1st things 1st: I love this product. My skin has changed recently due to age and chronic illness. So, I've been looking for a product for a year that would look and feel right as well as be good for my skin. My journey started when I looked up what my favorite soap actress, Laura Wright (General Hospital), wears on her face because it always looks so good. The result was finding this makeup and learning a lot about make up itself. I do not usually buy things because a celebrity wears it. It seems pretty silly to me, usually, lol. But I’m glad I got beyond that this time. The first thing I noticed is that it does not come in a box and the bottle looks kind of clinical. As if it came from the dermatologist. I am personally happy with the company spending the money on the product and not the packaging. The first bottle I bought was too dark. I originally went to the website and did their tutorial. It told me to buy beige. I thought it might be too dark by looking at it online. But I tried it anyway. It was really way too dark. I kept it and decided I would use it for contouring when I needed just a little shading. I then bought Opal, which I thought would be better and I was right. It was perfect for my skin. It is very creamy, very nice texture. It does have a slight chemically odor that leaves as it dries. It melts in nicely. It is easy to blend, and it dries nicely. Heads up: Let it dry completely before making up your mind. I think if I was to do it over, I would order their 10$ sample card. It does look a little different as it dries. There are not a lot of colors. However, you can custom blend 2 together. This is an expensive foundation, but VERY worth it. You won’t use as much because of its consistency, and it dries feeling like you have something on, but light and feels like skin. It seems to wear well, and my skin feels firm in it. This is going to be my go-to for nights out or when I want to look special. I will keep my bb cream for daily wear. However, You could absolutely use it every single day. It is not heavy or greasy. This is the best foundation EVER!!! Because of Covid and masks, I developed a skin condition called perioral dermatitis. I tried sooo many foundations, like literally no joke 30 foundations from younique to everything at ulta and Sephora! Everything made my rash worst and had so many additives in them. This is the only one that doesn’t irritate my skin or clog my pores or make my face rash worst. It covers amazing with a couple applications. I got the taupe, I’m blonde and have a medium skin tone and it blends amazing. It does seem pricey but I use it about 3/4 days a week when I go to the office and so far one bottle has lasted me a month. This is the only foundation that I will wear. It prevents me from breakouts, is moisturizing, and super natural looking while also providing solid coverage. I tried at least 10 different foundations before I found this one and always would wear full coverage ones. This one has got me to love my natural skin and wear less makeup. The only downside is the price and the quantity. It’s very expensive for how much you get and basically lasts me one month. I have birthmarks all over my face, and due to Covid the makeup that I used to cover would come off on my mask, so I needed something longer lasting. I found the Maybelline 24hr Color stay and was hooked. I hadn't purchased any other foundation since, not even the more expensive product I've worn for years. Well sadly this morning after applying the last of the 24hr wear, I opened the new 30hr wear assuming it was just going to blend in and cover, but it didn't. I shook the bottle assuming that maybe I didn't mix it together, but that was not the case. The new product did not mix well with the old product and did not cover my birthmark. Normally after setting it is the perfect neutral color, but this turned orange and blotchy. I had to go in with my tried and true old creme to powder and blend because I was short on time. I initially really liked this foundation. I have very oily skin, and it was comfortable to wear through my 12 hr work-shift. I didn't notice it separating around my nose and forehead once my oils came through, and it did a nice job of keeping my oil under control overall. My issue(s) with the foundation is that it definitely oxidizes a good shade darker (at least) and I started having breakouts. I have had my acne under control for several years now, and about 2-3 weeks of using this foundation I started developing large painful acne. The foundation is the only thing which had been different in my routine, so I had stopped using it for a week to test my theory. Sure enough, my face cleared in that time and once I went back to using this I developed another round of large acne spots. It is disappointing since I am still trying to hunt down a replacement for my beloved Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation, and this initially gave me high hopes. PROS: – This stuff STAYS ON. When I prime correctly (moisturizing primer to prevent oil production) this foundation sets and don't