, slightly damp and with a heat-protectant cream. The box is sturdy and feels nice, definitely great for gift-giving and can be used to store the styler. You plug the styler then hold the power button for a second, which lights up and makes a little sound. After only about 4 seconds, a little tune notifies that the styler is hot, which really helps with avoiding accidental burns. And it actually heats up that fast!! There is an initial burnt metal smell, but it dissipated quickly and I haven’t smelled it since. This styler is HOT. It felt like I was sitting next to a heater. But for me, the intense heat did make styling more efficient! I definitely recommend using a heat protectant and keeping an eye on how your hair reacts to this styler!! My personal method of straightening hair with this styler is to do a smooth downward swipe (not hold) on a section of hair, let the hair cool just until it is just warm and not scorching (you can tell), then repeat as necessary until the settled hair is styled as desired. I found that holding the styler in one place will end up creating an indent, but it was surprisingly easy to smooth it over with another quick swipe. Holding the styler is great for some styles, like waves, and the indenting is just something to keep in mind when straightening hair. I was surprised at how smooth, no-frizz, and soft my hair actually was afterwards. The strands weren’t crunchy at all, and they even flowed weightlessly like in a commercial! This ghd original styler worked great for me. The design is easy to wield without accidentally touching skin or straining your hands, and it doesn’t produce a cheap chemical/burnt smell. I have very long, highlighted, thick, combination hair. My top layer being relatively straight, and bottom layers being wavy and curly with sections that are kinky. Now that that’s out of the way… I used the Original 1” Styler 3 different ways, because some days I’m lazy, and some days I actually have the time to put “pro-effort” into my hairstyle, either by straightening or curling it. For my thick hair the Classic Styler straightens better than it curls. If I want the curls to last all day and not fall out I have to start curling my hair from its natural state. With that being said, in order for me to get smooth curls that don’t have any creases or kink in the individual hair strands, I have to pass over my hair at least once before I go in for the actual curling motion… which means when I actually go over it that second time the curl it isn’t as curly, and even has some areas that want to fall immediately. This is not due to the temperature of the straightener though, because it does get perfectly hot. I’m leaning more towards it being the single zone technology paired with my hair being very thick. If you have thin to average hair you’ll have an amazing result curling. When it came to taking the time to pro-straighten my hair by taking 1 inch sections, I really like how the plates glide over the sections of hair easily. It’s also not heavy, and I don’t have to squeeze hard to get good pressure on the hair; which means my hands and arms didn’t get tired. After my hair cooled it was 100% straight, with a lovely, soft and frizz free feel. This lasted all day long too. Last thing I did was “lazy” straightened it by not sectioning or isolating any of it at all… So starting with air dried hair in its natural form, I ran the straightener through my hair randomly. This is where the Classic Styler really shines! It DOES NOT pull on hair or snag at all. Not even a little! I was super impressed by this. The results of this lazy method were fantastic for putting minimal effort in! I cannot stress this enough. Straight from the box, this straightener has a soft high-quality feel and sleek look. It’s really nice to hold due to whatever material it’s made out of. It’s light and the cord swivels, allowing for a range of motion, so for those of you who want to use it to create waves or curls, it’s really convenient. The straightener also has an auto-shut off feature, which is exactly what I needed because I always worry that I forgot to turn my straightener off. Oddly enough, due to the auto-shut off, this straightener has alleviated a lot of stress for me. Lastly, regarding design, it comes with a heat-proof nozzle, which is such a nice feature when you have a small countertop like I do and tend to burn yourself after you’ve finished straightening your hair. For this straightener to cost as much as it does, you’d think it would work properly. I have naturally curly hair which can take about 30 minutes to straighten. This thing shuts off at least 5 times while I’m using it. You don’t realize it until you’ve gone over one piece of hair 6 times because it doesn’t seem to want to straighten. I have small hands and i think it is the perfect size. Better yet it is coated in such a soft rubbery type material on the surface which makes it easy to grip and less likely to slip. At first I was confused where the digital display would be (before I turned it on) but once I did and saw it light up in the pretty rose gold part at the bottom I was very excited. I absolutely love my new flat iron that also allows for the ease of doing my hair while it’s wet. What a time saver it has been for me going to Nursing school & Work! The quality is excellent. It has air holes allowing it to vent and express steam and dry your hair while it is wet or damp. I set it at 300 temperature and it takes 10 seconds to heat up so it’s ready to start straightening right away. However it does take a bit for it to cool down. The iron is a great size for those of us that small irons aren’t enough. You can take a whole big section and it flattens easily and looks great. So bigger sections