Although I have my doubts about whether the hair oil will stimulate new growth, It has made my hair look and feel thicker and much healthier. Always read the return policy before purchasing. This product arrived in a dirty, stomped on box (the pretty interior box holding the product) and the serum has no safety seal whatsoever. The box is also not sealed. Do you all put this product in your head when there is no product safety seal?! No way for me. Especially since it came in a dirty box. Who knows how adulterated this could be. The return policy says even if dissatisfied as a first time buyer, they will refund LESS the original shipping and you have to ship it back yourself no label provided. Unbelievable. I started adding the Activating Serum as part of my hair growth journey in December 2020, after I noticed a dramatic increase in balding in certain areas of my hair. I had just turned 30 and the pandemic had taken its toll on me, as I'm sure it has for many! I received this product for free from Influenster and Dr. Berg Haircare in exchange for my honest review of the product. I tried using the product several times, alternating how much of the serum I used each time. I did not like the feeling of the serum in my hair, and it seemed difficult to get wash out. The serum felt very oily and greasy feeling while in my hair and it took several washes to get it out. The instructions say to massage it into your scalp for 10-15 minutes. I’m not sure about others, but there was no way I was going to spend 10-15 minutes massaging it in. I have used other serums and never had to massage it in for that long. I didn’t enjoy the fragrance at all. This product may be fine for others, but it’s not something I will be using again.melanie.m
I recently had issues with low vitamin D levels which caused my usually thick, long, healthy hair to become lifeless, dry, and caused lots of hair loss so was excited to recieve this product to try. First off I love the smell of rosemary and it smells so fresh in also like that it has vitamins D E which is much needed especially with the issues that I'm dealing with. I've been using this product for around a month or so and noticed my hair is much shinier and been having less hair loss than before. A little bit goes a long way and I usually use this the night before I wash my hair and use a silk bonnet so I don't leave a mess on my pillows. Okay so first off, the directions are a bit of a turn off. Massage it for 10-15 mins on your scalp? That’s a long time. I did maybe 3 and that was enough for me. Next the scent, not my favorite but bearable. The feel, well…. It’s oil so I expected it to feel oily but this coated my skin and I had to wash my hands twice pretty thoroughly and they still felt a bit oily afterwards. Didn’t really sink in, just sits on top. My hair did look nice and shiny the next day and my scalp felt good and I didn’t see any flakes so it did it’s job. Would I repurchase myself? In the instructions of how to use this oil, it says to work it though hair after a blowout. Very often, I blow out my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush and self-grip rollers. Self-grip rollers have a tendency to pull at the hair and break off small strands. I definitely think this oil is great at smoothing those strands after the blow out. You don’t even have to use a full pump for the oil to do that job. With either 1 full pump or less, the oil smooths the hair without ruining the blow out or making it greasy. My hair gets greasy QUICKLY after washing, so I really enjoy that I can use this oil for blow outs & it doesn’t affect the time in which my hair usually starts getting greasy. Also in the instructions, it says you can use this oil in your hair before washing. I’ve done this a handful of times now. I find the oil dries down in a fair amount of time, so I like that I can douse my hair with multiple pumps, put it in a pony tail, and after about an hour, it looks normal enough to do do things that I don’t have to look really impressive for (ex: errands). However, I notice when I completely oiling my hair up with this, it’s rather drying in comparison to other oils. For instance, I also use the Shea Moisture 100% Argan Oil, which is much cheaper, and it gives my hair that smooth oily feel that I aim for prior to washing. With this oil, I find that myself going back and re-oiling my hair due to the dry feeling. Again, I’ve only used it as a prewash a handful of times, so I have NOT noticed yet that the dryness is a lasting affect after I wash. I haven’t tried this yet on wet hair. Overall, it’s great for blow outs since a small pump goes far and it is light weight. When using larger amounts, I notice the hair feels more than dry than oily, and I worry this will eventually affect the dryness of my hair. This was so extremely disappointing, I even tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and used up the entire thing before giving my review. I honestly love so many Ouai hair products, their detox shampoo and scalp scrub are some of my absolute favorites! Unfortunately this was such a dud, I honestly cannot believe how many positive reviews this has received. First thing, the smell is atrocious. I like nice smelling products, and even if its unscented or a mild scent I usually don't mind but THIS! I could not get over the scent, its a very woody/herb/patchouli scent and its STRONG. Next issue I had with this is that it didn't really hydrate my hair, if anything it felt more dry after, it didn't really absorb and just sat on the hair looking wet/oily. I actually bought this because of Jamie Paige from yt LOL. I was super skeptical in the beginning because I’ve always had issues with my scalp and other pre-washes I’ve used, while they worked initially, ended up not doing anything long term for me. I’ve been using this since the beginning of August and omg my scalp has never been/looked healthier?! I could tell after my day 2 hair that my scalp was hydrated and not dry and starting to flake. And I can actually go a full week now without having to wash my hair (I have super long, curly textured Asian hair). I use it as an overnight treatment and put my hair up in a loose bun. I definitely recommend leaving it in longer than the minimum 5 minutes, I just feel it penetrates the scalp better if you do. I’m not sure why there are comments saying it didn’t help with hair growth…no where in the description does it claim to help with that. The main purpose is to help with dryness and damaged hair. I have very thick but bleached highlighted hair which unfortunately means crazy split/dead ends. After using DIY hair oils, argan, Moroccan, and macadamia oil, which made little noticeable impacts other than intense gorgeous smells, i bit the bullet and purchased this. I literally bought it