budge an inch for hours and hours. I wore this in a snow storm for a wedding, getting pelted with icy snow, being bothered by my hair and my jacket's hood, and the foundation was not fazed at all. – It's definitely full coverage. I color correct underneath and I never use concealer with this foundation: it just doesn't need it. One thin layer of this is all you need. CONS: – Sets FAST. Not easy to blend for this reason. You have to move VERY quickly. – Formula is full coverage, but also pretty thick, not runny at all. This makes is easy to accidentally cake on too much, which looks particularly bad with this foundation. – Can be a bit chalky if too dry or caked on. I never set this with powder except for under my eyes. CONCLUSION: This is tricky to work with and can easily look bad, but when done right it's serious full coverage and long wear for a good price. This is an extremely affordable full coverage mousse foundation. I’m wearing the color “Light Buff” which is a perfect match to my skin tone. Even though this is fragrance free, it does have a very faint chemical scent; nothing offensive but I’m being overly thorough in this review. It is a mattifying foundation so if you have dry or combination skin erring on the dry side, this may not be for you. With the first squeeze of the tube, it comes out almost like clay but after that, it’s a true mousse (I attribute that to settling). This is a true full coverage and I felt I didn’t need to put a concealer on afterwards for any hyperpigmentation. I wore this all day and it stayed on beautifully without feeling heavy or cakey. I’m only giving this 4 stars rather than 5 because of the size of the tube but considering the low price point, it’s still a phenomenal deal. Wow if you are looking for a full coverage matt foundation this is it! The foundation is lightweight and is not too thick where it's going to cake up on your face. I applied it with a foundation ball sponge and it came out perfect. You just have to make sure you find the right shade for your face. I found that I could mix this with a lighter color of a different brand and the consistency was still perfect and the foundation came out smooth. I'm real happy with my purchase and I wouldn't hesitate about purchasing again. I'm 66 and my face is pretty much normal I would say maybe normal to a little bit dry and this is perfect for my face. I do use an an Estee Lauder perfecting primer prior to placing any foundation on. I like this brand. I didn't think I would because the brand I used to use which was Clinique continuous coverage has been discontinued and I was fit to be tied. I have mixed feelings about this foundation… I have combination skin and tried this foundation with and without primers, powder or setting spray result was pretty much the same… Pros: 1. Shade is perfect for me, 2. Feels nice on the skin when applied, don't feel like I'm wearing foundation… And that's about it. Cons: 1. It doesn't stay! Touch your face and you'll have visable fingerprints on your face-no joke! (and nooo! I did not use to much foundation!) 2. It'll transfer easily on to your face mask in no time, 3. My pores are ENORMOUS even on my forehead where I've not even knew I have pores of this size, 3. It creases in the finelines pretty badly, even if I'll set it with a bit of powder, 4. It creates strange dry patches on my skin, 5. after couple of hours wear it starts looking cakey, skin looks oily and you can see that it's breaking 6. if you'll try to fix it or even touch it up it'll make things even worst. Concept was great and I really hoped it'll work but for me unfortunately it's a fail. Shade is perfect for my skin tone but that's about it. I had 010 cool cashmere, firstly shades run lighter than they appear, even after oxidising. I also have shade 044 cool chai so I can mix the two when I wear tan or use as a bronzer, and that too was lighter than expected, so I would say go a shade darker than you think or go try in a shop first. I tried this because of Tati as she is closer so my age I thought I'd give it a go. It is full coverage and a lot does go a long way. You have to dab to blend, no rubbing at all or it will look awful. It is long wearing too and to me, looks better on the skin after an hour or 2. However it does make my lines look worse and I do have to ammend that. The smell isn't great. At all. Does smell like they mixed in some plasticine. For the price its a very good foundation however I probably wouldn't buy again because I am on a journey of finding a foundation I love rather than like. BUT it does depend on skin types, I have combo, and age, if I was 10 years younger I probably would love this.Hayley R