also allow for getting done a lot quicker. No need to take small sections to get a great look. I love the 360 swivel of the cord that keeps it from getting tangled so easily and creating a short life for the iron. You can use both hands without constantly trying to move the cord out of the way. My hair is very fine and tends to frizz at the mention of the word humidity! I love straightening my hair, but I don't like that I have to dry it first or having to leave it air dry and straighten it the next day. This Wet2Style 1 3/4 Flat Iron is my new best friend. Finally I can achieve a really smooth style on my unruly stubborn hair without damaging it. After watching a program on how using hair straighteners at too high a temperature was damaging for hair I had largely given up trying to straighten my hair as previously the only way to achieve a smooth style was using the maximum heat. On the day I got my Panasonic hair straighteners my hair was frizzy and wavy from damp air so after a quick read of the instructions I heated them up to 180 C and within a few minutes my hair was tamed and sleek again. I didn't need to use any additional products to achieve this, also the next day my hair looked just as good. The instructions are very clear and give plenty of information about the Nanoe technology and how to use the straighteners. The instructions are very clear and the straighteners are very simple to use. I like the automatic switch off feature that ensures that if you forget to turn them off they will shut off after 60 minutes. No more worrying if you have left them turned on when you have gone out. One addition I would like to see is a bag to keep them in or even better a heat proof wrap that you can rest them on to protect any surface you put them on. An older pair of straighteners I had included one of these. They work equally well with just washed and dried hair, in fact they work so well that I don't have to spend so much time trying to style my hair with the brush as the straighteners soon have my hair smooth and silky. You can easily select any temperature between 150C and 230C and I have found they work very well at lower temperatures. They heat up very quickly and glide through the hair with no pulls or tugs. My hair has never looked so shiny and healthy, the Nanoe technology seems to work well. The whole package and the straighteners themselves look very luxurious and would make a lovely gift for someone. I like the option of being able to set different temperatures (although personally I don't know why you'd need to) which some may find useful. However it would be helpful if the setting was remembered when the straighteners are switched off as each time you have to press the button multiple times to get to the 230' temperature. I didn't notice an audible alert to say the temperature was reached, this would be a handy feature. Upon using the straighteners, I found that they tugged my hair a little which made their use unpleasant. There's also a little catch /noggin inside where your hair can easily get caught in which pulls further. I bought this so I could use it to curl my hair and I thought the claim that it has this amazing technology to hydrate the hair also sounded good. I have now tried it a few times and I have ended up with damaged and dry hair. It does not work and requires several passed just to straighten my hair. Curling is impossible. I have now bought the Revlon straightener and I am very happy as it works in much lower temperatures and is very effective as a curler. Revlon is much cheaper as well. My hair is fine, type 2b so straightening my hair was very fast. The first time I tried it I didn’t have that much time so I didn’t section off my hair and straighten a section at a time. I was still able to get very good results. I would have liked the straightener to help me more with my frizzy hair, but hey, this can’t solve all my problems. I have been using this flat iron consistently over the last couple of weeks, and here are my thoughts and views on the product, itself, and how it performs. My hair is rather thick and naturally wavy and it rarely ever just does what I want it to do. It requires high heat and styling tools and products if I am trying to achieve a sleek and straight look. With this flat iron alone, I have not been able to achieve that look. I feel that 410 degrees is just not a heat may possibly not be high enough heat for the texture of my hair. I also had a hard time reading the digital temperature setting. I think it would help to have a backlight with this setting. Upon receiving this product, I noticed it had a very new smell… that of a product which was brand new and had never been used. The flat iron smells somewhat like burnt plastic when it is first turned on and I did smell it several times after the first use. I don't smell it anymore though and it wasn't that bothersome to me. I just associated that smell with it being brand new and recently manufactured. In all fairness, I think that this is a pretty good product when compared to others in the same pricing bracket. It's a good value for the price. I have been a long time user of Remington styling tools and have had favorable experiences with all of those which I have ever owned and used. I don't typically write reviews. The CHI G2 flat iron is an excellent professional results tool. The passes at the roots of my hair are not uncomfortable/hot on my scalp. The previous flat iron I owned for 10 years began to pull my hair. Passes at the roots of my hair were uncomfortably hot. I decided to purchase a professional quality tool this time around. The plates glide smoothly over my hair with no pulling/tugging. I don't feel heat on my scalp yet I can straighten the roots of my hair. The auto heat setting of 370 degrees is ideal for my hair type. Results look like the salon results I get at the salon. In my opinion, it is critical to use a good quality heat protectant. I purchased professional quality heat protectant and leave-in conditioner to use with the CHI G2. I believe the products helped with the results I got with the CHI G2.Loja