two days ago, it arrived yesterday; so I used it as a pre wash leaving it in overnight and after today’s hair wash… wow! My hair already feels lush. I love how it washed out well without leaving a greasy residue like all other oils I’ve tried. It smells nice, not too overpowering though which is kind of a let down as I love to be able to smell oils after a wash. Have been using it for at least once a week in the past three months after waxing or using epilator. My verdict is that it is just a nice and affordable moisturizer with a little bit of weird thickness and smell in it. I really could not notice its effect in slowing down the hair growth or hair becoming thinner and lighter. Everything was as it was used to be. Quickly absorbs and the smell goes away quickly though. I've been using this product for several years along with an epilator to remove hair from my legs and minimize hair growth. I bought this after seeing the reviews online. I have PCOS and Hypothyroidism, so facial hair has been a 20 year daily battle for me. Anything to help reduce hair growth or cover up the shadow is worth a try to me. I've been using it for almost a week and notice major differences. Actually, I noticed a difference after just one use. It not only reduces the hair growth speed but also has smoothed the bumpy surface where I am constantly shaving and plucking hairs. The hair is still there but I went from have to do upkeep 3-4 times a day to twice a day, when I wake in the morning and at night before bed. Both are when I apply the Gigi Slow Growth. Some complain about the smell but I like the smell. It's Aragon Oil, so if you don't like it, you won't like this but if you want to reduce the hair growth, you'll do anything. I do use it twice a day even though directions say once a day but I have coarse, dark, man hair on my face and very fair skin. I wanted to hit it hard and it worked for me. Also- it takes a very small amount to make a difference. I see reviews about it not running in or taking too long but I think they may be using too much. For my chin, cheeks, neck and sideburns I use a nickel size amount and spend maybe a minute rubbing it in. A small amount goes a long way.

I've had Chronic Telogen Effluvium for the past 4 years, which basically results in very heavy hair shedding. This stuff helped fill my hair back out when it was noticeably thinning and then maintain a full head of hair the entire time. It's obviously a product that will work for some people and not as much for others, but it's certainly worth a shot. I love the 2%…I did try 5% first at the advice of a dermatologist and I was so sensitive to it that it actually made the peach fuzz on my face far worse (despite the fact I'm careful not to get it on my face). Switching to the 2% fixed that issue, and the liquid is far easier to use than the foam if you have long hair…you just have to be careful to lean your head back a bit so it doesn't run down your face. It doesn't really leave a residue. I only use it once a day and that's enough for me at the point.Madeline

This is a really well-priced alternative to the big name-brands out there charging two or three times the price. In terms of ingredients (active and otherwise), they seem to share the vast majority of them, and after using various over the years, this seems to work pretty much the same. So, in terms of lower cost while still providing a relatively high quality, this is a good product in comparison to market competitors. But, do keep in mind, minodzidil overall is not a miracle drug, and doesn’t really do too much for a lot of people. Personally, after a few yesrs of use, it seems to really only keep my hair relatively thick, but unable to do much in saving my front hairline and crown balding. That is just simply a part of aging as male and cannot be avoided for most men— unless you expect to not have any testosterone conversion within your body! So, the bottom line is, if you want minoxidil in a foam form that is less agitating for the skin than the liquid form, then this is a fantastic product to purchase. This works for me. I am someone who has a very flaky scalp. I use to think it was dry but Ive learned my scalp is overly oily. Whenever I put any type of oil on my hair including Jamaican castor oil straight from Jamaica it causes scaly patches of white. I’ve tried everything. I am truly a fan of this product! The uses for this product are endless when it comes to giving your body a bit of TCL. The consistency is super thick so I highly recommend using a carrier oil. I use Tropic Isle Living Jamaican Black Castor Oil for almost all of my DIY products from my whipped moisturizer down to my scalp oil. However I hadn’t considered using this product on my lashes. I've used plain thick castor oil from a dropper bottle for my hair before, so this applicator bottle was wayyyyy easier and less messy. Plus this formula is thinner so it spread really well. The smell is very herbal and reminds me of a spa, but definitely read the ingredients because it might not be for everyone. I didn't know what to expect because of the reviews, but I loved it and it made the shower smell good when I washed it out. I used shampoo twice and then conditioner and my hair is smooth and shiny, with a healthy scalp for the winter!
I noticed my hair was shedding so much in the shower & that made me really nervous because who wouldn't freak out? I was told that shedding after getting covid was a thing. I wanted to take action and really do something to prevent more shedding. I bought vitamins but wanted to try something more natural so bought this oil instead. I was oiling and scalp brushing my hair with this as well as massaging my fingers through my hair for about 10 min a week before a shower. My baby hairs above my forhead are growing like crazy. I have suffered for a long time with heat and chemical damaged hair that what fine, dry, breaking , splitting, wispy at the ends and just would not grow past my shoulders! Now it is the middle of my shoulder blades in two months maths and still feeling thick at the ends from when I had it cut in November. For my hair to still show a straight trim line three months on has never happened before! So far I am loving this! I have been having an issue with my hair and it thinning out. Since I have started to use this I have noticed a huge change in the effected area. It was not pricey at all, infact I think is super great price. I was looking into others that were more expensive and am so glad I found this because it is sure doing what it is supposed to. A little does a long way. It does have a little bit of a odor to it but it goes right away. Its not strong and smells often bother me. I will definitely be getting this again and I recommend getting this, if you need some help like I did.