I bought this foundation with high hopes and have tried it out several times. I am so dissapointed. It does not blend out good on my face whatsoever and looks very patchy. I used Smashbox and CoverFX primers but no help. I used high end moisturizers beforehand to ensure no dryness on my skin. Nope. I tired brushes and damp sponges. Nope. I LOVE this foundation. I try to stick to drug store make up simply because of price but when it comes to foundation I’ve always had to use expensive products. My go to was urban decay. My skin is SOOOOO sensitive, I’m a redhead that actually tans, has freckles and I break out all of the time just from outside and the pollution… yes I’m THAT sensitive. But this foundation is the BEST foundation I’ve ever used. It makes my skin look flawless, it’s truly full coverage – unlike other brands that claim to be. It’s light weight, creamy but not too creamy, a little goes a long way, doesn’t cake or crease and truly lasts for a long time. It says 16 hr, but honestly it lasts longer. I’ve fallen asleep and my face still looks fresh. I tell everyone about this foundation because I’m so happy with it. Been using it for months and I don’t plan on going back. It is also extremely easy to tone match compared to other brands- it’s true to the color!!! The bottle will look a little darker than what the shade is, but the foundation itself is true to color – just take a crumb size dab on wrist while shopping and you’ll see what I’m talking about. This foundation claims to be full coverage, however, the coverage is more of a medium buildable coverage. Despite this fact, once layered, it creates a lightweight, super-smooth, matte perfected finish. The formula is quite thick with a mousse-like consistency which I usually do not prefer. This product exceeded my expectations and I would have given it five stars hadn't it been for the unfulfilled claim of being full coverage. The color, #306 (Buff Beige), is remarkably natural looking and neutral in tone unlike many other drugstore foundations I have tried. The finish and feel of this foundation is outstanding in quality and comparable to high-end foundations. I don't even need to use primer with it as it is so smoothing with a blurring effect. I can't believe I waited so long to finally try this foundation. I have a lot of hyperpigmentation, redness, and acne scars and so many foundations that claim to be full coverage don't completely cover all of it. This one does and I don't even need two full pumps. I love the finish and it goes well with all my other products. The shade finder suggested 59N and I went with 58N to account for contour, bronzer, and any possible oxidization and it's perfect. Anyone saying it's too drying or flaky needs to address their own skincare and moisturize and exfoliate before applying any makeup; you can't blame a product for your own lacking skincare.Ilikepizza76
Finding a foundation light enough for my skin had seemed like a pipe dream most of my life. Finding one that didn’t turn me yellow or separate after just a couple hours of wear as well impossible. Thanks to a truly wonderful Christmas sale at sephora I decided to buy it and see if the hype was real. Yes it is. This is quite literally the only liquid foundation I’ll use now. You only need a little to get full coverage. It’s a smooth matte formula that doesn’t sink immediately into every little crevice and line. It’s lightweight and doesn’t clog the pores. What’s truly amazing though, is that it can actually stay perfect (with the help of setting powder) all day and all night. I love full coverage long lasting foundations and this is the first foundation that has PERFECTLY and FLAWLESSLY blended in with my skin. The bottle is so sexy and looks so expensive and even the product feels like it’s expensive. Im not a fan of the smell but I have nothing else to complain about when I use this foundation. Trust and believe sis this stuff works and is amazing as well as her other products. My picture only has the foundation, a setting powder and setting spray over it and lasted me ALL NIGHT at work in a wear-house. I used to have this on my MUST HAVES list of my make up routine back when I just started wearing makeup. I would still have it on my list if my fine lines and wrinkles weren't creeping up on me. Definitely gives you the value and quality you paid for and more. It's super affordable and makes your skin super soft and blurrednlook for that photo finished look. 2.5, 3 is just honestly too generous. So first I like the shade but it does oxidize something terrible. Thankfully I use the white LA girl concealer which will highlight anything no matter how orange so whatever it was still fine. Second, I am a dewy girl, a balmy babe, I like to look WET however I still had to break out powder and double spray for this foundation! It looks…fine. But for being just a few hours into my day it could be so much better. I assumed that even though it was dewy, it would dry down with a luminous finish. It does not dry down at all. The texture it is when you first spread it onto your skin is the same texture it will be 30 minutes later. In the age of mask wearing this foundation should be on the bottom of your list, not transfer proof. not even a suggestion of longevity. I bought this #maybellinepressedpowder because of all the great reviews and I typically like #maybelline products. Overall I think this is a fine powder; it's very smooth, the color is perfect, and there packaging is nice. However, it's a