That extra quarter inch makes a difference for longer hair. The heat is consistent. Love the digital settings. I use medium prefixed setting and within a minute it is fully heated. You'll only need one pass through to get smooth results. There is no tugging or pulling the hair. You can get close to the roots easily. I run the iron all the way down except the last inch to protect my ends. Also, the plates are positioned just right so that you never burn your scalp. My older original Chi still works but I noticed my hair just wasn’t getting as straight as it used to so I purchased this one and it works soooo good! I was a bit skeptical purchasing this because of the price.. Most cheap flat irons don't work at all! But with the rating and positive reviews I figured why not, its not like I'm investing that much money into it.. And after using it one time I am VERY HAPPY that I purchased this flat iron!! It works great and even tho it got a bit to hot it works great for my hair! Not Purple as shown, Product description (photo) is incorrect. I bought this in the past, but they must have changed the straightener but not updated the description. The straightener I received is not purple, but black with purple plates. Same goes for the purple blow dryer by Remington sold here on Walmart (shows purple but is all black with purple accents). My is my absolute favorite straightener. And I have quite a few (don't judge me 😫 ) and 3 of them have been a chi. I actually got my first one when I was in hair school and it was a pretty basic iron (back then they didnt have the same technology as they have today) and from there I upgraded. They have lasted me FOREVER! This new one came with a warantee and everything which when something is guarenteed I appreciate that as a customer. I'm much more likely to spend a good amount of money if it's a product that the company is so confident in that they can back it up. Anyway it has all the features you would look for in a styling tool. Safety, temp control, shut off feature, you can put it on a stand so it's safe to set down, it came with a cute little case for either travel or as a dust protector. I'm not sure if they all did, but this one that I purchased off the website did. And there are different discounts for people in school or sale or coupons for new or returning customers. The length of time they have ALL lasted is deff worth paying the extra money to have the quality and guarentee that you're getting a great tool that you will use on a daily basis.jollean.s
I have pretty thick, somewhat wavy hair. Even though my hair isn't very wavy it's very difficult to actually straighten. The most id ever spent on a straightener before this was $20, and you could tell. I'd go over and over my hair with my revlon trying to get it flat and not to mention the plastic catching on my hair and ripping it But this has changed my life in just the 24 hours I've had it!! I am totally impressed by this flat iron. I have always loved CHI straighteners but this is a whole new level of amazing. I have long thick wavy hair and I set the heat to 360 degrees since I read 400 or above can really damage your hair. It heated up to 360 in about 30 sec and was ready to use. The plates are smoother than my other CHI and just glide through my hair. I was done in about 2-3 minutes and my hair has never looked so shiny!! I've always used heat protection spray but the shine was all from this straightener. My hair feels so soft and healthy. I also love the auto shut off feature and it's the main reason I bought this one in the first place because I forget if I unplugged my straightener or not. Only downside to this is the plug doesn't have surge protection on it, so don't straighten your hair while barefoot on a wet floor or around water. Thankfully my husband installed outlets in our bathroom that have the surge protection buttons on them. Just something to be aware of. Otherwise, this hair tool is a no brainer. This iron is perfect! I have thin hair but have been told I have a lot of thin hair. ? My hair is very wavy when air dried. I always blow dry it out and it straightens it pretty well but still have waves. I first put it on 400 and it did a fabulous job. My hair was straight and I could still curve it under without a crimp. I also highlight blond in it regularly and it still made it silky and shiny, I love it!! Definitely recommend unless you have very thin dry hair.Deana
I used the Prima Titanium Flat Iron 1 Inch for the first time on a wig that I wore for my last-minute graduation ceremony. I love that I caught this on sale because I've been wanting one of the other BabyLiss Flat Irons, but they were reserved for Pro users only. This is also my first time owning my own flat iron so I was excited. I got this because it looks like it would be just like the Pro version. It was very streamline and smooth because of the titanium plates and stainless steel barrel outer plates. The only downside to this is that the on/off and temperature buttons are right where I rest my hand, so I accidentally shut it off and turned it up on accident a couple times; but it wasn't a deal-breaker. Also, the grip isn't as tight as I would like it when I was trying to attempt to make flat iron curls (even with the lock feature; so I just gripped the covered end to get a tighter grip). Nonetheless, I can't wait to see how it'll work on my actual hair.
