I started using foundation back in 2000, when I had just started my freshman year of high school. I unfortunately was one of those teenagers who had to start the constant battle of ACNE PRONE SKIN and I was tired of tormenting myself with extensive expensive products routines. It wasn't until the day I discovered this Neutrogena Skin Clearing product that my whole life changed. It's now 2020 and I'm still using the exact same foundation color *NUDE 40* I still see a noticeable difference in my skin after I apply it as part of my Everyday Beauty Routine. It gives me fantastic coverage without looking heavy or cakey my skin just looks natural healthy because of its smooth and light texture. It is able to cover all my imperfections and doesn't cause me to break out just simply feels great against my skin. PLUS- it contains salicylic acid which helps with my acne makes sure not to clog my pores. I absolutely hate to cover my breakouts with makeup because I feel like I am not letting it heal and possibly making the situation worse. However, when I use this foundation, I feel a lot better knowing that the breakout is being treated instead of worsened. In addition, I do feel like my breakouts clear up a lot faster when I use this foundation while pairing it with the . Though it's a little pricey for a drugstore Brand Foundation, Powder, Concealer constant monthly purchase, its continued Quality and Benefits will keep me continuing to re-purchase recommend it to other people who could benefit from it. If you are prone to getting breakouts, or you are looking for a nice oil-free foundation, and you are NOT allergic to salylic acid, you should definitely give this a try. I had high hopes for this product when I ordered it during a massive sale that Neutrogena was having on their website. I even went and spent hours inside a random drugstore looking at bottles of the colors trying to figure out which shade of the foundation would be the right shade for me. Neutrogena even provides a booklet with color swatches. No dice. The "booklet" they provide is way off. Whoever does their printing prints like… text books. You can't rely on foundation shades printed from random laser printers?!?! This entire experience of hoping for a great liquid salicylic acid acne medication foundation that came in a limited number of like 8 skin tones reminded me way too much of the time I wasted thinking the Clinique Liquid Acne Foundation would be a good fit. In fact, the situations are eerily similar. Both are skin-care geared brands. What on earth. How lame. Why can't they get it together and do some decent skin tone research? What in the actual eff? I'm amazed. I went to grab some samples from the mall since summer is approaching and my current sephora foundation will not hold up in the heat,and other foundations break me out. The clinique lady offered me this..I was skeptical bc normally, clinique is not for me..never enjoyed their line much. THIS is different. It goes on lovely, color range nice, 1 layer has great coverage, pore friendly, not cakey and very long wearing!! I even slept it in ( didn't mean to) and next morning most of it was still on and I didn't break out. Granted it's been a day but if it keeps like this, this will be my go to!! my skin breaks out within hours of most foundations but not with this. Im not very particular about foundation as long as it is oil free and fragrance free for my combo aging skin. I like a med coverage that is not too matte and not too dewey. I had high hopes for this, but it just layed on my skin. It never really dried. I did not have a primer or moisturizer underneath that could prevent it from drying. Took forever to blend and it separated and moved on my skin all day. For example if I blew my nose the foundation completely came off. If I put my head on a pillow I had a big splotch of foundation rubbed off my forehead. Secondly I purchased the color Buff which is usually my universal shade in any brand and let me tell you it is straight up big bird yellow. Hoping I can return and go back to my Superbalanced. To provide context for this review, I have combination skin; pretty normal with a moderate amount of sensitivity. This felt nice on the skin and blended pretty well. I got a good match for my skin tone and it did not oxidize too much. However, after just 1 hour. my skin looked oily and there was substantial breakthrough in the Tzone. I don't have many wrinkles, but this foundation accentuated the few that I do have, so it was not flattering on me. It is also not as transfer proof as I would like. This foundation may do better on me in the winter (first time I tried it was at the end of summer, in a moderate, dry climate). Based on my experience, I would think this foundation would be a good choice for people with dry skin. I found that it photographed well, provided the pictures were taken within the first couple of hours after application. Overall, I was disappointed with the performance of this foundation. It's so weird. I originally bought this product a month or two ago in the shade Light. I'm usually NC15 and it looked like a good match for me online. I got it, and it was darker than I thought but not outrageously so, just enough that it bothered me. However, the formula and coverage itself was wonderful and became my every day foundation even if the shade wasn't the match I wanted. So then I went ahead and bought the Fair, hoping it'd be a better match, and even if it was too pale, it's almost winter time anyway. The color match was better this time with the Fair. I am 60 years old, with dry, sensitive, post-menopausal skin. I have fine lines, redness and enlarged pores to consider, when using complexion products. My skin is light with pink tones. I look for clean formulas without chemical sunscreen. I just could not find a medium-coverage foundation that is not matte (looks dry and settles in lines) and not dewy (transfers easily and emphasizes pores). I have tried so many products, have read all the reviews, and have heeded store employees' advice. And yet, my holy grail foundation remained out of reach. Until I tried the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation. PROS: This formula grips to my primer without mottling and is not drying nor dewy. It is comfortable on the skin and protects my skin without irritation. The wear is very good, providing a skin-like finish that can handle the occasional hot flash. I was able to find a good shade match. I like the pump tube component. CONS: This product is only offered at Ulta and the brand website, so I worry about the company discontinuing it for lack of volume sales. I'll start off by saying I was NOT a fan of It's original cc cream… It was too heavy, but worse still, were the shades. I'm usually a "light" or "light/medium" and their "light" is a hideous yellow color with a very GRAY cast to it. Their "medium" is just pumpkin orange on me. So I could never find a match. On a whim, I tried their "Bye Bye" foundation in the shade light/medium though. And to my shock, this shade was pretty much a PERFECT match. So my advice is, IGNORE what they say the "undertones" are… The light/medium is NOT cool toned. If anything it is warm/neutral. And I'd look at the newer shades they make because I honestly think they are much better and more realistic looking. Also, the formula of this foundation is incredible. It is literally the ONLY thing I've ever found to replace my beloved and very expensive, Chantecaille "Future Skin" foundation. It doesn't settle into fine lines AT ALL and it looks great all day. And when I do a "half and half" test (meaning put the "bye bye" foundation on one half of my face vs. another foundation) it wins EVERY TIME! The ONLY downside is how difficult this foundation is to get out of things. It sticks in makeup brushes like I've never seen and is murder to wash out. Other than that though, this is perfection. It pairs PERFECTLY with their "bye bye" illuminating concealer. I tried their "illuminating" cc cream too and it was a glittery disaster!! But just like their illuminating concealer which has NO glitter, the "Bye Bye" foundation ALSO has no glitter– just diamond powder in it. So you get a subtle glow with this foundation with NO glittery residue!Marinajc