little more sheer than I wanted. I've tried it moist and I tried applying it with a thick Kabuki brush but could not get the coverage I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I was not expecting #lancomedualfinish results, just a touch more than this product could provide. I feel the best use for this powder are touch ups, but use the #revlonvolcanicroller first so the powder won't cake in oil. This is a very good and affordable foundation. I have this foundation in “Light Ivory”. The undertone of this foundation is slightly yellow, but after applying concealer and the rest of my base, the shade looks fine. (Since I purchased this foundation, the shade range has been expanded.) I find that this foundation has a medium amount of coverage that can be built up to increase coverage or sheered out if desired. Although this oil-free foundation claims to have a semi-matte finish, I find it has a radiant/ glowy finish. I have dry skin, so I like the finish of this foundation. After wearing this foundation for a few hours, my skin can get oily and require blotting/powdering. I recommend setting this foundation with powder. If you like a foundation that has a dewy or glowy finish, you may really like this foundation. This product is very affordable, although the bottle only contains 20ml of foundation. (The standard amount is 30ml.) I will continue to use this foundation and I will try different primers and powders to see if I can improve the appearance and wear of this foundation. Overall I like this product. It gives me pretty good coverage, not full coverage but it is buildable. I don't like the scent, it smells very fragranced and I enjoy fragrance-less products more. It's also a little drying on it's own and I have normal/combination skin. I HAVE to use lots of skin prep and moisturizers before putting it on, and overall I enjoy more moisturizing, glowy bases instead of matte looks, so this is a great product for people with oily skin/people who love matte, but not for me. I decided to try this foundation again recently after running out of it a few years ago. I clearly just forgot how good it was. The foundation looks beautiful on the skin and you can keep layering and building the coverage up without it looking cakey or bringing out the texture of your skin. If anything it looks smoother the more you put on. I really like the shade range this foundation has as it seems to cater to a lot of different undertones. The shade is perfect for me. The perfect shade for people on the paler side. After setting with a finishing powder, my acne prone skin looked almost airbrushed and it lasted great throughout the day even without a primer. I personally like the smell, I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s not overpowering and it did not irritate my skin. The foundation didn’t seem to cause any acne. I'm really impressed with this foundation. I've previously used the BB foundation stick and Long Wear skin foundation which I highly recommend so I was looking forward to trying this. I was gifted this product in my usual shade 'warm sand'. It does look a slightly different shade to warm sand in the Skin foundation (I've attached a pic – top shade is Skin, bottom shade is Intensive Serum) and once on I think it has more of a yellow tone compared to the Skin foundation shade. I'm not sure if I'll have to change my usual shade in this product because of this. That's not put off because I still really rate it. It has a silky, luxurious feel to it, glides on beautifully and a little goes a long way. I applied it with the BB short foundation brush which gave me an airbrush effect and it's lasting all day. I find this foundation to be really lightweight and feels great on my skin. It can almost be tacky feeling at times though unless i lightly set it. I would say it's about light-medium coverage. It does have a bit of a fragrance but it's not too much for me but I know it could be overwhelming for some others most likely. I do loveee just how lightweight it feels on the skin though, like there's nothing even on. It has SPF 40 so that's also helpful. Also included is Cordyceps, bamboo grass, and lychee extracts. My skin has never reacted or broke out too this product. Now I will say, it is not a cheap foundation. It carries a heavy pricetag, as much as I love this product, I don't know that I would repurchase since there are other foundations much cheaper that work, look and feel just as great as this. I purchased the serum foundation with some doubt. I had chatted with an online artist before purchasing and waited a few days to think about given the extra $. I had been using the foundation stick after the tinted moisturizing balm was discontinued ( please reconsider it's return BB) which was ok. However after using the serum foundation in the same foundation stick shade-natural ( per the artist recommendation) I found it to glide on and not settling into any wrinkles of my aging skin. I used the face brush and found a little goes a long way. I have been using it about a month now daily and still like how it goes on and stays on and blends very naturally with the BB pot rouge powder pink and the highlighting powder for a very natural look with the cream eye shadows of shell and dusty mauve. Hopefully this continues into the drier winter months and works for the hotter summer days. It helped to try it while taking advantage of the BB holiday sale.garden