I just bought this a week ago, and I'm already in love. I'm a long-time fan of Babyliss pro tools, and this one is excellent as well. I was hesitant that this Sally-only babyliss line wouldn't be as top-notch as the regular, but after trying a few, I'm not worried. I DO think that there is a slight difference, but not one the average consumer or at-home user would notice. I don't think this line is built for heavy salon use, but I could be wrong. I bought this for my own, personal use and it's perfect for that. I am a stylist, I've used lots of irons and this one is definitely a favorite. Straightening and curling with this are effortless. Even with my other babyliss pro flat irons, I sometimes struggled to flat-iron curl my own hair, they were too bulky or square shaped. This is a breeze. I had actually intended to buy a new curling iron, too, but I don't need to now. I have somewhat fine, normal density hair, I use it on the lowest heat setting, which is 300F. I wish I did go lower like a few other babyliss pro irons, but that's preference. The only other negatives I've found so far, are the glove that comes with this is a joke, and I don't find wrapping the hair around the iron like a wand is effective, but that is fine by me I prefer curling other ways. The "glove" felt, which may help protect your skin, but it does not fit properly, especially if you expect to have any kind of dexterity in those 3 fingers it covers. I got a good laugh out of it, though. A+ from me, so far.

I usually only ever buy the cheap straighteners and they get the job done but the results were never as good as I get from the salon and their high-quality tools. Well, the Miss Priss gives me the lasting results I want. It’s a beautiful color, comfortable to use, I love the temp display and range of temp options. The cord is plenty long enough. And I’m able to quickly and easily straighten or curl my hair usually in the first past. My only complaint is that the controls are on the inside of the handle instead of in an easier to access location on the outside or side of the handle.Roseanne M.
I had an original Chi straightener that finally died after 20+ years. I have hated the thought of replacing it but new I would eventually have too! I immediately went for the Miss Priss! Don't waste your money. Pay alittle more to get an authentic Babyliss flat iron. I have kinky hair and in order to straightened my relaxed hair I had to go over the same area many, many times. I purchased another from Amazon and only need to flat iron hair one time. Add the extra money to get the real flat iron.
Having previously used GHDs I opted for these after my GHD’s passed away and these were recommended by a friend. I think I got them on an Amazon lightening deal so the price was a total bargain at the time…I think these are way better than GHDS! This is without a doubt my favorite straightener that falls under an affordable price for the average person. I've used many that were really horrible in the same price range. This one has adjustable temperature and heats up in 30 seconds. It only takes 1 or 2 swipes down the hair to smooth it out so you are not overheating and damaging your hair completely. It leaves your hair shiny and flawless while taking no time at all to actually straighten all of your hair. The automatic safety shut off is an awesome addition to this flat iron as well!holly.k
I can't see myself ever spending $150-$200+ on a flat iron .. Although I was almost to that point. I tried many mid priced irons in the past several months since I got my hair cut to my shoulders.(cut 17 inches off!) I never really styled it when it was so long … It just took too much time. I bought a couple of conair irons to try .. And I wasn't impressed. Something about this one caught my eye and I bought it. I tried it for the first time and was SO annoyed and disappointed .. Because it worked so well – but my hands always pushed the settings buttons when I ironed my hair, and turned off the iron or changed the heat setting. I tried many different ways to hold it.. And finally figured out that the middle part and end of the iron did not get hot. That's the natural place you want to hold the iron when you straighten, but I've been burned before when I did that.. So I automatically always held my irons closer to the cord end of the iron. But the outside of the plates do not get hot – even at 455 degrees. So finally .. I can hold the iron and squeeze the plates where I've always needed to!AJ
As a black woman with natural hair, this is the best flat iron I've ever had. I've had it for 6 years and it shows no signs of stopping. Yes, the buttons are in a bad place, but that is nothing when compared to how great it works to leave my hair frizz-free! Eventually, you'll figure out how to hold it so that you aren't pressing buttons. I did. I'm getting another one since I left mine on vacation ughkhandi78