I loved elf’s BB cream because it was enough to cover/blend dark spots and acne scars, but also let my real skin shine through a bit. I also like moisturized/dewy VS. Matte. Now that my favorite bb cream is never in stock, I asked for a rec from a friend and she suggested this one. Needless to say, it’s a big price jump. But I do really love this! Coverage is just what I want, I still spot conceal any stubborn acne but it covers any scars or pigmentation. It stays all day (ALL DAY), and blends without any lines or oxidation. You do need to moisturize well or use something dewy (glossier futuredew for me) to really get that glow, but it definitely isn’t harshe matte by itself. Picking a shade was tough Online because I’m not used to so many undertone options. I’m pretty fair, couldn’t decide my undertone, so I went to store for shade matching. Even though I could probably get away with a few different shades, matching in store with the matching technology confirmed the one I was leaning toward. The shade range is amazing and is a very good option for women of color and women with with a neutral or olive undertone, especially Indian women looking for a new foundation. This is my new holy grail and my forever foundation, its also very beginner friendly. I moisturized and primed my face beforehand and then used my finger to dab some onto my head, cheeks, and nose, and using a beauty blender I started to blend it outwards until it disappeared into my skin. I have to say it blended really well and melted into my skin straight away, without settling into any fine lines. Although I find the formula to be quite thick and pigmented, it isn't heavy on the skin and I only required a small amount to cover any slight redness and uneven areas. The result? Airbrushed but natural. My face was very uniform-looking, and there was a slight glow which I liked and was not expecting. This is a silicone-heavy formula which ultimately I would not be able to use daily, I will definitely be using it on special occasions, as it provides a good amount of coverage that still leaves you looking natural. One little oddity I did come across was 'Alcohol Denat' as the 5th ingredient, but as someone not planning on using this often, I'm not overly concerned about this. This is not for me. Don‘t get me wrong. This has great pigment and to mix it with SPF can give you a nice coverage. But if you have dry or dehydrated skin from Tret like I do this is not for you. This makes my skin look so dry. It‘s because my skin is dehydrated and everything soaks in. But I‘m pretty sure it looks nice on normal and oily skin. If you like natural looking without foundation, take a drop and mix it with your SPF. For buying a new foundation on-line, the 37N turned out great for my neutral medium skin tone. Just a tad light, but going into winter and my mineral powder provides enough color on top. I read the directions on-line before purchasing since this is a blendable formula you must mix each time and express any product from the applicator to get fresh product. Had some difficulty at first as it seemed product was stuck in the squeeze dropper so nothing was going into it or coming out. I was able to free up the product finally to apply. Excellent coverage that DOES NOT oxidize or fade after application. I had melasma and acne scars so coverage that doesn't fade is important. IT foundation fades after application 😐 I had this on all day without primer or setting spray just some mineral powder. Excellent staying power even after touching my face!! I have used the dermablend coverage cream foundation before but for day to day use it feels heavy and looks a little too make-upy. I like this Creator formula better as you can dictate your coverage level you want – light, medium, full.JBC