The good: The shade range is wonderful. A small amount goes a long way and I felt the coverage was buildable which is generally a plus. Love that the packaging is completely recyclable. The not-so-good: The way this behaved on my skin is hard to explain. I was expecting a satin/natural finish but it dried down way more matte than I would like. Unless you have very oily skin, you can probably get away without powdering at all and still be able to blend powder bronzer/blush/highlight. However, I set this with a bit of power around my nose and mouth (where I tend to get creasing) and used my usual setting spray. The coverage does not last at all. If anything touches your face, it completely removes the foundation and it started breaking down within an hour or two. I only wore this for about five hours in total and had ZERO foundation left in numerous places around my face. It looked pretty bad within that short amount of time. If you intend to wear this longer than two hours, forget it. For the price, I'm pretty disappointed in this one. It is way over hyped and I wouldn't recommend splurging on this.Lauren
I purchased online during the 21 Days of Beauty Special. I decided to take a gamble and see if I like the formula. I understand the packaging is minimalistic and eco friendly. For the sale price, I'm not upset by the packaging; I will say for the full price, I would expect more, but I understand the idea behind it. What matters more is the product itself: I have dry skin that I remedy with a skincare routine that brings my skin up to feeling 'normal' throughout the day. After that routine, I applied Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base ever so lightly with a beauty sponge. I dipped the sponge once into the pan of foundation and blended it out over one cheek and my nose. Second dip covered my chin and other cheek. A half dip finished off my forehead. The colour I chose matched perfectly and I only had to lightly blend it on my neck. I applied a few spritzes of a setting spray and pushed that in. Once that dried down, the finish was very skin-like. Not too dewy, not too matte. It did not transfer to my clothes throughout the day. About ten hours in, it did feel a bit dry, but still looked good with no cracking or flaking. I applies a moisturizing facial spray to give myself some hydration and went about my day. That was my first day wearing it and it has performed the same since. I truly believe that each and every person's skin is different; even if you fall into the category of 'dry skin' you may need to take measures to get this to work for you. It is a different texture and formula than most foundations I have tried. Utilize primer and facial spray to help your skin stay moisturized or to control oil if either of those is an issue for you. This is seriously one of the best foundations I’ve ever used in my 30 years of makeup use, for something that is so natural and skin-like as well as easy to use. With properly moisturized skin and a primer (I’ve been using Dr Brandt Pores no More or Milk Hydrogrip) it sits beautifully on the skin all day. My skin is combo, leaning toward oily, and I found that if I apply moisturizer and blot it as I usually do with other foundations, this doesn’t sit as nicely on the skin or last as well and is more prone to breaking up as the day goes on so I feel like being well-moisturized is key but I suspect it might not perform as well on dry skin. Another key is to apply enough BUT NOT too much or it WILL look cakey, and avoid powder afterwards (or only the absolute minimum). I think this is why there are so many people complaining about it looking heavy/cakey. I find that the best way to get an even, thin application is with a damp beauty blender. Brushes tend to look streaky and messy and fingers tend to apply more product than needed. I started with colour 012 first (I am a very fair neutral olive skin tone) and was really happy with it but as summer came my skin got a little darker and I switched to 027. Note that these run very light — I don’t think I have EVER bought a foundation labelled “medium”. I am obsessed with this for the past two months and bring it with me everywhere I go, and I have six or seven other foundations sitting at home ignored now.collleen