I discoverd this brand after an accidnt left my face badly bruised (to put it lightly) A few years ago & this was the only brand that completely coverd my bruises w/o looking caked on (Dermablend Cover Creme Full Coverage Foundation) This was my 1st time using the drops & I'm in love all over again, it's perfect for everyday use, has awesome awesome coverage while still feeling super light on my skin & lasts all day! Im actually able to get the full coverage I've been looking for with just 1 drop & even then i still have some of the tiny drop left over when I'm done! & all that at a reasonable price, another one of the reasons why I love it! I have a Golden Glow (PurePressed and Amazing Base) skin color match. Medium olive, golden, yellowish. Hadn’t tried Liquid Minerals before, but first wanted to try the new tinted serum. Loved it, but it wasn’t a good color match for my skin. I exchanged it (Medium 4) for the Golden Glow Liquid Minerals and it could not have been a better match!! I moisturize before and use a light dusting of PurePressed powder after application (as well as a few spritzes of Pommist). It’s beautiful…not drying and feels great on my skin…and no allergic reaction to any of the ingredients, which was a huge issue before discovering Jane Iredale!! I have also purchased the Powder Me SPF in Golden for another option for over the Liquid Minerals when I need more protection than what the PurePressed offers. So…since Liquid Minerals is being discontinued (very sad for us hard to match skin colors), I have purchased three more so I can keep it on hand! So the question is…What do I do when I eventually run out?!! This is the best foundation combo I have used by Jane Iredale-and I have strictly used JI for at least the last 15 years!! No allergic or breakout problems! What a relief! At this point I am 71 and now have Normal to Dry skin instead of the oily skin that I had early on, so some changes in my JI products have evolved. Color matches my complexion perfectly (neutral, medium skin with olive undertones= Suntan). It feels nice and light, and very moisturizing. The downside is I find it difficult to blend into my skin– either directly on top of my moisturizer or over the Smooth Affair primer. I use fingers and brush recommended and still find it a little streaky as well as settling into my pores (not the look I'm after!). I will keep it for when I want a more formal, made up look, as I think with adding a setting powder it would look pretty good. But, definitely won't be using for everyday wear. 1st things 1st: I love this product. My skin has changed recently due to age and chronic illness. So, I've been looking for a product for a year that would look and feel right as well as be good for my skin. My journey started when I looked up what my favorite soap actress, Laura Wright (General Hospital), wears on her face because it always looks so good. The result was finding this makeup and learning a lot about make up itself. I do not usually buy things because a celebrity wears it. It seems pretty silly to me, usually, lol. But I’m glad I got beyond that this time. The first thing I noticed is that it does not come in a box and the bottle looks kind of clinical. As if it came from the dermatologist. I am personally happy with the company spending the money on the product and not the packaging. The first bottle I bought was too dark. I originally went to the website and did their tutorial. It told me to buy beige. I thought it might be too dark by looking at it online. But I tried it anyway. It was really way too dark. I kept it and decided I would use it for contouring when I needed just a little shading. I then bought Opal, which I thought would be better and I was right. It was perfect for my skin. It is very creamy, very nice texture. It does have a slight chemically odor that leaves as it dries. It melts in nicely. It is easy to blend, and it dries nicely. Heads up: Let it dry completely before making up your mind. I think if I was to do it over, I would order their 10$ sample card. It does look a little different as it dries. There are not a lot of colors. However, you can custom blend 2 together. This is an expensive foundation, but VERY worth it. You won’t use as much because of its consistency, and it dries feeling like you have something on, but light and feels like skin. It seems to wear well, and my skin feels firm in it. This is going to be my go-to for nights out or when I want to look special. I will keep my bb cream for daily wear. However, You could absolutely use it every single day. It is not heavy or greasy. It is GOOD for your skin. It helps it to retain oxygen and moisture. It has salicylic acid, so you won’t break out. It was developed for on-screen activity, so it is durable and long lasting. This is the best foundation EVER!!! Because of Covid and masks, I developed a skin condition called perioral dermatitis. I tried sooo many foundations, like literally no joke 30 foundations from younique to everything at ulta and Sephora! Everything made my rash worst and had so many additives in them. This is the only one that doesn’t irritate my skin or clog my pores or make my face rash worst. It covers amazing with a couple applications. I got the taupe, I’m blonde and have a medium skin tone and it blends amazing. It does seem pricey but I use it about 3/4 days a week when I go to the office and so far one bottle has lasted me a month. This is the only foundation that I will wear. It prevents me from breakouts, is moisturizing, and super natural looking while also providing solid coverage. I tried at least 10 different foundations before I found this one and always would wear full coverage ones. This one has got me to love my natural skin and wear less makeup. The only downside is the price and the quantity. It’s very expensive for how much you get and basically lasts me one month. I love this foundation. But why, oh why do you have to change things?? I used beige in the summertime, it was lovely and perfect for my skin tone. Then you changed the colours. Now we have cool beige, which is orange, and warm beige which is VERY orange! No.7 assistant in store told me Calico is the nearest match – far too light. I looked like something from the Addams Family! Beige was always difficult to get, presumably because it was so popular. Are you familiar with the phrase “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”? I fail to understand why you’d change something that is such a good seller? My Winter colour is cool vanilla. Again, perfect for me. I havnt been able to get it since before Christmas. I was looking for a replacement for No.7’s wonderful Beautifully Matte Foundation that has been discontinued. This is not it! The foundation was a greasy, gelatinous mess that laid on my skin. It literally felt like it was melting off my face. I tried on 3 different occasions to work with the product (using different moisturizers/primers/powders) but gave up and returned it. I also tried the Stay Perfect foundation, but after the wonderful formula of the Beautifully Matte foundation, this one fell short too in its coverage. I’m sad to say I’ve left the No. 7 line of products all together. I’m a brand loyalist but this brand leaves me nothing to be loyal to.Tanya

As a staunch doublewear fan, as my skin is maturing (I'm 44), I wanted to try lighter, kinder foundations. I like this quite a lot. I like the consistency (slightly gel like, similar to doublewear light) and it has a pleasant, light scent that smells like skincare rather than makeup. It has a decent, medium coverage that doesn't cake or dry out at all on my combination skin. It doesn't sit in fine lines either. Its staying power is actually pretty good, especially if used with a primer. It does need touching up on my t-zone by the afternoon. I found it does oxidise on my skin so I think a primer is key and maybe going a shade lighter than you usually would. The SPF and skin care benefits are a no brainer for me. Overall , creates a natural, healthy look that looks like good skin. A surprisingly good find for skin that wants to breath but still wants to look pretty. The foundation has a creamy consistency, quite similar to the Double Wear from Estée Lauder although its finish is completely different. The packaging doesn't come with a pump and honestly I thought that that was a plus, because I like to apply very small amount on each layer and I'm not sure I would be able to control the amount that we'll with a pump. The smell of the foundation is quite funny. It smells almost like paint. The smell goes away after the foundation is set. The coverage of this foundation is medium to full, but you can easily make it into a sheer coverage as well. It all depends on how much you apply and how many layers. I have lots of blemishes and some texture/enlarged pores and I find this foundation to not accentuate any of it. It blends well on the skin and gives me a really beautiful natural matte finish. It doesn't transfer after it dries. I like to pair it with the Strobe Cream in Pinklite and the finish gets slightly more luminous and natural but not greasy. I apply one very thin layer of the foundation with a brush and then I reapply it only on my problem areas where I have more hyperpigmentation and it covers everything without looking heavy. I have to mention that this foundation looks beautiful in person but even better on pictures/videos. I love this foundation and I highly recommend it! It's one of my go to foundation of the moment. I've always used drugstore brand powders as I have always had a fairly even complexion and despised how cakes and gross liquid foundation is. But now at 36 I'm noticing powders tend to settle more into fine lines and make my face look drier than it needs to. This foundation leaves my face feeling so light, but moisturized and really helps to minimize the smaller stuff that was aging me with the powders I was using. I picked color N40 and it blends perfectly with my skin tone. I tried it on when I got out to the car and my husband was like "Wow! It looks just like your skin, but I don't like that it covers up all of your little freckles." LoL. The coverage is definitely buildable. It doesn't take much if you just want a light coat and a very natural look, so the cost difference isn't quite as bad as I thought it was going to be. This one is definitely a keeperAshley

I've probably tried every foundation Sephora and Mac has to offer and this is the one I always come back to. I really don't understand the other low ratings… 1. This foundation is the only one I'd use without a primer or setting powder. It doesn't need it, and I like that it's optional. I feel like other brands rely so heavily on setting foundations with other products to get you to buy more stuff. This (and Mac pro longwear concealer) is like professional-grade makeup. Tried and true. 2. On my wedding day, my MUA and I planned to use either EL double wear or too faced born this way, depending on how my skin was feeling. The day came and both products were emphasizing all my texture and/or sliding off my face. I literally ran to my room and found my old bottle of Studio Fix and wore it. Best decision ever. Did not budge and lasted all day. Full coverage yet natural. 3. This covers scars. I can spot conceal with this foundation and it blends into my skin so well. I also buy a lighter shade as concealer in the summer. 4. It's not finicky. Again, you don't need to (but can) use primers and setting powders. It works with most other products (except for silicone-based primers which makes it dry out and oxidize and can separate). I don't know why I ever stop using it but i always have a bottle. I guess when you find the perfect formula, you get bored and try what's trending. Love it.Rafena