Just discovered this foundation from seeing a recommendation from Taylor Wynn’s video last year, but unfortunately couldn’t get my shade at Sephora because it’s sold out. Kinda scared that this foundation is on sale and sold out so much everywhere, it seems like it’s getting discontinued? I had to get my shade at another retailer, but oh my goodness. Beautiful foundation, even in the heat of Houston summer at its peak now. Even 1st foundation (especially a radiant one), I feel like powdering on top would ruin the beauty of its work. I’m combo dry, definitely more dry in winter, but pretty oily now with rare dry spots. I still use mattifying primers underneath (tatcha liquid silk and supergoop unseen spf), and just 1.5 pumps is enough to cover my entire face. Super high coverage even with a damp sponge. Shade 310 silk matches my body, but not my neck entirely, still great for a summer shade, just needs a shade down maybe. Been wearing it for a couple days, and it doesn’t get crazy oily after 6-8 hrs, and looks pretty fresh even after. Love this so much, so much more than the original synchro foundation. This is one of the best foundations I’ve ever tried. It is very lightweight and has natural radiant finish and medium coverage that can easily be build up to full without looking caking. It does not settle into fine lines or creases. It makes my skin feel hydrated, blurs pores, and it also gives me some subtle lifting aspect. I have combination, acne-prone skin and this foundation does not make my skin feel oily or cause me any break outs. It is easy to blend and apply. One pump is just enough to cover my whole face, so I think this bottle will last me a long time. When the light reflects into the bottle I can see some subtle sparkling particles within the foundation. But these particles disappear when applying the foundation to skin. They are not noticeable on skin at all. I bought the shade 160 (shell) which is a perfect match for my skin tone (for comparison purposes, I am MAC Fix Fluid Studio NC18, Dior Forever Matte 1W, Guerlain L’essentiel 2N, Essence Pretty Natural 70). I received this foundation along with the primer complementary for review from lnfluenster. The packaging is really nice, with a locking pump which I really appreciate! Let me start by saying I have combo/oily skin and larger pores on my nose and forehead. For the most part I did like this foundation but it wasn't my holy grail. I tried this out several ways to see how it would perform but I always set with powder and setting spray to give it the best chance. First, I tried it with it's intended primer and a beauty blender to apply. I was at home all day but I didn't touch up at all and it still looked nice. I did try this again with a kabuki brush instead of a beauty blender but I didn't like the application as much. Next, I tried it with a different primer (Maybelline Glass Skin) and it wore about the same, except a tad smoother application. Next, I tried it as a mix in with a darker foundation and it seems to mix well. I do think less it more with this product and for me one-to one-and-one-half pumps is plenty; anymore it tended to settle into any lines I might have. It looked best for me if I powdered only my oily areas rather than the whole face. It isn't transfer proof on my skin (powdered or not) but it wears pretty well if you aren't up to much. I'm a healthcare worker so I spend most of my day in a mask and sadly this foundation doesn't stand a chance against the mask regardless of what I tried. I feel like this foundation would be best for Normal skin with normal pores and minimal texture. I’m shade 302 in the *Aqua Foundation (best foundation ever), so I purchased the same shade in the moisture foundation, it’s about 2 shades darker. I was extremely disappointed! I have been using this wonderful foundation for over a year. I saw it on a U-Tube tutorial by Courtney Cox (Friends)….and I was amazed at how beautiful it looked on her skin. Created 25 years ago for makeup artists in high definition television…its light diffusing mineral pigments visibly blur pores, fine lines and imperfections. Dewy finish! Recently at a wedding I attended I was complimented on my skin and was told that my skin was glowing and that I looked the same as I did 25 yrs ago. I am 54 yrs old and 25 and 30 year old gals constantly ask me about the foundation, etc that I am wearing. My daughter and I both use shade 113. This foundation is incredible, truly a gem of a find. It has the perfect coverage where it feels lightweight but has a decent amount of coverage. The finish leaves skin moisturized and glowing, without feeling oily. Even on hot days, this stayed on perfectly all day. I genuinely DO like the shade, but I tend to use it as more of a highlighter or contouring type thing because it's a bit too light for my liking. I've found that the coverage itself is lovely on its own, but can cause some dryness if you have a sensitivity to SPF possibly? I'm not a scientist, but if I put this on without allowing my other skincare to fully absorb or if my skin is "too dewey" that it tends to pill or roll up into tiny play dough snakes. Hah. But if I put it in by itself, it tends to be a bit chalky afterwards. I also find that a lot of the product comes off on my fingertips or my brushes – which seems like quite a waste. But maybe that's the beauty standard or maybe I need to wash my brushes more often. That being said, it's still a good foundation if you want lighter coverage without having to "cake" it on. My other friends who have tried this foundation