Almay, I love that your products are hypoallergenic, but I don't understand why, if you specialize is sensitive skin (so most likely your clientele is post 35, as skin becomes more sensitive with age), all your foundations are either matte or for oily skin. Where are the moisturizing dewy, luminescent foundations for women mid-late 30s and older? I am 43, and have light warm toned skin. I bought this foundation because I needed something hypoallergenic that doesn't irritate and give me a rash, and it said the product was moisturizing so I bought it. My first disappointment is that your color options are all either cool or neutral in the light and medium shades. There are no lighter shades in a warm undertone. So I got the neutral buff. It's an okay color, but too ashy, almost a slight green/gray tint against my fair golden undertone skin. Ashy tones are aging. The finish is quite matte and looks cakey. I used my fingers; maybe I'm supposed to use a sponge, but I don't like to do that as you actually waste a lot of product with sponges. I actually consider your Skin Shade Matching foundation 'matte' but compared to this one, it's almost dewy, maybe because it's less heavy. So I guess I'll stick with that one instead. If you are age 13-27, have oily skin, and want a matte foundation with fuller coverage, have either neutral or cool skin tone, this foundation will likely be a good fit for you. If you are in your 40s+ and have dry skin, I can't see this being super flattering. Please make a dewy finish foundation specially for dry/mature skin!Ginger1

*** Product bought with my own money *** Application method : sponge PROS : – average consistency that’s easy to blend, – instant true matte finish (at least on me), – decent lasting power (not stunning, just good) as long as the skin is not oily, – natural finish, neither cakey nor too makeupey, – light to medium coverage (at best), – non-drying, – comfortable to wear. CONS : – slightly gooey texture (though less gooey than Almay TLC Makeup) which is still too thick to fill in pores, – emphasizes pores immediately, – creases very badly on oily areas within 2 hours, – settles in expression lines (except around eyes which is my driest area), – average shine control, – no blurring effect (just the opposite of the so called "optical blurring technology" claim), – limited shade range, – no pump, – bad quality control. COMMENTS : This foundation is a mixed bag for me. On the one hand it has a true matte finish (which I love), is easy to blend and has a decent lasting power. But on the other hand, it creases and cakes on oily areas as soon as oil peeks through, settles in every lines (forehead and smile lines), and emphasizes pores upon contact (and even further as day goes on). I can’t see the logic of launching a true matte foundation that works only on normal to dry skin while the most logical targeted skin types should be the oily/combo ones. I can’t find a good match : 100 Cool Ivory is a touch too light (but way too pink) and 110 Neutral Buff is one to two shades too dark (but has a gorgeous yellow undertone without any peachiness). This does not necessarily worsen my rating, it just means there’s not my shade in this range. I end up mixing 100 and 110 in equal parts to get a decent match (but I hate mixing shades, it's a waste of time and product). There are at least several shades missing between 100 and 110 as there’s a huge jump between them (as shown in a joined picture). I’d like to point out the poor quality control : – the consistency of the foundation changes from one shade to another : 100 Ivory is way thicker (and has more coverage) than 110 Neutral Buff, then 120 Cool Bisque (just bought this one for comparisons) is thicker again, – the label doesn’t stick well to the bottle (there are lots of air bubbles under it) and the silver printings flake and vanish super fast. Now let’s talk about the missing pump. Seriously, Almay, how can you launch a new foundation in a glass bottle without a pump on it ??! The formula is too thick to easily pour it out of the bottle, and such an old-school bottle doesn’t offer good control over the amount of product you get (which means it's messy and there’s a waste of product). I’ve seen on your Instagram account that you claim the lack of pump is a choice of yours "to eliminate the use of unnecessary plastics in our packaging". This is hypocritical as you are still launching new products with plastic-based packagings. If you really wanted to use less plastic, without penalizing users who like the praticity of a pump, you should at least sell reusable pumps. I just think the pump was removed just to reduce the manufacturing process, nothing laudable here. I join a picture that shows I fitted pumps on my bottles. The Colorstay pump works fine (you'll have to change the pipe that goes into the product as it's too short) but the cap becomes tricky to put back as it does not touch the bottle anymore (you may accidentally press the pump if you push the cap too far). I chose to use other pumps with a 24/410 ring and a long pipe that I can cut at the right length. I also join a picture of dry swatches of the three lightest shades compared to my go-to foundation in the two shades that match me the best (Urban Decay Stay Naked in 20NN and 20WY) Will I repurchase ? Absolutely not ! Even if there was a good shade match, the overall performances are just average (except for the gorgeous-but-short-lived matte finish). Let’s hope that Revlon (which is Almay’s parent company) will launch their own version with a more sophisticated and better performing formula.Arosci

I use Almay clear cinplexion 4 in 1 since it came out, I used this line for over 20 years, a few discontinued products with better replacements til now. The new version added prebiotic and aloe, I now break out from it and this product was recommended as a replacement via email by almay, however I broke out terribly. And still don't know what to use next, I will be trying cliniques version of complexion clearing liquid foundation as a last resort, hoping to find it works the same and doesn't orrotate my sensitive skin. I have birthmarks all over my face, and due to Covid the makeup that I used to cover would come off on my mask, so I needed something longer lasting. I found the Maybelline 24hr Color stay and was hooked. I hadn't purchased any other foundation since, not even the more expensive product I've worn for years. Well sadly this morning after applying the last of the 24hr wear, I opened the new 30hr wear assuming it was just going to blend in and cover, but it didn't. I shook the bottle assuming that maybe I didn't mix it together, but that was not the case. The new product did not mix well with the old product and did not cover my birthmark. Normally after setting it is the perfect neutral color, but this turned orange and blotchy. I had to go in with my tried and true old creme to powder and blend because I was short on time. Really wish I could stay a customer, but product no longer covers for me, so on to the next long lasting makeup.ElleinSeattle

I initially really liked this foundation. I have very oily skin, and it was comfortable to wear through my 12 hr work-shift. I didn't notice it separating around my nose and forehead once my oils came through, and it did a nice job of keeping my oil under control overall. My issue(s) with the foundation is that it definitely oxidizes a good shade darker (at least) and I started having breakouts. I have had my acne under control for several years now, and about 2-3 weeks of using this foundation I started developing large painful acne. The foundation is the only thing which had been different in my routine, so I had stopped using it for a week to test my theory. Sure enough, my face cleared in that time and once I went back to using this I developed another round of large acne spots. It is disappointing since I am still trying to hunt down a replacement for my beloved Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation, and this initially gave me high hopes. I will not be continuing to use this product.Shawna W

PROS: – This stuff STAYS ON. When I prime correctly (moisturizing primer to prevent oil production) this foundation sets and don't budge an inch for hours and hours. I wore this in a snow storm for a wedding, getting pelted with icy snow, being bothered by my hair and my jacket's hood, and the foundation was not fazed at all. – It's definitely full coverage. I color correct underneath and I never use concealer with this foundation: it just doesn't need it. One thin layer of this is all you need. CONS: – Sets FAST. Not easy to blend for this reason. You have to move VERY quickly. – Formula is full coverage, but also pretty thick, not runny at all. This makes is easy to accidentally cake on too much, which looks particularly bad with this foundation. – Can be a bit chalky if too dry or caked on. I never set this with powder except for under my eyes. CONCLUSION: This is tricky to work with and can easily look bad, but when done right it's serious full coverage and long wear for a good price. I would recommend this as a cheap option for full coverage, long wear, formal occasion makeup, I don't see this being an effortless everyday foundation.MissVitaB

This is not for me. Don‘t get me wrong. This has great pigment and to mix it with SPF can give you a nice coverage. But if you have dry or dehydrated skin from Tret like I do this is not for you. This makes my skin look so dry. It‘s because my skin is dehydrated and everything soaks in. But I‘m pretty sure it looks nice on normal and oily skin. If you like natural looking without foundation, take a drop and mix it with your SPF. You have to shake it well because sometimes it‘s not taking product into the pipette and it‘s of thicker consistency. You just need a half of a drop if this makes sense.justme

For buying a new foundation on-line, the 37N turned out great for my neutral medium skin tone. Just a tad light, but going into winter and my mineral powder provides enough color on top. I read the directions on-line before purchasing since this is a blendable formula you must mix each time and express any product from the applicator to get fresh product. Had some difficulty at first as it seemed product was stuck in the squeeze dropper so nothing was going into it or coming out. I was able to free up the product finally to apply. Excellent coverage that DOES NOT oxidize or fade after application. I had melasma and acne scars so coverage that doesn't fade is important. IT foundation fades after application 😐 I had this on all day without primer or setting spray just some mineral powder. Excellent staying power even after touching my face!! I have used the dermablend coverage cream foundation before but for day to day use it feels heavy and looks a little too make-upy. I like this Creator formula better as you can dictate your coverage level you want – light, medium, full.JBC

I've never left a review for anything ever but this makeup is just so so awesome that i want to shout it from the rooftops & let everyone know- this foundation is the absolute best! I discoverd this brand after an accidnt left my face badly bruised (to put it lightly) A few years ago & this was the only brand that completely coverd my bruises w/o looking caked on (Dermablend Cover Creme Full Coverage Foundation) This was my 1st time using the drops & I'm in love all over again, it's perfect for everyday use, has awesome awesome coverage while still feeling super light on my skin & lasts all day! Im actually able to get the full coverage I've been looking for with just 1 drop & even then i still have some of the tiny drop left over when I'm done! & all that at a reasonable price, another one of the reasons why I love it! I've immediately fallen in love with any of the Dermablend products I've tried. I'd recommend this foundation (& brand in general) to anyone, u can't go wrong with it- it's just the best ❤️In love