absolutely love it, I'm just not it's biggest fan. Postscript: it does seem to clog my pores where I can visibly seem them up close in the mirror. This packaging feels so high end. There is something about the cap that is so satisfying; with the Lancôme rose logo on it. I found a good shade match for my fair yellow skin in 160 Ivoire W. I have applied this with a beautyblender and a brush. I find the brush, Sigma F80 or Real Technique Blend and Blur Brush, applies the foundation smoother and more evenly. It dries fast but not painfully so. I do half my face and then the other half with enough time to leisurely blend. The finish is matte and the wear time is pretty good. I didn’t notice much transfer and it fades with no patchiness. I still set my combination skin with powder but very lightly. I don’t think it’s critical to set with powder, unless you have very oily skin. So, I can see why this is a classic and I think it’s amazing quality makeup but my qualm is that I didn’t see the full coverage claim manifest. I saw a light but build able coverage. This can be built up for more coverage but I don’t see the full coverage miracle. Otherwise, when I don’t have a crisis to cover up, I find this a reliable matte foundation best applied with a brush. For reference, I am in my mid 40s, have hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores and normal skin (on hot days it turns more combination) I got a sample because of this foundation because I was curious about it and i liked it a lot. I consider this one a good foundation for me for the following reasons: PROS: – It works well on top of my skincare and sunscreen (I never rely on foundation for spf protection as you need to apply a lot) – It has SPF 15, which is not enough for your daily protection, but adds up to the spf that I always apply. – It has a beautiful natural finish (I don’t consider it matte) which is the kind of finish I prefer. – It is lightweight: it looks natural on top of the skin. – Good coverage: I don’t consider it full coverage unless you build it up a lot (losing the natural skin like finish and turning heavy instead) I would prefer more coverage but it is enough to cover partially my hyperpigmentation and look decent. CONS: – The price: it is an expensive foundation, but I understand that it is expected for a luxury brand. – It didn’t last 24 hours on me. It may be because of my skincare or sunscreen, so I cannot blame the foundation. Maybe if I had applied it by itself, the finish would have been completely matte and the duration much longer. – Not transfer resistant, at least on me, but it may be because of the same reason I just described. I use shade "fair beige", it isnt listed as an option on influenster though. This is one of my favorite foundations! I have pretty bad acne scars and foundations/concealer that can actually cover my problem spots are really hard to find. Catrice works very well. The bottle itself is nice, had an eyedropper top which makes getting the product out super easy. I put it on the back of my hand before blending onto my face. The foundation has an interesting scent, almost baby powder or luvs diaper type scent. Not unpleasant. Foundation blends well and a little goes a long way. Medium to full coverage and buildable. Feels like you aren't wearing makeup at all once it has been set with powder, and leaves a matte finish with staying power. This lasts all day. Also VERY affordable, order from amazon! I think in theory this is a great foundation. It’s definitely more medium-full coverage which is great for my acne prone skin. The first day I tried it I didn’t use a primer, which was a mistake. It clung to my dry patches (combination skin) and ended up looking really oily by the end of the day. The second day I tried it with the Hard Candy Hydrogrip primer, which helped a lot. I only had to touch up with a little powder later in the day. My biggest complaint with this foundation is that it oxidizes. It looks fabulous going on, but a couple hours later looks too dark for my skin tone. If I had known this in advance, I would have bought a shade lighter. The shade I did buy, however, will look great in the summertime. Overall, this is a great foundation for the price. The circumstances for when I first got this foundation we're totally a coincidence. I had gotten a BareMinerals gift of another one of my favorite products in a shade that was too dark. Prom was also coming up and I needed a foundation that would keep me matte and look good in pictures. So I went to the BareMinerals store and asked if they had any matte foundations, to which I discovered this. Never have I loved a foundation more. I have combo oily skin and this keeps me so so matte, but with a perfectly natural finish. The way my skin looks in this is like a "your skin but better" product. My oily mother normally sticks to the products she's used for years, but the minute she tried this we both had to run out and buy it for our summer and winter shades. It's AMAZING!! I couldn't even understand why it didn't have all 5 stars, but I'm assuming that it is probably a better foundation for oily skin (like most matte foundations are). There are a lot of wonderful things about this foundation: 1) It is definitely full coverage 2) Easy to apply 3) Doesn't cause break outs 4) Matches my skin tone perfectly However, there are a few things keeping me from loving it: 1) It looks cakey and dry on my skin. Even though I have super oily skin, it still somehow manages to look dry and patchy in some areas (even though those spots still end up being oily). 2) It doesn't have the stay power I was hoping it would have. It stays pretty well for the first 6 hours but then starts to wear off. It seems to stay put longer on cooler, less active days so it's probably because of my oiliness. 3) It doesn't mattify as well as I would have liked. Like I said above, it definitely looks dry and patchy on the skin in areas, but my oily skin still shines through. However, some areas stay nicely matte. I have tried wearing it with and without foundation, but I don't see any differences between the application, wearability, stay power, and patchiness. Overall, I like enough to keep it and am going to keep experimenting with it to see if I can overcome the small issues. It is definitely better than most foundations I've tried. Especially for acne prone skin.Kelsey
Wow. That’s all I can say. Pros- – wide color range with pictures distinctly labeled warm , cool, neutral, making it very easy to find your perfect color – unlike most long wearing foundations, this doesn’t look chalky, thick, or mask like. It ends up looking like skin not like a thick layer of makeup applied to your face. -I have combination skin that’s very easily dried out and then gets flaky and oily, I bought a dewy setting spray from Walgreens to give this a nice satin finish. If your skin is normal you will probably get the satin finish from this alone. Ten years ago I tried the bare minerals powder and a tube lipstick that was shown. I did not care for the lipstick, it went on with an uneven texture, didn’t have a nice finish, and didn’t wear well. The powder foundation was much too yellow and didn’t look nice on my combination skin that’s often much to dry for anything other than a cream. You guys have really stepped it up with bare pro and the mineral liquid lipstick! Blown away by the color selection you offer that includes everyone. It is so frustrating when a brand does not even make a color that works for you. I am fair and cool, there’s a lack of these shades in the market. The shade shell matched perfect.Houston lady

This is a very good and affordable foundation. I have this foundation in “Light Ivory”. The undertone of this foundation is slightly yellow, but after applying concealer and the rest of my base, the shade looks fine. (Since I purchased this foundation, the shade range has been expanded.) I find that this foundation has a medium amount of coverage that can be built up to increase coverage or sheered out if desired. Although this oil-free foundation claims to have a semi-matte finish, I find it has a radiant/ glowy finish. I have dry skin, so I like the finish of this foundation. After wearing this foundation for a few hours, my skin can get oily and require blotting/powdering. I recommend setting this foundation with powder. If you like a foundation that has a dewy or glowy finish, you may really like this foundation. This product is very affordable, although the bottle only contains 20ml of foundation. (The standard amount is 30ml.) I will continue to use this foundation and I will try different primers and powders to see if I can improve the appearance and wear of this foundation. Overall I like this product. It gives me pretty good coverage, not full coverage but it is buildable. I don't like the scent, it smells very fragranced and I enjoy fragrance-less products more. It's also a little drying on it's own and I have normal/combination skin. I HAVE to use lots of skin prep and moisturizers before putting it on, and overall I enjoy more moisturizing, glowy bases instead of matte looks, so this is a great product for people with oily skin/people who love matte, but not for me. I mix it with the morphe glowstunner tinted moisturizer sometimes and it helps with the dryness!ollie.c
I decided to try this foundation again recently after running out of it a few years ago. I clearly just forgot how good it was. The foundation looks beautiful on the skin and you can keep layering and building the coverage up without it looking cakey or bringing out the texture of your skin. If anything it looks smoother the more you put on. I really like the shade range this foundation has as it seems to cater to a lot of different undertones. The shade is perfect for me. The perfect shade for people on the paler side. After setting with a finishing powder, my acne prone skin looked almost airbrushed and it lasted great throughout the day even without a primer. I personally like the smell, I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s not overpowering and it did not irritate my skin. The foundation didn’t seem to cause any acne.