I have been looking for a liquid foundation that is silicone-free, light, and free of other ingredients I'm sensitive to. I was hopeful this was it! I ordered a sample and when I went to apply it, I found that it had the same consistency and smell as STRAIGHT UP PAINT. I am pregnant and I was looking for something safe and clean. The ingredients are amazing . This is great, has a light coverage and feels great in the skin. I bought the samples first so I could choose my shade. I live in Florida so I like to use the powder of the same brand. The circumstances for when I first got this foundation we're totally a coincidence. I had gotten a BareMinerals gift of another one of my favorite products in a shade that was too dark. Prom was also coming up and I needed a foundation that would keep me matte and look good in pictures. So I went to the BareMinerals store and asked if they had any matte foundations, to which I discovered this. Never have I loved a foundation more. I have combo oily skin and this keeps me so so matte, but with a perfectly natural finish. The way my skin looks in this is like a "your skin but better" product. My oily mother normally sticks to the products she's used for years, but the minute she tried this we both had to run out and buy it for our summer and winter shades. It's AMAZING!! I couldn't even understand why it didn't have all 5 stars, but I'm assuming that it is probably a better foundation for oily skin (like most matte foundations are). I use this on top of the Combo Control Milky Face Primer also by BareMinerals, and the compliments for perfect skin don't stop coming (and I have some major acne scarring, so I'm far from perfect😭)Gatito Enthusiast

There are a lot of wonderful things about this foundation: 1) It is definitely full coverage 2) Easy to apply 3) Doesn't cause break outs 4) Matches my skin tone perfectly However, there are a few things keeping me from loving it: 1) It looks cakey and dry on my skin. Even though I have super oily skin, it still somehow manages to look dry and patchy in some areas (even though those spots still end up being oily). 2) It doesn't have the stay power I was hoping it would have. It stays pretty well for the first 6 hours but then starts to wear off. It seems to stay put longer on cooler, less active days so it's probably because of my oiliness. 3) It doesn't mattify as well as I would have liked. Like I said above, it definitely looks dry and patchy on the skin in areas, but my oily skin still shines through. However, some areas stay nicely matte. I have tried wearing it with and without foundation, but I don't see any differences between the application, wearability, stay power, and patchiness. Overall, I like enough to keep it and am going to keep experimenting with it to see if I can overcome the small issues. It is definitely better than most foundations I've tried. Wow. That’s all I can say. Pros- – wide color range with pictures distinctly labeled warm , cool, neutral, making it very easy to find your perfect color – unlike most long wearing foundations, this doesn’t look chalky, thick, or mask like. It ends up looking like skin not like a thick layer of makeup applied to your face. -I have combination skin that’s very easily dried out and then gets flaky and oily, I bought a dewy setting spray from Walgreens to give this a nice satin finish. If your skin is normal you will probably get the satin finish from this alone. Ten years ago I tried the bare minerals powder and a tube lipstick that was shown. I did not care for the lipstick, it went on with an uneven texture, didn’t have a nice finish, and didn’t wear well. The powder foundation was much too yellow and didn’t look nice on my combination skin that’s often much to dry for anything other than a cream. You guys have really stepped it up with bare pro and the mineral liquid lipstick! Blown away by the color selection you offer that includes everyone. It is so frustrating when a brand does not even make a color that works for you. I am fair and cool, there’s a lack of these shades in the market. The shade shell matched perfect.Houston lady

This use to be my go to! for some awful reason though, this liquid foundation makes me break out so bad and it’s makes my skin super oily now. I don’t know why or what changed but I’m guessing the formula or something. Also, the shades are odd, like wayyyyy off now, it looks almost orange like and cheap on my skin, and it has made my acne worse than ever before, just awful. I was in love with this foundation, loyal for a few years now and it really sucked that after all that time, I had to look for another foundation. I Waited a full year in hopes they would bring the original formula and colors back but they never did. I just switched over for the first time to Clinique acne solutions foundation, though it’s 3xs as much, the colors are ON POINT and the best part, it doesn’t clog my pores and make me breakout. Especially now with wearing face masks I do suffer more from blemishes. This makeup has quickly become a favorite. It look very natural and feels breathable on my skin. It makes my skin look flawless. It does not seep into my fine lines. It is easy to apply with a beauty blender and it blends perfectly. It feels so good on my skin. My skin feels soft, can breathe and it covers any imperfections. It has a natural coverage. It does not cake up or break up and the shade soft beige (50) matches my skin tone perfectly. I like that it is makeup and skincare in just one product. It controls shine throughout the day and it improves the appearance of my skin by treating my occasional blemishes while wearing it. I really love the coverage and the additions of ingredients such as vitamin C and hyaluronic complex, however I'm surprised when it calls itself simply ageless that it doesn't include a sunscreen. Their other lower end Covergirl+Olay foundation "Advanced Radiance" includes sunscreen which I like. Since wearing Simply Ageless (without sunscreen) I've noticed a few brown sunspots marks on my nose and I don't spend a lot of time in the sun. I could add my own sunscreen product under "Simply Ageless", but I'm already using a general moisurizerizee under my foundation and don't want to have to add yet another layer. If you can include it in your lower end product, why not with this one? Otherwise I do love it.Deb88

So, I have been searching for the right foundation and the right shade for the past year as I never wore foundation as a part of my makeup when I was younger. Well, now I am 52 years old and have some under eye circles and wrinkles as well as some different dry spots on my skin. There was a lot more to it than I thought and I bought so many foundations, even expensive ones that didn't work. Either they were the wrong shade or the consistency and wearability were undesirable. I was careful before purchase to do a little research on which colors were good with which undertone so my face didn't end up looking to yellow, red, or silvery (another new experience was figuring out what my undertone was) and I chose two colors, medium beige (a neutral color) and soft honey (a cool pink undertone). They are both amazing! It is dead of winter in Montana with no sun in sight so my skin is a bit paler than the rest of the year so mixing the medium beige and soft honey makes the perfect color and shade for me. I am super confident that the soft honey on its own will work great when I tan up a bit. The foundation isn't heavy at all and can be layered. I don't need a lot, just need to even things out a bit now that I am older so one application is perfect. I am super happy with the ingredients since it is like a skin treatment along with being a makeup, and God knows I have been too lazy to do both.Ginx87

I must first say how impressed I am with the complexion match. I typically hate drug store foundations because it’s very difficult to find the perfect match for my skin tone, i usually find something too yellow toned, olive toned, bronze toned, gray tone, or pink toned. This is my perfect shade in one bottle without having to purchase multiple shades and mix them to find my perfect match. The consistency is very light and smooth. It applies well with a foundation brush ( I used my @luxiebeauty 532 Round Top Blender ). It also applies well with a beauty sponge ( I’ve tested it with a @beautyblender ). I do see a difference between using the foundation alone verses with the primer. If you use the foundation alone without primer, it looks just a tad bit thicker and darker than when you use it on top of a primed face. Another way you can apply this is by mixing one pump of the primer with two pumps of the foundation and apply the mixture to the skin. I will have a video on this in the near future. The foundation does look a bit lighter when applied on the primer skin, but using the primer also moisturizes the face and allows the foundation to apply more smoothly and give an airbrushed look. Didn't wow me. I got this assuming it will match my skin perfectly since it claims to blend according to the nearest skin tone. My shade was – Straight up Medium. I had to keep blending for few minutes to get it all on my face. The makeup is white in color and has a creamy texture. However it is very dry on skin and has a very very light coverage. I didn't even like the shade when it adjusted to my skin tone. I would probably use it as a primer or with a tinted moisturizer. The only thing great about this makeup is – it's fragrance free and hypoallergenic. I wouldn't recommend it for brown skin tones.tanmayee.p

This is my favorite drugstore face product. It's effortless and natural and matte. You can even use it to mix into things if you life or make it dewy by adding serum/moisturizer. To me it's akin to MAC face and body but matte. It is sheer, but you can build it up a bit too. I prefer mixing it in my hands first to break the pigment up and then patting/blending it into my skin. I love this stuff so much. I tend to use shade 100 most of the time, and 200 when I get naturally tanned in the summer time. Will continue to repurchase as long as it's available!Pana

I have very oily skin this time of the year,and I find that this product dries it up,and strips it as soon as I put it on. If I use a primer it's hard to blend. (I end up having to use a wet beauty blender to blend it out more.) I also noticed that if I use this product I CANT use concealer because the concealer won't blend at all,and creases horribly. The only good thing about this product is that it DOES match my skin tone perfectly which I NEVER can get with other make ups but because it's so drying and matte I have to use a glow spray after application,which STILL doesn't give me the look I want but also doesn't make me look all dried up,dull,and dead either. I had received compliments on my complexion for decades but flash forward to 2020 and Mother Nature decided to do me a dirty. Over the last two years, my skin tone/color took a wrong turn and what had always worked before no longer worked. For months upon months, I have been searching for a decent coverage that didn't give me a mask of death appearance. After reading reviews I was super hopeful when trying this foundation. Personally I found coverage to be moderate rather than fall. The real dealbreaker for me was the texture though I found this foundation to be very sticky.dlb2022
